Acts 10

There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,

A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:

He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;

And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.

On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate,

18 And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.

19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.

21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?

22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.

24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends.

25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.

26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.

28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?

30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

  1. 24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends.

Cornelius anticipation of something great from God invited all his family and friends ahead of time. What a wonderful way of thinking, he had no idea what God was going to do but knowing that he has acted righteously before God didn’t fear that was coming was bad. He trusted that God will bless him, and anticipating that blessing, he made preparations to share it with all his loved ones. That’s why it is important that we invite those around us to partake on the wonderful blessing of salvation!!!Teach JESUS, Give JESUS is the best gift we can ever give!!!

  2. Acts 10

1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,

2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:

6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

  3. 22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

God honors faithfulness. It doesn’t matter what pays your faith you have or what you have accomplished in the kingdom or even what other people have, God is going to honor it. It is not the measure of faith that we are given that matters but rather how we respond to what we know and what we have. Just as Peter received the vision and God told him not to call unclean what he has made clean, God has looked at the faithfulness of each man according to what he has any is judged by that. we need to reflect that same acceptance and love towards other people as Christ has shown us.

  4. So in Acts Chapter 10 verses 1-6 it’s talking about how a man In Caesarean called Cornelius which was a devout man an angel of god saying Cornelius thu prayers come up for a memorial then Joppa sent me then Simon had a house on the seaside

  5. 25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.

26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.

One thing that I have noticed in my time living for God, many people become like Cornelius and they worship the man of God and they tend to become infatuated with them. I find that many times when people do this, they end up failing and cause distress among the congregation. I call this preacher religion. No matter what you try to do to convince them that the pastor or preacher is only a man and you can not worship the man. We have to give honor to the position and worship God. We find that Peter stayed to Cornelius, I’m just a man and he pulled him to stand up.

I find that when people get their sense of idolatry of the man broken, they themselves become broken. They tend to fall out with God and lose their faith because of the failure of man. It really is hard to watch, but in the end the people worshiped the wrong thing. God is the only one that deserves all the worship. The Bible states- hear O Israel the Lord thy God is one Lord. We have been commanded to worship him with all our heart, might, and soul. So before we lose our faith and salvation because of the failure of man, we need to reprioritize our faith to put the kingdom of God first then everything else will fall in line. We have to love and honor our shepherd but we must not worship him.

  6. 31He told me, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your gifts to the poor have been noticed by God!

We can always pray and give to those in need. But the poor should not be dependent on the church. For everyone must work to earn what they get. But during times of trials such as this pandemic, yes a helping hand for those who need it good. And continue to pray for those who may have lost their income source, and be able to return to work.

  7. The results in these stories in this chapter, could have all been altered by the lack of their obedience. But, Cornelius and Peter both loved God and were obedient to His direction. They didn’t really question the why, or the when or the how. They simply believed and obeyed. It sounds simple enough; but, many continue to struggle because maybe they don’t have that strong relationship with the Lord or their prayer life is pretty much non-existent. There are also those who have an issue with submission or compliance. We have heard a lot about compliance lately and a lot of people struggle with giving up or yielding things. We must however, yield everything to Christ.

Romans 6:16-18 AMP “Do you not know that when you continually offer yourselves to someone to do his will, you are the slaves of the one whom you obey, either [slaves] of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness (right standing with God)? But thank God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient with all your heart to the standard of teaching in which you were instructed and to which you were committed. And having been set free from sin, you have become the slaves of righteousness [of conformity to God’s will and purpose].” So let us LIVE-GIVE JESUS in obedience!

  8. 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

    40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

It really is just that easy. Just testify of what you know, what God has put on your heart, and let God do the rest. It’s not your fault if they reject. It’s no glory to you if they accept. Everyone needs to be taught this Gospel.

God was, as the saying goes, “working both ends toward the middle.” He sent an angel in a vision to Cornelius and animals in a vision to Peter to prepare them both for the meeting that He was orchestrating.
When God asks you to step out of your comfort zone to do a work for Him, don’t be afraid; He has already been working behind the scenes to set you up for success.
God gets no glory in your failure.

  10. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
Act 10:6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

God knows who we are and where we are. The angel of God knew exactly where Simon Peter was, and knew every detail about him. Are we any different? God knows every intricate detail of where we’ve been and also where we are going. We cannot hide and we cannot run.

  11. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. Anything God made clean is clean God used this parable to show in that anyone can get baptized and receive the holy ghost there people in China and different parts of Nation receiving the holy ghost and getting baptized thanks GoD for our missionary who’s out there spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ

  12. Acts 10
8 And he said to them, “You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew zto associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but aGod has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.

Peter protested against what God was calling him to do. It was I heard of . My mind goes to the woman at the well Jesus spoke to . Why do we the children of God place labels on people? If we the church could let individuals know it does not matter what nationality, what walk of life they are in they hold value on God’s eyes. Whether the dirtiest looking person or the most finely dressed . Whether of any other religious upbringing it’s ok because the Word was f God the Spirit of God is for everyone . Peter had to reevaluate what God was showing him . He had to go against his will and do God’s will . I’m totally knocked down in my spirit when I hear comments made by some but Jesus came to save each of us. No matter what title if we are to be like Jesus then we must be like Jesus. Forty days of Fire is it for self or is it for others. Peter said No but God said Go.
So the next time you profile someone take another look with Gods eyes listen and hear with the ears of Jesus see what He is saying Share Jesus don’t label people don’t be afraid what anyone says just do it ….it could be an entire Cornelius family is waiting . God hears his prayers and seen his fasting yes and he was not even yet filled with the Spirit . Waiting and wanting more from God .What will I do ?

  13. Acts 10:9 & 30
    9) On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, PETER WENT UP UPON THE HOUSETOP TO PRAY about the sixth hour:

    30) And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour: and at the ninth hour I PRAYED IN MY HOUSE, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

    “I Prayed In My House”
Now, we know Peter is staying with Simon a tanner, whose house is by the seaside, yet in Simon’s house, Peter found a place to PRAY (the housetop). He found a place to go to have alone time with God and to commune with Him there. God spoke to him, showed him a vision, and gave him divine directions as to what to do.
Cornelius PRAYED in his house. He too had a place in his home to PRAY to have alone time with God and commune with Him. God sent an angel to speak to Cornelius and told him what he had to do.

It’s so important to PRAY at home. It’s important to find a place in your home away from all the distractions (people, cell phones, computers, etc…). It’s a place were you can go and have alone time with God and commune with Him. It’s a place where you can go and be in God’s presence, and God can speak to you, show you things, and give you guidance and direction for your life. And So Much More!!!!!!!

    Thank You JESUS!
May the FIRE on my altar never burn out!!
Find a place to PRAY in your home!!!

  14. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    IT CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

The New Birth is the plan of GOD for man. Like the natural birth, the Born Again experience requires water and breath. As a baby breaks forth from a water sack and then must breath a breath of air in his lungs, so must the eternal soul, break forth from a water grave and be filled with the breath of GOD.

The ideal situation is for the natural baby to be born at a hospital, but a baby can be born at home, in a car, on a plane, train or ship. We witness in this passage that GOD had ordained for Cornelius and those with him to be Born Again of Water and Spirit.

Peter was following a man sent by a man dispatched by an Angel as was following the instructions received in a VISION. Thats real SOLID most would say. But GOD had a plan for man and this is the path HE chose.

While it is the will of GOD for us to bring people to church (the house of the LORD (Prayer) it is also as important for us to understand that JESUS can work anywhere at anytime in any setting. IT CAN HAPPEN ANYWHERE.

The KEY: Speak the WORD of GOD. Let us purpose in this final week of 40 Days of FIRE that we will give ourselves to SPEAK the WORD wherever HE gives us opportunity.

    iRepent

  15. Acts 10:34-35 [ amp] And Peter opened his mouth and said: Most certainly and throughly I now perceive and understand that God shows no partiality and no respecter of persons.
[35] But in every nation he who generates and has a reverential fear for God, treating Him with worshipful obedience and living uprighthtly is acceptable to Him and sure of being received and welcome [ by Him].
Jesus is obedience, I will never forget the sacrifice that Jesus did for all of us! What are we willing to sacrifice for him today!
    Live Jesus, Give Jesus.

  16. Thank you Jesus for today , he holds all power he is worthy of all our praises

You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. This is my command: Love each other. “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.
    John 15:14‭-‬19

It’s not what you feel or what you think is right it’s all about what God thinks and does
    His word

We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient.
    2 Corinthians 10:3‭-‬6

With faith, thank you Jesus for his blood, his spirit

  17. 30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

People are reaching out to God trying to find answers. However, they will need someone to help show them the way. If the people of God can be in sync, we will be ready to respond to the call like Peter. The call is strong and not for everyone, but those who are the called. Our goal is to do the will of the Lord and God will direct us along the way.

  18. In this chapter Cornelius was loving and praying to God with all of his heart. Then suddenly an angel fake down from heaven and called his name, at first he was scared. Cornelius also has a dream. In this chapter also, Hid told Peter to go kill and eat. Peter replied that he had never eaten from an unclean animal. God is these two men of God to do his work. If God can use them he can use us! Let’s go in a step of faith today and let God use us!

  19. 1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
    There are difrint bands

  20. 10:34 then Peter open his mouth and said: of a truth
I perceive that God is no respect or of persons.

Yay!! Aren’t we glad of that?
I am blessed to be part of a multiracial church, To where nationality , ski g color or body shape ( lol 😝)does not
    Matter.
God loves everyone, and it’s His desire for everyone to hear the good news. And be saved.
Hallelujah , let’s rejoice in the Lord and be the church.
    The Jesus died for.

  21. 17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate,

  22. I totally agree that our man of God is our shepard.we should obey him and lean on him. We should not worship him. He is our vessel. He is responsible for leading us in the right direction. That old expression “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink” is totally true. Our pastor is great and greatly to be praised, he is our earthly vessel who God has entrusted to lead us into righteousness. I love pofw

  23. 22 The men replied, “We have come from Cornelius the centurion. He is a righteous and God-fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. A holy angel told him to ask you to come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say.”

    Acts 10:22 NIV

Everything we do should be for God, He honors everything we do for Him. We need to be faithful to his word and obey what He has called us to do. We all have a calling from God and we can’t ignore it, we need to let Him in and work in us so we can work in others. We are here because of Him and we all have a purpose. We need to find our purposes and do what He has asked of us.

    LIVE GIVE JESUS!

  24. 2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

Make your home a place of worship where the Lord can dwell; a house of peace, a house of prayer.

  25. “Cornelius was frightened and stared intently at him and said, “What is it, lord (sir)?” And the angel said to him, “Your prayers and gifts of charity have ascended as a memorial offering before God [an offering made in remembrance of His past blessings].”
    ‭‭ACTS‬ ‭10:4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

What a privilege to know that our prayers and gifts of love come up as a memorial offering before God. I pray that the prayers and gifts of love that my Grandmother Lupe prayed would come up as a memorial before the Lord today! And I declare this day that my whole family is saved and wholeheartedly serving the Lord alone!

  26. “He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.””(‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭10:43‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

The Name of Jesus is the only name that we are given salvation through for it is written in the word of God: (‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬) “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

  27. Act 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
Act 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

There are people that are going to astonished at who receives this precious gift of the holy ghost. While others are evaluating if it is for them, or if the cost of truth is too costly for them to pay, there will be those that are hungry. They will bring many with them, their friends, neighbors, relatives etc to hear the gospel and many will respond and receive the truth.

Don’t be caught gazing at what God is doing for others, but be a participator, assisting in bringing the atmosphere into the midst of the people that God can work in.

While Peter yet spake,,,,, the holy ghost fell. Faith must have been present, open hearts must have been present and most importantly the Spirit of God was present

  28. 13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

In obedience Peter went out and reached even more people . When we are obedient is what God tells us to do we are able to accomplish more then what we event thought possible. If its his will he’ll make a way.

  29. Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
This is my prayer for my daddy. Baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost!!! The day before my dad had another stroke, I had taken him to the Dr. After that on our way home he had mentioned to me he had been thinking about ‘going g back to church.’ My response to him was ‘let’s go daddy.’ Duri g this 40 days of fire my husband and I have been through so much. Things that are not worth giving life to. But we’ve been praying and we know that GOD has been with us. So today,,, by the grace of GOD…His grace which we all need daily will hope to see that my dad will be obedient to His word.
    HALLELUJAH!!!

  30. Acts 10:24-29
And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends. And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man. And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together. And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?

    Should’ve …. Could’ve…. Would’ve
How many times have felt God leading us to do something that we must understand and don’t following His directions? That we miss our opportunity to be blessed and be a blessing to others!

    #liveJesus #giveJesus

  31. Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

God didn’t come to save the clean nor the perfect but those who are low broken and unclean. What God causes clean is clean because his blood washed white as snow.

  32. Acts 10:4 4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

God takes notice of what we do or not do.
It says thy prayers and thine alms are come up. This leads me to believe it wasn’t just a one day thing but daily thing. A everything day thing.
When we are faithful in prayer and giving God will move and speak in our lives.

  33. 2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

As the children of God all of our houses should be a house of prayer, worship, and his word. The Lord sees and hears our prayers and our cries out to him, even though you don’t think he does, the Lord is always with you hearing you helping you. I pray that we are all faithful to the Lord in prayer and obedience, and i pray that he moves and heals in each an every one of our lifes.

  34. 1, There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, 2. A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people and prayed to God alway. 3. He saw it in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. 4. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

  35. Acts 10:44
While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them that which heard the word.

The blessings of God are for everyone that is open to receive it. I know people that are afraid of the Holy Ghost as their heart is closed to the truth. It is our job as followers to try to guide people to God and the true way. We must be baptized in Jesus name and receive the Holy Ghost. I thank God for receiving these blessings!

  36. 9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

He prayed we need to pray every day

  37. 2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

We must always keep a fear of god in our lives, not one to where we are scared of god but one to where we are scared to live life without god in it. We should seek his kingdom and study his word in prayer and always ask him to lead us each and every day.

  38. 15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

You have been blood bought and cleansed. You are not common, you are not just any thing out there but you are now adopted, children of God, royal priesthood. Many times the enemy tries to mess with your identity in God. And God wants us to know that we are his most treasured possession. We are his and have all this value.

  39. 34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

It doesn’t matter who you are ,where you come from, how much money you have, or your past history , God wants a relationship with you. Status or lack there of doesn’t give you an advantage or disadvantage. We were all created as equals and he wants a relationship with each of us just the same.

Jesus proved this in his three years of ministry here on earth when he broke bread with public officials, went out of his way to speak to the lady at the well (who was an adulterer) and allowed Judas to sit at the table even though he knew of his betrayal.

He knows all and sees all, but still longs for ud to turn from our ways of sin and follow his will for our lives.

  40. As soon as the angel was gone, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier, one of his personal attendants.
    Acts 10:7 NLT

How many times has God showed us something and because we are not ready or don’t know it’s Him we have missed out on the blessing. We can be so distracted with life that when God is telling us what to do to be blessed it passes us by. Thats what the enemy wants to do. If he can keep us distracted he know we will miss it. We must not be concerned with life and put Him first. That way when we hear His voice and see His vision we will be ready to act.

  41. 34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
    37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

God saves those who should be saved in every nation. He looks on the heart, not the outward works of the flesh. He sees us like we will be after he has washed us and cleansed us from sin – after the word has shaped and molded us. Praise God for mercy and favor, where would we be without it? I’m thankful that he brought me out of darkness into his marvelous light!

  42. 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

Their willingness to testify grow the church. Let us be willing and full of faith and the Holy Ghost. And testifying of Him.

  43. 42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

There is a peace, there is a love
    You can get lost inside
    Come to the fountain and
    Let me hear you testify.

  44. “But Peter said, “Not at all, Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common (unholy) and [ceremonially] unclean.” And the voice came to him a second time, “What God has cleansed and pronounced clean, no longer consider common (unholy).””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:14-15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Life is much easier when we follow the instructions without question. It is important as Christians that we follow the instructions of god. Obedience is better than sacrifice. When we learn to just listen to god and not question him things will work on our behalf. We have to put him first. If we do this we will have no reason to question.

  45. 34-36 Peter fairly exploded with his good news: “It’s God’s own truth, nothing could be plainer: God plays no favorites! It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from—if you want God and are ready to do as he says, the door is open. The Message he sent to the children of Israel—that through Jesus Christ everything is being put together again—well, he’s doing it everywhere, among everyone.

God is ready for us to be used for his kingdom but we must first give ourselves to him. More of him and less of us to spread his word to everyone. His word is the truth that will never change anywhere it goes. He has a plan for his kingdom and we are apart of it if we let him use us!

  46. 4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

All that Cornelius had done to develop a relationship with God has not gone unnoticed. God sees everything at all times. What we do also matters. Things we do today can effect everyone around us tomorrow. A memorial is something to remind people of a certain person or event. What he had been doing was positioning himself for the miraculous. Once he understood what the Lord was doing he had anticipation and expectation for what mighty things God would do. We need this same anticipation when the Lord is moving.

  47. “He is staying with Simon, a tanner who lives near the seashore.” As soon as the angel was gone, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier, one of his personal attendants. He told them what had happened and sent them off to Joppa.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭10:6-8‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/act.10.6-8.nlt

When God gave Cornelius the vision he immediately went to do what God commanded. When God call us we should stop everything and do what He commands us to do.

  48. New Living Translation

    Acts of the Apostles 10
[3]One afternoon about three o’clock, he had a vision in which he saw an angel of God coming toward him. “Cornelius!” the angel said.
[4]Cornelius stared at him in terror. “What is it, sir?” he asked the angel. And the angel replied, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have been received by God as an offering!
[5]Now send some men to Joppa, and summon a man named Simon Peter.
When God speaks we should listen

[36]This is the message of Good News for the people of Israel—that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.
When you go through trials know that in Jesus you can find peace. Pray and call upon his name. Jesus

  49. “In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right. This is the message of Good News for the people of Israel—that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭10:35-36‬ ‭NLT‬‬

These Scriptures means that, If every man fears God and does right in his sight, their shall be peace during your trials and tribulations.

  50. I gotta find the man of God!

    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:6‬ ‭

“He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.”

We have to trust the man of God in our lives and what he says. We have to believe that he hears from God in our behalf. If we could cross that small bridge of trust it would open us up to a whole new life on the other side. I gotta find the man of God in my life. Thanks be to God I have a man of God that has taken me from the broken, hurting, mislead sinner to a place where I am leading my family and those around me to God. There is no replacement for the man of God in your life.

  51. 2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

When you are devout you have qualities that follow! As a God fearing man you have to be prayed up and ready to follow the voice of God.

  52. Acts 10:42 KJV
[42] And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

    Acts 10:47 KJV
[47] Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

  53. “But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:35-36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Child of God we ought to go out in every nation, and preach the pace of Jesus Christ. We ought to teach every nation that Jesus is Lord overall. There’s lost, and hungry soul that need Jesus every day. We are the church Let’s share the amazing gospel of Jesus to all the people.

  54. 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

If a person can’t understand the words ” COMMANDED THEM… NAME OF THE LORD.
they’re not wanting to see truth.

  55. 4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

Cornelius heart was in the work of the Lord. So when the Gospel was presented to him, he received it, with gladness. He had the right attitude, he was willing to do, what was necessary for him to be saved. He was ready to receive the gospel when it was offered to him, and to become a Christian.

  56. 8 And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.

I know personally it’s easier to speak something and then dwell on it until it happens.

Like when you put cookies in the oven, you want to sit and watch them bake but that’s not the case with the things of The Kingdom.

We will speak life and it will happen.
We will speak healing and it will happen.

We too should declare such things and move on with the Kingdom of God as there is always plenty to do!

  57. 34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

It’s true! There will never be a convenient time to serve Jesus. He will always ask you do something for Him when (and where) you least expect it! If we truly love Jesus, we will obey Him no matter the cost.

  58. “The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

While I know this scripture is referring to food I found it fitting to apply it to people also. Sometimes we have a hard time getting past what people were or what they did before they were baptized in Jesus name and turned away from their old lifestyles. It’s easy to always go back and refer to who they were instead of thinking about where God brought themselves from and where he is taking them. Let’s remember to look at individuals as God sees them “clean” creatures in him and not the old person they were living in sin.

  59. 34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Only God can tell us what is acceptable or not. “. . . that God is no respecter of persons:” What stops you from inviting the bougie people that you think will turn you down because they must have everything already figured out? What stops you from inviting the homeless man that you think maybe aren’t worthy or would just be a bother or a leech to the church. “. . . that God is no respecter of persons:” God can choose. It’s not my place. “he that feareth him, . . . is accepted with him.”

  60. “Cornelius stared at him in terror. “What is it, sir?” he asked the angel. And the angel replied, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have been received by God as an offering!”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭10:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This is proof that God answers prayers and take count of what we do here on earth.

  61. “And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter: He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Both Simons were together. They were doing things that were like each other. They stayed together. They most likely ate and even worked together. When you do things with people, you being to act like them and them like you. The more time you spend with someone, the more you will pick up their habits. When we are walking with our friends of the world, we behave more worldly. When we are walking with our friends at the church, we become more Christ like. Be strong in the hi you are. Evaluate who your friends are. Examine your walk. If you want to see wharfs, you may need to change who you are hanging out with.

  62. 28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?

Im so glad to be a part of a church thats not prejudice in any type of way I’m glad I’m part of a multicultural church that views sin as sin and the love of God as the love of God. Jesus ministered to the hurt and broken no matter what their race was and i love the fact that we strive for the very same thing when it comes to reaching the Lost.

  63. “Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate,

And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:17, 28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God uses others to give Peter the meaning of his vision. The scripture says Peter was doubtful in himself, he didn’t know what the Lord was doing. But instead of staying at home, allowing doubt to enter into his ability to do his ministry, Peter kept faith and heeded the voice of God which led to a fulfillment of what had been prophesied in Isaiah.

We may not know the answer but He does! I thank God we can seek His council in all things. I pray we call out His name and seek His face whenever we have an issue or situation we are doubtful in

  64. “One afternoon about three o’clock, he had a vision in which he saw an angel of God coming toward him. “Cornelius!” the angel said. Cornelius stared at him in terror. “What is it, sir?” he asked the angel. And the angel replied, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have been received by God as an offering! Now send some men to Joppa, and summon a man named Simon Peter. He is staying with Simon, a tanner who lives near the seashore.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭10:3-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬
God sent an angel in a vision to Cornelius, but He used a man to preach the gospel to him.

  65. 10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

This is a wonderful thing to note, God have Peter hunger, to help understand why he needed to do what God was about to get him to do. God had put the spiritual hunger of Cornilious and his family had to know more of God.

At times God will do that, so we can know exactly how the people were gonna minister to feel.

  66. 34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

God has no exceptions of people. He wants for all to be saved! He will use those who desired to be used by Him. We are all created by Him and for Him. Let us give ourselves completely to God and we will see great things. He is Lord if all!

  67. 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

What I love about the bible is it’s repetition, things are shown over and over again, so that it is clear to us, that we may find it easier to remember. We hear multiple times that we are to be baptized in the name of the Lord. I believe that this is done so that there is no confusion, no mistaking what the Lord wants for us to understand. It strengthens his message to us, and it makes it clear what it is that he wants for us. I’m so thankful to had the honor to be baptized in his name, and to receive the Holy Ghost. What an amazing gift, we are truly blessed to be his servants, and I look forward to the day to thank him for eternity, for all that he has done for us, and in us. Hallelujah, dear Jesus, you are the most High, and the only one worth praise. Thank you my Lord and savior.
