Acts 4

And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,

16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,

37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

  1. Acts 4
“But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.”

We must continue to speak the word with boldness.
God will grant you strength like you have never known before. God kept his hand on Peter and John . He will do the same for us. God is our strength and we must stay close to God hearten to what He is saying . Peter and John’s situation did not cause them to stop preaching the Word . They continued with boldness and many were saved . Satan tried to shut the mouth of God’s people through trials of life
    BUT NOTHING STOPPED THEM!!!!!

  2. 18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Jesus had given them a charge to spread the gospel, to be witnesses of all that had been done. Their loyalty was far more important then the Jews and what they thought. Us as followers of Christ and believers of the word should never keep quiet about the miracles signs and wonders that we have witnessed and our loyalty to Jesus Christ should never be shushed out by ridicule. There is far greater judge in heaven then there is any judge on earth. Be bold and speak truth.

  3. Thank you Jesus for today , let us continue sincerely with our walk with God . He gives Power and wisdom

A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity. Wisdom is in the sight of him who has understanding, But the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.
    Proverbs 17:17‭, ‬24

  4. Verses 18-20 MSG “They called them back and warned them that they were on no account ever again to speak or teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John spoke right back, “Whether it’s right in God’s eyes to listen to you rather than to God, you decide. As for us, there’s no question—we can’t keep quiet about what we’ve seen and heard.” What a sense of loyalty Peter and John had to their ministry and to the Lord. They knew that no matter what, they needed to do the work of the Lord that they had been called to do. They were not about to let anything or anyone come between them and fulfilling their call.

Proverbs 19:21 AMP “Many plans are in a man’s mind, But it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand (be carried out).” So let us LIVE-GIVE JESUS with loyalty!

  5. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

This is why I love the word of God! It has such truth in every syllable! As human beings we like the create our own beliefs, and some have started to believe in every thing that is false, but that is because they have gotten away from the word of God. When we stick with the word of God we shall see and hear the truth everyday!

  6. Acts 4 :30 -31 [ amp] While You stretch out your hand to cure and to perform signs and wonders through the authority and by the power of the name of Your holy Child and Servant Jesus.
[31] And they had prayed the place in which they were assembled was shaken; and they were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they continued to speak the Word of God with freedom and boldness and courage.
Thank God for the Holy Ghost that guide us and convicts us! We have freedom in the name of Jesus
to walk and talk with boldness.
    Speak in Loyalty!
    We serve a mighty God!

  7. 7. And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

    8. Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    10. Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

    12. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Being familiar with the way kingdoms operate, these men understood that things were done by the power that the king’s name carried…this time is was done by the power of name of King Jesus!

    The name of Jesus
    Higher than other names
    King of all Kings
    No other name like His
    The name of Jesus
    Higher than other names
    Alpha and Omega
    No other name like His

  8. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

There’s something happen within the body of Christ whenever it gets stirred up, something that shakes the very core of the church whenever there’s unity. There’s never been anything I’ve learned in my walk with God is that unity his strength and an attack is meant to divide. In learning that, the church can become a very powerful and dangerous Force for the good of Christ. If we can understand, truly, that every attack against the church is meant to divide and we can respond abd unite even more, then the church would continue to become stronger.

  9. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

    9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

The name of Jesus is so powerful and gives you authority and dominion over the enemy. We find ourselves in battle with the Nay-sayers and non-believers. We will have to overcome doubt and fear when it comes to the kingdom of God. When we speak the name of Jesus, we have the ability to cast out demons and to speak miracles. We have so much to look forward to when our faith is bold enough.

We have to preach the name of Jesus above anything else. When we are confident that nothing else will do and live in the spirit of God, we can be enough for those that are lost and not heard the gospel. We have to be a church that is the example of who and what Jesus is so that we can give Jesus to everyone we meet. We need to focus on the kingdom of God, so when the spirit is poured out we are ready to reap the harvest.

    Live Jesus to Give Jesus.

  10. 19 But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him? 20 We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.”

Many would like to silence Christians from speaking about Jesus. The unrighteous want you to rely on man instead of God. That man has all the answers and provide all your needs. But as Christians, we rely on God to meet our needs, our healings, and our blessings, for God gives us all. Stay obedient to God, and he will never fail you.

  11. 5 And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,

6 And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

  12. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

This should be our daily prayer!!! Grant us BOLDNESS so we may speak your word to every person we encounter. Every time I encounter someone I try to greet them and I pray please Lord let them say one word so the door can be open, some times is I am tired, or not so good, or just a reply like “morning” without the good. That leaves an opening for me to ask why? And hopefully offer a comforting word from God and an invitation. YES LORD PLEASE GRANT YOUR CHURCH BOLDNESS SO WE MAY REACH AND GIVE JESUS TO ALL PEOPLE WE ENCOUNTER!!!! In Jesus Name Amen 🙏🏻

  13. I love the word. Speaking of God and his miracles, signs and wonders is telling God how great he is and how much he should be praised. He is worth of all our praise. God will keep us safe when we are speaking truth and spreading his gospel.

    • 18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Once you see the miracles of God and have the Holy Spirit in you how can you not want to tell everyone.

    iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
Solomon was one of the wisest people who ever graced the face of the earth. In the many proverbs written by him, he uses earthly things to share the Wisdom of God. For example, he uses the wisdom of the ant who is busy with the harvest of summer so that in winter, the whole colony is taken care of and none of the other ants have to freeze their ant buns off to go out and find food.

Rom 1:20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

I mention this because todays character trait is “Loyalty”. God created plants and animals through wisdom and if we would take time to slow down in life to study them (like Solomon did), then we would find certain character traits that would reveal powerful lessons in His Kingdom.

Today (like many Proverbs do) we are going to tie a natural God given trait of an animal to a heavenly principle. (The following statement is an excerpt from brother Google). [Loyalty is a natural behavior for dogs. Dogs are pack animals, meaning they are social creatures who prefer the company of other animals. This behavior is a survival mechanism too. … Many dog trainers and other animal experts believe this pack mentality also causes dogs to be loyal to their humans.] God gave the character trait of loyalty to dogs and we could learn a lot from these animals.

But you might say, “Brother Morgan…what does Loyalty and dogs have anything to do with todays blog?” So glad you asked. Think about it…you can get mad at your dog and hit his cushion with a newspaper when you get upset with him, but no matter what mood you’re in the dog will always be loyal to you and will always love you because this is the wisdom of God bestowed to this animal. This is why dog is referred to as “mans best friend”. This is why so many people have grown to love them and have fierce feelings of respect towards them.

To make the point of why I mention this during todays blog is simple. These Apostles and Disciples were threatened (and even later were beaten and then killed) but faithfully and loyally held on to the Master. The loyal dog will die for it’s owner. In fact, there is a breed of dog called an Airedale who will fight Grizzly bears to the death. We too must remain loyal to the Master even until the death.

  15. 4:21 so when they had further threatened them
They let them go, finding nothing how they
Might punish them, because of the people:
For all men glorified God for that which was done.

    All glory to God🙌.
God was on their side, just as God is on our side now.
If we love God, we obey His commandments.
Yes, I have failed Him. Many times. But one thing I am sure
    He is good.
And He has forgiven me every time ….
    He is on our side
He will stand for me and you protect us as we are being led by His Spirit walking in righteousness and proclaiming His name.
Noticed this: yes they let them go, but the threat was still going on. Why? Because people( opposition) will never be ok
With the people of God being found clean and guilty less )

  16. Acts 4:4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thoussnd.

Pray all that hear the Word choose to Believe, keep spreading the Word.

  17. “So they ordered Peter and John out of the council chamber and conferred among themselves. “What should we do with these men?” they asked each other. “We can’t deny that they have performed a miraculous sign, and everybody in Jerusalem knows about it. But to keep them from spreading their propaganda any further, we must warn them not to speak to anyone in Jesus’ name again.” So they called the apostles back in and commanded them never again to speak or teach in the name of Jesus.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:15-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The corruption of their hearts was plain. They acknowledged that a miracle had genuinely happened; yet they refused to submit to the God who worked the miracle.

  18. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Hallelujah!!! No other name. Just His name! It was only in that name that has removed all chaos from my life, chains broken so that I may be set free and no longer live in bondage to my self will!!! Jesus today and forever your name will be exalted on high❤️

  19. 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

You don’t need to be a Bible scholar to know the Word, you simply have to love the Word, study the Word, apply the Word, and live through the Word. Knowing the Word will be all you need and someday may be all you have – Thy Word have I hid in mine heart!

  20. Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

  21. So in Acts Chapter 4 we are talking about loyalty and in verses 10-13 it’s talking about how the People of Israel were raised from the dead and was crucified by Jesus Christ of Nazareth then the stone was set for the builders then no other salvation was given among men then Peter saw the boldness and the men were marvelled and ignorant and they did not learn anything and then had been with Jesus

  22. Acts 4:14-24
“And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it. But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. Pow-Pow …. people are always trying to find fault with the church BUT when God shows out with signs, wonders and miracles, not one single person can dispute God’s power!!! That’s why we should share the Gospel and not only share our testimony but live it too!

    #liveJesus #giveJesus

  23. The other day, someone told me to pray the Word and I love versus 29-34 so I pray them over POFW today.

I thank You Jesus that You would give us the words to say. I thank You that just like Peter and John, we can be bold and proclaim Your name wherever we go, knowing that we have been with the only One who can save. I thank You that we are free to rejoice in You.

Jesus I ask that in the face of adversity, You would embolden us to speak Your Word to others. I pray that You stretch Your hands for there to be healings, signs, and wonders that would continue to draw the lost and backslidden near to You.

I pray that You shake POFW Lord, fill each member, each leader with your Spirit and allow us to speak with other tongues today. Allow us to be united, with one heart and one soul, and let none of us go without. I speak charity and increase over your people. That we boast in You and not ourselves and that we speak Your Word with boldness. Allow Your power and Your grace to cover us like rain.

    Amen!

  24. Acts 4:8 & 31
    8) Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them,…
    31) And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

I believe it takes PRAYER and being filled with the HOLY GHOST to give us the BOLDNESS we need to speak the word of God.
So, PRAY everyday and be filled with the HOLY GHOST everyday, so that we can LIVE JESUS and GIVE JESUS everyday with BOLDNESS.

  25. Act 4:22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

The evidence of this God that the Sadducees had heard about and wanted to stop was standing right in front of them, healed. How could they refute that?

This is why it is so important to talk about the good things that God is doing. People need to see the evidence and hear all about it. How can you refute something when you can see it with your own eyes. News travels fast and when there is evidence for the natural eye to see, it makes those who would doubt have no excuse but to believe.

One challenge we all face is that we don’t share what Jesus is doing because we are either fearful, or have no boldness. We must pray for boldness like these apostles had. They turned the world upside down, on foot, no modern conveniences. We have much greater opportunities and abilities to GIVE JESUS and we must put on the boldness, step out and just do it.

The world is waiting for someone to LIVE JESUS and GIVE JESUS to them. If it is not me, God will raise up someone else.

  26. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Despite the threatening by the Jews, their own nation, the disciples were loyal to the Lord’s commission to go teach all nations repentance and baptism in Jesus name. We can read how God poured out the Holy Ghost on these nations, beginning in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost. That day is swiftly approaching, so invite someone and let’s experience a great outpouring of the Holy Ghost as we continue in the apostles doctrine.

  27. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

We can read how God poured out the Holy Ghost on these nations, beginning in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost. 28. 34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

I know that in the carnal mind when we do not see with our spiritual eyes and we give of ourselves to the kingdom of God a concern is worry about if we’ll be taken care of. Well I can certainly say the more I have given to the Kingdom of my time talent and treasure the more I receive. It’s in His Word and He delivers! It’s almost paradoxical cuz when I spend more time in prayer or give more in offering I have more time during the day and my family has NEVER gone without because I gave. I actually was challenged my the Lord years ago because I wanted to be broken from a poverty mentality. He challenged me to get off food stamps(when I was a single mother). So I did, and my finances have never suffered the way they use to and we have never gone without food! I love the Word and promises of God!❤️

  29. “But Peter and John replied to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you and obey you rather than God, you must judge [for yourselves]; for we, on our part, cannot stop telling [people] about what we have seen and heard.””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:19-20‬ ‭AMP‬‬

When adversity comes continue to do the work of the lord. We must not stop speaking the word of god and witnessing to others. We may get judged or talked about but we must never stop. In order for a tree to grow a seed must be planted and that seed must be watered. We must always remember to plant the seed and continue to water that seed so that it may grow. Don’t loose hope continue to plant the seed and witness.

  30. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Thank you Jesus for the revelation of one God and one baptism and Salvation. Jesus is the one that gives us knowledge.

  31. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

The Sadducees are ‘sad-you-see’ because they don’t believe in resurrection power. It all stems from their unstable foundation. Their people have rejected the very cornerstone “for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved’ (vs 12). Their is power in the name of Jesus. If they don’t have Jesus then they won’t have resurrection or Holy Ghost power. They could have chose to have embraced the mercy of Jesus but instead they demanded them not to speak of the matter. This is an impossible request. Everyone needs Jesus and the blood he shed at Calvary.

  32. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

    Prayer is powerful

  33. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    I CHOOSE JESUS

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

As we heard peached on Wednesday Night @ The POFW we are all faced daily with choices, but more importantly we are faced often with Spiritual choices that will identify us either with JESUS or the world. It is my belief that the current/recent pandemic situation was a test run of the New World Order that the antichrist will establish in the near future. While the narrative was valid. We witnessed an entire world surrender rights and privileges in the name of “safety”. More alarming to me is how many Christian believers threw in the towel on their FAITH in JESUS as Lord in the midst of this process. I will go on record today and say that, this experience will be the pattern for the “Mark of the Beast”

Revelation 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Revelation 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

We witness the similarities in Acts 4, 2020 pandemic and Revelation 13. We will all be forced to make a choice in regard to our “Health and Safety” when the RFID chip or mark is initiated as the means of our currency. Cash will be trash.

We should invest our free time building our FAITH in GOD to do HIS work and HIS will.

  34. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

There is no other names that miracles and healings can be done through and there’s no other name that can save us from an eternity in hell like Jesus. No other name can wash our sins away like the name of Jesus, we must always be a loyal and humble servant to him and his kingdom and it’s our mission to go out and reach the lost.

  35. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Power In the Name of Jesus
Salvation In the Name of Jesus
Healing In the Name of Jesus
    Everything I need

Protection In the Name of Jesus
Deliverance In the Name of Jesus
Freedom In the Name of Jesus
Everything I need is in that Name!”

  36. 19 But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, 20 for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.”

No matter what anyone might say, we each have our own testimonies that can’t change our mind in knowing that there is a God!!! Knowing that there is a God that can move mountains, that can save me from any situation, that can be in me, that can wash away my sins, that for him nothing is impossible!!!! We can all share what God has done in our lives. We can stay quiet… there is an entire world that we can testify to daily!!! Let’s spread and share his gospel. ♥️

  37. Acts 4
Peter and John were teaching the people, proclaiming in Jesus the resurection of the dead. The priests and Sadducees heard them speaking and had them thrown in jail. The next day they were brought to the elders and high priest. Peter told them because of kindness showed to a lame man that was healed they were thrown in jail. Also, he was healed in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom they crucified by whom God had raised from the dead. They realized that Peter and John were unschooled and ordinary men with much courage. They were told not to teach in the name of Jesus, but they responded that they cannot help but to speak about what they have seen and heard.

No matter what the outcome was, Peter and John heldfast to their beliefs. As Christians this is a great lesson. Never compromise your beliefs in our Lord Jesus.

  38. “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].””
    ‭‭ACTS‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭AMP‬‬

There is no other name. No alternative or substitute for salvation. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords First and the Last. He laid down down the foundation of salvation he is the great cornerstone.

““For the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts says this, ‘I am the First and I am the Last; And there is no God besides Me.”
    ‭‭ISAIAH‬ ‭44:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

  39. 33. And with great power gave the apostles’ witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. 34. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them , and brought the price of the things that were sold, 35. And laid them, down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. 36. And Jose’s, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, which is, being interpreted, (The Son of consolation). A Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, 37. Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

  40. 29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

When things got pressing for them they pressed even stronger in prayer and asked from God boldness. That God’s signs, miracles and wonders would be granted confirming the work of God. The should be our example to follow. This was a prayer not to remove the opposition bit to make them stronger and mightier than the opposition for against the works of God they could not do anything.

  41. However 🌻

Acts 4:4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

  42. The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.
    Acts 4:13 NLT

It amazes me how many people think that they have to be a scholar of the bible or have college degrees to be able to speak about Jesus. The fact of the matter is that when you know Jesus and He dwells in your heart, whatever you speak come from your heart and the Holy Ghost makes us look smart and educated even though we are ordinary people.

  43. 14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

It’s hard to deny something when you’ve seen it first hand. God truly is a healer. Healing is able to take place when their is an opportunity to believe the miraculous can happen. Many will come and still try to deny the power of God. Even if some deny, the power of God is still real. When we reach beyond what we are able to do and allow God to do the work, we can do great things. We are only limited to the level of faith we have. God wants to take us further then we ever thought was possible. The time is now to let go and let God.

  44. v 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

God worked and moved through Gis disciples, and He is still doing the same today.

  45. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

They spoke in the name of Jesus that is by what name they did it in.

What name are we using in prayer, baptism, laying on of hands?
It should be Jesus He is the one and only King. The King Of Kings.
When we tell people about God we should make sure to lead them to Jesus and not just a good story book. For Jesus is the only way we can get the heaven.

  46. Act 4:31  And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
    They Had Everything in Common
Act 4:32  And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

When you speak Jesus speak it with boldness and I promise you’ll see mountains moved you’ll see miracles signs and wonders. Gods not dead and He sure ain’t done performing the impossible. Get in unity with your Pastor and your church and watch walls come down in the mighty name of Jesus!

  47. “Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:30-31‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/act.4.30-31.nlt

When we are standing boldly in the name of Jesus we say we choose to believe in the Lord it shows how God changed us and show that we believe the the Lord is real.

  48. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Not that long ago I remember pastor talking about this verse and said its a privilege to be saved. It really is a privilege and thank Jesus everyday for saving me and being by my side protecting me every step of the way. Thank you Jesus. I am nothing without you.

  49. 28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

    Amen

  50. “They brought in the two disciples and demanded, “By what power, or in whose name, have you done this?””(Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

The Sadducees understand authority if nothing else. They just rejected Jesus and had him crucified. To tell them that the resurrected King of Kings gave them this authority they may think their crazy. They don’t believe in resurrection power either. That’s just what we are ..crazy for Jesus. Just because people reject the truth doesn’t mean we will stop telling the whole world about Jesus.

  51. “And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

All that believe were together and had all things in common. Sold all their possessions and goods. Parted them, as every man needed. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

  52. “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This Scripture means that, Their is no Salvation in anything else. But in The Name Of Jesus we are Saved and filled With The Holy Spirit and Repenting.

  53. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

The Lord is our one and only. He is our defender, our provider, our protector, and our savior. When John and Peter spoke of the Lord and his word they weren’t reading anything, they spoke from what they read and studied and what they have witnessed of the Lord and all his miracles. When spreading the word of God it can do so many beautiful things to those who are lost and want to believe and listen. When your talking to someone about the Lord it’s important to speak from your heart and every amazing thing the Lord used you to do and what he has done for you, and how he saved you. I pray that the Lord uses all of us his children, and I pray he leads us and guides us no matter what.

  54. 31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Prayer + one accord + Holy Ghost + word of God = great Power from God.
The place can be shaken when we are gather in unity. Boldness and courage arises within us to speak the word of God.

  55. 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

    Acts 4:12 NIV
    https://acts.bible/acts-4-12

Salvation in not found in no one, salvation is only found in God. He is the one and only who can save us no man or idol can save us. We cannot find salvation in no one but God! He is the one and only who can save us!

    LIVE GIVE JESUS!

  56. 1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,

2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

Not everyone is ready to accept the truth, but we cannot stop spreading the good news of God’s Kingdom.

  57. “About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. Peter asked her, “Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?” “Yes,” she said, “that is the price.””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭5:7-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This may seem a bit of a leap but I felt it quite applicable…

Ananias and his wife both felt it necessary to lie rather than one of them say “hey, here’s a thought, let’s be honest!” Find yourself a spouse that can be tender enough to care for you but also strong enough to help keep you straight and narrow. What good are you to each other if you don’t hold each other accountable? Marriage is more than finding a spouse so you aren’t lonely, or for a lifetime ride or die, it’s about finding somebody that will compliment you and pull you up when you start to fall down. Ananias should have had his wife’s bed interest in mind when he decided to lie, but the same thing goes for his wife. Yes, he’s the head but together they’re decisions should have built each other up not being the other to their death.

  58. ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:31-37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.”

In the story I don’t see were anyone told these guys to do any of these things like sell their land or share everything. It all just came out of a prayer meeting. I assume these were just as we are today living normal lives and going on about their business until this prayer meeting. Until this prayer meeting I would assume that none of them thought about selling their land or making all their possessions accessible to everyone. I assume it would have sounded strange to them all if someone would have told them what was about to happen. BUT. Something shifted in that prayer meeting, something moved and shook their comfort something changed their normal. This act of obedience no doubt to the voice of God in that prayer meeting Activated the unity that it was going to take to have the greatest reviva as I’ll a a beyond bad ever seen. We have to learn to stay sensitive to the hilt ghost in prayer enough to even consider doing the strange things or weird stuff, you never know what might spark the greatest revival we have ever seen.

  59. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

It amazes me that with a scripture like this and some people will still argue with you that there is another way to Heaven or to be saved. Even after showing and proving with this scripture. NONE other NAME under Heaven given amount men, whereby WE MUST BE SAVED!!!!!

  60. 9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

It’s God who can make us whole, even when we feel overwhelmed, the world will never be there to comfort us like He will, He’s our healer.

  61. 19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

The boldness of Peter to challenge the church elders, is a lesson to all believers. We must listen to, and follow what God says to do, for the things that man tells us is the way to death. For man may be able to kill, but God gives eternal life. We must do what is right in the eyes of the Lord, for we will have to answer to him one day, and you shall not be excused if you try to say that I listened to man, for we are commanded to listen to God Almighty. Jesus stated, that he is the only way to Heaven, narrow is the way to Heaven, but wide is the road to destruction. Man is just man, but God is Almighty, the Alpha, the Omega, the one and only. It is wise to follow the ways of the creator of all of the Universe, and earth. Hallelujahs to Jesus, our Lord and savior, for only through him, may we have everlasting life. Amen.

  62. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

I can imagine them saying that part of scripture. It is the word of God in our hearts that makes us wise, and it is the Spirit of God in us that lets us live our lives in a manner that will preach to the world.

It was having an encounter with Jesus that made it perceivable to the world that they were not them selves but new creatures.

  63. 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

The scripture say they were “unlearned” Yet God chose you use them and the people had no choice but to listen and those that set out against them had no choice but to comply . We know Peter was learned and because of his family line the people listened and those that set out for him had no choice but to comply. Knowledge is not always a factor because God has all power and knowledge. I would hate for us as a people to not teach and preach Jesus because we feel intimidated that we do not know enough. Because the one that knows all and sees all is on our side.

God wants to use the willing and not sometimes they many not have the credentials mans thinks they need

  64. 7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

There will always be opposition to you preaching in the Name of Jesus, but this message we preach of salvation is for everyone who understands it. We can’t let the enemy intimidate us. We must continue to preach Jesus. That He saves , heals, restores and resurrect.

  65. “And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaken [a sign of God’s presence]; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness and courage.”
    Acts 4:31 AMP

    There is something about Prayer!
    Prayer CHANGES things!
When you don’t know what else to do, pray.

  66. 13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
20 As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

God will use any willing vessel for his kingdom. Don’t be ashamed of what God has done because some people won’t believe it. God will show himself to where there is no doubt but prove he is God. It doesn’t matter what you look like or where you came from, if you allow God to work in your life and use you he will. Let us daily follow after God that when others see us they see we have spent time with God in prayer and reading his word. Don’t stop speaking his word till the whole world knows!

  67. “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of our people, are we being questioned today because we’ve done a good deed for a crippled man? Do you want to know how he was healed? Let me clearly state to all of you and to all the people of Israel that he was healed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, the man you crucified but whom God raised from the dead. For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’ There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭4:8-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The filling of the Holy Ghost Peter experienced in Acts 2:4 along with other disciples was not a one-time event. It was something God wanted to continue doing in their lives. And is the same He wants to do in our lives today.

  68. Oh the people

“The religious leaders renewed their threats, but then released them. They couldn’t come up with a charge that would stick, that would keep them in jail. The people wouldn’t have stood for it—they were all praising God over what had happened. The man who had been miraculously healed was over forty years old.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:21-22‬ ‭MSG‬‬

“The people” have a great influence. Here in the Bible they kept them out of jail. Today people have great influence too. The thing we have to remember is that as Christians we have the greatest ability to influence things in the kingdom of God as well as the things around us. When we pray, God can move the impossible. Don’t think that because you are one person that you don’t have great influence because you when we pray we are speaking to the creator. Nothing is impossible for God.
