Acts 3

Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

  1. Thank you Jesus for today , thy kingdom come thy will be done , it’s about a relationship with Jesus Christ … Persevering Faith

    Since the day we heard these things about you, we have continued praying for you. This is what we pray: that God will make you completely sure of what he wants by giving you all the wisdom and spiritual understanding you need; that this will help you live in a way that brings honor to the Lord and pleases him in every way; that your life will produce good works of every kind and that you will grow in your knowledge of God ;
    Colossians 1:9‭-‬10

For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.
    Colossians 1:13‭-‬14

Put your Soul , mind , heart and strength in God’s hands

Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful. As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I don’t even trust my own judgment on this point. My conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove I’m right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide. So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time—before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.

  2. As I read this chapter, I thought about who set this man every day, like clock work by the Temple gate? Who faithfully/dependably carried this man up?? This crippled man depended on them every day. Who do you depend on?? I also thought about what made this man’s feet and ankles become firm? The answer is in verse 16 CEV says “You see this man, and you know him. He put his faith in the name of Jesus and was made strong. Faith in Jesus made this man completely well while everyone was watching.” This man put his faith and literally stood strong by the dependable Word of the Lord, through his disciples. So let us not only be watchers; but, be participators (be dependable) as we LIVE-GIVE JESUS.

  3. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
The Character trait for today is “Dependable”. The Word in the dictionary means trustworthy and reliable. I think verse #1 speaks volumes about being dependable.

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

First of all they went together into the house of God. This shows their loyalty to God and also to the church. Verse #2 describes the people who placed this man “daily” at the gate were dependable as well. In fact, this whole chapter is filled with dependability for the fact that God is the ultimate One who is dependable. Through the name of Jesus this man was heal. Wow! Boom

  4. I don’t have any money but I have JESUS that man expected money but he got something way better . A healing . When you come to JESUS you expect one thing and he’ll give you better

  5. You killed the author of light

15 You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. 16 By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.17 “Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders. 18 But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Messiah would suffer. 19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

Not only did they kill the author of life but they also killed the author of light. For Jesus is “the way, truth, and the life” He is also the “light of the world”

Light brings truth and the moment we get so wrapped up in our own agenda and kill the light that the word of God brings to our lives we are stoping ourselves from growth and truth. The word of God will show us the hidden things inside of us and it will also bring light to those around us. We can not afford to allow that light to go out or be stopped. Let us pray and ask God to make us more aware of His word and apply it to our lives. Because we cannot afford to kill the author of life and light.

  6. 22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

As long as there are a people to hear God has raised up a Messenger among them to speak or act on his behalf. Since the days of Noah, there has always been a messenger oh, that God has sent to speak to the people. As times continue to evolve and change, God’s principle of having Messengers hasn’t. Even the message hasn’t changed its foundation that we need Him. With all the times we see in the Bible that God sent out a message among the people come out we don’t see God holding the messenger accountable for how the people respond, that is because the messenger, whomever it is is responsible for its Deliverance not it’s reaction. God has sent us out into the world with a message of Hope any message to encourage others to seek God in these perilous times, but it is not up to us to decide who gets to hear it and who doesn’t, nor is it up to us how and who responds to it. Let’s preach the gospel among men and let them respond according to their heart.

  7. Acts 3:6-7 [ amp] But Peter said , Silver and gold
( money)I do not have ; but what I do have, that I give to you; in ( the use of) the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!
Then he took hold of the man’s right hand with a firm grip and rasied him up. And at once his feet and ankle bones became strong and steady.
Through the name of Jesus Christ the man was heal. This the only way you can be heal from anything! I will believe the report of the Lord.

  8. 14. But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

    15. And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

If they had only realized He was the Prince of Life, would they have still crucified Him?
I pray we realize that He is the Prince of Life, and let Him be the Prince of all our lives.

  9. Acts 3

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

    2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

  10. So in Acts Chapter 3 we are talking about Dependable and in verses 1-6 we are talking about how Peter went to the Temple to Pray and at the Ninth Hour a man was carried from his mothers wound and they asked at the gate of the temple to ask who entered the temple and then seeing Peter go into the temple then Peter closing his eyes upon John then Peter has not given to the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth

  11. 25 You are the children of those prophets, and you are included in the covenant God promised to your ancestors. For God said to Abraham, ‘Through your descendants all the families on earth will be blessed.’ 26 When God raised up his servant, Jesus, he sent him first to you people of Israel, to bless you by turning each of you back from your sinful ways.”

We all are descendants from the beginning that God created us. Your blessings starts with you, and for generations to come, your lineage will continue to be blessed. Be the example for your children and the will to serve God will continue.

  12. 7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

When we have an encounter with Jesus and he changes us, others should and all too often do notice a change in us. We have to let them see the Jesus in us. He tells us that if He is lifted up, He WILL draw ALL men unto Him. We don’t have to do anything other than praise Jesus, and give Him all credit and Glory.

  13. I love the word. What a glorious day it was, the lame man got up and walked, what a victory, now he can make his own living and can be a living example of what God can do!

  14. So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God—seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day];

🎶 Are you hurting and broken with-in overwelmed by the weight of your sin, Jesus is calling. Oh come to the alter, the fathers arms are open wide. Forgiveness was bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Oh what a savior, isn’t he wonderful, sing hallelujah, Christ has risen.🎶

The calming, the lightness, the peace, as you rise out of the water. There is no greater feeling then the one you get when you are baptized and have received the Holy Ghost.

  15. 8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

What a grateful attitude he has!!!! He did not care about if the priest was in the middle of reading or if the people will make fun of him, all he cared about was that in that moment he can enter in the Temple and Praise God!! He was healed instantly, there was no process, there was no hesitation from him, for he leap and stood in a second his whole life change, and in that second all he could do was Praise God!!! Peter couldn’t pass up the opportunity to testify and tell all about the Love of Jesus, the One they crucified, the only One that can forgive their sins and heal them!!! The Boldness of the Holy Spirit took over and Peter testified with his all heart. Thank you Jesus for being the Only Way to the Truth! Thank you Jesus for allowing us to be drafted into your inheritance of eternal life! Thank you Jesus for healing our bodies and our minds! May we all testify about your goodness and mercies that are ever lasting in Jesus Name Amen 🙏🏻

  16. Act 3:5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

The man came expecting to receive something. Today in prayer I prayed that we would not be cisterns filled with stagnant waters, but we have fresh living water flowing through each us so that we have something to give. The world is expecting the church to give them something, let’s not disappoint them. LIVE JESUS – GIVE JESUS

  17. Acts 3
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

In His Presence there is Fullness of Joy.

If you take a look the only way the refreshing can come is first to repent. Conversion is a time of turning away from the old life of sin. Repentance is something we can and should do daily . The times of refreshing will come as we surrender ourself completely to Jesus Christ . In His presence , taking time to renew and refresh , communicating through prayer and word , listening and being refreshed in the Holy Ghost . Times of refreshing in the presence of God.

  18. 16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

    Faith in His Name…….
That just floors me…after 7 years of hearing this. That’s how powerful my God is. All you have to do is SPEAK THIS NAME and people are healed, devil’s tremble, angels are summoned! I pray we begin to truly understand the sheer magnitude of what happens supernaturally when we speak this Name.
It is the Name Above All Other names.
    The Name of Jesus!!

  19. So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God—seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day];”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:19‬ ‭AMP‬‬

God is an all forgiving god. His love never fails. No matter how hard we may fail we can ask for forgiveness and he will forgive us. As Christians we must be the light to those who may feel there is no hope for them. We must let them know that regardless of how hard they have messed up god still loves them and will forgive them.

  20. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    IN THE TEMPLE

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

While I am thankful for the resource of public production of church services. It is like looking at the ocean through a telescope. You can only see what is in view and can feel even less, because the atmosphere and surroundings are different.

We learn from JESUS in Luke 11 that unclean spirits invade territories. This is why it is important to GO to Church in person. The SPIRIT of JESUS is in the Church in a dimension that is not in our home.

Until my home has had the amount of prayer, the amount of preaching of the Word of GOD, the amount and level of Praise and Worship unto the LORD. There is a greater level of power and authority in the temple or Church building.

If the home church experience was sufficient, why were Peter and John going to the temple to pray?

The fact is that home church was not a new way to be saved or to worship GOD, it was a means to connect to the Body of Christ in the midst of extreme measures. However since returning to Church with attendees over the past 4 Sundays, the in service attendance has been at the most 75% but the online attendance has only been about 15-20%. Meaning some people are lost and need to find their way home.

Here is a link to online church statistics:

    https://www.christianpost.com/news/nearly-half-of-churchgoers-say-they-havent-watched-any-online-service-in-past-4-weeks-237048/?fbclid=IwAR1mo9RVqtLGkaAruAOD_keQPl0wM25VZVeJJW3vIyaquIumlTcM6lFM3Hg

50% of the church is missing. Sounds like 10 virgins 5 wise and 5 foolish or two at the mill, one taken and one left. Bottom line being this, it is time to come to the Temple to Pray.

Temple – 2411. hieron, hee-er-on´; a sacred place, i.e. the entire precincts (whereas 3485 denotes the central sanctuary itself) of the Temple (at Jerusalem or elsewhere): — temple.

A sacred PLACE, where Prayer is the Primary thing, where JESUS is King and Holiness is Preached.

YES. GOD is everywhere, but since Moses there has been a PLACE for people to gather to worship.

Lets GO to Church Friday Night and Sunday in JESUS Name.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray

  21. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

  22. Acts 3:19 (AMP)
“So repent (change your inner self – your old way of thinking, regret past sins) and return (to God – seek His purpose for your life), so that your sins may be wiped away (blotted out, completely erased), so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord (restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day);”

I see the Plan of Salvation in this scripture.
When we Repent, it is turning around and returning to God.
The only way we can have our sins wiped away, blotted out, and completely erased is by being Baptized in JESUS name.
The refreshing is being filled with the Holy Ghost.

“… Repent, be baptized every one of you in the name of JESUS Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:38

  23. “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/114/act.3.16.nkjv

Things change when you have faith and call on the name of Jesus!

  24. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

The one thing that God has shown me during this year is very simple. What I have is because he has blessed me. I find the more I do and give to the kingdom of God, the more I am blessed. I find that I may not have a lot of time and money or any materialistic item, but what I do have I give unto the Lord. I find the more I pray and the more I fast, I continue to get more from God.

Just like the man at the gate of the temple, every day he was expecting something from those going to the temple. But little did he know he was going to get something that would forever change his life. We have to come into the presence of God expecting something that is going to change our lives. Peter and John didn’t have anything carnal to give him, but they gave him something more precious than silver and gold. He was given something spiritually that changed him for ever. If we live Jesus first and then when we reach out to those seeking for something, we will be able to give them Jesus and it will change their lives for ever.

  25. Acts 3:26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning way every one of you from his iniquities.

Romans 1:16 For Iam not ashamed of the gospel of Christ what is the power of God and to salvation to everyone do you first, and

  26. Acts 3:11-16
“And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

What stands out to me in this chapter is this…. this lame man was carried everyday and placed at the gate … how many people walked by him everyday without even interacting with him? How many took the time to inquire of him as to what he needed? Yes, this man needed a healing in his body and he needed funds so that he could have a roof over his head and food on his table. But Peter has nothing of earthly value to give this man, but gave him something that money can’t buy…. healing and the key to eternal life. We must share Jesus everywhere we go and give witness to all that will hear!

    #liveJesus #giveJesus

  27. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

His miracle came because 1) he expected to receive and 2) because the disciples had the power of the Holy Ghost working in them. They lived Jesus and gave Jesus. This gave them the opportunity to witness to those at the temple that morning. These men were dependable to give what they had every chance they got. We must do the same-it’s harvest time!

  28. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

We must do the same!

  29. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬ NLT)

We are just like Peter. We have the Bread of Life to feed those around us. We must seize every opportunity that we have to feed them the Truth. If we love Him we will feed His sheep.

    I love the Truth!

After breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these? ” “Yes, Lord,” Peter replied, “you know I love you.” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus told him. Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.” “Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said. A third time he asked him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Then feed my sheep. (‭John‬ ‭21‬:‭15-17‬ NLT)

  30. 14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Do you think the outcome would still be the same if they knew who He really was? Would they still have hung Him on the cross?

Well what about us? We know who He is right? But when we choose to live in sin we nail Him to that cross all over again.

We are the reason after all, Jesus chose to answer that call. The call to die for us so we can live for Him.

So we can not afford to live without the Prince of Life. If we try, we sentence ourselves to a life of worry and strife.

Do not waste the opportunity you have be given. Go and live life of one who has be forgiven.

  31. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

We shouldn’t always be focused on the things of this world but we should always be focused on the miraculous and supernatural things of god and his kingdom, no matter how hard we may struggle if we just put our focus on god he will lead us through everything and there will be nothing we can’t handle with him.

  32. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

When God heals your body or answers prayer or maybe he doesn’t, don’t forget to give him all the Praise him for all the days he has given you on earth

  33. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

You don’t need much, just the Holy Ghost inside of you. In times like this, all we need to do is share the Jesus we have and lift each other up.

  34. “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Peter lived Jesus so he was able to give Jesus! Peter made himself a humble vessel allowing God to use him to do miracles. Peter did not boast in the fact that he himself had power but that he had Jesus.

I thank God we have the King of kings in our lives! I pray we continue to submit ourselves before God, doing His will and not our own!

  35. 12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

  36. “But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

For some people, to say “silver and gold I do not have” is about the worst thing that can be said. They feel the church is in ruins if it must say “silver and gold I do not have.” But it is much worse if the church never has the spiritual power to say, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk”

  37. Hechos 3:22-26

  38. Acts 3
Peter healed a man who was lame from birth. Peter told him 3:6 “silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” The people at the temple courts recognize the man as the beggar that was at the gate called “beautiful”. The people knew he was healed and were astonished by this. Peter told them that thru Jesus Christ, this was possible. If you do not have the Holy Spirit why would you not want it? The miracles that people can perform once they have the Holy Ghost!!!!

  39. 16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
Jesus is our healer. Jesus is our waymaker. Jesus is our strength. Jesus is our provider. Jesus is our everything.

My strength whenever I am weak
    My hope, everything I need
He’s more than life to me
Jesus is my peace, shelter from the storm
He’s all my heart is longing for the one that I adore
Jesus is he is the Truth the Life the Way
My God, He hears my every prayer he said my burdens he would bear I know He’s always there Jesus is
Through Him I’m walking in the light his love will always be my guide he’s always by my side Jesus is he is the Truth the Life the Way He is the Truth the Life the Way He is Prince of Peace King of Kings Lord of Lords Everything Mighty God
Son of Man Holy One The Great I Am He is Prince of Peace

  40. “Then Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’” Acts 3:6

I see this beautiful illustration and testimony as a picture of every person’s helpless, broken state, which the grace of God desires to touch and heal. The bottom line is when it comes to our relationship with God none of us has a leg to stand on. Our sins will always block us from God and keep us from coming to Him for help. But just as the apostles reached out to this lame man, giving him far more than he hoped or asked for, so Jesus has taken the initiative to come to each of us. Thank You Jesus for Your grace extended to us even this day, amen.

  41. I don’t have any money but I have JESUS that man expected money but he got something way better

  42. 17 “Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders.
22 For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.

Make sure you are submitted to the right leadership. Submit to the man of God and to the church not this world. God has raised us up to spread his word but we must obey his way and the man of God. This world is so chaotic it doesn’t know which way to trust that’s why we must show them the only truth there is in God. We must first lead ourselves to submission and humility in order to help this world.

  43. 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

That your sins may be blotted out — That you may be delivered from the heavy burden of your guilt, and may obtain peace with God through the sacrifice and intercession of him you crucified. There will always be guilt in our minds if we don’t repent. We must repent and be forgiven to be able to have peace with God and men.

  44. 1. And Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. 2. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried , whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; 3.. Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms, 4. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

  45. 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

We must repent and turn from sin to get our sin blotted out.
If we want true rest true refreshing we will find it in the presence of the lord. We should always find that place in prayer.

  46. 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

In the presence of the lord we will find true rest true refreshing. In the presence of the lord we will get sins blotted out but it is only in the presence we can find this.
We should get into his presence every day

  47. And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

  48. Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd. “People of Israel,” he said, “what is so surprising about this? And why stare at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or godliness?
    Acts 3:12 NLT

We must always be seeking for opportunities to speak about Jesus and His power. No matter where we are or who we encounter it is always an opportunity to speak salvation into there lives. We don’t know what they are going through but Jesus does and I believe the He creates devine encounters and we have the privilege to be used by Him.

  49. v16 And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong , whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him perfect soundness in the presence of you all”

The name of Jesus is superior.
The name Jesus means ” Jehovah- saves”
His name reveals the purpose of His coming to seek and save lost people from their sins..Luke 19:10

  50. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

We might not posses riches to give to all people in need. But we do have the word of God that sets captive free. Who heals and can give you an instant miracle. So let’s go out and give Jesus to those in need and we will see miracles and wonders be done.

  51. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

There is nothing better then the name of Jesus Christ because their is a limit of what money can get you but with Jesus you can do anything and their is no limits with God.

  52. The contract says

“Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:25-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This word is a promise from God toward us. It is like a contract. If you ever forget what is suppose to be going on you just look back at the contract and remind yourself. I write contracts all the time and sometimes I the writer am reminded of what it says. God knows everything and doesn’t need reminding like me but when we pray his word it activates that promise (contract). I am learning to pray his word instead of my own because he has all knowledge and wisdom. He can do a much better job than I can.

  53. ““Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This Scripture means that, If we have Faith in Our Lord Jesus that He will bring us out from impossible trials then He will bring us out of it For nothing is impossible for God.

  54. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

I think getting healed is better than silver and gold

  55. “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

With all the things that people have, what are they giving? Are they giving pain and anger? Judgment and strife? Sorrow and depression? Loneliness and isolation? Fear and frustration? Why not Jesus? Giving Jesus answers every problem that people face. It can help them through tough times. Jesus can give you hope, peace, joy and so many other things. Let have Jesus so we can give him away instead of ourselves.

  56. Act 3:19  Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

If you need a refreshing in the Spirit go ahead and pray in the Spirit. Give him praise and thanks for the good and the bad that’s been brought before you. Though the situations of your world may not change immediately at least you’ll be full of the Holy Ghost ready to face them all the next day.

  57. ‘Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. ‘
    Acts 3:6-7,16 KJV

For with God nothing shall be impossible. Peter demonstrated by great faith in God all things shall be possible, Peter spoke with faith and of authority and the lame man was heal when Peter spake name of Jesus. Let us believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for He is Lord overall and in His name there is power, and victory, so let share the goodness of the Lord to everyone.

  58. 26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Our iniquities do not define us, God does not see our sins and decide who we are, He sees us as His children who deserve forgiveness, that’s why He has mercy on us, our job is to repent for our iniquities and walk away from them!

  59. Don’t Deny God

    14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

To deny means to state that one refuses to admit the truth or existence of. Many will deny God when the time comes. In Mark 14 the bible states that Peter would deny him three times. Peter was one of the disciples that was close to Jesus and when his situation got a little thick he wanted to disown God.

We should not put ourselves in positions when we don’t want to have any ties with God. Jesus is the reason for all of our success and we can’t just claim to know him when everything is going well. We must be willing to be in it until the end. Don’t allow others to persuade from the ways of Christ. Allow God to show you the only true way.

  60. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

This is the perfect example of Live JESUS to Give JESUS. And now we find why Pastor and many other men of God stress so much that we must be filled with the Holy Ghost daily. If we are not filled we dont have anything to give. The matter then becomes what are you filling yourself with? What are we putting into our vessel? Such as I have give I thee… this is so clear and so important such as I have have give I thee. What are we going to give our world around us? A piece of our mind? The latest news of doom? The atrocities around us with our tainted opinions? Or a word of hope, a word of life, a prayer of faith, a miracle by the power that worketh within us? Such as I have give i thee… it it so important for us to fill ourselves up with the power of the Word of God and the living waters of the Spirit. That way we can go and give love, and all the attributes that come with Love. That way we can give life, hope, an answer. We must fill ourselves with Jesus that we may give out Jesus.

  61. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

The best thing you can give a friend, coworker, family member, or a stranger is Jesus.

Share a word to your friends! It may impact their life and persuade them to follow Christ. Let’s be bold!

  62. 8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

“. . . leaping stood up . . . entered with them” meaning of — Enter His gates with thanksgiving. “. . . walking, and leaping, and praising God.” When we are walking into His presence, we should get excited just remembering what He has healed us from and where He has brought you from.

10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

  63. Unto you first God
The miracle didn’t stop at the healing it continued

    Acts 3:7 KJV
[7] And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

    Acts 3:26 KJV
[26] Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

  64. “But Peter, along with John, stared at him intently and said, “Look at us!” And the man began to pay attention to them, eagerly expecting to receive something from them. But Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have; but what I do have I give to you: In the name (authority, power) of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—[begin now to] walk and go on walking!””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:4-6‬ ‭AMP‬‬
We are often much too ready to settle for much less than God wants to give to us, and our low expectations often rob us.

  65. 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

You got to have it to give it!

That’s what this world is set after, Silver and Gold! Greed has driven a wedge between God and man like never before. It is said that because of Capitalism more people don’t live in poverty then any other time in the history of the world.

It is the leading cause of mans think they are self sufficient. But even one the riches man on the planet, Job, didn’t let wealth drive a wedge between him and Almighty God.

We would be foolish to think, we can live a great life without Him in it.

  66. 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Repentance is the first step to admitting to the Lord our recognition of our sin, we all sin, and we know it, and when we repent, we admit our guilt, we acknowledge our mistake, we take responsibility for our shortcoming, we let God know, that we know, we messed up, and we ask for his grace, his mercy, and his forgiveness. It is us coming to the father, and speaking with him, humbling ourselves to him, and sharing with him, what he already knows. Imagine, if we did this in our relationships with others, if when we did something wrong we admitted to it. There is such a relief in our hearts when we do this, and when someone does it to us. For me, it endures me to them even more, for it’s not an easy thing to own up to our mistakes, but when we don’t follow this, we are committing yet another sin, for we are being prideful. It is much easier for God, and us to move on from the original sin, than it is to not own up to it. Think about when someone has done something that both you and them know they have done it, but they don’t acknowledge it, it upsets you, now just imagine how that makes our Lord and Savior feel, remember he hears everything, sees everything, and knows everything, so you are not going to get away with something, so it’s best not to fall to that sin in the first place, but when you do, repent, quickly and mean it. Praise Jesus for this wonderful day, Hallelujah to the Almighty, thank you Jesus. Praise to you for all of your wonderful blessings.🙏🏻😁
