Acts 2

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

  1. 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

There is truth about one thing in this life, there is strength in numbers. If a body of believers come together in unity and have faith to accomplish things as a unified body and not individuals, there is no enemy that can stop them. The Bible states in Hebrews 10-

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

We have to come together and become a body that will conquer the enemy. We have a great opportunity to reach a harvest that God has prepared for the church during this time of fear and doubt. We have to continue steadfast as the apostles did. We have to help one another during the troublesome times so that we can be strong during the great times. We all have to have the same vision and the same focus to be a great church. An army is not successful with soldiers doing their own thing. They are successful moving and doing things as a unit.

We have to be mindful of our calling and anointing that God has given us. We are to live Jesus so that we can give the greatest gift of mankind and that is eternal life through Jesus Christ.

  3. On the day of Pentecost there was a mighty rushing wind and they all spoke with other tongues. Bystanders were like they are drunk and Peter said nonsense this is the power of the HOLY Ghost , which was promised . This is the same Spirit that rose JESUS from the grave.

  4. Acts 2

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

  5. 2:16 but this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel.

Yes, here, in the year of 2020, in your local church 🙌🙌
It’s still happening. All glory to God and His faithfulness.
🙏 Thankful that after I heard the WORD preached.
I believed it and I received it. Holy Ghost.
His Spirit was always with me, and I didn’t even know it.
👉 but now His SPIRIT feels within me.🙌🙌🙌
    Thankful.
But this does not stop here….
This is a promise for my children too… I must share this bet thing and not keep it to myself.

  6. So In Acts Chapter 2 we are talking about discipline and In verses 1-6 it’s talking about discipline and how the day of Pentecost came rushing down from heaven as there was a wind that came from heaven then everyone appeared cloven tongues then everyone was Holy Ghost and started to speak with tongues then Jesus gave them utterance then in Jerusalem out of Every nation there was a noise and that noise came together because everyperson can heard someone speak in holy tongue

  7. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

It doesn’t take very much looking to see how perverse and crooked things are in the world. People are running around wreaking havoc every time things don’t go a certain way. Is no doubt just as bad if not worse than the days of Noah, but the word of God tells us to save ourselves from a perverse generation. I don’t know how bad things were in those days coming but I do know that despite the conditions the Lord still continue to pour out his holy spirit upon people. Just because everyone is wreaking havoc, it seems, does it mean the Lord is not able to move in a mighty way.in fact, I don’t think there’s any better time than now for the Lord to pour out his Spirit upon All flesh with all this chaos.

  8. 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

This are the glorious words that pricked my heart back on February 23, 1983 in Scholfield Barracks Hawaii and the Lord filled me with The Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. That promos then was also given to my daughter, my wonderful husband, and sweet son in law, and will continue through all my generations until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you Jesus for lifting me up out of the muddy earth, cleaning me up, and placing me on solid ROCK of salvation. No turning back!!! Thank you Jesus for your miracles and promises that are yeah and Amen!!! ONLY JESUS CAN CHANGE PEOPLE, by the renewing of the mind and spirit!!! TELL PEOPLE ABOUT JESUS!! GIVE JESUS!! GIVE LIFE!!

  9. Acts 2
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

After the initial baptism of the Holy Ghost it did not stop there. Salvation had just been fulfilled . The promise that they had been waiting for . There is nothing as beautiful to see someone filled the Spirit of God. But the beauty continues as they continue in the Word and the power of God begins to be manifested daily . Was the singleness of mind here the mind of Christ. I believe so . One accord breaking break which to me means unity and refreshment in the word one mind . If we allow the mind of Christ to be within us and feast daily in His Word and fellowship with believers gladness is revealed. They are with gladness. Whether it is spiritual or natural food it was eaten with gladness . In the temple daily.eating His Word daily with gladness . Thank you for the opportunity to be filled daily with your Spirit.

  10. Pour it out Jesus
    Rejoice with intent
    Hungry for an out pouring

Repent of those things that have pricked my heart and receive the promises of God with no restrictions.

    Acts 2:37 KJV
[37] Now when they heard this , they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

    Joel 2:18 KJV
[18] Then will the Lord be jealous for his land, and pity his people.

    Joel 2:21 KJV
[21] Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.

    Joel 2:23-30 KJV
[23] Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month . [24] And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. [25] And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. [26] And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. [27] And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. [28] And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: [29] And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. [30] And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

Leviticus 22:29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the Lord , offer it at your own will.

  11. Acts‬ ‭2:21
“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

    ‭‭ ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:38
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

It’s all about Calling the name There is power, Over all situations. Try it what are you got lose you already in that mess.

    A.LM.A.S.

  12. Verses 46-47 MSG “They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved.” Similar words for discipline: teach, direction, train or educate. From the time they received, all the believers joined in with joy and generous hearts. Can you imagine if we do the same POFW??? We are part of “all the believers”; so let us share the joy, joy down in our hearts and teach, direct, train and educate this world about who JESUS is as we LIVE-GIVE JESUS with daily discipline!

  13. I hear alot of people saying daily, when are we going to be back to normal again or I will be glad when things are back to normal. Really? This world was/is a mess with all the demonic forces and permiscousness that is allowed and promoted as ok way to live and I could go on and on. We need the Holy Ghost and fire every day in all we do. And we need to show and try to get people to experience Jesus so that we never go back to “normal”.

  14. 16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

This is that!! What we know and experience is literally that which was experienced in the book of Acts! Thank You Jesus for such a glorious opportunity!

  15. 15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
    16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

John 14:16-17 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

Receiving the Holy Ghost after being a believer is evident in scriptures. We see the “promise of the Father” fulfilled in these scrioture as well. The world is blinded to this truth and needs us to show the way. I pray for open doors to witness and teach on the hope I have in Jesus.

  16. Acts 2 : 39 -40 [ Amp] For the promise [ of the Holy Spirit] is to and for you and your children, and to and for all that are far away , [ even] to and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself.
[40] And [ Peter] solemnly and earnestly witnessed
testified) and admonished( exhorted) with much more continuous speaking and warned ( reproved, advised, encouraged) them saying, Be saved from this crooked ( perverse , wicked, unjust) generation.
Hold on to that promise , and see and believe, what God is going to do! Pray in the Holy Ghost!
    We must be saved!

  17. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    APOSTOLICS GO TO CHURCH

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

There has been much debate lately over whether or not people should gather at church or not. I have contended for years that there needs to be spiritual activity at home and that we should be faithful to church every time the doors are open.

This passage caught my attention today as we approach Pentecost Sunday, I thought, we are looking at a great opportunity to be APOSTOLIC.

APOSTOLICS GO TO CHURCH and then go home and celebrate. Look at this passage in the NLT.

    NLT
46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity[j]— 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

Yes the church began in a house, not every house, but a designated house, but it is obvious that here in Acts 2 they got to the Temple or Church “Place of Worship” immediately.

Lets take this Pentecost Sunday as an opportunity to BE Apostolic and GO to Church and then GO Home and Celebrate.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iLive
    iGive

  18. Promised for centuries and finally poured out…and now it’s 2,000 years later and God is still pouring out His Spirit just as He did on that day. This is such a monumental thing.

I don’t think we understand the power of what we’re sitting on here.
The Mighty Being that Created Everything with just His Voice wants to share the Power of His Spirit with us, empower us as spiritual beings in a physical world, AND opens a place for us beside Him for All Eternity!

My God!! My King!! Holy Mighty God!! I bless Your Name!!

  19. 25King David said this about him:‘I see that the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. 26No wonder my heart is glad, and my tongue shouts his praises! My body rests in hope.

If filled with the Holy Spirit, you can not be shaken. God is with you, and you shall have no fear, lack faith, or be depressed. Your heart is filled with joy, and you’ll want to give praises unto God. You’ll have peace, comfort and blessings upon you.

  20. 28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Those in the upper room had been instructed to go there and tarry until they be endued with power from on high. They had no idea what was going to happen, how it was going to happen or when it was going to happen. They were just believing what thad been told them.

Because of their obedience, a greater truth was opened up in their life. Their ways were established, they were given power, and they experienced great joy, which was evident on their faces, a testimony to many that they had received their promise.

Joy of the Lord is an additional evidence that the Holy Spirit has come. I’ve have seen it many times praying with people, when the holy ghost comes, their countenance changes, you can see it when it happens.

Joy is part of the fruit of the spirit. God intended for his people to be joyful and to express the joy. In this day everyone is weighted down with the cares of life, loosing a job, or possibly working but ends don’t meet, there’s never enough to go around. People need joy. What better way to share Jesus with them then to share the joy that comes from knowing Jesus, allowing Him to make His ways known to us.

The joy of the Lord is my strength!!

  21. iLove the Kingdom
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Todays character word trait is “Discipline”. The above Scripture perfectly describes our word of the day. Think about how much discipline it would take to keep a church sitting together with one accord in one place for several days. Its hard enough to keep a church together for one service. Praise God for the discipline of the early church!

  22. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

They continued daily to pray together to eat together and be happy amongst one another. People witnessed this fellowship and God honored it by adding to the congregation. The oneness displayed by the congregation, supporting one another, is the just the example that needs to be shown when we try to when souls.

  23. “For David says of Him, ‘I SAW THE LORD CONSTANTLY BEFORE ME; F OR H E IS AT MY RIGHT HAND, SO THAT I WILL NOT BE SHAKEN [from my state of security]. T HEREFORE MY HEART REJOICED AND MY TONGUE EXULTED EXCEEDINGLY; M OREOVER MY FLESH ALSO WILL LIVE IN HOPE [that is, will encamp in anticipation of the resurrection];”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:25-26‬ ‭AMP‬‬

‘My tongue EXULTED exceedingly’ Hallelujah to know that we have the Holy Ghost. And having the HOLY GHOST allows us to have ‘Triumphant JOY’ it allows you to freely live and share the life, the gospel that the LORD has given you.

    This ‘JOY’ is what is lacking in our country today. It is why you see what is going on in the media today. There was a song the church would sing way back in the day(1997) and it went like this;

‘This JOY that I have, the world didn’t give it to me.’x3
‘The world didn’t give it, the world can’t take it away.’
Hallelujah church!!! Just singing makes me Joyful 😀

So Lino matter what comes against you and your family….choose JOY!

  24. “The believers studied what the apostles taught. They shared life together. They broke bread and ate together. And they prayed. Everyone felt that God was near. The apostles did many wonders and miraculous signs. All the believers were together. They shared everything they had. They sold what they owned. They gave each other everything they needed. Every day they met together in the temple courtyard. In their homes they broke bread and ate together. Their hearts were glad and honest and true. They praised God. They were respected by all the people. Every day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:42-47‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

My desire is to see more fellowship among the body. I pray that we would share live life together. And that we would study together and just talk about what the Lord is doing. I remember attending Vesper services while attending TBC and it was amazing. We sang a couple of worship songs and had a little devotional and just prayed for hours. And when you felt released from prayer you would go home. I would love to see this here at POFW. Let’s gather and share life together.

  25. 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Call on the name of the Lord, repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus and you shall be saved and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost

    NLT
[23]But God knew what would happen, and his prearranged plan was carried out when Jesus was betrayed. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to a cross and killed him.
[24]But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip.
Death could not hold You The veil tore before You You silence the boast of sin and grave The heavens are roaring The praise of Your glory For You are raised to life again You have no rival You have no equal Now and forever God You reign Yours is the kingdom Yours is the glory Yours is the Name above all names

  26. 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

This is proof that if many people come together in unity and agree on something as one then the impossible becomes possible and the natural becomes the supernatural and god steps in and takes control.

  27. Acts 2:21, “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

    Romans 1012-14 says…,
    12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
    13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
    14) How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Peter was the Preacher on the day of Pentecost. He preached, the people were pricked in their hearts, and those that gladly received the word that he preached were baptized, and 3,000 souls were added to the church that day.

JESUS today YOU will SAVE me!!
    LIVE JESUS – GIVE JESUS

  28. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

I wonder if the wording gladly received his word means anything?
We can get a word from God or the man of God and receive it or do it but not truly receive it or do it.
Just doing it because they said so or because it would please the Lord.
What would happen if we gladly received God’s word or promises?
I can tell you his power and spirit will fall on you just like it did here.

So next God gives a word try to gladly received to truly received it and not just go through the motions.

  29. Acts 2:39-44
“ For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common;”

I have heard and read this passage of scripture many, many times over and over in my lifetime, but what stands out to me the most is that just like back then they were compelled to fellowship, break bread and gather to pray together in one accord… we too, must still follow these same instructions from thousands of years ago!

    Hebrews 13:8
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.“

  30. ‘King David said this about him: ‘I see that the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.’
    Acts of the Apostles 2:25

Its easy to see the chaos around you, and not see that the Lord is actually working it all in your favor! Yet we must have faith in the Love of God, that no matter what we are going through its all out of Love to better ourselves for the Kingdom of God!

  31. 24. Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

He was loosed from physical death so that we could be loosed from spiritual death.

    John 11:
    25. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

    26. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

  32. 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

They were all with one accord in one place. They had perfect harmony, in one word unity. They were all with the same goal, mindset and desire. That is where we find another scripture where God commands the blessing. In unity we will see great things. God wants his church to he One body, One mind. When we get to that place we will definitely see wonders, signs and most definitely miracles.

  33. “On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭2:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

They were gathered together sharing the same heart, the same love for God, the same trust in His promise.
Before we can be filled, we must recognize our emptiness; by gathering together for prayer, in obedience, these disciples did just that. They recognized they did not have the resources in themselves to do what they could do or should do, they had to instead rely on the work of God.

  34. Acts 2:17

And it shall come to pass in the last days; saith God, I will pour out my Spirits, upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

God spoke about what shall happen to those that have the Holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus for all you have given to us.

  35. “Day after day they met in the temple [area] continuing with one mind, and breaking bread in various private homes. They were eating their meals together with joy and generous hearts, praising God continually, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord kept adding to their number daily those who were being saved.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:46-47‬ ‭AMP‬‬

When two or three are gathered in his name he will be in the midst. Stay prayed and fasted up. God can do the impossible if we just have to believe. Let’s continue to praise & worship his name and watch him do the miraculous.

  36. 1.And when the day of Pentecost was fully come , they were all with one accord in one place. 2. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3. And there appeared Unt them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4. And they were filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

  37. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

When we are all united and become as one body we begin to become as family and feel this happiness and joy.

  38. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

The power of God is not restrained by language barriers. I’m always reminded of the Tower of Babel when I read these verses. In the story of the Tower of Babel God confound their language to stop their unity of rebelling against His will. The the Holy Ghost comes on the scene and He gives man the Holy Ghost a “Holt Tongue” the would unify man yo Do the will of God. The Holy Ghost that would lead man to truth.

I’m thankful fir the fire if the Holy Ghost that leads me.

  39. Never Stop Praying

42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Without prayer we have no communication with God. Things in our life begin to fall apart quickly and there appears to be no hope at the end. Prayer can fix this.

If you want things changed in your life then start praying. If you’re having issues with your boss and coworkers, then start praying. If your home is in chaos, then start praying. Prayer is able to solve the issues that we experience in everyday life.

1 Peter 5:7….Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. God cares for his people. You can’t expect to have a good relationship with anybody if there is no communication. This same concept works for building a relationship with God. Through prayer we have just that relationship that God desires from his people. So, continue to pray in the good times and bad times and watch what God can do.

  40. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Everyone that was filled spoke in tongues. Still I fail to see with this much evidence how most people would look this over and say different.

Early in my youth, I didn’t have the understanding. But I witnessed the gift operate in the church and then I myself as a skeptic, God filled me with the HG.

This is why I say, that even to curtain point everyone that has never had it does not have the tangible evidence that God truly exist. And can easily fall from faith to unbelief. Because the HG is the supernatural POWER of God in us to help us overcome.

  41. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

I’ve lost count on how many times I heard this question uttered after people hear about the goodness of Jesus. And although most of them have never even read this scripture, they almost quote it. ” What must I do to be saved” After over 2020 years the questions has changed and praise God the answer has nt either. No matter how world tries to change the answer, the word changes not.

  42. People of Israel, listen! God publicly endorsed Jesus the Nazarene by doing powerful miracles, wonders, and signs through him, as you well know. But God knew what would happen, and his prearranged plan was carried out when Jesus was betrayed. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to a cross and killed him. But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭2:22-24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Peter did not flinch at saying, “You crucified this Man who God sent.” His first concern was not to please his audience, but to tell them the truth. The Spirit-filled Peter was a different man that the Peter who a few months before, even knowing Jesus (Matthew 26:69-75).

  43. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Everyone of them listened to what the word of God was saying and it saved all of their lives they turned their lives to God, asking for forgiveness of their sins and being reborn in his name. As the children of the Lord, each and everyone of us together should be worshipping and praising the Lord every single day. Celebrating his name and how he gave us another chance and saved us. Everyday as we need to spread the word of God, God is adding more and more to our fellowship. I pray that we all receive strength and courage and wisdom from our Lord, and that he uses all of us to help spread his word and for us to be his witnesses.

  44. ‘Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. ‘
    Acts 2:26-28 KJV

thanksgiving be to the Lord for my heart sing praise, and my tongue shall glorify thee. My flesh shall rest in your presence for Your word says thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. You Lord have made known to me the ways of life and your joy shall fill me with your coutenance.

  45. v32 This Jesus hath God raised up,whereof we all are witnesses.

This message of hope became a reality when the Lord poured out His Spirit on the Day Pentecost.

  46. 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

  47. 17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

This generation is the one to bring this worlds focus back on God. He’s pouring out his spirit and we need to let his fire spread to this world. Don’t let the fire stop in your home or at church but start a spark everywhere you walk!

  48. 16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Everyone is included! We are all able to partake in this spoken word of the prophet Joel. From the youngest to the oldest, The outpouring of the Holy Ghost in this last days will bring prophesy, visions and dreams. What a glorious experience for us! It will amaze or confused others but those with understanding will rejoice for what God is doing.

  49. “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:2, 4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“There’s something about the Wind of God that changes everything. And it’s blowing my way.”
    – Wind of God by VaShawn Mitchell

Like the sound of a rushing mighty wind! Wind can be refreshing in which you find yourself spreading your arms and allowing the wind to blow around you. Wind can also be powerful in which every object in its’ path has no choice but to move. The same is with the Holy Ghost. We should talk in tongues everyday to receive a refreshing anointing to submit ourselves to Jesus. And at the same time, when we speak in tongues we are inviting God’s anointing to come and shake up everything in our life. This power we have received from Him can cause dry bones to live, mountains to move, curses to be broken, yolks to be destroyed, and everything in between!

I thank God for the wind blowing our way. That we can rejoice as we our filled with The Breath of Life. I pray we come tomorrow filled with His Spirit so His Wind can come and change EVERYTHING! Thank you Jesus for the Wind!!!

  50. Call in the name

“And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is not a cheap salvation scripture or a shortcut to heaven. Peter begins to explain it just before. He says this is that which was prophesied by Joel. This verse quotes Joel 2:32. Joel 2:28–31 and describes how those who repent will be given the Holy Spirit while those who continue to reject God will see blood, fire, smoke, and a darkened sky. There are two distinct groups, and whoever calls on the Lord will be saved.
These two distinct groups are also mentioned in Matthew 25:31–46: “But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. The difference in sheep and goats is how and what they will eat. The sheep wait on the Shepard and eat by his hand. The goats will eat anything put in front of them. So going back to calling in the name of the Lord and you will he saved, it is call in not only the name but his teachings and everything he stood and died for. This means you are actually saved by adhering and obeying his commandments and teachings. He who is baptized the same shall be saved. You must be born if water and spirit. The name Jesus represents all of his teaching. So the question is why leave only part of the equation answered? I don’t want to be told “you almost made it son, I heard you calling my name and I just knew you would obey my teaching but all you ever did was say my name. “ my children also call in my name but they know they have to be obedient to get any reward.

  51. They stood there amazed and perplexed. “What can this mean?” they asked each other. But others in the crowd ridiculed them, saying, “They’re just drunk, that’s all!”
    Acts 2:12‭-‬13 NLT

When there is movement of the holy ghost dont worry and dont be ashamed of what you are experiencing. There is always someone who will not understand what is going on and they will begin to criticize you and make fun of you.
Remember it is better to be criticize and please God with your praise than to please man and be criticized by God.

  52. 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

So glad God has allowed me to be a part of this.

  53. 33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. NIV

12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13 and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. Hebrews 10:12-13

  54. 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

We were taught at a very young age to memorize not only Acts 2:38 & 39, but also Acts 2:1-4. I can still quote these today. I can not wait until tomorrow as these things happen yet again. Our heritage, our lineage, and the reason we all keep coming despite obstacles, despite our short comings, despite our issues with others around. It is what proves that this is the truth and the way to what we believe. Tomorrow with Pentecost Sunday we have another amazing chance at this wonderful Truth.

  55. 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

    Let’s spread the Word!
There are many souls out there that are lost and in need of Jesus. This promise is not only for us but also to those out in the world! It is selfish to keep my experience with God just to myself, I need to share it with others!

  56. When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place . . . And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:1,4

Sometimes He’s a mighty, rushing wind, and sometimes just a gentle, blowing breeze; but the result of His visit will always be the same. People will turn their hearts to the Lord. My prayer is that our Lord visit us again and fill us any way that He might desire, be it a gentle breeze or a mighty roaring wind.

  57. 14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

Peter after being filled with the Holy Ghost, get up with the eleven and preached his first sermon with boldness. With an assurance because the Holy Ghost would speak for him. That’s, were we have to understand that it is His Spirit that is in us, that bring conviction in people. It is only by the Power of God, that we are able to turn our life around. After, that first sermon, three thousand souls were Baptized in Jesus Name. It’s His Power that changes life’s.

  58. “For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:25-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What a message of hope! So many promises that are fulfilled and Jen we seek after and live/love Jesus!

  59. Act 2:37  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

When you speak the Word of the Lord speak it with boldness and let the Holy Ghost move through you. This prick in their hearts was conviction and God moves on these people. I was speaking with three boys about their first week of the Holy Ghost and dealing with conviction they didn’t understand but thank you Jesus they do now.

  60. 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the Holy Ghost. I’m amazed at the speed in which this can all be accomplished in such a short amount of time, and yet it changes everything in your life and your eternity. Time and time again, as I have witnessed people repent, they gain such a peace, a calm, it’s as if all that sin is a huge, heavy back pack of sin, and once we repent, we set it down, it’s such a welcome relief, for it is burdensome to carry that sin, that guilt, with ourselves, then when we get baptized, it’s as if Jesus see’s that bag of sin and he gets rid of it for us. He disposes of it and the washing away of our sins cleans us, and when we receive the Holy Ghost, it’s Jesus saying to us, your past is forgiven, and his giving us the Holy Ghost is like a hug from him. It kinda reminds me of going to the car wash, first you throw out the trash, then you vacuum, then you wash it clean, and then you wax it, to protect it. Nothing protects you like Jesus, he is the Ultimate, and I’m so thankful that he didn’t give up on me. Hallelujahs to you Jesus, my Lord, my savior. Praise to you the Almighty. Thank you Jesus.
