Psalm Chapter 9 – Chronological

I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.

Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.

But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

12 When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.

13 Have mercy upon me, O Lord; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:

14 That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.

15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

16 The Lord is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.

19 Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.

20 Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

    Psalms 84:10
For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.
I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

The first thing when I read this Psalm… WHY would you entertain being outside the security of God?

    Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

There is nothing… nothing that this world has to offer that would provide us protection and provision from the enemy.

Thank you Jesus for guiding and protecting from the wiles of the devil!

  2. 20 “Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.”
    ‭‭

    Romans‬ ‭3:23‬
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

    ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭
‭ “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

This one really hit hard bottom line we are just man, Trying to be Christlike sinners saved by grace.

  3. Verses 1-2 MSG “I’m thanking you, God, from a full heart, I’m writing the book on your wonders. I’m whistling, laughing, and jumping for joy; I’m singing your song, High God.” I am so thankful for God’s mighty hand upon us. I want to always enter his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise. 1 Chronicles 16:34 CEV says “Praise the Lord because he is good to us, and his love never fails.” Colossians 3:15 AMP “Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].” Colossians 4:2 AMP “Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving.” Right now a lot of people are not letting the peace of Christ be the controlling factor in their hearts. We as one body must remain focused and be persistent in prayer.

Verses 9-10 AMP “The Lord also will be a refuge and a stronghold for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble; And those who know Your name [who have experienced Your precious mercy] will put their confident trust in You, For You, O Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You.” We must keep reaching and trusting in the Lord for his guidance. Isaiah 26:3-4 AMP says “You will keep in [a]perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both [b]inclination and character], Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation]. “Trust [confidently] in the Lord forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner], For the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].”

  4. 4For you have judged in my favor; from your throne you have judged with fairness.

Only God will judge you with fairness, unlike judges from the bench who intrepid the law and can error. God will judge us for righteousness and for who we are.

Psalm 98:9 before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

  5. 6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.

7 But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

I am reminded of a statement that our evangelist David Smith always states when closing a service, that everyone is going to heaven but not all are going to stay. I find that this psalm let’s me know that all are going to be judged in the uprightness of God. We will at one time or another stand before God to be judged. I pray that when we are standing before the throne of judgment I can hear “well done thy good and faithful servant”. I do know that without a doubt there will be many that will hear depart from me thou worker of iniquity for I know you not.

I have found that the more I stay in the refuge of God, the more I am assured that I can stay focused on the kingdom of God. If we put first the kingdom and live Jesus like our eternity depends on it, then we will not be sent away. It is time the church to do what God has destined us to do. That is to be a lifeline for the lost and dying. We have to stay focused and move forward taking dominion and authority over the earth and stand boldly for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  6. Psalm 9
1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
Just reading these verses has made my day. My soul has been quieted.
    Psalm 103:1-2
1 [[A Psalm of David.]] Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
    Psalm 116:7
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.May this day the earth praise you as it is being don in heaven.
I praise you this morning erer rejoycing in your goodness.

  7. “The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9:9-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/114/psa.9.9-10.nkjv

What peace of mind it is know you have a refuge in times of trouble. To have reassurance that you will not be forsaken when you trust in the Lord.

  8. I read the message translation on this also. We are striving to be like God and stay in his presence also try to have his Godly thinking. In striving for this God is forever there to see us thru. We have comfort and faith in knowing our God is jealous and wants us to be with him forever.

  9. Psalms 9:9-10
    9) The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
    10) And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

    So THANKFUL today that…
God is our refuge in times of trouble. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (PS. 46:1)
    So THANKFUL today that…
I know His name. His name is JESUS. And I put my Trust in HIM.
    So THANKFUL today that…
He will never leave us nor forsake us. “… for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Heb. 13:5)
    So THANKFUL today that…
When I seek Him, I will find him. “But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.” (Deut. 4:29)

    Thank You JESUS!!
“I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.” (vs. 2)

  10. Psalms 9
    I will give thanks and praise the Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell aloud all Your wonders and marvelous deeds.
    2
    I will rejoice and exult in you;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.

I will declare what You have and are doing. When I was a child everyone gave a testimony. “I love Jesus because He first love me”. “He is my everything
.We were taught at an early age to exalt the Lord and His Goodness. The focus was on what God had been doing. I must continue to give God the praise . He is good ! He is my everything. The adversary will be defeated through victory in Jesus . Today I give God praise for all He has done and is doing. Let God arise let my enemies be scattered. David knew that praise and worship was the key to victory!

  11. 11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.
12 When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.
13 Have mercy upon me, O Lord; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:

I do not typically enjoy trials and tribulations but I cannot think of any other time whenever I have drawn closer to God then under the heat of a personal trial. Knowing that my prayers become more intense and focused and watching God deliver me while I give him praise in advance, has been the stepping Stones which drive me further into wanting to know God more. every trial that we face doesn’t have to be something that we are just passing through but rather an opportunity that we can draw closer to the King of Kings.

  12. Ps.9:1-2 [ amp] I will praise You, O Lord , with my whole heart ; I will show fourth ( recount and tell aloud) all Your marvelous works and wonderful deeds !
[2] I will rejoice in You and be in high spirits; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High!
This is the day that the Lord has made , and I will be glad in it.
I am so thank full that I am a child of God, And I will lift him up and give praise and glory for he is so good to us and for us.
Let’s shout the name of Jesus all you people!

  13. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    THIS IS HOW WE PRAISE

1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

Whole hearted PRAISE is easy to identify. It is exhibited and demonstrated with no regard of the impression of others. Half hearted praise is similarly identified by the seasonal or conditional expression of praise.

A key word in this passage that will assist us in identifying our heart position on PRAISE is “BE”.

    BE Glad
    BE Rejoicing
    BE Singing
    BE Praising

This approach to Praise is our responsibility for testimony. “To SHOW forth all thy Marvellous WORKS”.

When others see us PRAISE the LORD even when things are not well with us we shew forth HIS marvelous works from WHOLE HEARTED praise.

    From a:

    Healthy HEART
    Hurt HEART
    Broken HEART
    Merry HEART
    Wounded HEART
    Encouraged HEART
    Confused HEART
    Peaceful HEART

The commitment to “I WILL Praise thee, O LORD” is the motivation for the whole hearted Praise. This attitude says: regardless of how I feel or what happens to me, “I will Praise the LORD” “I will be Praising the LORD”.

May JESUS help us bring this attitude to the house of GOD, every time we come together.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo

  14. Psalm 9:10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

I will seek thee with my whole heart and trust you with my whole heart in Jesus Name!!

Psalm 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

    Thank you Jesus!!!

  15. Arise, O Lord ! Do not let mere mortals defy you! Judge the nations! Make them tremble in fear, O Lord . Let the nations know they are merely human. Interlude
    Psalms 9:19‭-‬20 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.9.19-20.NLT

Nothing keeps us humbled, but empowered like having a healthy FEAR OF THE LORD. That I believe is why our country has lost their minds. We have lost any fear of the Lord. My Lord Jesus, shows us as Your people where we may falter. You, Oh Lord, are the only One that can get us out of this. I bless Your Holy Name.

  16. 9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

Lord, daily we put our trust in you. We are covered by your blood, your name and your word is hid in our hearts. I praise you! Forever God is with us, forever God is good, forever God is faithful, Forever and Ever! This is the song that came to my heart while meditating on this word.

  17. 1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

Because He is worthy of it all! I’m grateful to know the King of kings and to know His name. Verse 10 says, we can trust His name and if we seek Him He will not forsake us. Just call the Name of Jesus!

  18. “The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Hallelujah!

Thank you Jesus. Your hand and protection that is upon us all. You’re perfect in every way. For without a doubt your ‘grace is sufficient for me!’

  19. 9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

Everything we have need of we can find in Jesus, we just have to call upon Him. He stands like a knight in shining armor waiting on us to invite Him into our situation.

AMP – Psalms 18 -1 “I love You [fervently and devotedly], O Lord, my strength.”
    2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and the One who rescues me;
    My God, my rock and strength in whom I trust and take refuge;
My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower—my stronghold.
    3 I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised;
And I am saved from my enemies.

  20. 1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

As we praise God, we must rejoice in our hearts for what He has done for us. Everyday we see His Love and Mercy toward us, by us seeing a new day, to have the opportunity to praise Him, even when is not easy to praise Him. We must continue to shout that Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lord’s.

  21. 20 Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

It is time that men recognize that they’re just that men. Men have taken science to a level that they start believing they’re self reliant and NO!!!! We have a Creator, our God Most High Jesus!!!! The Only One in control and I believe 2020 is bringing some men to that level back to men!!! Men seem to have lost ALL FEAR for ALL things until corona came and change things up a bit. Although a lot of people are still walking around blind or acting ignorant and self governing so what was meant to be around a month or two is here to stay! All because the pride of men, that will not humble, and obey. Lord help us see your plan and help us take hands together to assist you in everything you want from us. Uniting in Prayer to Jesus. Give Jesus!!

  22. Psalm 9

1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.

5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.

  23. So in Psalm Chapter 9 verses 1-6 it’s talking about Jesus and how he can praise people with his whole heart and then I can sing praise to thy name then the enemies will turn back then thou satest in my throne then lastly thou has destroyed cities and perished them!!!! AMEN HALLELUJAH

  24. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

The key here is “with my whole heart”. This is a simple phrase yet is not as easy as it sounds because we are humans. For example, the Word declares that wisdom is greater than silver and gold. During different teaching opportunities, I will as people if I had a gold bar sitting here and I had wisdom which one would you pick. Everyone who is asked that question always says wisdom. But honestly most people would probably take the gold. So it’s true as well with worshiping God with our whole heart. It seems easy and it’s what we strive for but it is harder said than done

  25. 11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.
When we have trouble and it does not seem like the Lord is helping us, we shold continue to praise the Lord. This scripture reminds us that the Lord will render justice unto the wicked.

  26. 7 But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.
8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Put your trust in the one who will never leave you when you need a friend. His name is Jesus just call on him.

  27. 5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

If we just turn to God with our troubles we’ll never have to worry! Whenever the tempter and the enemy comes against us and try to put us down we should always look up to where our help comes from because God will always be with us, walk with us, and fight for us whenever we can’t. And we should never let the attacks of the enemy worry us because in the end the righteous and holy are victorious.

  30. The Lord alerted Samuel of Saul’s arrival. The Lord said that Saul will come to visit, and when he arrives, he is to be anointed and declared the firest king of Israel. The Lord heard the cries of his people. Saul shall be the one to lead them against the Philistines.

  31. Psalms 9:1
I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works.

Jesus Christ died for our sins. How can we not praise someone for this? God created us! We must with our whole heart praise Him. We would not exist without Him. Everything we have is because of Him! I want to thank you Lord God for EVERYTHING!!!

  32. 9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

The Lord is a safe place. We can run to him when we are in trouble.
Most of us when we were kids when we got hurt or scared we run to our mother or father why because it was a safe place they took care of every need. Jesus is our heavenly father and will take care of ever need we just have to go to him.
If we truly trust and know the Lord we will be all our trust in him. Not having one foot in and one foot out but totally trusting God

  33. ut the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

  34. 10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

Our faith shows when we tell others of His mercies and praise Jesus publicly. That’s right publicly.

How are we displaying faith if we only worship in our car, room, or at church? Our lives are living epistles read of all men… and might I add seen by Jesus.

  35. “The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9:9-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

These Scriptures means that, The Lord provides calmness in the storms or tribulations of life. For If We urgently seek His Face He will bring us out of our tribulations and storms.

  36. “He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness. The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9:8-9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The lord justice gives peace and fairness to those good and evil. We should alway stay good with the Lord because do lord does not forsake the good.

  37. “But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I thank God what we go through in life only lasts for a season and that He is forever! We are never alone because we have a God who is our defense. A God who does not fail nor forsake the righteous. A God who hears our cries. I pray we sing His praises for all our days, rejoicing that He is God FOREVER!!

  38. Psa 9:3  When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
Psa 9:4  For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.
Psa 9:5  Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

The Lord will fight your battles all you have to do is continue to praise him and watch God destroy your enemies. He won’t leave a trace of them either he’ll destroy them and everything that was with it

  39. v2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name ,O thou most high.

True worship involves more than our thoughts. It affects our emotions, the inward part that we call the heart. If we set our affections of our heart on the Lord we will desire to express our love to worship and daily stresses and worries will not overwhelm our hearts.

  40. 7. But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

God has PREPARED His throne for judgment, so we must PREPARE ourselves to face the judgment and be found faithful.

    Matthew 25:
    21. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

    34. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom PREPARED for you from the foundation of the world:

  41. “I will give thanks and praise the LORD, with all my heart; I will tell aloud all Your wonders and marvelous deeds. I will rejoice and exult in you; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9:1-2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

David praised God with the whole heart; by singing praises to God. The idea is to honor and celebrate the character and nature of God, recognizing Him as the Most High. I want to always have a song in my heart to sing of Gods marvelous works.

  42. 10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

God will not forsake his people. He will always be there. No matter what we go through, God will be right there. We must put our trust in him no matter what may come our way.

In God we can know without a doubt that we are winners . The enemy wants you to believe you’ll never amount to anything. However, thanks be to God who let’s us know otherwise. In him we will find strength and the truth. God our refuge and strength.

  43. 1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most high.

We serve a God who never fails or forsakes us! Thank you Lord for everything you do for us, thank you for hearing our cry outs to you, helping us fight our battles, forgiving us of all our sins, and renewing us in your spirit and love. As the children of God we all should be able to trust and put all our faith in the Lord for he will never ever fail us. I praise and worship your name, and sing the most high praises to you!

  44. 9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. 10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

The Lord is our place of refuge. We will all face trouble at some point in our lives. We can rest assured that God will be that place we should run into. It’s often easy to put our trust in things and people but we must remember to turn to God the author and finisher of our faith.

  45. Sing praises to the Lord who reigns in Jerusalem. Tell the world about his unforgettable deeds.
    Psalms 9:11 NLT

As the world today uses every means of promotion and communication to get its agendas out in the open so the world knows.
The church also need to rise up and use it to praise Him and let His power and mercy be known. This world need a Jesus and the peace He can give.

It is a serious trial to the child of God to feel forsaken by God. There are particular times when we are likely to feel that the Lord has forsaken us.
    When we have sinned.
    When we face great trouble.
When we have some great job to do.
When we feel our prayers are unanswered.
Yet we can find refuge in seeking God, in knowing His name. “To ‘know Thy name’ is here equivalent to learning God’s character as made known by His acts.

  47. “Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Every knee shall now and every tongue confess. Whether you like it or not, we areHis creation and we will now one way or another. God has a way of humbling even the most proud of us. We are just men standing in awe of our creator whether it be in reverence or fear. Either way He is.

  48. 11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.

There is already so much bad and chaos and fear going around. The best thing we can do is sing the praises of God. Declare his wonderful works. It is only Him that can change things.

  49. “Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This can be said of what is happening in our world today. Super powers and world traders are being transformed by a virus. People are being quickly reminded that money is not god. It is times of uncertainty when people start to fear God.

  50. 19 Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
20 Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

I like the way this last verse was written. “Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men.” Asking God to put fear into men, so that they may know that they are only men and nothing greater. This verse writes it so poetically.
Fear humbles people. Fear disappoints people. Fear can make or break a person. Fear can teach someone to grow and change. Fear can be good and make change if used in the correct manners. How will use Fear to help you in your own walk.

  51. “Make the nations afraid and let them all discover just how weak they are.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9:20‬ ‭CEV‬‬

Unfortunately, sometimes we need to be knocked down a few times to remember our place and who we are. I’m sure many if you have heard me get on to my children for doing things they know aren’t acceptable, I’m often saying “stop that, remember who you are and remember where you are.” It’s never ok to start acting a fool because you feel you know best because you better believe you’re gonna get one of those quick ear flicks I give to my children from your own heavy father. And it’s right then and there you’ll be like “Oop, forgot who j was and where I was there for just a split second!”

  52. 10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

    Several key phrases:
KNOW : YADA – lean on, perceive, understand

Only one that has put there trust in God on consistent basis will have built a track record of victories in which God has proven himself faithful. Only those that seek God do so because they KNOW something about God.

  53. 1. I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

I think David was one to know what it was to while heartedly m praise God. He was a praiser so dancing and yelling came easy to him.

Oh that I had David’s extravaganza worshipping heart. Nothing gets more done in the kingdom of God then a praiser.

  54. 1 I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.

With all our heart sing praise to him. He is the great I am, what’s there not to praise him for! In the good and bad give thanks to him always. He is a might God and will always look out for his children that follow after him!
