Psalm Chapter 14 – Chronological

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.

There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.

Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

  1. Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.
God was the protector of the “poor” who had come to him for “refuge,” and as they had “shamed the counsel of the poor” who had done this, they had real occasion for alarm. The phrase “ye have shamed” seems to mean that they had “despised” it.
The counsel – The purpose, the plan, the act – of the poor; that is, in putting their trust in the Lord. They had derided this as vain and foolish, since they maintained that there was no God Psalm 14:1. The poor – The righteous, considered as poor, or as afflicted.  it is rendered “humble.” The common rendering, however, is “poor,” but it refers properly to the righteous, with the idea that they are afflicted, needy, and in humble circumstances. The wicked had derided those who, in circumstances of poverty, depression, want, trial, had no other resource, and who had sought their comfort in God.
Because the Lord is his refuge – He has made the Lord his refuge. In his poverty, affliction, and trouble, he has come to God, and put his trust in him. This source of comfort, the doctrine of the wicked – that there “was no God” – tended to destroy. Atheism cuts off every hope of man, and leaves the wretched to despair. It would put out the last light that gleams on the earth, and cover the world with total and eternal night

  2. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

As we look at the scripture of this psalm, we have to understand the condition in which we as humans are born in. We were born in sin and shaped in iniquity. We have all sinned and fell short of the glory of God. As we are living in a time where sin is malignant and it is an epidemic. Every where we look, we can find some one caught up in the act of sin. We don’t have to look very hard to find it. As we look at the scripture we find that even as the psalmist states the topic of some sort of practical atheism in the world. As we see in verse 1- 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. I find it very hard to look at the things of this world that God created and simply make a statement of such harsh foolishness.

I can say without a doubt that God is real and the fool that can say He is not, does not know love, knowledge, or even wisdom. How else can someone state such foolishness. The only thing I can come up with in my little mind is that such a fool is simply stating this because they are wanting to justify their actions in living and participating in sin. If they make themselves believe that there is no God, then they can live life reckless and not have to answer to anyone while here on this earth. Again when the time is no more and we are gone from this earth, even the atheist will believe there is a God when they stand before him in judgement. It is simple, don’t be like the fool and discount your knowledge of who God is.

  3. In reading this Psalm, my thoughts went to it not being a matter of “If”; but, of “is” and “when”. The question isn’t “if” there is a God, for we know who Jesus IS. Deuteronomy 6:4 AMP “Hear, O Israel! The Lord IS our God, the Lord IS one [the only God]!” It isn’t a matter of “if” God protects the righteous as we read in Psalm 37:39 AMP “But the salvation of the righteous IS from the Lord; He IS their refuge and stronghold in the time of trouble.” Everything IS in the Lord’s time and in his manner as we read verse 7 AMP “Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! WHEN the Lord restores His captive people, Then Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad.” Jesus is coming soon as 1 Thessalonians 15-18 NLT says “We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living WHEN the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died.[a] For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died[b] will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. So encourage each other with these words.”

  4. Psalm 14
Starting with the New Living Translation
    1. Only fools say there is no God. They are corrupt, and there actions are evil; not one of them does good.
2.The Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race; He looks to see if anyone is truly wise; if any one seeks God.
    3. But no, all have turned away; all have have become corrupt, No one does good, not a single one!
    4. will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread and wouldn’t think of praying to the Lord.
    5. Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him.
    6. The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the Lord will protect his people.
    7. Who will come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel? When the Lord restores His people, Jacob will shout with joy,and Israel will rejoice.

Remember ( Isaiah 53:6 all of us like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him ‘Jesus” the sins of us all.) We were all unrighteous until we were taught the plan of salvation and received it with Joy. I rejoice in Jesus for those who were sent to me with the good news. We have a promise in Verse 5. God is with those who obey him. The Lord will protect his people. The Lord restores His people. The Lord is great and greatly to be praised.

  5. 4. Do the wicked have no clue about what really matters? They devour my brothers and sisters the way a man eats his dinner. They ignore the Eternal and don’t call on Him, rejecting His reality and truth.

    6. You laugh at the counsel of the poor, the needy, the troubled who put their trust in God. You try to take away their only hope, but the Eternal is a strong shelter in the heaviest storm. Voice

How accurate of a description of these crazy times!
People are proving they have no clue about what really matters – looting stores for free stuff now instead of having the store operational later when they need it for food and supplies…blocking the roads, keeping police out so they can do whatever they want instead of leaving them open for police and other first responders when they really need them…pulling down statues that “offend them” instead of learning from history and trying to move forward as a civilized nation…trying to remove God from everything instead of calling on Him, our only hope, the only one who can heal our land!

  6. Ps. 14 :1 [ amp] The [ empty- headed] fool has said in his heart , There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable deeds ; there is none that does good or right.
Rom.3:10[ amp] As it is written, None is righteous, just and truthful and upright and conscientious,
    no, not one.
Prov.4:22-23[ amp] For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.
Prov.4:23 [ amp] Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.
I don’t know how people can say there isn’t no God.!
When God made everything on this earth.
Don’t be a fool , God will restore and heal you.
Turn away from your wickedness, repent, and be baptize in Jesus name.
God is so worthy and greatly to be praise.

  7. Psalm 14

4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.

5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

  8. So in Psalm Chapter 14 we are talking about how the fool raft is corrupt and Then Jesus looked upon his chidren then they were all together then the workers of knowledge can eat bread but they are going to have fear and righteous

  9. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Remind me of a book / message that Jeff Arnold preaching titled hell is for idiots. With all of the things going on in the world, prophecies unfolding supernatural things happening it would take only the oblivious and cavalier to not see that there is something in the universe of a higher intelligence. I have spent a lot of time studying theories of evolution and the inaccuracies, there are so many things in this world that point to the supernatural going on behind it that only a fool would say there is no God. I believe wholeheartedly that it is the church’s job to not only acknowledge and live the faith but to show the supernatural to those that don’t see it.

  10. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Today they’re so many people walking around as fools, not wanting to know that there is a GOD and His Name is JESUS. They go as far as saying that the Holy Bible is a forkloric piece of literature, a myth, make believe …. NOT ME!!! I BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS GOD ALL MIGHTY WRAPPED IN FLESH AND THE BIBLE IS HIS LIVING, BREATHING WORD!!! It is time for the church to ARISE and say it loud and proud!!! NOW IS THE TIME, TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!!!!

  11. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus

1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Wow! Think about it. The fool has said in his heart there is no God. So basically a fool is an atheist. Think about that for a moment. Our whole education system in America is built on atheism. Our science books inform us that something came from nothing (big bang theory) and then our math books tell us that you can not get anything from nothing (zero times zero equals zero). No wonder our kids are so confused. We are raising kids and sending them to schools that teach them everything contrary to the Word of God.

I found an interesting article on the internet:

They say there are no atheists in the foxhole. Maybe there are a few, but there are fewer when death is certain. And none once the final curtain falls.

God’s Word declares, “The fool hath said in his heart ‘there is no God’” (Psalm 14).

For three decades, until his death in 1953, Josef Stalin was the mass-murdering atheist dictator of Soviet Russia.

    He was also a fool.

In his 1994 book, Can Man Live Without God, famed Christian apologist Ravi Zacharias recounts a story he heard firsthand from British Journalist Malcom Muggeridge “that stirred [him] then and still does even yet.”

Muggeridge had collaborated with Svetlana Stalin, Josef Stalin’s daughter, on a BBC documentary about her God-hating father. She recounted his last act of defiant rebellion against the Creator: “As Stalin lay dying, plagued with terrifying hallucinations, he suddenly sat halfway up in bed, clenched his fist toward the heavens once more, fell back upon his pillow, and was dead.”

“His one last gesture,” observed Zacharias, “was a clenched fist toward God, his heart as cold and hard as steel.”

Thankfully most atheists are not monsters like Stalin. Many are well-behaved citizens in good standing, some quite charming and even thoughtful. At the same time, in my experience with atheists, I’ve encountered more than once an inexplicable, incongruent and visceral hatred for the very God they imagine does not exist.

The apostle Paul long ago explained how this could be. Regardless of whatever they may tell themselves and others, the truth of God’s existence “is plain to them” because “his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse” (Romans 1:19-20).

    Yet excuses they make.

Psalm 19:1 likewise observes: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”

The manifest intentionality and fine-tuning of all creation reveals design of breathtaking complexity. The Creator is of incalculable intelligence and infinite splendor. As I see it, atheism provides a case study in willful suspension of disbelief.

Wouldn’t the atheist “suspend belief”? you might ask.

No, the phrase is properly “suspension of disbelief.” It is defined as “a willingness to suspend one’s critical faculties and believe the unbelievable; sacrifice of realism and logic for the sake of enjoyment.”

In the case of the atheist, the unbelievable notion they choose not to disbelieve is that somehow everything came from nothing, that God does not exist, even as knowledge of His being is indelibly written on every human heart and proved by all He has made.

Be they theist, atheist or anti-theist, on this nearly all scientists agree: In the beginning the universe was not. There was no time, space or matter. There wasn’t even emptiness, only nothingness. Then: bang! Everything. Nonexistence became existence. Nothing became, in an instant, something and our inconceivably vast and finely tuned universe governed by the laws and constants of physics and chemistry flowered into existence.

    The cosmos was not.

    And then it was.

Writing in The Wall Street Journal, Eric Metaxas notes:

The fine-tuning necessary for life to exist on a planet is nothing compared with the fine-tuning required for the universe to exist at all. For example, astrophysicists now know that the values of the four fundamental forces — gravity, the electromagnetic force, and the ‘strong’ and ‘weak’ nuclear forces — were determined less than one-millionth of a second after the big bang. Alter any one value and the universe could not exist. For instance, if the ratio between the nuclear strong force and the electromagnetic force had been off by the tiniest fraction of the tiniest fraction — by even one part in 100,000,000,000,000,000 — then no stars could have ever formed at all. Feel free to gulp. … It would be like tossing a coin and having it come up heads 10 quintillion times in a row. Really?
Secular materialists claim that we can’t attribute fine tuning to a creative intelligence — that such explanation is a “God of the gaps” explanation and, therefore, must be banished from the realm of scientific inquiry. They demand that anything beyond the known natural is off-limits. Atheists attribute all of existence to, well, nothing. It just kind of happened. Genesis 1:1 of the materialist bible might read: “In the beginning nothing created the heavens and the earth.” Even in the material world, that’s just plain silly. Nothing plus nothing equals something? Zero times zero equals everything?

Their fallback is to suggest that, against the evidence of cosmology, our universe has yo-yo’d in and out of existence for eternity past or something. Or that, wait! There are gazillions of unseen universes, and ours is one of the fine-tuned ones, and … quantum randomness or something to get things started! Yeah!

And yet despite all these smoke and mirrors, the evidence goes right on pointing strongly to the conclusion that the cosmos could not have existed for eternity past, that it is burning up, winding down as entropy does its slow work, and no slowing of the cosmic expansion and any subsequent collapse (if any such reversal is even in the cards) can reverse the inexorable work of the second law of thermodynamics.

And so where does this leave us? Cosmology itself suggests that there was a non-natural time and place before natural time and space. That which preceded the natural was, necessarily, “beyond the natural” and, therefore, was, is and forever shall be “supernatural.”

    Reader, meet God.

In short: the Big Bang blows atheism sky high.

Fred Hoyle is the atheist astronomer who coined the term “Big Bang.” He once confessed that his atheism was “greatly shaken” by the undisputed scientific evidence supporting suggesting that the universe had a beginning and was fine-tuned. He said that “a common-sense interpretation of the facts suggests that a super-intellect has monkeyed with the physics, as well as with chemistry and biology.”

Albert Einstein was not a committed theist. He wavered and made conflicting remarks about God. But he is often dishonestly characterized as having been an atheist. In fact, he described God-denial as foolishness, and once said, “The fanatical atheists are like slaves who are still feeling the weight of their chains which they have thrown off after hard struggle. They are creatures who – in their grudge against traditional religion as the ‘opium of the masses’ – cannot hear the music of the spheres.”

“I’m not an atheist,” added Einstein. “The problem involved is too vast for our limited minds. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn’t know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God. We see the universe marvelously arranged and obeying certain laws but only dimly understand these laws.”

Illustrious NASA scientist (and agnostic) Dr. Robert Jastrow (1925-2008) put it this way: “For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountain of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.”

Yes, with time and chance, even science may eventually catch up to God’s Word.

  12. Psalms 14
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

How can someone say there is no God? I know He lives I know He cares Oh that we will continue to know Him and share His love with the world.

My mind goes to a story of a professor in college. His expertise was to prove to his class there was no God.
Here is the story . Once you have have read it ask yourself the question Will I live Jesus to Give Jesus ?

    Copy & Pasted
“This is a true story of something that happened just a few years ago at USC. There was a professor of philosophy there who was a deeply committed atheist. His primary goal for one required class was to spend the entire semester attempting to prove that God couldn’t exist. His students were always afraid to argue with him because of his impeccable logic. For twenty years, he had taught this class and no one had ever had the courage to go against him. Sure, some had argued in class at times, but no one had ever ‘really gone against him’ (you’ll see what I mean later).Nobody would go against him because he had a reputation. At the end of every semester, on the last day, he would say to his class of 300 students, “If there anyone here who still believes in Jesus, stand up!” In twenty years, no one had ever stood up. They knew what he was going to do next. He would say, “because anyone who does believe in God is a fool. If God existed, he could stop this piece of chalk from hitting the ground and breaking. Such a simple task to prove that he is God, and yet he can’t do it.” And every year, he would drop the chalk onto the tile floor of the classroom and it would shatter into a hundred pieces. The students could do nothing but stop and stare. Most of the students were convinced that God couldn’t exist. Certainly, a number of Christians had slipped through, but for 20 years, they had been too afraid to stand up.

Well, a few years ago, there was a freshman who happened to get enrolled in the class. He was a Christian, and had heard the stories about this professor. He had to take the class because it was one of the required classes for his major and he was afraid. But for 3 months that semester, he prayed every morning that he would have the courage to stand up no matter what the professor said or what the class thought. Nothing they said or did could ever shatter his faith, he hoped.

Finally the day came. The professor said, “If there is anyone here who still believes in God, stand up!” The professor and the class of 300 people looked at him, shocked, as he stood up at the back of the classroom. The professor shouted, “You FOOL!! If God existed, he could keep this piece of chalk from breaking when it hit the ground!” He proceeded to drop the chalk, but as he did, it slipped out of his fingers, off his shirt cuff, onto the pleats of his pants, down his leg, and off his shoe. As it hit the ground, it simply rolled away, unbroken.

The professor’s jaw dropped as he stared at the chalk. He looked up at the young man and then ran out of the lecture hall. The young man who had stood up proceeded to walk to the front of the room and share his faith in Jesus for the next half hour. 300 students stayed and listened as he told of God’s love for them and of his power through Jesus.”

Oh the boldness of this young man to prove there is a God …..how can we share to this world ? There is a God .

  13. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

We all have sinned and were born in sin. Without this basic belief people do not see the need of a savior, of God in their lives. Unsaved people live by their own standards and call it good but we know the only thing righteous in us is the Holy Ghost. And if the righteous are scarcely saved, where do the ungodly and sinner stand with God? We need the latter rain to fall in great abundance to turn these hard hearts to a loving God. And we must be the example and be ready to teach the lost how to find him-be born again. Send the Holy Ghost and Fire to the Region of Ft Worth and into the N Tx District! Let it fall like rain in Jesus name!

  14. Who will come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel? When the Lord restores his people, Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice.
    Psalms 14:7 NLT

We keep referring to these times as uncertain and rightfully so, but if we will just shift our attention 2 where God’s heartbeat is that’s where there is joy unspeakable and peace that surpasses all understanding. That’s where he gives counsel and instruction. The media is an uproar and blowing things way out of proportion but think about this. We as children of God are filled with His Spirit. If our ears are hearts our spirits are tuned with His would he not be warning us and guiding us as to the steps we need to take? Instead of listening to the voices and influences around us let’s dive deeper into prayer to get our instruction and our counsel. Jesus name

  15. 19:1 the fool hath said in his heart
“ there is no God”they are corrupt, the have done

    Praying without sending…!!!!
    Praying, praying, praying…..
Maybe, just maybe, they will surrender to God.
Praying for this generation, specially the youth. that they may come to the knowledge of a God.
They will repent and quit being fools, and start wanting to be wise.🙏

  16. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    THE FOOL

1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

There are few people that will openly speak and say “There is no GOD”. This type of comment would definitely suggest an agnostic or atheist ideology. However the Psalmist words the phrase with an added level of engagement. Example being, it could say, “The fool says, There is no GOD” but we read “The fool says in his heart, There is no GOD”.

What is the difference. I believe the difference is one is says it with the mouth, but the scripture says it with the life.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

    What is the FOOL?

FOOL – Hebrew – 5036. nabal, naw-bawl´; from 5034; stupid; wicked (especially impious):—fool(-ish, -ish man, -ish woman), vile person.
5034 nabel, naw-bale´; a primitive root; to wilt; generally, to fall away, fail, faint; figuratively, to be foolish or (morally) wicked; causatively, to despise, disgrace:—disgrace, dishounour, lightly esteem, fade (away, -ing), fall (down, -ling, off), do foolishly, come to nought, x surely, make vile, wither.

The word FOOL indicates a lifestyle or actions of life that would “ignore” the commands, values and principals of the WORD of GOD.

    What is the HEART?

HEART – Hebrew – 3820. leb, labe; a form of 3824; the heart; also used (figuratively) very widely for the feelings, the will and even the intellect; likewise for the centre of anything:—+ care for, comfortably, consent, x considered, courag(-eous), friend(-ly), ((broken-), (hard-), (merry-), (stiff-), (stout-), double) heart((-ed)), x heed, x I, kindly, midst, mind(-ed), x regard((-ed)), x themselves, x unawares, understanding, x well, willingly, wisdom.

3824. lebab, lay-bawb´; from 3823; the heart (as the most interior organ); used also like 3820:—+ bethink themselves, breast, comfortably, courage, ((faint), (tender-)heart((-ed)), midst, mind, x unawares, understanding.

The word HEART indicates the will, desire and core belief of the person. Therefore, the Psalmist warns in this verse that our lives could communicate to GOD that HE is not real, there or eternal. This urges me to evaluate my lifestyle and actions to ensure that my LIFE testifies of HIS goodness, glory and grace.

    My prayer daily:

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

  17. 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

God is looking for those who are righteously seeking Him, who stand in awe and fear of who He is. Our God is an awesome God and there is no one like Him. I’m grateful that there is no other name that I know!

  18. Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

We must show God’s love to those who do not believe in Him and share the message of faith in Jesus Christ, praying for God to reveal himself to everyone, praying God will deliver the fool.

Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and earth. Go ye therefore , and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

    We must reach the Lost!

  19. “The LORD has looked down from heaven upon the children of men To see if there are any who understand (act wisely), Who [truly] seek after God, [longing for His wisdom and guidance].”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

For all who are thirsty come and drink. For all who are hungry come and eat. We serve a God who is searching for someone who is seeking Him. He longs for that relationship and intimacy with us. Let us truly seek after God today!

  20. 1 “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Of course they saying that but as soon as they hit their finger with a hammer the first thing they call upon Is Jesus.

    A.l.m.a.s.

  21. “Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread and wouldn’t think of praying to the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Will they ever learn?

I’ve heard the quote many times “Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.“ it can also be said like “Those who do not remember their past are bound to repeat their mistakes.“

We are not to dwell and live in our past mistakes, but there has to be a balance to remember where we came from in order to learn from it and never make those mistakes again.

  22. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.

We are truly living in a day where the gospel is not preached and people do not believe that God exist. Like never before we must intercede with prayer for all pastors who preach one God one salvation and one baptism. The Youth of today are trying to find answers for their problems that can only be found in Jesus.

  23. AMP – 2 The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the children of men
To see if there are any who understand (act wisely),
Who [truly] seek after God, [longing for His wisdom and guidance].

God is seeking such to worship Him in spirit and truth. He is seeking those that seek out Him, seek to know Him, seek to follow Him, seek to be in His presence.
His presence is where we find joy, peace, hope, restoration and our mindset for the day.

    Nothing Else – Cody Caries
I’m caught up in Your presence
I just want to sit here at Your feet
I’m caught up in this holy moment
    I never want to leave

Oh, I’m not here for blessings
Jesus, You don’t owe me anything
More than anything that You can do
    I just want You

I’m sorry when I’ve just gone through the motions
I’m sorry when I just sang another song
Take me back to where we started
I open up my heart to You
I’m sorry when I’ve come with my agenda
I’m sorry when I forgot that You’re enough
Take me back to where we started
I open up my heart to You

I’m caught up in Your presence
I just want to sit here at Your feet
I’m caught up in this holy moment
    I never want to leave

Oh, I’m not here for blessings
Jesus, You don’t owe me anything
More than anything that You can do
    I just want You

    I just want You
    Nothing else, nothing else
    Nothing else will do
    I just want You
    Nothing else, nothing else
    Nothing else will do

  24. 6The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the Lord will protect his people NLT

    “BUT the LORD”

There’s a “but” in every situation, however the most impacting is when Jesus is involved!

  25. Psalms 14:1, “THE fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”

Only a fool would say in his heart, There is no God.
All we have to do is stop and look around us at creation and realize there is a God.
St. John 1:3 says, “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
Rev. 4:11 says, “… for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
I can find a sunny place in the yard and take a seed and plant it in the dirt and water it and watch it grow, BUT I did not make the sun, nor the seed, nor the dirt, nor the water. GOD DID!!
There Is A God, and He is the creator of all things, and His name is JESUS!!

  26. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God’s grace and mercy is truly a gift. This chapter speaks volumes. He still gives chances, even when He is foolishly den

  27. denied.

Another thing we can take away from this chapter is how not to be a fool. A fool doesn’t believe in God and doesn’t call on His name. I pray we believe in Him for all of our days and call on ahis name ALL the day!!!

  28. Proverbs 29

    🤔

Simply put the heading of this chapter in the app says: If You Can’t See What God’s Doing.

I think that pretty much sums it up. Don’t be one of those people who can’t see what God’s doing.

This chapter describes the self destruction of those who somehow think their actions are stronger than God’s plans. When God places things into motion, if we grab hold of that and step into that spiritual vehicle he has for us we will inevitably monster truck over everything and make it where he wants us to. Greatness for His glory. Makes me feel pretty good.

  29. Psalms 14

Those who are a fool at heart say that there is no Lord God Almighty!! They are evil and do evil; not one of them does good.

The Lord God Almighty studied us humans to see if any of us are wise and watch for His Will.

They have all sinned and are evil; not even one has done good.

Are they unknowledgeable, the sinners who devour my people as they are worshiping, and they do not know to seek the support of the Lord God Almighty?

In the Sanctuary the sinners shall be greatly afraid, for the Lord God Almighty is present with the righteous in the Congregation.

You, Lord God Almighty, will confuse the plans of Satan, and You will be Our refuge.

Pray that the deliverance of the Congregation would come from the Lord Good Almighty! When the Lord God Almighty Blesses the ways and means of His people, all the Congregation will rejoice and be glad!

    In Jesus Name,

    Amen and Amen.

  30. In this world today there are so many who are lost. God still loves his children. We must seek Him out. “As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.” Psalm 18:30 niv
    Seek and ye shall find!

  31. are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
There is a measure of faith in everyone because the Lord has created an inner witness.
One must make a conscious effort to conclude that God does not exist. The Lord looks for those that seek more light and then more light is given.

  32. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

    Psalms 46:1
God is our refuge and strength a very present help in the time of trouble.

There is so much corruption and filthiness in our world today, they don’t believe in God and they don’t want us to but, we need to hold on to what his word is that he will never leave us or forsake us, and he is our refuge and our strength.

  33. v1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works,, there is none that doeth good.

Jesus is alive and well! For forty days ,Jesus showed Himself alive by many infallible proofs speaking many things to the kingdom of God….
    Acts 1 :1 -3

  34. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

So many people today disregard the signs and works of God and they have no clue what they’re doing to themselves by missing out and disregarding the things of God, but I believe if they just turn their corrupted hearts towards God that they would see the truth and find peace and the answer to what they may be looking for.

  35. There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

  36. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

A fool’s heart is a reflection of his life. When we live a life of foolishness. We tend to reap the fruit of our labor. Let us live a life separated from the foolishness of this life time in hope that we make heaven our home

  37. The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the Lord will protect his people.
    Psalms 14:6 NLT

No matter how many times the enemy messes up our plans and tries to discourage us. We must remain faithful and trust in God because He has everything in control. He will always protect us even if our plans are destroyed, He will use the bad and turn it to good.

  38. Follow Jesus

3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Those that declare there is no God will find their reward. I’m reminded of the song that says Jesus is real I know the Lord is real to me. The people of God should not be ashamed to tell others who God is. Is our duty to spread the word of God.

We don’t want to be among those who are against the what God wants to do. We want to be on the winning side. Only way will be who God has called us to be is by fallling his word. Our God is still a consuming fire. The outcome of our battle with the enemy is we when because God is on our side.

  39. This chapter just reminded me that God is always looking down on us as his people and he loves us dearly!

  40. In the Bible when something or someone is referenced to being, “foolish,” this means that this person is “someone who disregards God’s word.” He refers to them as corrupt and does work that is hateful when it says “abominable.” David is …

  41. “They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“You were running [the race] well; who has interfered and prevented you from obeying the truth? This [deceptive] persuasion is not from Him who called you [to freedom in Christ].”
    ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:7-8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We are living in the days that people have come to living life as they want and desires are running deep within the heart of man. No submission to the man of GOD, to the word of GOD, to the laws of our land. Truly these are the times we are living in. It’s a dog eat dog type of world. This leads to a spiritual death for all involved. Sin stinks(filth). And our way of living in obedience will always bring a sweet aroma unto the LORD ❤️ Jesus forgive me if my sins, the sins of our nation and our world.

  42. 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

There is a God, and he takes notice of the children of men, and He knows what is done by them. The Lord knows us by name and our thoughts. He knows if we seek Him of not, let us seek Him all the time.

  43. 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Its sad but true we are living among a generation that doesn’t know God. And we live in a world that thinks its OK to be this way. Thank you Jesus for a voice that can lead others to truth. Thabk you Jesus for a church that built its foundation on it. Thank you JESUS! Amen!

  44. “Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him. The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the Lord will protect his people.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:5-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/psa.14.5-6.nlt

We should just worship the Lord and stay with him. The Lord will judge the wicked and punish them.

  45. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If you say that there is no God then you in God’s eyes are considered a fool and are corrupt. This is saying that you need to evaluate your life, hasn’t God done so much for you, has he not done great works in your life?

  46. 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God

I love those who love me,
and those who seek me find me. Proverbs 8:17

If we seek Him we will find Him, in everything, when circumstances aren’t what we would like them to be, seek Him and He will comfort us, He’s always there, waiting to see what we do in negative situations, trust His process and seek Him!!

  47. 2 The Lord looks down from heaven(C)
    on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,(D)
    any who seek God.

Are we on his list? Do our actions speak louder than our voice? Don’t let this world cause you to doubt in the one who created EVERYTHING. Let’s be those that God sees and that will use our faith to move mountains in Jesus Name!!!

  48. “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Just like in the natural we don’t allow anyone to talk down on our parents or family, we should be like this when it comes to god. Don’t allow others to just down your god, the one who made the heavens and the earth. The one who is the alpha omega beginning and the end. Be a witness!! Speak up and be bold about god! God is always watching! He sees all and hears all. When we find ourselves among non-believers are we just going to stay quiet or are we going to speak the word to them.

  49. 2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

God is looking for any hungry soul that will follow and seek after him. When we fill up our minds and hearts with God he will change our life style for his glory. Once we lose sight of him everything changes for we are nothing without him.

  50. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Many people today don’t believe there is a God many people think that we’re foolish to believe that there is. But they are being blinded as they speak because there is a God, he has done so many things in each of our lives even things we don’t know. But as the children of God we need to speak up and show them that there is a mighty God who saves and forgives and protects and loves! We can not let people bring us down for believing in what is real we need to push those comments aside and spread the word of the Lord and what he has done for us! Because in those groups of people were talking to there will be many willing to change there lives and go to the Lords.

  51. Psalm 14:1-3
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works,
there is none that doeth good.
The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men,
to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God..
They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy:
there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

It saddens me that society has denounced and removed anything that symbols Christianity, faith and patriotism. There is a lost and dying world, how can we, who are filled with the Holy Ghost, be content to not sharing to those we come in contact with that are lost and searching for something to fix their lives!

I pray that God will allow the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and share the Word with others.

  52. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
    Psalms 14:2 KJV

It’s not that He is hiding. Its not that he is far away. It is that we must understand our desperate need of Him. Without God, we are just what verse 1 says; a fool, ignorant without understanding. We were created by Him and for Him. Without God we are lifeless. The key to finding more of life is to seek God. For he has come that we may have life and have it more abundantly. Actively, be on a quest, a pursuit, a search for God and seek to know Him, then you will understand, for He is the Way, Truth, and Life.

  53. You’ll never find an atheist in a foxhole.

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My Dad would say this to me growing up. He went into Vietnam an atheist but came out a believer. He never really told stories of the fight, he told stories of the men that he fought along side. He would tell of those who had strong faith and that kept them going. He told of those that were empty inside and were just fighting against the wind. He went into nam a broken mislead young man that thought he was an atheist because he had seen so much wrong and hurt in the world, only to find out that those who believed had some of the same stories. It is foolish to blame God for our misfortunes in life, it is wise to give Him thanks for all the mess he’s pulled us out of.

  54. 6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his refuge.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

It is a sad statement but yet so true. “. . . when the Lord bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice. . .” A lot of times we do truly worship and serve God the way we should unless we are in captivity. In other words, when we are not at the top, we come against a struggle, when we are in spiritual, physical, or financial battles, when any of this happens all of a sudden we want to pray, fast, and serve more than we ever normally do. Again, why God would be happy to bring back captivity over His people, because that is when they truly try to serve unconditionally. Lord, help us to see when we fall short and make this mistake.

  55. “The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

You know how you call your spouse’s cell phone when you send them to the store for a few quick items but forgot one thing so you need to tell them but they don’t answer? Then you’re like “well I oh for a phone bill but they don’t know gods to use it! That’s how I imagine God faces the same situation with you and I. He just wants one person to sneer his call so he can move forward. Don’t keep him wondering if there is a righteous person whenever he’s looking for somebody that just want to connect with him.

  56. “They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:3-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Those who think they are doing good by putting others in their lace need to take another look at this verse. Right after it says there is not one who is good it explains why. Eating up the people as bread. Is it any worded the saying is “ you chewed them out?” It comes from the Bible is hen it says you are eating the other people. Also it says that the workers of iniquity gave no knowledge. Workers of iniquity should know better. They should have been taught, but they have lost all their learnings.

  57. 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

This fool needs prayer too. If a fool says in his heart there’s no God Then that fool needs prayer too. God hates the sin but loves the sinner, Minneapolis where these riots started was crazy then a man of God had it in his heart to pray with apostolic authority I wonder how many of those were fools that actually were in the line of fire of prayer. God still moved in their lives and people are being baptized in his name right now

  58. 4 Will those who do evil never learn?
They eat up my people like bread
and wouldn’t think of praying to the LORD.

The unrighteousness don’t want to know more about God. They are in a comfort zone living in the world. No one likes change until they see if it will work out. Only during times of trouble will someone change their life style. We can only continue to reach the lost.

  59. “The Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one!”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:2-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt: When God looks, this is what He finds. He finds that man has turned away from God, and has therefore become corrupt.

  60. “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We are born with both the will and the capacity to do evil, no one has to teach a child to do bad things.
The path of least resistance usually leads us to do bad, not to do good.
It is often easier to encourage others to do bad things, instead of good things.
Many of our good deeds are tinged with selfish, bad motives.

This is no exaggeration, since every sin implies the effrontery of supposedly knowing better than God, and the corruption of loving evil more than good.

“For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬
