Psalm Chapter 24 – Chronological

The earth is the Lord‘s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Who is this King of glory? The Lordstrong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Even with how hectic things are and unsure they seem to be. With all the chaos that seems to be out there in the world we have to remember that we still belong to the Lord and we still have a promise that he has given us. At the end of the day yes, when all things are said and done, the Earth is still the Lord’s and everything inside of it. The king of glory still reigns on the throne.

  5. 1 The earth is the Lord‘s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

  10. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    INVITING THE KING

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lordstrong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

There must be a supernatural move of GOD when we lift our head. Our focus and attention is imperative to clean hands and a pure heart before GOD. The psalmist first identifies the King of GOD in verse 1. The earth is the Lords and everything in it, natural resources, people, plants, animals, and everything made from them.

When we identify GOD is this position we place HIM on the throne of our life and elevate HIM to HIS proper position of authority and worthiness. We must look up to see HIM and HIS glory.

Therefore when our head is lifted up our hope is communicated and our worship is identified. Then we invite the King of Glory to come in. GOD never intended for the believers head to hang low or be downcast.

Consider the contrast of the conditions for the psalmist.

Psalm 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Psalm 40:12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart faileth me.

When GOD is FIRST of the day the psalmist was “looking up” to HIM.

    BUT

When fear, trouble and sin were the focus, he could not look up.

Where is and what is your focus?

Look UP and INVITE the King of Glory, Strong and Mighty, Mighty in Battle and HE will come in.

    PROOF

Mark 8:25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

The blind man whom JESUS healed was completed when he was willing to LOOK UP.

    HOPE

Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Considering where we are today and the news of the EndTime every believer should take HOPE in our eternal future and make sure our election and calling with JESUS and LOOK UP.

    I am LOOKING UP today!

    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iGive

  11. 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

The question is asked- who shall ascend in to the hill of the Lord? Those that fear the Lord, those that have a clean and pure heart, and those that show forth praise and worship to the most high God. When we seek the Lord with all our heart, soul, and might, we have the opportunity to come face to face with his glory and divine presence. That is a place that we should all long for. There is no where on this earth that we can find the Lord except at an altar of prayer and sacrifice. Once we approach the throne of grace and mercy in the time of need, we cry out unto the Lord and He will hear us.

Make no mistakes that there comes a time where we have to give our all to the kingdom of God to see our blessings that is sent from the Lord. We have to prioritize the things in our lives that move God to be the first and most important priority. Therefore that when we approach God’s holy hill, we can go up because we have cleansed ourselves from all sin and shame. Yes we are not perfect but we can strive to be clean and honest with sincerity. Living Jesus to be great examples to be able to give Jesus in this day and hour we are living.

  12. AMP 3 – Who may ascend onto the [c]mountain of the Lord?
And who may stand in His holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to what is false,
    Nor has sworn [oaths] deceitfully.

Our heart is where all the issues of life flow from and we must ensure that we keep our heart pure before the Lord. The heart purifies everything feeling that we have and if it is tainted by the world, then we will have issues.

Luke 6:44 – O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

  14. Psalm 24

1 The earth is the Lord‘s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lordstrong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

    • So In Psalms Chapter 24 verses 1-10 it’s talking about how Jesus is the fullness of this world and how he founded the seas and the floods and how he can ascend into his holy place then he did not have clean hands so he could not lift up his soul then Jesus should receive a blessing then the generation should seek Jacob then Jesus should walk in after they have lifted their heads and opened there gates then Jesus king of glory said lift your heads and open your gates and doors for Jesus to come in AMEN

  15. 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Look up and open up to the Lord and he is able to come in. We must reach out and open our hearts making room for Him. He looks for open hearts and a way to move in our lives and the best way to receive is to ask, expect and be thankful. He is able! He is the Lord strong and mighty!

  16. 1 “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”
‭2 “For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.”

Can you hear me now do you have any questions. Everything belongs to him everything means everything.

  17. My Lord strong and mighty in battle!!!! His name is Jesus!!!! Oh to be in His presence, to enjoy His brilliant Glory!!! My God and my Saviour no one else will do!!! He is ALL I need!! He is the King of Glory our Lord strong and Mighty Jesus is His Name hallelujah!!!!!

  18. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lordstrong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
The Lord fight our battles. Now I see where this song verse is from.

  19. It is such a simple reminder for it to be said that the earth is the Lords and everything upon it. The scripture could have easily proclaimed that all the universe is at the command of the Lord but maybe in this moment you need to know that it is just your world that surely matters to God. I know that as I seek God’s answers more and more it is important to me when I realize my individual needs are important.

  20. iLove the King of Glory
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

God is awesome, why should we fear when we have such a powerful God. Well, the issue is normally with us. We fear because we fall away from Him. Perfect Love casts away fear. When we are in His Presence, he removes all fear, but when we separate ourselves from him is when the fear comes rushing in. This is what happened to Peter as he walked on the water. He looked at the waves and immediately started to sink. We must keep our eyes on Jesus.

  21. 5They will receive the LORD’s blessing
and have a right relationship with God their savior.

Thru righteousness, obedience and serving you’ll receive the blessings of God. Thru these acts you’re relationship with God will endure a lifetime.

  22. Thank Jesus today, another day thinking about his Majesty

O Lord , the God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, let your glorious justice shine forth! Arise, O Judge of the earth. Give the proud what they deserve. How long, O Lord ? How long will the wicked be allowed to gloat? How long will they speak with arrogance? How long will these evil people boast? They crush your people, Lord , hurting those you claim as your own. They kill widows and foreigners and murder orphans. “The Lord isn’t looking,” they say, “and besides, the God of Israel doesn’t care.”
    Psalms 94:1‭-‬7

  23. Psalms 24:8
8Who is the King of glory?
    The lord, strong and mighty;
       the lord, invincible in battle.

The Lord our God is strong and mighty
The Lord our God is mighty in battle
Sound the alarm on the Holy mountain
    He is wonderful and powerful
    He’s mighty in His power
There is a battle against you and me
But not a war that eyes can see
We wrestle not against flesh and blood
    But against power and principalities
So we must take up our spiritual weapons
And we must seek the refuge of God
For He is a strong and mighty tower
The devil is defeated today by His power
Who is the King of glory
    The Lord strong and mighty
He is the King of glory
He is the Lord, He is the Lord

  24. Psalms 24:7 (NLT), “Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of Glory enter.”

    “Open Up”
In Revelation 3:20, Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

JESUS (the King of Glory) stands at the door of our heart and knocks, and the only way JESUS (the King of Glory) will enter in, is if we “Open Up” our heart and let Him in.

So “Open Up” and let JESUS (the King of Glory) enter in!!

  25. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

We should always remember that it’s through the salvation that god shed his blood for on the cross that we are truly saved.

  26. “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulnes thereof the world; and they that dwell therein.” Psalms 24:1
God is awesome and everything we have is because of Him. Through righteousness and truth we can receive the Blessings of God.

  27. Verse 8 ERV says “Who is the glorious King? He is the Lord, the powerful soldier. He is the Lord, the war hero.” I am really missing my Sovereign Soldiers and this verse made me think of one of the songs that we use to sing in GForce “Superhero”:

He’s the one who makes the sun shine
He’s the one who that puts the moon in the sky
He’s the one who hung the stars
    One by one

He’s the one who makes the birds sing
He’s the one who makes you dream so high
He’s the one who makes me smile
    Day by day

    Jesus you’re my superhero
You’re my star, my best friend
    Jesus you’re my superhero
You’re my star, my best friend…

  28. The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it. God rules everything he is the king of kings and Jesus is the best man on this earth 🌍

  29. 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

A few verses ago the psalmist sounded down and in this verse we find the remedy of his situation. Lift up your heads and allow the king of glory to come in. When our attention and focus is on Jesus it is easier for us to stop magnifying our situation. When we are so busy magnifying Him the problems and stresses of life seem small. Today be encouraged and lift up your heads unto Jesus. He is the answer to all of life’s situations.

  30. 7Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

A winner doesn’t walk around with their head held down. A head that’s lifted shows confidence and boldness. We are to be bold in Christ and never let the things in life bring us down and keep us down.

Our God is the one who can give us the boldness we need to face the enemy. It is by his power that we are more than conquerors. He is the light that guides us and the teacher that teaches us.

  31. 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul u to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

There is no other God like our God, he is our one and only. He created each of us to grow and speak like him, we should not speak of lies but of truth, we should not speak about false gods but we need to speak of Jesus. We should have pure hearts and a pure mind when living for our God. The Lord has each of ours blessings to the ones that obey him and follow his path and to those who live right.

  32. Psalm 24:7–10

Selah.

I am gonna praise Him for I know the battle belongs to Him!!!!

  33. Who may climb the mountain of the Lord ? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. They will receive the Lord ’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior.
    Psalms 24:3‭-‬5 NLT

To get to top with Jesus tjere has to be purity of spirit and heart. One that that has given himself to God and no one else. Only then will we recieve His blessings. Which is eternal life.

  34. 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

The earth is the Lord’s. We should not be afraid of anything for it all belongs to God. Know that your Lord and savior is the one that has all ownership of this world. What we do need to work at is having clean hands and a pure heart. May we surrender our lives and heart to Jesus that he may transform us and cleanse us from within.

  35. “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭24:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We are not our own but we are the Lord’s! He has put His claim on our lives already, we just need to submit to it. I thank God for claiming me, letting me know I am His! I pray we not only recognize that we are His by that He is also ours. He is our God who film fights for us and is victorious in battle!

  36. 10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

This King of glory is Jesus Christ! He is the only true God.

  37. 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Selah.

Twice the writer tells us to lift our heads.

People are watching us. They want to see how much we really believe what we tell the we believe. If we walk around with our heads hung low, depressed, then why would they want to serve a God that allows us to think he failed or is defeated so we walk around depressed?

We must remember, Jesus is King if Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus is mightier than anything we might face. If we don’t show that we believe this, they won’t want to believe in the same God we do.

  38. “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭24:7-8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Stop looking like you are defeated. God has it all in control. It may not seem as it should but don’t allow this to cause you to look down on yourself. It’s in gods hands. In the midst of it it all hold you head up high. There is this song by Yolanda Adams called “The battles is not yours” and she simply says “hold your head up high don’t you cry for it’s the lords”. All our battles belong to him. If you gonna pray don’t worry and if you gonna worry don’t pray. Keep your praise and worship unto him. That’s all you need.

  39. “Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭24:8-9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When we are faced with trials and troubles it’s important to remember who God is and, not k my who he is but also what he is. When we allow ourselves to never forget those two things it’s easy to keep your head up because you know you’re on the winning side. But even in the event that it seems all Hope is gone we still need to keep our head high because it’s the only way we can allow him into our circumstance and situation.

  40. 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Do you want to be close to God? To ascend to Jesus and stand in His holy presence?? You must have clean hands, with absolutely no blood on your hands. You must have a pure heart, asking for forgiveness and staying clean and right go a long way. And then of course not being prideful, figuratively and literally. One that is not quick to lie and deceive.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

Are we “that” generation or will we wait and let the generation after us step up and seek His face and then the blessings t
    I follow?

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lordstrong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Two wonderful praise songs on two verses.

  41. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lordstrong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

King of Glory! Strong and Mighty in battle. What a mighty God we serve! What a blessing it is to serve the King of glory. There no one like Him! Glory to God.

  42. “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭24:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If you lift your head and look up, the king of glory will come in.

  43. Psa 24:8  Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Psa 24:9  Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Psa 24:10  Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Jesus is the King of Glory. I’m thankful to know I can always count of Jesus in any battle I may be facing I can always look to the king of Kings and the Lord of Lords and know he will take me right where I need to be. He really is the King of all Kings
