Psalm Chapter 68 – Chronological

Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:

The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.

10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.

11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

12 Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.

13 Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.

14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.

15 The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.

16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the Lord will dwell in it for ever.

17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them.

19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

20 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death.

21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.

22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:

23 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.

24 They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.

25 The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.

26 Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.

27 There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.

28 Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.

29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.

30 Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.

31 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.

32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:

33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.

34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

  1. 32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:
33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.
34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.
35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

I can only picture what was going through David’s mind as he was lifting up the Lord and praising him. At the time of writing this Psalm, everything in David’s life was not picture perfect, things were not perfectly lined up so his emotional state may not have been in a place to think of all these things except by entering into the presence of the Lord despite whatever issues in his life were. If only we could emulate the same lifestyle, if we could reach out to the king of glory and lift his name up in a manner that reflects his nature and not our emotion on him during that time.

  2. 19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

The benefits of living for God aren’t a one-time, ‘welcome aboard’ gift bag; they are daily and life-long. There’s no way we could thank Him for or even know what all He has done for us.

    Psalm 34:1
I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

  3. Ps. 68:19 [ amp] Blessed be the Lord, Who bears our burdens and carries us day by day , even the Gid Who is our salvation! Selah [ pause , and calmly think of that!
Ps 103 : 2 -5 [ amp] Bless [ affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul , and forget not [ one of] all His benefits.
[3] Who forgives [ every one of your iniquities, Who heals [ each one of ] all your diseases.
[4[ Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies and crowns you with loving- kindness and tender mercy.
[5[ Who satisfies your mouth [ your necessity and desires at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [ strong overcoming, soaring] !
These benefits come from the Lord.
The Lord that remain the same today and forever.
Thank you Jesus for your wisdom and knowledge and your guildness.
Thank you Jesus for all your marvelous works.
    Be bless in Jesus name.

  4. “The Lord gives the word, and a great army (Or a host of Woman) brings the good news.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭68:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We woman have the gift of bring the good news.
If anyone thinks that I am not good of telling someone about Jesus, you surely can do it!
Anywhere we are or we go we have the opportunity to tell someone the good news of Jesus.

  5. 1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

We will rejoice in the greatness of all You do, You are so mighty God! We walk in Your victory and authority today Jesus, all for Your glory!

  6. 3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

I think Daid is bringing to light that should think about God as Lord of Lords and not just a vehicle to sove our problems.

  7. King of Kings,Lord of Lords, God of all creation. We should continually have praise for him in our mouths. God is our everything.

  8. Tell everyone about God’s power. His majesty shines down on Israel; his strength is mighty in the heavens. God is awesome in his sanctuary. The God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!
    Psalms 68:34‭-‬35 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.68.34-35.NLT

Tell everyone!! Miracles, signs and wonders are mainly for people who do not have faith or believe in God. Yes, we need miracles too from time to time, but the testimonies I have of miracles and the Power of God pouring out is what gets people’s attention and draws them to a place of belief and reflection. It brings them to a place of awe because they were just met with the power of God.

  9. In this chapter it was talking about how God is the king over all and none can rule over him! We are always on the winning side, because we are on Gods side! Like it says in a song “ If God can’t do it nobody can!”

  10. Sing unto the LORD, praise his name , glorify his name the wicked will fall and the Godly will rise And that is why we praise him

  11. 1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

As I read this scripture this morning, I am reminded that the God of all creation knows my name. I am reminded that my steps are ordered by him and my destination has been ordained by his glory. If I rejoice and am glad of what and who god is in my life then I know that no enemy is too big, no mountain is too high, and no valley too wide for me to overcome because is Hid all by himself. He is the creator of everything and we are just the creation. Let God arise and every enemy be scattered should be our battle cry before the world and all that is in it. I am reminded this morning if this song that we sing in praise and worship:

Your Name is our battle cry
Your Name is the banner we’re lifting high
    Your Name is our victory
    You fight for us, Jesus
    We boldly face our fears
    They’re no longer welcome here
    There’s power in Your Name
    We’re standing unafraid
We rise in Your endless strength
Your Name is our battle cry
Your Name is the banner we’re lifting high
    Your Name is our victory
    You fight for us, Jesus
Your Name is our battle cry
Your Name is the banner we’re lifting high
    Your Name is our victory
    You fight for us, Jesus
    You fight for us, Jesus
    We walk in confidence
    (Nothing can stand against)
    Nothing can stand against
We know that You are on our side
Lord, You are on our side
    You’re mighty in the fight
We call down Your holy fire
Your Name is our battle cry
Your Name is the banner we’re lifting high
    Your Name is our victory
    You fight for us, Jesus
Your Name is our battle cry
Your Name is the banner we’re lifting high
    Your Name is our victory
    You fight for us, Jesus
There’s no weapon that can prosper
No war that we can face
    That hasn’t been defeated
    In Jesus’ Name
There’s no hell that comes against us
    No enemy too great
    That hasn’t been defeated
    In Jesus’ Name
There’s no weapon that can prosper
No war that we can face
    That hasn’t been defeated
    In Jesus’ Name
There’s no hell that comes against us
    No enemy too great
    That hasn’t been defeated
    In Jesus’ Name
Your Name is our battle cry
Your Name is the banner we’re lifting high
    Your Name is our victory
    You fight for us, Jesus
Your Name is our battle cry
Your Name is the banner we’re lifting high
    Your Name is our victory
    You fight for us, Jesus
There’s no weapon that can prosper
No war that we can face
    That hasn’t been defeated
    In Jesus’ Name
There’s no hell that comes against us
    No enemy too great
    That hasn’t been defeated
    In Jesus’ Name
Your Name is our battle cry
    You fight for us, Jesus

  12. “O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭68:35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Hallelujah!
No battle faced alone can be won! It is why my hope is only in thee my GOD ❤️

“Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the LORD And whose hope and confident expectation is the LORD.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17:7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

  13. I learned that We were celebrating How many bows the one with Jesus Praising the Lord to their singing songs about the Lord and anointed the Lord And they were saying I’ll never betrayed the Lord.

  14. 5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Jesus is ALL I NEED!!! He is always with me, I am never alone. As long as I am with Him there is NOTHING to fear. Be very careful for if you rebel against God that will only take you to death (hell).

  15. 19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

I am so grateful for the daily benefits of God including breath, life, and the ability to be in my right mind. He takes care of His children and leads us to places of continual blessings.

The Psalmist encourages us to Sing unto the Lord! We are to sing unto Him in a collective and sometimes individual effort to Magnify His and invite His presence into our situation. We are to elevate Him above our own thoughts and ways because He is so good and faithful to us. From the moment we were conceived in our mothers womb God has loaded us with the His benefits. It’s only right that we spend the rest of our days praising and honoring Him!

  16. 19Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms.

Why fear over daily struggles, over sickness, over finances. God brings comfort, peace and joy and is with you daily.

  17. Psalms 68
    The Lord gives the command [to take Canaan];
    The women who proclaim the good news are a great host (army);

    Proclaim the Good News !
Women we set the atmosphere of our own homes.
We set the atmosphere where we go.
Good News is Salvation that God is with us. We carry the Good News within us .
Not always happy go lucky . Not living realistic that life has it difficulties. God had told the children of Israel take Canaan . Only two believed it could be done . Yet it happened . Look at

Verse 9 even in the midst of battles and times of drought spiritually God is still making provisions for us . He is bountiful. He is the Provider. He is the Good News . We must instill in ourself first that the Good News is God is with us . He is Emanuel ! We must proclaim through sharing with family and friends and others this good news. Daily someone is searching the news . All the world hears right now is the bad we must share there is Good News

    Verse 9
    You, O God, sent abroad plentiful rain;
You confirmed Your inheritance when it was parched and weary.

He is plenteous! He is the Good News .

  18. “Blessed be the Lord, who bears our burden day by day, The God who is our salvation! Selah.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭68:19‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Thank you Jesus , for your mercies are new every day.

  19. 68:35 O God you are terrible out of your holy places
: the God of Israel, is he who give the strength
    And power unto his people.
    Blessed be God!!!!

  20. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

As I read this I had to stop and think about this verse. Think about it…”let them also that hate him flee before him.”

Think about that for a minute. How many folks out there could honestly say that they hate God. That’s pretty hard core, but according to this verse there are literally folks out there who hate God. Jesus sums it up perfectly for each one of us John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” The fact of the matter is, obedience is the glue that determines whether we love or hate the Lord.

  21. Psalm 68:32-34 Oh God, thou art awesome out of they holy places: God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

Jesus is an awesome God, worthy to be praised!!
    All kingdoms will praise God!

  22. ‭11 “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.”
    ‭‭
The Lord gave the word to the church stand up and proclaim the word to the world.

  23. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    LET GOD ARISE
1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

LET GOD ARISE? Who can hold him back? Who am I to LET GOD ARISE? As I meditate on this verse today, I am intrigued by the words LET GOD ARISE.

This phrase indicates that GOD of HIS own desire seeks to rise above our adversaries and scatter them as a great and mighty warrior.

Upon further reflection, my Praise is what exalts, elevates and lifts up GOD. Therefore my lack of praise would make him common in my life and not HOLY, HIGH and LIFTED UP. I could actually hinder GOD from scattering my enemies when I focus more on my problem than my PRAISE to the one who is able to do something about it.

LET GOD ARISE today and watch those that oppose HIM working in your life be scattered. Over the past few days we have seen the plan and progression of VICTORY.

Psalm 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Psalm 24:7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lordstrong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Psalm 47:1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

I believe the psalmist has laid out and established the path and plan to LET GOD ARISE and it includes and involves me and my willingness to PRAISE HIM in every situation.

    So, LETS PRAISE HIM

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray

  24. 19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

All we have to do is look around us and we can find blessing after blessing each and everyday.

We can be overcome with the sickness and darkness that life can bring; or we can rejoice in His daily blessings of life, peace and joy!

The choice lies in our own minds.

“I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  25. 19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

David has given us many examples of things that are worthy of our praise in God: from the prophetic to our victory in Him, even his blessings on us personally. I pray let God arise in my life, in every situation as I give him the praise in advance. Thank you for all your many benefits.

  26. 19 Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. NLT

There is relief and peace when we read scriptures like the one above. During this time of uncertainty, and even turmoil in our personal lives we can always find rest in Jesus.

  27. My biggest life difficulty out side of much drug use is that I always identified more with the kings of the foreign armies more than the Psalmist. I was born into a very wealthy family and never had to work an honest day in my life. I spent my life cheating everyone and not caring because I was a king. Now that I am fat, old and lonely I see what David was talking about in all those psalms.

  28. “Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.” Psalm 68:1

Wow, to hate God to me is unthinkable. Of course it is hard to rationalize those that don’t think rationally. I am glad that I am one re truly loves the Lord. We need to help those that don’t know the Lord so they may be filled with joy, happiness and love.

  29. AMP – 32 Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth,
Sing praises to the Lord! Selah.
33 To Him who rides in the highest heavens, the ancient heavens,
Behold, He sends out His voice, a mighty and majestic voice.
    34 Ascribe strength to God;
    His majesty is over Israel
And His strength is in the skies.
    35 O God, You are awesome and profoundly majestic from Your sanctuary;
The God of Israel gives strength and power to His people.
    Blessed be God!

Another anthem of Praise to our God. How majestic is our Lord!

Every where we look we see the majestic powers of our God. Creation alone should declare to us His mighty acts! How could we not recognize our Creator, the very one who gave us breath?

I was singing this song this morning prior to reading today’s blog – How Great by Covenant Worship

My God how great You are
How great how great You are

    The heavens are telling
Telling the earth how great You are
We are responding to Your love
    The oceans are rising
Rising and falling at Your word
We are responding to Your love

    Alleluia alleluia
Alleluia how great You are how great You are

How great You are how great You are
How great You are how great You are
How great You are how great You are

  30. Psalms 68:1, “LET God arise, let his enemies be scattered; let them also that hate him flee before him.”

I did not know until today that Moses spoke these same words in Numbers 10:35 when the ark set forward before the children of Israel. Numbers 10:35, “And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered: and let them that hate thee flee before thee.”
Now David is speaking these same words when the ark is set forward before Him and the children of Israel to Jerusalem.
Moses and David not only wanted God to be with them, but they wanted God to go before them and take care of their enemies that might be in the way.

Anytime and every time we are planning on setting forward, we need God not only to be with us, but we need God to go before us and take care of our enemies that are in the way.

Thank You JESUS that You are not only with us, but You go before us and defeat our enemies!!

  31. 28 Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.

David was grateful for the wonderful victory but also knew that many challenges were still ahead. He prayed that God would pour strength into the victory of the past, using it as a foundation for what He would do in the future.

  32. Psalms 68:5-6
[5]Father to the fatherless, defender of widows—
this is God, whose dwelling is holy.

I’ve heard a thousand stories of what they think you’re like
But I’ve heard the tender whispers of love in the dead of night
And you tell me that you’re pleased
    And that I’m never alone
    You’re a good good father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
    And I’m loved by you
    It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am
I’ve seen many searching for answers far and wide
But I know we’re all searching
    For answers only you provide
‘Cause you know just what we need
    Before we say a word
    You’re a good good father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
    And I’m loved by you
    It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am
Because you are perfect in all of your ways
You are perfect in all of your ways
You are perfect in all of your ways to us
You are perfect in all of your ways
You are perfect in all of your ways
You are perfect in all of your ways to us
    Oh, it’s love so undeniable
    I, I can hardly speak
    Peace so unexplainable
    I, I can hardly think
As you call me deeper still
As you call me deeper still
As you call me deeper still
    Into love, love, love
    You’re a good good father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
    And I’m loved by you
    It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am
    You’re a good good father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
    And I’m loved by you
    It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am
    You’re a good good father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
    And I’m loved by you
    It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am
    You’re a good good father
You are perfect in all of your ways
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
    And I’m loved by you
You are perfect in all of your ways
    It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am

    [6]God places the lonely in families;
he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy.
But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

Our God is good all time. I thank him for the wonderful church family at the POFW, for Pastor and Sister Watts and all the leaders of the church. Thank you for all yall do for the kingdom of God.

  33. Psalm 68

4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.

5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

  34. So in Psalms Chapter 68 verses 1-6 it’s talking about how Jesus let his Enemies be scattered and the smoke drove them away so as the wax melted after the fire so Jesus was righteous before them then Jesus said sing unto heaven so you rejoice upon him then a feather of the widows was in his holy habitation then Jesus brought out his bound with Chains but to dwell in dry land

  35. 1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

Whenever we get in turn with god rather it be in prayer or worship we are given a power that whatever wicked or evil thing that may try to rise against us we know it will flee: because it is through Christ and through the Holy Spirit that we are given power over those thing.

For he is a shield against the wicked and nothing shall harm us!

  36. 35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

God will always look after his people. Every step they took God was in the midst. He is the source of their strength and the reason they are victorious. Anything that is not of God is going to fall.

  37. 19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Daily loadeth us with benefits. Daily like the bread that you eat, like the air you breathe, daily. He is faithful and constant. Blessed be our Lord that his love is every day.

  38. 19Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Our God truly is great. His benefits are wonderful. They are like no other benefits you can receive. It is his benefits we should strive for everyday.

Many times we based our decision on accepting a position at a certain company based on their benefits. We constantly search for benefits that will the most beneficial for us. Sometimes the benefits at a company can outweigh the pay. God’s benefits surpasses that. This is why we should always seek after his benefits in the good times and bad times.

  39. God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.
    Psalms 68:6 NLT

In whatever kind of prison you may find yourself and no matter how lonely you might feel. Remember we serve a God that can set captives free and give them the joy only God can give.

  40. “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭68:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Who daily loadeth is with benefits?? What serve a Mighty Great God!! He is moved with compassion toward us.

  41. “Ascribe strength to God; His excellence is over Israel, And His strength is in the clouds.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭68:34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This Scripture means that, It is admiration God’s Strength over The Earth and over Heaven and His Nation Israel

  42. “O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.”
    Psalms 68:35 KJV

David understand that God was greater than anything whether it be land, mountain or a temple. God will strengthened according to his glorious power. Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things and blessed be his glorious name for ever. Let the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen!

  43. “But God will smash the heads of his enemies, crushing the skulls of those who love their guilty ways. The Lord says, “I will bring my enemies down from Bashan; I will bring them up from the depths of the sea. You, my people, will wash your feet in their blood, and even your dogs will get their share!””
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭68:21-23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We must not be a enemies of the Lord and his wrath be on us we must stay in the side of the Lord because his path is right and he will bring peace and love.

  44. “The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭68:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This clarifies what fearing God means. Ge didn’t threaten the earth or mount Sinai but instead His presence alone was so awe-inspiring the earth had no choice but to move. We should be the same way. When we feel the presence of God, we should move. Our praise should reflect how awesome God truly is.

I thank God for being awesome. I pray we take time to look at Gods creations and take in how awesome He is.

  45. 1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

“. . . them also that hate him flee before him.” Our enemies that hate God should flee away from Him. The next verse then puts it so plainly how easy it is to drive them away, “. . . As smoke is driven away, so drive them away:”. It should by easy and not a second thought when doing so, “. . . as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.” If someone speaks against our God and our truth, this passage is saying to turn away and that it should be easy. Then in verse three, yet the righteous shall rejoice in God.

  46. 34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

  47. “Proclaim the power of God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose power is in the heavens. You, God, are awesome in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭68:34-35‬ ‭NIV‬‬

  48. 32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:

33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.

34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

  49. Psalm 68:3-6
3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

I am so thankful for the benefits of living for God! I am so blessed that I never had to live in sin, lost and confused; searching for something to satisfy my soul. Only Jesus can satisfy your Soul… His benefits far exceed those of the world!

  50. Verses 5-6 MSG “Father of orphans, champion of widows, is God in his holy house. God makes homes for the homeless, leads prisoners to freedom, but leaves rebels to rot in hell.” “There is Room In The House of God For Everybody” is what Bishop Cornwell always says and these verses brought it to my mind.

Verses 7-10 MSG “God, when you took the lead with your people, when you marched out into the wild, Earth shook, sky broke out in a sweat; God was on the march. Even Sinai trembled at the sight of God on the move, at the sight of Israel’s God. You pour out rain in buckets, O God; thorn and cactus become an oasis For your people to camp in and enjoy. You set them up in business; they went from rags to riches.” These verses reminded me of the song “God Is On The Move”:

Anytime a heart turns from darkness to light
Anytime temptation comes and someone stands to fight
Anytime somebody lives to serve and not be served

    I know, I know, I know, I know
God is on the move, on the move
    Hallelujah
    God is on the move
    In many mighty ways
God is on the move, on the move
    Hallelujah
    God is on the move
    On the move today

Anytime in weakness someone falls upon their knees
Or dares to speak the truth that sets men free
Anytime the choice is made to stand upon the Word

  51. 5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

The Lord has been our father, there is no father like him. He has taken us as His children, for now we call Him our Father. He has been there for me and will always be there. There is no one like our Father Jesus Christ.

  52. Psa 68:2  As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

I know the wicked don’t stand a chance to my God. He’s mighty and powerful my problems perish my sickness perish my adversary perish…nothing can stand up to the name of Jesus. When you wake up in the morning remember if you walk in the Spirit nothing stands against the Spirit.

  53. “As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭68:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The fire if the Holy Ghost will melt away all sidedness we have within ourselves if we allow it. We just have to stay in the flames so that our wickedness will melt away and only he remains.
