Psalm Chapter 105 – Chronological

O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

12 When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

13 When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;

14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

16 Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.

20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

22 To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

24 And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

26 He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.

27 They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

31 He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.

32 He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.

33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

34 He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

35 And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

40 The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.

42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.

  1. 14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

    15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

    God rebuked earthly kings that would harm children of The King of Kings; their kingdom faded away, His Kingdom is eternal.

  2. 14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

    15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

    This chapter of psalms tells us how God prevented the enemy from being victorious. The chosen one Israel was brought from a promise and a covenant through famine and bondage, from Abraham to Moses, from their homeland to their stay into Egypt to the promise land, and through it all God watched over his chosen. The verses that stated for they the enemy did Israel no wrong. They could not touch his anointed. Overall God never left them and never forsook them. Even though Israel made some stupid decisions, God was always there.

    We have to understand the kingdom has purpose whether we are a part of it or not. We have to bring forth our own wills to be in alignment with God. As long as we are a part of the kingdom of God we will be protected from any enemy that comes against us. We will be victorious in the battles. The beauty of the entire matter is that God will walk with every step of the way and he will be as close as the mentioning of his name. Living Jesus so that we can give Jesus.

  3. Psalms 105

    37. He brought them forth also with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

    Psalm 105:37 (GNT) Then he led the Israelites out; they carried silver and gold, and all of them were healthy and strong.

    Wealth and Health
    I believe this is what God wants for each us.
    Not only in provisions for the natural body but so much more than this .
    The spiritual importance goes beyond the natural. There will always be the flesh to deal with , it will have it’s aging process and limitations may befall some. Yet to realize that the spiritual being can have the strength that supersedes anything . The children of Israel had just been set free and God is providing wealth and health . His provisions of food,shelter,clothing and water . All they needed .
    How blessed today are we even in the midst of all that has been going on look God has provisions. He has provided. We must stay spiritually strong and know that spiritually and naturally God will provide .
    No one was feeble . No one stumbled . The came out healthy and strong …….

    Wealth and Health Naturally and Spiritually

    14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

  4. 15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
    It is important to hold our ministers in high reguard and to not speak ill of our Pastor.

    4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

    When we feel discourgaged we should try to be still and focus on the attributes of the Lord and seek to be closer to his will..

  5. Verses 1-4 AMP “O give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the people. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonderful acts and devoutly praise them. Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those who seek and require the Lord [as their most essential need] rejoice. Seek and deeply long for the Lord and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually.” Talk about being essential, my God, before and after anything!!! In the MSG verse 1 says “Thank God! Pray to him by name! Tell everyone you meet what he has done!”. Do you know the name to call upon??…..JESUS.

    Verses 43-45 MSG “Remember this! He led his people out singing for joy; his chosen people marched, singing their hearts out! He made them a gift of the country they entered, helped them seize the wealth of the nations So they could do everything he told them—could follow his instructions to the letter. Hallelujah!” Let’s get to marchin!

  6. 1 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
    2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works

    Part of what made David stand out asking the other kings was his insatiable hunger to talk about God and what he had done so many times over and over. Whether he was retelling his testimony or referring to the times before him. David knew what kind of God he served and how marvelous it was to be in his presence. Let us also be like-minded as well

  7. 3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
    4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

    We will rejoice in the Lord forevermore. More than anything else Jesus, we just want You. To honor You and bring You glory. We will daily seek You with all our hearts and with all our might!

  8. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    I REMEMBER

    5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

    GOD is Good!

    The mind is powerful in the realm of memory. Certain occurrences in our lives we readily and easily recall. In just a few weeks I will celebrate 32 years being Born Again of the Water and Spirit. I remember that night, Tuesday, September 13, 1988 very clearly and passionately.

    We live in a society that seems to focus on remembering the negative, devastating and painful situations. Yes, these are natural responses to warn us of future danger. However, what I believe is missing in many lives is any memory of an absolute GOD moment. A nation that seldom references or seeks GOD. Who have no memories of HIS marvelous works, wonders or judgements.

    Unfortunately this mindset has affected the Church. People are more apt to discuss the trouble in the land than the mighty works of GOD.

    JESUS is calling HIS Church today to REMEMBER HIM. HIS grace and mercy, HIS acts of kindness, HIS miraculous intervention, HIS favor on man. Lets all practice to share the great memories of our GOD with our dark and devastated world.

  9. All this happened so they would follow his decrees and obey his instructions. Praise the Lord !
    Psalms 105:45 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.105.45.NLT

    We think that some blessings come because we’ve worked so hard or we deserve this or that, bit of I were to read this scripture that way I could say that a lot of us are in a place of blessing so that we can love on Him, follow His Statutes, love on people, advance His Kingdom!

  10. Thank you Jesus for today , let’s praise God

    Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the Lord . Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him. Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given, And the Lord multiplied the people of Israel until they became too mighty for their enemies.
    Psalms 105:1‭-‬5‭, ‬24

  11. 1 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

    Word of mouth still the best advertisement there is!!!!! Why? Because if people say something is good it usually is, but when they say is bad it really is bad. Before any other type of advertising word of mouth was the way businesses grew. I’m not say Jesus is a business but we need to treat it like one sometimes. If we do what that first verse says and we just talk about God’s goodness and what He has done for us, and the great presence that fills POFW, we talk about continually to everyone without shame, people will come out of curiosity and God will plant a seed. Talk about Jesus if anyone deserves good advertisement is JESUS!!!!! He is so Good to us. GIVE THE LOVE OF JESUS EVERYWHERE YOU GO!!!!!! Is that simple ALL THE GLORY AND ALL THE HONOR BELONGS TO HIM. All you have to say is LET ME TELL YOU WHAT MY JESUS DID FOR ME….. Ever since I started going to POFW the blessing of GOSHEN has been in my home!!! And just keep talking of all the blessings you have had in your life. Life is way too short for us to look at the negativity that surrounds us BE THE POSITIVE, BE JOYFUL, BE BLESSED, BE LOVING, when they ask why just say MY GOD MY JESUS!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!

  12. Why should we “Give Thanks” unto the LORD? Why should we “Sing unto Him?” Why should we “Glory in His Holy name?” Why should we “Seek Him?” Why should we “Remember His marvelous works?”
    Because “He is the LORD our God.”
    God remembers His promises. He is our Protector. He is our Provider. He Delivers. He brought us forth from this world of sin (Egypt) and put joy and gladness in our hearts.
    Praise Ye The LORD!!

  13. God is so good and greatly to be praised. He gives us life and does it abundantly. Live Jesus, give Jesus!!

  14. 105:42 for he remembered his holy promise
    And Abraham his servant.
    ——

    God never forgets!!!
    God is not a man that can lie
    Not a son of men that can repent. The word of God says.
    Who of us has seen God done over and over things for us , showing his mercy his faithfulness when we don’t deserve it, when we have fails him.. yet He is always there( for me and with me).
    God is good!!!
    He delivered them then, and He is delivering people now.

  15. Ps. 105: 43 [ amp] And He brought fourth His people with joy , and His chosen ones with gladness and singing.
    Ps.30 :5 [ amp] For His anger is but a moment,
    But His favor is for a life time or in His favor is life.
    Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
    Just keep on praising and singing to Lord.
    Keep on praying and serving God.
    Seeking Him and you shall find him.
    Hallelujah Praise the Lord.

  16. 5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

    We are thankful for the great marvelous things that God has done. Many times when we are low or in a struggle, we must look back at the wonderful things that God did, to encourage us and lift our faith. However, we must never forget His judgements as well. He will judge the unfaithful, disobedient. We must not get too comfortable that we forget.

  17. “And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭105:43‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    Hallelujah!!!! Every word HE has kept. Faithful He is. He gives us hope every day. He has been our protector from the hand of the enemy. Great is our GOD. Keep singing praises due unto His name!!!

    Hallelujah!!!!

  18. 1 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
    2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

    This is what the world needs to hear-his marvelous works, his great miracles, testimonies of salvation and deliverance and most of all his great love for us. We become a beacon of light to others who then can follow us to Jesus. Find and/or bring a friend to hear the goodness of God!

  19. Psalm 105

    1 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

    2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

    3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

    4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

    5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

    6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

  20. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus

    Psalms 105:15 KJV  Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

    This is one of my favorite scriptures. It shows God’s love and commitment for those who are in covenant with him. It reminds me of how God protected Abraham and Sarah as they went through Egypt. It reminds me of how God protected David ( and even Saul) while being in covenant with Him. Our God is Awesome and loves us!

  21. Psalms 105:4
    Search for the lord and for his strength;
        continually seek him.

    Seeking the Lord means seeking his presence. “Presence” is a common translation of the Hebrew word “face.” Literally, we are to seek his “face.” But this is the Hebraic way of having access to God. To be before his face is to be in his presence. seeking.” Continual seeking. Both the Old and New Testaments say it is a “setting of the mind and heart” on God. It is the conscious fixing or focusing of our mind’s attention and our heart’s affection on God. Now set your mind and heart to seek the Lord your God. (1 Chronicles 22:19)
    If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. (Colossians 3:1–2) He reveals himself in his word. So we can seek him through that. He shows himself to us in the evidences of grace in other people. So we can seek him through that. The seeking is the conscious effort to get through the natural means to God himself — to constantly set our minds toward God in all our experiences, to direct our minds and hearts toward him through the means of his revelation. This is what seeking God means.

  22. “Saying touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.’ Psalm 105:15

    Our Lord protects those that love Him. He did many miracles for the Israelites in Egypt. He still does miracles and I pray that the world shall see the wonders God does today. Those that don’t have Lord Jesus in their lives are missing out on the best experiences of eternity.

  23. Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.
    Psalms 105:1 NLT

    How is this world going to know and find out about Jesus? By us giving thanks for the good and the bad. When we proclaim His greatness and no matter what He is still God.

  24. 15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

    God has always remembered his covenant with Abraham. His people may have moved around a lot but God never stopped protecting them wherever they went. Even though they were strangers in a foreign land no enemy could rise up and harm them. This is how God shows us his unfailing love.

    Those who are prophets and anointed of God may be in this world but separated unto God. While under His covering there is protection because He will never leave us nor forsake us.

  25. “Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;”
    Psalms 105:5 KJV

    God is good. He has already supplied our needs according to His riches and His glory by Christ Jesus our Lord. Remember His marvelous works that he hath done and continues to do.

  26. 4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

    5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

    Sometimes we quickly forget what God does for us. He comes through mightily on our behalf and the moment we face another situation we loose heart. Yet if we recognize one thing from the Word is that he constantly reminded his children that he was the God that got them out of Egypt. So we just ensure to remind ourselves what God has done for us. Where he has brought us from and what he has blessed us with. Know that He still has the power to deliver, to guide, to make a way, to heal to restore. Remember his marvelous works not only the ones written in the word but the ones written in your own life story.

  27. “He always stands by his covenant— the commitment he made to a thousand generations.”(‭‭Psalms‬ ‭105:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

    The Lord our God is a God full of honor, loyalty and patience he has never changed and has always stayed true to his promise that he’s committed to a thousand generations. WOW !!!! He’s worthy of all PRAISE !!!!

  28. “Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonderful acts and devoutly praise them.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭105:2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

    Look at what we are saying! Are we proclaiming all the things the Lord has done or are we throwing our own pity party for the world to be apart of? We have the power of death and life in our tongue so we need to choose our words wisely. As followers of Christ, from what we think to what we speak, we should make sure our words line up with His Word.

    I thank God for His guidance in all things. I pray we continue to praise God for who He is, sharing with others the testimony He has made us all to be!

  29. 4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
    5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

    Now more than ever we should seek the Lord for strength, wisdom and guidance. The world could be falling apart around us, but we serve a mighty God who has done marvelous works in our lives. We must never forget it and continue singing praises to the One and Only God, who doesn’t forsake us.

  30. 41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.

    Here the rock is Jesus, where the living water flows from. Jesus is the living water, just as he answered the Samaritan woman, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” There is no other water that can quench your thirst, but only Jesus the living water. He is everything for us. Come drink

  31. Tied to a promise

    42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

    When we were born again of the water and the spirit, we took on the Abrahamic family name and promise. Whatever was promised to him is now part of our inheritance too. What a deal! As soon as I came up out of the water in Jesus name I am joint heir with Christ. That means heaven is my home. No matter what hoes on or e we haa as t the enemy try’s to throw at us, I can remind him of that promise. Remember me Jesus!

  32. In our most calm times or most desolate ones. We must remember all that God has said to us. We do not know of the timeline in which this psalms is written or how far back David was retracing when proclaiming the things he mentions in this chapter. So it does us good to hang onto every word that we have received every promise we may feel has not yet come to our lives. Many times the Lord has spoken into my own life and proclaimed things which later on I would recount in a similar way, restating them to God Himself. Because of two things; I want to remind myself of all He has said would be and He has already done as well as I am making a statement that even if I don’t see the things that have been spoken they truly are there and His word will not return void.

  33. “He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy; he gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for— that they might keep his precepts and observe his laws. Praise the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭105:43-45‬ ‭NIV‬‬

    God did so much for the children of Israel, blessings after blessings, spoils after spoils, victories after victories, even the fruit out of the labor of others yet there was still time to complain and fall short of the laws of God. God does so much for us, even when we aren’t asking for it, all to make sure we remember to follow his commandments so why is it so easy for us to walk away from what we know He wants us to do? It’s so easy for him to give to us but it’s so hard for us to give of ourself to himself.

    We all get tired of that person that constantly takes, takes, takes, never attempting to give back in return. They’re emotionally and physically draining to be around and eventually you regret ever giving to them and avoid going to them again. We don’t like being around those people so why would it be ok to be THAT person towards God? Don’t always be on the look out to receive from him but rather be continually giving if yourself to Him and the Kingdom. We can never do enough to repay God for what he’s done and given to us.

  34. Psa 105:2  Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
    Psa 105:3  Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
    I want to give God praise this morning for all he’s done for me thank him for his goodness I know the joy of the Lord is my strength and I can’t help myself but praise him when I think of where he’s brought me out God’s been so good to me

  35. Que maravilloso eres senor JESUS tu nos distes sustento en la necesidad peleaste por nosotros nos diste de comer donde no habia agua y nos diste de comer donde hera desierto por eso y mas gracias senor JESUS.

  36. 4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

    Seek after the Lord, always look for Him in every situation. Always try and strive for His lead. Not only Him but His strength. That same strength that helped persevere and helped Him on the cross to persevere.

    43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
    44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
    45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the Lord.

  37. “He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭105:37-38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    God’s mercy doesn’t look the same for everyone. God is merciful, but to the Egyptians was merciful For them to endure hardship and then to let the children of Israel leave. To the children of Israel it was merciful to have the hand of God in them, multiply, be given silver and gold, and then leave. We don’t always understand the mercy of God, but it is always there.
