2 Samuel Chapter 7 – Chronological

And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the Lord had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.

And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the Lord is with thee.

And it came to pass that night, that the word of the Lord came unto Nathan, saying,

Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the Lord, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in?

Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.

In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?

Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,

11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the Lord telleth thee that he will make thee an house.

12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.

17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

19 And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord God?

20 And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy servant.

21 For thy word’s sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.

22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

23 And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?

24 For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, Lord, art become their God.

25 And now, O Lord God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said.

26 And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The Lord of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee.

27 For thou, O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.

28 And now, O Lord God, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:

29 Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.

  1. 22 “How great you are, O Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you. We have never even heard of another God like you! NLT

Isn’t it awesome to be serving the true, living God that has actually done deeds so great, no one can even make up stories of what their god can do to even compare! Somebody give Him some praise!!

  2. 2 Samuel 7
Verse 22 Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
King David stated said thou art great, O Lord God. This sounds as if it is only Praise. That brief statement contains the Glory of Christ from His throne in heaven through the earth. Those few word are just an under statement of who Jesus is. For he is our God , Savior, Sheppard, Creator of all things, our Peace, our Rock and High Tower, our Hope, our Joy, and our very Life. This includes every heart beat and every breath that we are allowed to take.
We are dust babies for Adam was formed from Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Then in Genesis 2: 21 God takes one of Adam’s ribs and creates a living beauty named Eve. Even though God used Adams rib Eve was still made out of the dust of the ground because the rib used was once dust. Therefore we are both fearfully and wonderful made. God is the potter and we are the clay. Because of that we must give God praise.
Second statement: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee. 1Ch 17:20 O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
1Sa 2:2 There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
Psa 86:8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
All above must be our reality. When I worked for Central Market a coworker came to me after I gave a costumer comfort by using Jesus name more than once and a coworker came to me and stated that if he heard Jesus name used again he would have me fired or he would quit. It brought fear to me and I had to ponder that statement until the next day when the above verses and came to life in me.
I could cower down and seem ashamed of the name of Jesus or stand up and honor Jesus. The Lord reminded me of a statement that Apostle Peter stated when Jesus asked a question to Apostles after making this statement found in
John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
John 6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
John 6:61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
John 6:67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
John 6:68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. The Holy Spirit quickened my mind with the above. I was give great peace and a quiet confidence in those words with power.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Amen Amen

  3. 2 Sam. 7:28-29[ amp] And now , O Lord You are God , and your words truth, and You have promised this good things to Your servant.
29 ] Therefore now let it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue for ever before You ; for You, O Lord God have spoken it, and with your blessing let ( his) house be blessed forever.
    King David prayed this prayer.
Lord my prayer is for my family to protect them , and draw them to you.
I pray that you would richly bless My church and protect them.
Bless America today and draw them to you in Jesus name.
Deut.6 :4 Hear , O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord ( the only Lord.
There is no other God but you.

  4. 21 For thy word’s sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.
22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

All for His glory and for the work of His Kingdom. Lord, we will build you a house of praise daily because You are worthy and Your name is excellent in all the earth!

  5. Verses 28-29 MSG “And now, Master God, being the God you are, speaking sure words as you do, and having just said this wonderful thing to me, please, just one more thing: Bless my family; keep your eye on them always. You’ve already as much as said that you would, Master God! Oh, may your blessing be on my family permanently!” What a blessing to hold onto and proclaim over your family (personal, church and future). God’s promises are sure and David knew that as he prayed this prayer of gratitude.

Hebrews 10:23-25 ERV “We must hold on to the hope we have, never hesitating to tell people about it. We can trust God to do what he promised. We should think about each other to see how we can encourage each other to show love and do good works. We must not quit meeting together, as some are doing. No, we need to keep on encouraging each other. This becomes more and more important as you see the Day getting closer.”

  6. 13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

I love David’s relationship with God, while every other person in the Bible has a very admirable walk with God it’s David’s that I relate to the most. God strikes up a conversation with David to tell him that how is never how to place the dwell and David immediately starts planning I’m gathering all the supplies and money that’s needed but God tells him that he wants his son to do it so he can establish his kingdom forever.

  7. This chapter the Lord speaking to David about the temple being built for the Lord to dwell in because he has swelled in a tent since the wilderness. I find that as the Lord spoke to David and told him specifically that his son would be the one to build Him a temple, because he would bless Solomon and his anointing would be there as long as he would love and follow God. But if he did not he would remove the anointing as God did from Saul. We must live the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind and above all else we must keep his commandments.

If we live Jesus to follow him and keep his word in our heart we will be blessed but if not God will remove his anointing. Making God priority 1 in our lives will allow us to be the example to give Jesus to those in the hour that need to be saved from sin. We must follow God no matter where he leads.

  8. 14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

I think this is one of the best definitions of salvation. He becomes our Father and if we miss behave we will be punished but He will never take His Mercy away from us. Thank you Jesus because without your Mercy we are NOTHING!!!

  9. 22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

28 And now, O Lord God, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:

If God said it would happen it did. David believed and trusted in God’s words all of his life.

  10. 11Samuel 7
22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

How Great is Our God There is no one like You
You know the depths of my soul ……

Without God, I could do nothing,
Without God, my life would fail
You know all my life be drifting ,
Yes, like a ship, without a sail

  11. I am so thankful for your word Lord and your arms open wide to your people. Lord without you I would be nothing. Thank you Thankyou Thankyou for your goodness and mercy!!

  12. In this chapter 4 But that night the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying:
Go and tell my servant David, This is what the Lord says: Are you the one to build me a house to dwell in?

  13. Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and prayed, “Who am I, O Sovereign Lord , and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?
    2 Samuel 7:18 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/2sa.7.18.NLT

My Sovereign Lord, You amaze me everyday. You have brought me so far. I am in awe of You. You didn’t have to pull me from that pit so many years ago. You didn’t have to shift my mindset anytime I was down. You have brought my family to a place of security and blessing. I am in awe of Your Mercy and Grace everyday.

  14. 22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

According to all that God’s people have ever heard up to this passage by king David, there is only one God and not another one beside him. No trinity is ever mentioned and I am thankful we still serve the great God of Abraham, Isaac and Jabob. One Lord, one faith, one baptism! One God and we know his name is Jesus.

  15. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the Lord is with thee.

Did ya’ll catch this? Nathan speaks from the flesh instead of from the voice of God in this scripture. You might say, “Bro, how can you say that…” It’s easy, it’s right here. Notice what Nathan says, “And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the Lord is with thee” then in the very next scripture God gives Nathan the real details (which don’t include the words “do all that is in thine heart”).

What does this mean? It means sometimes the man of God can speak from the flesh and not from the will of God. Does that make the man of God a false prophet? No it doesn’t, Nathan hears from God and gives the instruction to David.

  16. 22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

God’s Covenant with David and the people of God and the church today benefits of it without it would have no chance for salvation.

  18. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    WHO AM I

8 Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

I find myself asking this question often. Growing up in poverty and living on my mothers grocery clerk income, my sister and I eventually learned that we were living with the poor. We watched our mother attempt to buy us a house only to have it catch fire and become too much for her. Back the poverty apartments we went. We finally accepted that we could not have all the clothes, toys and treats that all the other kids had. We learned that our mother made and did her best with what she had and taught us to do the same.

Now I am so BLESSED to live in a nice peaceful and comfortable home, drive reliable transportation, have nice clothing and food to eat. We are BLESSED to worship JESUS in a nice and attractive building as we learn to become HIS Body, The Church.

So yes there are days that I look around and ask JESUS, “WHO AM I” that you have brought me here. I encourage you today to take a look around and see where GOD has brought you from whether from a place of obscurity like David and Michael Watts or placed you in a position of Leadership like David and Michael Watts.

    Or

If you don’t see yourself in these confditions yet, please allow King David and Pastor Michael Watts be an encouragement to you to keep on serving the LORD in whatever capacity you are now.

We serve a loving and merciful GOD and HE will BLESS you to where you can also say “Who Am I”.

  19. 18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

    Who am I, Lord?

David’s attitude wasn’t “I’m so great even God blesses me” it was “God is so great, that He even blesses me”.

Through every blessing, he remained humble and gave glory where it was due.

The blessing of the Lord are aplenty and great. It is easy to get caught up in our own selves and begin to think it’s because of the work we’ve done.

But we must keep a David attitude and remember it is not because of who we are, but because of who He is!

  20. 18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

After Nathan the prophet spoke words that God had given him to David, David took those words and went to spent time in the presence of God for himself for those words to be confirmed in his spirit.

It is great when God sends the prophet of God to us directly, or even speaks to us directly from the man of God in our lives, but it can’t stop there. We must take those words to heart and then take time to go to the feet of Jesus and let them be confirmed in our spirit. When God sends a word, if we don’t exercise the faith it takes to receive the word, put it into our spirit and then thank God for it until it comes, the word may die before it ever has a chance to live.

God does His part in sending the word, we must do our part in watering that word with prayer, praise and faith.

  21. Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.

These verses made me think of our Pray Every Day card.
Lord Jesus, this day I cover myself, Jim (spouse) & Timothy and Courtney (children) with health, prosperity, strength, understanding, and wisdom; I cover them this day with a covering of the Spirit, of the Blood, and of Prayer, and the Shield of Faith.
I cover the Church, cover all the Church people, Everyone coming to and connected with the Church with a Covering of the Spirit, of the Blood, and of Prayer, and the Shield of Faith.

Please, LORD, Just One More Thing…
Please Bless my family, my natural and spiritual family.
Keep your eye on them always.
May Your Blessings be on my family, natural and spiritual family, permanently.

May the Blessings of the LORD be upon you today.
I Bless you in the name of the LORD.

    https://bible.com/bible/1/2sa.7.1-8.KJV

That it is a Beautiful story. Jesus put life in Dwayne it’s wonderful!!

  24. Nathan hears from God and then tells David. Through God we learn the truth. With the Bible we can be taught the words of the Lord. Also from our church we are also shown Gods words. Thank you pastor Watts!

  25. “But that same night the Lord said to Nathan, “Go and tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord has declared: Are you the one to build a house for me to live in? I have never lived in a house, from the day I brought the Israelites out of Egypt until this very day. I have always moved from one place to another with a tent and a Tabernacle as my dwelling. Yet no matter where I have gone with the Israelites, I have never once complained to Israel’s tribal leaders, the shepherds of my people Israel. I have never asked them, “Why haven’t you built me a beautiful cedar house?”’”
    ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:4-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬
David wanted to do more than God commanded. This is a wonderful place to be in our relationship with God. Most of us are so stuck in the thinking, “How little can I do and still please the LORD?” that we never really want to do more than God commands.

  26. 1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the Lord had given him rest round about from all his enemies;
2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.
3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the Lord is with thee.
4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the Lord came unto Nathan, saying,
5 Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the Lord, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in?
6 Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.
7 In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?

God has a plan he did not want to dwell in houses that men have made. But he wanted to dwell inside of us through the Holy Ghost. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost.

  27. 18Then King David went in and sat before the LORD and prayed, “Who am I, O Sovereign LORD, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?

When we start serving God, we may ask “why me”. God sees the good in every one of us. Each of us has a talent to serve in a particular ministry. Instead of asking “who am I”, ask God “how and where can I serve in your Kingdom “.

  28. 9And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

God is with us. Even when we don’t think he or notice him there. He is with us. God has also made us a great nation. It doesn’t matter how many people are talking about you. They cannot bring you down when you’re on the Lord‘s side. When we fail, we must choose to let that happen. Nobody makes you fell. Gid has given every person the power of choice. So when someone is doing wrong, we can choose to walk away. As God was with his people in the bible, he is with us.

  29. “Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and prayed, “Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?”(2 Samuel‬ ‭7:18‬ ‭NLT)

This verse brings a song to my heart it goes like this

    Days may be darkest
    But Your light is greater
    You light our way
    God You light our way
    When evil is rising
    You’re rising higher
    With power to save
    With power to save
    You keep hope alive
    You keep hope alive
    From the beginning to end
    Your word never fails
    You keep hope alive
    Because You are alive
    Jesus You are alive
    Death had a stronghold
    But Your life was stronger
    Rose from the grave
    Rose up from the grave
    When evil is rising
    You’re rising higher
    With power to save
    With power to save
    You keep hope alive
    You keep hope alive
    From the beginning to end
    Your word never fails
    You keep hope alive
    Because You are alive
    Jesus You are alive
    There’s hope in the morning
    Hope in the evening
    Hope because You’re living
    Hope because You’re breathing
    There’s hope in the breaking
    Hope in the sorrow
    Hope for this moment
    My hope for tomorrow
    There’s hope in the morning
    Hope in the evening
    Hope because You’re living
    Hope because You’re breathing
    There’s hope in the breaking
    Hope in the sorrow
    Hope for this moment
    My hope for tomorrow
    You keep hope alive
    You keep hope alive
    From the beginning to end
    Your word never fails
    You keep hope alive
    Because You are alive
    Jesus You are alive
    You keep hope alive
    You keep hope alive
    From the beginning to end
    Your word never fails
    You keep hope alive
    Because You are alive
    Jesus You are alive
    There is hope
    You keep hope alive
    You keep hope alive
    You keep hope alive
    Your word never ever fails
    You keep hope alive
    Jesus You are alive
    You keep hope alive

    I praise you God!

  30. ““And now, O Lord GOD, You are God, and Your words are true, and You have promised this goodness to Your servant.”

This Scripture means that, God will Bless You if you seek His Heart and Obey Him and We shall Give Him A Mighty Praise In The Name Of Jesus.

  31. 10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,
I see this Old Testment verse as a parallel to how Jesus spoke of having a place prepared for you. Following the Lord will not lead one astray, and we will have a designated place for us.

  32. v22 Wherefore thou art great,O LORD God: for there is no e like thee, neither is there any God besides thee, according to all that we gave heard with our ears.

David worships God with respect, honor, and reverence, entering His presence with an attitude of humility and obeisance.
Our worship should not be a shoddy practice.
God is awesome, and His majesty overwhelms us to the point that we heartily sing,
    ” HOW GREAT THOU ART”

  33. ““And now, O Lord God, I am your servant; do as you have promised concerning me and my family. Confirm it as a promise that will last forever. And may your name be honored forever so that everyone will say, ‘The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is God over Israel!’ And may the house of your servant David continue before you forever.”
    ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:25-26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As the Lord’s servant in the kingdom we must keep our promise and he will keep his. Honor his name for our lord is great and loves us.

  34. “For thou, O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.

Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.”
    2 Samuel 7:27, 29 KJV

I will build you Lord an altar were you can dwell, daily I will glorify your name. I praise you in advance Lord for you have spoken blessing of revival in our altar of praise, with the blessing you spoken our altar shall forever be a firm foundation that will not be shaken.

  35. 1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the Lord had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

God will always give you rest whenever you bring your worries and burdens to him, just like the king he gave him rest from his worries about his enemies. If we stop worrying and start focusing on the things of god we will always move forward instead of standing still.

  36. 9 And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth. 10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of the wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime.

God is with us everyday and every minute no matter what. The Lord is always protecting us and defeating our enemies keeping evil from us and guiding us towards his beautiful path and blessing us daily. As the children of the Lord we should each spread the joy that we all have with God, spread his word show people that he will bring them joy and peace unto there life’s and that he’s our one and only. God gave us this beautiful world to live in and he will do it again for when he comes for us.

  37. 18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

I love how God confirms His word… God appointed David to rule over a nation and build a place of habitation for Him. God’s grace kept David, even in times when David failed, God never gave up on him.

  38. 18 Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

David’s first care is to take that which he has in his mind before the Lord. This is what we should do, sit and meditate in God’s presence upon the communication which had now been made to us just as it was communicated to him. This is the time were we come before Him and offer Him thanksgiving, praise and prayer. In times like this that we are going through, all we can do is talk to God for direction. I believe God is telling us to get ready, for He is coming back soon. 🙏🙏

  39. 25 And now, O Lord God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said.
    ….

Believe the promise and pray the Word.

We can glean great examples from this prayer of David and his approach towards God. The man of God had a message from the Lord to David and he he believed the Words that were told to him. And out of those same words he prayed them back to the Lord. We can find many promises in the the bible that apply to us. Our only task is to believe. To believe what the words says it’s TRUE and then just pray the word. Lord as thou has said in your word…. you name it. The key is to know what the Lord is saying. You may be saying well I haven’t been called out with a promise from the Lord or a prophecy spoken over my life. Yet the word of God is alive and is speaking to you every time you open up your heart to read and understand. Believe the promise and pray the word. As though hast said in your word so let it be for me oh Lord.

In Jesus name… let it be so.

  40. I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do.
    2 Samuel 7:14 NLT

What society and this world is missing a father that will correct and discipline with the rod. Which is why there is so much rebellion and disrespect from children that have grown up to be adults. This world need people that are will to correct, discipline and love them but most of all they need a heavenly father and that is Jesus.

  41. And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the Lord is with thee.

4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the Lord came unto Nathan, saying,

5 Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the Lord, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in?

Our hearts desire should be to build the Kingdom of God. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Our efforts should not be to only build upon thus life but first the eternal life to come.

  42. 17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

    Speak only what God gives

It’s a slippery slope when people start speaking for God, when God didn’t speak. Especially in this time, when most people don’t hear an audible voice. Most of the time is a strong conviction that is supported by His Word.

So it best to not say, “This saith the Lord!” If the Lord didn’t saith!

  43. 21 For thy word’s sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.
22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

God has done and continues to do great things in our lives daily. From the moment we rise til our resting time, God is with us. How marvelous is to know that we are so important and loved by Him. Just like David ask who am I Lord? I too ask who am I? I’m humbled and blessed to know God has chosen us to do great things for His kingdom. God’s love is everlasting and unfailing.

  44. 11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the Lord telleth thee that he will make thee an house.

To hear the words that He commands judges to be over the home. He commands angels to protect us and cover us! And my favorite part has, “. . . have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies.” Take a nap and rest from your enemies, . . Just sit back relax and let God take care of it all! You rest as he commands judges to care for us. We serve a great big heart God capable of anything and everything.

  45. True authority

3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the Lord is with thee.

We see David start very wisely in his kingship. He knows where his authority comes from. David listens to the man of God in his life. If there ever was a secret to success in the Kingdom of God it is this. Learn where your authority comes from. Listen to your man of God.

  46. “Then King David went in and sat [in prayer] before the LORD, and said, “Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house (family), that You have brought me this far?”
    ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I’m sure many have asked this question. ‘’Whom am I’’
There’s been many times as I’ve looked and see the hand of GOD on my life and cried as my mind could not comprehend His love, mercy, salvation not only for me but everyone. Lord I humble myself before you, to give you all honor due to your Holy name.

    No One but You LORD❤️
    Hallelujah!!!!

  47. “Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said: “Who am I, Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?”
    ‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭7:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Who am ?I” That’s a question I feel we should never stop asking. We should never forget to be humble about where God has brought us from, where we are, and where we are going. Sometimes it’s easy to forget the real reason we are where we are, who we are and take the light that belongs to God and begin to point it on us. But let’s never forget it’s not us, but God that this would needs to see and know.

  48. 2Sa 7:5  Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in?
2Sa 7:6  Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.

Wherever our feet go we gotta be prepared to make it a dwelling place for the Lord. We can’t be ashamed or afraid to worship God on the job in our schools in the grocery store or nothing we can’t be ashamed we gotta be bold in the holy ghost and let the presence of God show up wherever and whenever. So be ready cause you’re a dwelling place for the Spirit of God

  49. It seems such a foreign concept to us today to have a physical place to go see God. Yes we honor God in a church building, but we know he dwells within us. Before we became the temple he was In a temple made of temper and stones. He would visit man here. Man could travel great distances to see God in this one place.
I am glad that today Jesus lives within me. We don’t get to see the temper and stone temple but we are able to be the temple of God.
