Psalm Chapter 69 – Chronological

Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.

I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.

O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord God of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.

Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.

I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother’s children.

For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

10 When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

11 I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.

12 They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.

13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

15 Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

16 Hear me, O Lord; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

17 And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.

18 Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.

19 Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.

20 Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.

21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.

23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.

24 Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.

25 Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.

26 For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.

27 Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.

28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

29 But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.

30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

31 This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

32 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

33 For the Lord heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.

34 Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.

35 For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.

36 The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

  1. 21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.

23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.

This scripture speaks well in advance to the redemption of the cross. What can be gleaned from this is the condition of the lost. When one choose to reject Christ’s plan of salvation, the ablity to establish faith grows exponentially toward rejecting the truth of the Gospel. Likewise, a condition of fear results when the prospect of death knocks at their door. Gambling with becoming turned over to a reprobate mind is most dangerous activity one could engage in.

  2. 1 Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.

2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

The water referred to here is actually waste water; water we should get rid of…
Just like ships don’t sink because of the water around them, but rather the water that gets inside them, we find ourselves in trouble not because of the waste in the world around us, but because of what we let seep into our lives that we should have gotten rid of.
Don’t let what’s going on around you destroy you from the inside – pump it out and rise above it!

  3. 13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

When all things seem to be overwhelming, whether internal or external. I choose for my prayers to be unto God. Not cries to man or the powers of this world. But to the one that controls all things and settles my soul.

  4. 29 I’m hurt and in pain;
Give me space for healing, and mountain air.
30 Let me shout God’s name with a praising song,
Let me tell his greatness in a prayer of thanks.

In everything give thanks . The suffering that Jesus Christ went through was so that this lost world could be saved. We too must continue to give thanks even in the midst of hurt and pain . No we are not perfect like Jesus but it is through Jesus that we can offer up a sacrifice of praise as Nd thanksgiving. We can share Jesus with the world and let them know He can bring healing and a breath of fresh air to their life.

    Message Philippians 2:15
15 Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Carry the light-giving Message into the night

  5. Oh Senor que bueno es saber que tu nos das la justicia , que persigues a los que nos acedian y das paz y descanso a los que nos ayudan.gracias senor JESUS.

  6. Verse 32 AMP “The humble have seen it and are glad; You who seek God [requiring Him as your greatest need], let your heart revive and live.” This verse reminded me of the kaleidoscope of hope.

Psalm 51:10-12 ERV “God, create a pure heart in me, and make my spirit strong again. Don’t push me away or take your Holy Spirit from me. Your help made me so happy. Give me that joy again. Make my spirit strong and ready to obey you.”

A desperate cry in times of trouble. In one of those days that nothing is going your way and the day is heavy and and you feel like you’re losing control call Héctor name of Jesus Christ.

  8. “And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭69:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we are not careful we can drown ourselves in our own tears, and a self pity party. We are not meant to stay in our troubles that has happened over 3 months ago. Stop focusing on what has been said and done to yourself and get back into the house of GOD where you belong. Your dilemma was only meant for a season in your life to sharpen and strengthen you in your faith. David here is starring at his problem set before him. As he continues in prayer there is a shift that begins and ends with victory as he encourages himself in praise and worship as he is reminded whom is his Lord and savior. So wipe your eyes to see clearly focus on GOD through every situation. He’ll give you the victory over your enemy, for the battle is not yours but the Lord’s.

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭121:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

DECLARE and Receive the promises that God has for your life!!!

  9. Psalms 69:1-2, 13-16, & 18
    1) SAVE me, O GOD; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
    2) I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

    13) But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of they mercy hear me, in in the truth of thy salvation.
    14) Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
    15) Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.
    16) Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of they tender mercies.

    18) Draw night unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.

During our lifetime, we all will face trials, tests, and situations that will cause us to feel like we are “sinking in deep mire, or come into deep waters, where the floods overflow us.”
    BUT
I’m so thankful today that we can Prayer unto the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and in HIS Mercy, HE will HEAR us, DELIVER us, DRAW NIGH to us, and REDEEM us.

JESUS today YOU will SAVE me!
JESUS today YOU will HEAR me!
JESUS today YOU will DELIVER me!
JESUS today YOU will DRAW NIGH to me!
JESUS today YOU will REDEEM me!

vs. 30, “I will PRAISE the name of God (JESUS) with a song, and will MAGNIFY HIM with THANKSGIVING.”

  10. “The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭69:32‬ ‭NLT‬‬

How great is our God, even when we don’t deserve it, His hand still at work on each and every of us. I have seen His mighty hand working in my life and those close to my heart. Even when everything seemed imposible God’s hand was at work. Knowing that God’s hand was at work gave me courage to know that in His hands nothing can’t be imposible.

Be encourage and know that God is working on your situation and no matter how hard it seems, keep seeking for God and everything else God is working, even when you don’t see it, His hand is at work.

  11. Thank you Jesus Christ for today, let us seek after him, he is the God of wonders . God is good all the time no matter how things seem

I am suffering and in pain. Rescue me, O God, by your saving power. Then I will praise God’s name with singing, and I will honor him with thanksgiving. The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged.
    Psalms 69:29‭-‬30‭, ‬32

  12. Ps . 69 : 30-31 [ amp] I will praise the name of God with a song and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.
31] And it will please the Lord better than an ox or a Bullock that has horns and hoofs.
We no longer have to praise the Lord by bringing him a ox or a bullock.
I will praise the Lord and magnify and glorify the Lord with the fruit of my lips.
Hebrews 13: 15 [ amp] Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.

  13. 13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

34 Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.

Thank you Jesus for your word today!

  14. 30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

The beginning of this chapter is full of negative situations but no matter how it begins I KNOW HOW IT ENDS SO PRAISE THE LORD NO MAYTER WHAT!!!! Sing to Him from the bottom of your heart. Spill your guts and PRAISE HIM for He is Good and His Mercy Endureth for ever and ever. So what everyone gossips it don’t mind me one bit for the only One that know the truth is God!!!! God knows ALL!!!! He knows that you are judging your brother and you haven’t cleaned up yourself first. So Happy to know that no matter what comes my way my Praises to God are better than any other sacrifice that’s burned!!!! So I will sing unto my God a new song a song from my spirit to His!!!! Hallelujah Thank you Jesus for you are worthy of ALL of the Glory, ALL of the Honor, and ALL of the Praise!!! You alone Jesus!!! Hallelujah!!!

  15. 2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

Remember that he pulled us up from the mire, lead us through the deep waters and put us on dry land. He is the God of overcomers. He gives us hope, he sets us on high place and walks with us through the low. Hallelujah he is stronger then any enemy and mightier then any weapon. Then you Lord for being my salvation.

  16. 16 Hear me, O Lord; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.
17 And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily

David request help not according to his need but according to the attributes that he knew about God. He acknowledges that he relies on Gods ability and according to His ways. We remember that salvation is not earned neither is anything else we ask of him, but it is the everlasting kindness of Christ and his love for us that we Lean on

  17. All our situations need prayer and help. Thank God his arm is not short. I build my hope on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness. Thank you Jesus for another day to share your
    Goodness!

  18. 13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

The search for truth. That’s what we’re after. And Everytime I pray to God that I just want to know truth and live by and honor it He brings here. He brings me back to salvation, He brings me back to more prayer. He brings me back to being under the covering of my pastor. He brings me to deeper understanding of His Word. Praise the God who gives, who takes away, and who is from everlasting to everlasting.

  19. 30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

I believe we were made to worship the Lord and glorify his name. Obedience is better than sacrifice I will worship the Lord always with a pure heart.

  20. ILove the Kingdom of Jesus
0 Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none

This psalm will a messianic prophecy. The psalmist in the very next verse describes thirst of the Lord on the cross. Jesus understands (according to this chapter) what it feels like to not have anyone to comfort him in his darkest hour. I pray I would have compassion on folks when they are going through a hard time

  21. And this is the life of a son or daughter of God.
This is the heart expressed of someone who above all
Chooses and perseveres on living a righteous life.
This is what a son or daughter of God will feel and go through sometime in her life.
    —-
But watch this: the difference between going through all of this of a child of God and one that is not, is that ; THERE WILL ALWAYS BE 👉🏼H O P E !!!
Jesus the hope of glory, our friend.

69: 13 but as for me, my prayer is unto thee Lord
In an acceptable time, oh God in thinly embrace multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

AND HE HAS!!!!! he has heard me , and delivered me every time.
    Glory to his name, hallelujah!!
God is good, he is my HOPE, and in him, will I put my trust.
    Hallelujah!!!
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Thank you Lord for the Holy Ghost. Without yours Spirit, I don’t know where I would be.( in what state of mind).
God has been good to me.
    In Jesus name , amen.

    • 19 Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.

God knows all that has been done and all that has yet to come.

  22. 16 Hear me, O Lord; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.
17 And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.

In Matthew Henry’s commentary, he remarks that while David’s eyes are dried up from crying, his heart isn’t. He begins his prayer with asking God to relief him from his enemies, asks for judgement upon them, then concludes with praise assured that God with hear and help. He had Hope! He never lost his hope in the Lord to rescue and save him out of all his troubles. What a great example for us today as we live through chaotic times-we have hope in the eternal and not the temporal. We must read the word of God and allow him to direct our paths through all the chaos and lead us to peaceful places as in Ps 23.

  23. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    JESUS ALREADY KNOWS

5 O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

There is a peace attained when confession is made. What should make confession to GOD peaceful is the fact that JESUS already knows what we have done. Do we think a confession is going make JESUS judge us more harshly. JESUS ALREADY KNOWS. Confession confirms honesty, strengthens relationship and abolishes fear.

Approaching the throne of Grace knowing that there are no surprises to release, no news to break and that judgement has already had opportunity to initiate is motivating to live by.

JESUS knows our weaknesses and faults, we simply need to approach the throne of Grace to obtain Mercy. Go ahead and confess your foolishness or sin, because HE already knows.

  24. 30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

31 This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

32 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

When David penned this psalm, there was great affliction upon him. But through it all there was light at the end of the tunnel. We find that there were things that David got himself into but also some things that God had tested David to see what his response would be. We read how David would be anointed of God and become the man after God’s own heart. When it comes to getting God’s attention, he knew exactly how to do it.

We have to look at the good things in our lives and compare to the bad things and see if the good outweigh the bad. You will find that the promises of God will always bring blessing upon blessings even through the rough times. If we capture the joy and thanksgiving through God in all we do, there will always be a time of rejoicing and thanksgiving as we praise God in our song and in our worship. We have to program our hearts to always give forth the praise that God deserves. This is a way that we can be a great example to live Jesus. And when we give Jesus to others they will know how to respond.

  25. “The descendants of those who obey him will inherit the land, and those who love him will live there in safety.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭69:36‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Being a child of God is full of benefits. All he asks is for a relationship with him. He wants us to get to know him. And to seek him with all our hearts.

“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:5, 8-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  26. “Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭69:34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Like Pastor said yesterday, we’re not the only ones that give God praise. The seas, the animals, the trees, they all give Him praise and I will not let a rock cry out in my place! As verse 30 says, I will praise Him with a song and magnify Him with thanksgiving!

I thank God He created us to praise and worship Him. I thank God I can freely praise Him and shout His name whenever and wherever I want. I pray we are not outdone by the rocks this morning and cry out to Him with a voice of triumph!

  27. 13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

    I have this confidence because
I’ve seen the faithfulness of God
    The still inside the storm,
    the promise of the shore
I trust the power of your word
Enough to seek your kingdom first
    Beyond the barren place,
    beyond the ocean waves

When I walk through the waters,
    I won’t be overcome
When I go through the rivers, I will not be drowned
My God will make a way, so I am not afraid

    • I am so thankful that I serve a God who knows the exact number of hairs on my head …. He knows when I am struggling and when I am on the top of the mountain!

  28. 30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

31 This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

You used to offer a physical sacrifice of an animal to show your worship unto the Lord. In our day, that physical sacrifice has been replaced with true and honest worship from our heart.

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

  29. 20 Their insults have broken my heart, and I am in despair. If only one person would show some pity; if only one would turn and comfort me.

Many are looking for words of comfort, they can turn to God. We must be there for friends and relatives. They are desperate to hear from God. We can lead them to God. Jesus is waiting for them to call on him. You could be that one person to make a difference in their life, and have them accept Jesus.

  30. “But I am sorrowful and in pain; May Your salvation, O God, set me [securely] on high. I will praise the name of God with song And magnify Him with thanksgiving.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭69:29-30‬ ‭AMP‬‬

In the midst of the storm praise him. Praise will get you through. Refocus your mind. Instead of having a complaint on your lips have a praise.

  31. Psalm 69:34-36 Voice
[34] All God’s creation: join together in His praise! All heaven, all earth, all seas, all creatures of the ocean deep! [35] The True God will save Zion and rebuild the cities of Judah So that His servants may own it and live there once again. [36] Their children and children’s children shall have it as their inheritance, and those who love His name will live in it.
He said everything that moves praise him. We all move. We all have something everyday to praise him for.

  32. 1 Save me, O God,
for the waters(A) have come up to my neck.(B)
    2 I sink in the miry depths,(C)
    where there is no foothold.
    I have come into the deep waters;
    the floods engulf me.
3 I am worn out calling for help;(D)
    my throat is parched.
    My eyes fail,(E)
    looking for my God.

A cry out in time of need!!!! In times of desperation lean on him and know that He is God!!! Let God be the one who gives you the courage and strength that you need. Get filled with His Power!!! We need His Spirit everyday. Let Him guide you in what you need!

  33. “But I keep praying to you, Lord, hoping this time you will show me favor. In your unfailing love, O God, answer my prayer with your sure salvation.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭69:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When everyone turns away from you, when even you fail yourself, His unfailing, never ending love remains!

  34. In this chapter it was talking about that we should give all of our sins to God and let him deal with it. He is worthy of praise all the time especially in our darkest moments.

  35. 13 “But I keep praying to you, Lord, hoping this time you will show me favor. In your unfailing love, O God, answer my prayer with your sure salvation.”

    HOPE!

Have you noticed after an impacting service, the subject seems easier to find! When we heard the sermon about the word “incredible” we realized how often we used said it, and now that we are activating, partaking, and sharing HOPE it is all the more visible. I pray that we are all encouraged and sharing HOPE through living and giving Jesus!

  36. “But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation. Deliver me out of the mire, and let not me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.” Psalm 69:13-14

We all have issues sometimes. There may be those that do not like our ways or us for whatever reason. As long as we have our Lord and Savoir to turn to, we will be fine. Those of the world may not like some of my ways, may make fun of me when I pray or am not in the world. I really do not care what people think as long as I am trying to do right by God. We cannot be true Christians and have worldly ways. I know God will deliver us and give us strength and hope! Thank you for your Love Jesus!

  37. 30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

31 This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

32 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

Oh he longs to hear your voice. Your voice is your unique praise to Him. Praise him. Bless his name. Sing unto the Lord. Let your song be that from your heart sang with your voice. It is your praise that magnifies Jesus.

  38. Psalms 69:30
Then I will praise God’s name with singing, and I will honor him with thanksgiving.

    Psalms 135:3
Praise the lord, for the lord is good; celebrate his lovely name with music.

    Psalms 145:1-3
[1]I will exalt you, my God and King,
and praise your name forever and ever.
    [2]I will praise you every day;
yes, I will praise you forever.
[3]Great is the lord! He is most worthy of praise!
No one can measure his greatness.

  39. 29 But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high. 30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. 31 This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.

O Lord I praise your name and exalt you high and magnify your word, because even in my darkest and hardest days you give me strength and shine your light on me. And give you thanks for everything you’ve done for me. We should each remember that the best thing you could ever do for the Lord is believe in him and worship and praise his name daily and exalt him high, because the Lord gave you life he saved you and no matter what he will never fail you.

  40. the insults of those who insult you have fallen on me. When I weep and fast, they scoff at me. When I dress in burlap to show sorrow, they make fun of me. I am the favorite topic of town gossip, and all the drunks sing about me. But I keep praying to you, Lord, hoping this time you will show me favor. In your unfailing love, O God, answer my prayer with your sure salvation.”
    ‭‭
I learned that in times like these the world could feel like it’s about to fall on you but if you pray to god and keep on being faithful then god will show mercy and answer your prayers

  42. 13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

Keep the faith regardless of the battles, because we are over comers, seek God in the good and bad times. If God is for us who could be against us.

  43. 14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

The mire is a murky place where papyrus reeds grow. They are used to make the paper that scribes would write on the daily events that would mark history. Like Gods creation. They serve a purpose. We were designed in Gods imagine to praise, serve and teach the next generation.

This is no easy feat. Jesus knew he was sending us as sheep before the wolves. Those intoxicated with the world will despise us. This is the mire and deep waters that the psalmist is talking about. If we didn’t go through the dark, dirty, painful process of growing in spite of the circumstances then we would not be strong enough to overcome. The deeper we go the stronger we become. It’s a process. God know that pulling us out prematurely would be like pulling a cake out of the oven before it rises. We can trust in the process that God is preparing us with.

  44. 1 Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
3 I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

Whenever we try to do things in the flesh, and leave Jesus out, the best of us become like ducks kicking and fighting with all we have , and trying our best to only let others see us looking calm and collected.

Jesus wants us to trust Him. To lean on Him. He wants us to want Him and to want to glorify Him. Whenever we try to do things out of our own selfishness, our flesh tries to be the one glorified and that is WRONG. The Word tells us that carnality is eminity with God.

  45. “But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation. Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭69:13-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Are we in good relationship with the Lord? there will be hard times and in those time we must trust the Lord. Build a healthy relationship with the Lord with prayer. Pray daily and speak with Him.

  46. 1 Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.

2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

3 I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.

5 O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

I know a lot of us have felt this from time to time in our life, but we don’t need to because we have hope. There are so many people out there living their lives thinking they have no hope, but they do and we need to let them know they don’t have to live without hope. Thank you Jesus that you are our hope.

  47. 5 O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

One of the best things about God is that even though He knows my foolishness He still loves me and desires to be my friend. He still desire to bless me. There is nothing I’ve done that is hidden from Him and He still willing to be in relationship with me.

  48. “I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭69:30, 32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Let the people of God be glad in their heart to seek you Lord daily and praise you for your all terrible works. I bless your name Jesus and give glory to you alone for you been so good to all of us thank you Jesus.

  49. 13But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

Prayer is our communication with God. If we want to grow stronger, we must not stop praying. It will help build you up and break walls down. It is the glue that holds us together. Never stop praying for it will always bring you out of trouble.

  50. 1 Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
3 I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

What a transparency cry and plead King David cried unto to the Lord. Similar to many of our cries to God as we face hardship trials. We must know that God allows it, to see how we handle them and grow out of the trials we face. Let us always seek and trust God and know that He is working for to make a greater us.

  51. I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

The Lord is my strength and my shield ; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped : therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
    Psalm28:7

  52. 7 Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.

9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
10 When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

19 Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.
20 Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.

    re·proach
    /rəˈprōCH/
    verb
    1. address (someone) in such a way as to express disapproval or disappointment.

There is so much disappointment and/or disapproval in this chapter. Although we say to stay positive, sometimes in our lives we go through periods of shame, disappointment, or disapproval, however, don’t let the disappointment define you. Make something out of the dismay. Bring something good out of the disapproval. Change a point of view from the disappointment. Through the shame, make a difference that changes. Don’t letthe reproach period be for nothing or be defining. Make a positive from the negative.

  53. Psalm chapter 69
I look at this chapter as prophecy. I see the King in pain but I see also The King of Kings also in pain. This was before The Lords prayer was spoken and written. The introduction was different.
20 Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. What happened in the garden Peter, James, and John were found sleeping.
21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. That happened at the cross and given to Jesus
May we stay in Jesus and pray and praise Him. For He is our Lord and Savior . May we seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness.

  54. “Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold. I have come into the deep waters; the floods engulf me. I am worn out calling for help; my throat is parched. My eyes fail, looking for my God. Those who hate me without reason outnumber the hairs of my head; many are my enemies without cause, those who seek to destroy me. I am forced to restore what I did not steal.

Answer me, Lord, out of the goodness of your love; in your great mercy turn to me. Do not hide your face from your servant; answer me quickly, for I am in trouble.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭69:1-4, 16-17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This psalm reminded me of one of my favorite songs from Hillsong United. I couldn’t help but the think of all the hard times we go through, the trying times, the heartache, all of it, yes, it sucks but it’s only for a season. It’s only for a moment and if we can just push through and know that out of these situations we gain strength, courage, spiritual power, and so much more than what the naked eye can see. But we can’t get to the great stuff without trusting him through the trying machine of the unknown.

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
    Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

  55. Psalm 69

6 Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord God of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.

  56. So in Psalms Chapter 69 verses 1-6 it’s talking about how Jesus Saves me from sinking in deep Waters and the floods weary me and made me Cry then those hate me would destroy me then I restored what was taken away then my sins were ashamed and confront led for my sakes from god of Israel

  57. 30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
31 This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
32 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

God highly values our praise. We sing praises the angels cannot sing and it glorifies and exalts Him high above the heavens!

  58. Psa 69:13  But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
Psa 69:14  Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

We all had a prayer similar to this one.
There’s people out there right now that’s given up on everything they ever tried and they’re finally turning or running to the one that can solve and problem. It don’t take long after calling on the name of Jesus and you’ll see issues and problems beginning to dissipate. If you ever need a check up from the neck up take a walk down memory lane and Jesus will show you exactly how you felt before you reached for him. Don’t give up.
