Psalm 30

I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.

11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lordmy God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

  1. 3 O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with .

This is a heart full of Thanksgiving prayers and worship for deliverance from a death. Especially when you know you’re not ready Are you not right with that, And he had giving you more time.

  2. 11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

It’s hard to see the light when you’re in the middle of darkness, to have hope with everything is going wrong but that is the most crucial time to hold on because we must not forget my God is not going to let us down. Things may not go our way but God will not let evil overtake us if we hold on. He may let things happen to test our faith or to encourage us but he will protect us in the end and turn our weeping into laughing.

  3. 5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

There comes a time we each have been in dire situations and not really knowing when the light at the end of the tunnel is coming. But the assurance of God has allowed peace to come in the midst of the trials. We have to be like the psalmist states, to know the God may get angry with us and when weeping in the middle of the night Joy is coming in the morning.

If we trust in God we will find the peace and joy of God in everything we do, there will never be a moment in time that we will not face trials, but the comfort of God will move us through every situation. We have to be willing to walk through the battle in order to experience the victory. And the greatest thing to embrace is that when we experience the victory. We will be able to live Jesus enough to show the attributes of Jesus once the adversity is over. We have to be willing to stand up in the face of the enemy and know that God’s hand will be upon us and keep moving us forward to be great witnesses for the kingdom and be ready for the great harvest.

  4. Verse 12 ERV “You wanted me to praise you and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever!” Same verse NKJV “To the end that my [f]glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.” Acts 4:20 ERV says “We cannot be quiet. We must tell people about what we have seen and heard.” Psalm 98:4 CEV “Tell everyone on this earth to sing happy songs in praise of the Lord.”

  5. Ps. 30 : 11-12 [ amp] You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; Yoy have put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness.
[12] To the end that my tongue and my heart and everything glorious within me may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God , I will give thanks to You forever.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 [ amp] To Everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven.
I refuse to be silent, O Lord I will enter his gates with Thanksgiving.
I just can’t stop praising his name!
For he is my God forever.

  6. 11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

Your sad times no longer have to be your sad times because God has given you joy. He will lift you up when you are down. He’s a God of rejoicing. Don’t feel down or cast out when you have a God who is the center of joy. I am glad for the God we serve. A God who will never let you down.

  7. 12 You have restored my honor. My heart is ready to explode, erupt in new songs! It’s impossible to keep quiet! Eternal One, my God, my Life-Giver, I will thank You forever. Voice

God’s mercies are new every day, so we have something new to sing about every day!

    Lamentations 3:
22 How enduring is God’s loyal love; the Eternal has inexhaustible compassion.

23 Here they are, every morning, new! Your faithfulness, God, is as broad as the day.

24 Have courage, for the Eternal is all that I will need. My soul boasts, “Hope in God; just wait.” Voice

    Psalm 96:1
O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth. KJV

  8. 1 I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

Because He has been so good to me, I will daily praise Him! He deserves it all. With Jesus we will always tread over our enemies!

  9. 2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS. OHHH LORD
    GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS!!!

  10. Since we are human we are gonna have emotional breakdowns and trials and troubles. But the HolyGhost can bring you out with victory in your soul. Thank you Jesus for being our rock and we sont have to stay down in the dumps!

  11. iLove the Kingdom
Psa 30:8 I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.
Psa 30:9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

Wow, look at this Psalm! David basically informs God that He needs him alive and that allowing him to die would not benefit the Kingdom. We don’t know what David was going through, but scholars believe David was very sick or going through something tremendous when he pens these words. Look at the words David writes and I want to paraphrase, “What are you going to profit in my death God? Are my bones from the grave going to praise you, are my bones from the grave going to teach folk truth?”

I once went to a funeral and the preacher tried to justify “God” taking the life of a young woman. He said, “Heaven needed another song bird to sing in the heavenly choir”… and I thought, “Where’s that in the Bible?”

This kind of thinking was not in the heart of King David. He reminded God if he died that He would be missing his praise and would be missing the preaching of truth. We should all take on the attitude of King David. We should all offer God something that he would “miss” if we were taken from the earth prematurely.

  12. Thank you Jesus for today, he is great , he is Holy, he is mighty …. The almighty the Lord big lords the king of kings . Hallelujah Jesus thank you

I will exalt you, Lord , for you rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me. O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you restored my health. You brought me up from the grave, O Lord . You kept me from falling into the pit of death.
    Psalms 30:1‭-‬3

  13. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    HE TURNED IT

    11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

There is much emphasis in our land right now about voting. Yes, it is a right, a privilege if you will. We are not under a physical kingdom law where one man controls everyone. However in the spiritual realm we are under ONE King. Not just a King but The KING of Kings. JESUS alone rules in the spiritual realm.

For this reason, voting for leaders of our land gives us opportunity to identify or deny our faith by who we support or vote for. Yes it is a secret ballot to everyone but JESUS. He knows the thought and intent of the heart, so surely he knows who we vote for.

TRUTH is whoever wins election is important to laws of the land, but the Laws of GOD are already settled. JESUS is the only one who can turn a souls mourning into dancing and strengthen us with gladness in times of trouble. When we invest our time in prayer and devotion to JESUS through HIS Word we cry unto him for healing, help and harmony.

Lets make this season a season of Prayer and not debate.

  14. 4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Thank you Lord for your mercy and grace. Even though you may get angry with us it is only for a moment. For if we endure through it, joy will be there.

  15. 10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.
    11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lordmy God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

No matter what happens in your life know that God is your helper. He will always be by your side so sing praise unto him for your trial is for a Moment.

  16. Psalm 30

1 I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

3 O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

7 Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

8 I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.

  17. in this chapter it was mainly about giving God the praise that he deserves. God deserves a lot that sometimes we cant offer. God loves us all very much and doesn’t care how much, but how much you care!

  18. 2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

    heal
    /hēl/
    Verb
(of a person or treatment) cause (a wound, injury, or person) to become sound or healthy again.

alleviate (a person’s distress or anguish).

    H4832
    מַרְפֵּא
    marpe’
English Equivalent: health, healing, remedy, incurable, cure, sound, wholesome, yielding

Healing can be a tricky thing. Healing usually has a time process attached to is, whereas miracles are instantaneous. He Ealing also doesn’t happen in one shot either. There are layers. There is a process. If the process is not respected or taken out of order your results lack integrity. What is you had a wound on your body and only the outside skin healed? You would have damaged tissue trapped inside. The inside has to be healed. In surgery they obviously have to stitch the inside back together before the they close the incision. Same with us. God is a Master Surgeon. The best times spent with God are when we’re doing the “dirty work” in prayer (which is the deep healing work that some people are scared to do).
There’s a possibility that sometimes our prayers for other things will not be answered because God will not stitch up the skin before He stitches up the deep incision. We need to work through, let go, and be healed of somethings before God will answer those other prayers. It could be those deep wounds holding us back or causing the issues of what our other needs are.
There is a process in HEALING. We owe it to God, ourselves, our loved ones, and the harvest God has called us to work with to respect the process and allow God to MAKE US WHOLE.

  19. 1:3 o lord thou has brought me up my soul from the grave, thou has kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
    —-
    Hallelujah 🙌🙌🙌
YOU DON’T KNOW LIKE I KNOW
    WHAT HE’S DONE FOR ME
YOU DON’T KNOW LIKE I KNOW HOW HE SET ME FREE
HE HEALED MY BODY, HE TOUCH MY MIND
HE SAVED ME, JUST IN TIME, i’M GONNA PRAISE HIS NAME, EACH DAY IT’S JUST THE SAME.
COME LET’S PRAISE HIM, LOOK WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE!!!!!

  20. Psalms 30:2 & 8
    2) O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
    8) I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.

So often when we think about HEALING, we think about physical HEALING. And I Thank You JESUS for all the times that I have cried out to you and made supplication to you that you have HEALED me physically. For by Your Stripes I am HEALED!!
But, He does so much more than HEAL us physically. He HEALS our hearts and minds, and He heals us spiritually.
I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have cried out and made supplications to the LORD, and He has HEALED my broken heart and binded up my wounds; or how He has HEALED my mind and my thinking and given me His PEACE that passeth all understanding; or how He has HEALED me spiritually when I felt like I was going the wrong direction or slipping away.

I AM SO THANKFUL TO JESUS FOR HEALING ME SO MANY TIMES AND IN SO MANY WAYS!! THANK YOU JESUS!!

    11) Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou has put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
    12) To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
Thank You JESUS that You have turned my mourning into dancing, and You have put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness — All Because You HEALED me!
O LORD my God, I will Sing Praise to thee and Give Thanks to thee for ever!!

  21. 2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

We as human beings carry a lot of baggage in our lives. It is the desire of the Lord that we be healed physically, emotionally and spiritually. In order for this to happen we must be real with ourselves, and we must let the Word of God and the Spirit of God work in us. We cannot hide from God, and we cannot lie to God. He sees all and knows all, so just be real.

God’s word brings healing as we declare it over our lives. When things don’t look the way we want them to, we must call those things that are not as though they were. This not only releases faith into the atmosphere, but it releases God to work in these areas.

Today, I call us healed physically, spiritually and emotionally. Today I declare the purpose and plan of God in our lives will not be stopped because of baggage, but we will lay that baggage aside, with the help of the Lord, and become who God wants us to be.

  22. Psalms 30
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

In everything I want to give you thanks.

  23. “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may endure for a night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭30:5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

    Hallelujah ❤️

I probably would’ve been dead by now if I had still be living my life according to my old sinful ways. But His love and mercy began calling me by my name through dreams. The type of dreams that put a fear and a reverence for the LORD JESUS. Today I am thankful for what and where He has us/me today! This is how I pray for the backslidden children is through their dreams. That they will answer to His call.
The LORD JESUS didn’t allow me to die in my sins. But His love drew me to Him❤️❤️

I am thankful, blessed, and highly favored of my Heavenly Father 🙌🙌

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭6:51‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  24. Psalm Chapter 30
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

In verse 12 a statement of faith that states I may sing praise to you. What a privilege we were given this morning. I will not be silent O Lord my God. I will give thanks unto thee for ever. Nothing shakes Him or is He surprised. Why should we. This is the day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it. Let us not leave His presence.

  25. 12 “To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.”

Don’t sit silent and not share of the greatness of Jesus! Share it will all! Give Jesus today!

  26. 4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

There are several great verses to comment on in this chapter but vs 5 speaks to me today. As I pray Bro Shatwell’s prayer and call out our children and grandchildren, I speak his favor over our lives, which according to this verse, speaks life to our souls. Each person must make their own choices, however, I believe God will not leave the unsaved alone or allow them to be content with where they are today. I truly believe he will make a way for us all to be saved and speak his favor and life over my loved ones. Thank you Jesus for your word and your promises!

  27. 5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

7 Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

8 I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.

This psalm has so many hidden nuggets of wisdom throughout it! This reminds of parenting… my mother was the disciplinarian in my household growing up. She would always show a stoic face while correcting us and dealing out the punishment, but on the inside you could tell that no matter the mistake I had made, that she loved me and after the punishment she would then say “I love you, no more how bad the offense, but God instructs is that we should train and correct our children so that we will learn how to resist the things that we know are not right”! Now as parent I completely understand your words and am thankful that she obeyed the word of God.
We may have to suffer the consequences for our bad choices, but He loves us and died for our sins, not His sins, so that we could have everlasting life!

  28. 6When I was prosperous, I said, “Nothing can stop me now!”

Yes, when we have everything we need we get comfortable. We feel like, we don’t need God or anything else. We rely on our wealth and materialistic items. Even we may have everything, humble yourself and continue to serve God. We always need God in our lives. Put your faith in God, and not in wealth.

  29. “O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:2>5

God is so great. David made mistakes but loved our LORD with all his heart. GOD knew this, and of course forgiveness was given. We should always praise our LORD and I thank you Jesus for this day!

  30. 30:3 O Lord you brought me up from Sheol
You spared me from among those going down the pit.
    ——
    Hallelujah
You don’t like I know, what he’s done for me🎶🎶🎶
    God is merciful

  31. 9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

We are made to praise and worship the Lord.
So we must ask ourselves everyday have I done what I am created for today?
    We must praise him

  32. 11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

As we received our miracle, let’s not forget to praise his for what he’s done. He heeled my body, he heeled my soul, he gave us purpose in life, we can’t forget to give him praise. God would not have our tongues lie idle while so many themes for gratitude are spread on every hand. Praise him all the time.

  33. “Sing to the LORD, O you His godly ones, And give thanks at the mention of His holy name.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭30:4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I can’t help but smile when someone says Thank You Jesus! He’s The Healer, The Provider, The Deliverer. There is none like Him, there is none above Him. I thank You Jesus for I am bought with a price. I pray His name Jesus is the most used word in our vocabulary.

  34. Jesus I’ll never forget !

3 O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

I will never forget where God has brought me from. My Dad use to tell me by the time I was 20 I would be dead or in prison….. BUT GOD!

    He brought me out!

I’m so glad my life reflects a praise song now instead of the country song I came from.

  35. “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,”
    Psalms 30:11 NLT

Jesus has turn our morning into joyful dancing. Rejoice children of the Lord because Jesus has given us a new day of life to breathe, rejoice because He Has clothe us with victory, and He bought us out of darkness into His marvelous light. So shout unto the Lord and make a joyful noise the Lord is great and greatly to be praise.

  36. “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,”(Psalms‬ ‭30:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

The Lord cares and understands our situation of our grief. He loves to see us filled with joy and not grief. ‭(Proverbs‬ ‭17:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬) “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. The Lord has given his people strength to do all things through him for there’s no excuse to not be full of joy. (”Psalms‬ ‭118:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬)“The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.

  37. 5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

God is slow to anger and great in mercy. That is one of the greatest blessings for us. This shows us his loving kindness, and his patience with us and gives us space to make things right to repent.

  38. 5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

I know this is the obvious scripture to go for, but I cannot stress enough how much this verse has gotten me through many a hard times. Anytime I have faced anything seemed impossible, hard times, deaths, stress, anxiety, this verse fits and helps to get through. “. . . weeping may endure for a night, . . .” To just remind yourself multiple times again and again this tid-bit helps to calm any situation! Remind yourself that it is only for a night, a phase, a short time compared to a lifetime! “. . . but joy cometh in the morning.”

  39. 11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth,

What the devil meant for evil God turned around for my good. God is the only one that turn a bad situation into a good one. You do not know, life, or love, or joy unless you have God.

  40. 10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.
    11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

Sometimes we do not need physical help but we are in desperate need of a pick me up. We do not need a physical healing to make us whole again but a spiritual and or emotional healing. Thanks be to God that He cares about us as a whole. He supplies what we need at the right moment.

  41. 4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

What a true statement that will always be true and forever. If you just lean to the father and look up to him and see that he is the one that is highest on the throne it should be easy to trust in Him and give him all your troubles and worries. You might be in a valley but my Bible says JOY comets in the morning.

  42. “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭30:11-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I’m so grateful Jesus didn’t leave the same way he found me. He thought I was worth saving. He is a way maker! He makes the impossible unto possible!

  43. 11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

What a confirmation! Although we may be going through some tough times and feel like we are mourning and all is defeated. This verse reminds us that gladness is coming! We will dance and rejoice because God will bring us out. Glory to God!
