Psalm 108

O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.

God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;

Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

10 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

11 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?

12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

  1. 4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

    5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

    Praise is more divine than prayer ;Prayer point the happy road to heaven. Praise is already there.

  2. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

    2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

    3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

    4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

    Hallelujah!!! I wake up early!!! Raise my head to the Heavens to see if I can catch a glimpse of your GLORY!!! I have no needs for I lack NOTHING!!! My loving God provides me with my every need or desire! My God is GOOD!! We need to learn to focus on the positive through out life. Life will always give you peaks and lows but if you focus on the blessings and promises of God that are always yeah and amen, you will find that life can be extremely joyful even through your grief. SO RISE UP AND RAISE YOUR HEAD!!!! Thank you Jesus Hallelujah!!!!

  3. 3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

    The Lord is great and should be praised greatly. If a believer goes to a ball game and hollers they should be heard giving praise and singing in church. There maybe be times when a believer speaks often of there grandchildren, special car, or anything (for example), which could or should be construed as giving thoes things more precedents. We will be judged for ever idle word and it is important to give more words of praise to the Lord.

  4. In the CEV this Psalm is captioned “With God on Our Side”…..guess what comes to mind???? Verses 12-13 “Help us defeat our enemies! No one else can rescue us. You are the one who gives us victory and crushes our enemies.” Boomshakalaka….

    Deuteronomy 28:7-12 CEV “The Lord will help you defeat your enemies and make them scatter in all directions. The Lord your God is giving you the land, and he will make sure you are successful in everything you do. Your harvests will be so large that your storehouses will be full. If you follow and obey the Lord, he will make you his own special people, just as he promised. Then everyone on earth will know that you belong to the Lord, and they will be afraid of you. The Lord will give you a lot of children and make sure that your animals give birth to many young. The Lord promised your ancestors that this land would be yours, and he will make it produce large crops for you. The Lord will open the storehouses of the skies where he keeps the rain, and he will send rain on your land at just the right times. He will make you successful in everything you do. You will have plenty of money to lend to other nations, but you won’t need to borrow any yourself.”

  5. Ps. 108 :12 -13 [ amp] Give the help against the adversary, for vain is the help of man.
    [ 13] Through and with God we shall do valiantly, For he is Who shall tread down our adversaries.
    Help is on the way !
    Jesus is our help!
    Call the name of Jesus he is there!
    Jesus is our rescuer and protecter!
    Ps. 60: 11-12 [ amp] O give us help against the adversary, for vain ( ineffectual and to no purpose) is the help or salvation of man.
    [12] Through God we shall do valiantly, for He it is Who shall tread down our adversaries.
    Give God the praise and glory!

  6. Psalm 108

    5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

    6 That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.

    7 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

    8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;

  7. 1God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

    Truly my heart is in a fixed placed. It is set on God and I will not turn away. When your heart is fixed you’re not concerned about the enemy. You know whatever he tries to throw your will not prevail. Our God still has all power. It’s not to late to get in on this. God is still saving even today. I will bless the Lord at all times.

  8. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
    2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
    3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

    David said his heart was fixed that he would sing and give Glory and praise to God. He set himself to awake early and to arise and give praises to God. That’s what made him a man after God’s own heart, he set his heart fixed upon God. Which means he remains solid that he was going to pray to give Glory no matter what. When we are out of it about what we are doing and we are determined that nothing is going to stop us, and nothing will stop us.

  9. 1 My heart is committed, O God: I will sing; I will sing praises with great affection and pledge my whole soul to the singing.

    2 Wake up the harp and lyre, and strum the strings; I will stir the sleepy dawn from slumber!

    3 I will stand and offer You my thanks, Eternal One, in the presence of others; I will sing of Your greatness among the nations no matter where I am. Voice

    I’ve heard the saying, ‘loud enough to wake the dead’, but David sang loud enough to wake the dawn!
    When your heart is committed and you pledge your whole soul to it, it doesn’t matter who is around, you’re going to do it anyway and with great affection.

  10. 13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

    Through God we can do all things. He will always bring the victory for His glory! Thank You Lord for victory today, we will praise and exalt You!

  11. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

    2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

    3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

    Lord I praise You. You are good You are Holy. You are amazing. Excellent. Holy. Wonderful. Glorious. Righteous. I Praise Your Name!

  12. “With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭108:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    With God’s help we can do mighty things…
    There are times in life that “we think” we can do anything with out God’s help, we are waiting for a grand disaster to happen. In my own experience I better think twice before doing anything with out taking it into prayer and asking for God’s help and guidance.
    Yes! when we have Gods help everything runs smoothly. It’s like having a new car that everything is running smoothly, but when you do things under your own understanding and your own strength, is like running on a old car with out oil. 😂 everything breaks down and run into many obstacles to get the car under a good working condition. When all we have to do is just ask God’s help. It don’t matter how big or how small the task is or the necessity is… get God on the line and tell Him what you need.

    “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:1-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  13. Thank you Jesus for today, praise God thy kingdom come thy will be done hallelujah

    Now rescue your beloved people. Answer and save us by your power. Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless. With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.
    Psalms 108:6‭, ‬12‭-‬13

  14. 12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

    When a person has a poverty mentality , it doesn’t matter how many times you help them , you can give them hand ups all you want but until they are delivered from that mentality it will be like you never helped at all.

    13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

    ONLY THROUGH GOD WE OVERCOME UNGODLY THINKING!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  15. 12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
    13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

    Through God all things are possible.

  16. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

    2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

    3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

    4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

    5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

    If our heart is fixed and our mind is made up, then our praise should show forth our love for him in all that we do. If our tongue speaks praise and worship, then we can give control of the one part of our body that takes the most to control. When we direct everything toward the kingdom of God we will be examples to the world what Jesus is and can be.

    It is the purpose of the church to be ready for the harvest and be ready to give what the world need in this end time. We need to be expressing the attributes of Jesus and love people. We can be the light of the world in this dark time. It is all about the willingness to give of ourselves and allow God to direct us in our paths. Be the church and give all we have to give to others.

  17. Psa 108:12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
    Psa 108:13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

    Wow, this scripture reveals when we are in trouble we need to turn to the Lord. What good is man’s help? It might seem as if we are surrounded, but we must always remember that there is always more for us than against us.

  18. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my

    13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

    When your heart, mind and soul is fixed on our Creator, there isn’t anything that we can’t do through Him.

  19. Live Jesus Give Jesus , ifwe dont live Jesus we CANT give Jesus. So we can go to church and pay our obligations and go to work. But all of this is in vain if we dont have the attitude and willingness to give Jesus. People should see Jesus in us!! We should live Jezus because we love it we yearn for it we long to feel his touch and see his face!

    Songs of praise😀
    Anything that will magnify his holy name.

  21. “O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.”
    Psalms 108:1 KJV

    I was once loss but you found me Jesus you bought me out of darkness into your marvelous light and you have now restored my life and have made me whole. I will sing and give praises for you Lord brought me out of this world and I’m no longer a slave to fear but I’m now a child of Christ.

  22. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

    When your heart is truly fixed on Him, there is nothing or nobody that can change that!

    “My heart is fixed, my mind’s made up
    No room, no vacancies, I’m all filled up
    His spirit lives in me
    And that’s the reason, I’m souled out
    Yes“ // Souled Out

  23. Psalms 108:1, “O GOD, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.”

    When our heart is fixed in God, it means we are fastened, secure, firm, stable, rooted, and anchored in God.
    So that, whether we are having a great day or going through a tough time, when our heart is fixed (fastened, secure, rooted, anchored) in God, we can always be Singing and giving Praise and Glory to His Holy Name.

    He’s done glorious things
    For this I”ll give Him praise!

    Hallelujah!
    Hallelujah!
    Hallelujah!
    You’re worthy of the praise!

  25. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    THROUGH GOD

    13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

    What does it mean to do something through GOD?

    It means that through Prayer in the Holy Ghost and Obedience to the Word of GOD we Follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit to testify that we did something through GOD.

    If I take the credit for a success or failure then the effort was not THROUGH GOD. It was through my knowledge, wisdom and energy. If it appears that I am losing a battle or my enemies are gaining ground or victory over me. Then I know it is through me and my ability and not THROUGH GOD.

    I repent, ask JESUS for direction and wait for HIM to answer or work it out. FAITH and PATIENCE are imperative to Serving the Kingdom THROUGH GOD.

  26. Psalms 108:4
    For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens.
    Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

    I could sing of your love forever

    Over the mountains and the sea,
    Your river runs with love for me,
    And I will open up my heart
    And let the healer set me free.
    I’m happy to be in the truth,
    And I will daily lift my hands:
    For I will always sing of when
    Your love came down.

    I could sing of your love forever,
    I could sing of your love forever,
    I could sing of your love forever,
    I could sing of your love forever.
    I could sing of your love forever.

    Oh, I feel like dancing
    It’s foolishness I know;
    But when the world has seen the light,
    They will dance with joy,
    Like we’re dancing now.

    Psalms 108:13
    With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.

    With God’s help we can overcome any obstacles.

    John 14:14
    Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!

  27. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

    A heart that is fixed does not waver. It is a must for us today-decide whom you will serve: God or this world. A fixed heart will carry us through times of adversity or times of goodness; through times of sickness or times of health; through times of plenty or times of want. No matter what comes, God is for us and will provide all our need, he will lead and guide us. Today my heart is fixed!

  28. Psalms 108. Message Translation
    Oh how I love the Word and to be able to commune with Jesus .
    What a privilege to have such a Savior who cares so much . I love serving Him …….David expresses so much in this chapter . I felt this way on Sunday ready to worship ready to go but God had other things in mind that day . A lesson of trust of friends , family and strangers. I look at David’s life and see the mountains and the valleys and even his questioning if God had left him. He found himself in so many situations ; Yet he still remains faithful and knows without a doubt God is with him. Yes with my whole heart I will give praises to God and thanks for His faithfulness
    Yes wake up soul stay alert and always ready to praise God . No matter where you find yourself there is always a song that can be sung.

    1-2 I’m ready, God, so ready,
    ready from head to toe.
    Ready to sing,
    ready to raise a God-song:
    “Wake, soul! Wake, lute!
    Wake up, you sleepyhead sun!”
    3-6 I’m thanking you, God, out in the streets,
    singing your praises in town and country.
    The deeper your love, the higher it goes;
    every cloud’s a flag to your faithfulness.
    Soar high in the skies, O God!
    Cover the whole earth with your glory!
    And for the sake of the one you love so much,
    reach down and help me—answer me!
    7-9 That’s when God spoke in holy splendor:
    “Brimming over with joy,
    I make a present of Shechem,
    I hand out Succoth Valley as a gift.
    Gilead’s in my pocket,
    to say nothing of Manasseh.
    Ephraim’s my hard hat,
    Judah my hammer.
    Moab’s a scrub bucket—
    I mop the floor with Moab,
    Spit on Edom,
    rain fireworks all over Philistia.”
    10-11 Who will take me to the thick of the fight?
    Who’ll show me the road to Edom?
    You aren’t giving up on us, are you, God?
    refusing to go out with our troops?
    12-13 Give us help for the hard task;
    human help is worthless.
    In God we’ll do our very best;
    he’ll flatten the opposition for good.

  29. With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes. (‭Psalms‬ ‭108‬:‭13‬ NLT)

    Thankful to serve a Mighty God! We WILL do might things and see more of this in the days to come. We Have The VICTORY!

  30. 5 Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
    13 With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.
    Psalms 108:5 and 13 NLT

    O Lord there is nothing you can’t do! With you Lord there is victory, miracles signs and wonders. God you saved us when we were in our darkest and lowest points, you saved us in our battles. Let your hearts and minds be with the Lord, for anything is possible with him. Give all your praises and glory to the Lord for he deserves all! Don’t let this evil world fool you into what is wrong, don’t let temptation guide you in the wrong, let us push those things aside and live a righteous life with the Lord.

  31. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

    We should always have our hearts fixed upon the things of God and his kingdom instead of it being fixed upon the things of this world, and we should also let his praises flow from ours heart instead of just being motions.

  32. 13With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.

    We can do all things with God. No matter how big the problem seems, with God, its a simple task. All problems will be solved, worries go away, and peace and joy comes.

  33. “With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.”
    Psalms 108:13
    Through these days of trials my strength comes from God. Today one of my friends is hours away to going to Jesus. I am so thankful she is such a strong Christian and has the Holy Ghost. This is what helps me, knowing she will be with our Lord and Savior and so much better off in Heaven. I thank you Lord for this day!

  34. 12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

    13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

    We can always pray to God with assured faith and hope, knowing that he will help us in time of need. But we can also, pray to him for all the blessings of his salvation to us. We can be sure that in him are safe and secured in his hands, because his is faithful to his promise and covenant. Praise God for his mercy for us.

  35. “Only you give us victory and crush our enemies.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭108:13‬ ‭CEV

    Man will always disappoint you. No matter what. If not now…just wait. I’ve even disappointed people. It comes with a high price to pay when it comes to those consequences. I’ve lost, you have lost. It’s part of maturity. But, when you put your hope in Jesus Christ alone. You’ll see His faithfulness throughout your life. Just think from years past. Hallelujah! We are blessed.

    “By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭41:11‬ ‭KJV

    ‘Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me.’

  36. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

    My heart is fixed on the Lord! Not that our hearts are fixed because they were broken, but fixed like a telescope fixed on a cluster of stars. Set in a certain direction. Thank you Jesus for setting my course!

  37. 4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

    I believe that people’s praise may change for the better if we all truly understood God’s mercy. It is that many do not comprehend what price God has paid. And what weight of debt is on our lives because of sin, but his mercy. We should pray that God gives revelation and understanding to the people of what His mercy means to us. It is his love demonstrated being compassionate about us. And he pays the price, holds off on judgement, extends his grace, and gives space for one to repent.

  38. Psalm 108
    13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

    This statement is not only for the old Testament but for today also.
    In the old testament Judges 7:8. So the people took provisions in their hands, and their trumpets. And he sent all the rest of Israel every man to his tent, but retained the 300 men. And the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.
    Judges 7:20 Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the jars. They held in their left hands the torches, and in their right hands the trumpets to blow. And they cried out, “A sword for the LORD and for Gideon!”
    Judges 7:22 When they blew the 300 trumpets, the LORD set every man’s sword against his comrade and against all the army. And the army fled as far as Beth-shittah toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel-meholah, by Tabbath.
    In the six day June 5, 1967 to June 10, 1967 Israel won the battle and acquired Land and the Temple Mount. It was over whelming for the Israel for the forces of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria out numbered them in fire power and troops and tanks.
    In Jesus we may be few but in God we are mighty.

  39. Judah is my lawgiver

    8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;

    Some folks I talk to about God say that the reason they don’t go to church is that the people at the church are too judgmental. What I have recognized Is that people judge themselves and their attitude and walk with God reflect it. The scripture here says that Judah is the lawgiver. You don’t have to judge whether someone is right or not, Judah does it for us. Praise will tell the tail every time. Just like in the valley of Achor, you can’t praise when you got sin in the camp. So let Judah be the judge. He is always right.

  40. “I will praise and give thanks to You, O LORD, among the people; And I will sing praises to You among the nations.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭108:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

    Worship and praise aren’t only reserved for our house or the church. It should be engaged anywhere we go! It’s a wonderful and powerful thing for someone to say Amen, or Praise God, or Thank You Jesus in public. Some may see it as random or unnecessary but it engages and strengthens our faith throughout the day and gives honor to the Most High. I thank God We have the freedom to proclaim His name wherever we go. I pray we dare to worship and praise Him throughout the day in public, showing the world we are unashamed of our God.

  41. 1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
    2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
    3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

    My heart is fixed, my mind made up that I am a praiser. We were created to praise God in the beauty of holiness and that is what we should fix our hearts to do. Praising God encompasses several things pertaining to our words, actions, thoughts, sight, etc. All of our being must align with Him and exalt Him.

  42. 3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

    4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

    5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

    Jesus deserves our highest praise! There is no other God like Him in the universe. He reigns alone.

  43. 4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

    Justice, is when we receive what we deserve. Grace is not getting what we deserve and mercy is getting what we absolutely don’t deserve.

    We honestly don’t deserve anything from God. He has truly blessed us in ways we may never fully understand. Every morning we wake up is a blessing and his mercies are brand new. Weeping may last through the night but joy comes in the morning. It’s a flipping of the page to start a new chapter. A brand new opportunity to follow the Lord with nothing holding us back.

    “22Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
    Because His compassions fail not.
    23They are new every morning;
    Great is Your faithfulness.” (Lam 3:22-23)

  44. 12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

    It is a common misconception among Christians to believe we can defeat sin or the devil or situations by our own strength or our own might or our own wisdom.

    We continually try to do without God in our lives. Especially in this country, American are so privileged compared to others in the world. The average American lives 100% better than 50% of the rest of the world’s population. And so we tend to take small things for granted. We risk developing a self-sufficient attitude that goes against Gods will for us.

    We are foolish to depend on man or ourselves instead of God. I’m not saying God doesn’t use men to reach us and speak to us, but we need to put everything thru the Biblical filter.

    If it’s not supported by His word then, it probably isn’t from God.

  45. 3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
    4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

    Let your praise and songs be heard loud and clear among the people and nations. Let all hear who you and I praise. God’s love and mercy is greater than anything we can imagine.

  46. 12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

    13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

    As I continue to read the words David spoke sang prayed unto the Lord I’m reminded once again how he continually trusted in God for every situation. He never second guessed the Lord. David again goes to seek ye first the Kingdom and knows God shall provide in every situation. I believe this was a word for myself today even though I’m a day behind on the blog. I believe this particular word is for me. And whomever reads this.

  47. 3 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
    4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.

    12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
    13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

    Through Him we will do valiantly, we shall do great, we will be mighty, . . . Through Him!! He will always be there to take care of our issues, our problems, our troubles, and our enemies!!
