1 Chronicles 29

Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the Lord God.

Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.

Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal:

The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the Lord?

Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king’s work, offered willingly,

And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the Lord, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

10 Wherefore David blessed the Lordbefore all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

15 For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.

16 O Lord our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.

17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

18 O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:

19 And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.

20 And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the Lord your God. And all the congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the Lord, and the king.

21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings unto the Lord, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:

22 And did eat and drink before the Lordon that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the Lord to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.

23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

24 And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.

25 And the Lord magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

26 Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

27 And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.

28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.

29 Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,

30 With all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.

    Willingly: one’s free will
From the day God set Adam and Eve in the Garden of Econ has given man the choice to serve Him willingly. Power of Choice. Whether it be financially or of self or anything you may possess . Willingly is not out of obligation. The scripture says again in this passage with a perfect heart . Why give if it is not by choice
and joyful . If you give out of obligation it becomes a task if you give willingly it is truly a love a passion to what you are giving to. No matter if it is financial or of self. I find it so true in relationships that begin to fail is because giving to one another became a task and no longer a love or passion. Somewhere something became habitual, a task thus relationships fall apart or its no longer with joy in serving or a pleasure to be giving. This the same in our giving to God with joy and with willingness I truly want to give . The word says God loves a cheerful giver. Not a task not demanded but giving willingly. It will make a difference in how you give and how you live. Awe GIVE & LIVE JESUS!

  4. The end of verse 5 in MSG says “……..And now, how about you? Who among you is ready and willing to join in the giving?” Are we ready and willing to join in the giving, not only monetarily; but, our time, our effort, our attention and focus?? We are blessed to be a blessing as everything belongs to the Lord and we are simply giving back what He has graciously blessed us with. Verses 17-18 CEV says “But we are happy, because everyone has voluntarily given you these things. You know what is in everyone’s heart, and you are pleased when people are honest. Always make us eager to give, and help us be faithful to you, just as our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob faithfully worshiped you.”

Verse 19 is David’s prayer for Solomon MSG “And give my son Solomon an uncluttered and focused heart so that he can obey what you command, live by your directions and counsel, and carry through with building The Temple for which I have provided.” We have to get everything else out….all the clutter, distractions, and anything else that is causing us to lose our focus. We have to LIVE it, if we want to GIVE it.

  6. 14. But who am I and who are my people that we can offer up anything to You so willingly? All our offerings come from You, so we can give You nothing that isn’t already Yours.

    16. O Eternal One our God, we realize that all this abundance, all that will build Your temple for Your holy name, Is from Your hand already. Everything is Yours.

Which is easier, to give someone a hundred of your dollars, or return to them a hundred dollars they dropped and you both know is theirs anyway?
That’s the way it is with giving to God – it came from Him, it belongs to Him, and He saw you when you saw it fall from His ‘pocket’.
Maybe instead of “giving tithes and offerings”, we should call it “returning tithes and offering”.

  7. 1Chron. 11-12 [ amp] Yours , O Lord , is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty for all that is in the heavens and the earth is Yours, Yours is the kingdom , O Lord, and Yours it is to be exalted as Head over all.
[12] Both riches and honer come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hands are power and might; in Your hands it is to make great and to give strength to all.
Your never to old or young to do will.
To humble yourself and have a willing heart to give.
Everything that I own belong to Jesus.
He will supply all our needs.

  8. 14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

All that we have belong to God. Anything we have we should be able to willingly sacrifice it for God. That includes our time, talent, and treasure. We must daily consecrate ourselves and willingly give of ourselves for His Kingdom so we can serve Him with an upright heart.

  9. 14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
15 For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.

We are all here on borrowed time, we own nothing and nothing is due to us. What we have, is but for a time and a short loan while we live on earth. Our families, jobs, homes, friends….We are charged with taking care of what God gives us during this time. When we understand this, it can put us in our place to appreciate and take care of these things while we are alive here.

  10. So Solomon took the throne of the Lord in place of his father, David, and he succeeded in everything, and all Israel obeyed him.
    1 Chronicles 29:23 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/1ch.29.23.NLT

Solomon watched his father intently and learned from him. Great training and a relationship with God is what made Solomon so successful.

  11. 23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

It is amazing when you give everything to God during your life, when it comes time to pass the mantle or the throne, David left a legacy for Solomon to follow and the greatest of all of it God blessed and magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of Israel. When you follow the ways of God you will be placed in a place of great position to be blessed of God and Solomon was in such position when he was made king over Israel.

We have to make sure that the hyphen between the dates of our life are packed full of the things of God so that when we expire we can pass to our children and so on. The greatest thing we can do for our future generations is teach them the things of god and the kingdom. If we train up a child when he is young, so when he grows old he will not depart from those ways. We have a great responsibility to pass the commandments of God to our children. So we have to seek first the kingdom of God and all his righteousness and everything that we need will be added.

  12. I love the word! This reading shouts out….be ready!!! David was continuously getting ready for the Lord. Preparation after preparation going on every day! Taking much pride in taking care of the Lords business.

  13. 11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

God is great, powerful, glorious, victorious and majestic. He is our creator and owner of ALL in earth in and heaven. What a mighty God we serve, all we have comes from God. So when the time comes to give, we must give joyfully for it already belongs to God, and He knows your heart. So bring your very best before Him everyday and know that God is head above all!

  14. “But why should we be happy that we have given you these gifts? They belong to you, and we have only given back what is already yours.

Our Lord God, we have brought all these things for building a temple to honor you. They belong to you, and you gave them to us. But we are happy, because everyone has voluntarily given you these things. You know what is in everyone’s heart, and you are pleased when people are honest.”
    ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:14, 16-17‬ ‭CEV‬‬

Nothing belongs to us. When we give to the Lord we are only giving back what is already his. He is looking for not only the ability to give but also the willingness to give .

  15. 9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

Hallelujah!!! Glory to God!!! The moment we come to the revelation that all we have is because of Jesus, then we will have no problems giving it all back to him. Every penny that you think you earn because of your work belongs to God. Because if you didn’t have health you couldn’t have earned it. God blessed us daily, from the moment we wake up to the last second we close our eyes to sleep, God is blessing us!!! We need to see those blessings and take note of them, that way giving will seem like the biggest joy on earth. I pray that the same spirit that moved on Israel during the time of building the temple hits POFW for we need to expand our tents for the incoming of the revival that is about to take place. The world is getting more and more out of control and people are searching and yearning for a safe place to go with their children and be ministered to. Our Phase 2 can not longer wait. I know what you’re thinking, “but we still have empty seats”. Think back to our old campus and how quickly we filled the temple that we held 3 services per Sunday and the were people standing up on Sunday nights. It happened in a matter of a couple of months. We need to envision the purpose that God has for POFW. We need to ignite the fire of passion for the Glory of God. May the Lord give you a burning desire for those souls awaiting to be called to come to the house of the Lord. For a day in His courts is better than a thousand else where. Hallelujah!!! EXPAND!!!! MAKE ROOM!!! FOR REVIVAL IS HERE!!!

  16. 18 O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, and POFW, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:

So that we may show unto the world your marvelous works and how GREAT YOU ARE O LORD!!! THERE IS NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU DADDY!!!

  17. 1Then King David turned to the entire assembly and said, “My son Solomon, whom God has clearly chosen as the next king of Israel, is still young and inexperienced.

When first come to God, we all are inexperienced no matter our age. It takes time to mature spiritually. With maturity comes willingness to serve praise, worship and serve in his kingdom.

  18. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
OUR ATTITUDE AS WE GIVE TO JESUS

9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

A willing offering represents a “perfect heart”. Pride is the root or birthplace of all sin. When Israel saw the Leadership give willingly, joyfully and generously it became contagious and effective. When we give to the work of GOD, either General Offerings to maintain our house of worship or to Missions to assist in bringing the Gospel to the lost or a Building Find to build a larger temple.

Our attitude of how willing we are to sacrifice and give to GOD reveals how perfect our heart is. The key to obtaining and maintaining this ATTITUDE is found in verse:

12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

King David confesses that all that has been given came from GOD in the first place. GOD is well able to replenish and restore all resources that we offer and give to HIM. They belong to HIM anyway. This revelation and acknowledgement releases us from ownership and opens our willing heart to give generously and perfects our heart.

  19. 11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

When we give we should do it with a willing heart. For all things on earth belongs to the Lord, we are just give them back what belongs to him. Praise belongs to him worship belongs to him and we belong to him.

  20. I love how David refers to the Lord as ‘my God’ and after the people willingly gave he says ‘our God’.

9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

The perfect heart worships God with giving of their precious stones, gold and silver, as well as their time and talents. All together they will build the house of God and serve him, each providing these talents and treasure as they are able to give.

  21. 25 And the Lord magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

The Lord magnified Solomon, is what stands out to me. All of our own wisdom is from the Lord and we need to give credit to the Lord rather than to ourselves.

  22. I will bless the lord at all time
I will bless the lord at all times
I will bless the lord at all time
    He is god!!! So good!!
Each and every day of my life
I’ll bless the Lord, for he is good.

Love!! Love is the answer, love for God
And the revelation that He first loved us is what moves
(Us) the church, his people , the body to want to serve the Lord
    And reach others…
when we love God, everything is voluntary
And if something is asked of us, – still , should be done with a willing heart.

  23. 9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

Joy was in the heart of the people because of the attitude which they gave of their goods for the building of the temple.

Our attitude makes all the difference in the world. If we give begrudgingly, we might as well kept our offering, because God cannot and will not bless that attitude. If we only have little, but give it willingly, with a joyful heart, God will turn that around and bless us abundantly. It’s all in the attitude.

  24. I Chronicles 29:17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

Proverbs 11:20 They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

Acts 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

  25. 1 Chronicles 29:14 & 16-17
    14) But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

    16) O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.
    17) I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

    “It’s A Heart Thing”
Since all things come from God, when we give back to God, we are only giving back to Him what already belongs to Him. So then GIVING becomes a HEART thing. (He tries the HEART).
David willingly (voluntarily, readily, cheerfully, happily, gladly, enthusiastically, freely) offered his things with an upright (honest, righteous, good, proper, correct) HEART, and he was joyful for the people offered willingly (voluntarily, readily, cheerfully, happily, gladly, enthusiastically, freely) to the Lord too.
When giving, David understood that the attitude and condition of one’s HEART was more important than the amount of the offering in one’s hand.
Our willingness to give to God says a lot about the condition of our HEART.

I believe the Word found in 2 Cor. 9:7 comes more alive to us today.
“Every man according as he purposeth in his HEART, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity, for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
    IT’S A HEART THING!!
So whatever you purpose (intend, plan, decide, desire) in your HEART to give to God, do it with a willing (voluntary, ready, cheerful, happy, glad, enthusiastic, free) HEART.

  26. 9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It is a cheerful giver that is blessed by God. One that is willing to sacrifice.

But with all the needs this works presents, how do we continue to cheerfully give?

14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

By remembering it does not belong to us to start with. Everything we are and all that we have belong to Him!

The ability to give in itself is a gift from God!

  27. “Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.”
    ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

David recognizes his position as king. Handing over the kingdom to his son Solomon.
But knowing who and where The LORD is , is key above all!!! Without our GOD in our lives we know that we are nothing but dirt. I love the way The LORD is exalted and magnified in this chapter.
We should always(daily) exalt and magnify HIS Holy name🙌

    Hallelujah!!!

“Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭118:28-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    ‘I exalt thee x2’
    ‘O, LORD’

  28. “Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.”
    ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Preparation for the next generation is very important. Just as we hope to leave our loved ones assets that will be beneficial to them when we pass, we should make sure they are prepared spiritually. Making sure those around us know how to pray, how to worship, how to love, and how to give. I thank God He has surrounded me with teachers, leaders, and mentors that have helped me to grow spiritually. I pray we continue to grow as leaders not only for ourselves but to teach the next generations

  29. iLove the Kingdom
1Ch 29:12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

The Lord is the One who gives riches, honor, power, might, and strength. David is very clear in giving God all the glory and honor (even in his old age and after everything he had been through). This is one of the reasons I believe David was one of the greatest and beloved people of all time. He is considered a man after God’s own heart and rightfully so. Thank you David for your faithfulness and your example. We know you were not perfect, but your prophetic words of hope give us all strength!

  30. Thank you Jesus Christ for today – thy kingdom come thy will be done

Yours, O Lord , is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord , and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength. “O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name!

The depths of the seas and the universe
    How far does it reach

Still You spread Your arms out upon a cross for us
And the life You gave, yeah, You gave it all for love

    Your name is glorious
We lift You up higher, higher
Come see what God has done
And lift Him up higher, higher

    Your name is glorious
We lift You up higher, higher
Come see what God has done
And lift Him up higher, higher

We will sing, we will sing, we will sing, over again
We will bring the highest praise to the King, sing it again
We will sing, we will sing, we will sing, over again
We will bring the highest praise to the King, sing it again
    Sing it again

    Your name is glorious
We lift You up higher, higher
Come see what God has done
And lift Him up higher, higher

    Your name is glorious
We lift You up higher, higher
Come see what God has done
And lift Him up higher, higher

We will sing, we will sing, we will sing, over again
We will bring the highest praise to the King, sing it again
We will sing, we will sing, we will sing, over again
We will bring the highest praise to the King, sing it again
We will sing, we will sing, we will sing, over again
We will bring the highest praise to the King, sing it again
We will sing, we will sing, we will sing, over again
We will bring the highest praise to the King, sing it again
    Sing it again

    Your name is glorious
We lift You up higher, higher
Come see what God has done
And lift Him up higher, higher

  33. “O Lord God of Abraham, Issac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee: And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep the commandments, they testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision. And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the Lord your God. And all the congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the Lord, and the king.” 1 Chronicles 29:18 – 20

David loved our Lord so intensely and wanted to make sure his kingdom and son blessed God as he did. This reminded me of Pastor Watts of how he loves the Lord and how he wants us all to have salvation and be true to our Lord. We all need the passion that Pastor has for the Lord Jesus Christ! Thank you Jesus for this day.

  34. “Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole and blameless heart they had offered freely to the LORD. King David also rejoiced greatly.

I know also, my God, that You test the heart and delight in uprightness and integrity. In the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. So now with joy I have seen Your people who are present here, make their offerings willingly and freely to You.”
    ‭‭1 CHRONICLES‬ ‭29:9, 17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

There is joy in sacrificial giving. They didn’t hold back. They didn’t murmur and complain that it was too much. They wholeheartedly, freely with great joy offered their sacrifice. And the result was they were full of joy.

  35. 11 Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.
    1 Chronicles 29:11 NLT

O Lord what a mighty father you are to us! You gave us life, you bring us strength and joy. Lord you bring us victory after every battle we face and you give us peace. Let us his children give all our sacrifices to him let us go to him in praises and worships unto him. Let us remember who gives us each blessing and miracle, the one who gives us everyday. Lord thank you for everything you do thank you for giving us life and giving us a chance to speak your word and live like you. Let us walk and talk like the Lord let us give our all for him!

  36. it all came from you! It was all yours in the first place! I know, dear God, that you care nothing for the surface—you want us, our true selves—and so I have given from the heart, honestly and happily. And now see all these people doing the same, giving freely, willingly—what a joy!

God wants all of you not just part of you. He wants all your worship he wants all your praise he wants all your admiration. If your broken that’s okay he’ll take you broken but when he takes you he’ll take every piece so he can put you back together.

  37. ““O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name! But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us! We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace.”
    ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:13-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬
David knew this was true because he knew that all things come from God, and whatever they gave to God was His own to begin with.

  38. 9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

When we give unto the lord we have to make sure we do it with joy and happiness. We can just offer god a dead offering or praise. We must be willing to do it and not having to be forced. It puts joy in his heart when he knows that we are willingly giving. It’s much easier to willing give then be forced. No one ever wants to be forced. Everyone loved to make someone proud. It makes god proud when we give into him. Regardless of what we may be going through we must stand strong and never forget to be willing

  39. 1 Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the Lord God.

As David set a good example to all Israel, now he reminds them that, all that he has offered to the Lord, has been, not from constraint, or for show; but because he had set his affection to the house of God, and to God himself. Thought he could never do enough towards promoting that good work. He reminds them that, those who would draw others to good, must lead the way themselves. So we must lead by example to lead anybody to to Christ. We must reflect the love of God in us. Let the Light of Jesus be reflected on us.

  40. ““O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name!”
    ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:13‬ ‭NLT

We magnify your name And worship your Holy name. We will sing a new song of praise to you God worthy of praise and honor. You are a good and a merciful God bless be your name.

  41. “And the Lord exalted Solomon in the sight of all Israel, and he gave Solomon greater royal splendor than any king in Israel before him.”
    ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:25‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Let full fill his commands and promises and let us not just go for the blessing of the Lord and not build relationship and love for God.

  42. Legacy

25 And the Lord magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

I have heard it said that a real legacy is not what you make of yourself but what you make of other people. The first place to teach is your own family. When your son accomplishes great things it is a reflection of the leadership he was given so the victory is shared. David have Solomon what he never had himself which is what a good father loves to do. We need to take this example and really pour into our children and leave a real legacy.

  43. Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal: The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the Lord ?
    1 Chronicles 29:3‭-‬5 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/1ch.29.3-5.KJV

Leaders lead by example. He didn’t just asked the people so give but was the first one to give willingly. The key to it was that he has set his affection to the house of God. That’s were the willingness came from.

  44. 13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

His name is the one things that can tear down walls, his name is the one thing that breaks every single chain of addiction, his name is that one thing that makes every demon and demonic force Trimble and hide, his name is the things that we can use whenever we are in trouble and be saved and we should never take for granted what god has given us but we should always want to bring glory to his name.

  45. 3 Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.
4 Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal:

Beyond basic tithes, what extra have you given back to the kingdom??? Giving back does not always mean strictly of your money, but it also refers to people’s time, their talents and their treasures! Give unto God what you have and you will see that he will not forsake you but turn around and continually bless you!!
