Psalm 94

O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

They break in pieces thy people, O Lord, and afflict thine heritage.

They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;

13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17 Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.

19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

  1. Thank you Jesus Christ for today , thy kingdom come thy will be done

O Lord , the God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, let your glorious justice shine forth! Arise, O Judge of the earth. Give the proud what they deserve.
    Psalms 94:1‭-‬2

  2. But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it. To me this means the people who do right will stay with God at judgment. They will praise God the rest of eternity.

  3. Psalm 94

1 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

3 Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

5 They break in pieces thy people, O Lord, and afflict thine heritage.

6 They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

7 Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

  4. Verses 5-15 MSG “They walk all over your people, God, exploit and abuse your precious people. They take out anyone who gets in their way; if they can’t use them, they kill them. They think, “God isn’t looking, Jacob’s God is out to lunch.” Well, think again, you idiots, fools—how long before you get smart? Do you think Ear-Maker doesn’t hear, Eye-Shaper doesn’t see? Do you think the trainer of nations doesn’t correct, the teacher of Adam doesn’t know? God knows, all right—knows your stupidity, sees your shallowness. How blessed the man you train, God, the woman you instruct in your Word, Providing a circle of quiet within the clamor of evil, while a jail is being built for the wicked. God will never walk away from his people, never desert his precious people. Rest assured that justice is on its way and every good heart put right.” Once again Numbers 32:23 MSG “But if you don’t do what you say, you will be sinning against God; you can be sure that your sin will track you down.” God sees your heart and the intent, purpose and attitude in which you do all things.

  5. 19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

Our thoughts can be healthy or toxic. We must guard the mind and allow God’s presence cover it . Just one statement, one word can cause your thoughts to go in a dis ray . The enemy tries to destroy people through the mind . We must continue to cast away every thought that is not of God .

Philippians 4:8, KJV: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any praise, think on these things.”

    Isaiah 26:3

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”

    Psalm 19:14

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”

  6. 7 Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

As we look at the world in which we live in today, this scripture describes it very well. Many that think that God does not see their evil and wickedness, or in other words their atheistic mind set, that will not be judged. But as the Bible tells us, that every man is appointed once to die and then judgment. We as the church have to continue to trust God to allow the church to be blessed. Even when the world is coming against us. Remember that no weapon formed against us will prosper. We have have total victory through Jesus Christ and we win. The church will be triumphant in the end. The only possible negative is how many will we save through our outreach before the trump of God sounds and the church body is taken out of this world. We have to continue to strive for each and every soul that we can regardless of what the world tells us. It’s about living Jesus to give Jesus. Let’s be bold!!!

  7. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
Psa 94:7  Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

The majority of folks who do evil either believes God winks at their evil deeds, or don’t care or realize that He literally is watching. Some might try to cover their deeds by doing them in darkness, but in today’s society it’s done blatantly and out in the open.

  8. Psalm 94:12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;

Discipline is often followed by tears, so it seems surprising when the Bible associates discipline with happiness ! While we may feel ashamed when the Lord convicts our heart of wrongdoing, we need to recognize that God’s correction is ultimately for our good. He wants us to do what is right because he loves us.

Give us ears to hear and eyes to see the truth of His ways.

Thank God for His mercy and grace.

  9. 3 Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

Looking at how the world is operating today, more specifically the United States I have been curious about these very same things that the psalmist is asking here. Wondering how long all this anger and hatred is going to go on where people running around hurting each other for absolutely no purpose other than what they feel is justified. But then I’m reminded that the Lord is merciful and endureth for a long time so these people will either repent and turn from their ways or God will deal with them when the time comes. so we will continue to evangelize and continue to reach out to those that are hurting and work towards the kingdom.

  10. 22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
All of things that we my have at our disposal to protect us can be useful. However when we consider the big picture, there is nothing that can compare to our ultimate defence, which is the authority and plan of the Lord.

  11. “In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My thoughts can consume me if I am not careful! It is important to daily take everything in prayer unto GOD. To be reminded that it is HIM ALONE in where He gives me peace that surpasses all understanding. Whether it be problems at work, in relationship with others, fear of the unknown, whatever it may be. I must give it all over to GOD. It is in Him alone that the battle of the mind will cease. Believing, standing, accepting, and receiving His truth for my life is vital in every aspect in my life. I will not be deceived by the lies of the enemy.
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  12. “In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If you are not grounded in the Lord your mind can play tricks on you and have you doubting yourself. That’s why it is vital that we stay connected to Jesus every day by prayer, reading our Bible and speaking your heavenly language.

  13. 1 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

That simple, they may escape this world justice but no one escapes DIVINE JUSTICE!!!! There is no need to take things into your own hands the Lord, thy God, Jesus will come to judge all the wickedness of this world!!!! The day will come when the righteous will not be forsaken. Let God take care of things and as they think they’re winning, we know the outcome of the book!!! At the end JESUS CHRIST WINS!

So fear not!!! Just make sure you are in the right team!!!

23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

  14. 22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

When chaos arises, just keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He will always be our firm foundation!

  15. 12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;
13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

It s much better to be corrected here and now and have the chance to repent and get right with God than to head the wrong way in life and be lost and undone without him. Help us hide your word and your law in or hearts so we don’t sin against you.

  16. Psalm 94

    19) In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

    22) But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

    Praise God!!

    Hallelujah!!

  17. 11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
    12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;
13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

God knows everything about you for he is the one that made you. Someday we will be judged for the things we’ve done on earth teach your children the Commandments of the Lord.

  18. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    TRUST IN JESUS

22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

One of the most productive benefits of a daily relationship with JESUS is that we have WISDOM as a friend and counsel to our every choice and action if we desire. This privilege becomes especially beneficial when problems of people rise against us.

There are certain situations that we need to take action immediately and then there are situations that we need to give to JESUS for action. Our daily relationship with JESUS through fellowship in Prayer and HIS Word will guide us in knowing when to respond and when to wait on JESUS.

Whatever the case we are covered, the psalmist said “The LORD is my defense and my refuge. If HE instructs me to fight, he will protect me, if HE instructs me to wait on HIM, HE is my refuge or covering. Either way I am covered and protected.

Never doubt or fear. GOD is ready.

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

  20. Psalms 94:13,18-19
[13]You give them relief from troubled times
until a pit is dug to capture the wicked.
[18]I cried out, “I am slipping!”
but your unfailing love, O  lord, supported me.
    [19]When doubts filled my mind,
your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.

The Lord is our help in times of need. Call on his name and put all of your trust in him for he cares for you.

    Psalms 147:3,7-9,12-14
    [3]He heals the brokenhearted
        and bandages their wounds.
    [7]Sing out your thanks to the lord;
sing praises to our God with a harp.
[8]He covers the heavens with clouds,
        provides rain for the earth,
and makes the grass grow in mountain pastures.

and blessed your children within your walls.
[14]He sends peace across your nation
and satisfies your hunger with the finest wheat.

  21. 12 Blessed [with wisdom and prosperity] is the man whom You discipline and instruct, O Lord,And whom You teach from Your law,
13 That You may grant him [power to calm himself and find] peace in the days of adversity,

We must position ourselves to be able to find a peaceful place in the days of adversity. The world is not in a good place, and we don’t know what the future holds, therefore I feel it compelling in my own heart and mind to learn to rest peacefully in the presence of God, calming the fears and anxiety so that I may withstand whatever the future holds.

Just Like Heave – Brandon Lake
    [Verse 1]
    Isn’t it just like Heaven
When You walk into the room?
    There’s not a thing that’s hidden
When every eye is on You
Can’t get enough of Your presence
It’s the perfect point of view
Isn’t it just like, just like
    Just like Heaven?

    [Chorus]
Ooh – Come a little closer, stay a little longer
Ooh – I can’t get enough of You
Ooh- Come a little closer, stay a little longer
Ooh- I can’t get enough of You

    [Verse 2]
    Doesn’t it sound likе Heaven
    When You’re singing over me?
There’s not a voice more constant
    Your melodies they never cease
Here I will stand in Your presence
    In my true identity
Doesn’t it sound like? Yeah, it sounds like
    Just like Heaven

    [Bridge]
    Holy, You are holy
    You’re such a perfect Father
    I’ll worship You forever
    Holy, You are holy
    I’ll lay down any treasure
    For us to be together
    Holy, You are holy
    You’re such a perfect Father
    I’ll worship You forever
    Holy, You are holy
    I’ll lay down any treasure
    For us to be together

  22. 95:12,13. Blessed is the man whom thou chasteness
And teaches him out of thou law
That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity until the pit be dogged for the wicked.
    —-

    God cares!!!
He said he will never leave us nor forsake us.
So, it’s wise to listen to his instruction and take willingly his chastisement. He does it because he loves us, we can’t see the future, but he does.
Because he loves us, he wants us to all Always
Be prepared, ready for what comes our way.
That we may be able to endure and conquer
    Any type of situation.
The word of God says that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Yes I can if I rely and listen to his instruction.
That I ma be able to have peace in the midst of adversity. 😀
Hallelujah, blessed be the name of the Lord.
    I thank the Lord
    I pray
    I listen
    I obey
I have peace in the midst
    I conquer
    I rejoice
I give thanks to the Lord

  23. Ps. 94: 11-12 [ amp] The Lord knows the thoughts of man, that they are vain ( empty and futile only a breath).
[13] That You may give him power to keep himself calm in the days of adversity, until the ( inevitable) pit of corruption is due for the wicked.
The Lord knows everything he does not miss anyone or anything, He never sleeps.
He is not through with us yet!
But my personal relationship that have him, I glad to know that God that save me and that love me.
That still working on our souls.
God is my rock of solid foundation of my Salvation.
I love Jesus with all my heart and soul.

  24. In this chapter I think it was about how God knows everything! God sees it all. We must prove and show that we are worthy of his praise and sacrifice. When we sin God is probably like bro you knew better. God has proven worthy by giving us life and we have to prove worthy by going in the right path of life! BE PROVEN WORTHY POFW!!!

  25. Psalms 94:19
“In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.”

How many thoughts pass through our minds in a day? How many of those thoughts cause us to worry or fear?
That’s why it’s important when you have many thoughts passing through your mind to fix your mind on JESUS. When you start thinking about the goodness of JESUS and all He has done for you, His comforts will delight your soul. His comfort of Love. His comfort of Peace. His comfort of Hope. His comfort of Protection. His comfort of Providing. His comfort of Healing. Ect…
See, Don’t you feel better already!!

Thank You JESUS that Your Comforts Delight my soul!

  26. “Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O Lord, and whom you teach out of your law,(‭‭Psalm‬ ‭94:12‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

Those that commit themselves to the law of God. They are committed (Proverbs‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭ESV‬)“In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Every word that comes from the mouth of God has a purpose and cannot be turn to void. (Isaiah‬ ‭55:11‬ ‭ESV‬) so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

  27. 12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;

The Lord corrects those whom he loves (Heb 12:6). The Psalmist, king David knows this all to well because God made this promise to him in regard to his children (2Sam 7:14). It may not feel like a blessing to be chastened by God at the time. However, when we come out of the lesson he teaches us is when we will understand.

At first, the Psalmist, is upset that the wicked continue vile injustice to Gods people without judgment. He recognizes the importance of being corrected and how blessed he and others are to receive it. Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them (Ps 119:165).Out of that correct came repentance.

By the end of this chapter he comes to the conclusion that God will handle them. David is the king and has the power to rid the kingdom of the wicked but they still belong to the tribes of Israel. They are still Gods chosen people just like we are. This serves a great message that foolish and wicked people can still exist in the body of Christ. Instead of throwing them out we need to pray for them and leave them in Gods hands. Gods grace will only last for so long until judgment falls. Those who remain righteousness will not receive it but follow Him. If we try to correct a fool then we become foolish. We don’t have time for foolishness. If we leave it in Gods hands like the Psalmist then He will avenge us any affliction dealt by the wicked. Praise God for the victory!

  28. 19When doubts filled my mind your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.

Yes, there doubt always creeps in during times of trouble. We lose faith and hope. But renew yourself with God, and your faith will be strong.

  29. “But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I thank God for He is my help and my defense and if He is for me than who can stand against me. The Lord is my rock and my strong tower and He is the firm foundation that can not be shaken. Glory to God blessed be His glorious name!

  30. 22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

God is my rock. He is my strong tower. My refuge and fortress in the time of trouble. When trouble comes my way, God is there to defend. I’m thankful for a God who is always there. When I am weak, he makes me strong.

  31. 21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

We don’t need to get revenge on someone for what they did to us because it says God will cut them off in their own wickedness

  32. 22 But the Lord is my fortress; my God is the mighty rock where I hide.
    Psalms 94:22 NLT

O give thanks unto the Lord our God for he is always fighting for us and never giving up on his children. The Lord gives us a strong and firm foundation like no other. Why would you not want to be with the Lord when he is your everlasting father he has never give up on you and he has blessed you in so many ways? I Lord I look up to you in my darkest and lowest points even in my highest for you are my light and joy.

  33. 17 Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.
19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

Inward anxiety is such a hard place to be. We’ve all felt it; where our thought are so overwhelming that they often leave us even more crazy and frustrated than before we sat and thought about whats going on. In these moments we should look to the Word of God to comfort us.

  34. Psalms 94
“Blessed [with wisdom and prosperity] is the man whom You discipline and instruct, O LORD, And whom You teach from Your law,”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94:12‬ ‭AMP‬‬

You are loved if you are corrected. With correction comes instruction and knowledge. And knowledge applied to our life is wisdom.

  35. “But the LORD has become my high tower and defense, And my God the rock of my refuge.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94:22‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The lord is our strength and our fortress. He is our protector. No matter what we may go through we can lean and depend on him. Keep the faith and hold on! Grateful to know that I have a heavenly father who will come to my rescue when I am in trouble because he loves me.

  36. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord , held me up. In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
    Psalms 94:18‭-‬19 KJV
    https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.94.18-19.KJV

He knows. Thanks be to God for his mercy. We should be utterly thankful for how he deals with us. His grace is abundant. His love covers many sins. Not that we are given license to sin, but we are given space to make things right. He knows our weaknesses and frailties yet in his compassion he does not repay but chastened those he loves and allows them to repent. His mercy holds us up if we fall. Yet in all, we are instructed to be like him. To strive for perfection. To be holy for He is Holy yet in the middle of it all he knows.

  37. “But the Lord has become my high tower and defense, And my God the rock of my refuge.”
    Psalm 94:22

Our Lord loves us,as we are His children. He created us in His image and truly wants what is best for us. Our Lord is our refuge and strength! He forgives us for sins when we repent. I thank you God for your love and all you have done for me. Thank you for this day.

  38. 11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

Our thoughts can be good or bad, so we must remember that he knows all our thoughts. Be careful 😁

  39. 22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

The rock of my refuge. In other words the foundation or beginning of my hope and my safety. Without him there is no hope, there is no safety, there is no salvation. He is my defense because he has already won the fight. Whenever the enemy comes, I just say Jesus to remind him that he is already defeated. Even the ignorant devil knows when I speak the name of Jesus, there’s no use trying anymore because that name is victory forever. Jesus my defense and my refuge.

  40. Thank you Lord for always being right there . In You we can surely take refuge .

22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

  41. 1 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Maybe he was reminding himself of whom the vengeance is…..sometimes we need to take a breather and allow GOD to avenge instead of us stepping into the GOD role…..we really don’t need vengeance we just need to allow JESUS to reign in us!!!

  42. “Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When we are taught out of the law it means we are taught the word out of the book or Bible. In the Old Testament when they would read from the law all the people would stand and listen. They would listen intently and do what the law said. This law was the Bible. We know from John 1:1 that Jesus was the Word/law that psalms 94:12 is referring to.

  43. 12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;

13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

Gods not gonna get up and walk out on you. We need to be a representation of Christ each day and show his love to the people that are searching for him. Show them that Gods not gonna get up and walk out on them EVER Jesus gave up on nobody I’m excited to go these streets today being a representation to the body of christ and know i am gonna impact someones life

    HE>ME

  44. O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Everyone has been wronged by someone in life. When this happens we have to options – react the way our flesh wants to react or react the way God would want us to react. Sometimes confrontation is the best option and sometimes silence is the best option. Both may be tough and even painful at times but we must make sure we are in the will of God.

I thank God for His many examples on how to deal with hurt, and even some examples on how not to. I pray we seek Jesus’ in everything we do.

  45. 3 Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

We can sometimes find ourselves questioning God. Asking Him why things are taking so long, or why something is happening at all. We could even question why other people do not do the same things or get they are not held to the same standards as us.

22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

But yet, He waits for us to quiet down and then He speaks, because He is my defense for He is my rock, my salvation, my refuge.

  46. “O Lord, the God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, let your glorious justice shine forth! Arise, O Judge of the earth. Give the proud what they deserve. How long, O Lord? How long will the wicked be allowed to gloat?”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94:1-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬
This means that vengeance belongs to God who sees more than we see and knows more than we know.

  47. 22 But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

Through all the chaos, God is our defense and solid rock of refuge. Don’t fall into the tramps of the enemy but fix your eyes on Jesus.
