1 Kings 4

So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:

And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan:

10 The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:

11 The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

12 Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:

13 The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:

14 Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:

15 Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

16 Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:

17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

18 Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

19 Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.

20 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

21 And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22 And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

23 Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27 And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

28 Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

30 And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

  1. 20 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
21 And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

When we fulfill our obligations to serve the Lord, the Lord will make a way for us to become successful in our endeavors , and he will protect our investments from our adversaries.

  2. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

Its funny how things work out when your works are God driven. Solomon was blessed beyond all measure and those around him too!

  3. The beginning of the chapter says ” King Solomon was off to a good start ruling Israel. These were the leaders in his government:…..”. This shows me that a team is only as good as its leaders. If these people did not work together as a unified body in all things, then it would probably crumble. But, the chapter goes on to show how “….All their needs were met; they ate and drank and were happy…”, “…Peace reigned everywhere…” and “…everyone in Israel and Judah lived safe and sound”. It blows my mind to read the enormity of Solomon’s blessings of not only material things; but, his vast wisdom and knowledge. This all stemming from a simple full hearted desire and request to lead wisely…..this was pretty good for someone who “hardly know the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of this job” as we read in the previous chapter. We must work together “yes”; but, we have to first get ourselves (heart) right.

  4. Thank you Jesus Christ for today, our father which art in heaven thy kingdom come thy will be done hallelujah Allow Jesus Christ to run your mind , heart , Soul. He requires us to serve , obey, and follow after his ways . Anything is possible who Christ who strengthens us

God gave Solomon very great wisdom and understanding, and knowledge as vast as the sands of the seashore. And kings from every nation sent their ambassadors to listen to the wisdom of Solomon.
    1 Kings 4:29‭, ‬34

  5. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

With wisdom comes provision. Wisdom will always lead you on a right path!

  6. 25. And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.

Maybe this is where the saying “got it made in the shade” comes from…

    24. For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

…but only after hard-fought battles had obtained dominion and peace in the land. The enemy isn’t going to let you have peace and dominion without a fight.

  7. 1 Kings 4: 29-30 [ amp] And God gave Solomon exceptionally much wisdom and understanding, and breadth of mind like the sand of the seashore.
[30] Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the people of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt.
James 1:5 [ amp] If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [ Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or fault finding, and it will be given him.
Here is this chapter God gave Solomon wisdom and all the people came to hear Soloman.
All the people of Israel felt safe and peace around Soloman.
God will get us wisdom and knowledge through his word and understanding.
    Hallelujah Praise God.

  8. 6 And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
7 And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

Everyone has a part in the kingdom of God and each job is just as important as the next . What is most important to consider is that whatever we are assigned is what we are called to do in that moment as it is our faithfulness to that job that guy is looking at. It’s about us collectively working together as a body to reach one goal in accordance to the will of God for the kingdom. Whatever we’ve been assigned it is our responsibility to fulfill each duty

  9. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

When we keep God’s statues. God’s will bless us exceedingly beyond what we can see. Others from afar and near us, will see it and come to hear what we say. It is a attraction to others and a great opportunity to speak the word of God in their lives, so they too can have understanding, wisdom and blessings.

  10. 1 Kings 4

1 So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

2 And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

3 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.

8 And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

9 The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan:

  11. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

Not only a Solomon given wisdom he was also given the knowledge and understanding of how to use his gift.

  12. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

Wow! Solomon spoke 3,000 proverbs… and to think we only have 31 proverbs written in our Bible. This knowledge should put even more value on the book of Proverbs knowing that only 31 of 3000 were included. This wisdom and knowledge came from God above and all the kingdoms of the earth came to hear this wisdom of God from Solomon. I believe God can give us this wisdom that would cause people all around us to be drawn to us.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

  13. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

30 And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

The fact that Solomon got both wisdom and understanding as a gift from God is impressive to say the least. For wisdom without understanding is nothing. That’s the biggest problem I see today. When I was a kid to have a high school diploma was to be admire, if you got a BA was brilliant, an MA brought not only admiration but a level of respect, so you can imagine if you got a PHD, usually the community looked up to you and made you a leader of some sort. In today’s age education has been widely accessible, which is a great blessing, kids are not only graduating from high school but achieving the minimal of a BA. It is not surprising to find that your cashier at the supermarket or any retail store to have a BA and sometimes MA. So you ask why are they only a cashier???? It goes to the abundance of education and the lacking of understanding. You see understanding helps you apply the knowledge that you learn. In today’s age, many walk around with a great amount of knowledge, book knowledge with out the experience and understanding of the knowledge so they can’t apply it and use it. Before you gain that understanding and application of knowledge through trades school or apprenticeship. Now, the use a short time as an intern that the majority of the time is too short to gain the vast experience that you need. Please no matter how much education you have do not lose your faith!! Gain understanding, apply your knowledge to His Kingdom, and you will prosper above all!!! In Jesus Name Amen 🙏🏻

  14. I Kings 4:29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the seashore.

Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord and it’s wise application to our life.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Ecclesiastes 12:13,14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

  15. What wisdom and organization for the Kingdom.
Peace and prosperity. Unity and each one having a part to serve in the Kingdom. I love the unity and the communication involved in serving . Why do I like standing in the back marking names as individuals walk in? Because it allows me to be aware of who people are and if they are not attending service I can make a mental note and pray for them.
Another reason is I get to meet new people and again connect with them. I believe that each position or serving in the Kingdom gives great opportunity to share with others . Whether taking a temperature or opening the door for someone , or marking an attendance, making sure the bathroom is presentable at all times . To some it is a task to others a gift to connect . Solomon’s leadership developed leaders .
It was about providing for the Kingdom and in doing so there was peace and protection. There is peace and protection in the Kingdom of God .

24-25 Solomon was sovereign over everything, countries and kings, west of the River Euphrates from Tiphsah to Gaza. Peace reigned everywhere. Throughout Solomon’s life, everyone in Israel and Judah lived safe and sound, all of them from Dan in the north to Beersheba in the south—content with what they had.

  16. God has given us the ability to share at least 1 thing with someone daily to encourage and inspire and share the love of God.

We just have to do it!

32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

I took a look at a well known man who wrote sermons that have been read everywhere it reminded me of Solomon his name is Charles Spurgeon most ministers have read his commentaries and some of his sermons

    3,600 sermons
Spurgeon’s sermons were published in printed form every week and had a high circulation. By the time of his death in 1892, he had preached nearly 3,600 sermons and published 49 volumes of commentaries, sayings, anecdotes, illustrations and devotions.

What have I to give to someone today?
It might be what inspires them to know they too have something to give . Each life is so valuable we must live and give Jesus …..

  17. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    WISDOM SPEAKS

32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

We learn here that GOD did honor HIS WORD to Solomon. Solomon requested understanding and wisdom and GOD gave Solomon what only HE could give him.

The result of ONE prayer or petition in a dream has now produced the wisdom for 3000 Proverbs. This is why I value the daily Proverb reading. Yes I have heard them hundreds of times, but I lack wisdom and I ask of GOD and I believe HE gives it as I seek it.

Let WISDOM SPEAK to us every day. I choose the Proverb of each day. May JESUS grant me wisdom as he did King Solomon. In JESUS Name.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iLive
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo
    iBlessYouInTheNameOfTheLordJESUS

  18. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

Solomon’s wisdom and understanding exceeded much because of what God gave him. Through his request for knowledge and wisdom, God gave him so much more than any ordinary king. There is somethings that we do that is no comparison to the blessing of God, but we have such a great opportunity to reach souls that may not be reached other wise. It is through our obedience to the word of God and to the kingdom of God.

If we want to have the provisions of the kingdom of God we must put first the kingdom of God, be obedient to the voice of God, and we must be ready to go into this world and do the work of God. The scripture states lest God builds the house, our labor is in vain. It is the opportunity that He gives us to take advantage of blessings and produce results. We do not have time to slack and let the opportunities pass us by.

  19. 4:25 and Judah and Isrrael dwelt safely
Every man under his vine and under hoods fog tree
From Dan even to Beersheba all the days of Solomon.

    What a great picture.
    Great unity
    Great leader
    People in submission
    A well stablished government
With a great ruler ( wise and able to discern matters…)
The Fruit: peace in the land. Everyone living and enjoying life, everyone doing their part. Respecting and giving honor to whom honor belongs.
All of this because a great king( and the hand of God on him) hallelujah!!!!!

  20. 30 And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

I pray that God would give us wisdom of Word everyday.

  21. Lots of law and order usually produces good results. We read in today’s proverb about taking care of what God has provided us with. Step by step day by day all responsibilities are taken care of and order is applied producing positive result. No time for overemphasizing no time for drama and complaining. God knows best and if we listen and apply our lives are truly blessed.

  22. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

God have Solomon what he requested – wisdom. God is no respect or of persons if we ask if faith believing, not amiss, God will answer our prayers as well.

  23. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

Solomon had organizational skills, wisdom, knowledge, peace on all sides and lacked nothing. All this given by God to this man who felt like a child when he first became king. Solomon sought God to become a ruler competent enough to rule after his father David and in his humbleness he was given so much more-he had big shoes to fill. He wrote proverbs and songs worthy to be in God’s word today. Next he must stay humble and keep the commandments of the Lord to keep all these blessings- as David did.

  24. 29 “God gave Solomon very great wisdom and understanding, and knowledge as vast as the sands of the seashore”

God blessed him with exactly he needed to be who God has called him to be. The bible says the Lord is the same yesterday, and today…so today God give bless you with exactly you need to be who He has called you to be!

But we must be ASK like Solomon in 1 Kings 3:9 “Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong. For who by himself is able to govern this great people of yours?”

Without the act of ASKING, God is simply at the door knocking.

  25. Geber son of Uri in Gilead—this was the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and also of Og king of Bashan; he managed the whole district by himself.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Geber was by himself but not alone. Sometimes we’ll find we are by ourselves but never alone. We may be the only disciple, the provider of His truth, on our street, at our job, in our family. But that does not mean we are alone. We serve a God who will never fail nor forsake us. He’s always there watching over us, protecting us from dangers seen and unseen. I thank God nothing can separate us from the love of God. I pray we stand on His assurance knowing we are never alone.

  26. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

30 And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

    Ask and you shall receive.

Solomon knew he would not be able to lead on his own. But that he needed help, wisdom and strength from above!

We too need to ask for wisdom DAILY, to make the right choices.

  27. 24Solomon’s dominion extended over all the kingdoms west of the Euphrates River, from Tiphsah to Gaza. And there was peace on all his borders. 25During the lifetime of Solomon, all of Judah and Israel lived in peace and safety. And from Dan in the north to Beersheba in the south, each family had its own home and garden.

If you have a humble heart, there will be peace. Solomon ask for wisdom, and that brought peace to the land. He knew how to give and judge wisely during times of conflict. Rapid decisions brings disorder and chaos to any situation. Take the time and pray about any big decision.

  28. 1 Kings 4:29
God gave Solomon very great wisdom and understanding, and knowledge as vast as the sands of the seashore.

God gives each and every one of us gifts to use to serve in his kingdom.

    Thank you Jesus

  29. 1 Kings 4:29 & 32
    29) And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

    32) And he spake three thousand proverbs: and hos songs were a thousand and five.

    “Wisdom and Understanding”
One of the many Proverbs King Solomon wrote was Proverbs 4:7, “Wisdom is the principal thing: therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

  30. “And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all the men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.” 1 Kings 4:29-31

Solomon had asked for wisdom and for God to help direct him. God blessed Solomon with extreme wisdom, which he used toward his people. We must pray to our Lord, trust in Him, and He will bless us. Thank you Jesus for this day.

  31. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

We can have mans wisdom or Gods wisdom. God gave him wisdom he opened his mind to things and to see things others dont.
we can have Gods wisdom if we seek him and what his word says.

  32. 29 God gave Solomon very great wisdom and understanding, and knowledge as vast as the sands of the seashore.
    1 Kings 4:29 NLT

Solomon knew that to be able to lead he was going to need God on his side to give me the knowledge and the wisdom. As his children the Lord gives us all he gives us peace when we’re in our worries, gives us strength in our battles, and light in our darkest moments. Let us all believe in the Lord put all our faith and trust in him let us obey his commandments and be faithful unto him. With God nothing is impossible and he’s always protecting you.

  33. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

This proves how wise and humble Solomon was

  34. “And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭4:32, 34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There is a harvest that the Lord has prepare for the church in these last days. We need to reach out to those that are hungry for the word of God and to preach the good news of Jesus Christ. I believe that this city is going to be save and is going to hear the wisdom of God’s good news be and all will see that the Lord is good.

  35. “God gave Solomon very great wisdom and understanding, and knowledge as vast as the sands of the seashore.

And kings from every nation sent their ambassadors to listen to the wisdom of Solomon.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭4:29, 34‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It’s amazing when god is in the midst what can happen. Solomon asked and was given wisdom to where others were coming to listen to him. Not because of himself but because of god. When we sit back and allow god to work we can see the miraculous happen. God has no respect person. All we have to do is ask and trust the process.

  36. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

God gave him an measurable amount of wisdom. Oh how I long to be in this position. Let it be our prayer to sleep hand it to the

  37. A good master

27 And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

These men were fortunate and blessed to serve such a man that would take care of them so well. Solomon was the King, he didn’t have to be so good to those servants but he was. When you are good to the people who serve you, it makes them want to serve you. A good Master, King, or leader knows that when you are in leadership the best way to get folks to honor you is to honor them first, if you want respect give it, if you want folks to be good to you be sure to be good to them.

  38. Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

24 For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

this is what happens when you follow God, and walk along with him. seeking to with God and to seek and hunger for wisdom. God let me hunger for you to be in your presence. not for the riches but for your will to be done in my life

  39. “King Solomon now ruled over all Israel, and these were his high officials: Azariah son of Zadok was the priest. Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, were court secretaries. Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the royal historian. Benaiah son of Jehoiada was commander of the army. Zadok and Abiathar were priests. Azariah son of Nathan was in charge of the district governors. Zabud son of Nathan, a priest, was a trusted adviser to the king. Ahishar was manager of the palace property. Adoniram son of Abda was in charge of forced labor.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭4:1-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Just as the story of the mothers contending over one baby was an example of Solomon’s great wisdom, this chapter also shows Solomon’s wisdom. The wise way he selected, trained, empowered, and supervised leaders is clearly seen.

  40. In this chapter there were a whole lot of names. All I can really say what came to me out of this chapter us that everyone’s name is important and has a special meaning to it. We should be in Christ and follow him! Your name is very special and you should be very considerate on how you use your name.

  41. 34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

Wisdom is the application of knowledge. The same Solomon tells us in Proverbs that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. So the wisest things one can do in life is know and walk in Gods ways. For he will make it prosper.

  42. 27 And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

God will take care of his people. It may seem like you’re troubled with no way out. However, God’s got it all in control. He his a way maker. He is the only one who can show you the way. There is no God like our God

  43. 30 And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

Solomon’s wisdom was truer and more real than all the much-praised wisdom of Egypt. There is no better wisdom then God’s wisdom.

  44. “And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭4:29‬ ‭KJV

Wisdom for man kind is one of the most important that anyone can ask for. Without it we would be nothing and acting like fools. Wisdom, fear of the LORD JESUS, and obedience is what lack in America today. If the church is not prayerful seeking God in a daily basis we will also be living a life of chaos.
Jesus help us to stay in truth and in faith!!

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV

  45. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

As we read in yesterday’s chapter, God asked Solomon a simple question/made a simple statement, “. . . Ask what I shall give thee?” Solomon responded with many words that roughly translated to asking for the wisdom to lead and protect His family and country. We then read today in the very next chapter how God granted the request so very quickly afterwards. “. . . God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much. . . Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of. . . he was wiser than all men. . . “. When God asked of you what you want, Answer His question. It may come in prayer or in a message over the pulpit. Just as Sunday Pastor said to cry out to Him your desire and the needs in your life, this is a very true example of a similar situation to Solomon. He asks and we need to respond wisely.

34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

Not only did God grant Solomon the wisdom he requested, but he also gave Him the reputation and public knowledge of being so wise. Let God bless you and give abundantly, all we need to is respond to the call.

  46. God truly blessed Solomon with wisdom & understanding. His fame grew greatly for many came to hear his wisdom.

“Be wise and understand the things of God”…,,,

  47. 29 And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

God gave Solomon the gift of wisdom, and he rarely ever used it for the good of Gods kingdom, which meant it was mostly for nought. He has given us the gift of the Holy Ghost and if we don’t use it, and share it we are wasting an awesome gift just like Solomon. I have been guilty of this far too often, and it is time to Live and Give Jesus in our lives like never before.

  48. “He could speak with authority about all kinds of plants, from the great cedar of Lebanon to the tiny hyssop that grows from cracks in a wall. He could also speak about animals, birds, small creatures, and fish. And kings from every nation sent their ambassadors to listen to the wisdom of Solomon.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭4:33-34‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We all know the story of Solomon and how he was the wisest king ever but we also know there was a flesh issue. We can pray for wisdom and pray for wisdom but if we can control our flesh wisdom does us no good.

  49. 21 And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

When done right, you fruit of the work will tell the story. We need to give the process of God a chance. A seed needs time and water to increase. God is the provider of the water , and in his time, we will reap the fruit of our labor.
