2 Chronicles 1

And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.

So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the Lord had made in the wilderness.

But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the Lord: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.

Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

13 Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.

14 And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

15 And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.

16 And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king’s merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

17 And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means.

  1. Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

  2. 11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

If there was any Scripture that was prime example of seeking “God and all his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”, there was any story in the Bible that set the tone for God fulfilling the desires of her heart money can only be used one time but wisdom is a perpetual cycle of resources to use in multiple situations. Just like as children who don’t worry, or shouldn’t, about the financial state of the house they are raised in, neither should the children of God who are seeking to do his will. If God has ever taught us anything from his word is that he will take care of anything that we may have a deep desire for if we will just put him first.

  3. Verse 13 MSG “Then Solomon left the worship center at Gibeon and the Tent of Meeting and went to Jerusalem. He set to work as king of Israel.” This verse spoke to me about how Solomon didn’t just sit back and say “Yes, now I can just sit back and be blessed by God”; but, rather he went right away to work. We cannot allow ourselves to get to place where we think we have made it or we have arrived. Solomon knew that the work had just begun and used what the Lord blessed him with to get the job done. We must launch forward to end 2020 on a high with “HIGH EXPECTANCY” and take 2021 by storm!

  4. 1 And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

From this we are reminded that our abilities , talents, and prosperity are not are own, but gifts from the Lord.

  5. 12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

There is no way to out give God!!!! You ask for one and He gives you 100!!! Hallelujah!!! God is so Good!!! I like the way Solomon ask so humble just for wisdom and knowledge and God shows how He will lift up those that are humble by granting his desire of wisdom and knowledge amd adding all the riches.
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
He has supplied my every need so all I can do is say Thank you Jesus!!!

  6. 6. And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

    7. In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

    10. Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

It all began at the altar of sacrifice.
If he had not feared God enough to go sacrifice, or been humble enough to ask for God’s help, God would not have appeared unto him and asked what He could give him.

    Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

  7. 10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

Seek ye first the Kingdom! Everyday we should be asking God how we can serve His Kingdom. What can we do to improve ourselves to better serve Him? Solomon did just that to better serve the people of God, and because he did, God blessed Him!

  8. 2 Chron. 1 :11 [ amp] God replied to Soloman, Because this was in your heart and you have not asked for riches , possessions, honer , and glory, or the life of your foes , or even for long life, Bur have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may rule and judge My people over whom I have made you king.
    The reign of Soloman
    Soloman asking for Wisdom
God granted him wisdom because his heart was right and he was humble.
    Always put God first !
My God will supply all my needs according to his riches and glory.
He is Great and Greatly to Be Praise.
    Hallelujah.

  9. Thank you Jesus Christ for today, our father which art in heaven thy kingdom come thy will be done . Great is his faithfulness hallelujah

God said to Solomon, “Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask for wealth, riches, fame, or even the death of your enemies or a long life, but rather you asked for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people— I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested. But I will also give you wealth, riches, and fame such as no other king has had before you or will ever have in the future!”
    2 Chronicles 1:11‭-‬12

  10. 7“On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask! What shall I give you?”

10-11 Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?” Then God said to Solomon: “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king—

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

  11. 2 Chronicles 1

1 And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

2 Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.

3 So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the Lord had made in the wilderness.

5 Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the Lord: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

  12. 10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

Thomas Jefferson used a quote that many may have heard and used, but he stated in several of his letters to state universities schools that the main members of these institutions would not have enough information to make appropriate choices. But he stated that those which do not generally possess information enough to percieve the important truths, that knowledge is power, that knowledge is safety, and that knowledge is happiness.

Knowledge is defined as facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.

You see Solomon learned the process through his father David, but the knowledge and understanding he learned through the experience of doing what was right in the sight of the Lord. He sacrificed upon the brazen altar and then when God came unto him he asked for the most important thing he could have asked for. He wanted knowledge, wisdom, and understanding to be a better king. God gave him his request and then blessed him well beyond any king before him and there would never be another after him.

The thing we as a child of God must understand, that asking for the great things of this life will not get us further in our walk with God, it’s about being obedient to his word and putting first the kingdom of God and his righteousness then all that we need and desired will be given to us. We have to be willing to be taught by those that are placed in our lives and in authority over us.

  13. Live Jesus Give Jesus 2. Unselfish Service
Solomon sought nothing for personal gain . No recognition, fame nor wealth , nor even for his health . But because of his unselfish desire God blessed him abundantly. Solomon wanted what was beat for the people , he wanted to lead with knowledge and wisdom.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6).
Lord let me seek You daily to help lead someone to You . To instruct with wisdom and understanding. To reach with compassion and strength of your word .
    In Jesus name .

God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth,(T) possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, 12 therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor,(U) such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.(V)”

  14. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    FIND AN ALTAR

5 Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the Lord: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

The Brasen altar or the altar of sacrifice that was before the Tabernacle or house of GOD. This is what King Solomon and Israel sought. They were not in search of a convent way of worship or a convenient place, way or item to sacrifice. Israel sought or had a desire to worship GOD and give sacrifices to HIM.

This desire and quest was pleasing to GOD and moved GOD to answer the request of Solomon. Likewise as we have opportunity to seek the altar of GOD rather than the provision and favor of GOD. We will find and receive the Favor, Blessing and Provision from GOD.

I pray that GOD give me understanding and wisdom to lead the people of Fort Worth and surrounding areas to seek the altar of GOD, to make sacrifice and worship GOD from a whole and committed heart.

    • In this Chapter since Solomon had a great compassion and care for his kingdom he asked Hod for wisdom. Although he could of asked for wealth, or marriage he chose what was right for the kingdom. Sometimes we may have big decisions like scenario in life. We have to do what is right for us and what God wants us to do. We have an amazing Pastor and Ministry team that God talks to in order to lead our church! When and if God ever talks to you, you want to make sure you are listening. If we don’t listen and ignore Gods voice we might be missing out on some great information. God loves us all and wants to see great and mighty things come upon us. If we are not following his word this will not happen. Pofw make sure you are listening to the right people and voices around you!

  15. 1 And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

I want the Lord to be with me.
Mosses said told the Lord if you don’t go then im not going.

Can we say that about our lives? Do we ask the Lord will you go with me or do we just go and then ask God come to where I am?
We must go and follow after God walk where he walks every day

  16. 2 Chronicles 1:2-3 & 5-6 (NLT)
    2) Solomon called together all the leaders of Israel – the generals and captains of the army, the judges, and all political and clan leaders.
    3) Then he lead the entire assembly to the place of worship in Gibeon for God’s Tabernacle was located there. (This was the Tabernacle that Moses, the Lord’s servant, had made in the widerness.)

    5) But the bronze altar made by Bezalel son of Uri and grandson of Hur was there at Gibeon in front of the Tabernacle of the Lord. So Solomon and the people gathered in front of it to consult the Lord.
    6) There in front of the Tabernacle, Solomon went up to the bronze altar in the Lord’s presence and sacrificed 1,000 burnt offerings on it.

These verses to me are all about Leadership.
In these verses, King Solomon was an example of a good Leader. First, he called all the Leaders of Israel together – he wanted Unity amongst his Leaders. Then, he Leads them to the place of worship. Next, he gathers them together in front of the Tabernacle, and then he goes to the bronze altar to sacrife.

As a Leader, we too should be Leading others to the place of Worship; we should be Leading others to Church; and we should be Leading in and teaching others how to Pray and Sacrice to God.

  17. 12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

Solomon was seeking first the Kingdom, asking God to guide his steps and help him to lead the people in a manner pleasing to the Lord. He was granted that request and highly favored of God as well.

Seeking first means praying about it., seeking an answer in the word or from the Shepard in your life and then following the answer. Too many times if we don’t like the answer we are given from either of the sources, we go ahead with our own plans.

God is not asking us to do our own thing and ask Him to bless it. He is asking us to find what it has He wants us to do and then do it. His blessing and favor comes through obedience.

  18. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
We should pray for the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation every single day. Solomon prayed for it and God gave it to him, along with everything that comes with it.

    Eph 1:16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Not only should we pray for this great treasure of wisdom for the Kingdom, but we should pray for our Government Officials every single day.

  19. 9 Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

Because of Solomon’s obedience and desire to reign over Israel in his father’s stead, God granted him favor and gave him abundance of riches; and entrusted the building of the temple.

  20. 12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
13 Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.
15 And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.

Solomon sought God first so he could rule with wisdom over such a great and vast people, then he was blessed. Placing God first, seeking his ways and leading the people to worship was how Solomon started, and we see that riches were plentiful. We must keep God first to truly be blessed.

  21. “Then Solomon said to God, “You have shown great lovingkindness and mercy to my father David, and have made me king in his place. Now, O LORD God, Your promise to my father David is fulfilled, for You have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth. Give me wisdom and knowledge, so that I may go out and come in [performing my duties] before this people, for [otherwise] who can rule and administer justice to this great people of Yours?” God replied to Solomon, “Because this was in your heart and you did not ask for riches, possessions or honor and personal glory, or the life of those who hate you, nor have you even asked for long life, but you have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself so that you may rule and administer justice to My people over whom I have made you king, wisdom and knowledge have been granted you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings who were before you has possessed nor will those who will come after you.” So Solomon went from the high place at Gibeon, from the Tent of Meeting, to Jerusalem. And he reigned over Israel.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭1:8-13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

There’s so much that stands out in this chapter. One is that there’s nothing that can compare to the time spent getting alone with God, be it a high place or secret place whatever place it is, it will be time well invested. Also we can see the true heart of King Solomon. We can see that he viewed his role as king a seriously matter. And he wanted to rule and administer justice righteously and full of wisdom.

  22. 1:11 God replied to Solomon: because this was in your heart and you did not asked for riches
Possessions or honor and personal glory
Or the life of those who hate you
Not have you even asked for long life. But you have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself so that
May rule and administer justice to My people
Over who I have made you king.

  23. I love what sister Castillo said we cant get to the point that we say we have made it or we have arrived. You are never to quit working for Jesus or think you have done all you can! Solomon did not ask for material items so God honored his request for wisdom and such.

  24. 2 Chronicles 1:12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give the riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

  25. 2 Chronicles 1

    10) Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

    11) And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet has asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

    12) Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that. Have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

    Praise the Lord God!!

    Hallelujah!!!!

    • So, Solomon was wise, before he asked for wisdom. He believed in and worshiped God. And cared for the people that God had given him responsibility for.

  26. 9 Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

Just like Solomon did we should ask God for his promises to be established in our lives everyday, and hold on to them until they come to pass knowing that Gods promises never fail.

  27. 6 And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.
7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.
8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.
9 Now, O Lord God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

Wisdom and knowledge is a great weapon do use for the kingdom of God. Thank God for leader ship and for those who continually seek the Lord Jesus Christ.

  28. 11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

God gave Solomon wisdom because that was in Solomon’s heart Solomon didn’t just say I want wisdom to impress God Solomon meant it and because Solomon was sincere God gave him riches and a long life and many more things

  29. 5 Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the Lord: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

6 And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

Solomon showed the people from the very beginning of his reign, that he would seek God and lead them to do so as well.

This shows the importance of seeking God FIRST.

Before leading a ministry, before every decision, at the beginning of every service, at the beginning of ever day; it is important that we go to our altar, seek Him and make a sacrifice.

  30. 2 Chronicles 1, King Solomon asked our Lord God for wisdom and knowledge to help guide the people. God was pleased that he asked for this and not for personnel wealth nor for a long life.

2 Chronicles 1:11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast ling life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

It is wise not to be greedy or self absorbed. We can ask for prayer for ourselves when needed, but it isn’t always about us. We should love and care for others and pray for many! Our city and country is in need of ALOT of prayer. I thank you for the word today and for all you do for POFW and myself.

  31. “Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭1:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Hallelujah!!!!!

What a beautiful relationship did king Solomon have with the KING OF GLORY.
    Solomon was SERVING and
laboring in the Kingdom of GOD.
    Solomon had J.O.Y.

    J – esus first
    O -thers second
    Y – ourself last

As a church/Christian we must live by J.O.Y.
It’s what our calling is. It isn’t about building your kingdom. If you’re in it for that, then you must refocus. I believe bro. Smith used to say ‘if you take care of GODs children…. HE will take care of you/yours. ( Like I said I think it was brother Smith).

“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  32. 2 Chronicles 1:1
And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

    Psalm 118:14
    King James Version
The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

  33. “wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like.”‭ (‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭ESV‬)

Our God is a gracious God and He alone can see through every heart and knows every motive. He gives to those who ask. Some have not because they ask not. The Lord has given us everything we need, He is loyal and full of integrity.

God is offering Solomon a blessing. With a humble heart Solomon asks for wisdom to lead Gods people. This is a great display of a servant heart. He wants to serve God like his father and recognizes his need for wisdom. We can learn from Solomon to ask God for what we desire most and he will hear us.

(Hebrews‬ ‭4:12 ESV)“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

(Matthew‬ ‭7:7‬ ‭ESV‬ ) Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

  34. True leadership

2 Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.

You see Solomon here spread the wealth of power throughout his Kingdom. This is one of the reasons Solomons kingdom was so powerful. Yes Solomon was the recipient of his fathers iron fist and favoritism of God but Solomon had this great understanding given to him in this same chapter by God. True leaders empower others around them. They understand that when the people have power, much can be accomplished. If your people have power and are submitted at the same time, nothing can stop you. Our priority as leaders is split evenly between building up those behind us and submitting ourselves to each other. With this formula, we will be what God called us to become.

  35. 11 God said to Solomon, “Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask for wealth, riches, fame, or even death of your enemies or a long life, but rather you asked for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people – 12 I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested. But I will also give you wealth, riches, and fame such as no other king has had before you or will ever have in the future!”
    2 Chronicles 1:11-12 NLT

Those who seek the kingdom of the Lord overall are those who shall be blessed unconditionally. Let us not work for the Lord just because we want things but because we love the Lord and we want to live for him and with him forever. Let us obey the commandments of the Lord, speak and spread his word, let us give ourselves as a living sacrifice unto the Lord and you will see the light of the Lord in everything even in your lowest, and we will be blessed, for he loves and protects us.

  36. 11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

Lord examine the issues of my heart. Cause my desire to align with Your Word. Let me be kingdom minded in all I do by placing the kingdom above my own wants and desires.

Father I thank you for Your word and the great men and women that are an example for me to learn from. Their victories lead me to You and their failure lead me to you.

Father allow me to be wise in actions and words and knowledgeable in Kingdom priorities.

    In Jesus name!

  37. 14 And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

15 And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.

16 And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king’s merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

17 And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means.

this is what happens when a leader of a country looks and seeks the heart of God, Solomon asked for wisdom and God granted him that, but because he asking with a selfless heart God blessed then with riches and fame. and God too blessed the whole nation of isreal

I pray that God will bless our leaders and our country, may they keep your intentions in mind when asking or even making decisions

  38. 7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

We could pursue present things, but the sad thing, about that is that we will be disappointed; but as we seek God’s providence, that will be more comforting to us, because God knows exactly what we need. So as we seek according to his will, he will always give us more than we ask him for.

  39. 7In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

God knew that he could trust Solomon, so he offered him a gift. We can be blessed by God if we’re willing to do his will. God can bless beyond our imagination. Trust God and he will continue to make a way out of no way.

  40. “There in front of the Tabernacle, Solomon went up to the bronze altar in the Lord’s presence and sacrificed 1,000 burnt offerings on it.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Solomon didn’t let anything stop him from worshiping the King of king and the Lord of Lord and His name is Jesus. Solomon made up in his mind that he Is giving his all to Jesus and he gave a thousand burnt offerings and he heard the voice of the Lord. Just like Solomon and David, let us make up in our mind that nothing will stop us from giving our all to the Lord to see revival. We aren’t turning back now but we are going to see an outpouring of the Holy Ghost in Jesus name!

  41. 7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

    Matthew 7 says:
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
    Matthew 7:7 NKJV

God answers when we ask. The thing is what do we ask? Where is our heart is what the Lord wants to know about us. There is another scripture that says that you have not because you ask not. Yet again makes emphasis on what is being asked. You have not because you ask amiss goes on to say on James the 4th chapter. Then it goes on to give direction. It’s a matter of the heart. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. When you spend time I’m the presence you begin to be more like him. When you spend so much time with your best friend you pick up some of their things. It would be good for us to daily pick up the mind of Christ.

  42. That night God appeared to Solomon and said, “What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!” Solomon replied to God, “You showed great and faithful love to David, my father, and now you have made me king in his place. O Lord God, please continue to keep your promise to David my father, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth! Give me the wisdom and knowledge to lead them properly, for who could possibly govern this great people of yours?””
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭1:7-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬
The natural reaction to reading this promise of God to Solomon is to wish we had such a promise. We do have them.

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you (John 15:7).

  43. 2 Chronicles 1

“And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭1:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This Chapter means that, God was pleased on what Solomon chose for Wisdom/Discernment for He was put up to the test. We should choose Wisdom to know tactics from our enemy and We shall prevail In Jesus Name.

  44. 6 And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

The importance of having an altar to go. To seek the Lord and present ourselves as a sacrifice, as a favorable essence that is pleasurable to God. That He will bless us beyond what we can imagine. There nothing impossible for God. Let us give ourselves wholeheartedly to the works of the Lord and we will see His favor upon us.

  45. 3 So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the Lord had made in the wilderness.

Often times we too can find encouragement when we revisit the places where our forefathers found Jesus. Some of the most moving hymns are from many years ago…

  46. 10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

Seek ye first the kingdom of god. Here again we see that Solomon went to god himself and asked for wisdom. We must always remember to go to god for help. When we ask we must also believe that he is able to do it. Ask him and trust the process. We must be willing to seek him and ask and must also know that he is going to do it for us.

  47. 11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

When we ask according to God will, we can enjoy the fullness of Gods blessings. Many times we ask for things without knowing what He wants. That’s why many times we are dissatisfied with what we get. But we can’t enjoy the fullness unless until we walk in his perfect will.

  48. 2 Chronicles 1
1 And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly. When we are faithful in little things God will give us bigger things . King Solomon was a great example from a faithful son to a faithful King.

  49. Give me the wisdom and knowledge to lead them properly, for who could possibly govern this great people of yours?”
    2 Chronicles 1:10 NLT

Something very special happens when we allow God to take the reigns even in our prayers life. We see things with new perspectives. Thank You, Jesus.

  50. “God said to Solomon, “Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask for wealth, riches, fame, or even the death of your enemies or a long life, but rather you asked for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people— I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested. But I will also give you wealth, riches, and fame such as no other king has had before you or will ever have in the future!””
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭1:11-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/2ch.1.11-12.nlt

We need to apply this mentality to the kingdom when we pray and seek the face of God we should have a desire for his people and to save them and lead them to the altar where change can start…God will take care of the rest with you and blessing will pour out on you.

  51. 2Solomon called together all the leaders of Israel—the generals and captains of the army, the judges, and all the political and clan leaders.

Just like Pastor, he calls on the leaders of the church to help with fulfilling his vision. We all have a part in supporting the church, the body and Pastor. It takes everyone to fully complete the body, and support the Vision of Jesus2.

  52. 10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

Praying for wisdom and knowledge should always be a priority in our lives at all times because we never know when we encounter a situation that we do know understand or know how to handle, and we should always remember that it’s through god that we are given the ability handle anything.

  53. 12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

Never take for granted what we have been given, what has already been granting to you. He gives us so much and continues to give and bless us. “. . . riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that. . .” It keeps going, overflowing. Be thankful. Be grateful. Be blessed.
