Proverbs 24

Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.

For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.

Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:

And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.

He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.

The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.

10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

11 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;

12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:

14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

15 Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place:

16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

18 Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

19 Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked:

20 For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.

21 My son, fear thou the Lord and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:

22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?

23 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou are righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:

25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.

26 Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.

27 Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.

28 Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips.

29 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.

30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.

32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

34 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.

  1. 20 For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.

21 My son, fear thou the Lord and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:

Judgement will come to everyone. The saved can be assured that their good works will be rewarded. Salavation is dependent upon faith and thoes that do evil do not have saving faith. It is by our good works that our faith and our relationship with Jesus are manifested.

  2. For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

7 Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.

8 He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.

9 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.

10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

  3. Verses 1-6 MSG “Don’t envy bad people; don’t even want to be around them. All they think about is causing a disturbance; all they talk about is making trouble. It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation; It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms with fine furniture and beautiful draperies. It’s better to be wise than strong; intelligence outranks muscle any day. Strategic planning is the key to warfare; to win, you need a lot of good counsel.” This chapter is full of warnings and good teaching. It is time to grow up and heed the warnings, while we have the chance as the decisions we make are directing our destiny. Verses 21-22 MSG says “Fear God, dear child—respect your leaders; don’t be defiant or mutinous. Without warning your life can turn upside down, and who knows how or when it might happen?

  4. 25But it will go well for those who convict the guilty;
rich blessings will be showered on them.
    26An honest answer
is like a kiss of friendship.

Its time we don’t share this word of God lightly, theres a lot of people in the world that have a lot of question and majority of them don’t even know those answers are in the Bible. Ive spoke to a lot of people and made a few angry and upset just by simply sharing the word of the Lord. But this bible tells me that an honest answer is like a kiss of friendship. I get more convicted walking away from a conversation and not sharing the gospel. Its gotta be in every conversation, I’ve gotta glorify Jesus in some sort of way. Then gotta get a scripture in because then i can walk away knowing that TODAY that person heard something the Lord had to say. A little bit of Jesus is better than no Jesus at all because you never know what kind of seed your planting when you do that.
it could be a seed of
    1 revival
    2 restoration
    3 hope
    4 curiosity
and many more than just those 4. Be loud today in the gospel speak the word and share the truth about the Lord.

  5. 16 The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked. NLT

It’s not about how many times you fall; the question is, did you always get back up?

    Psalm 37:
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. KJV

  6. Prov. 24: 5-6 [ amp] A wise man is strong and is better than a strong man , and a man of knowledge increases and strengthens his power.
[6] For by wise counsel you can wage your war, and in an abundance of counselors there is victory and safety.
Prov.21:22 [ amp] A wise man scales the city walls of the mighty and brings down the stronghold in which they trust.
The Holy Ghost will strengthen us .
Speaking in tongues will empower us.
Wisdom and knowledge is good for our minds.
I will apply my mind to instruction and my ears to word of knowledge.
    Thank you Jesus.

  7. The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger.
    Proverbs 24:5 NLT

Make us strong today Jesus as we open ourselves to You. We seek wisdom, we seek You and Your goodness. We are mighty and victorious through You Jesus!

  8. Thank you Jesus Christ for today, praise him hallelujah great mighty God

The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger. So don’t go to war without wise guidance; victory depends on having many advisers. Wisdom is too lofty for fools. Among leaders at the city gate, they have nothing to say. A person who plans evil will get a reputation as a troublemaker. The schemes of a fool are sinful; everyone detests a mocker. If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small. Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to die; save them as they stagger to their death. Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.
    Proverbs 24:5‭-‬12

  9. Proverbs 24:17
You shouldn’t rejoice when your enemies fall, because then God will take it easy on them (so, don’t rejoice and God will, you know, totally punish them).

So, keep obeying God and everything will work out in the end.

  10. 5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Two things can never be taken away, I walk with God and the knowledge that he gives us in wisdom. Something that we can all learn from Solomon is the importance of applicable wisdom. Growing from each experience and learning to Lean on God through every troubled time. No matter what happens to us and no matter what we go through if we can trust in him and the things that he teaches us, at the end of the day we will be safe

  11. 2 For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.

If evil men studieth destruction with their ❤. Then with our whole being we should study truth!!! The world divides and conquers but we must UNITE TO CONQUER!!! IN JESUS NAME!!!

  12. 28 Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips.

Do not place the blame on anyone if you do not know the whole story. God gives his people wisdom. We must learn how to use it if we are to do what thus saith the Lord. Don’t be like the fool, embrace being prudent.

  13. 24:28 be not a witness against your neighbor
Without cause: and deceit not with your lips.

    —-
    👉🏼Mind your own business!!!
    I believe someone with personal
    Issues would do such thing.
    This person would be vulnerable
To be used in such bad evil way
That would go the extra mile just
To do something wrong against his neighbor.
    Healing
    Deliverance
    And Lots of Jesus
    Is needed.

  14. 16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Therefore, do not sit on the judgement seat. It doesn’t matter what you fall with, how you fell, or when you fell as long as you get right back up. That’s the thing, backsliders don’t realize that they CAN RETURN HOME!!! THE LIGHT IS ON EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE IS WAITING FOR YOUR RETURN, YOUR ROOM IS INTACT!!! JUST COME HOME!!! JUST GET BACK UP!!! Is that simple!!!! GET BACK UP!!! No judgement and we will forget all that happened when you were gone!!! Just come home!!!”

  15. Proverbs 24

13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

    King James Bible
Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
    Isaiah 7:15

So what a better way to begin today with the richness of the Word. Honey and the Honeycomb.
Honeycomb is very beneficial you body ;filled with nutrients .
Just as the Word of God is . We must allow the nutrients to be absorb into our spiritual body .
You have to chew on honeycomb to get the benefits for the natural which actually is great for the immune system , it can help with colds and other diseases. Let’s chew on the Word of God today allowing the benefits to ward off the works of the flesh and to strengthen our spiritual immune system .
Sweeter than Honey and the Honeycomb.

    Psalms 19:10
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.

  16. 14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

    BUILDING A STRONG HOUSE

3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

The LORD directed me again to these 3 words.

    WISDOM
    UNDERSTANDING
    KNOWLEDGE

Living by these 3 principals will strengthen our FAITH and Relationship with JESUS. Making choices by WISDOM and seeking UNDERSTANDING will naturally produce KNOWLEDGE which will increase STRENGTH.

    A STRONG HOUSE

1Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

The word Temple there indicates a “House for GOD”. My body is a House for GOD and WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING AND KNOWLEDGE makes it STRONG in JESUS by the power of the Holy Ghost.

  18. 30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

    Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

We are in the last days and we must be aware of the snares of the enemy around us. If we are not careful of those traps, the enemy will lull us to asleep before we realize it! 2020 was a year of uncertainty but one thing remained true…. God was faithful and showed His mercy upon our church, many churches. Thank you, Lord for we know where our help cometh and that we must strive to further the Gospel to all who hunger.

  19. Proverbs 24:16,17 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

Strength in the face of adversity is the true test of one’s endurance.

Hebrews 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds.

Keep your mind on Jesus and endure till the end.

  20. 10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

In everything that we do, we have to prepare physically, mentally, and spiritually. There is always going to be a time that we must face adversity while in this world. There will be times that it may seem that we will not be able to overcome the enemy and will not have strength to survive. We have to train to achieve victory. If we are not prepared we will lose the battle. If our mindset is not on victory, we will be defeated. Can I tell you that if you don’t practice like you will play, then you will not win.

The more resistance there is the more we will be strengthened. We have to work all parts of our lives to achieve a level of performance. That is including reading the word of God, fasting to place our flesh under subjection, and prayer that will prepare us mentally. If we want to have revival then we have to push until something happens. Because if we remain still, then we become stagnant and begin to smell foul. It is time to rise in this 19th year and take back everything that the enemy has taken from us. Be bold and brave to further the kingdom of God.

  21. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:

Well, the Word is telling me to me honey… I realize I’m supposed to be on a fast today…but I need to be obedient to the Word right now. Honey will wake me up right now because I’m struggling to stay upright, surely the will of God is to obey the Word.

It is quite amazing how folks will hunt the Word just to find a Word that they can use to justify what they are wanting to do for the moment. While honey is good, obedience is better! Welcome to day 1 of the 7 day fast.😁

  22. 17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

18 Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

A man of good character should never rejoice when trouble catches up with his adversary, or be happy to see him stumble. If the Lord sees anyone harboring a gloating, vindictive spirit, He will consider that spirit more punishable than the guilt of the enemy.

  23. “A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24:3-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬
The blessing of building a home with God’s wisdom, God’s understanding, and God’s knowledge will bring precious and pleasant riches in the spiritual sense and often in the material sense. God’s blessing is on the home that seeks and honors His wisdom.

  24. 30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

When the Lords comes for us to give account for our lives, what will He find? Will He find our field all grown over with the cares of life? Will He finds weeds in the flowerbeds of our heart?

We must protect what God has given to us – the privilege to carry His Spirit, be part of His royal family. Daily I must weed my heart from hatred, bitterness, pride, self righteousness at the altar of the Lord. I must take the Word of God and purify my heart and thoughts and allow His Spirit to work in me – making me into His image and likeness.

The enemy would want us to rock us to sleep with a slothful mind set that we don’t have time to pray and read the Word, but God has allowed us to see that if we will take time for Him, he will help us accomplish the things on our list for the day.

  25. 3Through [skillful and godly] wisdom a house [a life, a home, a family] is built,
And by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation],
4And by knowledge its rooms are filled
With all precious and pleasant riches.

Wisdom and knowledge through God are precious riches. We can build our homes and families grounded in the word of God and it produces a firm foundation to live by and raise our children by. Even when the storms of life rage against us, we have the help of the Lord to endure- through him. We cannot expect to be this well off when we take God out of the equation because we can have his peace through the storms.

  26. “Wisdom is like honey for your life— if you find it, your future is bright.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24:14‬ ‭CEV‬‬

Anyone wanting to live w/o wisdom is foolish in all of his ways.

Wisdom gives you guidance and a plan to keep you safe and be spiritually healthy.

In proverbs chapter 4 as children is telling us to hear the instruction of a father. A father will always lead their children down the right path to truth and righteousness. He is setting up his children for wisdom, success and to be victorious in his future, to live and not die.

I still don’t understand why children feel as they’re lacking and want to taste the way of the world.

“He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.

Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4:4-7, 10, 13, 20, 22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  27. “ I took a long look and pondered what I saw; the fields preached me a sermon and I listened:”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24:32 MSG‬‬

Jesus can have a word for us come from anywhere. While we are walking, working, shopping, etc. But we have to make sure we are tuned in to listen. I thank God for speaking into each of our lives. I pray we never cease seeking after His wisdom

  28. 10 “If you fall to pieces in a crisis, there wasn’t much to you in the first place.” MSG

Simply put, we are each tested and given opportunities to fall or rise.

3 “It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation…” MSG

We can see that it takes wisdom to ensure that we continue to RISE instead of fall through any test, trial, or pandemic.

Proverbs 2:6 states “For the Lord giveth wisdom”, through Jesus we are able to RISE.
As we heard last night, It is Time to RISE!

  29. 5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

Having the knowledge of god’s word hid in our hearts is like carrying a two edged sword with us at all times, it gives us the assurance of knowing that no matter what comes against us we will have the ability to fight through any battle. But if we are not willing to learn from god’s word each and every day our weapon will become dulled, but instead of us being dulled we should sharpen ourselves in prayer and studying god’s word every day.

  30. 16The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.

Yes, we may fail God many times, but we know to get back up. We know to ask forgiveness and repent. We know God is by our side, he will not leave you. We know God is listening thru prayer, and he will listen. So if you fall, get back up.

  31. 20 For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.

21 My son, fear thou the Lord and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:

22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?

23 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou are righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him

  32. 20 For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.

  33. Praise God! 20 For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.

I see the words there shall be no reward for the wicked and I think people who do bad things have rewards all the time, but I have to put my mind in the spirit. The wicked have no reward from Jesus! Jesus does not reward the wicked! I have to live for the truth and not corruption. The influence of evil will be putout!

  34. Proverbs 24:10, “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”

If thou faint (become weak, fail, or become weary) in times of adversity (trouble, trials, afflictions, difficulties, hardship, sorrow, etc…), then your strength is small.
So after thinking about verse 10, I had to go back and read verse 5, “A wise man is strong, yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.”
So to me, someone who faints during times of adversity, and their strength is small, is someone who is lacking in wisdom and in knowledge of who God is, and what He can do for them during times of adversity.
So, if your lacking in wisdom, “Ask God for wisdom, (James 1:5),” and 2 Peter 3:18 says, “But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ…”
Ask for wisdom and Grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, become strong and increase in strength, and the next time you go through adversity, you will know who to turn to and trust in to help and deliver you. “JESUS”

  35. 10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

    Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

    Ephesians 3:13
Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory

    2 Corinthians 4:16
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

There is a lot of adversity in this world today, and there is going to be more as time goes, but we need to wait upon the Lord to keep our strength renewed, so we dont faint in the time of adversity. God wants to know who is going to stay strong till the end. I want to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

  36. Deliver those who are drawn toward death, And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
    Proverbs 24:11 NKJV

We should have this attitude in our spirit. To always view souls with compassion and do all that ia possible to keep them from leaving this world without Jesus! We must do all that’s in our reach, whether it be a random act of kindness or a kind word. We must do all that we can to live, give Jesus!

  37. 13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

We should be ready to dwell in knowledge of the kingdom, it should be our delight to open up his word to be ready to stop what we do in a day to day and just talk to God and that alone should be like a gift to us. That it being so sweet that we go back and do it again again.

  38. Proverbs 24:13-14
“My child, eat honey, for it is good, and the honeycomb is sweet to the taste. In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short.”

‭I learned to have wisdom so my future will be bright

  39. Proverbs 24:6
So don’t go to war without wise guidance; victory depends on having many advisers.

You can’t fight a spiritual battle with natural weapons. We can’t work in our flesh to fight the enemy. You must fight spirit with spirit. Don’t bring a knife to a gunfight. If we are going to fight this spiritual battle we must use our spiritual weapons which is the word of God.

2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV) For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds

    Thank you Jesus
Thank you Jesus for your word Wednesday night

  40. “I walked by the field of a lazy person, the vineyard of one with no common sense. I saw that it was overgrown with nettles. It was covered with weeds, and its walls were broken down. Then, as I looked and thought about it, I learned this lesson: A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24:30-34‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There’s no pleasure in a lazy person. This passage reminds me that we must work while it is day. I must look at my vineyard and tend to it. In my life, are there weeds of negativity that need to be plucked up? Do I have walls of conviction that needs to be repaired? The time is now! Wake up!

  41. “If you faint in the day of adversity, Your strength is small.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The day of adversity comes to everyone. Adversity is no respecter of person.

We each are tested to see where our strength lies.

Adversity does not cause our strength to be small, it only reveals it.

But if we daily commit ourselves to Him, He will be our strength!

  42. 14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

  43. “Don’t interfere with good people’s lives; don’t try to get the best of them. No matter how many times you trip them up, God-loyal people don’t stay down long; Soon they’re up on their feet, while the wicked end up flat on their faces.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24:15-16‬ ‭MSG‬‬

In life you will stumble and fall. It’s not about how many times you fall it’s about the fact that the righteous have a Redeemer and they will get up again.

  44. I walked by the field of a lazy person, the vineyard of one with no common sense. I saw that it was overgrown with nettles. It was covered with weeds, and its walls were broken down. Then, as I looked and thought about it, I learned this lesson: A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.
    Proverbs 24:30‭-‬34 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/pro.24.30-34.NLT

Taking time to rest is necessary, but I’ve been guilty of taking a little extra time when there are things that need to be done! We starve when we are not focused on the tasks at hand and the mission were called to. We starve cuz we don’t labor then we don’t get paid. We starve spiritually when we snooze instead of wake and pray when the time arises in the morning. We starve ourselves of opportunity when we don’t go out and seize the day. We starve the Kingdom of God and those that are hungry when we choose to do something for our own pleasure rather than to give of ourselves.

  45. Proverbs 24

This Chapter means that, We should not be deceived the enemy but listen to God for He gives You Strength to endure trials and tribulations.

  46. “Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What good does it do to learn something but not retain it. How do you retain information… you must study it to get understanding. When you plant a seed what good does it do to plant the seed if you don’t water it and give us the necessary sunlight it needs. Just as in the natural if you want something to grow you must water it is how we have to be as Christians. When we are taught we can’t just learn it and not do anything with it because it’s not going to grow and we aren’t going to retain it. So how do we ensure that we get an understanding of the knowledge we are being taught… we study! Study by seeking god through prayer and asking him to open your eyes to what you are hearing. Get in your word! Just like you have to study and read and reread to understand what you are taught in school the same applies in the church. When we are taught we have to take the time to go back and reread the scriptures and study it to gain understanding so that way we are obtaining knowledge. If you want to gain knowledge you must be willing to put in the work.

  47. 3 A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense.

5 The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger.
    Proverbs 24:3 & 5 NLT

The things in this word do not make us stronger nor wiser. The only thing in this world that can help us get wiser and make the right choices is the word of God and the only person is the Lord. Many of us have learned from our mistakes but still repeat them over and over, the Lord has seen you and corrected you but why is it that you don’t obey what he is telling you? As the children of the Lord let us build our life’s on the corrections the Lord has given us and grow on them. With God we can all grow wiser in mind and in spirit, eat his word daily seek him daily and you will see your life change in wonderful ways. With the Lord nothing is impossible and we rise to victory with him and his love for us!

  48. “Don’t fret because of evildoers; don’t envy the wicked. For evil people have no future; the light of the wicked will be snuffed out.”
    Proverbs 24:19-20 NLT

Don’t worry about the evildoers and don’t wish to be like them for the wicked have no part in the kingdom of God. Everything of the wicked will come to an end. Seek after the word of God seek first the kingdom of God and build a relationship with Jesus. Keep God’s instructions and obey them and you shall find life with Jesus.

  49. 16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
18 Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

We will fall many times throughout our lifetime but we must rise up over and over. Knowing that God will not forsake us. God will restore us and lead us out victorious. As we see our enemy stumble or fall, show mercy and pray over them blessings. Don’t let yourself be happy of their falls. God has created us to be kind, merciful and to love one another. No matter how mean or evil they can be, show the love of God always.

  50. 16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

We all have or will fall but we must get up again and keep going.
Every knockdown every set back is a learning tool. Learn from them and trust the Lord.

  51. 30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

In the beginning of the chapter we see wisdom builds the house. Yet by the end of this chapter the we see what it takes to see that same house come to ruins.

Slothfulness will destroy anything that can be built up. Success takes work no matter what we are desiring to be successful in. Let us learn to not be slothful but wise servants.

  52. In this chapter I learned that they key to making a strong holy temple is wisdom. Our house of God should be standing on a solid rock and on His understanding and knowledge! We must not take the credit of what He had done! Let’s just make sure that during this seven day fast and prayer we are building a stronger relationship with God, and our prayer room is getting stronger. We must prayer over this city especially during this new year that God will bring this world peace and understanding. Let y it r knowledge be of man but be on God!

  53. 16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

Even a righteous man has their downfalls. What separates them from the wicked is their determination to rise. When the righteous get back up they will turn to the Lord. The wicked can place stumbling blocks for the just to trip them up but the wicked will fall in the snares they set.

When it comes to stumbling and falling Jesus wants us to get back up and get back on track. The Lord wants us to learn from those mistake and turn away from it. When we repent he forgives us and embraces us with open arms. We should want the same for others when we see them stumble. We shouldn’t laugh or gossip about those who slip up but encourage them to get back up. Instead of tearing each other down as a body of Christ we should be building each other up.

  54. Proverbs 24

13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:

14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

Knowledge and wisdom in so doing and when you find it it shall be tour reward. Your righteous expectations will not be removed.

  55. 30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.

32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

Just like this field, your spiritual life matters too. We have to keep it dress it. If we are slack in that are of our lives it will put over to all.

  56. “The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭24:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

A little bit of Jesus speaking before his time.

“But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
These words of wisdom are echoed from the mouth of Jesus later in the Bible. This just shows the oneness of God even more!

  57. Hang in there

10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

It’s easy to do the right thing when everything is going your way but when everything is falling apart is where your character is tested. When things rise against you and stack up is where integrity is built. Don’t give up now! You are a child of God!

  58. “My child eat honey, for it is good, and the honeycomb is sweet to the taste. In the same way, wisdom is sweet to the soul. If you find it, you may have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short.” Proverbs 24:13 – 14

“For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse.” Proverbs 2:10 – 12 NIV

Wisdom is mentioned several times in Proverbs. I knew someone who was very intelligent, but lacked severely in common sense. God gives you wisdom and helps you with common sense. If knowledge is not wisely used, why have it?
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  59. 23 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

When we allow people to have and do because of their name, we go directly against Gods Word.

  60. 1 Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.
2 For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.

How many can remember as a child looking at someone or something evil in the world and thinking it was cool or even wanted to be like it?? No. . . ?? Just me?? . . . And then realizing that it was not cool, but frowned on by God. My parents would teach us principles of what we should strive to be like. “. . . Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be. . .” Words that could be said again and again! Hopefully encouraged.

5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.

I want to be wise, strong, knowledgeable, and strengthened. Why would we want to be anything else but wise?? If so, step back and evaluate.

16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Let’s not beat ourselves up because we keep falling, but rather let’s be proud to get back up again. Let us be thankful to not stay down, but rather rise up to the occasion and try again.

  61. An honest answer
is like a kiss of friendship.

A true friend does not cover up problems but honestly points out areas for improvement. A wide person welcomes the correction of a friend. Who can be that friend? JESUS!!! Jesus is our friend because He wants the best for us. He wants us to see ourselves how He sees us. Just reading His Word will have me slapped in the face. He speaks to us with love and affirmation. He is the only one who will never fail. Jesus will be the only person who will not lie to us. He wants us to be His friend!!!
