Yield: The reality is that we can’t accurately evaluate all the areas of our life but God knows us completely. It is a powerful time when we honestly invite God to search us and speak to us about any area of our life that He wants to help us with. Lord, I yield my heart to you. Remove the spirit of complacency and renew a fervency in my relationship with You.

1 Kings 5

And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.

And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,

Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.

And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the Lordthis day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.

And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.

My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.

10 So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire.

11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.

12 And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

13 And king Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.

14 And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home: and Adoniram was over the levy.

15 And Solomon had threescore and ten thousand that bare burdens, and fourscore thousand hewers in the mountains;

16 Beside the chief of Solomon’s officers which were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the work.

17 And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

18 And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.

  1. 12 And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

Every good thing we have and all of our possessions a gift from God. Solomon was the wisest of all men because his wisdom was given to him from the Lord. Any wisdom we have acquired has been made possible by the Lord because he has keep our mind from becoming reprobate, and called us to have faith in his plan of salvation.

  2. “And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭5:12‬ ‭KJV

The fact that king Solomon could had asked for power, riches, strength etc. But he asked the LORD for wisdom. Wisdom to lead the people of GOD. In building the Temple of the LORD. To have peace and order in his household/kingdom.
Solomon was focused. His focus was First The Kingdom to Live – Give JESUS 2

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  3. 4 But now the Lord my God has given me peace on every side; I have no enemies, and all is well.
5 So I am planning to build a Temple to honor the name of the Lord my God, just as he had instructed my father, David. For the Lord told him, ‘Your son, whom I will place on your throne, will build the Temple to honor my name.’

God will give you peace from every side i you give yourself to him. Build your temple strong with the word of God, prayer, and fasting. Pastor said fasting gets us in line with what Gods doing. I know that reading cleanses our ways, and prayer strengthens us in the holy ghost. moral of it all seek ye first the Kingdom and his righteousness and you got nothing to worry about. Honor the Lord!

  4. The first part of this chapter talks about the alliance with King Hiram. Where and with whom is your alliance with?? Isaiah 30:1 NLT says ” “What sorrow awaits my rebellious children,” says the Lord. “You make plans that are contrary to mine. You make alliances not directed by my Spirit, thus piling up your sins.” Same verse ESV “Ah, stubborn children,” declares the Lord, “who carry out a plan, but not mine, and who make an alliance,[a] but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin;”.

The second part talks about how the temple work begins. This reminded me at the point and time we are in NOW as we start 2021; the time is now and the place is here, POFW. Let’s GO 2021…..LIVE-GIVE JESUS squared.

  5. 12 And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

Peace in the Will of God. When you’re doing what the Lord has called you to do, there is great peace and favor. Lead us today God as we yield to You, show us Your Will and what you would have us to do.

  6. 3 Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

4 But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

Everyone has their place and mission in the Kingdom. David’s was to war and put enemies under his feet, Solomon’s was to build God’s House; are we doing what God has called us to do?

  7. 3 Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.
4 But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

This could be just me but what I’m learning is that just because I’m not allowed to do something or just because God has me on assignment for something else is not because I’ve done something wrong. David was not allowed to build the temple because he had blood on his hands due to all of the wars that he fought, however there was no sin that was involved it was just all in preparation so his son would not have to fight and could build the temple freely. We are all formed in purpose on Earth and not one job we are given to do is less worthy than the next

  8. 1 Kings 5:17 -18 [amp] The king commanded, and they hewed and brought out costly stones in order to lay the foundation of the house with dressed stone..
[18] Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders and the men of Genal did the hewing and prepared the timber and stones to build the house.
This chapter is about working together in Unity.
Ps. 127 : 1 [ amp] Except the Lord builds the house; they labor in vain who build it; except the Lord keep this city, the watchman wakes but in vain.
Here preparations for being made to build the temple together.
We are the Temple of God everything needs to be in order.
Be in unity as one together.

  9. Do what God has called us to do….serve him 24/7, love your neighbor as yourself, lead your neighbor to God, live a life of a caring non selfish child of God who wants all his neighbors to live as he does with the HolyGhost inside of him!

  10. 2 And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

I’m so thankful that God is faithful to His promises. The Lird spoke wisdom into Solomon and it had no choice but to happen. This did not mean Solomon would never make a mistake. With this wisdom came the God of peace. He had peace with God and man as long as He followed God.

  11. 5:1 and Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon for he had heard that they had anointed him
King in the room of his father: fort Hiram was ever a lover of David.

    ——-
    What a friendship!!!!
There is still a special friendship between friends
Regardless. On how this world is turning.
The light of God still shines,
There is still good people who cares and treasure
A good friendship, honest and willing to help
Based on the pure honest love, Gods love in us. 😀

  12. I Kings 5

    A Purpose
Solomon purposed in his heart he would build the temple. It was not for self but in honor of God .
What is my purpose? Daily inventory allows me to see what my true purpose is in life. Will it be to Glorify God ? I pray my purpose is exactly that.
Solomon sought wisdom in all he did and had a true purpose driven life . Having a purpose every day for the Kingdom to build it up for the glory of God . Not self but for Him . A true purpose for the Kingdom.
Seek first the Kingdom thru unity ,example snd following Jesus daily .

  13. 1 Kings 5

1 And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.

2 And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,

3 Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

4 But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

  14. 10 So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire.

11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.

God will line you up with people that will help you reach your purpose for the kingdom of God, but you need to stay faithful to those people that are willing to help you accomplish your goals.

  15. 18 And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.

Working TOGETHER to build the TEMPLE OF GOD!!! As time passes, POFW, has worked together to build a TEMPLE for our community. A place where we ALL can come and receive from God. We have pushed, build, prayed, provided, and worked for a common goal. It is not time to SLUMBER NOW!!! WAKE UP POFW!!!! THERE IS STILL WORK TO BE DONE!!! SOULS TO WIN!!! BATTLES TO FIGHT!!! LETS PRAY!! LETS CONTINUE TO WORK FOR THE CHILDREN OF OUR COMMUNITY!!LETS LIVE JESUS! SO WE CAN GIVE JESUS!!! LORD SOFTEN THEIR HEARTS SO THEY MAY SEE YOU IN US!! In Jesus Name Amen

  16. 4 But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.
5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

Lord let my body be a place for you to dwell in.

  17. 4 But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

Solomon was chosen to build the temple for the Lord that David his father wanted to build. But since David was a man of war, God chosen Solomon. We find on the 4th verse Solomon stated that God gave him rest on every side. There were no enemies or adversaries to confront Solomon. Even through the battles God has always been with us and when we’ve committed our all to him he will give us rest.

If we trust the Lord with all our hearts and all our soul, he will provide all that we have need of, even through the toughest part of the battle. We have to sell out not to the world but to the kingdom of God, to do his commandments and his will. It has to be less of us and more of him. That is what it’s going to take to get and facilitate revival in this end time outpouring of God’s spirit. We have to live Jesus to give Jesus2. Let’s be the church God has called us to be.

    BUILDING A CHURCH

7 And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the Lordthis day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.
8 And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.
9 My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.

BUILDING A CHURCH is the call of the Spiritual and the Natural. We are Blessed to have a CHURCH or Body of people to gather, pray, fast and worship with. This is the Spiritual Church. The BODY of Christ JESUS. This how we LIVE JESUS. The Natural Church is the Place that we are Blessed to Gather to worship, learn and fellowship with JESUS.

The Spiritual BUILDING of a Church is built on the foundation of an agreement or covenant from JESUS, which is HIS Blood in exchange for our sins. We accept that covenant when we are Baptized in HIS Name JESUS. This is the most productive place to GIVE JESUS.

Likewise the BUILDING of the Natural Church is built on the foundation of an agreement or covenant, which is our service, in exchange for HIS Spirit or The HOLY GHOST sealing us into HIS CHURCH as on the day of Pentecost and thereafter.

In the passage above we witness agreement, innovation and commitment. These are 3 key principals of BUILDING A CHURCH.

An important word I want to point out for today is “league” in verse 12.

1285. briyth, ber-eeth´; a compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh):—confederacy, (con-)feder(-ate), covenant, league.

Notice the word LEAGUE also means COVENANT. The COVENANT is key to the BUILDING of the house of GOD. For the church to become the powerful force that JESUS died for it to become, we must work together in agreement and “make a league together” and honor the league, agreement, covenant to BUILD.

This principal makes what we do on the First Tuesday of each year so very important to our Church Growth and BUILDING A CHURCH for JESUS in Fort Worth to Impact Lives to Change the World.

Thank you in advance to all that will make a league together this day in JESUS Name.

  19. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
1Ki 5:12 And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together

This scripture shows great hope in the promises of God. Solomon asked for wisdom and this scripture shows that he was given wisdom. Solomon didn’t ask the worldly leader Hiram for a hand out, but he paid him a fair price for the goods and work of the king. We who are in the Kingdom should always be cautious of seeking handouts from the world and instead we should seek Wisdom from the Lord to pay a fair price for goods distributed.

  20. I Kings 5:12 And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a treaty together.

He increased in wisdom more and more because he showed wisdom and all his doings with Hiram.

I kings 3:12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart ; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.

As we build the kingdom of God together we will have peace with each other

  21. 17 And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

The foundation is the most important. Cause we can have a beautiful temple but will it withstand the strong winds,, the shifting in the spirit, will it stand strong when the tide rises??? JESUS SHOULD BE THE FOUNDATION,WALLS, BRACING,. ROOF. HE SHOULD BE OUR EVERYTHING!!!

  22. 5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

    What are purposed to build?
Awe we building Gods house or our house our wants and desires.
To have a relationship with God we will have to want it go work for God will force his will on us or a relationship with us.
He wants to talk to us but if we are to busy and doing our own thing he will move on until we purpose in our hearts to go to him.

  23. 4 But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.
5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

The Lord spoke to David that his son would build the Temple and He also caused it to come to pass. The Lord caused resources or materials to be available along with laborers. And of course it cost Solomon something. His father David said he would not offer to God anything that did not cost him. This principal is still true. As we humble ourselves before God this week in fasting and prayer, we are giving of ourselves for a closer walk with him, we are asking to be more sensitive to his speaking in our lives-whether for us or someone else. It’s all for the kingdom-such as I have, give I thee.

  24. 18 And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.

Hiram had to rise to the occasion presented before him to join the team of leaders that would work together building the house of the Lord that had been promised to David his son would build. You may think how is this person hewing out trees a leader. Glad you had that thought. Anyone that is an intrical part of building what God desires for His kingdom is a leader; leading by example, leading in excellent workmanship, leading in attitude and action.

How applicable that this chapter is today, when we are asking leaders to rise up for the cause of the Kingdom at POFW.

  25. 1 “King Hiram of Tyre had always been a loyal friend of David… ”
8 “…“Praise the Lord today for giving David a wise son to be king of the great nation of Israel.”

The similarities we can find in verse 1 and 8, are their actions spoke for their character. Two different people, two different characteristics, yet through their past actions we can see who they are. Loyal and wise.

When LIVING Jesus we must keep this in mind, our actions will speak for our character. If we are continually tripping or dropping things, our actions would speak that we are clumsy. If we are always complaining or unapproachable, our actions would not speak we are living in joy.

I pray that we are able to LIVE Jesus through our actions today, so that we can have our pure character through Him shine through us. So that we may be able to GIVE Jesus.

  26. 1 Kings 5:4
But now the lord my God has given me peace on every side; I have no enemies, and all is well.

    Philippians 4:7
Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

  27. 1 Kings 5:6 & 13-18
    6) Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants:…

    13) And king Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty men.
    14) And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home: and Adoniram was over the levy.
    15) And Solomon had threescore and ten thousand that bare burdens, and fourscore thousand hewers in the mountains;
    16) Beside the chief of Solomon’s officers which were over the work, tree thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the work.
    17) And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.
    18) And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.

These scriptures show us that everyone’s job was important in preparing to build the house. They also show us a spirit of Unity. They worked together, “my servants shall be with thy servants,” and “Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers.”

It’s the same in the Kingdom of God. Everyone’s job is important, and we need to be Unified and Work Together to build the Kingdom of God.

  28. “Behold, I intend to build a house (temple) to the Name of the LORD my God, just as the LORD said to my father David: ‘Your son whom I will put on your throne in your place shall build the house for My Name and Presence.’ So now, command that they cut cedar trees from Lebanon for me, and my servants will join your servants, and I will give you whatever wages you set for your servants. For you know that there is no one among us who knows how to cut timber like the men of Sidon.” When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly and said, “Blessed be the LORD this day, who has given David a wise son [to be king] over this great people.” So Hiram sent word to Solomon, saying, “I have heard the message which you sent to me; I will do everything you wish concerning the cedar and cypress timber.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭5:5-8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

King Solomon had a great vision to build the temple of the Lord. He knew that his father King David desired to do it but since he was a man of war he was unable to. What really got my attention was that King Solomon had friends surrounding him that were willing to help. Friendships are very important. We must choose our circle of friends wisely. Surround yourself with friend that will help you achieve your goals.

  29. 1 Kings 5

18 And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.

Count the cost David did all he could in the way of the plans and monies in the treasuries. God the creator counted the cost when He planed the price for our transgreations. The total through Jesus was Jesus death on the cross. Jesus prayed and asked if the requirement if that cup could be removed. Then he added not my will but thine be done. We who became Son’s and Daughters of God are at this time again counting the cost in this fast as we say to Jesus as servants. We are to give our all.

Luke 14:28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?
Luke 14:33 So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.

  30. King Hiram of Tyre had always been a loyal friend of David. When Hiram learned that David’s son Solomon was the new king of Israel, he sent ambassadors to congratulate him. Then Solomon sent this message back to Hiram: “You know that my father, David, was not able to build a Temple to honor the name of the Lord his God because of the many wars waged against him by surrounding nations. He could not build until the Lord gave him victory over all his enemies. But now the Lord my God has given me peace on every side; I have no enemies, and all is well. So I am planning to build a Temple to honor the name of the Lord my God, just as he had instructed my father, David. For the Lord told him, ‘Your son, whom I will place on your throne, will build the Temple to honor my name.’”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭5:1-come be5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Satan does all he can, to hinder Kingdom work. When there is no evil abroad, then let us be ready and active in that which is good, and go forward. Let God’s promises quicken our endeavours. As we fast and pray this week let’s remember that Kingdom work should always come before our pleasures.

  31. 3 Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

    7. And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.

God will cause your enemies to rise up and be an asset to your mission instead of a headache! Thank you Jesus who has all authority and power!

Solomon could have for riches and power but asked for wisdom that came along with understanding. God blessed Solomon for fulfilling the building of the temple when his father could not.

    #lovetheKingdom

  32. “The LORD gave Solomon wisdom, just as He promised him; and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭5:12‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Jesus will always remain faithful to His promise and then some. Solomon was given wisdom, an ally, and workers. Yes, Hiram was a friend of David but as my mom always says ‘The earnest things just keep on happening’. The request Solomon made to Hiram could have went sideways but it goes to show when the favor of God is on your life doors will open that no man can shut!

I thank God that in Solomon bearing His weakness to God, He blessed Solomon more than He asked. I pray we give God free reign of our hearts, our strengths and our weaknesses.

  33. 5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

  34. 12 And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

  35. So the Lord gave wisdom to Solomon, just as he had promised. And Hiram and Solomon made a formal alliance of peace.
    1 Kings 5:12 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/1ki.5.12.NLT

Wisdom translates to every branch of the tree. Every aspect of life is well nourished when wisdom is heeded. I’m so grateful for a Father that pours wisdom into me. Help me to heed Your Word, my King.

  36. 6“Therefore, please command that cedars from Lebanon be cut for me. Let my men work alongside yours, and I will pay your men whatever wages you ask. As you know, there is no one among us who can cut timber like you Sidonians!”

Nothing is given, all is earned. We have to work to provide for the family. No matter the wage being paid, take the opportunity to work and provide. We too should work/serve in the Kingdom. By working in his kingdom, God sees it, and will bless you.

  37. In this chapter I learned that God won’t do anything until he puts his enemies under his feet then God was talking to someone and he said your son it’s going to be the king in a couple days

  38. Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

One of the Lords key purposes for his people is that they offer him pure worship. From the begining of Gods relationship with Israel, he made provision for their worship of him to be pleasing to him. When Solomon built the Temple as a permanent worship sanctuary, he took great care to build ” a Temple to honor the name of the Lord” He built it according with the pattern he was given. There is only one God that we should worship. Our worship must come from a pure heart. Our daily and weekly worship of God should have a sense of Gods presence, which will be a source of genuine joy. Our whole life should include daily worship of Christ, acknowledging him as Lord. Worship is to show reverence and adoration for (a deity); We should worship him, honoring him daily everywhere we go and at all times. We are to live so as to attract and motivate others to desire to know the Lord and worship Him. We must not let any idol take Gods place in our hearts.

  39. 4 But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
    ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There is no peace like the peace that comes with being with Jesus.

  40. But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

  41. 3 Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

We must fast to kill the Flesh so that we can have a clear mind and Spirit, so we can have a closer walk with God.

  42. 4 But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.
    Perfect Peace- Indiana Bible College
“You bring Peace, perfect peace how can it be?
When the wind and the waves is all I see,
There is something about Your name, that my mind can not explain
    You calm the wind
    You calm the sea
You calm the fire raging in me
How can I fear when your with me?
    You bring perfect peace.”

This song explains that the love and the peace that we have when we walk with God is so perfect that our minds can not even explain it.

  43. 17 And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

The stones that we lay as our foundation are the things that we hold as a high priority in our lives, while other people may put worldly things as their foundation that is when we must put god and his word as our foundation because the things of the world will crumble but god and his word will never!

  44. Solomon honored his father David and our LORD by building a house in GODS name. David was busy with war raging around him and did not have time to build GODS house. GOD provided peace for Solomon so Solomon was able to start building the first temple for our LORD. GOD makes a way for his children to have the opportunity to worship him. We all are able to love and be close to our Saviour. This week of fasting will bring us all together to build our relationship with GOD.
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  45. 4 But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

Sometimes in life we gotta wait till God removes what he has to handle and then we can resume to build upon what he wants us to build! It’s all about the patient we show in our walk with God! I thank you Jesus for what you have taught me in my life over the past years!

  46. 4 But now the Lord my God has given me peace on every side; I have no enemies, and all is well.
5 So I am planning to build a Temple to honor the name of the Lord my God, just as he instructed my father, David. For the Lord told him, “Your son, whom I will place on your throne, will build the Temple to honor my name.”
    1 Kings 5:4-5 NLT

O Lord how you never fail us is amazing! We are blessed because of you Lord you gave your all for us and now it is our turn. See Solomon was blessed by the Lord and the Lord kept his promises towards Solomon, even though Solomon might’ve made a mistake he came to the Lord, and look at that what the Lord did for him. There is never a day that goes by where the Lord isn’t proud of us he’s sees us changing our paths and our hearts for him. Let us focus on that to grow with the Lord in our hearts and spirit, to get closer to him and rise with him. Let us build a house of prayer with the Lord, later on you will rise with the Lord in victory with his love for each of us.

  47. And the king commanded them to quarry large stones, costly stones, and hewn stones, to lay the foundation of the temple.
    I Kings 5:17 NKJV

We shouldn’t just worry and work on our appearance but also on the deep and hidden things. This is how God works. He works in the deep and hidden things when others are concerned with their appearance only.
When we concern ourselves with having a great foundation not only does it make us firm and solid it will also make our temple appear even greater. We are His Temple

  48. “And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭5:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As long as we remain in his will god will give us the desires of his heart. Solomon asked for wisdom and he gave him just that and much more. Sometimes when we ask for one thing god will give it to us and then pour out more because of our faithfulness. Solomon remained faithful into god and reaped the benefits. Let us continue to remain faithful unto him through our praise, worship, fasting and prayer.

  49. 12And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

God will do whatsoever he promised. If you have received a promise from God, continue to hold on to it. His word will perform whatever it was sent out to do. Stay strong in knowing, God still has all power.

  50. We can do this together

6 Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.

There is nothing wrong with masking for help. The problem is that folks want to get help but never give any. But God gave us all different skills and gifts so that we would be forced to help one another if we were to succeed. If there’s something in your life that seems insurmountable maybe God is trying to get you to team up with someone and see what will happen. God designed us to help one another so let’s do that. I need Brother Crockett to fix my computer because I cannot do it. I have no problem asking him for help because I know we are meant to do this together. Link up with one another and watch God multiply our efforts.

  51. 12And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.
Solomon was wise, he asked for favor from God, and God granted it.
we shouldn’t desire things of this world, but to seek to get closer to God, and allow God see and use our faithfulness. he’ll bring you such blessings and friends like how solomon was gifted

  52. 12 And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

The Lord gave Salomon all the resources he needed to accomplish the construction of the temple. This included Hiram of course. Hiram was delighted to help when in came to supplying the lumber needed to build the temple. It was a complicated plan though. They had to pass the timber by water.

Salomon didn’t pay him back in gold or silver. He supplied him with wheat and food year after year. This gave opportunity to make an agreement so that a levy be made for the Israelites to travel to retrieve goods. With good wisdom comes good resources. It’s amazing what can be accomplished when we work in peace and within the will of God. God always makes a way and this is a beautiful account of how Gods plans simply unfold.

  53. 4 But now the Lord my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

The only true rest comes from God. Many seek to take a break get away from things but if your mind is still battling and you’re anxious there is no rest. God offers you that peace that rest. And you will know it becuase it will be from every side. Jesus tells those that are weary and heavy layden to come to him and he will give them rest. One other thing that comes to mind is how back on the old testament the Lord told his people about his promises and he referred to it as entering into his rest. So God promises us rest, peace… but we can only find it truly in Him.

  54. 7 And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the Lordthis day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.

By Hiram believing in the power of the God of Israel, he was saying anything you ask I will do. Just as he was friends with. David he was telling Salomon, I will be your friend also.
When we ask according to God will, what ever it is, it will happen. We must remember that we serve a Mighty God.

  55. 12 And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

So, they made a covenant, similar to what we did earlier.

Many times throughout The Word, Men make covenants and some keep them and some break them, but when Jesus makes one it cannot be broken.

  56. 8 And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.

    Matthew 6:8
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

God always provides what we need in our lives and what is needed to further his Kingdom, he is always working for our good, and has it under control.

  57. 17 And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

Our foundation must be great, steady and firm on the Lord. A foundation that is not shaken when our adversary battles against us. Lay out your foundation on His word and you shall see the victory.

  58. 1 Kings 5

This Chapter means that, Hiram helped Solomon to Build The Temple Of The Lord and The Lord blessed Solomon with Wisdom to Discern Good And Evil.

  59. “My servants will bring the logs from the Lebanon mountains to the Mediterranean Sea and make them into rafts and float them along the coast to whatever place you choose. Then we will break the rafts apart so you can carry the logs away. You can pay me by supplying me with food for my household.””
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭5:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What will you sacrifice to build your temple?
One of the main purpose for fast is to resist the flesh and focus on our relationship of God once you get closer to God its start to build and clean your temple. The fire of revival needs fuel Now what is fuel? it’s the word of God and how we implement the word in our daily lives. Sacrifice food and focus in our relationship in Jesus Christ. The sacrifice fight flesh disires and the word fuels our fire for the Lord and builds relationships with the Lord . I pray tonight that we sacrifice and focus on our relationship in this fast.

  60. “Men from the city of Gebal helped Solomon’s and Hiram’s builders prepare the timber and stone for the Temple.”
    1 Kings 5:18 NLT

Every word that God speaks always comes to pass. God lets David’s son Solomon filled the works of David to build a temple of praise to God. We need to hear God speak to us of old promise that He Has spoken to some of us and be submitted and obedient to Him and make an altar of praise to worship Jesus for everything He has done for us. Let’s give God our all in everything we do and give the glory and the honor to Him.

  61. 3 Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the Lord his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

    1 Timothy 3:2-3
    2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

    3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

Being a brawler disqualified you to oversee a church. Why is this a requirement? A brawler is usually a hot head. Someone when enticed, can be baited to use violence. Put the gloves down and war on your knees.

  62. “And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It seems as though Hiram and David were good friends. Hiram sent his servant to check things out when Solomon was anointed king. Hiram probably wanted to know if Solomon ruled like David. The scripture says that Hiram was ever a lover of David. This sounds like a great friendship that was shared. They were not rivals, but instead Friends.

  63. 12 And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: God fulfills his promises to us so often that I’ve noticed that we can take it for granted at times. We are truly blessed in so many ways, he provides everything that we have and everything that we are, to us. Shelter, food, companionship, wisdom, breathe, we get so busy in our own lives and that we can forget the smallest things he provides. Our relationship with him is not fair to him, for we can never outgive the creator of the universe, heaven and earth, our wonderful lives, we live in such a comfortable time in history. We have temperature controlled homes, cars, grocery stores that bring in food from all over the world. We live better than Kings could have just 100 years ago. Now just try and imagine how heaven will treat us, it’s beyond any of our wildest imaginations, just like he is. His promises are more than we deserve. There are not enough words, nor enough time to begin to give him the praise, and glory that he rightfully deserves, but I love telling him how awesome he is, and how thankful I am that he created me. Amen.

  64. 17 And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.
18 And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.

They prepared the house and hewed/prepared the jewels and stones to decorate house. Throughout this chapter Solomon had deals on timber and wood, jewels and stones to this make this building presentable, welcoming, and enjoyable.
