2 Chronicles 4

1 Moreover he made an altar of brass, twenty cubits the length thereof, and twenty cubits the breadth thereof, and ten cubits the height thereof.

Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

And under it was the similitude of oxen, which did compass it round about: ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about. Two rows of oxen were cast, when it was cast.

It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.

And the thickness of it was an handbreadth, and the brim of it like the work of the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies; and it received and held three thousand baths.

He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

And he made ten candlesticks of gold according to their form, and set them in the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left.

He made also ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. And he made an hundred basons of gold.

Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid the doors of them with brass.

10 And he set the sea on the right side of the east end, over against the south.

11 And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basons. And Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house of God;

12 To wit, the two pillars, and the pommels, and the chapiters which were on the top of the two pillars, and the two wreaths to cover the two pommels of the chapiters which were on the top of the pillars;

13 And four hundred pomegranates on the two wreaths; two rows of pomegranates on each wreath, to cover the two pommels of the chapiters which were upon the pillars.

14 He made also bases, and lavers made he upon the bases;

15 One sea, and twelve oxen under it.

16 The pots also, and the shovels, and the fleshhooks, and all their instruments, did Huram his father make to king Solomon for the house of the Lord of bright brass.

17 In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredathah.

18 Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance: for the weight of the brass could not be found out.

19 And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;

20 Moreover the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn after the manner before the oracle, of pure gold;

21 And the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, made he of gold, and that perfect gold;

22 And the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.

  1. Only the finest for the Temple of the Lord. Solomon was meticulous with what he was putting in the House of the Lord.

    How about us? What are we putting in the temple that the lord abides in? What we put in comes out. Carnal things in carnality out. Godly things in nit only does a Godly tho he come out, but they also push us to grow spiritually.

    I must start taking inventory of what I’m putting in this temple.

  2. 19 And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;

    According to the dictionary : A Vessel is
    a hollow container, especially one used to hold liquid, such as a bowl or cask. It’s just something to hold the bread or the light. Our job isn’t to try to be anything more than a placeholder. To be the light and salt of the earth to stand and just be who jesus was to people, to love them where they are and help bring them to Christ. This is something that has never changed all throughout the Bible, the requirement of being obedient. It was never to figure things out that God has already called us to do, it is to do he a placeholder and let Christ shine

  3. 18 Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance: for the weight of the brass could not be found out.

    19 And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;

    The vessels were made of great abundance and this would be what was to help give the Lord what was offered unto him in the temple. Very important pieces of the furniture because it represented he ability to be filled. Like the vessels that were offered by Solomon in the temple, we too are vessels that need to be filled. When we are full of sin, then we are empty of God. But when we wash ourselves during and after repentance, then we are empty so that the spirit of the Lord can enter in. We have to allow the spirit to have more room than we ourselves. We are precious in the site of God, but our flesh can keep us from being filled with the spirit. It can keep us from seeing the mercy and glory of God.

    It’s up to each of us to fill ourselves daily with the glory and spirit of God, so that when we have opportunity to show others they will see Jesus. We have to live Jesus to give Jesus.

  4. The amount of work, attention to detail, and placement of quality precious metals shows the condition of the heart and the importance of the Temple in Solomon’s time.

    The Temple now lies within us, but what have we laid our Temple with? What is the condition of our Temple? What importance do we put on prayer, ministering to those in need, serving in the Kingdom?

  5. 4 It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.

    The Lord wants us to repent from every direction, which will bring us closer to him. The Lord’s work is to seek converts in every part of the world. Jesus died for the sins of the world and He does not want anyone to parish.

  6. 2 Chronicles 4

    He made the Bronze Altar thirty feet long, thirty feet wide, and ten feet high.

    It begins at the altar. The size of the altar seems quite large. An old song comes to mind .

    There’s room at the cross for you
    There’s room at the cross for you
    Though millions have come, there’s still room for one
    Yes there’s room at the cross for you.

    We cannot bypass the altar. It was the first piece of furnishings mentioned . No matter where you make your altar God will meet you there . And there is always room .
    It is not to be a place of fear but a place to bring yourself before God. He waits for you. There is always room.

    “O Come To The Altar”

    Are you hurting and broken within
    Overwhelmed by the weight of your sin
    Jesus is calling
    Have you come to the end of yourself
    Do you thirst for a drink from the well
    Jesus is calling

    O come to the altar
    The Father’s arms are open wide
    Forgiveness was bought with
    The precious blood of Jesus Christ

    Leave behind your regrets and mistakes
    Come today there’s no reason to wait
    Jesus is calling
    Bring your sorrows and trade them for joy
    From the ashes a new life is born
    Jesus is calling

    • Lord help me to never let the fire on my altar die out . Help me to always stay humble and bow before You daily .
      Search me purge out anything that would dishonor You in Jesus name .

  7. In reading this chapter this morning about the furnishings of the Temple, it caught my eye about how everything was set evenly/balanced:

    “The Sea was set on twelve bulls, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east”

    “He made ten Washbasins, five set on the right and five on the left,….”

    “He made ten gold Lampstands, following the specified pattern, and placed five on the right and five on the left.”

    “He made ten tables and set five on the right and five on the left.”

    Evenly: in equal numbers, amounts, or values
    Balanced: taking everything into account; fairly judged or presented

    There is no room in this time and hour for anything in our lives to be unbalanced or half-hearted. Everything we do for the work of the kingdom must have value and we must take everything into account; so, that everything is presented to the very best of our ability.

  8. 21 And the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, made he of gold, and that perfect gold;

    Gold Gold Gold and more Gold, through out building this temple Solomon keeps using Gold. Before Lucifer was kicked out of heaven he was the one who reflected the light of Gods glory so when ever I think of God I think of the Glory of God reflecting off of that material. God does everything for a reason so sometimes we have to ignore the riches of Gold and look at God’s glory and what the real message is!

  9. 16 the ash buckets, the shovels, the meat hooks, and all the related articles.
    Huram-abi made all these things of burnished bronze for the Temple of the Lord, just as King Solomon had directed.
    17 The king had them cast in clay molds in the Jordan Valley between Succoth and Zarethan.

    I wonder if Huram-abi knew what he was doing would be wrote down in the most powerful thing known to man. It makes me wonder if the builders for the pentecostals of fort worth had any idea what they were building for their city. God used regular people to make the stepping stone for the greatest revival known for this church. I believe that God has already blessed each of those individuals that were involved with the building of our church…His church…That tells me God can use anybody.

  10. All the furniture for the temple was made by Solomon except the ark of the covenant. That was brought from the tabernacle, The holiness of God cannot be replaced.

    A.L.M.A.S.

  11. Are we paying as much detail to what we put in our temple as Solomon did? Building the temple was not a rushed job. It took a great deal of time and attention to detail. He used only the best of quality materials. Don’t rush thru the time you take building your temple. Pay attention to detail in what you put in your temple so you can pour out your best for Jesus.

  12. 18 Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance: for the weight of the brass could not be found out.

    Solomon made sure every material that was used in the building of the temple was of the highest quality, no matter the cost or sacrifice. What are we willing to sacrifice so that we bring the best of the best of ourselves, time and offerings to the House of God?

  13. In the last three verses it mentions things being made of pure and perfect gold. I can only imagine how beautiful it must have been. Everything perfectly made with the finest materials and everything perfectly set in place.

    If we ourselves are temple for God, how do we compare? Have we prepared ourselves and set ourselves up, ready and prepared for God to move? Fill us up today Jesus as we prepare ourselves for you – use us for Your glory!

  14. Everything in the temple and the temple it’s self was built to exact measurements it was perfect this was a earthy building the temple of God. He would dwell here talk to his people but in the New Testament through Jesus made each one of us the temple of God 1 cor 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

    How are we building our lives our temples for God not caring or halfway doing it or is it a must? I must it it right.
    Every day we wake up we have another day to put a stone in place put Gods word in our heart. We must not forget God and why we are here

  15. 21. And the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, made he of gold, and that perfect gold;

    Perfect gold, or pure gold as we call it, has gone through fires so that the impurities could be skimmed off and removed.
    The purpose of the ‘fires’ in our lives is to expose the impurities so that they can be removed and we can come through shining and reflecting God’s glory.

  16. I see that all these ma akings and preparations for making is done with excellent craftmanship and beauty. That’s my God.

  17. Thank you Jesus Christ for today , praise God let’s take care of our temple hallelujah – mighty God he is able to deliver and restore if we allow him . Our father which art in heaven thy kingdom come thy will be done in everything we do

  18. 2 Chronicles 4:11 And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basons . And Huram finished the work that he was to make for King Solomon for the house of God;

    We must finish our work in building Gods temple for the Kingdom. Everything was to perfection, we must give our all.

    I Chronicles 28:20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed : for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.

  19. 4:22 the wick trimmers, sprinkling basins, landless and firepans — of purest gold.
    And the entry way to the temple of its inner doors
    To the most holy place and the doors of the temple sanctuary. — of gold.
    ———
    Wow!!!! The doors to the Holy place made of
    Nothing but gold!!!!
    ——-
    This is the day that the lord has made
    We will rejoice and be glad in it.
    No is the time, today is the day of salvation🙌🙌🙌🙌.
    Our sanctuaries these days are no t build of gold
    But I believe there are some , specially the doors of the sanctuary are of like they were made of gold.
    At least that the heart of God.
    The holy place
    Holy
    Set apart
    Build with a purpose
    With a vision
    With passion
    With LOVE
    WITH AN INTEREST ( for Gods kingdom)
    With a willing heart…
    Doesn’t God see these things valuable and important?
    Just like it was for king Solomon.?

  20. LIVE – GIVE JESUS2
    SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM

    1 Moreover he made an altar of brass, twenty cubits the length thereof, and twenty cubits the breadth thereof, and ten cubits the height thereof.

    The item identified in the Temple is the ALTAR. Maybe we have missed the mark in some areas of life, due to the placement of the ALTAR in our life. JESUS instructed us to SEEK FIRST THE KINGODM OF GOD and many people have interest in fulfilling this mission. I believe we receive some guidance here from King Solomon in his WISDOM. Place FIRST an ALTAR.

    We have learned that FIRST means most important, best or most effective. To bring it to real life application. When we SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM of GOD our first priority should be the ALTAR or place of sacrifice and therefore there must be A FIRE ON MY ALTAR THAT WILL NOT GO OUT.

    As we build these human temples for GOD let us remember the first item in the temple was the ALTAR and so should be in our lives.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iLive
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo
    iBlessYouInTheNameOfTheLordJESUS

  21. There is mention of a lot of gold in the building of the temole-on walls, floors, ceiling as well as items used in the temple. And I like what Pastor said about the use of so much gold-it signifies the value of the temple or of God in our lives. Where would be without him? Where would this city and nation be without him? We have a desperate need for God in this world now and we must work while it is still called day for the souls all around us to be saved.

  22. iLove the Kingdom2
    2Ch 4:4 The Sea was placed on a base of twelve bronze oxen, all facing outward. Three faced north, three faced west, three faced south, and three faced east, and the Sea rested on them.

    This is a pretty cool verse y’all. From the North, South, East, and West we speak revival. The OX in the Bible is the beast of burden. The ox also represents harvest. (Pro 14:4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox). These ox in this scripture are holding up the great weight of the sea. Sometimes in the Word the sea refers to people. (Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.)

    Put all this together and I believe we see Gods plan in building the temple. He uses symbols to represent what His purpose is. We (humans) must become the beasts of burden and go forth from the North, South, East, and West and reach into the sea of people and bring them into the house of the Lord.

  23. 2 Chronicles 4:11, “And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basons. And Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house of God;”

    “Huram Finished The Work”
    Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house of God.
    This made me think about all the people who started a work for King JESUS and for His Kingdom and quit and gave up. They didn’t finish the work.
    So I encourage you today, POFW, the work you have started for King JESUS and for His Kingdom, keep working till it is finished. Don’t Quit and Don’t Give Up. The work you are doing for King JESUS and His Kingdom is important.

    A second thought I had was this…
    Phil. 1:6 (NLT) says, “I am certain that God, who began a good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
    You see God has begun a good work in each and everyone of us, and His plan is to continue that work in us until it is finished.

    Thank You JESUS!!

  24. 19 And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;
    20 Moreover the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn after the manner before the oracle, of pure gold;

    The word of God is more valuable than any precious stone this earth might posses. We as the vessels of God, are the gold that this world desperately desires to have. We possess this valuable word of God. Let your candle light and shine everywhere you are. Fill your temple with the very best you got, for He is Worthy of it!

  25. Brass and Gold surrounded the Temple of God!!! I can only imagine how it looked and led when The Glory of the Lord came down in that temple!!!! It had to have reflect d everywhere. Have you ever seen someone work casting brass or gold the old fashion way?? I have and it’s not an easy work. Just preparing the cast is an art. If you are curious is done with sand and there is no margin for error. The bigger the pieces the harder it is. It only shows the amount of dedication and the time consuming efforts that took into building The House of God. This week as we consecrate to God, every day is a new experience, a new way to come close to God and put effort into our relationship with Him. 8 days is nothing compared to His 40 days in the desert to prepare Him for the ultimate sacrifice to give His live for the remission of our sins. For He did it for you and me. It takes time, sweat, and effort to build a temple, we are building our Temple in our heart fir the Holy Ghost to abide!!! Thank you Jesus for all we have learned on this 7 days, thank you Lord for coming to live in us through the Holy Ghost. Thank you Jesus for your Salvation for there is no other Name by which we are saved but by the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR!!!

  26. 2 Chronicles 2:6-7 [ amp] But who is able to build Him a house, since heaven , even highest heaven, cannot contain Him a house, except as a place to burn incense in worship before Him?
    7] Now therefore, send a man skilled to work in gold, silver, bronze, and iron, and in purple, crimson, blue colors, who is a trained engraver, to work with the skilled men who are with me in Judah and Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.
    Our skills and talent should be base on building our temple on prayer and worship.
    May the fire of my altar never go out.
    Burn in me and use me Lord .

  27. 19 And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;

    Once again we see Solomon working for the Lord. He was dedicated to finishing the task that God placed before him. Was he a perfect man, no. However, he was willing to do what it took to do God’s work. If we are to finish the Lord’s work, we must be willing to lay some things to the side. God still has a work to do, he just needs people who are willing to work.

  28. 2 Chronicles 4

    1 Moreover he made an altar of brass, twenty cubits the length thereof, and twenty cubits the breadth thereof, and ten cubits the height thereof.

    2 Also he made a molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and five cubits the height thereof; and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.

    3 And under it was the similitude of oxen, which did compass it round about: ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about. Two rows of oxen were cast, when it was cast.

    4 It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.

  29. Often the mention of gold in this chapter is to talk of value. I once saw a show about gold and what was done to take out the impurities. It was a lot of work and took time. What do we need to do to take out our impurities? Yes, it will take effort and time. But anything to get closer to Jesus is worth it!

    Thank you Jesus for this day and for my POFW family.

  30. 4 It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.

    We will take this city for God’s Kingdom

  31. 2 Chronicles 4:11,16,19
    [11]Huram-abi also made the necessary washbasins, shovels, and bowls.So at last Huram-abi completed everything King Solomon had assigned him to make for the Temple of God:
    [16]the ash buckets, the shovels, the meat hooks, and all the related articles.Huram-abi made all these things of burnished bronze for the Temple of the lord, just as King Solomon had directed.
    [19]Solomon also made all the furnishings for the Temple of God:the gold altar;the tables for the Bread of the Presence;

    Your body is a temple. The apostle Paul comes right out and says so. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (ESV), he asks, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” In spiritual terms, it often feels that we’re at war with our flesh. God created our physical bodies, therefore making it good and precious from the start. Therefore, we need to learn to appreciate and embrace that which is our flesh, while not participating in that which is of the carnal nature. What are we listening to?, what we watching?, what are we putting into our bodies which is the temple of God?

  32. 18 Thus Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance: for the weight of the brass could not be found out.
    19 And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;
    20 Moreover the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn after the manner before the oracle, of pure gold;
    21 And the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, made he of gold, and that perfect gold;
    22 And the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.

    It is not by our riches, but His riches…
    Many times we loose sight of what Jesus wants to do through us, because we see in our heads that the cost is too great for only one, but many times, he wants us to begin the work, that He might step in and take over where we are short that He might be glorified…

  33. 11 And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basons. And Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house of God;

    The thing that stuck out to me today was the outsourcing of work to ensure the temple had the best. I did a little study on Huram and he’s a king that had dealings with David and Solomon. The original relationship was with David. So again Solomon was able to build the temple with his fathers help through Huram.

    I also see the fact that we are the temple of God and we will sometimes have to use the expertise of others to establish what God is leading us to do. Others will have the expertise in areas that we don’t and that’s ok. Allow them to show us. We must always be humble and teachable. What God desire to do through us is bigger than us. Welcome the help of others.

  34. 5 And the thickness of it was an handbreadth, and the brim of it like the work of the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies; and it received and held three thousand baths.

    6 He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

    7 And he made ten candlesticks of gold according to their form, and set them in the temple, five on the right hand, and five on the left.

    8 He made also ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. And he made an hundred basons of gold.

    9 Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid the doors of them with brass.

    10 And he set the sea on the right side of the east end, over against the south.

    Psalm 118:5
    I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.

    The temple was built on such a large scale, to make sure there was plenty of room for the people to come from all around to come to the temple, because that is where they would worship God. It was a place of peace and rest for the soul. The Lord wants to put us in a large place with him. God wants to do things on a large scale in our lives today. We need to let God be Lord of all in our lives, so he can do what he wants to do. Thank you Jesus for who you are, and what you have done for us!!!!

  35. In this chapter I realized that they went above and beyond to make sure the temple was built correctly and secure. They had to put in real thought in order to make sure the temple was built the correct way. How is your temple built? What is your secure foundation? The answer is on Jesus. Jesus is out solid rock that we stand and trust on! We must realize that when we do things no to rely on what we are have but what He has done! So let’s make sure that we have our temples built upon the one and only solid rock…….JESUS!!!

  36. 19 Solomon also made all the furnishings for the Temple of God: the gold altar; the tables for the Bread of the Presence; 20 the lampstands and their lamps of solid gold, to burn in front of the Most Holy Place as prescribed;
    2 Chronicles 4:19-20 NLT

    Even though Solomon was not perfect he still dedicated everything he could to do the work of the Lord. Let us be dedicated just like Solomon was to the work, let us be able to put things aside in our life to do and complete things for the Lord. Yes, we will have trouble and we may get tempted but the Lord is with us all the way even if you don’t know it, he is there fighting your enemies for you to do the work of his. Let us be fully committed to the Lord always, show him that you are one of his trustable ones, obey and listen to him. The Lord sees and remembers all, later on you will be blessed in mighty ways.

  37. Everything made for the Temple of the Lord wasn’t only the finest but also had a purpose even the decorations of lilies for instance. Lilies represent purity/holiness, rebirth/resurrection and hope. It’s a type of Jesus, for He is called the Lilly of the valley.

    Also, the sea mentioned in vs.6 is being described here sits upon oxen. It held a massive amount of water. Not only was it beautifully adorned but it was intended for the priests to wash up after participating in offerings end sacrifices.

    Likewise, we should look at the house of God in this manner. We should be careful what we bring in, respectful of what is already there and use church property the way it was intended. If we look at ourselves as the Temple then we should use the same meticulous mindset.

    This

  38. “And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. And Huram finished the work that he was to make for king Solomon for the house of God;”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭4:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Remain consistent in your work for the lord and do it with your whole heart. When god gives us a work to do for his kingdom we must remain committed to that work. No matter how hard it may get or what may come our way we must always finish the work that the lord required us to do.

  39. 4 It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.

    To the north we cry out; To the south we will shout The enemy and his kingdom must come down To the east we profess; To the west we confess The enemy and his kingdom must come down

    YES HALELUJAH!!!

  40. 19 And Solomon made all the vessels that were for the house of God, the golden altar also, and the tables whereon the shewbread was set;

    This reminded me of the book of Jeremiah as the Lord had him go to the potter’s house. He asked him to watch as the potter made a vessel. God is making a work in us. We are his human vessels. You may see all the Gold that was put on the temple. Why gold becuase of its value. Likewise the potter makes of us vessels of gold through the molding if our faith. The process of making gold and its purification is long and arduous and is brought through the fire and in the fire is where the impurities are removed. Likewise he does with our faith with is more precious than gold. Can you imagine the type of things we have undergone and have to go through? And the purpose is that you be made perfect, lacking nothing. We are the vessels God has in his temple and he will make sure that he gets the best gold of faith from us.

  41. 16 The pots also, and the shovels, and the fleshhooks, and all their instruments, did Huram his father make to king Solomon for the house of the Lord of bright brass.

    17 In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredathah.

    Solomon put his work into the temple he made for God. But because he did this he was blessed even more. When we seek for God and we put are all to be closer with God, he sees it and loves you more and more.

  42. 9 Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid the doors of them with brass.
    10 And he set the sea on the right side of the east end, over against the south.

    Everyone has their place in the kingdom and apart of the body. Where do you fit in?? What is your part? What do you contribute??

    20 Moreover the candlesticks with their lamps, that they should burn after the manner before the oracle, of pure gold;
    21 And the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, made he of gold, and that perfect gold;
    22 And the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.

    More things made of pure gold, even the small insignificant things that we would not think mattered. He deserves our best. Let’s do just that and give our best!!

  43. “He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Things in the temple have different purposes. Some lavers were used only for the offerings. Some lavers were only used for the priests. These were separated because you do t want to get you hands dirty with the offering as it was something that had to die. Death and life are not in the same water in the temple. The priests used the water for cleaning and life. The offering water was for cleaning before death.

    It’s interesting to think of it now as we are in the new covenant. The water for death and life are the same when someone is baptized in Jesus name.

  44. “Solomon also made all the articles that were in the house of God: the golden altar, and the tables for the bread of the Presence (showbread), and the lampstands with their lamps of pure gold, to burn in front of the inner sanctuary (the Holy of Holies) as directed; the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs of gold, of purest gold; and the snuffers, the basins, the dishes [for incense], and the firepans, of pure gold; and for the entrance of the house (temple), the inner doors for the Holy of Holies and the doors of the Holy Place (main room), were of gold.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭4:19-22‬ ‭AMP‬‬

    Everything for the temple was in full detail. And had a purpose within the temple. Everything had its place. That is the same today God please attention to every detail of our lives and has given us purpose within his Kingdom. There is a place for you and his Kingdom

  45. 19 “Solomon was also responsible for the furniture and accessories in The Temple of God” MSG

    There are specific responsibilities for each of us to carry. There is a true value in the ability to be held responsible for something by God. It’s is more valuable than any secular task, any family matter, or personal responsibility. When we are responsible for things of His Kingdom, we are working eternally! And we find security in the ability to complete such responsibilities come from our relationship with Christ.

  46. 22the lamp snuffers, bowls, ladles, and incense burners—all of solid gold; the doors for the entrances to the Most Holy Place and the main room of the Temple, overlaid with gold.

    All covered with gold. Gold stands for value, power, and authority. Everyone likes gold. Only the best materials would be used. It has to show to everyone, the temple is a place of authority, worship and praise.

  47. And the thickness of it was an handbreadth, and the brim of it like the work of the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies; and it received and held three thousand baths.

    6 He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

  48. 22 And the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.

    All the essentials that were made for the house of God, were made by skilled craftsmen for the purpose and the use of the house of God only. They were sanctified utensils. This is what the word sanctify means; to set apart for the use of, do used for the sole purpose of.

    This is what we are called to do, to be sanctified. We are in this world but we are not of this world, we have been bought with a price and for the purpose; to be use of solely for God‘s kingdom. Just like the utensils have a specific purpose, we do also have a specific purpose for the kingdom of God. Thanks Jesus.
