  1. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

When we bless the Lord’s we are doing good things unto the Lord. In our worshiping of the Lord in a church service we are not fulfilling the requirement solely through attendance. We should not be passive participants in a church service. During corporate worship we are required to show active partcipation. Raising our hands shows the Lord that we surrender to his will and we are willing to receive from him. The Lord is mighty, which is clearly seen in creation, and we can not claim that our own abilities provide for us because all of our blessings came from the Lord.

  2. Psa 134 1-3 Come, bless God,
    all you servants of God!
You priests of God, posted to the nightwatch
    in God’s shrine,
Lift your praising hands to the Holy Place,
    and bless God.
In turn, may God of Zion bless you—
God who made heaven and earth!

All servants blessings the Lord. Lifting praises to Him .
No matter what position nor the time of our position we need to always be giving God praise .
The night watch could have considered their position not as important yet it truly was and praise was still

Matthew Henry’ commentary says it like this :

. In the first two verses, the priests or Levites who sat up all night to keep the watch of the house of the Lord are called upon to spend their time while they were upon the guard, not in idle talk, but in the acts of devotion.

II. In the last verse those who were thus called upon to praise God pray for him that gave them the exhortation, either the high priest or the captain of the guard. Or thus: those who did that service did mutually exhort one another and pray for one another.

  3. “Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭134:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Hallelujah!!!!

In order for you to bless the LORD, it will take action on your behalf. So get up and bless, get up and praise, get up and worship, get up and shout!!!!

Thankful for the blood that was shed on Calvary for a sinner like me! The LORD JESUS has given me access to His presence so that I may be able to worship Him!!
All praise, glory, and honor due unto Him.

  4. Psalm 134

1 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.

2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

3 The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

  5. Psalms 134:2, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.”

When we come to church, lift up our hands to God, and bless, praise, and worship Him, it is an expression or act of showing Him how much we love Him, how thankful we are to Him, and how much we appreciate Him.
We lift Him up; we exalt Him; we glorify Him; we magnify Him, because He is worthy of all praise.
He is Worthy of all Glory, Honor, and Praise!!

JESUS, “I will bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.” (PS. 63:4)

  6. Verse 1 MSG “Come, bless God, all you servants of God! You priests of God, posted to the nightwatch in God’s shrine,”. This is an open invitation “Come..”, for all servants of God! The VOICE version of the same verse says “Praise the Eternal, all you who serve Him—who stand ready to serve in the house of the Eternal through the night.” Day and Night…..Night and Day, we should always be ready to serve. Always digging for more of His word, cleansing our hearts daily in repentance and focusing our minds on the work at hand. There is Room In the House of God for Everybody!

  7. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

A congregational proclamation for those in the sanctuary to lift their hands and bless the Lord Almighty. A statement made for unity and for praise as they surrender their self will to God. There will always be something powerful in the move of God when his servants lift him up in unity.

  8. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

Oh how I miss being in the sanctuary!!!! I am in His presence daily; during mg my prayer time, watching service, or while reading His word; but there is something about being in the sanctuary with my brothers and sisters that can not be compared. There is something different when Jesus Presence is at the sanctuary and your surrounded by your brothers and sisters praying and worshiping. I don’t know if is the fellowship of faith, or comradery but it’s totally different from going through it at home. There is such an overwhelming feeling of unity and love. I miss that so much!! I wait anxiously for the Drs to release me so I can go back to church. Oh what a day that will be!!! I thank Jesus everyday because of internet and technology I am able to still participate in church but it is no substitute for the real thing!!! Love POFW!!!

  9. 1 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.

2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

3 The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

This was a call to the levites that took care of the temple and the things in the temple. They were appointed and the most important job to secure the Holy temple of God. Some of the Levites did stand in the temple during the night to protect the sacred items of the temple for God. As an example for the modern day church, many have lost reverence for the things of God. It is our duty to make sure we protect the house of God as much as possible. We have to keep the house holy with prayer and ready to receive souls that need God. It’s like an operating room that has to maintain a sterile environment, if any germ or bacteria get in to the room while operating then the likelihood of the patient getting an infection is great which may cause the patient more sickness or even death. Well our sanctuary is the same if a spirit or even sun gets in then the possibility of the soul being infected is great. It’s our job to protect these souls and keep the environment free of contamination.

The church is the greatest refuge of peace and love, but the people have to maintain their spirits to protect the spirit and the word of God. It’s time for the church to have unprecedented revival and harvest. The goal is to save as many that will come. It’s time to make a push for the souls of our city. Live Jesus to give jesus2.

  20. 1 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by nightstand in the house of the Lord.

2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

After the usual daily schedule of activities at the temple in Jerusalem, the people return to their homes, but there were priests and Levites who stood watch during the night.( 1 Chronicle 9:33), burnin incense, giving thanks and praise in the Lord (2 Chronicle 29:11;31:2). It may be that as the people withdrew they sing the first two verses of this song to the priests the midnight temple crew.

  21. Psalm 134
1 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.

  23. MSG – 134 1-3 Come, bless God,
    all you servants of God!
You priests of God, posted to the nightwatch
    in God’s shrine,
Lift your praising hands to the Holy Place,
    and bless God.
In turn, may God of Zion bless you

    Revelation 4:11
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Praise is our duty – we were created to praise. Praise to our Lord should be in our mouth at all times. How many times during the day do you utter a praise to the Lord randomly? When we have the mind of Christ and we walk in the Spirit, praise conversations with the Lord should be the norm for us.

  24. “Raise your hands in prayer in the Temple, and praise the Lord! May the Lord, who made heaven and earth, bless you from Zion!”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭134:2-3‬ ‭GNT‬‬

God desires the praises of his people. every time we come into his house we should come with a praise. No matter what we may be going through we should always praise him. He is the king of kings the lord of lords. He reigns over all the earth. When the praises go up blessings come down! We shouldn’t allow our praise to just be in the house of god. We ought to praise him wherever we go. In all that we do we must give him thanks. Don’t ever loose your praise.

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭100:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
    ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  25. 1 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.

2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

3 The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

All glory and honor, majesty and praise be to the God which created the heavens and the earth, that gives me life and daily fill me with benefits. Blessed be the name of Jesus. Let us offer unto Him the sacrifice of praise which is the fruit of our lips giving thanks unto His name. Thank you Lord Jesus. There is no one like the Lord. None like Jesus.

  26. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
One thing I haven’t yet figured out is why some bibles have an introduction to the chapters and some don’t. For example, Verse #1 in my bible starts off like this, “Psa 134:1 A Song of degrees. Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD.

Notice it says “a Song of degrees”. Well with that being said, the Strong’s Concordance defines “degrees” as the following:

degree# 4609 Feminine of H4608; elevation, that is, the act (literally a journey to a higher place, figuratively a thought arising), or (concretely) the condition (literally a step or grade mark, figuratively a superiority of station); specifically a climactic progression (in certain Psalms): – things that come up, (high) degree, deal, go up, stair, step, story.

This gives us great insight into this Psalm because it is letting us know it is uplifting and leading us to a “higher place”. This is completely consistent with the Psalm as it shows us the raising of the hands bless the Lord. Let’s go to the next level and when we lift up the Lord, He will lift us up out of the miry clay.

  27. Psalm 134 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all his servants of the Lord, which my night stand in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

    2. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

1 Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting (disputes).

Bless His Holy Name! He is worthy to be praised! Lift your hands and bless His Holy Name!

  28. “Behold, bless he the Lord, all his servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.” Psalm 134

When I praise our Lord Jesus, I automatically lift my hands up. I love giving our God praise. The first thing when I wake up, I thank Jesus for this day. When we worship our Lord often, I feel closer to Jesus and so very blessed to have such a loving God. I see the love our church has for Jesus and I thank Pastor and sis Watts for helping all of us to be closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  29. “Behold, bless and praise the LORD, all servants of the LORD (priests, Levites), Who stand and serve by night in the house of the LORD.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭134:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Keep on blessing the Lord. Keep on praising the Lord. Keep on standing for and on the Lord. And most important keep on serving the Lord! I thank God for the opportunities in which I get to serve Him. I pray we fulfill all of these opportunities with great fil and joyous hearts!

  30. 1 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.
2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.
3 The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

Everyday and every night!!! No Religion here, it’s relationship and TRUTH!!!

  31. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

We lift our hands in the sanctuary.
We lift our hands to give You the glory.
We lift our hands to give You the praise,
    And we will praise You for the rest of our days;
Yes, we will praise You for the rest of our days.

Jesus, we give You the praise.
Emmanuel, we lift up Your name,
    Heavenly Father, coming Messiah;
And we will praise You for the rest of our days,
Yes, will praise You for the rest of our days,

    Yes,
Yes, Lord for the rest of our days.

    Hallelujah, hallelujah,
Hallelujah for the rest of our days.

And we will praise You for the rest of our days.

  32. 1 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.

    10,000 reasons-Matt Redman
“Bless the Lord oh my soul
    Oh my soul
    Worship His Holy name
    Sing like never before
    Oh my soul
    I’ll worship Your Holy name”

  33. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

To lift our hands in worship is a form of surrender. It is one of the best ways to worship and reverence God because it means we are giving our all to Him.

  34. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.
God’s people should give Him their thanks, honor, praise, and glory.

  35. 3May the LORD, who made heaven and earth,
    bless you from Jerusalem.a

The righteous will be blessed. God will look over you, provide, and protect you.

  36. 1 Oh, praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, you who serve at night in the house of the Lord.

3 May the Lord, who made heaven and earth, bless you from Jerusalem.
    Psalms 134:1 & 3 NLT

As we turn our lives unto the Lord, let us not forget all that he has done for us, all that he has blessed us with, and all that he has fought for us. The Lord is your strength and your comfort, let us give ourselves as a sacrifice unto the Lord, show him that you are willing and able to do all for him that you will be faithful unto him. The Lord deserves all of our praises, all of our time, and all of our thanks. ‘Cause even in the midst of our hardest time when we have little faith he is there with us shining his light, giving us strength and comfort holding onto us and fighting for us.

  37. In this chapter it was stating to bless the Lord. We still bless the Lord at all times for He deserves it! When we are going thigh our ups and downs he deserves our praise at all times especially when we don’t feel like it! He is worthy of our all and more!!!

  38. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

When we lift our hands, this is a sign of surrender. It’s time for us to stop trying to do things our way and start doing things God’s way. Our way causes us to keep making mistakes. If we focus on God he will give us clear direction. Let’s keep our hands lifted and follow Jesus.

  39. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

We should never take for granted the ability to be able to come to the house of God and worship with his children because one day won’t be to, but the other we should never enter his house with half hearted praise but instead we should give our all to him because he gave his all for us.

  40. 1 “…praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord…”

I can remember in school, specifically in english class we had to break apart a sentence learn how to process the context clues.

So if we break down the sentence looking for the 5W’s.
We can find the Who: all you and the What: praise the Lord.

So simply put, none of us are except from praising Jesus. We are all privileged to praise Jesus.

Another part of context clues, is you would have to keep reading to find the remaining 5Ws.

In Ps 34:1 it tells us When: “all times”
In Ps 103:1 tells us Where: “within me”

And there are many scriptures telling us HOW to Praise the Lord!

  41. 3 The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

“He’s good, so good, real good
Each and every day of my life
I’ll bless the Lord for He’s good”

  42. We are the bless the Lord and all times in all places and with all our means. Unashamedly we can come to God because of His great mercy we learned yesterday and today we learn what our actions should be; “bless the Lord”. Bless in in the sanctuary and we are the temple or sanctuary of God so our lives should reflect that and bless Him.

  43. 1 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.

Even in our darkest times and trials, we shall stand and bless Jesus, for He is good, and His mercy endureth forever!!

  44. “Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.”
    Psalms 134:1-3 KJV

Even when we are going through hardship and everything seem lost. I will bless the Lord at all times because my God is greater than all my problems, and there is nothing He can’t do. Jesus is able to do all things. I will love the Lord with all my heart, soul, and strength. I will diligently obey the commands of the Lord and do what is right in the sight of the Lord.

  45. In this chapter I think that it was stating that we have to praise the Lord. He is worthy of our all and more! We should definitely praise him more even when we don’t feel like it! Sometimes you just have to randomly say JESUS cause it is so powerful! Saying his name gives us comfort and makes me feel safe! His praise shall forever be upon my lips! We must share his word and make sure everyone knows to call upon Jesus all the time! It really just amazes me how his name is so wonderful to me!!! His grace and mercy shall forever be in my heart! Let’s just make sure that we keep Jesus in our daily routine! Don’t forget he loves to hear you voice, so don’t be afraid to talk to him!

  46. Which stand by night…

If you think back to the beginning of the Bible it says and the evening and the morning were the first day. If we are standing in the house of the lord then you have the steady guiding light through the darkness. God makes a way and there manez it evident

  47. 1 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.
2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.
3 The Lord that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

Short and sweet, if you claim to serve the Lord in any capacity lift you hands in his sanctuary and praise him!! When we lift up his raises on any given service and you lift your hands you are proclaiming to be his servant. And to go as far to say standing in a night service would make sense as well.

  48. 1 Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord.

How are we not to bless the Lord. He has done marvelous things for us, the fact that we are here alive is a blessing. Yes Lord I will bless you! You’re worthy!

  49. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord

It blesses the lord to see his children living in victory. Just like us that gave children, there is a specialist blessing that we get when our children succeed. Gods will is got us to succeed and be victorious!

  50. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

I will forever praise you Lord! No one has loved me hope you loved me, you created me, formed me, saved me, and for that I’m blessed!!!!
