1 Kings 9

And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the Lord, and the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,

That the Lord appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.

And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus unto this land, and to this house?

And they shall answer, Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the Lordbrought upon them all this evil.

10 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the Lord, and the king’s house,

11 (Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

12 And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not.

13 And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.

14 And Hiram sent to the king sixscore talents of gold.

15 And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the Lord, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.

16 For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for a present unto his daughter, Solomon’s wife.

17 And Solomon built Gezer, and Bethhoron the nether,

18 And Baalath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land,

19 And all the cities of store that Solomon had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

20 And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel,

21 Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day.

22 But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen: but they were men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots, and his horsemen.

23 These were the chief of the officers that were over Solomon’s work, five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the work.

24 But Pharaoh’s daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo.

25 And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the Lord, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the Lord. So he finished the house.

26 And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Eziongeber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom.

27 And Hiram sent in the navy his servants, shipmen that had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.

28 And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.

God’s answer to Solomon’s prayer was that He would accept the temple at His house and would put his name there forever. Although Solomon’s temple has since ceased to exist, God Will, you dwell in a temple in Jerusalem when The Lord Jesus return to set up his worldwide kingdom. In the meantime, God dwells in the temple of the beautiful body of the church.

Our relationship with JESUS here seems conditional. And to me it also reminds me of the America we are currently living in. I can never take for granted my relationship with GOD. In any relationship, it requires some type of sacrifice. But here my relationship with GOD requires reverence, obedience, commitment, worship, praise, giving, serving, and sacrifice in your time, talents, and treasures. A man/woman’s actions will always speak louder than their words. Allow your word in whom you say you are a ‘ Christian’ take action, everyday!

““Tell me,” Samuel said. “Does the Lord really want sacrifices and offerings? No! He doesn’t want your sacrifices. He wants you to obey him.”
    ‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭15:22‬ ‭CEV‬‬

“Obey God’s message! Don’t fool yourselves by just listening to it.”
    ‭‭James‬ ‭1:22‬ ‭CEV

  3. Verses 3-5 MSG “And God said to him, “I’ve listened to and received all your prayers, your ever-so-passionate prayers. I’ve sanctified this Temple that you have built: My Name is stamped on it forever; my eyes are on it and my heart in it always. As for you, if you live in my presence as your father David lived, pure in heart and action, living the life I’ve set out for you, attentively obedient to my guidance and judgments, then I’ll back your kingly rule over Israel, make it a sure thing on a solid foundation. The same guarantee I gave David your father I’m giving you: ‘You can count on always having a descendant on Israel’s throne.’ The beginning of this chapter is captioned in the AMP “God’s Promise and Warning”. Verse 6 begins the warning; “But if you…”…..we all have a choice as did Solomon. You have to choose to do what you do!

Verse 25 MSG “Three times a year Solomon worshiped at the Altar of God, sacrificing Whole-Burnt-Offerings and Peace-Offerings, and burning incense in the presence of God. Everything that had to do with The Temple he did generously and well; he didn’t skimp.” Verse 4 ERV says “You must serve me with a pure and honest heart…”; but, not only that….we should serve Him with everything we got!

  4. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

There’s great promise and reward for those who submit and follow the Will of God and the Word of God.

  5. 1 Kings 9

1 And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the Lord, and the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,

2 That the Lord appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.

3 And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

  6. “As for you, if you walk (live your life) before Me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, acting in accordance with everything that I have commanded you, and will keep My statutes and My precepts, then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, just as I promised your father David, saying, ‘You shall not be without a man (descendant) on the throne of Israel.’”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭9:4-5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

If we continue to stay in the will of god we will reap the benefits. All we have to do is submit unto him. There may be trials and tribulations but we must always remember to stay in his will. It may not be easy but we are capable of doing it. This is why it is important for us to hide the word in our hearts because the word of god will be our peace and comfort and be a guidance to keeping us in his will. It is also important that we become prayer warriors so that we are able to fight off anything that the enemy may throw at us to try and knock us out of his will. Never loose sight but always remember to stay in his will!

  7. 4. And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

    5. Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

    6. But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

    7. Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

To keep receiving what God has spoken over your life, you have to hold up your end of the agreement and keep following Him and His commandments.

  8. 1 Kings 9 : 3-4 [ amp] The Lord told him, I have heard your prayer and supplication which you have made before Me; I have hallowed this house which you build, and I have put My Name [ and My Presence] there forever. My eyes and My heart shall be there perpetually.
[4] And if you will walk before Me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you, keeping My statutes and My precepts.
If we incline our hearts and minds to Jesus and walk in all his ways and keep his statutes.
Obey and be obeinant to his will and his word.
Building and serving our lives with Jesus is what pleases him.
Than God promise and reward will come!
    Hallelujah praise God.

  9. God has greatly provided for us and he expects us to heed to our provisions and return the greatness and goodness. Live Jesus GiveJesus 2, god provides and we share!

  10. 6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

This was the judgment of Israel and Solomon if they had turned away from the commandments of God and they basically would be as stated a byword. A taunt among those that were in the land that knew the greatness of Israel. Basically God told Solomon you would simply become a memory if they turned away from following him.

Many Christians simply turn away not knowing that God has not officially left them, but they refuse to turn back to God because of the things in this world have caught them. I find that many will gamble with eternity to simply have pleasure for a season. That sin just doesn’t go for a season, because that one sin becomes another sin, then another bigger sin and then they are no where near God. It makes it so hard for them to come back to God and they become a simple memory. We have a great opportunity to reach the prodigals and the lost of the world in this time of harvest God is getting ready to pour out his spirit once again and we must be ready.

  11. 1 And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the Lord, and the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,
2 That the Lord appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.
3 And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

It seems like a principal that is so basic yet evades so many people constantly. When you put God first and you place your desires on your altar God will take care of everything you have. When you put him in his kingdom first God will place your things as priority. When you follow God, he will take care of your needs. It’s in psalms, it’s in Proverbs and it’s all over the New testament, putting the things of God before yourself.

  12. 9:8 and at this house which is high
Everyone that passeth by it shall be astonished
And shall hiss and they shall say:
Why hath the Lord done this and unto this house?
    —-
A house, a place where finally God will have a place to dwell….( OT)
Ok, Alejandra; “ don’t you know that you are the temple of the Holy Ghost?”(NT)

    Same with this house.
    Keep it clean
    Protected it
See it with dignity and respect
    Keep it Holy
Don’t bring dirty stuff into it
    Don’t dishonor it
That His Spirit May be present forever
    Alive and on fire.
…. And mine eyes and mine heart shall be
    There perpetually.
    Hallelujah 🙌
Blessed be the name of the Lord!!!
    Good is god.
🙏 fort Isrrael, for his church, for his temple.
    Hallelujah 🙌😊.

  13. 6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

When the Lord speaks his will and promises, we can be assured that those things He says will come to pass. If someone turns against the Lord their fate will be sealed because the Lord is the same today as He was yesterday.

  14. 6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

8 And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus unto this land, and to this house?

9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the Lordbrought upon them all this evil.

This right here explains today; we have put other things above God and now we are paying for it. The moment other things or events start taking priority over our time with God, those things become gods in our lives. This country that was founded by the word of God and established under His word have forgotten about Jesus. They don’t want to be bothered with God. They just want to continue doing what is convenient and popular. Every day there is news about a child killing their parent or a parent killing their child and people just don’t see that the time of Jesus return is getting closer. I pray to God so He allow us to share His word with the world 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

  15. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

Not once did GOD mention David’s mistakes or sins!
My GOD IS FAITHFUL!!! We know that there were consequences to his actions but Once it is forgiven , IT’S FORGIVEN!!!

  16. Thank you Jesus Christ for today , allow him to move you to his will by listening to his voice . Pray then believe while obeying hallelujah

“As for you, if you will follow me with integrity and godliness, as David your father did, obeying all my commands, decrees, and regulations, then I will establish the throne of your dynasty over Israel forever. For I made this promise to your father, David: ‘One of your descendants will always sit on the throne of Israel.’

  19. I kings 9:4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and will keep my statutes and my judgments:

Being faithful and obedient is the key.

Psalm 15:2 He that walketh uprightly and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Proverbs 28:18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

    Blessings on the faithful men!

  20. 3 And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

What it all boils down to is…. COMMITMENT! Commitment is a hard character trait to acquire… You either have it or you don’t. God promised if we would be faithful to His call He will be faithful to us! Help me, Lord to be more committed during this time of chaos and confusion.

  21. I Kings 9. Message
25 “Three times a year Solomon worshiped at the Altar of God, sacrificing Whole-Burnt-Offerings and Peace-Offerings, and burning incense in the presence of God.
Everything that had to do with The Temple he did generously and well; he didn’t skimp.”

At the Altar of God burning incense in the presence of God. Praises of thanksgiving, prayers going up. Solomon went three times a year. How privileged we are to now be in the presence of God daily . Solomon gave of himself generously ., We must truly be ready to give ourselves generously to the work of the Lord .
We cannot skimp on anything we do for the Kingdom of God. Prayer seeking the daily path we walk . We have to truly be sensitive to our surroundings daily lest we miss the opportunity God has placed in front of us to build up the temple of God …..Revival is all around us we must seize every opportunity .
Building up the Kingdom for the Lord!

Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, verily, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.

  22. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

The fate of Israel rested in the hands of Solomons a d those that followed after him.

We are responsible for the legacy we leave as a church. What is West Fort Worth going to remember POFW for? Should God tarry will He find an Apostolic church when age returns? The precedence we set now in our services determines those answers. The world needs Apostolic revival. We are responsible to give them Apostolic Revival.

  23. 3 And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

We are the temple of the Holy Ghost and we must keep God‘s Commandments in order for God to guide us in our lives. We are the light of this dark world

  24. 1 And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the Lord, and the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,

When we purpose in our minds to live a holy and righteous life, to put the things of God first, to serve in His Kingdom, He takes notice.

When we make the things important to Him, important to us, He in return does the same!

  25. So Solomon finished building the Temple of the Lord, as well as the royal palace. He completed everything he had planned to do. Then the Lord appeared to Solomon a second time, as he had done before at Gibeon. The Lord said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your petition. I have set this Temple apart to be holy—this place you have built where my name will be honored forever. I will always watch over it, for it is dear to my heart. “As for you, if you will follow me with integrity and godliness, as David your father did, obeying all my commands, decrees, and regulations, then I will establish the throne of your dynasty over Israel forever. For I made this promise to your father, David: ‘One of your descendants will always sit on the throne of Israel.’”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭9:1-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬
If Solomon walked before God in obedience and faithfulness, he could expect blessing on his reign and the reign of his descendants, and the dynasty of David would endure forever. POFW Let’s walk in obedience and faithfulness, and see what God will do in the Kingdom.
    Time for Revival .
    Let’s Live Jesus.

  26. 1 Kings 9:4-7
    4) And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgment:
    5) Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
    6) But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which i have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
    7) Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

These verses made me think about what Bro. Aaron Adams preached on Wednesday night, “Abide in the Vine.”
JESUS is the Vine, and we are the branches.
All God wanted king Solomon to do was Abide in Him, stay connected to Him. He wanted king Solomon to live in integrity of heart and uprightly. He wanted him to obey all his commands and to keep his statutes (laws) and his judgment. When He did, God promised him that he would be “fruitful.” He would establish the throne of his kingdom upon Israel forever and there would not fail a man to sit upon the throne of Israel.
BUT if he or his children turned away or “disconnected” themselves from following Him, disobey His commandments or statutes, and go and serve other gods and worship them, then He would “Cut them off” out of the land, and the house he build for the Lord would be “Cast Out” of His sight.

Same holds true for us today. If we will “Abide in Him” and stay connected to Him, have integrity of heart and live uprightly, obey His commands and word, then we will be “fruitful” in Him. He will keep His promises to us and bless us.
BUT if we “disconnect” ourselves from Him, disobey His commands and word, go and serve other gods and worship them – go do our own thing, put other things first in our lives before God, then He will “take away – Cut us off” and “Cast us out” of His sight.

So, Abide in the Vine. Abide in JESUS.
LIVE JESUS – GIVE JESUS 2 (squared).

  27. 1 Kings 9:6-7,9,28
[6]“But if you or your descendants abandon me and disobey the commands and decrees I have given you, and if you serve and worship other gods,
[7]then I will uproot Israel from this land that I have given them. I will reject this Temple that I have made holy to honor my name. I will make Israel an object of mockery and ridicule among the nations.
[9]“And the answer will be, ‘Because his people abandoned the lord their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and they worshiped other gods instead and bowed down to them. That is why the lord has brought all these disasters on them.’”
[28]They sailed to Ophir and brought back to Solomon some sixteen tons of gold.

    There is only one God

    Thank you Jesus

  28. 1 “And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the Lord…” KJV

We are each creative and talented in our own ways, and have the ability to start something fresh and new. But do we have the foundation, stability, and determination to see it to completion. Living for Jesus offers multiple opportunities to be used by Him, however if you have a history of not completing what you start, do you think you’ll be trusted with the valuable tasks?

When’s the last time you finished what you started? Maybe your dinner plate, or an art project?
What about in the Kingdom of God?

We should follow after Solomon’s wise choice and finish what we started.
Live and Give Jesus to completion!

  29. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

There are 2 ways put before Solomon and there are 2 ways put before each of us today: Life or Death. We can choose who we will serve-Ourselves or His Kingdom. We have chosen the way to life everlasting by serving the kingdom of God. And like David, we can sin…but God’s mercy and grace can restore us through heart felt repentance. Solomon could have turned once again and served God alone just as we can turn around and continue to serve Him. I’m thankful to serve God who gives us another chance!

  30. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

  31. 9“And the answer will be, ‘Because his people abandoned the LORD their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and they worshiped other gods instead and bowed down to them. That is why the LORD has brought all these disasters on them.’”

Follow and obey God, you can expect great things, blessings in all forms. If not, troubles will come. Give thanks, for you have good health, good finances, good children, food on the table, give God the glory!

  32. “And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel. But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭9:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Thank you Jesus for the bluntness! God doesn’t leave us guessing what we should do and He is not the author of confusion. In other words – God doesn’t flirt. He makes His intentions known and Samuel is a great example of this. God tells Samuel straight up, follow me and I will care for Israel; Follow other gods and I will cut Israel out.

Yes, we all have our own convictions, however, there are standards in place in which we either follow The Word or follow the world. I pray we follow The Word

  33. 1 Kings 9 God had asked Solomon to walk in the ways that king David, his father did. He was asked to keep his judgments so God would establish the Kingdom of Israel for ever. Solomon had a choice as we do today. We can stay in the carnal world or choose our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. We must stay strong and follow our Lord Jesus for eternal happiness. Thank you Jesus Christ for this day!

  34. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

We must walk and serve and worship the Lord.
Become as christ then he will be with us.

  35. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

This is a conditional promise of God. It would have been so cool to see the Kingdom of David still reigning as it were in these days of Solomon. Can you imagine for thousands of years this kingdom would have endured the test of time. But the sad thing is this conditional kingdom of Solomon only lasted until his son took over. Then it was torn in half. Jesus Kingdom however is still going strong! Praise the Lord!

  36. 3 The Lord said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your petition. I have set this Temple apart to be holy— this place you have built where my name will be honored forever. I will always watch over it, for it is dear to my heart.
    1 Kings 9:3

The Lord is always watching over us, he hears all of our cry outs and all of our prayers. There is not a time where the Lord is Noh working on making us stronger. Let us build a Temple unto the Lord, let us give ourselves as a sacrifice unto the Lord show him that you have complete faith in him, show him that you have turned your life towards him. The Lord works on us daily, we go through many trials for God to help us grow. Thank you Lord for building and growing us more and more into a stronger person and shining you light on us I give you all the thanks!

  38. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

    Repentance.
We read the story of David and have knowledge that David indeed sinned. He lusted, he committed adultery, he murdered.. he sinned. Yet of none of this things does the Lord remember him by. That is exactly what repentance those. When you truly leave the life of sin you are a new person. He forgives you and does not remember your sin anymore. Wow, what a wonderful and merciful God we serve. All one has to do is turn from sin. Repent and be set free. Sin no more and live for God.

  39. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

Our walk with Jesus must be of obedience, integrity and righteousness. If we do this God will establish his blessings and promises upon us. As we live our life in obedience we must also teach our children to do so! So they too can receive the promises that God has over them and their generations to come.

  40. 3 And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

God still answers prayers. When we pray, we communicate with God. This communication helps us to build a strong relationship with God. Prayer is our strength and helps push us forward. Never let prayer die in your life. A strong prayer life is a healthy prayer life.

  41. 2 That the Lord appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.

3 And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

Wow what great responsibility! A whole nation of people was riding on him and his children keeping the command of God. Wow! This puts in perspective that we having many lives riding on us well.

This region and world is counting on us to war in prayer. They are counting on us to be faithful and lead them to Jesus.

  42. 9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the Lordbrought upon them all this evil.

It is this fundamental understanding that we negate when we try and blame everything and God on our misfortunes and bad situations. That it was us that forsook God not the other way around.

God never has, will or ever forsake his children. Those that are called according to His purpose. When we start to recognize this, and turn back to God with. Repented and contrite heart that we will be resorted.

    It was you not him

  43. 3 And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

The Lord heard his prayers! The Lord hears us! If He doesn’t respond to our prayers doesn’t mean the miracle won’t happen! We just have to trust the process! In school we don’t just go from KG to 12th grade in one year but we go through a process. We might be taught the same things throughout the years but more and more in depth each year. Our maturity is developed! Just like our journey with God, we can’t be baptized one day and expect to be a preacher the next. There is a process that we have to build! We have to fill our mind our heart with faith, knowledge, wisdom, strength, love, prayer, fasting, etc. Every day we have the opportunity to grow! So just trust the process! Trust God, He hears our prayers!!

  44. 10 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the Lord, and the king’s house,

If this house takes me 20 years,… that won’t be good…

  45. 1 kings 9

5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not
keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

Jesus is talking to Solomon and saying in the fourth verse 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee

What has Jesus said in the New Testament John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Jesus is not impressed with your work if it is not done in the right spirit. It is not I must or we must have to visit the sick or care for the widows and the orphans. or go out on out reaches on Saturday or have intersession on Tuesday and Saturday. or Three services a week and be apart of the blog to come together as corporate body . It is because we love Jesus and we get to. King Solomon ordered the temple to be built because He was a king but he Loved God and loved his father who was given the plans and drawings from God. He did it for the right reason. He Loved!

    The old testament

Exodus 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. God is talking about His ten commandments.

If you love Jesus of the Old testament; will we also love Him in the New Testament?

  46. And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

I believe this is what God desires for us as well. For our homes to be a sanctuary and our relationships in the home to be a place where He can dwell as well.

  47. 24 But Pharaoh’s daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo.

Make your home the Lords House. We need to make our homes homes of worship and praise to Jesus. We can’t just worship God at church, we can’t just pray at church we have to keep on living for God outside those 4 walls.

  48. And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

The Lord heard there it prayer and their begging. Then he honored the house as being made which was built for him.

This year we had a similar type thing happen with our late night prayer. We had tongues and interpretations to go forth that said almost this exact thing.

Praise God that he never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

  49. 5 And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the Lord, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the Lord. So he finished the house.

Sometimes I baffles me that they sacrificed, what seems to be so little to me. In some scriptures you read where they would sacrifice once a year, and then here it states Solomon sacrificed three times a year. I guess it’s good that Solomon did more than once a year. However, I just always feel that since this was the equivalent of repenting and getting baptized, then why would you not do this more often. But I can’t answer it. Maybe, there is a Reason, just not prevalently known.

  50. “The Lord appeared to him a second time. He had already appeared to him at Gibeon. The Lord said to him, “I have heard you pray to me. I have heard you ask me to show you my favor. You have built this temple. I have set it apart for myself. My Name will be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭9:2-3‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

First the promise then follows the conditions.

“”But you must walk with me, just as your father David did. Your heart must be honest. It must be without blame. Do everything I command you to do. Obey my rules and laws. Then I will set up your royal throne over Israel forever. I promised your father David I would do that. I said to him, ‘You will always have a man on the throne of Israel.’”
    ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭9:4-5‬ ‭NIRV‬‬
