2 Chronicles 8

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the Lord, and his own house,

That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.

And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.

And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.

Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;

And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.

As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,

But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.

But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.

10 And these were the chief of king Solomon’s officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.

11 And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the Lord hath come.

12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,

13 Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

14 And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

15 And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.

16 Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, and until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was perfected.

17 Then went Solomon to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.

18 And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.

    Hallelujah 🙌🙌

What we offer unto the LORD GOD today will be an offering of sacrifice. When we don’t understand the trials, the pain that comes with it. A wound that runs deep that no man can deal with. It’s in your deepest moments of life where one cries out HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH, JESUS!!!! It’s in your praise that your worship unto the KING of GLORY will be a sweet savour unto The LORD JESUS ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

“It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the Lord.”
    ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭28:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭4:23-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  3. Putting yourself before the Lord in prayer and worship, praise and thankfulness is what God wants. He deserves you time in prayer and communication with him!

  4. 7 As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,

8 But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.

10 And these were the chief of king Solomon’s officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.

King Solomon would not allow his wife the daughter of Pharaoh, to live in the royal palace, saying that it was holy because the art of the Lord had entered there. This does not mean that the ark had actually been taken inside the place but rather that the palace was holy because of the Proximity to the ark in the temple. Unfortunately, the fact that Solomon restricted her to special residence did not restrict her from leading him off into idolatry.

    1 Kings 11:2,4,6,9,10,11
2 “Of the nations concerning which the Lord said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.”
4 “For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father.”
6 “And Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord, and went not fully after the Lord, as did David his father.”
9 “And the Lord was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the Lord God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,”
10 “And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the Lord commanded.”
11 “Wherefore the Lord said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.”

  5. 2 That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.
3 And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.

After years of being in the wilderness and serving the Egyptians before that, after walking around Jericho and fighting all those other nations Israel finally has peace when they have built the temple of God. The leadership that Solomon had at the time was remarkable and they understood that the people before them had fought for the peace that they had now. if it’s one thing I personally believe our nation needs is to remember the people that have blazed the trail before we got here. The ones who died to fight for our freedom. The ones that have forgotten that tend to take what they have for granted

  6. 2 Chronicles 8:1 & 4-6
    1) AND it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house.

    4) And he built Tad’mor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.
    5) Also he built Beth-horon the upper, and Beth-horon the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars:
    6) And Baal-ath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.

“All That Solomon Desired To Build”
I was struggling a little bit on what to blog on this morning, until I complained about something, and I said, “Lord, what’s wrong with me? What’s happened to my desire?” Then these words quickened me, “all that Solomon DESIRED to build.” Then I Repented.
Desire means to want, crave, aspire, hunger, thirst, need, set ones heart on, passionate longing, etc…
Solomon DESIRED to build. He wanted, craved, he hungered, he set his heart on, he was passionate about building throughout all the land of his dominion. You see he was DESIROUS to grow his kingdom.

I believe this is what’s happened to a lot of people in the church. They have lost their DESIRE, hunger and thirst and passion, they don’t set their hearts on the things of God and His Kingdom. They don’t aspire to achieve anything for God and His Kingdom anymore. They’re so caught up in the things of this world, the chaos, the problems, jobs, doubts, fears, ect… that they’ve lost their DESIRE to help Grow His Kingdom.

LORD, forgive me today. Let me have the DESIRE, the want to, the hunger to, the thirst to, the passion to, my heart set on doing the Work of Your Kingdom to help Grow Your Kingdom.

    Thank You JESUS!!

  7. 11 And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the Lord hath come.

How sad that Solomon chose a wife that did not serve the God that he did. One commentary said this was the beginning of the spiritual fall of Solomon. We must always guard our hearts and keep Jesus Christ as our first love. The world entices and lures through deception. Whether young or old. Too many times I’ve seen the snare that catches God fearing men and women to go out into the world to find companionship with a non believer and soon their walk with God gets further and further away because of a decision that alters your entire life.
Stay close to the kingdom . If you cant bring them to the church , if you can’t worship God around them , then the relationship is truly not worth losing out with God. God is faithful. Keep holding to His promises so that you can enjoy the precious things if God with your spouse .

    11 Corinthians 6:14
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

  8. 16 Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, and until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was perfected.

So the house of the Lord was perfected-

    shâlêm
    shaw-lame’
From H7999; complete (literally or figuratively); especially friendly. (shalem used by mistake for a name.): – full, just, made ready, peaceable, perfect (-ed), quiet, Shalem [by mistake for a name], whole.

The house of the Lord was made ready or made whole. Solomon made sure that everything was done for the house of the Lord in accordance to his father David. He also stayed in the commandments of God and obeying the words of God. He offered sacrifices of burnt offerings and prayed after it. Solomon never wavered from the foundation to the finishing of the temple for twenty years for the Lord.

We that have walked this narrow way with God must remain ready or whole to be perfect in Gods eyes and to be an example to those in need. We have remain holy and full of God and his righteousness to give others the hope they need to make eternity with God. As we stay faithful God will stay faithful to be right next to us. That’s how we live Jesus to give Jesus.

  9. 2 Chron. 8:16 Now all the work of Soloman was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, until it was finished, So the house of the Lord was perfected.
If we concept this into our own lives as temple of the Holy Ghost.
1 Cor 6: 19 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy [ Spirit] whom ye have of God. and ye are not your own ?
    1- Prepartion
    2- Persistence
    3- Perfected
And repent we will never get to old to stop learning about Jesus.

  10. Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, and until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was perfected.

Wisdom, strategy, planning, execution. Solomon leaned into his giftings that God gave him. He followed the plans and honored God in all that he did. That’s what the foundation was laid with. Because he honored God and then walked with Him and was sensitive to His Voice and so it was perfected.
Abraham was called to walk perfectly. That is impossible to human standards. The only way we can be perfect is by walking in the Spirit. Walking with the Lord.

  11. 2 Chronicles 8:16 Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, and until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was perfected.

Prepared – All the materials were procured, and in all Prints fitted and completed before hand.

I Kings 5:18 And Solomon’s builders and Hiram’s builders did hew them, and the stonequarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.

6:7 And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor ax nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in the building.

As we build the house for the Lord, it will be perfected .

  12. 13. He offered the sacrifices for the Sabbaths, the new moon festivals, and the three annual festivals-the Passover celebration, the Festival of Harvest, and the Festival of Shelters-as Moses had commanded.

    14. In assigning the priests to their duties, Solomon followed the regulations of his father, David. He also assigned the Levites to lead the people in praise and to assist the priests in their daily duties. And he assigned the gatekeepers to their gates by their divisions, following the commands of David, the man of God. NLT

“…as Moses had commanded… followed the regulations… following the commands…”

A lot of the problems with society today begin with the attitude of ‘nobody can tell me what to do!’
But here we see the wisest man that had ever lived was strictly following the commandments of David and Moses.
God will bless obedience and submission, but not pride and defiance.

  13. Solomon is as blessed greatly by God and he expanded as many ch as he could his dominion. In the same way we need to prepare, look around our territory, outreach, and expand. For it is REVIVAL TIME!!! It is the last days!!!
Matthew 24: 4 And Jesus answered and said to them: (D)“Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For (E)many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ (F)and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of (G)wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for [a]all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For (H)nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be (I)famines, [b]pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 (J)“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then (K)many false prophets will rise up and (L)deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow (M)cold. 13 (N)But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this (O)gospel of the kingdom (P)will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
BE READY!!!! MAKE SURE YOUR LAMP IS FULL OF OIL!!

  14. 15 And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.
16 Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, and until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was perfected.

Everyone had their place and everyone stuck to it. When everyone commits to their post, together we can perfect the house of the Lord.

  15. 1 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the Lord, and his own house,

20 years?!? God is a true God! Solomon knew that 20 years was needed for the spectacular house for the Lord!

Sometimes thing sin our life need time to develop and build if we want it to be the material we want it to be!

  16. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    WHEN WISDOM CRUMBLES

11 And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the Lord hath come.

Strange wives become strange alliances. Pride is the only reason that King Solomon would even consider to espouse a daughter of Pharaoh. The Kings wisdom was strong enough to know she was not holy, nor would she live in a holy setting. However, his wisdom crumbled when he should have avoided the relationship all together.

Wisdom says to me if I cannot bring anything or anyone in my life before the presence of the LORD, I should rid my life of that thing or person. We will learn more of this in the coming days. King Solomon took a very costly risk in taking Pharoahs daughter, knowing that she would not worship his GOD.

Do not make temporal choices that will affect eternal destinies.

  17. 14 And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

It was the duty everyday for the Levites to praise and minister before the Lord. We are from that same Levitical tribe and it us our privilege to minister before the Lord in praise and worship.

At creation the Lord longed for relationship so He created us with praise and worship in mind . We must not get so busy in our own works that we forget His world.

  18. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
In general this chapter shows the righteousness of Solomon. Solomon did so much good stuff like the following:

*Built the House of God (verse #1)
*Made the pagans servants, but the Children of Israel he elevated (verse:9)
*Followed all the orders of his father David (verse:14)
*Followed all the orders of the priests and Levites (verse:15)
*Followed the law of Moses (verse:13)

However in all this wisdom he was setting himself up for failure. This failure will later be revealed but for now we can see the daughter of Pharaoh and her special treatment. Solomon will soon take his love for his many wives to the next level when he starts allowing them to set up places of worship for their own personal gods throughout the land of Israel. Unfortunately the bad will out weigh the good and this dynasty will crumble under the son of Solomon.

  19. We must guard our relationships and not allow the enemy to sneak in our lives as pharaohs daughter did to Solomon. The good he did can be taken down quickly. This is the same in our lives. Be careful not to be snared by the enemy. Stay worshipping our Lord Jesus and stay righteous.
Thank you Jesus Christ for this day.

  20. 11 And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the Lord hath come.

12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,

  21. “Now Solomon brought the daughter of Pharaoh up from the City of David to the house he had built for her, for he said, “My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places to which the ark of the LORD has come are holy.””
    ‭‭II Chronicles‬ ‭8:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Solomon admitted that his wife was an unbeliever and unholy – yet he married her just the same. This led Solomon along a remarkably wicked path.

    1 Kings 114-6

4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father

  22. 13 Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

    Exodus 29:38
““This is what you are to offer on the altar regularly each day: two lambs a year old.”
    ‭‭

  23. 12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,

Our praise is one of the ways we can offer offerings to the Lord. Offering is more than just our tithes and offerings, it includes when we worship Him in His house and worship Him in our day to day lives during work, school or anything that you are doing that day.

  24. 12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,

An offering we can bring is our praise, God doesn’t need it, but He wants it! He wants to see us bring and give our all to Him.

  25. 8:14 and he appointed according to the order of his father
King David, the courses of the priests of his service
And the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required, the porters also by the gate everyday
For so Bad David the man of God had commanded.

  26. 2 Chronicles Chapter 8

14 And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.

The He in the beginning of verse 14 is King Solomon the son of King David.
King Solomon set in place every person pessary to operate in the Tempol each day as well as Tempol security as well as those that took up the tempol tax.

Pastor Watts has set up the leadership in the POFW so souls will be saved and leadership to mature those that have been saved. For he is the under Sheppard
and pastor of this flock. Allow him to to use the vision that he is trying employment the processes that in place to bring the vision in place. We must walk in unity together and do the work that God has called us to do. We do this all in Jesus name..

  27. “Then Solomon presented burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar he had built for him in front of the entry room of the Temple.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The altar was built in front of the temple, so before anyone could enter the temple, they first had to stop at the altar.

When we come into the house of God to minister, we should first stop by an altar to offer a sacrifice of praise and to prepare our hearts to lead others.

  28. In this chapter there was a lot of sacrifices given. What’s your sacrifice? When is your sacrifice? These are good questions to ask in order to prepare our sacrifices to Him! Let’s all make sure that our sacrifice is worth giving then taking!

  29. I learned that in this chapter it’s about family this man made a house for his wife and all the children of Israel we left behind they had a feast and they keep on winning the wars because they trust in God.

  30. Putting yourself before the Lord in prayer and worship, praise and thankfulness is what God wants
And god will be good and you will be good to him

  31. 12 Then Solomon presented burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar he had built for him in front of the entry room of the Temple.
    2 Chronicles 8:12 NLT

When we build our altar unto the Lord there are many many ways to give sacrifices unto the Lord. Your praise or just by giving yourself as a living sacrifice unto the Lord will show the Lord how much you have faith and trust in him, it can show you that he can trust you to live, walk, and talk his word. Let us grow more in the Lord, and make sure to build your altar to the Lord everyday. Let us give our all unto the Lord for he gave his life just for us! Lord I give you all the praise in thanks I can give!

  32. “Then Solomon presented burnt offerings to the Lord on the altar he had built for him in front of the entry room of the Temple.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭8:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Just like Solomon presented burnt offerings before god at the entry of the temple we must do the same. Before we come I to the house of god we must be sure that we have a sacrifice to offer. A sacrifice of praise, a sacrifice of worship. We can’t just come into the house with a sacrifice that was half way. We must put our whole heart into it. Regardless of what we may be dealing with or going through, just like it was said in prayer tonight we must lay that all aside before we come into the house of god.

  33. 7 As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,

8 But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.

It’s easy to get so busy focusing on one project that other areas lack. Here, Solomon, is just starting off as king and has so much expected from him. God has granted him wisdom and prosperity but if its not used properly then it’s useless.

Making oversights can happen but marrying outside of his people is a law not easily forgotten. It’s a compromise that will cost him. Keeping the “ites” that Israel didn’t banish were made to pay tribute but it will also cost him. Their influence is like hiding a bottle of Jack in the house of a dry alcoholic. Paying tribute is their way of paying rent to be in Israel. This is a good moment for us to observe how mistakes like these can cost us. Compromises are like leaving our door unlocked. It’s a risk that we should not be willing to take in our walk with God. Our soul is not worth the risk. We cannot give the enemy a foothold for the enemy to climb in.

  34. 1 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the Lord, and his own house,

2 That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.

Notice that Solomon built the house of the Lord, his house, then the cities. We must take this into account while trying to reach this region and nation.

First build the house of the Lord:
We must build our relationship with God. If we desire to take others into the presence of God we must first take ourselves there.

    Second build your home:
Charity starts at home. We must learn to govern others by first leading our families in a manner that is according to the Word of God. It’s one thing for our children to walk away from what was taught but a whole different story if we fail to ever teach them the ways of God.

    Third build the cities:
As we gain ground on leading our families it will give us confidence and momentum to put with our boldness to reach total strangers. As we lead our families we gain knowledge of strongholds and we break them in our families and then we are familiar with the process of breaking them for others.

  35. Verses 14-15 AMP “Now in accordance with the ordinance of his father David, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their service, and the Levites for their duties of praise and ministering and serving before the priests as every day required, and the gatekeepers by their divisions at every gate; for David the man of God had so commanded. And they did not deviate from the commandment of the king to the priests and Levites in any respect or in regard to the storehouses or treasuries.” We too cannot afford to deviate from, turn aside from, change, depart, or turn from God’s commandments; but, follow his instructions/directions right down to the fine print.” In order to do that of course we have to Resist the Resistance and just get the things out of the way that are causing us to be distracted or to stray off course from what God wants us to do.

  36. 11 And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the Lord hath come.

Talk about conviction. He wouldn’t even let his wife stay where the Ark had been, because it was holy, and she was far from it… Awesome how Jesus separates light and dark…

  37. “And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the Lord, and his own house,”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭8:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It won’t happen in a day. Solomon took his time and worked in excellence and we must do the same. Our work for the Kingdom should not be rushed just so we can say we did it. Instead we should cherish the growth God has provided

  38. 9 But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.

The people of today or in the world , would call this racism? Idk I think its the favor of the LORD….

  39. 12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,

We too should bring to our altar, sacrifices that are genuine and with reverence before the Lord. For He is Holy and Worthy of all! Now more than ever, we must keep our altar burning. So we don’t loose our fire of protection and fall into the darkness of this world! Stay lit and shine through this dark weary world! Let us bring light and hope!

  40. 16 Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, and until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was perfected.

You can’t treat the house of the Lord anyway you want to. God’s work has to be perfected. Solomon worked hard to complete the task God had given him. When we work for the Lord, that is not the time to give up. That is the time to press even harder so that the work of the Lord is completed to his satisfaction.

  41. 14 “He followed the practice of his father David…”

I am reminded of the lyrics of a song: be careful little feet where you go, for it is the little feet behind you that are sure to follow.

The wisest king Solomon followed the his father, just as our children today follow the path we take. We should be as wise as Solomon and allow Jesus to lead us that we may lead the ones following us on the path or righteousness.

  42. 2 Chronicles 8

This Chapter means that, Solomon gave Praises to God and offerings for He had build His Temple which completed The Prophecy.

  43. “But Jehoram followed the example of the kings of Israel and was as wicked as King Ahab, for he had married one of Ahab’s daughters. So Jehoram did what was evil in the Lord’s sight.”
    ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭8:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jehoram king of Israel had a responsibility to lead but instead, he chose to follow the world to do what he desires which lead him to be a wicked king and did evil in the Lord’s sight. For if you love this we don’t have the love of the Father in us because this world wants you to want more of your carnal desires but that has nothing to do with God but is of the world. And everything of this world will pass away but he that seeketh after God with all their heart will find everlasting life with Him.

  44. 2 Chronicles 8:12

[12]Then Solomon presented burnt offerings to the lord on the altar he had built for him in front of the entry room of the Temple.

    2 Chronicles 8:13

[13]He offered the sacrifices for the Sabbaths, the new moon festivals, and the three annual festivals—the Passover celebration, the Festival of Harvest, and the Festival of Shelters—as Moses had commanded.

    Sacrifices & Messiah
As a lamb slain from the foundation of the world, Messiah’s Sacrifice was the pinnacle of all Sacrifices, and it is evident that all sacrifices pointed to Him. But it is important to understand that His sacrifice is not offered up in an earthly temple, but in the heavenly construction
    Hebrews 9:23-26
[23]That is why the Tabernacle and everything in it, which were copies of things in heaven, had to be purified by the blood of animals. But the real things in heaven had to be purified with far better sacrifices than the blood of animals.

[24]For Christ did not enter into a holy place made with human hands, which was only a copy of the true one in heaven. He entered into heaven itself to appear now before God on our behalf.

[25]And he did not enter heaven to offer himself again and again, like the high priest here on earth who enters the Most Holy Place year after year with the blood of an animal.

[26]If that had been necessary, Christ would have had to die again and again, ever since the world began. But now, once for all time, he has appeared at the end of the age to remove sin by his own death as a sacrifice.
What was created on earth was a duplicate of the heavenly

    Hebrews 8:5
[5]They serve in a system of worship that is only a copy, a shadow of the real one in heaven. For when Moses was getting ready to build the Tabernacle, God gave him this warning: “Be sure that you make everything according to the pattern I have shown you here on the mountain.”
    Exodus 25:40

His sacrifice is what purifies the soul and clears our conscience which could not have been wiped clean with the blood of earthly sacrifices, but only covered(Atoned)
    Hebrews 9:9

  45. 16 Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord, and until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was perfected.

There was no perfect man working on the temple. The work that was put in was t perfect because it was done by imperfect men. But here it is called perfect work from start to finish. The perfection came in the unity and sacrifice that was made by those imperfect people. When we all unify we cover each other’s imperfections and our collective work is made perfect. It is more important to be in unity than to be perfect.

  46. 9 But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.
10 And these were the chief of king Solomon’s officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.

Solomon made many people servants, but the children of Israel were warriors, leaders, and officers. They were the people in charge. God’s people were not servants, but leaders. We need to remember that as children of God we are not oppressed servants, but warrior leaders in God’s kingdom.

  47. “Solomon turned his attention to rebuilding the towns that King Hiram had given him, and he settled Israelites in them.(2 Chronicles‬ ‭8:2‬ ‭NLT‬)

It shows how Solomon started off on the right foot by putting God first Solomon built the temple of the Lord.

  48. 9 But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.

10 And these were the chief of king Solomon’s officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.

Those who are the people of God, the children of God have the favor of the king. This verse came to mind as I read how Solomon favored the people of Israel, Gods children.

And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
    Deuteronomy 28:13 KJV

The head and not the tail. That is a promise from the Word of God, but there is a condition with it. Of we hearken to the commandments to observe and to do them. There is no real man or woman of God that should walk around with their heads low. He always causes us to triumph. To go from victory to victory. Yet we must be obedient for in there we have the favor to be the head and not the tail.

  49. 12 Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had built before the porch,
13 Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

I’m going to have to look into this further. I am still confused. Did Solomon sacrifice daily or was it three times a year. Possibly it was a new altar built three years?? I don’t understand, but I will be researching and figuring out.

  50. “It took Solomon twenty years to build the Lord’s Temple and his own royal palace. At the end of that time,”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭8:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It did not matter how long it was gonna take what mattered was getting the job done. Often times too many people moved from job to job house to house ministry to ministry. What matters is consistency. When we’re consistent we start to see fruit. I once had a shirt from football that said tough times don’t last tough people do. That mindset must be carried in the kingdom. We’ve went through some tough times but those times won’t last the tough people will so even if it takes you 20 years to fill a bus you better work as hard as you can to fill that bus until it’s done.

  51. “Solomon had built the Lord’s altar. It stood in front of the temple porch. On that altar Solomon sacrificed burnt offerings to the Lord. Each day he sacrificed what the Law of Moses required. He sacrificed the required offerings every Sabbath day. He also sacrificed them at each New Moon Feast and during the three yearly feasts. Those three were the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Booths.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭8:12-13‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

Every day there was a sacrifice given. The sacrifice brought blessing and most of all it brought salvation and forgiveness for their sins. And the animal that was sacrificed was a specific animal it wasn’t sick or defective. Only a pure and whole sacrifice was made.  We find in the Bible that the old testament has types and shadows of what to do in the New Testament. Although, we do not sacrifice physically, the Bible does say that we are a living sacrifice and this is a reasonable service. We must sacrifice ourselves daily for our salvation. And since we are the sacrifice we must be holy and pure. Not effective not engaged in sin. Less of me and more of Him. And we must sacrifice until I reflect only the image, character, nature of God.

“Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts and passions. Do not go on offering members of your body to sin as instruments of wickedness. But offer yourselves to God [in a decisive act] as those alive [raised] from the dead [to a new life], and your members [all of your abilities–sanctified, set apart] as instruments of righteousness [yielded] to God.”
    ‭‭ROMANS‬ ‭6:12-13‬ ‭AMP‬‬
