Proverbs 26

As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.

As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool’s back.

Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage.

The legs of the lame are not equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools.

As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.

As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouths of fools.

10 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.

11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.

14 As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed.

15 The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.

16 The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.

17 He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.

18 As a mad man who casteth firebrands, arrows, and death,

19 So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport?

20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.

22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

23 Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross.

24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;

25 When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.

26 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation.

27 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.

28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

  1. Verses 23-28 AMP “Like a [common] clay vessel covered with the silver dross [making it appear silver when it has no real value] Are burning lips [murmuring manipulative words] and a wicked heart. He who hates, disguises it with his lips, But he stores up deceit in his heart. When he speaks graciously and kindly [to conceal his malice], do not trust him, For seven abominations are in his heart. Though his hatred covers itself with guile and deceit, His malevolence will be revealed openly before the assembly. Whoever digs a pit [for another man’s feet] will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone [up a hill to do mischief], it will come back on him. A lying tongue hates those it wounds and crushes, And a flattering mouth works ruin.” Ecclesiastes 10:2 AMP “A wise man’s heart turns him toward the right [which is the way of blessing], but a fool’s heart turns him toward the left [which is the way of condemnation].” Resist the Resistance….heed the warnings!

  3. 13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.

14 As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed.

15 The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.

16 The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.

Here is the lazy man again and the imaginary lion that prevents his ongoing to work. He turns, like a door on its hinges on his bed. Now he lies on his back, now on his front. Back and forth he swings with plenty of motion but no progress toward getting up. Later when he is at the table, he dips his hand in the bowl but can’t muster up enough energy to lift the food to his mouth. Even sometimes as pleasurable as eating is an exhausting effort. He is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who can give a proper answer; that is seven intelligent men, unanimous in their insistence that he is wrong, wouldn’t change his mind a fraction.

  5. 23 Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross.

My mother in law always stated “if you have nothing good to say, please don’t say a word” and that has stuck with me through the many years while living for God. A person that has burning lips and a wicked heart is a vessel that has nothing good to say because they are covered with silver dross or as it is said has nothing good to say. They are full of bitterness, hurt, discontentment, and even hatred. They are very dangerous people. The scripture states that out of the heart the mouth speaks. Because once you have spoken, those words you can not get back. If we are
Not speaking love and compassion like Jesus, then what good are we to try to win the lost?

We have to have our minds to be like Jesus, so that when we speak we can speak love and wisdom. We have to speak trustworthy and knowledge. Because it only takes one time to to ruin all the kindness that we possess. So the voice of the church must be heard but. It’s is how we speak that will mostly matter when trying to reach the lost. Will we be kind, loving, and sincere or will we be as the fools speaks like the world? The Bible states that the power of life and death are in the tongue. So what say you?

  6. Prov. 26 : 27 Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein, and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.
We shouldn’t lead no one into a trap, Because we could get ourselves in it.
Psalms 9: 16 The Lord is known by the judgment which he executeth; the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands.
There are several warnings in this chapter.
But our Lord Jesus can handle it all.
Praise God for all of his glory and honer.

  7. Fire goes out without wood, and quarrels disappear when gossip stops.
    Proverbs 26:20 NLT

Put out the strange fires and send up a holy fire. God is looking for those who will worship Him in Spirit and truth!

  8. 28. Liars take no pity on those they crush with their lies, and flattery spoils everyone it touches. Voice

Liars will just tell you whatever they think you want to hear, whatever helps them out of a situation at that time, or sometimes there’s no reasoning, just a big ole lie for no reason – they’ll just make up another one later to cover this one.

  9. 28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

Lies, especially from those whom you love, are the number one way to kill a relationship. It’s crazy to me to see those who have a lifestyle of lying also hate everyone and everything. They always say it’s everyone else’s fault and can never own up to anything they do. In fact you find that they actually hate themselves. The truth is they are telling themselves more lies than they are telling others. Lies can tear down the strongest of relationships to the point of no return.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Look at what that little white lie groups you with. Keep your tongue right and the rest will follow. And the truth shall set you free.

  10. Proverbs 26

1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.

2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool’s back.

4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

6 He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage.

7 The legs of the lame are not equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools.

8 As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.

9 As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouths of fools.

  11. Fools, liars, gossipers, and those that are always looking for an argument will always be around; it is up to you not to allow them to disturb your life. Do yourself a favor next time one of them come to you with some gossip, just take them Lovingly by the hand to the person they’re talking about and say “now tell me what were you saying”. Believe me when I tell you that’s the first and last time you will hear a gossip!!!! With the fools which have a bit of everything is the same thing so not allow them to con their ways into your life because all they bring is strife. Thank you Jesus for showing us that you alone can handle them, so we lift them up in prayer and guard our hearts with deligence.

  12. It is very tempting to think that the fool is someone else and not me. If we think this, then we are ‘wise in our own eyes’: ‘Do you see a person wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for fools than for them’ (v.12)! This is the sting in the tail. After making us smile by showing how silly fools can be, we are reminded that when we think we are wise we are even worse off than a fool!

  13. 23 Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross.

You can say all the right things with your lips, but if your heart is not clean on the inside there is no value to your words.
    Matthew 23:27
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.”

  14. “Do not answer [nor pretend to agree with the frivolous comments of] a [closed-minded] fool according to his folly, Otherwise you, even you, will be like him.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Be careful of what you agree with and allow to come into your heart. Everything that is said is not true. We must not entertain the things that are not of god. We must protect our ears and hearts because satan will try and creep up and change our way of thinking. This is why it’s important for us to stay prayed up so we can go to battle when satan tried to come and attack.

  15. 4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

These scriptures have always baffled me because I couldn’t figure out whether I was supposed to answer a fool according to his folly or not. The only thing I can figure out with these two verses is that fools are going to argue no matter what is presented to them. Arguing with them makes you look as bad as they do and ignoring them make some feel like they are the wise one. But that’s just it, they are fools and that’s why they are called so. I don’t this verse has ever been more relevant than it is now With all the nonsense everywhere. I think there is a time and a place for that type of discussion but now is not that time lest we be grouped with them

  16. If someone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless. AMEN AMEN AMEN! THIS is a constant struggle!!!! We need t PRAY PRAY PRAY

  17. “They pretend to be kind, but don’t believe them. Their hearts are full of many evils. While their hatred may be concealed by trickery, their wrongdoing will be exposed in public.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:25-26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

People may cover there hearts with placenta words, but they are filled with hatred and despise. Look out for these types of “friends” the once that don’t want what’s best for you but ones that just want use you. Seek the heart of God, and he’ll give you the right friends you need.

    Actions speak louder then words.

  18. 16Lazy people consider themselves smarter
    than seven wise counselors.

Lazy people have become dependent on others and on the government. They expect things to be given to them. They become lazy, and don’t want to earn a living. They take, but don’t want to give their time and talent to serve in the Kingdom of God.

4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

This scripture has kept me safe many times. Just yesterday, I was about to go off on a feller on facebook. Some folk say Jesus would never go off on people…but y’all forgot when he overthrew the money changers tables. But nevertheless I’m not Jesus and this feller wasn’t selling sheep so I just let him holler… but the point of the matter is that this scripture came to my mind and I just let the issue go. This is the way we should approach bible reading. It should change our outcome on life and it should save us from internet trolls.

  20. LIVE – GIVE JESUS2
    THE HATE OF LYING

28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

Love and relationship are built on TRUTH. Dishonesty reveals hate as revealed through a lack of respect for others. Promises, commitments and covenants are all opportunities for dishonesty and a lie.

This proverb reveals the true pain of lying and the hate that is hidden in the heart of those that tell lies. This proverb makes it impossible to tell a lie to someone we say we love. The eternal word of GOD identifies a lie as HATE Speech.

Speak the TRUTH and honor commitments, promises, pledges and covenants to protect your heart from hate. This verse reveals the depth of pain inflicted through dishonesty and especially a lie spoken to or against someone.

JESUS help us consider the pain of lying and commit to living and speaking TRUTH to those we Love and Respect including you JESUS.

  21. “As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Once we have been delivered from sin we must maintain our salvation. We must not be foolish with our salvation. Whatever the cost we must be saved. Search me OH Lord! Deliver me from all evil and deliver me from myself.

  22. 22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

God despises a gossiper, a lying tongue and one who stirs up strife. He loves the person, but dislikes what they do. We must be careful not to get caught up in other peoples talebearing. If we know something is not true, than take the initiative to stop them in their tracks and don’t let them dump the junk on you. Social media is a great platform but it is also a platform where people who are disgruntled spew their dislike and hatred. As Apostolic Holy Ghost filled believers, we must separate ourselves from that. When we begin to judge others based on something someone else said, it won’t be long until we will face the same temptation and could easily succumb to it because we joined forces with the wrong.

Coming out from among the world is more than just our dress; it is our actions, our attitudes, our likes and dislikes, our speech, our responses.

2 Corinthians 6:17 “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”

  23. Proverbs 26:9
A proverb in the mouth of a fool is like a thorny branch brandished by a drunk.

Proverbs raises questions of values, moral behavior, the meaning of human life, and righteous conduct.

  24. Proverbs Chapter 26

28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it. the person or persons having
a lying Tongue digf their on grave.
I was taught that the enemy uses flattery in one ear to puff you up and bring pride to make us fall. The other ear to discourage us when we have a job to do and says that the job can not be done. We must press in to Jesus for He is the author and finisher of our faith.

  25. “When you run out of wood, the fire goes out; when the gossip ends, the quarrel dies down.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:20‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Just as wood fuels fire so does gossip fuel strife.

Fire cannot continue to burn without wood being thrown on it, and strife won’t continue when we throw out our ought against one another.

“And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself.”
    ‭‭James‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  26. 11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

Bro Fielding would use this verse a lot -in my memory-to warn people of going back into the world after having come out from it. The enemy is subtle and has deceived many to return to the world’s way of living but this verse describes it so well-we would be returning to what makes God sick. Satan attacks when we are weak-not strong-so we must ask the mind of Christ to be in us and be in the Spirit on the Lord’s day…which is everyday.

  27. 18-19 “People who shrug off deliberate deceptions, saying, “I didn’t mean it, I was only joking,”
Are worse than careless campers who walk away from smoldering campfires.”

    “No offensive but …”
    ” … just kidding”

It’s unfortunate how careless we are with our language, words, and speech. We say things that should never be said, and never say the things that should be said. Carelessness? Pride? Fear? There are numerous reasons why we say what we say, or don’t say what we should.

We can never take back the words we’ve said, and the moments lost that we should have spoken are irreparable.

As we LIVE Jesus, we must allow Him to lead us to say what needs to be said. And at the same time, allow us to keep our mouth shut to not say what needs to be said.

  28. 9 As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouths of fools.
10 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.

    The Message

To ask a moron to quote a proverb
is like putting a scalpel in the hands of a drunk.

Hire a fool or a drunk
and you shoot yourself in the foot.

  29. Fire goes out without wood, and quarrels disappear when gossip stops. A quarrelsome person starts fights as easily as hot embers light charcoal or fire lights wood. Rumors are dainty morsels that sink deep into one’s heart.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:20-22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Strife doesn’t create itself. It has a maker, and it is the gossip, the talebearer, the contentious man.

    Proverbs 17:4 Voice
[4] Wrongdoers perk up when listening to gossip, and liars lean in close to hear talk of mischief.

  30. 4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

    We need to be wiser

  31. 20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.
21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.
22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

    Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace who hear it.

  32. “Like one who grabs a dog by the ears [and is likely to be bitten] Is he who, passing by, stops to meddle with a dispute that is none of his business.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:17‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Don’t get caught up in something that has nothing to do with you. All the time and energy required to get out of that business could be used so much more meaningfully. Instead we should use a tool God has given us – prayer. Praying for someone rather than getting in the middle of their situation is the best thing we could ever do because now we have invited Jesus into the situation. He is the healer, He is the Counselor, He is God. I may not be able to do it but I know my God can! I pray we make intercession for those around us, knowing and believing that God can.

  33. 20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.

22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

23 Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross.

The saying goes “hurting people will hurt others” …. it’s hard not to lash out when people try to defame you or others that you care about. It is best to remain silent, hold your peace and let the Lord fight our battles.

  34. 20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.

We are to be in one mind and one accord, when we use our words against one another, we ruin that bond, God wants to see us all in unity with one another, unity gives us strength!

  35. Proverbs 26:4 (NLT)
“Don’t answer the foolish arguments of fools, or you will become as foolish as they are.”

In this verse, to answer the foolish arguments of fools only brings you down to their level and can cause you to end up in a quarrel or fight with them. This person does not want to be taught, but just wants to argue his point. So to argue with him only makes you look foolish too.
    2 Timothy 2:23-24 (NLT) says,…
    23) Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights.
    24) A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.

  36. “The great God who formed everything Gives the fool his hire and the transgressor his wages.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There are consequences for all sin. Even those that are kept in secret. We escape death when we repent, but the consequences from sin may still come.

  37. “When you run out of wood, the fire goes out; when the gossip ends; the quarrel dies down.” Proverbs 26:20

When you gossip or say hurtful things to others, this is the enemy controlling you. Our Lord Jesus who is full of grace and love, would never be like that. Also when we are the one is who being negatively targeted we must be patient and ask God for guidance.

“The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:6

Thank you Jesus for this day!

  38. A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

Liars have sweet lips and make you feel good. They destroy you and other so they may live and be free for the moment. We can not let the sweet talkers and sugar coasters creat a church of brittle. We are so fast to accept the easy and wrong but slow to accept the hard and right.

  39. 11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

Just as nasty and cray to see a dog go eat there vomit so is us going back to sin going back to the mistakes we have made in the pass.

We should move forward when God delivers sets free we should live and act that way.

  40. 20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

Be careful who you hang out with. Some people enjoy causing trouble in your life. They’ve been treat wrong at some point, so they are looking for others to join them. God has given his people power over that type of spirit. Don’t let others bring you down. Trust in God and he will show you the path.

  41. As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
    Proverbs 26:2 KJV

God is just. And we can also say logsuffering and patient. However, like the Word says here the curse causeless shall not come. When one flirts with sin it eventually becomes your relationship and you fall into its trap. So dont do things that you know are wrong and will cause you harm in the end. To comes a time to be judged.

  42. 20 Fire goes out without wood, and quarrels disappear when gossip stops.
25 They pretend to be kind, but don’t believe them. Their hearts are full of many evils.
    Proverbs 26:20 & 25 NLT

Many people in this world are being influenced by the enemy, and all the evil wicked things in this world. Many see and do, many want to fit in so as they see fits in this world they do. We must be careful on who we hang around with because at one point you won’t even realize that you have done what they tried to get you to do like gossip or worry about what you do to try to fit in. We are the children of the Lord we were created to make a change to help save those lost, to help those seeking for the light of the Lord. Let us not focus on what this world wants us to be and focus on being what the Lord needs you to be. Grow more in the Lord daily seek him and his word and see him do wonders in your life! With God there is joy and victory!

  43. 4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

This particular chapter is scattered with wisdom that warns us what happens to the wicked and foolish. These proverbs teach us how to handle situations with them and ultimately where they’ll end up. They may prosper but it’s temporary and only by Gods given grace to repent.

We must never stoop to their level no matter how tempting it may be to be petty or exact our own revenge. Vengeance is the Lords and mightier then any wrath we can inflict. The body is temporary but the soul is eternal.

We do not correct the foolish because it would make ourselves fools. Matching folly is not the intention either. Instead we should brush away the attention folly craves and direct it instead unto the glory of God. Foolishness is a distraction we don’t have time for. Wickedness will only equal ruin because if you give them enough rope then they will hang themselves. Our job is to identify it, reject it so not give into temptation turn it to glorify Jesus. He takes what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for good.

  44. 12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Never get so conceited that you feel as though you yourself are so wise and don‘to need to listen to the advice of elders and those that are actually wise. When you see yourself as wise and you don’t need the advice and guidance of others, you end up looking like a fool!! Others see you as a fool even though you see yourself as wise!!

23 Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross.
28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

This verse also speaks to me as

  45. 13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.

14 As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed.

15 The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.

The slothful man sees a lion in the way and goes back to bed until the lion is gone. The problem is that sometimes the lion is not going anywhere.

The prudent man will see the lion and resist the resistance. He pushes beyond himself and relies on others and the help of God to proceeds. He understands that it’s all worth fighting for

  46. I think this chapter was about honor and respect. We should honor our choices and respect our decisions. What is honor? I like to classify honor as something worthy, or worth doing. I am not gong to honor something if it doesn’t have worth to me. What is respect? I like to classify respect as proven worthy. In order to have respect towards someone or something there have been some proof for you to feel that way! Should we honor or respect God? The answer is both! He deserves our praise, honor, respect, dignity, worship, and much more. How are you showing these features? There are multiple ways and I hope you have found the way that works for you and Him! So I pray tonight that everyone is giving God all of your worship and praise for he deserves it!

  47. “People may cover their hatred with pleasant words, but they’re deceiving you. They pretend to be kind, but don’t believe them. Their hearts are full of many evils. While their hatred may be concealed by trickery, their wrongdoing will be exposed in public.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:24-26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We must be careful to who we listen and watch online those things have a big influence on people and you. Don’t listen to foolish people but tune in the word of God.

  48. 22 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

We have to be careful what comes out of our mouths and what we speak to those around us. It can bring forth life or destruction. Don’t let your words wound those who need restoration but lift them up with the word of the Lord! Speak wisely!

  49. “As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his foolishness.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Sin fills our hearts with junk, problems, and fear and will make us tempted of doing more sin. Don’t give in to the temptation, but keep pressing into the kingdom of God and His righteousness. God wants to set us free from all of our sin surrender to God and let Him come and cleanse your life and let Him die Lord overall.

  50. 4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

Many times we can trip up here. We get distracted by someone with their questioning Jesus, not that they are questioning about him, but questioning his wisdom and his decisions.

The Word says that “all things work together…” so why do we get all caught up in the kingdoms of this world? If this “is not our home”, and earth is going to pass away; if our lives are just a vapor, then why is political affiliation such a hostile topic? Could it be that we are fooling ourselves because we don’t believe?…

  51. “See that man who thinks he’s so smart? You can expect far more from a fool than from him.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:12‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I hope I never allow myself to get to such a dangerous spot where I think I know more than the next person and become untraceable. When you cease to learn you cease to grow…in any aspect of life! Spiritually, physically, and mentally.

  52. 4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

It’s in our best interest that we stay quiet lest we be shown that we are a fool. I think that everybody can be a fool!!! Especially in carnalityI

  53. “Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

No one wants to hear you brag on yourself. Let someone else do it so they can tell it’s real.

  54. “A lying tongue hates its victims, and flattering words cause ruin.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭26:28‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The tongue the most dangerous part of the body. You have to be careful what you listen to and watch the ones who give you those flattering words. Those are the ones that could persuade you to go a different path than what the Lord is calling you too. Kinda like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

  55. Lazy people take food in their hand but don’t even lift it to their mouth.
    Proverbs 26:15 NLT

I truly love that no matter what is said America still does have equal opportunity as far as our country goes right now. And whether it be able-bodied workers and the diligent and passionate or whether it be fools and sluggards there is opportunities of all kinds still readily available to us. These sluggard will desire the same opportunities as the hard-working and will sit on those opportunities but never do anything with them.
