Proverbs 27

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.

A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool’s wrath is heavier than them both.

Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?

Open rebuke is better than secret love.

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.

Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man’s friend by hearty counsel.

10 Thine own friend, and thy father’s friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother’s house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off.

11 My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.

12 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.

13 Take his garment that is surety for a stranger, and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.

14 He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him.

15 A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.

16 Whosoever hideth her hideth the wind, and the ointment of his right hand, which bewrayeth itself.

17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

18 Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.

19 As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.

20 Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.

21 As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise.

22 Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him.

23 Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.

24 For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?

25 The hay appeareth, and the tender grass sheweth itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered.

26 The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.

27 And thou shalt have goats’ milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.

  1. 1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

No one is sure of tomorrow. Therefore, don’t boast about all you will do like the rich fool did

    Luke 12:16-21
16 “And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:”‭
17 “And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?”
‭‭18 “And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.”
‭‭19 “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”
‭‭20 “But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?”
‭‭21 “So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

    James 4:13-15
13 “Go to now, ye that say, To day or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:”
‭‭14 “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”
‭‭15 “For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.”

  2. 17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend

If there was any one scripture that could solidify the importance of the church and being a part of the body of Christ it would be this one. Knowing that we are not meant to deal with problems by ourselves but rather collectively and encouraging one another in the doctrine. It is not a sole journey that one takes in the faith but rather it is an individual experience that someone takes in connection to others. It’s the reason why unity thrives as individuals come together for a single purpose. It’s a universal principle that God put in this world for us to use. The more united we are and help each other to sharpen our blades together the better we become

  3. Proverbs 27
17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

    “Joy Talks”
In the olden days I recall my grandmother taking one knife that may have become a bit dull and began to rub it against another knife. She explained that both knives were actually being sharpened at the same time. The next time I seen her sharpening a knife she was using another instrument or kitchen item she called a knife sharpener. Again it was a tool she used that was to sharpen the knife made of similar material.
    Iron sharpens iron.
    “Joy Talks “
A friend of mine mentioned that the times we had gotten together for these talks . It seemed every time we had spent any length of time together and had shared what God was doing in our own life we would end up laughing or encouraging one another. I believe this is what iron sharpens iron is . Strengthening one another . If we see the countenance of a friend that seems to be down why not try a “Joy Talk”. Encouragement, strengthening sharing what God has been doing and even what prayers are not answered as of yet . It helps to build up your faith snd lift up your countenance. Instead of becoming dull and useless like a knife can become why not get with someone who can sharpen you and make you realize you just needed a Joy Talk . Sharpen one another for the Kingdom. There is so much work fir the Kingdom and we must encourage and work together . Try it . Iron sharpens iron and you have the ability to help lift the countenance of your brother and sited who may need a little sharpening.
I think the other scripture could apply here

19 As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.

It’s ok to have a heart to heart talk many times it can be the wake up call to keep your spiritual walk on the right path. Be sure you have someone in your life that if they need to throw a bit of cold water into your face it’s ok. This race is not to the swiftest but the ones that finish. Please let’s help one another get to the finish line. Accountability and Teachable. Allowing iron to sharpen iron .
Just think of it as a Joy Talk. It doesn’t hurt as bad as you thought it would . Because if you truly want to be sharpened you can allow that friend to be real with you . It could be the salvation of your soul .

  4. 19 As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person. (NLT)

21 Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but a person is tested by being praised. (NLT)

Everyday we must evaluate ourselves. Ask God to search us and know us. Set us in the flame until we reflect the purity of God. We want to be like You Jesus, we want to live and give Jesus!

  5. 19. As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man. KJV

    19. Just as water reflects a person’s true face, so the human heart reflects a person’s true character. Voice

If you want to know what someone really thinks, just be patient and listen – they will usually tell you whether they realize it or not.

    Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

  6. Prov. 27: 19 As in water, face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.
Luke 6 :45 A good man, out of good treasure of his own heart, bringeth forth that which is good ; and an evil man, out of the evil; treasure of his own heart, bring forth that which is evil; for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Everyday we must prepare our heart and minds on doing good to produce good fruits.
    For doing for others!
Go and reach and search the lost!
Jesus help us , You are our light!
    I love you Jesus.

  7. Proverbs 27

1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

2 Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.

3 A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool’s wrath is heavier than them both.

4 Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?

5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.

6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

7 The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

8 As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.

  8. 23 Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.
24 For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?

In those days people made money off of there flocks of cows, sheep, whatever they were raising so it was important to say look over the state of the flock because if they are not doing good when it is time to sell they would not make money.
The same is in our lives yes we my not have a farm or flocks but we do have our lives our families our love ones to look after and if you are the leader of your home it is up to us to look over our family and see where something it hurt or needs fixing.
There will always be good time and bad times that is the way of life and it is easier to get ready for the bad times in the good times.
Today let us look over a lives our families to make sure all is good.

  9. 6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

I am so grateful to my good friends who have confronted me with painful truth from time to time – always out of love and with great sensitivity and grace.

  10. “Let someone else praise you, not your own mouth— a stranger, not your own lips.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Honor means much more when it comes from a stranger then being a self-praise or self-promotion .

“self-praise stinks, friend’s praise limps, stranger’s praise rings.’” (Waltke)

  11. 27:9 ointment and perfume rejoice the heart
So doth the sweetness of a man’s friend by heart council.
    —-

    ..Let’s pray about it…
    God knows…
    Your will be done…
Know that I am here to help you…
    Call me any time…
    Have you prayed about it?
    What does the Bible says?

These kind of questions must play an important part of a friendship.
    Hallelujah
    God is good!!!!

    In a friends conversation

  12. 17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

While we live in the righteousness of God, we will need to surround ourselves with those that will strengthen us in our walk with God. We have to have someone that will hold us accountable for our actions and words. We are covered and accountable to the shepherd of the flock, but we have to have someone that will walk with us and talk with us at the level to help us grow in the purpose of God. We have to realize that if we keep too ourselves then the enemy will defeat us and we will fall by the way side. God can only do so much when we allow him to operate within us. We have to be apart of a unified body in order to be stronger to overcome the devices of our enemy.

There is not better time than now to gather ourselves in unity because of the world we are living in right now. The condition is ever more deteriorating and we need all the help and assistance that we can get by strengthening ourselves in great numbers and it’s time for the church to stand. We need each other just like we need God and need a pastor. It is a choice that we have to make or we will never survive spiritually alone.

  13. Proverbs 27:6 AMP
“Faithful are the wounds of a friend [who corrects out of love and concern], But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful [because they serve his hidden agenda].”
    ‭‭
A true friend who loves you may hurt your feelings when corrections are given. But it is far better to be hurt with love than deceitful kisses of your enemy.

  14. 1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

We must guard our mind, which will tame our speach. It is good to plan ahead, however the Lord can decern a boast and in just a moment we can easily become disabled. It is the Lord that allows us to have the abilities we have.

  15. Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

To me this can apply to many parts of our life. Your enemy is only out for himself, a true friend is out for self and others. My relationship with Jesus should be as a friend because Jesus is perfect and it’s not possible for him to be deceitful. I personally don’t want to be in any situation with deceit, that’s the devil’s department.

  16. Verse 12 AMP “A prudent man sees evil and hides himself and avoids it,
But the naive [who are easily misled] continue on and are punished [by suffering the consequences of sin].” It is time to square up, grow-up and cut the sin out. Verse 19 ERV says “Just as you can see your own face reflected in water, so your heart reflects the kind of person you are.”

1 John 3:6-7 AMP “No one who abides in Him [who remains united in fellowship with Him—deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin. No one who habitually sins has seen Him or known Him. Little children (believers, dear ones), do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who practices righteousness [the one who strives to live a consistently honorable life—in private as well as in public—and to conform to God’s precepts] is righteous, just as He is righteous.”

  17. iLove the Kingdom
25 The hay appeareth, and the tender grass sheweth itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered.

This scripture reminds me of what happened Western Day. We got some really good and fruitful hay donated last year. The hay bales were really good quality. People used them for decoration and tossed them to and fro, set them upon the flowerbeds and took pictures. It all was so fun and so innocent until…until now. Hay is growing everywhere. Real live hay plants growing up through the rocks and cracks of the sidewalk. The thing about it is, you can’t even get upset because, “the hay appeareth” and that is in the Bible.

  18. LIVE – GIVE JESUS2
    KINGDOM PURPOSE

20 Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.

We know the devil is an imitator of GOD. The spirit of the adversary is to oppose the will of GOD. Therefore we often see the prinicipals of the world imitate or oppose the principals of The Kingdom of GOD.

Here the Proverb says that hell and destruction are never full; and the lust of the eyes is what brings man down. Therefore the opposite of this principal could mean for The Kingdom of GOD:

20 Heaven and Kingdom Order are never full; so the eyes of the LORD are never satisfied.

JESUS is always looking to SAVE, HEAL or DELIVER someone and HIS desire is to use US, ME, HIS CHURCH.

As we seek to LIVE and GIVE JESUS as HE Lives in and Gives through us lets remeember that we are the only HOPE that some people will have.

  19. 18 Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.
19 As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.

Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Let the fire of my alter never go out. Only through prayer and fasting is the only way to keep the burning.

  20. “Open rebuke is better than secret love.

Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:5, 17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Correction is never easy. No one likes to be corrected, but correction is for our better good. God has placed a pastor and other leaders to oversee us. He loves us that much that he wants us to live right and do right. When you are corrected you should not take it to heart but take it as love. If god didn’t love us he wouldn’t correct us. I thank god for the corrections because in the corrections there is growth.

  21. 17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

This is what I miss the most. My spirit is fed in every service. My Pastor makes sure of this!! The word that he brings us is a full meal. I experience God’s presence regularly but the fellowship of my church family, our sharing, our sharpening of each other that I miss so much. What we experience in the sanctuary as one congregation I miss that. Never take for granted what being part of a Church Family can give you!!! A lot of people say well church is in your heart not in a building and yes church is in your heart but UNITY MAKES YOU STRONGER. God did not makes us to be apart but United in His Holy Spirit as One and the same!!! We were not meant to be an island all by ourselves Romana 14:7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
So remain together and in Unity in Christ. We will soon be all together joyful reunion in the Lord Jesus Christ. Love you POFW let’s keep REVIVAL GOING!!!! Always in my Prayers!

  22. AMP – 15 A constant dripping on a day of steady rain
    And a contentious (quarrelsome) woman are alike;

MSG 15-16 A nagging spouse is like
    the drip, drip, drip of a leaky faucet;
    You can’t turn it off,
and you can’t get away from it.

TLB – 15 A constant dripping on a rainy day and a cranky woman are much alike!

NIV – 15 A quarrelsome wife is like the dripping
    of a leaky roof in a rainstorm;

Woman of God – we set the tone in our home. If our spirit and attitude is not right, we bring chaos to entire atmosphere. If we continually nag, argue or are contentious that attitude is passed to our spouse, our children and those we come in contact with. We must get our heart right every morning, portray the sweetness of the Spirit of God that is within us.

Is everything gonna go right? No. Are we always going to be up? No, but we know the source of our strength and our joy and we must take time to refresh ourselves in His presence everyday so that we reflect JESUS to everyone. Living and Giving JESUS is our mission – that includes to our families.

  23. 10 Thine own friend, and thy father’s friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother’s house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off.
11 My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.

These 2 verses stood out to me and made me think of Solomon’s own who takes the throne. His son rejects his father’s counselors and he ends up with the people revolting against him, dividing the kingdom. Parents want the best for their children and will give them wise counsel that may not be what they want to hear. However, we all should listen to the wisdom of our pastor, elders and parents who have our best interest in mind.

  24. 7 The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

What strikes me in verse 7 is the word “honeycomb” ….. honeycomb is the Word of God, which is nourishment to our souls; filling our spiritual bellies daily. It’s sweetness satisfies the hungry soul…. continually!

  25. Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We don’t know what tomorrow may hold, so we should have a humble attitude towards the future.

    James 4:13-16 Voice
[13] Listen carefully, those of you who make your plans and say, “We are traveling to this city in the next few days. We’ll stay there for one year while our business explodes and revenue is up.” [14] The reality is you have no idea where your life will take you tomorrow. You are like a mist that appears one moment and then vanishes another. [15] It would be best to say, “If it is the Lord’s will and we live long enough, we hope to do this project or pursue that dream.” [16] But your current speech indicates an arrogance that does not acknowledge the One who controls the universe, and this kind of big talking is the epitome of evil.

  26. 19 As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.

“Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Your actions and words will reveal what’s in your heart which reveals who you are.

    That’s why this is an important prayer to pray everyday;

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  27. Proverbs 27:9
The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.

Jesus is our Wonderful Counselor who always prays for us; there is simply no counselor in this world like Him. Through His salvation, we can be with Him forever. What a wonderful counselor indeed!
The Hebrew word for “wonderful counselor” is pele-yoez. The first term (pele) means “a miracle, a marvel, a wonder” which indicates “something extraordinary, incomprehensible, inexplicable.” The second term (yoez) means “to advise, counsel, devise, purpose.

Proverbs 18:24 (KJV) A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Jesus is the greatest friend of all.

    Romans 5:8
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

    1 John 3:1
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.

    John 15:12-16
[12]This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.
[13]There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
[14]You are my friends if you do what I command.
[15]I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.
[16]You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.

Isaiah 53:5 (KJV) But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

    John 3:16
For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

    Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

    Thank you Jesus

  28. “Faithful are the wounds of a friend [who corrects out of love and concern], But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful [because they serve his hidden agenda].”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Sometimes a hard lesson to learn but I thank God For teaching me how a true friend behaves. If I count you as a friend, I respect that you won’t go silent when we both know I’m doing something out of the ordinary. I respect that you love me enough to tell me about myself. And as a friend to others, I pray I fill that role and don’t look the other way. I pray I can come from a place of love and be a true friend

  29. 15 A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.

16 Whosoever hideth her hideth the wind, and the ointment of his right hand, which bewrayeth itself.

    THE MESSAGE

    A nagging spouse is like
    the drip, drip, drip of a leaky faucet;
    You can’t turn it off,
and you can’t get away from it.

Huh. It all makes sense now. Reason# 564,112

  30. “Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceiful.” Proverbs 27:6

I used to have a friend that would ask my opinion of things, and I would say do you want the truth or a fairy tale? She would often say never mind! She already knew the right answer but wanted my blessing in her doing wrong, which I would not do. I respect anyone telling me the truth if they think I am not doing what they thihk is right. Some people will tell you what you want to hear, quickly avoid these people! The truth shall set you free!
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  31. 2 “Don’t call attention to yourself; let others do that for you.”

I can remember as a student if you had to say you were cool, you were actually in fact, not cool. Seems to be the same logic can be applied today. If you are constantly having to tell others you are holy, it would seem your actions are not matching your words.

It would seem if your acted on the words you were saying, you wouldn’t have to say as much.

Simply put, Live Jesus and allow others to speak about the Jesus within you!

  32. Proverbs 27:8, “As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.”

Wander means to walk or move in a leisurely, casual, or an aimless way – no purpose, no focus, no direction, no goal. It also means to ramble without definite purpose or objective – roam, rove, putter, drift, etc…
A birds nest is his home; his security; his place of safety. If he is out there just wandering around, roaming, drifting about on the wind, to far from his home and place of safety, it puts him in danger of being attacked or destroyed.
The same holds true for man. God has called us, chosen us, and given us a purpose and place in Him. Our place in Him is a place of security and safety. Yet, if we start wandering around, roaming, drifting about to far from our place in Him, it puts us in danger of being attack or possible spiritual death.

Stay in the Nest. Stay in your Place in God. As we usually say, “Stay In The Boat.”

  33. “Know the state of your flocks, and put your heart into caring for your herds,”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

All throughout this chapter it tells of the importance of being a friend and having friends to help each other. We should take a new believer under our wing and be a friend to them by knowing the state or situation they’re in. We do that by healing their hurts, meeting their needs and build their dreams. This can only be done through a close friendship.

  34. 24 For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?

The riches we have on this earth have no worth compared to the riches in heaven. The Bible speaks about the beautiful things up in heaven. And this earth cannot begin to provide those things. But the best treasure is the never ending sound of praises to Him!

  35. 1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

Tomorrow is not promised for us. So let us give our very best to Him now! Seek Him while you still can and have life to do so. Many have lost that chance and have entered into eternity. Tomorrow might be too late! Thank you Jesus for today and the now we have. All will vanish, but our lives that are founded in Him will live forever.

“Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.”
    ‭‭James‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

  36. 17 As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.
18 As workers who tend a fig tree are allowed to eat the fruit, so workers who protect their employer’s interests will be rewarded.
    Proverbs 27:17-18 NLT

Many people God has brought into are life’s are the people he knew he could trust to help turn you into his direction, to help you make the right decisions. Just like pastor and the leaders in the church, they are with God, the Lord fills them with his wisdom and his spirit and they all work to get closer to the Lord. As the children of the Lord, let us work together help each other through rough times, help each other get closer to the Lord. As we do the Lord uses each of us to be the light in someone’s life, to guide them to him. Be thankful unto the Lord for he has blessed you in many wonderful ways and used you in many ways!

  37. 23 Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.

As someone with goats, I am learning the importance of watching closely our herd. As a fellow teacher, I am learning how to see changes in our class, that flock. I can only imagine as a Pastor, to know the state of that flock, and how they are, is quite a bit larger weight.
One slip up at the farm, and you could loose half the herd to a troublesome K9. If they are not in good health, they won’t reproduce properly. Parasites can even cause them to become susceptible to illnesses or even death. I can see many similarities with the church on that too…

  38. “As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Let’s reach out for one another. Encourage one another. Help one another and reflect God‘s love towards each other. As children of God let’s come together in unity with no fear and no doubt. Worship the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind. That we love one another as Jesus lay down His life for all of us.

  39. 3 Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.

24 For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?

We should be diligent to know the status of what we have. In other words be a good steward of it. likewise with the state of our spiritual lives. Where are we have we taken inventory of what all needs to be there?

  40. “As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person. Just as Death and Destruction are never satisfied, so human desire is never satisfied. Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but a person is tested by being praised.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:19-21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The desires of flesh and for sin. The Lord tests our faith and endurance for his name. The flesh is like a weapon for the devil let’s resist and stay strong in these final days.

  41. 1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

I love all of these words of wisdom throughout the proverbs. I have always chuckled as we would try to make plans for the following day and my mother-in-law would agree with “if the Lord willing”.

6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

Again, wise. It hurts to be hurt or wounded by a friend, however, a friend would hopefully mean it for your better good. Whereas, we should be careful or watch out when an enemy compliments and overly flatters us. What is their agenda?? It is better to be hurt by a friend than adored by an enemy.

27 And thou shalt have goats’ milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.

  42. 19 As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person. (NLT)

We need to look and reflect on our lives and the things that we need to change about ourselves to fit the word of God more closely and to make sure that we don’t have sin in our lives that would not please God.

  43. 1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

    Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

We have enough things in front of us today to worry about tomorrow, we are not promised tomorrow, that is why we must do everything each day in his kingdom and be ready. Paul said he died daily, and that is what we need to do in this day. Tomorrow very well might be to late.

  44. 24 For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?

One must not focus just on riches. It will only last for a moment. We must keep our focus on the one who died for our sins. Our work to do in the kingdom is not finished. We must continue to press forward even in hard times. In our hard times, God will give us strength. I’m thankful for a God who cares and always look after his people.

  45. In this chapter I think it was trying to tell us about bragging. Bragging is not something we should do intentionally. We should not boast about the things we may have. Sometimes people may not really be into what you are bragging about and that may cause you to lose people in life. Let’s all be grateful and thankful for what we have and know that God loves us!❤️

  46. 6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

Those that are closest too you can hurt you the most. The same ones can teach you the toughest lessons through those hurts. Some of these hurts are the ones that shape us into Gods will. We must pray for wisdom and decrement to know when we are being molded or damaged.

  47. Proverbs Chapter 27

1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

We are not to boast. It is filled with self pride and pride goes before a fallI. We boast we boast in the Lord. We do not know what a day will bring forth.

Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Jas 4:15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

  48. “Even though you pound a [hardened, arrogant] fool [who rejects wisdom] in a mortar with a pestle like grain, Yet his foolishness will not leave him.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:22‬ ‭AMP‬‬
I can never change the way a person wants to live, only our GOD can do that. when we get into the word Of God, it’s by His word that we are changed. His word begins to wash your stinkin’ thinking away. Blinders will begin to fall off of your eyes ,chains are broken, ways of living life your own way is no longer an option.

“My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭2:1-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  49. 17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

We need to be stronger and United now more than ever.

  50. 23 Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.

    Galatians 4:19
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

Oh what a powerful church we would have in this last day revival if each of us would seethe church as a pastor sees the church. With eyes of a Shepard and pray for each disciple til Christ is formed in them and then intercede until Christ is flowing out of them.

This is Jesus squared He must be in us but we can’t stop He must also be a continuous flow out of us.

  51. 27 And thou shalt have goats’ milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.

I have read THE whole BIBLE several times!!! Not once did I notice this verse!!!
I have heard that goats milk is good for human consumption and believed it, but now that I have read it in my DADDY’S WORD, I SURELY BELIEVE IT!!!

  52. “Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Our hard work doesn’t go unrewarded. God allows for us to be blessed when we work. Just be like in the natural you get something when you work, there can also be a spiritual reward. Try he more you are around something the more you can be blessed by it, through it, and because of it.

  53. He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him

When we’re blessing people let it be done in secret and the Lord will return the blessing. If we tell if how we’ve blessed people it will come back to us as a curse.

  54. “As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person. Just as Death and Destruction are never satisfied, so human desire is never satisfied.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:19-20‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/pro.27.19-20.nlt
Sin is never ending no matter what we do once we taste the bitter sweet taste of sin you will always crave for more and more you will never feel the satisfaction filling an empty void with sin the only thing that you can be filled with to fill a void is the Holy Ghost

  55. 17As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.

A good friend encourages you and support me you. A friend is there with positive words, and with Godly words.

  56. 20 Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.

Have you ever looked at your pay check and said: “I get paid enough!”

I think you can ask anyone and they would all prob say no. From the least to the most well off, we would love to make more.

I think this principle is what it teaches.

The flesh in sin will never be satisfied, the devil will never stop

Just as much as the church will never stop and we will keep pressing towards the mark. Let’s let the Spirit of God lead us.
