Proverbs 28

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.

A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.

They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.

Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.

Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.

He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.

11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.

13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

14 Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.

16 The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.

17 A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.

18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

19 He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.

20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

21 To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.

22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

24 Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.

25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat.

26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

  1. 9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

If one will not hear and obey God‘s law, God will not hear his prayers. Actually his prayer is hateful to God.

I may as well kneel down and worship gods of stone as offer to the living God a prayer of words alone.

  2. Verse 10 CEV “By leading good people to sin, you dig a pit for yourself, but all who live right will have a bright future.” God will turn things around! Verse 18 CEV “Honesty will keep you safe, but everyone who is crooked will suddenly fall.” Stay committed, stay strong and trust in the Lord. Romans 8:28 AMP “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”

  3. 27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

Be a JOYFUL GIVER!!!! Also be a silent giver!!! What is the use to give if you have to go parade yourself showing everyone what you have done. Matthew 6:3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
But one thing for sure give don’t close your eyes to those in need, help, be kind, be humble, have compassion, and love for the fellow men.
Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
If there is one thing people remember me by I hope it is that, my willingness to serve with love and joy those around me. For their is no greater honor than to have a servant Spirit like Jesus!!!! Please Lord show us the Joy that comes with meekness and servitude, show us to be like you in Jesus Name Amen

  4. 9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

When you live the way you want to, you have no regard for anything except for what will make you happy in your own self. When you live to please the world, everything you do may or may not be successful, but it lacks God and you will eventually fall without grace. I have learned over the years that when you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, you will be blessed beyond measure and doors will be opened for you. If God is not in what we do, then eventually doors begin to close because you will eventually fall from the favor of man and be ready to spend eternity in torment. When we focus our life with God at the center, we are more rich than the richest man in the world.

Salvation, grace, and the love of God is far more precious than any silver, gold, or any prestige that a man can have. It’s up to each of us to find that relationship with God or we will seek something that will be our downfall. We have the greatest opportunity to live Jesus in a time where Jesus needs to be the answer. We have to be able to give Jesus when the opportunity presents itself.

  5. Thank you Jesus Christ for today , hallelujah mighty God great God . Hollowed be thy name let us follow and obey his voice in Jesus name

  6. He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough. I believe that this means lazy vs focused on being responsible

  7. 18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

Above all else you must be saved. Acts 2:40 says to save yourselves from this untoward generation and this is such a time where we must keep our eyes on God and be His light.

  8. 2. When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily. But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability.

    15. A wicked ruler is as dangerous to the poor as a roaring lion or an attacking bear.

    16. A ruler with no understanding will oppress his people, but one who hates corruption will have a long life. NLT

Pray for our nation and its leaders! We need a nation-wide revival in America right now!

  9. He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered

This is why it’s so important to pray the Breastplate of Righteousness over our hearts. Let HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS be what protects us from our temporary emotions and thoughts of the heart. Let’s weigh our hearts against HIS WORD so that it can dissect the intentions of our hearts.

  10. He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough. I believe that this means lazy vs focused on being responsible.Justice makes no sense to the evilminded;
those who seek God know it inside and out. I believe evilminded people should not be involved with justice at all. There is nothing about justice that pertains to ungodly people

  11. Prov. 28:14 Happy is the man that feareth always, But he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
Prov. 9: 10 The fear of Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the [ Holy One] is understanding.
The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear. He is my strength of my life. I do fear the Lord.
Dont hardeneth your hearts , Put your trust in the Lord.
Because the fear of a man brings a snare; But who so ever will put there trust in the Lord shall be safe.
    Thank you Jesus.

  12. 23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

While it may seem better to have your feelings pandered or to someone proverbially pat you on the back, it is better to be redirected. Oftentimes the hardest route is the most necessary And the one with the least resistance ends up being the most painful. Christian’s must learn to trade comfortability for correction. The way things have been going recently it is important that we stand firm in the gospel.

How true that a friend or a good leader would care enough that they will lead you in the right direction. Even when it may hurt we can know assured they want what is best for us in the Kingdom.

  14. 12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

It is better to confess your sins to God then to live in poverty. Sin is what separates us from God.

  15. Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.

6 Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

    • Brittany I am so glad you are daily hiding the word in your heart . Allowing God to lead your life .
Keep reading and believing God’s word .
He will open your understanding more and more .

    • So in Proverbs Chapter 28 verses 5-12 it’s talking about how Men Do not Understand Judgement and all things and Men are evil and bad and in Verse 6 it’s telling me that it’s does not matter if you are rich or poor but if you walk in Jesus’s righteousness footsteps you could preserve in his ways

  16. Proverbs 28
    A tenderhearted person lives a blessed life;
a hardhearted person lives a hard life.

In marriage counseling we call this stonewalling .
Hard hearted ;my way or no way . Tender hearted is not about condoning sin or putting up with any abuse. But understanding that the broken person needs the touch of the Masters hand.
    Definition of tender hearted is
having a kind, gentle, or sentimental nature.
Empathy feeling what someone else is feeling .
I can’t even image some of the pain people have experienced in their life . But because of my own pain I can approach the lost with a spirit of gentleness .
But one of mild kind temperament. People were drawn to Jesus because of His gentle touch . Yet He was in great authority even over the elements of the earth obeyed Him. Gentle yet with authority Jesus Christ reached the broken .

    Matthew 8:27
The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

Too many times we allow our hearts to become hardened because of so many hurts. People live with high blood pressure and all types of sicknesses due to a hardened heart or a bitter angry spirit .
We have a world filled hardened hearts and the way we can reach them is to share the touch of the Shepherd . Lead and empathize with sincerity.
Keeping our hearts and minds pliable in the hands of God lest we become hardened.
God when life seems so unfair and we have so many questions help us to turn right to You . Help us to keep our hearts from hardening. You are such a great physician the greatest Heart Surgeon I know.

    Healing Hands
    Pick up your heart and
    Carry it to healing hands
There is no scar, no pain
    He won’t understand
Those broken dreams you’ve carried this far
    Need his touch to mend
    Pick up your heart and
    Carry it to healing hands
What brought you here to this time, to the place
Where your own strength has found its end
And the load that you bear is too heavy to carry
Come bring it all to Him
For the souls that know surrender
He is gracious to hold us so tightly
    Pick up your heart and
    Carry it to healing hands
There is no scar, no pain
    He won’t understand
Those broken dreams you’ve carried this far
    Need his touch to mend
    Pick up your heart and
    Carry it to healing hands

    • Ezekiel 36:26
      King James Version
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

  17. “Evil people don’t understand justice, but those who follow the Lord understand completely.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In this world there is people who are simply evil or wicked , and they don’t understand justice. They don’t understand the principles of Justice or how to apply it for themselves, because their minds are naturally blind on their own prejudice and passions by the evil of this world that rules over them.

But those who seek the Lord, fear the Lord, and have His wisdom, understand justice.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.” (Psalm 89:14).

God sets the standard for love and holiness, He also sets the standard for justice. In the biblical way means WE FOLLOW GOD’S WAY to make right that which is wrong.
If we look at the life of Jesus and follow the scripture, it is clear that we are called to take action and control evil, to care for the vulnerable and to make right that which is wrong.
Justice is not a social or cultural way, or something new in today’s society. In the Old and New Testament OUR CALL TO DO JUSTICE IS CLEAR.

Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute, (Psalm 82:3).

Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, and please the widow’s cause, (Isaiah 1:17).

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
    (Micah 6:8).

But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others (Luke 11:42).

If WE the church are fueled by the compassion of Christ, we engage in the issues of injustice protecting the vulnerable, fight for those held in oppression, walking alongside the wounded and pointing them to the One who heals, restore and redeem.

  18. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
MY KEY TO VICTORY IN JESUS

13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

To the righteous, sin brings shame. Shame is not an attribute of GOD but of the flesh. The shame of sin causes man to “cover up” transgressions, thereby causing a pause in growth, increase and advancements. But, to confess and forsake sin is the pathway to the Mercy of GOD.

Recognizing the Mercy of GOD is the antidote to shame. JESUS gave HIS life so that we could live in HIS Mercy and understand MY KEY TO VICTORY IN JESUS.

When we acknowledge and forsake sin we disarm the adversary from accusation and the flesh from shame. Today lets Live JESUS by confessing our sin to HIM and not attempt to hide it from the eyes of the LORD that see everything.

  19. 26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

    The Message

    If you think you know it all, you’re a fool for sure;
real survivors learn wisdom from others.

  20. Proverbs 28:14 AMP
“Blessed and favored by God is the man who fears [sin and its consequence] at all times, But he who hardens his heart [and is determined to sin] will fall into disaster.”
    ‭‭
To be blessed and favored by God is a lifetime of choosing every day to follow Him and His commandments. If you make a conscious decision to continue to sin you will fall into disaster.

  21. “He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, But whoever confesses and turns away from his sins will find compassion and mercy.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

You can run but you can’t hide. It is not a good thing to hide your sin from god. He already knows about it because he sees and knows all. Sin separates us from him. This is why repentance is so important. We must build an alter before god and repent daily. God is a forgiving god and he loves us all we have to do is come to him and surrender. When we surrender we must leave it and not pick it back up.

  22. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat.

Why do children fight…why do parents fight…why do neighbors fight…why do coworkers fight…why do snowflakes fight…why does anyone fight…well the answer is right here in this ancient proverb, “a PROUD heart stirs up strife”. Wow, it’s just that simple. Pride is an horrible attribute that must be destroyed.

  23. 6 Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

7 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.

It is wise for us to keep Gods laws commandments. When we follow him and keep his word God watching over us.
His word will lead and guild us if we will let it.

  24. “Evil men do not understand justice, But they who long for and seek the LORD understand it fully.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

This is true. Hallelujah! As a church it is our responsibility to bring in souls that are lost, back into the KINGDOM of GOD.
Isn’t this our prayer for our family, neighbor, city, nation, and our world today? We can get so caught up in what our eyes see, what the heart feels, that if we are not careful ourselves we WILL get caught up in the chaos around us. So we as a body must stand on a strong foundation, the only solid rock WE(I) know.

There’s a people that are hungry for what we have, let’s share it with them.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  25. 14 Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

To me this fear is the fear of the Lord and is the beginning of wisdom. When we have great respect for God and his word we will be shapeable and moldable in his hands; we allow him to lead and guide us. But a hard heart only wants their ways which could be the path to destruction. Fear God and keep all his commands and be happy in whatever state you find yourself in at the moment because we hold his unchanging hand.

  26. Proverbs 28:13, “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”

    “CONFESS & FORSAKE”
First of all, we can never really cover (conceal or hide) our sins, because we serve a God who is omniscient – He knows all things – and He see all things (Prov. 15:3, “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”).
Secondly, we have to do more than just CONFESS (admit, acknowledge, declare, etc…) our sins to God (and yes, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9), BUT we must FORSAKE (give them up, abandon, leave behind, turn away from, REPENT) our sins. When we CONFESS & FORSAKE our sins, then God will show His MERCY to us.

    CONFESS + FORSAKE = MERCY!!

    Isaiah 55:6-7 says…
    6) Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near;
    7) Let the wicked FORSAKE his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have MERCY upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Thank You JESUS for Your MERCY!!

  27. “Those who set aside the law [of God and man] praise the wicked, But those who keep the law [of God and man] struggle with them. Evil men do not understand justice, But they who long for and seek the LORD understand it fully.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:4-5‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I love the Law of the Lord. I want to apply the truth to every area of my life. I want to long and seek Lord more and more each day!

“But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:2-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  28. 1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Why are Holy Ghost filled people so intimidated by people? We should boldly declare the goodness of the Lord to us, boldly declare His great love toward all man kind and boldly declare the miracle of salvation in each of our lives.

It is a trick of the enemy to bring intimidation into our lives so that we don’t share with others. We are called to be light to darkness, hope to the hopeless and bring joy to the sad.

It’s time to rise up with a holy boldness and declare the goodness of the Lord to everyone we meet. We never know who is praying for someone to share Jesus with them.

  29. 1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

We need to be bold like lions , we need to lead the backsliders back home . We need to show them that they have a purpose in this world and God is calling them. God is using us to bring his people back home, but if we aren’t bold and if we aren’t strong in our walk with God then how are we to do so.

  30. Proverbs 28:13
People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.

    1 John 1:9
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

    Acts of the Apostles 3:19
Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.

    1 Peter 2:24
He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.

  31. Proverbs 28:1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

A clear conscience is needed for confident living and spiritual boldness.

Be bold in the Holy Ghost.

Psalm 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

  32. “God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

One who turns his ear from hearing the law:

God wants us to always have an open and attentive ear towards His word . To have no hunger for God’s word or to give it no attention is a sign of spiritual sickness in the child of God.

  33. “He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17:7, 9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

After reading these scriptures it dawned on me how dangerous the saying “Follow your heart” is. Our heart will mess us up every time. Our heart will have us searching for what we feel is right rather than doing what we know is right. We can’t serve two masters, so we either follow our heart or follow Christ. I pray we choose to follow Christ in every situation

  34. 5Evil people don’t understand justice, but those who follow the LORD understand completely.

Criminals don’t care about laws or rules, they break laws. They don’t care about being caught or the consequences. But the righteous fear the law, and are afraid to break rules, and don’t want to face the consequences. They obey laws and obey God.

  35. “Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.” Proverbs 28:10

When a person seems as if they are getting away with stealing, cheating or just being corupt; they will eventually be caught. They try to lead others in their path so they may not feel alone. If not caught right away, God’s wrath will fall on them! The saying that parents used to say to their children like; if your friends jump off a bridge, would you?
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  36. 22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

24 Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.

  37. 25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat.

26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

The Lord does not like when we are prideful about things to others. When we put our trust in Him, He will provide everything we need.

  38. 23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

Though a pat on the back may feel better, correction done out of love is better for your soul!

“Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  39. 10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.

God will take care of his people. When others come against you, there is no need to worry. God has always taken care of his people and he always will. The enemy would love for you to believe that God can’t do it, but I encourage you, he can. My God can do all things.

  40. 26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

This verse sets the record straight on the infamous term “follow your heart.” It leaves room for misinterpretation such as going wherever your feeling take you. That is a dangerous place to be. It could suggest that flesh is more important than wisdom. The truth is that if our head is right with God then our heart will be also. What we store up in our heart will be evident by what we think and say. Therefore, what is on the inside of a man will be evident on the outside as well. The best poker face cannot fool God, instead then deceitful will be displayed for their foolishness. It’s better to be a man after Gods own heart and head focused on His will. They that walk in that wisdom will find Him and he delivered from the wicked. We don’t need to “find ourselves” we simply need to find Jesus! That is we’re our deliverance is found.

  41. In this chapter it was talking about rich and poor. When the rich bride and brag, the poor beg. We have to know what we have and be grateful for it! In some places propels don’t get to know about God. This really hurts my heart because if people don’t know about Him how will they fix their ways? We have to take this into consideration and really think about it how blessed we are! We are truly blessed and highly favored to have this wonderful church and the people in it! I am truly blessed to be born in the church. Not all people have the chance to be born in church. But I am glad that we are all here now in a grateful state in a relationship with God. I just want you to know that you are truly blessed in your highs and lows God will forever be with you! I want you to know that he’s never leaving cause he loves you so to death you’ll be loved!

  42. 13 People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.
    Proverbs 28:13 NLT

See you can try every little thing you think of to try and hide from your sins or even run from them to not face what you know you did wrong. But God knows and sees everything, you cannot hide from the Lord. It is better for us to show the Lord we know we messed up and go confess to him and ask for forgiveness, than it is to lie and hide. After we mess up and we know how we did it wrong or what made us sin, we must turn away from it never go back to it for it won’t change from bad to good. Sin is sin. Blessed are those who confess and are faithful unto the Lord, let us be true and honest unto the Lord for he is with us.

  43. 1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

It is through and by the Holy Ghost that we obtain this boldness. The strength and security that we actually can do all things through Christ. It not by our means whether strength or intelligence but by the Spirit of God. He enables us. He gives us the words to say at the right moment. He empowers us. He gives us the boldness.

  44. 13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

First we have to confess. Many people do this easily. What most people fail to do is to forsaketh their sins. Forsaketh, the eth, means continually. They have to continually forsake their sins to have the mercy mentioned here..

  45. The price of the truth

23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

It’s not easy to tell someone they are wrong in their ways. It is much easier to let it go and keep peace. We are taught that peace is priceless and we should strive for it but not at all cost. If You could save a life by offending it first, wouldn’t it be worth it? A true friend will tell you the truth even if it hurts you. The truth is never cheap and it comes with a price that few are willing to pay but it is worth it.

  46. 4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.

We have to decide who’s team we are on. Who are we fighting for? When we forsake the word of God er are fighting the fight with the enemy but when we keep the word we are contending with them. We are linked arm to arm with righteous believers past and present to expand His Kingdom

  47. “To reject the law is to praise the wicked; to obey the law is to fight them.”
    Proverbs 28:4 NLT

Sin is the transgression of the law, as we learned today. When commit sin we also commit lawlessness in our life. lawlessness brings disobedience and disconnects us from God. But because of God‘s grace and mercy, when he died at the cross for our transgressions. He Has gives us a chance to strengthen our lives. To live Jesus we got to be obedient to His commandments and follow through.

  48. Proverbs 28:1

“The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This Scripture means that, When The World has no Hope. We should be the one to tell People The Good News and not be afraid of this World and let them know about Salvation which is Repent and Be Baptized In The Name Of Jesus and Ye shall Receive The Gift Of The Holy Ghost.

  49. “When the godly succeed, everyone is glad. When the wicked take charge, people go into hiding. People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:12-13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We are the godly church. When the church shut down the word did too. When we don’t put Christ in everyday live and country then we will not succeed because God is the one and true winning God.

  50. “The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What are you running from? There are some people who are so skidding that they are always running from their shadow. They seem to be scared of every little thing. These people don’t have Jesus on their side.—if God is for us who can be against us? The enemy comes as a lion seeking who he may devour.

Jesus gives us himself that allows us to be bold through it all.—be bold, be strong for God is with you. The Holy Ghost makes you bold.

  51. 6 Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

It is good to be poor and have JESUS , than to be rich and not have JESUS. Bit what about if we have JESUS and money….. is it better or is it worse? I guess everything has its pros and cons. I think that many times money hinders from growing in obedience to the WORD OF GOD and other times, said riches may be the key to a kingdom minded goal, a mission or a project .

  52. 23 “In the end, people appreciate honest criticism far more than flattery.”

There is a significant difference between real and fake.

For example if you are on the market for a pair of shoes. You could go to the wal-mart and get a cheap pair of shoes. They will look cute, feel nice, and even function as a shoe but the shoes doesn’t last long.

If you purchase a more expensive shoe, it may look a little nicer, be made with nicer materials, and still function as a shoe but last longer due to the work put into it.

Giving us the understanding you get what you pay for. There is nothing wrong with having the cheaper alternative, however to have something that lasts you are going to need effort.

In REAL relationships there is criticism and flattery, and you get what you pay for.

  53. 5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.

This makes so much sense. I have been at work before and someone told me to break a rule or do something we should know better to not do, and when you explain that you don’t want to do it or don’t feel comfortable because it is wrong, they don’t understand. Often the reply is, “No one will know if you do or not!” Obviously, I still wouldn’t and then they don’t understand that we will pay for our actions. Even in breaking it down or explaining it, I’ve heard “oh, you’re a good person and I can’t live to that standard,” or “I don’t believe in that stuff.” Hard to explain a conviction to someone who doesn’t believe.

  54. “People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/pro.28.13.nlt
“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Just times as this we must stay in repentance for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. Whatever it is that’s holding you back or pulling you down from your walk with God you gotta cut it’s head off and keep pressing. Just like the olive seed you gotta crush a lot of those to get the oil. Well you gotta crush a lot of demons to keep the oil.
