Proverbs 29

He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.

The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.

A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.

In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.

The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.

If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.

10 The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

12 If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.

13 The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the Lord lighteneth both their eyes.

14 The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever.

15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.

17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.

18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

19 A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.

20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

21 He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.

22 An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.

23 A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

24 Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.

25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

26 Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the Lord.

27 An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

  1. 27The righteous despise the unjust; the wicked despise the godly.

A true statement, the unrighteousness don’t want nothing to do with righteousness. They don’t want to hear about God, and ridicule you about your faith in God. But eventually a time will come, when they realize there is a God, and start living for him. They have to learn, have faith and trust in God. They rely on there own riches, and believe they don’t need anything from anyone.

Revelation 3:17You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

  2. 18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

The Bible states that where there is no vision the people perish. When looking at the Hebrew meaning of the word vision,

    châzôn

a sight (mentally), that is, a dream, revelation, or oracle: – vision.

When we come to God, we have to get a true revelation of who He is in our own salvation. We have to see Him as he truly is. We have to begin to search and find the knowledge of the power and authority of God and how we can utilize the name of God which is Jesus in our situations and circumstances. There is only one God and father of all who is above all through all and in us all. We have to be able to know His spirit to know the power there of. So without the revelation of who Jesus is, that is how we are caught in the snare of sin and we perish because we don’t know God at all. Sin can destroy the very essence of God in our life and we have to understand that if we choose sin then we will not have room for God. We have to decrease so that God may be able to increase in us. It is a choice that we have to make and it is a heaven or hell issue because we will either be with God in eternity or we will spend eternity in Hell. So I choose to live Jesus so I can give Jesus to the lost.

  3. 11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

The idea of allowing anger to break out in an undisciplined manner by saying or doing whatever comes into mind without weighing the consequences, without counting ten, with out holding it back and quieting it ,without hearing The Whole story is totally wrong.

    A.L.M.A.S.

  4. “Correct your children, and they will be wise; children out of control disgrace their mothers.

If you correct your children, they will bring you peace and happiness.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:15, 17‬ ‭CEV‬‬

As a parent that continues to pray for their children, one day to see the fruit in their lives.

“Teach your children right from wrong, and when they are grown they will still do right.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭22:6‬ ‭CEV

  5. 23 A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

It’s important to daily check our attitude and spirit; they can easily determine our outcome.

  6. Verse 1 MSG “For people who hate discipline and only get more stubborn, There’ll come a day when life tumbles in and they break, but by then it’ll be too late to help them.” Same verse CEV “If you keep being stubborn after many warnings, you will suddenly discover you have gone too far.” So many Proverbs that have been captioned “Warnings and Instructions” and sermons that we have heard about Resisting the Resistance; so, we are wise to heed the warnings!

Verse 9 MSG “A sage trying to work things out with a fool gets only scorn and sarcasm for his trouble.” Same verse AMP “If a wise man has a controversy with a foolish and arrogant man, The foolish man [ignores logic and fairness and] only rages or laughs, and there is no peace (rest, agreement).” There is no time to waste and no room for unrest!

Verse12 MSG “When a leader listens to malicious gossip, all the workers get infected with evil.” This reminds me of a skit we did back at the South Campus, where 2 teens had on white T-shirts (one clean and white as snow; but, the other with dark black evil/sinful stains) on and 1 teen began to partake in the evil that the other was doing. Suddenly the stains began to rub onto the other teen and he too was now infected with evil. Don’t do IT!

Verse 18 MSG “If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.” Heed the warnings and attend to what God’s will is and not mans.

Verse 27 MSG “Good people can’t stand the sight of deliberate evil; the wicked can’t stand the sight of well-chosen goodness.” Same verse VOICE “The right-living are disgusted by the actions of the unjust; likewise, the wicked are disgusted by the ways of the righteous.”

  7. 6 In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.

7 The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

8 Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.

9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.

10 The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

  8. Prov. 29: 18 Where there is no vision , the people perish; But he keepers the law , happy is he.
Ps. 19: 8 The statutes of the Lord are right , rejoicing the heart; is commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
[9] The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
The Bible speaks if we dont have no vision are not going to be happy.
The law of the Lord is convering the soul.
The testimony of Lord is sure , making wise is sure.
The Lord give us a great vision and a purpose to serve him.
Follow his plan and his desires.
    Hallelujah praise God.

  9. So in Proverbs Chapter 29 verses 6-10 it’s telling me about what is sin and sin is the transgression of the law and when a man is evil there is a snare and then the wicked did not know the cause of the poor then the wise men brought the scornful men a city then so a wise men was with a foolish man and they told him there is no rest

  10. 25. The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

    Psalm 115:11
Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.

    Matthew 10:28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

    Psalm 118:8
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

  11. 22 An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.
23 A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

Pride has always been the fall of mankind. It’s been the wavering factor that stopped a man from doing what was right in the side of God. I’ve only been alive for 37 years but I don’t believe I’ve ever seen so much anger and hate in this world then I have recently. While anger is in and of itself a healthy thing it is pride that takes anger and leads him to destruction and sin. You must be mindful of where our emotions and pride are going and learn how to redirect ourselves to that narrow path where God honors the humble in spirit

  12. 29:26 many seek the rulers favor, but every man’s
    Justice cometh from the Lord.
    —-
    The word of God says:
Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in him
    And be will do.
It’s in the Lords hands everything i do.
Your will be done and not mine
I present the need, the dilemma, the plan…
Knowing with confidence that the Lord is in control
And that his reign is in everything that happens around me and to me.
    —-
Yes, the devil did that to Job( but God aloud it, he
Already had a plan for him…).
I will lift my eyes into the hills
From where does my help come from?
My held comes from the Lord
    Who made heaven and earth.
I seek Gods goodness, Gods Favor. Then he is s the
One who makes every situation work.
    In Jesus name, hallelujah 🙃.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  13. Thank you Jesus Christ for today , hallelujah mighty God . Let your will be done in Jesus name

  14. 24 Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not.
    MSG
“Befriend an outlaw and become an enemy to yourself. When the victims cry out, you’ll be included in their curses if you’re a coward to their cause in court.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:24‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I take this as even association with someone breaking the law or sinning… makes you just as guilty.

  15. “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I can think of many places of authority. Work and school are hat I would like to touch in today., as for me they are one in the same. When I go to work I know that when the principal is good, it makes a difference. I have been at schools where the principal was good and I have been at schools where the principal is not good. Leadership takes a toll on everyone. The whole school atmosphere is different children, staff, and community members can all learn, teach, and interact better together when there is good leadership.

When the Leadership is bad., everyone is scared for what’s going to happen next. Community members stop helping. Teachers are in fear of keeping their jobs. Children don’t learn adequately because they are constantly worried about other issues.

I know this example can be placed from setting to setting and career to career. It’s because it’s biblical truth. Leadership makes a difference no matter what setting it is applied.

  16. “Evil people are trapped by sin, but the righteous escape, shouting for joy.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

A person may be evil in his or hers character , but yet is his or her actual acts of transgression that ruin him or her. Most evil people think they are celebrating life and freedom through their transgression, but it will be a trap and a snare to them.

  17. 25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
26 Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the Lord.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Trust in the Lord with all thy mind soul and strength and he will give you peace.

  18. Proverbs 29
18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

    Psalms 37
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Where there is no vision the people perish. We must not allow the things of this world to dim our eyes. We must hold fast to God’s commandments . His truth will not grow dim if we continue to hold fast to the revealed Word of God.

  19. Proverbs 29:20 AMP
“Do you see a [conceited] man who speaks quickly [offering his opinions or answering without thinking]? There is more hope for a [thickheaded] fool than for him.”
    ‭‭
Even a wise person may become foolish by speaking too quickly. Choose your words wisely. I think before you speak.

  20. “Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained; But happy and blessed is he who keeps the law [of God].”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

If you aren’t in his will you will not make it to heaven. We must not allow the things of this world to detour us from god. We must constantly be seeking the kingdom first. We are in this world but not of it. We are to live a righteous life and keep his commandments. We must examine ourselves and see if we have taken a detour away from god and if we have we must get back on the right path and seek his kingdom because our goal is to make it to heaven. We can’t allow things to distract us. We must keep our eye on the prize.

  21. Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul…..this is the best medicine I could have this morning because this I did right and my son is a delight!

  22. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
This proverb is flooded with wisdom. One of the reoccurring themes is leadership. A father leading his son, a king leading the people, the righteous leading, and the unrighteous leading. Thank You Jesus for the Word of the Lord. Lead us Lord through these different seasons of our times.

  23. Proverbs 29:6, “In the transgression (sin, wrongdoing, wickedness, disobedience, etc…) of an evil man there is a snare (trap, pitfall, web, etc…): but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.”

Proverbs 29:6 (VOICE), “An evil person is sure to be trapped by his sin, but a man who lives right is free to sing and be glad.”

A man who transgresses, who sins – does wrong – is wicked – is disobedient, will fall into the snare and trap of the devil,
    BUT
For the person who lives right, who has sought forgiveness – has Repented – been Baptized in Jesus Name – been filled with the Holy ghost – and living according to God’s Word, is Free and can Sing and Rejoice in God because of His Mercy and Grace.

Trapped by sin or Free to Sing and be Glad (Rejoice)?
    It’s a choice.

Today JESUS I choose to Sing and be Glad and Rejoice in YOU!!

  24. Proverbs 29:25
Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the lord means safety.

The books of Psalms and Proverbs offer strong reminders of what this source is. Proverbs observes, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe” (18:10). And Psalms promises: “The Lord is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge” (94:22). So our security is sourced solely in God. Daniel was safe in a den of hungry lions.
The Bible’s record covers thousands of years and provides vivid examples of those who trusted in God and were protected from the elements, from armed enemies, injustice, even death. Daniel was safe in a den of hungry lions; David escaped King Saul’s efforts to kill him; three Hebrew men were unharmed even in an über-hot furnace; Ruth was cared for while facing an uncertain future; and Paul was protected in the thick of an angry mob. Daniel was an honest and upright man, justifiably favored by King Darius. Jealousy among other princes who were not so favored, led them to seek ways to undermine Daniel’s position. When they could find nothing against him, they beguiled the king into writing a decree that for a 30-day period, people could petition only to the king. Anyone who petitioned to any “God or man,” would be thrown into a den of lions. This meant that Daniel would be in danger if he prayed to God, but as his enemies expected, he was undeterred. They caught him in the act of prayer, and brought him to the king. The king, who loved Daniel, was forced to sentence him to the lions’ den by this decree. While in the den, Daniel continued to worship the one God—the giver and maintainer of all life. When the king found him still alive the next morning, Daniel explained: “My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt” (Daniel 6:22).
David escaped King Saul’s efforts to kill him; three Hebrew men were unharmed even in an über-hot furnace; Ruth was cared for while facing an uncertain future; and Paul was protected in the thick of an angry mob. When you  turn to God for safety you can find peace and calmness even in challenging situations. We are all safe in God. Christ comforts each of us no matter what we’re facing! Jesus promised this Comforter when he told his disciples: “I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever” (John 14:16). This Comforter assures us of God’s love for us and gives us an unshakable sense of safety. No one need be in the dark regarding what’s to be trusted. We can trust God. So when faced with a fearful situation, when feeling like you’re in a lions’ den or a fiery furnace, lean on God and his word. This will bring great comfort and the assurance that all is well.

  25. 17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.

As a teacher I met with many parents with new philosophy of parenting. Some that I heard are “we don’t say no to him we are trying to teach him to be positive”, or “ we don’t believe in spanking it is very traumatic to their spirit”, “we prefer for him to explore and learn for himself”. This children have grown up to do whatever they want, whenever they want, for they lived with never being corrected and walk among us with an attitude of entitlement. I believe children need correction and no is a word that teaches what can be dangerous to them. “Do not go to the streets, you will be hit by a car”. Teaches what is dangerous and why. “Stay in the sidewalk is safer” never gives a consequence and intrigues them to see what happens if they break the rules. Teaching our children is our responsibility not giving consequences teaches them to do whatever they want even above the law. Yesterday I read how a 12 and 13 year old girls killed a 15 year old girl at the Walmart in Louisiana this is a parenting issue people, nothing more nothing less. You can not allow children to go without correction and without supervision and that’s what the Bible says!!! We need to teach our children what is right and what is wrong! They need to know that there are behaviors that are just not acceptable. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 13:24 He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
Now, it does not says abuse your child, suppress him, or damage him in any way. It says CORRECT THEM. If you begin from the baby stage and teach them by the time they hit the horrible stage of teenagers (😂) they themselves know better and it is not as hard. I have encounter wonderful young people that have even taught me a thing or two, they were brought up with the guidance of the Bible!! That’s the best way to teach a child!!! May the Lord help all the parents of today make the right decision when bringing up a child in Jesus Name Amen 🙏🏻

  26. This chapter had three specific verses for leaders. That would be great life lessons for each of us to learn.

    1. Good Judgment Gives Stability
4 “A leader of good judgment gives stability; an exploiting leader leaves a trail of waste.” MSG

    2. Listen to the Facts
12 “When a leader listens to malicious gossip, all the workers get infected with evil.” MSG

    3. Treat Everyone Fairly
14 “Leadership gains authority and respect when the voiceless poor are treated fairly.” MSG

  27. AMP – 16 When the wicked are in authority, transgression increases,
But the righteous will see the downfall of the wicked.

God’s word is forever settled in heaven, and cannot lie. Therefore, we can have confidence that although the outlook for our nation is bleak at the moment, God sees everything including the deceitfulness and sickness that is abounding from the top authority down.

The righteous will see the downfall of the wicked. However, during this time of waiting, we must keep a good attitude, and do what is right and the christian thing to do in all areas. Honor those in authority, their position, whether we agree or disagree with their leadership, and let God do what He does best – be God and allow His word to come to life.

  28. 20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him

We should slow down and listen.
Listen to what people are saying and doing before we speak and respond

  29. 25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

26 Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the Lord.

27 An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

We must not fear what is to come, but trust in the Lord.

  30. 27 An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

    The Message

    Be generous to the poor—you’ll never go hungry;
shut your eyes to their needs, and run a gauntlet of curses.

    NLT
Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing,
but those who close their eyes to poverty will be cursed.

  31. “The man who loves wisdom brings joy to his father, but if he hangs around with prostitutes, his wealth is wasted.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Children of any age bring happiness to us parents when they love and live wisdom. It gives us parents a justified pride in our children and gives peace about our children’s future.

  32. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    WHAT IS SIN?

18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

WOW! What a powerful and revelatory WORD from the LORD on Wednesday. I am thankful for the understanding from studying to learn and for the opportunity to share it with GODS precious people. As I meditate on verse 18 here I see the principal again and see the fruit or benefit of happiness.

WHAT IS SIN? We learned on Wednesday the answer to this question.

1John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: FOR SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW.

Sin is the TRANSGRESSION of the LAW: BUT He that kept the LAW is HAPPY.

    HAPPY or sin?

It all hinges on our approach to and respect for the LAW.

    It begins with “NO VISION”

    VISION – 2377. chazown, khaw-zone´; from 2372; a sight (mentally), i.e. a dream, revelation, or oracle:—vision.

Where there is no VISION, PROPHESY or LAW to follow or keep the people perish. For this cause we need the LAW of GOD and the Guidance of a Pastor and the CHURCH. I am thankful for the structure that The CHURCH has afforded me and for my Pastor that has guided, guarded and instructed me. But importantly I am thankful for my Lord and Savior JESUS who has given me HIS LAW and HIS VISION in this I am HAPPY.

  33. 11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

It is not always necessary to say what comes to mind. Often times it is wiser to keep our mouth closed.

It is important that we practice self control not only when it comes to what we say, but also the thoughts that come to mind.

  34. 23 A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

    Proverbs 8:13 KJV
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Pride is a fleshly thing, it can get in the way of our relationship with God, He hates to see us put our own achievements above Him, it’s arrogant, we must (as the saying goes) “check ourselves before we wreck ourselves” and let Him be the one to see the good things we do!

  35. 2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

How much mourning do you hear in our country right now? Or in any country for that matter? In overall society?? All you hear is how different groups of people are upset, or offended over the way they are treated or looked at.

6 In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice.
7 The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.

But we must keep up our head. We must sing and rejoice towards the Almighty!! Keep our head held high and remember that we are children of the most high. We are chosen and we are not here for long, neither are we here for the purpose that those around us may think. We will make a difference, but not how the world would like to make their difference and mark.

  36. If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.
    Proverbs 29:12 KJV

Being a leader carries with it a great responsibility. Not only for the tasks you are overseer but for those that you lead and or look up to you. Your influence is powerful, whether for good or bad. It not just you that will be affected but all those that follow will be stained by your decisions and actions again whether they are good or bad.

  37. 11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

People that like to tell everything that’s on their mind, you must watch out for. They will try to convince you that their way is right. As the people of God, we have been given the truth. We cannot allow sin to overtake us. We must stand bold and stand strong.

  38. In this chapter I think it was trying to tell us to be carful about the propel we hang around. For example if we are hanging around someone disrespectful and ungrateful that might reflect back on us! We have to l is who and what we stand for…….JESUS!!!!!! A lot of people these days are not following Gods will and we have to look out for that. You might think someone left your life just because but God heard the conversations that you didn’t. God knows what’s best for every single one of us! His will may not be our will but it is the right will! Just know that you are good enough please don’t give up when things get tough I know it may be hard but we have an almighty God that we serve and should trust!!!!❤️

  39. 11 Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back.
    Proverbs 29:11 NLT

Let us be careful of the words that come out of our mouths. As the children of the Lord we are to speak of light and joy, and of the word of the Lord his truth. Watch out with the people you may hang around, sometimes they will try to influence you if they aren’t living right. The enemy will always try to creep in in any way that is possible. Let us seek the Lord daily, let us pray to him that he will fill us with his wisdom and strength and the power to overcome anything that comes our way to distract us. Let us not let sin overcome us, for we are the Lord children and anything is possible with the Lord!

  40. The Devotional Bible study

    Passage : Proverbs 29:6
    1. Prayer ✔
    2. Meditation: Violation of the law causes us not to be able to sing and rejoice. It literally binds you as a prisoner and hold you hostage.
    3. Application (How you will apply this passage to your life.)
Remain righteous before the Lord by retaining a teachable spirit while reading the word, praying and fasting and faithfully attending church service.

    4. Memorization- And the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice. Proverbs 29:6

    5. Assessment of application (perform this step over the next couple of weeks.)
    Rejoice over Calvary
    (Romans 5:17-21)
    Sing to the Lord
    (Ephesians 5:19-20)
Hide the word in my heart
    ( Psalms 119 : 9-16)

  41. “Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety. Many seek the ruler’s favor, but justice comes from the Lord.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:25-26‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/pro.29.25-26.nlt

We can’t seek after the favor of people, we can’t fear the people either. Your integrity is something that’s unique and special about you. Are you gonna stand on the word of God and stand for what is right or will you fold and buckle to whoever whenever just o you can make every one happy. I pray we get the mindset to defend the word as much as we defend certain other things

  42. 25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

When we are alined with the will of God we will not have fear. The Lord does not give us fear, but He gives peace and a sound mind.

  43. ” When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” Proverbs29:3

When you have an honorable person in charge who wants the best for all employees, you can accomplish much. The wicked can bring these accomplishments down in a short time.
You must have people in strength and righteous to be in authority. God can direct you in the right direction

  44. Proverbs 29:26 (msg)
Everyone tries to get help from the leader, but only God will give us justice.

    Seek God when setting goals

Goals Give us something concrete to focus on, and that has a positive impact on our actions. Goals help us focus our attention on our purpose

    Focus on His kingdom

  45. 15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

Correction encompasses so much. It not just a matter of spanking, redirecting, or even verbal reproof. It also encompasses relationship and and teaching. As parents we are their teachers we are also their playmates when they needed someone. The more we make ourselves available to them the more they will make themselves available to accept the wisdom we are giving them.

Will they always obey… no. Will they always do everything right? Probably not but make every moment a teachable moment and at the end of the day make sure they know we are in their corner and appreciate them.

  46. 9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.

I like how Solomon mentions the wide man here, he acknowledges how the struggle is real to deal with fools with so much wisdom available. It’s like saying “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.”

Trying to force understanding will only wear us out and feed the fools fire. The moral is don’t waste your energy where it’s not welcome. A man himself has to choose on his own to change. It’s a willingness that comes within. Being knowledgeable or wise has its sense of responsibility, to ourself and others. Detecting a fool isn’t hard but trying not to get upset with one can be. Just shake the dust off your shoes and keep on walking. It’s best to leave the foolish in the hands of Jesus if they don’t want to hear the Truth.

  47. 26 Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the Lord.

Many today seek after the approval of man or what this world offers. To “fit in” but at the end it will lead us to our eternal destruction. We are not from this world, so we must seek the Lord God approval and secure our eternity with Him. All things will fade away but God remains the same yesterday, today and forever!

  48. Fake love and slow fade

3 Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance.

A harlot offers you fake love just as other fakes that can rob you of your substance. Alcohol, gambling, drugs, they all take more than what you were wanting to give. You begin thinking you are in control but soon you find yourself lost. It’s not just these obvious terrible things that can trap you, it is anything that takes you out of the will of God. These things don’t start off strong enough to pay much attention to but they creep in ever so slightly till you are consumed and don’t know it. We have to be careful to keep on top of our dedication and walk with God so that these things never get a start in our lives. They are fake love but they overcome you with a slow fade.

  49. 26 Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the Lord.

All is in vain if the ruler or lord is not JESUS!!!

  50. “When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When we don’t accept God‘s guidance and His laws We become clueless, disobedient, and we lost in this world because without His guidance and without His word we are blinded and we are nothing without God. And whoever obeys the law of God is joyful for they do right in the sight of God and the people of God have victory.

  51. “If you assist a thief, you only hurt yourself. You are sworn to tell the truth, but you dare not testify. Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:24-25‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/pro.29.24-25.nlt

If we assist sin it hurts us and our relationship with the Lord we need to fear his name and trust his word and promises.

  52. “A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There are times in which we will want to fly off the handle at someone. We may even have a right to HOWEVER, in those moments we are so heated and so upset we have to turn to the God of peace and understanding. Now that doesn’t mean we should train ourselves never to get mad at anything but we should ain’t to be proactive rather than reactive. What does that look like? It’s making sure we are praying throughout the day, connecting with God and being filled with His Spirit, reading our Word, and fasting. This way when problems arise we can let God shine through us rather than our flesh step in and ruin everybody’s day.

  53. 25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

Fear is a trap. Faith and trust in God is the only thing that can bring you out of it.

  54. 25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

There are many things we may fear, and rightly so with the virus and with crime, etc. But we can be wise and take the precautions we know to do but ultimately our trust is in the Lord. He can keep us no matter what comes our way. There isn’t much help when we trust in the arm of the flesh-so we put our trust in the Lord!
