2 Chronicles 15

And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.

And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.

Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.

And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that the Lordhis God was with him.

10 So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.

11 And they offered unto the Lord the same time, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.

12 And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

13 That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

14 And they sware unto the Lord with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.

15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the Lord gave them rest round about.

16 And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

17 But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.

18 And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.

19 And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.

  1. 2 Chronicles 15:2,4
[2]and he went out to meet King Asa as he was returning from the battle. “Listen to me, Asa!” he shouted. “Listen, all you people of Judah and Benjamin! The lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.

[4]But whenever they were in trouble and turned to the lord, the God of Israel, and sought him out, they found him.

    James 4:8
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded

    Thank you Jesus

  2. 7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

Praise the Lord hard work will be rewarded specially Kingdom work.

    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:58‬ ‭
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

  3. Verses 1-2 NLT “Then the Spirit of God came upon Azariah son of Oded, and he went out to meet King Asa as he was returning from the battle. “Listen to me, Asa!” he shouted. “Listen, all you people of Judah and Benjamin! The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.” We need to heed the warnings also and seek/obey the Lord and do as verse 7 CEV says “So you must be brave. Don’t give up! God will honor you for obeying him.” We too must cut down and crush every disgusting thing (sin) that rises up against us, keeping our promises to faithfully follow the Lord no matter what we face! LIVE-GIVE JESUS²

  4. 2 Chronicles 15:2, 4, 12, & 15
    2) And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

    4) But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

    12) And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

    15) And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.

Two scriptures came to mind as I read these verses. They are Deuteronomy 4:29 and Acts 17:27.
Deuteronomy 4:29 says, “But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.”
Acts 17:27 says, “That they should seek the LORD, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:”

God Is Not Far From Every One Of Us.
If Ye Seek Him, He Will Be Found.
So, Seek Him With All Your Heart and With All Your Soul, and You Will Find Him!

  5. 16. And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

    No going back!
We can’t let any one or any thing come between us and our walk with God, even if it’s our Mother, Grandmother, or the Queen.
We should follow Asa’s example; he didn’t just take down the idol and put it in a closet in case he wanted to go back to it, he crushed it and burned it.

  6. 8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.

How will you respond when a word is spoken? It’s time we take things seriously and truly apply the Word of God to our lives. Heed the warnings, take down all the idols, set your heart to chase after God, and let nothing stop you from sharing this gospel!!

  7. 12 And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

13 That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

It doesn’t take a whole lot of brains to figure this one out, God is very serious when it comes to you picking sides. He says you can either live or die then gives us the choice. Even in James its said very similar..

James 1:15Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

There is no finish line for sin, and that act of of lust goes for anything. A lust of flesh, A lust after material things, A lust after basically setting your will over His. These root to pride and you WILL downfall with pride. When you do this your saying okay God AFTER i get this ill pray, okay God AFTER I make this much ill give my missions pledge. AFTER i pay for this Ill give in tithes and offerings..
    SIN brings fourth DEATH

  8. 4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

Seek him!! In the good and the bad!

  9. 2 Chron. 15:7 Be ye strong, therefore, and let not your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.
[8] And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded, the prophet, he took courage and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which we he had taken from the hill country of Ephraim, and repaired the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.
    The Prophet Azariah warns Asa.
Be strong and Be Bold and work for the Lord it’s a pleasure to serve others.
We are the only ones that can help ( Pofw).
Galatians 6: 9 And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
The joy of the Lord is our strength.

  10. 7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

Kingdom work is never in Vain

No matter what we do for the kingdom of God, our work is never in vain. We will always be rewarded for our sacrifice to the kingdom of God. When we feel that we are the only one doing for the kingdom and we feel like we are overwhelmed, we have to remember that Jesus is our refuge and strength, He is the very present help in time of trouble. We will run to Him and find rest. We just have to realize that no matter what people might say, their actions will always prove their heart and what is important to them. We have to remember that Jesus will always reward the faithful. The scripture reminds us that if we seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all the things that we need and desire will always be added to us.

As my coach use to say, we are in the 4th quarter and 2 minutes left! It’s now or never and we have to stay in the game and we always have the capability to pull off the win. It’s time to dig in and fight for it. If you want it bad enough you can have it. Time is getting short for this world as God is preparing to call his church home and we have a limited time to work for the kingdom of God. The fields are truly white for harvest and it’s time to get as many as the church can to allow God to fill them with his spirit. It is time to step up or step out. It’s up to us to get this world ready for the coming of the king of kings and Lord of Lords.

  11. 2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

Things are not as complex as we like to make them I was speaking with the gentleman a few days ago and he just could not understand the idea that God was giving all the people and ultimatum to either choose him and have heaven or go their own way and wind up in hell. He didn’t like the concept of you have to choose God in order to have peace and go to heaven. He thought if you were just a good person then that should be enough. My response was very simple, why would you not want to follow a God that created everything and loves you and wants to guide you through every decision. As human beings we like to think that things are very complex at times and the hardest decisions have a lot to it but in reality there are many occasions when it is a simple decision between choosing God and choosing the world

  12. 15:12 and they enter into a covenant to seek the

This OSS the day that the Lord has made

  13. And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
    2 Chronicles 15:12‭-‬13 KJV

    https://bible.com/bible/1/2ch.15.12-13.KJV

Why would they put people to death for not seeking the Lord? Well first off a lot of things can happen when there’s division in a nation but let’s take it down to it personal level. When we are turning our eyes back to God one of the first things that must be done is removing the idols, the distractions, and the stumbling blocks. When I was getting sober almost 8 years ago I got away from The temptations and the things that would cause me to stumble. When we are drawing closer to God we remove the things that distract us in the first place. And certain things that may have led us down the wrong road those things need to die in our lives. Leaving them theremeans that you’re never fully protected, it means that there’s always going to be that voice in the back of your head trying to compromise you back into sin. That’s why you have to put it to death. That’s why you cut the head off of the giant

  14. II Chronicles 15
7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded

    Keep Working
Too many times we give up on someone because we are not seeing fruit or any growth in their life fe. This where we must realize we have done what God
asked of us . Plant a seed and God does the rest .
We may have the opportunity to cultivate and we may not but we keep working knowing that we have truly sought after God for the souls we are making contact with. We must continue to be strong and continue to throw the seed out . Last year I made a trip to Franklin , TX I stopped at a Dairy.Queen before going to the church which was just a street over. The manager was at the window of the drive thru to give me my order. One simple question has anyone given you an invitation to the Pentecostal church here in town.? His answer was no ! So you guessed it . I did .
That same week I had the opportunity to go back again to DQ the only fast food place in that little little town . More talk and introduction of the pastor .One year labor work rewarded.
I received a call actually just a few days ago from the pastor ‘s wife and she asked did I recall the manager of the DQ I had invited to church . He met someone associated with the church and now is in Bible Study and is attending an Apostolic church close to his home ! We can’t allow our hands to be weakened . We must continue no matter how many times we may not see the results God promises the work will be rewarded . My reward was that because the seed was sown , fruit was being produced. I pray strength over everyone and myself that we do not allow hands to be weakened. We must continue to sow the seeds.
We must continue to be strong in the heat of the battle and continue to seek God with all of our heart .
Judah rejoiced in victory fie they did not allow their hands to become weak and they sought God with all their heart . Their reward was the battle victory!
We fight against the enemy of this world and we must keep on fighting!
    Ecclesiastes 9:10
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might,

  15. I love POFW. I love reading the word with good endings. So finally the people turn to God and he delivered them into his hands.

  16. “And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Doesn’t matter what happens, get back up and renew your altar. We can convince ourselves that God would never take us back but here is His promise and instruction to us – Take courage, remove yourself from your temptation, and renew your altar for the Lord

  17. 2 Chronicles 15:4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Psalm 9:10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

God will hear if we repent and seek him .

  18. 7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

Asa was encouraged to abolish idol worship and get rid of the idols. To keep the faith. Everyone needs to have someone in their lives who will encourage them when they are having a difficult time getting through life.

  19. 8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.

Asa filled with courage and put everyone in their place including his mother. He took her idol and destroyed it. It takes a lot to go against your mother, I know for my mother grew up Catholic all her life and she would get so mad asking me why will I leave the religion that she taught me. One day it took a lot of courage but I finally answer her question. She was upset with me and cried. I reassured her that it didn’t mean I did not love her and respected her it was just my decision. It didn’t matter to her she saw it as a personal attack. She didn’t bother me much about it after that. Once in a while she would say something about the Bible and I will show her that my Bible said the same thing. I hope that God seeing how faithful she was will judge her according to her knowledge. Asa clean up shop like we say and did the best for Judah and God stood by them as long as they stood by God. Thank you Jesus for great spiritual leaders that will stand up for the Word of God.

  20. 2 Chronicles 15

    12 And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

When we place Jesus in the highest place in our lives and heart we will rejoice.

Jeremiah 16:19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

One of the most devastating fallouts of the Corona shutdown is the level and frequency of stagnation, lethargy and passiveness in the church and among GODS people. It is ev evident in our Prayer Meetings, Praise Services and overall Commitment to JESUS and HIS Church.

Tuesday Evening in our Monthly Directors Meeting, the LORD spoke to us in regard to this and led us to the parable of the “Lost Coin” and how passionately and persistantly we will search for the “Lost Coin”. Passion, People, Postiton with GOD are all “Lost Coins” in the ENDTIME.

JESUS is calling us into a covenant to seek the LORD our GOD: JESUS with all your heart and all our soul and this was a LIFE AND DEATH commitment that was approached with great excitement, anticipation and exaltation.

May JESUS guide The POFW in our search and quest for the Missing elements of our relationship with JESUS.

  22. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

We notice here what happened when the Spirit of God came upon Azariah. The Word shows us in verse #2 that the prophet prophesied to him. “The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.”

The Spirit of God comes upon us to be a witness. I pray we would all be filled with the Spirit and would all prophesy as the Spirit gives us the Words to speak

  23. 8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.

First God spoke to send the message and Asa received it. Asa had to mix his faith with the word to receive this promise-which he did. He destroyed the idols, called the people together and in unity, they obeyed and were very encouraged because God was with them. When we hear the word, we must mix our faith with it and receive everything God has for us. We will receive our promises in his timing!

  24. “And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded: And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15:1-2, 8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Word from God is worth more than gold and all the riches of this world. In the Passage we see a great leader ship trait. When Asa heard the Words from the prophet he took courage and put it into action. He took the lead and led Judah and Benjamin out of unrighteousness.

  25. 8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.

Many times as humans we feel that when we fail at serving the Lord in all areas of our lives, that there is no coming back. However, there are several instances in the Bible including todays chapter where when the word of God convicted Asa’s heart, he did an about face, and renewed the altar of the Lord and started again on the path of covenant with God.

Even those who feel that they have gone to far, as long as there is breath in our bodies, and we have not blasphemed against God, we have the opportunity to repent, turn about face and do what is right and God will meet us right where we left Him – at the altar.

  26. 15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the Lord gave them rest round about.

Asa had 2 choices, one he could keep doing the things according to the way present things were OR he could hearken to the voice of the Lord delivered by Azariah. But he chose to rip out all of the idols and evil things that had become gods of land. He put back into the place and rebuilt the altars for the use holy sacrifices to the Lord. I’m sure he losts a lot of people that he loved in doing so, but God richly blessed him and honored his commitment to restoring the things of the Lord. There are seasons in our lives when God asks us to make the choice to stay with our familiar surroundings or pick up our crosses and move forward for His calling without hesitation of the sacrifices ahead.

  27. Then the Spirit of God came upon Azariah son of Oded, and he went out to meet King Asa as he was returning from the battle. “Listen to me, Asa!” he shouted. “Listen, all you people of Judah and Benjamin! The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬
A prophet is a leader of those God has sent him to, for spiritual direction in his life. The LORD had been with them in the past, and would be with them in the future as long as they sought Him. He would bless them, as long as they were faithful to Him. He would curse them, if they were unfaithful to Him. The message was simple, but clear.

  28. “That whosever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. And they sware unto the Lord with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets. And all of Judah rejoiced at eh oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of threm: and thr LOrd gasve them rest round about.” 2 Chronicles 15:13-15

All of Judah had sworn wholeheartedly about taking the oath. They sought God and wanted to be righteous and not have other Gods before them. Asa took down idols and decided to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.

  29. 16 And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

Asa did not just remove the idol, he completely destroyed it to where no one could worship it again.

When we remove sin from our life, it can be easy to fall back into it if we do not completely destroy it till there is no way to go back.

  30. 16 And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

Asa was serious about cleaning house. He didn’t want anything that was not holy standing. It didn’t matter what his mother believed, he knew it wasn’t right. Family will try an get you to let down your guard, but King Asa wasn’t having it. We should be bold enough to take a stand against those things that are not right. God has called his people to greatness and we must stand on that firm foundation.

  31. 6 And nation was destroyed of nation, and city of city: for God did vex them with all adversity.
7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

When it seems that our life is a contuminious struggle, we can look forward to knowing that there is a time when we will be rewarded.

  32. 4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

5 And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.

This is the peril of playing hopscotch with our salvation. Which way we chose to live our lives will point us in the direction God will deal with us. If we live for Jesus and seek after him then he is with us. If we forsake him and go about pleasing self with things that lead unto sin then He will punish us. It’s simple but we can make it complicated. At some point we have to learn the lesson and stop the cycle.

  33. 16 King Asa even deposed his grandmother Maacah from her position as queen mother because she had made an obscene Asherah pole. He cut down her obscene pole, broke it up, and burned it in the Kidron Valley.
    2 Chronicles 15:16 NLT

Asa was fully committed to getting rid of the sins out of his house, even if it was part of what his mother believed. In this world now days it is full of wicked things and is full of sin, it is also very easy to fall into temptation and end up in a sin you knew was wrong. It’s important to fill our lives with the word of the Lord, and surround ourselves with people that you know will help you when you are in trials those who will teach you how to resist temptation. Let us get close to God daily seek him daily, for he will give you the strength to overcome anything and he will forgive you of your sins and help guide you in the righteous way he has.

  34. And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.

3 Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.

4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

There is a trap from the enemy. A lie. A deception. He uses condemnation and shame to keep people away from God. There is not one that is exempt from falling. So we know that there will be a time, or times that you will fall and will need God’s forgiveness. The enemy will try and sell you the idea that you have gone to far. There is no turning back. And that is the biggest life. Turning back is what repentance is. Turning back to God. Yet the enemy will try and convince you otherwise. Through out the scriptures we see the heart of God towards his people. He wants me, you to get back to him and seek him. Especially after sin or falling. He tells us that if we seek him we will be found. He wants you that out of your own will and effort to take action. Go after him. When things are cold and bad in our lives it’s not that God has left us. For he promised that he will be with us unto the end. It is us that walk away from him and the Kingdom of God. Yes we are human and he knows our frailty yet when we fall get right back to him. In him is where the true life and blessings are.

  35. 8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.

Asa was determined to get all of the wicked things out of His home, and from Him. We have to take the responsibility to keep our mind and spirit clean!

  36. 7 Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

Sometimes life gets in the way and we just need to be reminded of THE TRUE GOD that we serve!!! GOD IS FAITHFUL!!!

  37. 2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
3 Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.

Seeking God should always be top priority in our lives. We cannot build relationship with Him if we are tied up in sin. Sin pushes us away from God causing us not to seek Him.

As we seek Him He will show us those things to destroy. Let us be more willing to do righteous than to do our own thing

  38. “and he went out to meet King Asa as he was returning from the battle. “Listen to me, Asa!” he shouted. “Listen, all you people of Judah and Benjamin! The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Which side do we stand on? It all comes down to good or bad because the good side will always prevail. As Christian we must identify the good and bad in the world. Now Bible says the Lord is good, and his will when Jesus was walking on land he demonstrates leadership, love, pure, humbleness, discipline and righteousness we must strive to live like the Lord for it is good. What bad then? It’s sin it takes and damages our relationship with God it cause by rebellion it goes against God. God won’t abandon us you chose to live like gif are not we chose to be against or for Him.

  39. “All in Judah were happy about this covenant, for they had entered into it with all their heart. They earnestly sought after God, and they found him. And the Lord gave them rest from their enemies on every side.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It starts with a relationship with God, and when we live Jesus wholeheartedly and seek after Him and begin to lift our voices with praise to God He inhabits the praises of His people. And God was with all Judah and gave them victory and rest for the sought the Lord and reminded themselves how great and mighty is our God.

  40. “Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Endurance! All we have to do is continue to move forward and not allow our circumstances to deter us away from him. The work we are doing for him will be rewarded. Even if right now you don’t see product from your work stay encouraged because there will be a harvest. There is seed time and there is harvest time. It doesn’t happen all a sudden it takes time and caring. Endure until the end and you will reap the benefits… you just have to keep going. Always remember he is with you along the way.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

  41. True rest

15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the Lord gave them rest round about.

Folks pay a lot of money to go on vacations and sleep in nice hotels just to come back home to the same grind and never get real rest. Here in this scripture it tells you how to get the true rest we all desire. True rest is earned . The recipe includes being ready to serve, being totally convinced, And making room for him.

  42. 15 And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the Lord gave them rest round about.

They were happy and content with the oath. They were happy with dedicated their lives to God and stating to do and act a certain way. And God found pleasure in this just as he does when we chose these same paths within our own lives. There’s a time and place when one needs to realize their placement to the Almighty and make the necessary changes.

16 And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

Asa did right in the sight of the Lord. He even kicked his own mother out of her previous position, because her actions were not right and not aligned with God. Sometimes in our own lives we have to put people in our lives at a different level or place in our lives. Lord, help us to know when we need to remove people from our lives or even just to a different area where it does not have the same effect on us.

  43. 2and he went out to meet King Asa as he was returning from the battle. “Listen to me, Asa!” he shouted. “Listen, all you people of Judah and Benjamin! The LORD will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.

Seek God, and you’ll find him, because he’ll be waiting on you. If you don’t seek God, why should God wait on you? You always have to continue seeking God, serve God, and be committed to God. The old saying of “once save always saved”, goes out the window. This tells you God will abandon you, if you abandon God.

  44. “That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That is truly a live or die situation. Jesus is always worthy of praise but in this case there was no other choice, praise or die. I am glad that we have a choice because that let God see those who really want it and it shows the desires of the heart.

  45. “Then they bound themselves in a covenant to seek God, the God of their fathers, wholeheartedly, holding nothing back.” MSG

This is the example to follow when we make a covenant with God.

    -Wholeheartedly
    – Holding Nothing Back
    – Bound to Christ
