2 Chronicles 17

And Jehoshaphat his son reigned in his stead, and strengthened himself against Israel.

And he placed forces in all the fenced cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.

And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

Therefore the Lord stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.

Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.

And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests.

And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the Lord with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.

10 And the fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

11 Also some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he goats.

12 And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store.

13 And he had much business in the cities of Judah: and the men of war, mighty men of valour, were in Jerusalem.

14 And these are the numbers of them according to the house of their fathers: Of Judah, the captains of thousands; Adnah the chief, and with him mighty men of valour three hundred thousand.

15 And next to him was Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred and fourscore thousand.

16 And next him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto the Lord; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valour.

17 And of Benjamin; Eliada a mighty man of valour, and with him armed men with bow and shield two hundred thousand.

18 And next him was Jehozabad, and with him an hundred and fourscore thousand ready prepared for the war.

19 These waited on the king, beside those whom the king put in the fenced cities throughout all Judah.

  1. 3 And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

    4 But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

    5 Therefore the Lord stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

    When you give yourself to the Lord he always gives back. Jehoshaphat turn to the ways of the Lord and God richly blessed him with riches and honour in abundance. We have to realize that no one or nothing can be greater than God. When we serve God we have to do it with all our soul, heart, mind and power. We will be established as a heir to the kingdom when we love the Lord. You see when you serve God with everything he in turns gives back. There is no one like our God.

    He will not only supply blessing upon blessing but will also provide an army for you to do the work and provide the protection from the enemy. Never will you be wrong in choosing first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, because he will give you all the desires of your heart and then some. Jehoshaphat stayed the course and he was blessed. If we the church stay the course God will give us the laborers to reap the great harvest in the end time and we will see many saved and brought to the salvation of the Lord. It is time to get serious to living Jesus so that we can start giving Jesus to every soul that we meet. Be bold and take a stand for the kingdom of God.

  2. In this chapter we see the difference between Jehoshaphat’s rule and the previous kings before him. Jehoshaphat made preparations for Judah as a portion of verses 1-6 says “….God was on Jehoshaphat’s side because he stuck to the ways of his father Asa’s early years. He didn’t fool around with the popular Baal religion—he was a seeker and follower of the God of his father and was obedient to him….”. Jehoshaphat became very rich and much honored as God secured the kingdom under his rule. The act of obedience will bring blessings; but, it takes us to also be single-minded in following God. We must abstain from all evil and keep our minds on Christ. Our Proverb for the day says in verse 14 “Blessed and favored by God is the man who fears [sin and its consequence] at all times, But he who hardens his heart [and is determined to sin] will fall into disaster.”

    Also in verses 10-12 of this chapter, it talks about the “…strong sense of the fear of God in all the kingdoms around Judah”. This is something that has been lost throughout the years. Somewhere along the lines, the foundation on which this land was built has been forgotten and polluted. 2 Timothy 2:19 CEV tells us “But the foundation that God has laid is solid. On it is written, “The Lord knows who his people are. So everyone who worships the Lord must turn away from evil.” Deuteronomy 6:24 AMP says “So the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear [and worship] the Lord our God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect] for our good always and so that He might preserve us alive, as it is today.”
    Deuteronomy 10:12 AMP also says “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear [and worship] the Lord your God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], to walk [that is, to live each and every day] in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being],”. 3. 9 And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the Lord with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.

    “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
    ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

  4. 3. And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

    4. But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

    9. And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the Lord with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.

    10. And the fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

    When we seek God and walk in His commandments, He can put a hedge of protection around us so that others won’t continually attack us and we can focus on reaching those around us with His Word.

  5. So much favor for Jehosaphat!! And why?? He didn’t conform to what everyone else was doing!!! He did the opposite! He upheld the statutes of the Lord and even sent out his ministers to conduct Bible studies so that the people he led would be armed with the laws and statutes!!! That’s empowering the people. That’s LEADERSHIP!!

  6. 17:6 god heart was encouraged , and he took great pride in the ways of the Lord.
    Moreover he again removed the high places
    Of pagan worship and the Asherim from Judah.
    ——-
    This is the day that the Lord has made
    We will rejoice and be half in it.
    And His mercy endures forever.
    Today is a new day.
    Can’t change yesterday( in case it wasn’t the best…)
    But we can choose how we will see today and Everyday.
    Hallelujah 🙌🙌🙌
    The joy of the Lord is my strength😊
    Hallelujah 🙌
    The lord is my light and my salvation, whom
    Shall I be afraid of?
    When I think of the goodness of Jesus
    And all that he has done for me, my soul
    Cries out “ Hallelujah “ thank God
    Fort saving me.
    Hallelujah 😊
    He heals the broken-hearted
    He strengthen the weak..
    Hallelujah 😊
    “Glory to God in the highest “

    Let’s keep on keeping on.
    Today I choose 👉🏼to look up!!!
    How not to be great full? how not to be encouraged?
    If the Lord has been so good to us🙌.
    Let us MAGNIFY the Lord!!!
    Let us exalt his holy name.

    🙏.

  7. 3 And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

    4 But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

    5 Therefore the Lord stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

    6 And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.

    Oh what a MIGHTY GOD we serve!!!! When God is on your side who can be against you???? All the courageous men are with the king because he has GOD on his side. This goes to show that no matter wha, when you are in Jesus Team He will surround you with His Holy Army!!! VICTORY IN HIS NAME!!!!! JESUS!!!

  8. 3 And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;
    4 But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

    Every time I read that a king has turned the people towards God or that he has done “that which was right in the sight of God” it always follows with the prosperity of the people. Or how they defeated the enemy because they sought the Lord for help. Bottom line: you cannot go wrong serving God. Not only bc of this but it is only right to serve the creator of the universe. There is no downside to serving God and worshiping his deity. While it may get messy at times and you may be the subject of many attacks you’re always on the right side of every situation and you are never alone. As long as God is on our side we will get through anything that comes against us

    REPENTANCE AND THE WORD

    6 And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.
    7 Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.
    8 And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests.
    9 And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the Lord with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.

    Every eternal correction begins with REPENTANCE. Jehoshaphat choose to destroy the man made, hand build idols that other generations had built that did not bring Glory to GOD. We could liken this practice to family traditions that do not honor GOD. The preverbial “sacred cows” of our family or culture. Statues and practices that do not honor or worship GOD.

    Following REPENTANCE is INSTRUCTION. The Leader sent the WORD of GOD to be taught by Leaders throughput the land. This is the earliest reference to Home Bible Study in scripture.

    If The Pentecostals of Fort Worth will apply this same principal of REPENTACE AND THE WORD we will see the favor and power of JESUS among us like never before. There are millions of souls in our region that have not heard the Glorious Gospel of the New Birth salvation.

    Lets GO teach the WAYS and WORD of the LORD to all that will hear.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iLive

  10. 2 Chron. 5-6 Therefore, the Lord established the kingdom in his hands; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat tribute, and he had riches and honer in abundance.
    [6] And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord; moreover, he took away the high places and idols out of Judah.
    Jehoshapha, walking in the of David,
    institutes reforms.
    If we get away from God and than we need to get ourselves back to the Lord through repentance of where we first love Jesus.
    Hallelujah give God the praise and Honer.

  11. 2 Chronicles 17:9, “And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.”

    They had the law of the LORD, the Word of God, with them; and they went throughout all the cities of Judah; and they taught the people.
    This made me think about Bible Studies in Fort Worth, in our community, and in the regions round about us. We all have a responsibility to share and teach the Word of God to others.
    LIVE JESUS – GIVE JESUS

  12. 3And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

    4 But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

    5 Therefore the Lord stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

    Many prodigals feel Like they have gone too far to ever return, but this chapter proves if you will just walk in the ways of the Lord, he doesn’t hold against you the mistakes of the past.

    Get up and follow the Lord!

  13. 9 And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the Lord with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.
    10 And the fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

    This is the best example of leadership in these chapters because Jehoshaphat taught the people the laws of God. Then the fear of God was on the neighboring people’s and there was peace. But 1st he had to organize the princes and send them out. Again, great leadership to teach the people which had been a missing element in the past.

  14. And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat… this is what you live Jesus and give Jesus for! I want to have that shield the rest of my days….and the Lord was with Regina!

  15. “And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

    And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭17:3, 6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Hallelujah!
    What a change in leadership as a king!
    Jehoshaphat reverend GOD, loved GOD, and had a relationship with GOD. He didn’t follow the ways of the world. He feared GOD and not man.
    As an American I believe if we as a Nation truly have a reverence for GOD and be obedient to His word, we wouldn’t be in such chaos as America is today.
    It is going to take the church to rise up, to stand on the word of GOD, to repent, obedience, and getting rid of ALL unrighteousness in our land! We need to have a single heart as it says about Jehoshaphat and lead our Nation back to GOD.

    “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭14:34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  16. 2 Chronicles 17:5-6
    [5]So the lord established Jehoshaphat’s control over the kingdom of Judah. All the people of Judah brought gifts to Jehoshaphat, so he became very wealthy and highly esteemed.
    [6]He was deeply committed to the ways of the lord. He removed the pagan shrines and Asherah poles from Judah.

    Proverbs 16:3,20
    [3]Commit your actions to the lord,
        and your plans will succeed.
    [20]Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the lord will be joyful.

  17. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus

    5 Therefore the Lord stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.
    6 And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah

    When I read this I immediately thought of the scripture, Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

    You see Jehoshaphat gave unto the Lord honor by removing the high places from the land. He gave unto the Lord his love, time, money, and praise and God in return gave back and put it in peoples hearts to bring gifts and presents. The Word of God is powerful and true.

  18. 2 Chronicles 17:3,4 And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim; But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

    Seek God always and keep His commandments

    Psalm 37:4 Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

  19. First of all

    3 And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

    4 But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

    5 Therefore the Lord stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

    This scripture could have said that the Lord was with Jehoshaphat because of his valor, or his might or anything else but it says the Lord was with him because Jehoshaphat chose to put God first, the ways of his father David. David being that man after Gods own heart, Jehoshaphat followed his example and followed the ways of God. There are people that are talented, mighty, gifted, and even valiant that Gods will is not being carried out in their lives because this one thing, they haven’t put Him first. The trap is to think that when you put God first, you miss out on something. It is completely opposite from that.

    Proverbs‬ ‭16:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”
    ‭‭
    This means that whatever you do, if God is with you you will succeed. I don’t want to do anything without him now because I know how he has established me.

  20. 13 And he had much business in the cities of Judah: and the men of war, mighty men of valour, were in Jerusalem.

    1,160,000 men of war!!!
    When we teach God’s Word, and do His work, He gives the increase. No only did Judah have peace, but other nations gave unto them, abundantly. That’s what walking in His favor does. The only way to walk in His favor is to be submitted, obedient, and holy with our lives, teaching others Jesus.

  21. 3 And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

    We must filled with the ways of God through the Bible. When we follow Jesus with all our heart he Promises to never leave us nor for sake us. We are blessed and want nothing when we have God.

  22. 10 And the fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

    God will protect you from your enemies and cause your enemies to fear you. That’s the kind of God we serve. God has always taken care of his people. All we have to do is obey and trust that he’s got everything under control. The problem comes when we try to figure things out for ourselves and expect things to turn out perfectly. Where if we had waited on the Lord, everything would have been alright. Sometimes it’s the right thing to do, but at the wrong time. God’s timing is the best timing because he knows exactly what is needed and when it is needed.

  23. “And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the Lord with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭17:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    It’s amazing what happens when the people know the Word Of God! His Word says study to shew thyself approved unto God. We should know the Word for God for ourselves, study it for ourselves, appreciate it for ourselves. Like they used to say growing up, You can’t make it to Heaven on your mom or dad’s relationship with God – only your own. I pray we dive deeper in His Word, grasping a true appreciation for the gift Jesus has given us

  24. 5 Therefore the Lord stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

    Jehoshaphat chose to follow the Lord. When we repent and follow the Lord’s precepts, He will honour us in abundance.

  25. If God is for you, who can be against you! We must put God first in everything we do. As we all go through these trials, Jesus is always here for us. Ask and ye shall receive.
    Thank you Jesus for this day.

  26. “They taught in Judah having the Book of the Law of the LORD with them; they went throughout all the cities of Judah and taught among the people.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭17:9‬ ‭AMP‬‬

    They went out and taught the people the law of the lord. Outreach and winning souls is so important especially in this time we are living in. We can’t just expect them to walk in. We must go out and reach the lost souls. When we do outreach we have to continue to outreach and not get in the mindset that because we don’t see the harvest from the seeds we’ve planted that there will be no harvest. We have to continue to endure because harvest will come.

  27. 9 They took copies of the Book of the Law of the Lord and traveled around through all the towns of Judah, teaching the people.
    2 Chronicles 17:9 NLT

    It is amazing seeing souls renewed, life’s changed and saved! As the Lords children, we each have our own special different testimonies, let us be able to embrace it and tell it to others so they can see how the Lord has saved you from things you didn’t even know you could be saved from, and he saved you from your sins and enemies. Everyday that the Lord blessed us with make sure that you are seeking him more and more and filling yourself with the Word of the Lord. Nothing is more important than growing your relationship with God, let us be used by God to help save and bring to the Light just like God did with us.

  28. 11 Also some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he goats.

    He walked in that ways of the Lord and even his enemies brought gifts. The wealth of the wicked is stored for th righteous. Our responsibility is to do what God tells us to do and walk righteously. In doing so even our enemies can be subject to us.

  29. 10 And the fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

    God places and takes out certain people in our lives for the good for us! Fox knows what’s best for our good and all we have to do, is trust His process. We cannot force things that are not meant to be. It’s kinda like a magnet, if you try to put the wrong sides together it’s not going to work. God has a plan for each and every one of our lives! Are you trusting what he has planned for you? I pray tonight that we are trust the process and take the right path in life!

  30. “In the third year of his reign Jehoshaphat sent his officials to teach in all the towns of Judah. These officials included Ben-hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah.

    They took copies of the Book of the Law of the Lord and traveled around through all the towns of Judah, teaching the people.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭17:7, 9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    God is calling the church to arise out of our comfort zone to stand in boldness to preach to everyone the gospel of God’s salvation. God is calling names to go but are we willing to obey His will, and I pray that we make up in our mind that we going to serve God and no longer be the same but saved and set free.

  31. “They took copies of the Book of the Law of the Lord and traveled around through all the towns of Judah, teaching the people. Then the fear of the Lord fell over all the surrounding kingdoms so that none of them wanted to declare war on Jehoshaphat.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭17:9-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    When we fear the Lord we have peace. The peace of God falls on us when we fear his words we must fear the Lord at all time so we may find love and peace.

  32. 3 And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

    Sometimes we make it more complicated than it is. The truth is that it can really be that simple. We read how Jehoshaphat was blessed and recieved gifts and had protection from his enemies and all he did was walk in the ways of the Lord. Yes no secret formulas or special things. Just simply followed the ways of God. In return was Gods favor, protection and blessing.

  33. “Therefore the Lord stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭17:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    The Lord is so good. He has blessed us beyond measure. When we are in right standings with the Lord he will make even his enemies to be at peace with you.

    “When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  34. 3 And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;

    Jesus will walk with those who seek him and follow His commandments. There are many right “ways” offered today in our world. But we know that there is only ONE way to salvation! Do not be tempted to take a short cut, the way is one straight way. Follow it, don’t give up! We are almost there!

  35. 6 And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.

    Open your heart and let Jesus enter and Jesus will bless you.

    -Jacob Hernandez I Love you all POFW

  36. “And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭17:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Even when there is a bad example set, you can look to find the one you wish to follow. I can imagine him looking at the kingdom and thinking back over the years realizing what made the kingdom great. I think he realized that following God was when the kingdom was at it’s best. A truly wise king not only follows God, but leads his kingdom to follow God as well.

  37. 9 And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the Lord with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.
    10 And the fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

    The Word is all you need! Thank You Lord for Your Word that continues to teach us, guide us, and correct us.

  38. “Asa’s son Jehoshaphat was the next king; he started out by working on his defense system against Israel. He put troops in all the fortress cities of Judah and deployed garrisons throughout Judah and in the towns of Ephraim that his father Asa had captured. GOD was on Jehoshaphat’s side because he stuck to the ways of his father Asa’s early years. He didn’t fool around with the popular Baal religion—he was a seeker and follower of the God of his father and was obedient to him; he wasn’t like Israel. And GOD secured the kingdom under his rule, gave him a firm grip on it. And everyone in Judah showed their appreciation by bringing gifts. Jehoshaphat ended up very rich and much honored. He was single-minded in following GOD; and he got rid of the local sex-and-religion shrines.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭17:1-6‬ ‭MSG‬‬

    It’s nice to see some good fellas coming back into the picture. Throughout these pst chapters we’ve seen a lot of wickedness and selfishness. I think clear and safe to say God don’t think it’s cool when you put things before him. There’s been lot of kings just die and it seems to me because they just kept screwing up.
    But look what the word says, as soon as the king started doing the right things it says “and God was on his side”
    We gotta do the right thing folks bottom line

  39. 3The LORD was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the example of his father’s early years and did not worship the images of Baal. 4He sought his father’s God and obeyed his commands instead of following the evil practices of the kingdom of Israel.

    Jehoshaphat learned from his father to follow God. Children see the examples of their parents and will follow them. Teach your kids about God, obedience, prayer and worship.

  40. 4 But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.
    5 Therefore the Lord stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.

    When seeking after God blessings Xcode in abundance. It’s difficult for some fro realize this!

    This is what happens when someone godly is in charge and a nation is taught the law of the Lord! When people are educated they do fear God! Where are we at?? It starts when you take God out o education and it turns into something ugly.
