2 Kings 9

And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:

And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the Lord, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramothgilead.

And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain.

And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the Lord, even over Israel.

And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel.

For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:

And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:

10 And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

11 Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.

12 And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the Lord, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

13 Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.

14 So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

15 But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

16 So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

17 And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

18 So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.

19 Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

20 And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

21 And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

22 And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

23 And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

24 And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

25 Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the Lordlaid this burden upon him;

26 Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the Lord; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the Lord. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the Lord.

27 But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

28 And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.

29 And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.

30 And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

31 And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

33 And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

34 And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s daughter.

35 And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

36 Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the Lord, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

37 And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

  1. 32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side?

Jezebel Is d her influence over the king to strengthen idolatry to Baal in Israel. The price she paid for her sin was death, and her body ripped to pieces that by the time they went to bury her they didn’t find much. Be careful who you chose for a spouse for our God is a Jealous God!!! He wants to be your only God. He is worthy of all of our praised. It is hard to follow the path of Jesus Christ when your spouse is placing idols all around you and pushing you to do things with them. It is best to stay single and loving God that to marry and finish in hell. So be very careful to chose a spouse that love God just as much or more than you do. You would be surprised how much influence a spouse has. Thank you Jesus for it took a long time but you promised me and Praise God I lived to see my husband serve you with all his heart and soul.

  2. 22 And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

37 And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

You have identified the problem now get rid of it completely.

  3. In the beginning of the chapter, we see how Jehu presented himself before the young man, the servant of the prophet, as he heard and received what the servant had to say. The way we see things and perceive what the Lord wants to do is revealed in how we react. As we see at the end of the chapter in verse 30 AMP “So when Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard about it, and she painted her eyes and adorned her head and looked down from the [upper] window.” We have to be careful how we perceive what we see because it could just be a trap from the enemy to draw you in. Jehu was smart enough to not be deceived by what he saw; but, called it out and got rid of that sin out of his sight once and for all.

  4. 8 For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:
9 And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:
10 And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled

The word of God in Revelation shows us that there are different punishments and levels in hell for the evil that is committed on earth. The scripture shows that while Israel had many kings that did evil in the side of the Lord but none face the fate of Jezebel and Ahab. Ahab went beyond just doing evil in the side of the Lord, and Jezebel was responsible for many deaths of the children of God, they faced a much greater punishment than any other king that we have read about so far. God will not be mocked nor will he allow his children to be touched with avenging them.

  5. 32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

The eunuchs. You don’t take much thought when glancing at this passage, but could you imagine having to be in that position and knowing in your heart truth or having a love for God….desiring to serve a greater purpose but having to submit to someone who consistently blasphemes the God you serve. Being surrounded by pagan influences and yet holding on to truth as your anchor in your heart of hearts.
The greatest thing (in my opinion) about knowing God is omniscient and all powerful and trusting in Him is we don’t have to know all the answers. We don’t have to rent our hearts wondering why. We don’t have to go about searching for a reason for our suffering. God is good. God is faithful. He is our AVENGER.

  6. 2. And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

    3. Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the Lord, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

    12. And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the Lord, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

When his brethren asked him what was going on, he said, “I AM ANOINTED.”

Sometimes, to receive your anointing, you have to step away from your buddies, spend some time in an inner chamber, and hear what thus saith the Lord.

  7. 6 And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the Lord, even over Israel.

We too can take part in being God’s anointed if we are faithful and committed to our relationship with Him.

  8. “Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the Lord, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the Lord, even over Israel.”
    ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭9:3, 6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus has anointed us all to carry His mission in our region when He filled us with The Holy Ghost!
We have been called and chosen to bring down the enemy and bring in the souls of our region. There is no time to waste in the times that we are living in. The enemy will not triumph over POFW. Brother and sister continue to put your trust in The Lord.

…’Vengeance is mine says the Lord, I shall repay’.

  9. 9:11 then Jerry came forth to the the servants
Of his Lord, and one said unto him, is all well?
What for came this mad fellow to thee?
And he said to them, ye know the man and his
    Communication.
    ——
We will never be able to please everyone
Plus, we live to please Jesus..
People should be able to See Jesus through us.
    ( that’s a good testimony)
This man ( Jehu)knew ( recognized)who he was and the other men too,. Even though people would denied it, some just hate the idea of acknowledge it.
    👉🏼 All glory to God.

🙏 that i(we) may give a good testimony of him.
The righteous one, the holy one.

  10. I admire early times alot. God spoke and someone immediately obeyed. I love this, quick complete obedience. When one trust God with all his heart and converses with him daily and a command comes there should be no question or hesitation. Obey God and do what he says. I love POFW!

  11. This chapter confused me a bit but after reading it over again again and the comments above it does make sense . To be anointed and given orders by our God will always make us successful at what he asks us to do.

  12. “And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.”
    ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭9:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We see here that Jehu was known by the way he drove. How is our drive? Are we quick, proactive, eager to reach the lost? Or are we laidback, reactive, and in waiting? I pray we have a Kingdom mindset, ready and willing to keep going, no matter what comes our way.

  13. 2 Kings 9:3-6 NKJV
“Then take the flask of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, ‘Thus says the LORD: “I have anointed you king over Israel. Then open the door and flee, and do not delay.“So the young man, the servant of the prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead. And when he arrived, there were the captains of the army sitting; and he said, “I have a message for you, Commander.” Jehu said, “For which one of us?” And he said, “For you, Commander. Then he arose and went into the house. And he poured the oil on his head, and said to him, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘I have anointed you king over the people of the LORD, over Israel.”
    ‭‭
GOD can use anyone He wants to fulfill His will.
He used a servant who was obedient and bold enough to approach Jehu while he was with the other captains. Take him to the inner room and anoint him. Which was usually done by kings.

  14. The best time to attack.

15 But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

We find Joram nursing his wounds from the previous battle. He has no time to heal before Jehu is on his trail. Now the wounded man is defending again too soon to be successful. This is the law of battle, you have to attack and keep the pressure on the enemy while you have an advantage. This is how we must treat our adversary. When we overcome or we are delivered of something, it is not time to sit back and relax’, it is time to finish. We must keep the pressure turned up on the enemy by staying fully engaged in our P.O.F.W. Prayer, Outreach, Fasting, and Worship. When we do, we keep the enemy on his heals and he has no chance. It is time for the church to catch fore like never before and don’t let up when we got the enemy on the run.

  15. 2 Kings 9:3 & 6 (VOICE)
    3) ANOINT his head with oil from the bottle and speak these words: “This is the Eternal’s message: ‘I ANOINT you as Israel’s king.'” Then exit through the door quickly, and do not look back.

    6) Jehu stood up, and he and the young prophet entered the house together. The young man ANOINTED Jehu’s head with oil and spoke these words: This is the message from the Eternal, Israel’s God: “I ANOINT you as king over all of the Eternal’s people. You are Israel’s king.”

    1 John 2:20 & 27 (VOICE) says…
    20) You have been given an ANOINTING, a special touch from the Holy One. You know the truth.

    27) You have an ANOINTING. You received it from Him, and His ANOINTING remains on you. You do not need any other teacher. But as His ANOINTING instructs you in all the essentials (all the truth uncontaminated by darkness and lies), it teaches you this: “Remain connected to Him.”

God ANOINTED us when He filled us with the Holy Ghost.
    Say, “I AM ANOINTED!!”

18 So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.

20 And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

I am often the recipient of comments such the one here with Jehu, “for he driveth furiously” or the MSG version “The driving is like the driving of Jehu son of Nimshi—crazy!”

I finally have a scriptural understanding of why I do not like to be passed on the highway: I have a strong message and there are adversaries along the way. Jehu instructs those that come out to him to get behind him, (he passes them). Then when he spots the adversary he takes him down:

24 And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

MISSIONARY DRIVING SCHOOL teaches us that there are MISSIONS from the LORD that require haste and pinpoint accuracy to defeat a foe. King David concluded in his legacy:

1Sam. 21:8 And David said unto Ahimelech, … because the king’s business required haste.

On a MISSION to reach Fort Worth and surrounding areas, may JESUS help us to act and move with urgency, passing up opportunities that would detour us and speaking the WORD of GOD as a piercing 2 edged sword as an arrow that goes through the heart of every evil adversary.

  17. 30-31 When Jezebel heard that Jehu had arrived in Jezreel, she made herself up—put on eyeshadow and arranged her hair—and posed seductively at the window. When Jehu came through the city gate, she called down, “So, how are things, ‘Zimri,’ you dashing king-killer?”

Beware man or woman the seductive call of the world. Why does our pastor continue to tell us to pray and stay in the Word? Because of this very thing . Jezebel had decked herself up and when Jehu comes calling out she then threatens him by calling him Zimri . Her actions and words . I read Zimri had been king for a week and had been killed yet Jehu did not let her threatenings nor her seductive spirit detour him. And Jezebel was destroyed. The spirit of Jezebel lures , threatens and demands seductively manipulates . It can create an atmosphere of great entanglement. We must not allow this spirit to take hold of us men and women. We must rise up against it! I’ve been around men and women who portray this spirit and will eventually destroy the person with it. Jehu stood firm . Jezebel died and there was nothing left of her but her palms . How sad to gave been a King’s daughter and to have died such a treacherous way. Hold to the Word don’t allow anything anyone to lure you away . Guard your spirit. Be accountable to someone and any time you feel an uprising against authority quickly defeat it . God’s Word will help us to stay Spiritually FAT . Faithful Attentive and Teachable. Pray Read Reach and Guard yourself from anything that is unlike God .
Apply the fruit of the spirit daily in your life . Encourage one another daily . God helps us to be more like You . Let us truly Live and Give Jesus

  18. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
Wow, the Word of God is better than any movie on the one eyed devil. This is intense (especially when you listen to it on the dramatized e-sword Bible). The Word of God had been spoken for the house of Ahab and now was pay day. Yes it was cruel and yes it was gory, but we can not escape the judgement of the Lord. The same is true with todays church. The Word has been spoken and for those who reject Jesus, judgement is close even near to the door.

  19. 17 And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company.

The watchman can see things you can’t.
Our Pastor is the watchman on the wall, accountability is so huge for things like this. If Pastor doesn’t know where we are or what we plan to do then how can he help guide us. Remember not every open door is an open door of opportunity. There could be a door that opens and leads you straight to hell.

  20. 2 Kings 9:6 And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the Lord, even over Israel.

As we fulfill our commission, we also will be anointed! I am Anointed! keep serving Jesus !

  21. 36 Wherefore they came again, and told him.

The judgement of God did come upon Ahab’s family and Jezebel and he avenged Naboth’s death, and Naboth’s family too. We may not see the Lord’s judgment upon evil doers, but it will come. That being said, we must reach the children and plant the seeds of love, God’s love for them before this world steals their hearts and wrecks their lives. I think of the 100’s of children who have passed through our Sunday school classes over the years and pray the seeds of faith in a loving God are stirred up to bring these souls back to the apostolic church.

  22. 6 And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the Lord, even over Israel.

7 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel.

And he opened the door, and fled.

Jehu was instructed by the word of the Lord to destroy the house of Ahab and jezebel, he even slew the king of Judah for associating with the false Gods and not following the Lord God of Israel. Jehu took the commandment and went with a vengeance to fulfill the commandment. Once all the association of what God called whoredoms was taken out, there could be a renewing of the spirit of Israel and Judah. For the house of dark had been kept in the word of the Lord and it had to be returned to following God.

When you as a child of God bring forth things that are not of God it brings wickedness and sin into the kingdom. This will eventually bring forth the judgment of God. We as the church need to return back to the beginning and renew our love for God and renew our anointing for the kingdom of God to work in us to reach those that need to saved it is up to us to reap the harvest, but as the Bible states there will be a falling away before the great harvest. We must be prepared to stay grounded and rooted in the word so we don’t lose our footing in the kingdom. Let’s get ready for revival.

  23. 1 And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets,

We can all be used of God. Such an important task of anointing the next king of Israel was done by a son of the prophet at the instruction of Elisha. Let’s get out of our comfort zone and be obedient t to the spirit of God There are ppl waiting us to give them instruction so they too can be anointed to serve.

  24. 18So a horseman went out to meet Jehu and said, “The king wants to know if you are coming in peace.”
Jehu replied, “What do you know about peace? Fall in behind me!”

Peace, we all want it. For peace to happen, we have to be patient, kind and humble. Pray daily, and peace and calmness will come upon you, and peace will also translate to others.

Luke 10:6 If those who live there are peaceful, the blessing will stand; if they are not, the blessing will return to you.

  25. v36 Wherefore they came again, and told him.And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant, Elijah the Tishbite,saying, In portion of Jezeel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezeel;

    Judgment Is Certain
Judgment Is promised upon every individual for every work done in His life.
No one and no deed will escape the scrutiny of the all Almighy.
Jesus taught taught that we must even give account for every idle word that we speak. ( Matthew 12: 36)
We should be mindful with our day-to-day life.

  26. 2 Kings Chapter 9

God of Israel our God and Lord Jesus our savior does not receive pleasure in the destruction of humans. John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Nor should we seek pleasure seeing the wicked parish.

We know that there will be a further separation with those who take the Mark of the beast, I will weep because some of my love ones will receive the Mark. God does this to cleanse the earth of sin.

This is what we read in 2 Kings 9 Jezebel was wicked and her whole house and had polluted Israel with strange Gods. She also Killed the prophets of the Lord. God than anointed Jehu through a prophet sent by Alisha. Ahab house was all killed. God is not a respecter of people who work in iniquity. All that our Jesus has done he has done through Love. According to the word it is the greatest gift that remains. God is love. John 3:16 1Co 13:13 ¶ And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. (Love).

  27. “And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the Lord, even over Israel.”
    ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭9:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬
This leaves no doubt that this was the will of God being carried out by this young prophet. This is not an appointment by the people, or by the preceding king, but by the God.

  28. 10 And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

The wicked have followers and support in this world, however their eternal abode will be a place of solitude and torment.

  29. “And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.” 2 KIngs 9:10
“And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot. And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go see, now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s daughter.” 2 Kings 9:33-34

As it was spoken, there was only Jezebels skull, feet and palms of her hand to bury. Therefore what our Lord says, comes to pass. There was no body to bury her. She was cursed as she did much evil in her life. This is why we must obey God, do His will and love Jesus Christ with all our heart.
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  30. 6 And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the Lord, even over Israel.

7 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel.

God has given us the power and the anointing to destroy the enemy!

  31. 6 So Jehu left the others and went into the house. Then the young prophet poured the oil over Jehu’s head and said, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says : I anoint you king over the Lord’s people, Israel.
    2 Kings 9:6 NLT

It doesn’t matter your age to the Lord when he sees you passion and faithfulness for him. The Lord can use anyone he wants, even young or older. As we remain faithful unto the Lord follow his commandments he gives us more strength and wisdom to overcome our enemies daily. Blessings come from the Lord when you do what is right and remain faithful to his commands. Remember with God you can and will overcome anything, don’t fear the enemy have faith in God. As you remain faithful God can use you to help do wonders in someone’s life.

  32. 7 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel.

Those that go against God or his people will suffer the consequences. You can’t disrespect God and expect to get away with it. When you go against God’s people, you are going against God. We are God’s ambassadors. So anything against an ambassador is a strike against God. Don’t let the enemy fool you into thinking that you are alone. As long as you do the will of God, he is on your side. His word says he will never leave nor forsake us.

  33. 6 And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the Lord, even over Israel.

You are anointed. On Sunday night Pastor Watts taught a message about being anointed. We are all anointed because we have God in us. When the spirit of the Lord comes upon us, we are anointed! We don’t have to fear of anything cause God has anointed us! Many people are afraid of the enemy, because they don’t realize who we have on our side. We can not let the enemy fear us, cause that’s what he wants. We must stay strong and united cause with Gods help we can do anything!!! I pray tonight that you realize that…..YOU ARE ANOINTED!!!!

  34. 37 And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

She was devoured to the point that no one recognized who she was. This is what should happen when the spirit of Jezebel arises in someone’s life. Prayer should be done to cover the person to the point that the spirit flees and have no more power of them. The spirit is devoured by the power of prayer to the point that that person is a new person in Christ.

We have dominion over spirits through the Holy Ghost. We must learn to speak the name of Jesus and watch God work in mighty ways.

  35. 30 And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.
31 And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

Here Jezebel not only guzzied up, but she decided it was in her best interest to “mock” Jehu.

32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.
33 And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

She may not have ended this way or even had such a gruesome death had she not felt the need to mock Jehu, however, I do feel as though this was a regular characteristic of Jezebel. I feel as though she was one to continually mock and patronize all around her. She was the type to make everyone else feel small and belittle them to ensure she was always the top of the food chain.

34 And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s daughter.
35 And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

Gruesome. . . Gruesome death. . . Yet fitting. Don’t play with God! A bad outcome of sin may not happen immediately, however, you keep playing with God and it comes back.

This paints such a clear picture of this almost “circle of life?” and yet this painted picture is still stated so poetically and eloquently. Any other author would have not written or paired this picture so eloquently.

  36. Its interesting how people can be identified by the way they do something. This is what the world sees. The world sees our differences and can pick them out. It makes us get noticed. Getting noticed gives glory to God, especially when people start asking questions.

  37. 37 “…no one will be able to recognize her.”

We know the end result of sin is death.

You can also see the struggles of sin take hold on the body. If you continue down certain paths, you will only come out of the other end as unrecognizable.

Your actions can result in anything. But instead of your mediocre or unpleasant results, why not live for Jesus? Why not give it al to Jesus?

And instead of becoming unrecognized by the church, become unrecognized by the church.

Allow God to change you from the inside out to impact all those around you.

When you give and live it all for JESUS – ANYTHING can HAPPEN!

  38. “When they returned and told Jehu, he stated, “This fulfills the message from the Lord, which he spoke through his servant Elijah from Tishbe: ‘At the plot of land in Jezreel, dogs will eat Jezebel’s body. Her remains will be scattered like dung on the plot of land in Jezreel, so that no one will be able to recognize her.’””
    ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭9:36-37‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jehu was filling the Lord prophecy because he was in his will. We need to be apart of God will for we will take out those who oppose his kingdom. Let be part of his kingdom and expand it.

  39. “So Jehu left the others and went into the house. Then the young prophet poured the oil over Jehu’s head and said, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I anoint you king over the Lord’s people, Israel. You are to destroy the family of Ahab, your master. In this way, I will avenge the murder of my prophets and all the Lord’s servants who were killed by Jezebel.”
    2 Kings 9:6-7 NLT

When the anointing was poured over Jehu he was chosen to lead Israel, to destroy the Ahab family that brought in sin to Israel. God’s anointing destroys every yoke, strongholds, and chains. We must put to death sin that is in our life. Do the will of God for His ways are greater than life the world offers.

  40. God’s timing is perfect. He knows what we need and when we need it. Stay in his word everyday.
Thank you Jesus for your promises and unfailing love.

  41. 35 And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

Elijah was now gone and even another man of God took his place, Elisha whom served him. Yet the word of God still remained to be fulfilled. Just because it tarried didnt mean it was not going to come to pass.

  42. “King Joram demanded, “Do you come in peace, Jehu?” Jehu replied, “How can there be peace as long as the idolatry and witchcraft of your mother, Jezebel, are all around us?””
    ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭9:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬
We must call out what is evil. We can’t stand for immortality and anything that allows sin to be in a spotlight. Us as Christians must protect ourselves and the right to defend ourselves what is HOLY.
