2 Chronicles 25

Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

Now it came to pass, when the kingdom was established to him, that he slew his servants that had killed the king his father.

But he slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the Lord commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.

Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, according to the houses of their fathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred thousand choice men, able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield.

He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver.

But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the Lord is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim.

But if thou wilt go, do it; be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down.

And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The Lord is able to give thee much more than this.

10 Then Amaziah separated them, to wit, the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great anger.

11 And Amaziah strengthened himself, and led forth his people, and went to the valley of salt, and smote of the children of Seir ten thousand.

12 And other ten thousand left alive did the children of Judah carry away captive, and brought them unto the top of the rock, and cast them down from the top of the rock, that they all were broken in pieces.

13 But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Bethhoron, and smote three thousand of them, and took much spoil.

14 Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.

15 Wherefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?

16 And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king’s counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

17 Then Amaziah king of Judah took advice, and sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us see one another in the face.

18 And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.

19 Thou sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to thine hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?

20 But Amaziah would not hear; for it came of God, that he might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought after the gods of Edom.

21 So Joash the king of Israel went up; and they saw one another in the face, both he and Amaziah king of Judah, at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah.

22 And Judah was put to the worse before Israel, and they fled every man to his tent.

23 And Joash the king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, at Bethshemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the corner gate, four hundred cubits.

24 And he took all the gold and the silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of God with Obededom, and the treasures of the king’s house, the hostages also, and returned to Samaria.

25 And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.

26 Now the rest of the acts of Amaziah, first and last, behold, are they not written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel?

27 Now after the time that Amaziah did turn away from following the Lord they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent to Lachish after him, and slew him there.

28 And they brought him upon horses, and buried him with his fathers in the city of Judah.

  1. 1 Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

Do all that you can with a heart that is set on the Lord when it comes to following the commandments and the word of God. We have to give it our all and not just part way but all the way, with everything that we have. Even when it appears we have nothing to give, God can take a willing heart and multiply your ability and show you favor that no man can show or give. God can open doors that no man can open. This process may seem to be a difficult one but with the power and anointing of God, you can conquer mountains and remove any obstacle. But know this if you do it with hidden motives or hidden agendas, you might as well be as the heathen and be full of sin. Because your intentions will not align up with the will of God. Your heart will not be pure but tainted.

If anything that we learn Amaziah is that no matter how much we want revenge for short comings and things that the enemy did, we have to do what we thing God would do in the same situations and seeing things through his eyes. This can only be achieved with Prayer, Fasting, worship, and seeking the will of God. Nothing that is done is going to be easy, there will be trials and tribulations, but the anointed will be able to stand the test. That is the purpose of the church in this end time outpouring of the Holy Ghost. We have to be ready for the dinner and prodigal to return home and receive them with love and compassion. Let God be visible through us each day that we are able to represent the kingdom without limitations.

    Live Give Jesus2!

  2. 15 Wherefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?

    Preach it preacher!

  3. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

Attitude!!!! When I read this verse it reminded me of how some people go through the motions. I know because before I got the Holy Ghost I was Catholic and I wanted to go to my aunts Pentecostal church and my mother wouldn’t let me. It got so bad that my mom would drag me to church and I did everything I was supposed to do but I just went through the motions, my heart was not in it. I did it because I was told to do it, because it was the law, and because I was doing it to honor my parents. Once I moved out of the house and went to the Army, I was invited to a Pentecostal church in Hawaii where I was station and I got baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. I can’t explain what a change that was, I couldn’t wait to go to church. I loved serving, fellowship, prayer, studying God’s word, I could of spent 24/7 at church just loving my CHRIST and my Brothers and sisters!! There is such a great joy when you do what is right in the eyes of God with the right attitude!!!

  4. Verses 7-8 MSG “A holy man showed up and said, “No, O King—don’t let those northern Israelite soldiers into your army; God is not on their side, nor with any of the Ephraimites. Instead, you go by yourself and be strong. God and God only has the power to help or hurt your cause.” You have to be careful who you try and recruit into your circle. Sometimes, it may seem you are all alone; but, it could be a time of strengthening and just know that your not alone….God’s on your side. Isaiah 41:10 ERV says “Don’t worry—I am with you. Don’t be afraid—I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will support you with my right hand that brings victory.”

In the end of the chapter, we see how quickly Amaziah went from listening to the prophet to shutting up another. We may think…..oh, I would never do that; but, in all reality it’s exactly what we do when we don’t stop and listen to what the Lord is trying to tell us through the man of God. Heed the warnings and don’t let your pride get in the way as Amaziah did. Proverbs 16:18 MSG says “First pride, then the crash—the bigger the ego, the harder the fall.”

  5. I agree about attitude! When living for God with a right heart and all the other positive things you need God will keep you and bless you more than you ever imagined. The reading we had today is another example of what happens when your heart is not in the right place. Be a person of your God!! Honor and think of him each step of your way! You will never lose with God!!

  6. 2. Amaziah did what was pleasing in the LORD’s sight, but not wholeheartedly.

    14. When King Amaziah returned from slaughtering the Edomites, he brought with him idols taken from the people of Seir. He set them up as his own gods, bowed down in front of them, and offered sacrifices to them! NLT

Amaziah didn’t serve God with his whole heart, and ended up worshiping idols.
If we don’t serve the one true living God with our whole heart, it leaves room in our heart for other gods, bur God is a jealous God; He doesn’t want to share space in our heart with
anything, so he will just move out and let them have it all.

    Psalm 119:2
Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. KJV

  7. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

God looks at the heart of man. Obedience is good, but submission is even greater. Where does your heart lie? We can’t just go through the motions, we must serve and love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength!

  8. 2 Chron.25 : 1-2 Amaziah was twenty-five years years old when he begin to reign, and he resigned twenty- nine years in Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.
( 2) He did right in the Lord’s sight, but not with a perfect or blameless heart.
Prov. 5: 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are issues of life.
The Scriptures indicate that he did that which was right, But not always with a perfect heart.
The guestion is my heart and mind right before the Lord!
Am I doing what please’s the Lord !
    Having the right attitude!
Prov. 8: 13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Lord help me do what pleases you .

  9. 25:7 but there came a man of God saying
I king let not the army of Isrrael go with thee

For the lord is not with Isrrael to wit
With all the children of Ephraim .
    —-
God loves us, he has said he will never leave us
    Nor forsake us.
As a Good father. He protects us . He shows us here how he would send people of God to give us straight word from him. On what to do, and not to do….
In his mercy He even goes farther with saying why
    He is doing it.
    Anyways..
🙏 that I may listen and pay attention when God sends
That person to me at the appointed time.
    ( that device moment.)

  10. 2 Chronicles 25:2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with the perfect heart.

It pays to do right with all your heart mind and soul concerning God’s Kingdom.

  11. 2 “And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a loyal heart.

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

14 Now it was so, after Amaziah came from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the people of Seir, set them up to be his gods, and bowed down before them and burned incense to them.”

““Now therefore,” he said, “put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the LORD God of Israel.””
    ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭24:23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

You can’t be on the fence when serving God. Either you are with Him or you are not. Serve Him with all of your heart.

  12. 9 And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The Lord is able to give thee much more than this.

GOD CAN DO ANYTHING!!! EVERYTHING IS THE LORD’S!!! IF HE IS LORD HE DOESNT HAVE TO ASK FOR PERMISSION FOR ANYTHING, WHY? BECAUSE HE IS LORD OF ALL!!!

  13. 15 Wherefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?

16 And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king’s counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

God has given you the desires of your heart and you ruin the relationship with God to worship something else. You worship other things when you know God has done nothing but love and support you.

  14. 15 Wherefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?
16 And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king’s counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.

Something that’s always baffled me is how people can serve their own god when that god is absolutely powerless to deliver them from anything; however the Creator and God of this universe which has all that power and ability with love and mercy and people yet to acknowledge Him for any of it. This Scripture shows you God’s mercy and God’s limit. He allows the opportunity to repent but where the line is drawn is when you reject that chance. God’s mercy may endure forever and his race maybe everlasting but that doesn’t mean God won’t execute righteous judgment on the people who refuse to receive that Grace and mercy. it’s only ever lasting and enduring as long as it’s being assault and used. God cannot help an unrepentant heart. That’s why he came over to his own desires and lust. The Bible says that God would allow us to be hardened if that’s what we so choose and that’s exactly what happened here

  15. iLove the Kingdom
Wow, such a promising start became such a horrible ending for Amaziah. He practiced the law and listened to the prophets until the victory at Edom. This victory actually became his very defeat. His heart was filled with pride and he brought the gods of Edom and bowed down to them.

Some people wonder how Amaziah could start off righteous and end up as a idol worshipper, but the same concept is true with folks today. We can start off well in the Lord but it doesn’t mean we will not bow to the things of this world.

Let’s stay strong until the end.

  16. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

    Psalms 51
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

  17. 16But the king interrupted him and said, “Since when have I made you the king’s counselor? Be quiet now before I have you killed!” So the prophet stopped with this warning: “I know that God has determined to destroy you because you have done this and have refused to accept my counsel.”

We all need counseling from time to time. No matter how old, young or mature you are in Christ, we all need guidance. You can’t ask for advice when you think you need, but allow others come to you. Listen to others, as God may be using them to counsel and provide wisdom to you.

Proverbs 19:20 Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life.

  18. 2He did right in the sight of the Lord, yet not wholeheartedly. Amp

We can do everything we know that is right and say we love the Kingdom of God but if our heart and soul is not in it then we are accomplishing nothing. We have to have complete sincere and commitment in serving the Kingdom.

  19. 14 Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.
15 Wherefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?

Common sense should have prevailed when Amaziah decided to worship these idols, but Satan has a lure attached to all his devices. These lures are subtle and appeal to our human nature even, but are traps for the soul. We must serve God with our whole heart so we are not led astray to serve our own flesh.

  20. LIVE-GIVE JESUS2
    TRUST IN GOD

6 He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver.
7 But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the Lord is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim.
8 But if thou wilt go, do it; be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down.

We have great illustration here of the value of submitting to the man of GOD. A young man doing a natural thing of building up his army, team, ministry to have advantage in battle.

But we learn the danger of having the wrong people on our team, in our army. The man of GOD gave warning and instruction to fire, cut off or separate from the men he had just hired.

    1. The King could have sought the man of GOD first and saved his money. But this one cost him.
    2. Making the tough decision is taxing on Leaders and not everyone will understand the decision.
    3. Obedience is often a matter of Victory or Defeat.

Often it is better to not do the job, than do the job with people that are in trouble with GOD. It is also wiser to TRUST IN GOD rather than trust in manpower.

May JESUS give us WISDOM as we War for our city of Fort Worth. Our family, friends, neighbors, associates, acquaintances and even our enemies need JESUS. They need us to guide them to JESUS by being obedient to the purpose and principal of The Kingdom of GOD.

  21. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

14 Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.

Amaziah’s heart was not right, therefore when he slaughtered the Edomites, instead of killing everything and destroying everything about them, he keep their idols and took them home and bowed before them.

How many times have we put things up before us and in our own way, we bowed before them? It may be money, it may be a job, it may be a sport, it may be entertainment/recreation — there are many things that can become idols in our lives, not necessarily that the thing itself is wrong, but because we give more time to it than we do to the Kingdom of God. One of the ten commandments is “have no other gods before Me.”

While listening to the bible this morning, the scripture that stuck out to me was Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Daily I have to examine my life to ensure that I am not allowing little foxes to spoil the vine – I am not allowing little things in to take my time, talent and treasure and become gods in my life.

  22. 1 Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

3 Now it came to pass, when the kingdom was established to him, that he slew his servants that had killed the king his father.

    Romans 12:19
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Amaziah had malice in hidden in his heart and chose to take vengeance into his own hands. So many times we don’t consult with God about these kind of situations. If we choose to be silent, God will handle the situation without us getting our hands dirty.

  23. 2 Chronicles 25:6-9
    6) He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver.
    7) But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim.
    8) But if thou wilt go, do it, be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: For GOD Hath POWER To Help, And To Cast Down.
    9) And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD Is Able To GIVE Thee MUCH MORE Than This.

GOD Hath POWER To Help, And To Cast Down.
The LORD Is Able To GIVE Thee MUCH MORE Than This.

    “My GOD Can Do ANYTHING!”
    My GOD Can Do ANYTHING
    My GOD Can Do ANYTHING
    HE’s Got The POWER
    HE’s Got The POWER
    HE’s Got The POWER
    HE’s Got The POWER
    My GOD Can Do ANYTHING
    MY GOD Can Do ANYTHING

  24. 8 But if thou wilt go, do it; be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down.

I believe it’s important to remember what our God is able to do. He can lift up or bring down. Don’t ever get to the point where you think you’re to good for God to reprimand. He chasten whom he loveth. Our God still holds all power and is able to do all things.

  25. “Amaziah did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, but not wholeheartedly.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭25:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We can do a work unto god and his kingdom with no mistakes, but if our heart is not in it then it is pointless work. We are his disciples and we should take pleasure in serving god in his kingdom. If our heart is not in it then what’s the point. Let us refocus our mind and heart and be a willing vessel in his kingdom and not just do the work because we have to but do it because we love to.

  26. “And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.” 2 Chronicles 25:2

Amaziah was lacking a “perfect” heart, which he started out righteous but ended up worshipping idols. We must not half heartedly love the Lord, but trust in our Lord. Do not be deceived by the devil, as he is sly as a fox.

  27. 9 Amaziah asked the man of God, “But what about all that silver I paid to hire the army of Israel?” The man of God replied, “The Lord is able to give you much more than this!”
    2 Chronicles 25:9 NLT

God can do anything! There is not a thing in this world that the Lord cannot do for us. God sees us and our works for him, and the Lord has blessed us with everything! Let us remember we will never be better than the Lord, for God is greater than all things, he has the power to overcome and help us overcome all things in this world. I pray we give our all unto the Lord, that we realize that whenever in a situation to never give up for the Lord is with you and he can help you overcome all. Give the Lord thanks for he blesses us each day, and for he never stops blessing us!

  28. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

He had a heart issue that was not healed over time. Time doesn’t heal all wounds. He did right in the sight of God but in a moment of weakness he allowed himself to seek vengeance. His heart wasn’t right with God.

  29. Depending on God to keep Us
So thankful God is able to preserve His people without fault until we are in His presence .
We have the responsibility to content for the faith delivered to the early church as revealed in the New Testament.

  30. 15 Wherefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?

We should never have the intention to make God angry. We must always try to do right, cause there will be consequences of our actions. I pray tonight that we are doing right in His sight!

  31. ““You are saying, ‘I have defeated Edom,’ and you are very proud of it. But my advice is to stay at home. Why stir up trouble that will only bring disaster on you and the people of Judah?””
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭25:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Don’t get prideful! We have the victory through the One who is victorious and His name is Jesus. We are vessels ready to be used by Him to bless, encourage, or show Jesus to someone else.

  32. 2 Chronicles 25:19
“You are saying, ‘I have defeated Edom,’ and you are very proud of it. But my advice is to stay at home. Why stir up trouble that will only bring disaster on you and the people of Judah?”

Don’t let pride and hurts get you distracted from what God wants you to do

  33. Then Amaziah said to the man of God, “But what shall we do about the hundred talents which I have given to the troops of Israel?” And the man of God answered, “The Lord is able to give you much more than this.”
    II Chronicles 25:9 NKJV

Nothing becomes a loss when you obey God. It may seem to the human eye and flesh as if yo would be loosing out on something. Yet the Lord is able to give much more than that!

  34. “Amaziah did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, but not wholeheartedly.

Amaziah asked the man of God, “But what about all that silver I paid to hire the army of Israel?” The man of God replied, “The Lord is able to give you much more than this!””
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭25:2, 9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When we do things halfhearted we lose the right mentality and faith. We to have a desire to do things for the Lord including obeying his commands, do with love. We lose love when we don’t do things full heartedly.

  35. “When King Amaziah returned from slaughtering the Edomites, he brought with him idols taken from the people of Seir. He set them up as his own gods, bowed down in front of them, and offered sacrifices to them! This made the Lord very angry, and he sent a prophet to ask, “Why do you turn to gods who could not even save their own people from you?””
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭25:14-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When we are born again we become a new creature and all our sin is washed away, but just because we are now saved doesn’t mean we came to live the same lifestyle because there is a day coming we will be judged by Jesus in the pleasure of this world will not save us, after all, everything will all fade away but He will remain. Let your trust be Lord who saves, heals, and will never fail nor forsake you.

  36. 27 Now after the time that Amaziah did turn away from following the Lord they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent to Lachish after him, and slew him there.

People see what we do and when. They see if we will trust in him. They look to see our reactions match the actions properly. There is a fine line in which they watch to see our next move, . .. even some of the shortest and easiest of tasks. What do you decide and plan to set by in your small duties and actions???

  37. Who can judge the heart?

2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

It is the scariest thing and the most wonderful thing about God…. He knows your heart. You can fool everyone else but God judges your heart. Some people hide behind the statement “ God knows my heart” to hide the reality of their sinful situation but that statement does not help them in any way, it actually condemns them. God knowing my heart when it is right is great and it can lead me to rest when I have done all I can do. I can rest in the fact that God truly knows, but in the same since it can be scary if your heart is not right. Keeping a clean heart is everything in a Christians walk. You could have all the talent and anointing but your heart is not right, you will never succeed in the Kingdom. Let God be true and every man a liver, we need him to examine our hearts.

  38. 2 Chronicles Chapter 25

In the commandments God says: Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me..

Exo 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

2Ch 13:9 Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.

Who are we serving? Is it Jesus.

  39. 7 But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the Lord is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim.

8 But if thou wilt go, do it; be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down.

    He is in control.
God is in control in every situation. i don’t stand around trying to figure out what role God is playing today. I don’t say alright am i gonna get cast down or am i gonna be victorious. Well if you seek ye first the Kingdom you won’t have that worrisome feeling. God is gonna continue to put your enemies behind you and we are gonna continue to move forward. He knows whats before us so why not trust in him fully 100 percent

  40. Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.

Jehoaddan means pleasurable time spent with the Lord. It is our duty as parents to train our children how to have that same relationship with God.
