Acts Chapter 22 – FIRE2 – 22/40

Day 22: Ch.22. Paul is an example of a transformed life. Today he confronts an angry crowd that he would have gladly participated in just a few years earlier. Prayerfully thank God for His ongoing work of transforming your life and for the power of the Holy Ghost that preserves and sustains us.

Acts 22

Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.

(And when they heard that he spake in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he saith,)

I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.

And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.

As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished.

And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.

And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.

And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.

10 And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.

11 And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.

12 And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,

13 Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.

14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.

15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

17 And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance;

18 And saw him saying unto me, Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.

19 And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue them that believed on thee:

20 And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the raiment of them that slew him.

21 And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.

22 And they gave him audience unto this word, and then lifted up their voices, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.

23 And as they cried out, and cast off their clothes, and threw dust into the air,

24 The chief captain commanded him to be brought into the castle, and bade that he should be examined by scourging; that he might know wherefore they cried so against him.

25 And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned?

26 When the centurion heard that, he went and told the chief captain, saying, Take heed what thou doest: for this man is a Roman.

27 Then the chief captain came, and said unto him, Tell me, art thou a Roman? He said, Yea.

28 And the chief captain answered, With a great sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul said, But I was free born.

29 Then straightway they departed from him which should have examined him: and the chief captain also was afraid, after he knew that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.

30 On the morrow, because he would have known the certainty wherefore he was accused of the Jews, he loosed him from his bands, and commanded the chief priests and all their council to appear, and brought Paul down, and set him before them.

  1. In reading this chapter this morning, the thought that came to my mind was “Facing the Giants”. Even though Paul was willing to die for the cause, as he knew it was not about him; but, about the work of the kingdom through his obedience. He allowed who he was and born into, to speak for him. We can now do the same, as born again believers. Paul simply reminded them of who he was and gave a recount of how he had been transformed inside and out.

Ephesians 6:10-18 MSG – A Fight to the Finish

“And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no weekend war that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels. Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.”

  2. 3 I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.
4 And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women

Something I appreciate greatly about Paul’s ministry is that despite where he came from and the stuff that he had done he was never ashamed of his past. He knew that it was covered under the blood. He didn’t try to hide from it nor did he ever deny his fallacies, current or past, but rather used in to connect to the people that he was talking to. He didn’t boast in his accolades or credentials but did use them as a bridge so people would know who he was. Like-minded, we should never be afraid of our testimony. No matter how pure or dirty it may be. God raised us in the atmosphere that we were raised in for the very reason of being a witness to other people. Whether we came from a rough background of the ungodly or as a Holy Ghost Field apostolic home from birth, it can inspire and help the people that God brings to you

  3. Acts 22:9-10

And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me. And I said, What shall I do, LORD? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.

Some see the light but don’t hear the voice. I actually think those don’t hear the voice choose to not listen to the voice. God speaks to us in so many ways but we wrap ourselves up in our own flesh and deny the call of God tugging on own spirits. Jesus speaks in so many ways you can’t tel me you never heard God speak to you. Open your Bible that’s the first way he’ll speak to you, get to your knees and find an altar that’s another way….Jesus has given multiple opportunities for you to answer the call and I don’t think it’s ever too late.

  4. 9. And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.

We each have to hear the voice of God for our own lives, and everyone can see the results when we obey that voice.
Lord Jesus, help me be sensitive to hearing your voice and willing to obey.

  5. Acts 22 : 14-15-16 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shoulders know his will, and that Just One , and shoulders hear the voice of his mouth.
(15 ) For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.
( 16) And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
    ” Paul’s Journey to Jerusalem”
Get up and Arise up and Go and be a witness to this world just Like Paul did.
Pray Hard for this world to be saved in Jesus name.

  6. 9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.

As I was reading this chapter, this verse stood out to me as Paul was stricken down on the road to Damascus. While those that were with him saw the light of God but did not hear is voice and they were afraid. This is a great illustration of many of the people we will encounter today in this world. Many will be afraid because they see the light but do not hear the voice of God. It’s because they are surrounded by the darkness of this world. The scripture states that we have to be a light upon the hill that can not be put out but shine for all to see.

When those that are caught up in sin we will see that they may see the light and be afraid, but that is why we have to be the voice of the Lord while teaching them the truth. We have to lift our voices and compel them to listen to the voice of God as he calls them out of darkness into his marvelous light. We have to be prepared to make sure that they are discipled to take the word and learn from it. We will find that many will receive it, but there will be some that will ultimately reject God. No problem because as long as we do what God has commanded us to do, the blood will not be on our hands.

Keep preaching the truth, lifting your voices and holding fast to the faith that we will reap the harvest of this end time revival.

  7. 14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

He had a calling and now we get to see the unfolding of it. The Lord has led him on quite the adventurous journey. Paul was willing to follow anywhere the spirit led him. It’s time we become committed to following anywhere the Lord leads, no matter what the circumstances.

  8. 19 and I said, Lord they know that I imprisoned and beat
In every synagogue, them that believed in thee.

    —-
Yes, even Paul moved in fear and doubt…
    But he obeyed Jesus Anyways.
    Just do it!
The people knew who Paul was and what he did.
    His character was well known.
    But then one day…..

  9. 10 And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.

The does not want anyone to perish. The differance between Paul and the lost is that he compiled with the will of the Lord.

  10. Automatically Paul knew who it was when he was blinded.

There could only be one reason that such a supernatural thing happen like this.

He asked “who are you Lord?”

    His answered “I am JESUS”
With out a doubt Paul believed.

“And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭22:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  11. Paul was a great man that loved God. His teachings were excellent and in tune with Gods voice to him. We must learn from him and follow his examples. God is great and greatly to be praised.

  12. “6-8 “Now it happened, as I journeyed and came near Damascus at about noon, suddenly a great light from heaven shone around me. And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’ So I answered, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said to me, ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’”

Paul was not afraid to stand in front of a crowd of angry people who wanted to kill him and testify how God has changed his life from prosecuting believers to becoming a believer. We must put our personal shyness away for the glory of God. Don’t be afraid to share how God has changed you.

  13. Paul knew what he was doing, for he knew the law very well. He knew things will change as soon as they knew he was a Roman. He was confident in his speech and took the opportunity to Testify of what Jesus had done for him!!! Paul was a devoted Jew!!! He served his community and without having knowledge of what will happened Paul sets out to arrest those Jew that were called Christians because of the fact that they were devoted to CHRIST. Paul had an encounter with Jesus and goes blind for His glory is too strong. Jesus says just go to Damascus and there you will receive your sight and instructions of what I want you to do. From the moment he received his sight in Damascus and was told to become Jesus Disciple and to go tell the gentiles (that’s us) about The Salvation in Jesus Name Paul was a new creature. He was known throughout the land as the persecutor of Christians and all of the sudden he was one of the Christians. Could you imagine what all of them thought? How probably they didn’t believe his change was real? I know that when I came to Jesus feet and then returned to my military unit, they did not believe in my change. They kept pushing my buttons to see how I would react. They even said it to my face, that they would wait for me for I would be back. I won’t lie I fell many of times but I got up, dusted myself, and started all over again. They still waiting for me to return to my old self. There is a testimony in your change!! The only one that can change a person is Christ Jesus!!! It is up to you if you want that change. Thank you Jesus for saving me!!! Thank you Jesus for sending Paul to tell the gentiles about Jesus and His Grace!!!

  14. Acts 22
14-16 “Then he said, ‘The God of our ancestors has handpicked you to be briefed on his plan of action. You’ve actually seen the Righteous Innocent and heard him speak. You are to be a key witness to everyone you meet of what you’ve seen and heard. So what are you waiting for? Get up and get yourself baptized, scrubbed clean of those sins and personally acquainted with God.’

    Get personally acquainted with God!
Paul’s conversion and ministry truly depended upon him getting to know God for himself. Obedience in God’s word is wonderful and required yet when you get to know Jesus Christ personally everything truly changes. Obedience turns into a love of serving God. It becomes your life and you withhold nothing . Too many times people confirm to a religious group and truly have never found for their self who Jesus really is; thus just going along to get along or belong. It is time that we become personally aquatinted with Jesus Christ . I believe that this was the key to Paul’s ministry. I can teach and lead others but until they become personally acquainted with Jesus it will just be a religious act and too many times they struggle in their walk with God. In a true relationship with Jesus knowing Him will change your religion into relationship. Get acquainted with Jesus Christ. Know why you believe and then share it as Paul did .

“Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee” (Job 22:21).

  15. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2

29 Then straightway they departed from him which should have examined him: and the chief captain also was afraid, after he knew that he was a Roman, and because he had bound him.

I realize this world is not our home, Paul did too. I realize the system of this world is corrupt, Paul did too. I realize life’s not fair, Paul did too. I realize you should turn the other cheek, Paul did too. With all that being said, Paul refused to just surrender his rights as a Roman citizen. He refused to be beaten without stating his defense. We too should remember our rights as American Citizens.

  16. Acts 22:9,10 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me. And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for the to do.

When you hear the voice of God, do what the Lord says. Get up and go even if your friends/ family don’t hear of see what God is telling you to do.

  17. 17 And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance;
18 And saw him saying unto me, Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.

Our testimony is powerful to those who God has prepared to hear it while there will others who have stopped up their ears and hardened their hearts. Either way, it is our chance to give Jesus to someone, then God can water the seed that we have planted and bring it to fruitfulness.

  18. LIVE – GIVE JESUS2
    MY DEFENCE

1 Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.

My personal testimony is my DEFENCE. Too often we christians attempt to impress the people of the world by deep theological revelations. But as we learn here from the apostle Paul.

MY DEFENCE is MY TESTIMONY! My greatest line of DEFENSE in any and every situation is to share my own personal testimony. Not an argument over theological revelations. But telling others what JESUS has done for me.

I pray JESUS will give each of us today the opportunity to share our TESTIMONY as our own DEFENCE. If you are being accused, share your TESTIMONY, if your are being questioned, share your TESTIMONY, if someone asks you why you do this or that, share your TEStIMONY.

  19. Acts of the Apostles 22:10
“I asked, ‘What should I do, Lord?’“And the Lord told me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus, and there you will be told everything you are to do.’

    Obey the Lord

Love the Lord your God: Obedience can be to simply honor and praise God for your life and the blessings within.

We must focus to obey the greatest commandment of Jesus and love the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul, and mind, giving thanks to Him continually.

Love your neighbor as yourself: the next example of obedience is to love your neighbor as yourself. In order to love our neighbor, friends, and even family, we must forgive them for their trespasses against us. Matthew 6:14 tells us, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” Obeying God means putting his commandments above our desires to hold resentment towards others. Forgive and let go of anger!

Prayer: The Bible tells us to “pray without ceasing” in 1 Thessalonians 5:17. To live by faith means to live by prayer, commonly going to God in supplication and thanksgiving. Prayer is a form of obedience, as scripture says to humble ourselves and pray.

  20. 6 And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me.

7 And I fell unto the ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

8 And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.

9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.

Are you willing for God to blind you to be a witness of His power? I’m sure Saul wanted to do his own thing, instead of back-tracking.

  21. Hallelujah!

One day we lived bound by sin, pride, and a deep hatred for others. Most likely we said live for Jesus…Nah! But His love for us showed us different. You know the saying’Never say never.’ Yeah… I love the LORD JESUS and wouldn’t change Him for anything. I embrace His love and plan for my life.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭KJV

  22. Paul was truly “sold out” to being a christian and sharing his testimony everywhere he went, regardless of what his audience looked like. Knowing there might be consequences that would be adverse did not keep him from speaking to people.

We must take hold of some of that boldness. Many are so intimidated to talk to people about their testimony because may they don’t see it as the miracle it is that they are saved, or perhaps they feel that others will not be interested. If we can learn to convey the beauty of what God has done for each of us, and the true miracle it is to have the experience of salvation, we will see people coming to see what this Jesus is all about.

  23. Acts Chapter 22

The work of the Lord in Paul is great and his testimony great how the Holy Spirit leads him. We to who have the baptism of the Holy Spirit also may be lead by the Spirit. How are people over come bit by our testimonies and the blood of the Lamb,

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Have we arrived that we also loved not our lives unto the death?

  24. “Men, brethren, and fathers, hear ye my defence which I make now unto you.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭22:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

No one can tell it like you can. Your experience is your testimony. And no one can convey that message like you can. God has been so good for us not to share with others.

  25. 17 And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance;
18 And saw him saying unto me, Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning me.
19 And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue them that believed on thee:

When you pray and have a connection with Jesus he will always take care of you.

  26. 22The crowd listened until Paul said that word. Then they all began to shout, “Away with such a fellow! He isn’t fit to live!” 23They yelled, threw off their coats, and tossed handfuls of dust into the air.

Even after listening to Paul’s testimony, the crowd still didn’t believe. Some people are either prideful or just hard headed. No matter what you tell them about God, will refuse to listen. But hopefully one day they will get an understanding of God.

  27. Acts 22:15, “For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.’

In this chapter, we see Paul being a witness and giving his testimony of … What he was like before he met JESUS (vs.3-5); How he met and came to believe in JESUS (vs.6-16); and What JESUS was doing in his life now (vs 18-21).

We are His witnesses too. Share your testimony of… What your life was like before meeting JESUS; How you met and came to believe in JESUS; and What JESUS is doing in your life now.

  28. “(And when they heard that he spake in the Hebrew tongue to them, they kept the more silence: and he saith,)”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭22:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Usually when we start a conversation it’s about a topic we have common ground with the other party. This same principle can be applied to talking to others about Jesus. When we’re encouraging, witnessing, or testifying to others we should be able to relate with them about something. This allows them to se that we’re all human and go through. By Paul talking to the people in their native tongue he related to them and they listened. When we relate, we can lead others to Christ to have a relationship with Him

  29. On Acts 22 Paul had been led by our Lord Jesus Christ. He was temporarily blinded why he was still Saul. He was telling others of his testimony on how he used to be. He persecuted others and now he is leading gentiles and some jews to Christ. It is amazing on how Paul turned 360’s! Jesus Christ can help us all lead others to Him. Everything is possible with our Lord!
Thank you Jesus for this day!

  30. He got blinded cause of gods mighty light in the bible it says we are the light of the world. I am very grateful to live such a full live.

  31. It never fails!

10 And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.

Never fails to just ask God what he needs you to do!

Whenever I’m in easy or questioning I just ask God for word and what direction I need to go and he answers!

I’m so thankful for the direction God has led me in!

  32. “For you are to be his witness, telling everyone what you have seen and heard.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭22:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God brought us here to live a life worshiping him, spreading his good news telling the lost about him. God can use us in so many ways, but we have to be willing to sacrifice unto the Lord change our ways for the Lord and his word. As we speak the word of the Lord eyes are being opened realizing that he is the way of life, he is the way to salvation and a wonderful everlasting life. As God speaks miracles happen, bodies are healed sicknesses are removed lives are saved. I pray tonight that we do works of the Lord, that we obey and praise him daily.

  33. ““But the Lord said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!’ ” The crowd listened until Paul said that word. Then they all began to shout, “Away with such a fellow! He isn’t fit to live!””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭22:21-22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Some people may listen to the testimony that the Lord has given you. The truth will hurt people, but we must speak with boldness and love.

  34. 9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.

Many will see the light yet will not hear the voice of the light. Many will experience the moment with the light but will they come back transformed?

Lord Inwant to daily see you hear you and experience continual change that I may be more like you.

  35. ““Then he told me, ‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and hear him speak.”
Acts of the Apostles 22:14 NLT

God he chosen Paul to do His will. Paul obey the command of Lord and he listened and share the gospel of Jesus. God had said he will pour out His Spirit to all people, and we as His children have been chosen to go and do the will of God, to testify the salvation of the Lord. Let our faith be firm in God who is our help.

  36. 4 And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.

God wants to save and deliver everyone!!! It doesn’t matter who you are, or what you’ve done he wants you! He cares very dearly for each and everyone of us! I pray tonight that we are accepting His love, and giving it back!!!

  37. 9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.

When God has a word for you, it is not intended for others to hear. We must take the word God gives us and run with it. The devil would like nothing more then for us to sit on the word God has put within us. He knows that if he can get you to not move on the word that God has given you, then you are no threat to him. However, once we realize the power of the word of God, then that allows us to do great things.

  38. 10 And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do.

11 And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.

  39. v15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

The same Spirit that empowered them to be effective witnesses enables us to be powerful channels and outlets of blessing to proclaim to our world that Jesus is alive and still saves from sin.We must nor fail to reach our world for Him.

  40. 14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.

15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

We all have seen and heard things in our lives that could help others but if we hide our candle under a bushel we are no good to those people. God help me see the people that are hungry for you everywhere I go. Help us to show your light to all that are in this city.

  41. 21 And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send thee far hence unto the Gentiles.

22 And they gave him audience unto this word, and then lifted up their voices, and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth: for it is not fit that he should live.

There is no prejudice in the Kingdom of God. Thanks be to our Lord Jesus that has opened up salvation to all. There is no color, or race or nationality, but souls. Only souls.

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
    Ezekiel 18:4 KJV

  42. 14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

God has specifically chosen us for such a time as this. That we should be his witnesses! Are you a witness for the Almighty? Do you brag of His exploits? Do you tell others of His great works? Or is it a inconvenience, bother, or embarrassment to speak of His Name?? We need to get our hearts, minds, and tongue in check and speak of His Great Name!!

  43. 10 And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do

We’ve all been in a place where we just don’t know what to do, or where to start. And we find ourselves asking God “what do I do?”.

    His reply:
    Get Up, Arise and Go!

It’s when we stop moving that we become an easier target, get up and keep doing what you know to do.

  44. ““I asked, ‘What should I do, Lord?’ “And the Lord told me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus, and there you will be told everything you are to do.’”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭22:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Often times we are stuck and we look to god and ask him what do we do… but most times we don’t like the reply that ain’t given unto us. We should be willing and committed to doing what is told to us by god and not have a second thought of what he is telling us to do. Just like when taking a physical test they say go with the first answer you choose and don’t second guess.. well we should be like that in Christ. When he gives us instructions we should go with it and not second guess what he is telling us to do.

  45. “But the Lord said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles!’ ”
Acts of the Apostles 22:21 NLT

God will call is to do things we don’t understand or will be out of our comfort zone.
Jesus told peter to cast his net on the other side of the boat. Very simple yet unconventional.
