2 Chronicles 27

Jotham was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly.

He built the high gate of the house of the Lord, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.

Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.

He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third.

So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

He was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.

And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

  1. 2 Chronicles 27:2,6
[2]Jotham did what was pleasing in the lord’s sight. He did everything his father, Uzziah, had done, except that Jotham did not sin by entering the Temple of the lord. But the people continued in their corrupt ways.
[6]King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the lord his God.

God wants us to humbly obey him. Obedience to God should flow from loving and trusting Him and respecting that his way is best for us. That it’s not just a duty, and that took humility. Understanding obedience in this way was far more appealing to me than just falling in line. Seeking God and seeing my need for God meant I had to humble myself and admit that I needed and wanted the relationship. Humility brings healing

    2 Chronicles 7:14
Then if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, if they will pray and seek me and stop their evil ways, I will hear them from heaven. I will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land.

Humility starts with praying and seeking God. I have to stop any sin in my life that keeps me from God and relationships. When we humble ourselves, God promises to hear us. He promises forgiveness and healing. A humble spirit and a humble heart help us be willing to obey God.

  2. 5 He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third.

6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

Jotham fought against them and they were forced to pay tribute once again. His strength lay in the fact that he considered God in all he did.

  3. Verse 6 MSG “Jotham’s strength was rooted in his steady and determined life of obedience to God.” Same verse ERV “Jotham became powerful because he faithfully obeyed the Lord his God.” You have to have the right mindset as Pastor spoke to us last night. The Lord is my strength and that’s how Jotham found his strength because he purposely rooted himself in God. Be faithful and serve the Lord. Deuteronomy 11:13 AMP says “It shall come about, if you listen obediently and pay attention to My commandments which I command you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul [your choices, your thoughts, your whole being]—”. John 12:26 AMP also says “If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]; and wherever I am [in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.” Jotham became powerful; so, let us powerfully LIVE-GIVE JESUS²!

  4. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly

The word of God tells us that jotham did what was right in the sight of God but the people were still corrupt. God still honored him for his leadership by giving him victories over the ammonites. It wasn’t the response of the people that recieved Gods favor it was his actions and that he lead himself first just as pastor taught yesterday, he took on the most important part, which was leading himself before leading the people

  5. 6. King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the LORD his God. NLT

God honors obedience, plain and simple. He won’t fail to bless those that are obedient to His Word. You may not recognize His blessings; they could be in what didn’t happen instead of what did, but they are there.

  6. 2 Chron. 3-4 He built the high gate of the house of the Lord, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.
    (4) Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built castles and towers.
Jotham was a good and prosperous king who reigned over Judah for sixteen years.
He also directed the construction of the wall of Ophel, a fortified eminence in the eastern part of the city.
He became mighty as he ordered his ways before the Lord, as his father, Uzziah, had done.
Keep our minds and hearts on Jesus and his word to have a right mind set.
    Live Jesus- Give Jesus.

  7. 6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

There are many things that one can do to become stronger physically and emotionally, but there is not but one thing that one can do to become stronger spiritually. That is have a relationship with God and obey his commandments and he will cause you to become stronger and mightier physically, mentally, and financially. When we seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, we will have the ability to overcome our enemies. Just as Jotham prepared his ways before the Lord, we have to prepare ourselves. That includes prayer, fasting, reading the word of God, and it includes building our altars for more sacrifices. The Lord orders the steps of a righteous man especially those that seek him first.

It’s time church to bring yourself back to the place where it all began for each of us and fall in love with Jesus all over again. It’s time to be the one that He called us out of darkness into his marvelous light to be.

  8. “Jotham rebuilt the upper gate of the Temple of the Lord. He also did extensive rebuilding on the wall at the hill of Ophel. He built towns in the hill country of Judah and constructed fortresses and towers in the wooded areas. Jotham went to war against the Ammonites and conquered them. Over the next three years he received from them an annual tribute of 7,500 pounds of silver, 50,000 bushels of wheat, and 50,000 bushels of barley. King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:3-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When he started rebuilding things for the Kingdom of God, Jesus began to bless him. When restoration was happening blessing began to pour down upon him and his kingdom. This is one of the great things that happen when you seek first the Kingdom

  9. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly.

We can be assured of blessings when we please the Lord, even when those we lead rebell against righteous living.

  10. 2 Chronicles 27:6 So Jotham became mighty because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

He chose not to do as his Father did, he chose spiritual things.
The heart that is prepared before the Lord is where God s mighty acts will be done.

I Samuel 7:3 And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, if you do return unto the Lord with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the Lord, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.

Proverbs 21:29 A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way.

    Seek God and be obedient

  11. 6 so Jotham became mighty because he prepared his ways
    Before the Lord his God.
    —-
Because he prepared his ways before his God….
    And this was no secret….
He made up his mind , Gods will, not his.he was fully devoted to the Lord
    He put God first
He got dress for success.( spiritually speaking)
He shows me he was a wise man.

    • The only thing .. I wonder why he did not enter into the temple of the Lord
      Something g hindered ???????
      ( meditating on this..)

  12. Waking with God is so much rewarding then falling to society’s standards.

“King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We all face this battle every day. Do we wake up every day and commit the day to the Lord? Is it that easy? No. Everyday we have to decide for ourselves that TODAY I WILL SERVE THE LORD.

the reward is so much greater when we decide to follow Christ. The ways of the world will look tempting but fight that good fight of faith.

  13. ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:6‬ ‭NLT. King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God.”

‭‭Obedience is important to God. He blesses those who obey His word. Remember, blessings are not always material things.

  14. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

This was one of the righteous kings of Judah. It’s refreshing to see a king do righteously for a change. This king did the will of the Lord and therefore we see the blessings of God on his life. God is the One who gives us the power to be prosperous, mighty, and blessed. Thank You Jesus for great examples in your Word. The sad thing is Jotham would have an evil son who would take his place. Jotham did have favor, but it appears he lacked influence. Even the citizens that King Jotham lead were evil.

2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly.

  15. 2 Chronicles 27:6
“So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God.”

We too can prepare our ways before the Lord our God by ordering, directing, and guiding our ways according to His Word and His Will.

  16. We must live in obedience to God if we are to be successful. He is our strong tower and our all in all. I love POFW LIVEJESUSGIVEJESUS2

  17. 6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

It is a very simple recipe for success. He became mighty because he prepared his ways before the Lord. Winning every day is simple to us. We must only put God first and prepare with him. When we get in the presence of God first thing in the morning and read his word, not only is his ways fresh on our mind for the day but we are fresh on Gods mind for the day. When his word is the first thing we digest in our minds, we are prepared to think like him the rest of the day. Let this mind be in me which was also in Christ Jesus. If we don’t read his word, and adhere to his teachings, we are not only not prepared, we cannot be called a Christian.

Lord I pray today that I see through your eyes and feel with your heart.

  18. 2 Chronicles 27. Message

Jotham’s strength was rooted in his steady and determined life of obedience to God.

Strength comes from perseverance. Jotham followed after God not man. I truly believe if we become rooted with determination in God’s Word no one can separate you from God. Fad , fashion the In thing , the latest game , the latest gossip are so many times detours that cause some to slip . Yet if we set our affections on the things above as scripture says then we too can be rooted , steady and determined with a life of obedience to God.
My Living for God comes easily for it is not a mere Living for God but it is Loving God and that makes a difference. My prayer today God my Savior don’t ever let me put anyone or anything before You. Let me Love and not just Live . Let my walk be a steady rooted walk daily…In Jesus name.
Oh how I love the peace only You can give oh how I want others to know Your peace . In Jesus name.

  19. Vs -6
Jotham did not duplicate the foolish pride of his father, but found his success in spiritual things. The heart that is prepared before the Lord is the soil in which God’s mighty acts can be grown.

  20. 6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

When you consort everything with God He will make sure that His hands will be all over everything you do showing that you are blessed above ALL!!! Thank you Jesus for always keeping everything around me and everyone Blessed beyond our imagination!!!

  21. 6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

When we are obedient and faithful to God, He will always show us favor and lead us to greater things. So always bring your considerations before the Lord when preparing your ways – are you and your decisions in line with His Word? Stay submitted.

  22. LIVE – GIVE JESUS
    HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL

6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

Not every Biblical principal is a clear statement of application. But, I believe this is one of the clearest statements I have read in a while.

Prepare your ways before the LORD and be mighty or SUCCESSFUL.

The word “MIGHTY” is in the Hebrew “chazaq” and means to be: strong, courageous, to prevail or sustain.

  23. He had spend 16 years in Jerusalem and that’s where
His mother had them so ever
    Name that comes from them
    Is from
    Jerusalem.

  24. AMP – 2 He did right in the sight of the Lord, in accordance with everything that his father Uzziah had done; however, he did not enter the temple of the Lord. But the people continued behaving corruptly.

He did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and did great things in the eyes of the people in leading them in victory, yet he forsook going to the temple of the Lord, therefore he was unable to influence people to leave their corrupt lives behind and turn back to God.

Living in this world, we may have great influence in business and success and in people’s eyes we are doing everything right, yet if we do not take our families to the temple, and teach them the ways of the Lord, we have failed to influence people in the right manner.

The old song “Only One Life” reminds us that we only have one opportunity at this thing called life. It doesn’t matter what we gain in material things, and who we influence in the world of success, only the treasures we lay up in heaven is going to matter in the end.

    ONLY ONE LIFE

    It matters so little
    How much you may own
    The places you’ve been
Or the people that you’ve known
For it all comes to nothing
    When placed at His feet
    It is nothing to Jesus
    Only memories to keep

You may take all the treasures
    From far away lands
    Take all the riches
You can hold in your hands
    And take all the pleasures
    That your riches can buy
    But what will you have
When it’s your time to die

    The days pass so swiftly
    The months come and go
    The years melt away
    Like new falling snow
    Spring turns to summer
    And summer to fall
    Autumn brings winter
    Then death comes to all

Only one life, so soon it will pass
Only what’s done for Christ will (ever) last
Only one chance to do His will
So give to Jesus all you days
It’s the only life that pays
When you recall you have but one life.

  25. “He fought also with the king of the Ammonites, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In a short study of the Ammonites, I learned that they were descendants from Abraham. They originated from his Nephew Lot and Lot’s younger daughter (Genesis 19:38). They were somewhat nomadic, moving from place to place to conquer land. And they were not very kind to Israel. Also, they served the god of Molech or Milcom which was human sacrifices. Another thing I learned was that one of  Solomon’s wives, Naamah was a descendant from Ammon and she was the mother of Rehoboem.

The Ammonites are a type and shadow of the lust of the flesh. The fact of they’re origin and the god they served (human sacrifices) I see this scripture saying that Jotham fight and conquered the flesh. Which goes along with last nights leadership. The Leaders Most Important Responsibility…. Lead yourself! Go passed our own flesh and do what’s right.

  26.  2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly.
6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

Jotham did right and God made him mighty-he was able to fight the enemy and win, keeping the lands and people safe. But my question is: why didn’t he go into the temple himself and root out the corruption in his kingdom? Seems like he let people do their own thing even though he lived right before God. He prospered by God’s hand and that showed God’s blessing on him.

  27. 2 “Jotham did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight. He did everything his father, Uzziah, had done, except that Jotham did not sin by entering the Temple of the Lord. But the people continued in their corrupt ways.”

When Living and Giving Jesus we must be able to not be distracted by those around us. We’ve heard that leaders surrender privileges. There are going to be things that others can do, but we must remain faithful and continue to do what is pleasing in the Lords sight.

  28. 2 Chronicles Chapter 27

1 Jotham was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.

2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly.

In this Blog who were the influencers of Jotham the king? their were 3 major persons. First his father King Uzziah who taught him to rule as a king. His dad taught by example and taught by precept. His dad King Uzziah was a prideful man and broke the law of God by offering incense in the temple and not repenting and being angry at the correction was punished by being leprous in his forehead. Therefore he could not rule as king but was placed in isolation. that is why he never entered the temple in verse 2.

His mother was well trained by her father Jerushah, the daughter of Zadok.
Zadok was a priest and a seer. He helped King David move the the Arch of the Covenant to Jerusalem. He anointed David’s son Solomon to be King twice. She also trained her son Jotham from his birth.

Moses mothers name was not mentioned because of her righteous character. She was a slave girl and helped raise her son in the palace and taught Moses his heritage and Identity.

How are we raising our children?

  29. “So Jotham grew powerful, because he directed his ways before the Lord his God.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Obedience to the word of the LORD will take you far in life . I am safe in His arms. I couldn’t ever imagine life with my Saviour.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭KJV

  30. “King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬
We see the reason for the blessings God bestowed on Jotham. His first thought was loyalty to his God. He stayed faithful to the LORD his God. He walked in the belief in his God daily.

  31. 2Jotham did what was pleasing in the LORD’s sight. He did everything his father, Uzziah, had done, except that Jotham did not sin by entering the Temple of the LORD. But the people continued in their corrupt ways.

Yes, Jotham set the example by following God and being obedient. Yet the people didn’t follow his example. We all make our choice to follow God or not. I’m sure Jotham spoke of God, and praised him.

  32. “Jotham did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight. He did everything his father, Uzziah, had done, except that Jotham did not sin by entering the Temple of the Lord. But the people continued in their corrupt ways.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We should always want to please him and do what is right in his sight. This is why we pray daily and fast and get filled with the Holy Ghost daily. All of this because we want to make sure we remain in his will. We can’t continue to stay in our ways that aren’t of him but we have to realize that we are to honor and please him. Always ask him what I’m doing pleasing or glorifying him and if the answer is no then we must turn away from that because we want to always remain in his will and lead by example so others will see us and be like we are.

  33. 6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

There are no short cuts, we have to WORK to accomplish what Jesus has for us. Jotham “prepared”. He worked. We too must work; studying the Word, praying, and doing…

  34. “King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It’s amazing what happens when you live under authority. Success doesn’t compare. When you’re covered by the grace of God the impossible is possible, broken things are restored, and Light captivates and expels the darkness. All because we live under authority. Thank you Jesus for saving me!

  35. 6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

7 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars, and his ways, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

8 He was five and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.

9 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

When you listen and do what God has planned for us,God will partner with us.

  36. “Jotham constructed the Upper Gate of The Temple of GOD, considerably extended the Wall of the Ophel, and built cities in the high country of Judah and forts and towers down in the forests. He fought and beat the king of the Ammonites—that year the Ammonites turned over three and a quarter tons of silver and about 65,000 bushels of wheat, and another 65,000 bushels of barley. They repeated this for the next two years. Jotham’s strength was rooted in his steady and determined life of obedience to GOD.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:3-6‬ ‭MSG‬‬

This Scripture means that,Everyone should Be Obedient To God.

  37. “King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:6‬ ‭NLT

Living a obedient life leads to success because of obeying the Lord. Let His word be in our hearts so that we may speak His word with authority and sin not. To live and give Jesus is obeying God’s word nothing else can do.

  38. “Jotham grew powerful because he walked steadfastly before the Lord his God.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Jotham was powerful because of obedience to Jesus, if you want to be powerful obey the word of God.

-Jacob loves you all church 😀

  39. 2 Chronicles 27

Jotham did what was pleasing in the LORD’S sight. He did everything his father, Uzziah, had done, except that Jotham did not sin by entering the Temple of the LORD. But the people continued in their corrupt ways.

Because Jotham did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, he was blessed by God.

“Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the LORD, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.” Psalm 34:8

Are you a Jotham? We must follow and obey the commandments like Jotham. Jotham became a powerful king for he was obedient, because of his obedience we was able to rebuild his kingdom, and God’s kingdom. Be the Jotham in this generation.

  41. 6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

There is a direct corralation with pleasing God and being called mighty. We can be mighty in God, if we are willing to his work. By doing the work of the Lord, this pleases him. We are much better following after the one who is able to do all things.

  42. “King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God.”
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭27:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Living a life unto the Lord, being faithful and obedient even in the hardest times is the best. God puts us in trails but through it all at the end comes the best outcome. God will open our mind our hearts, make us wiser and stronger. As we live for the Lord we are rising higher and higher with him, and higher than the enemy daily. I pray that we become closer with God daily, that we keep and read his word in our hearts and mind and use it as a light in our path. With God comes victory!

  43. 3 He built the high gate of the house of the Lord, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.

We must protect ourselves from evil at all times. Nothing shall come against me! I pray tonight that we are not letting the evil over take us and following His word!

  44. 6 So Jotham became mighty, because he ordered his ways before the Lord his God.

When we are in His favor we can be mighty in everything we do. Why follow people you know going the wrong way when you can go the right way in Jesus!

  45. 6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God

To prepare!!! We should be prepared now, to begin to prepare when the circumstance arises is to fail!!! To be prepared is done in advance not in the moment of need. LORD help us and show us !!!

  46. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly.

I like how he did what was right . The king obeyed Jesus.

    -Bella

  47. So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

There is no substitute for due diligence. No substitute for hard work. And no substitute for discipline. He prepared his ways before the Lord. What a beautiful scripture. It doesn’t say that he was some “elite” person or some “chosen” one or some one of renown. Yet, it plainly describes it for you. He took action. He made up his mind and got to work. He prepared his ways. That’s the reason why he became mighty. You see an athlete that excedes and is very successful. You see the fame, perhaps popularity and even wealth. But do you see the work, the training, the choices, the things cut away and those added that will be of benefit? The discipline, long hours invested, the sacrifice…. the same way goes for the kingdom of God. I believe the apostle Paul put it this way referencing that we are running a race. That which purpose is to finish it. To do that takes endurance. When the Lord returns, will he find faith?

The best is that it’s oponen to anyone. Anyone that decides to put in the time, to invest, to get to know their God through his Word. Anyone that decides to prepare their ways.

  48. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly.

3 He built the high gate of the house of the Lord, and on the wall of Ophel he built much.

Doing right in the sight of God is so much more important than everything else. Some people will never understand but God is leading lives to do beyond themselves and do His will which may go against man’s agenda.

Let us be faithful to do the will of God!

  49. 2. And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly.

He did right in the sight of his father, but never went to the temple. The temple of the Lord was where the people would go to commune with God. Doing right is not enough. When we only do right we don’t change those who follow us. When we enter into the house of God and we commune with him our lives are changed. Not only do our lives change, but also all those who follow or listen to us as well. We have to stop just doing good and start doing good and living with/for God.

  50. 6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

Trust the process which you are going through. The Lord takes us through a process so we can learn and mature from it not to give up. Just like a baby takes time to learn and mature we do the same spiritually. We must prepare daily in prayer and His Word and never give up. We have to focus on the finish line (going to heaven) rather than what we are going through right now (trials and tribulations). We must build our faith, our courage, our strength, our knowledge, our wisdom, our prayer, our understanding, our maturity. All these things are preparing us. Stay firm in Jesus Name!

  51. 2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of the Lord. And the people did yet corruptly.

It’s funny to me that people would take advice from people that don’t have communion with God. I love how this young man, went against popular opinion. It’s a uncommon characteristic because most would do the opposite. We need to stand up for Gods word no matter our position.
