Isaiah 10

Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;

To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!

And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

For he saith, Are not my princes altogether kings?

Is not Calno as Carchemish? is not Hamath as Arpad? is not Samaria as Damascus?

10 As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

11 Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

13 For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:

14 And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.

15 Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.

16 Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

17 And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;

18 And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standard-bearer fainteth.

19 And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.

20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

23 For the Lord God of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.

24 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

26 And the Lord of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.

27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

28 He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:

29 They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.

30 Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.

31 Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.

32 As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

33 Behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.

34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.

  1. In the VOICE version this chapter’s caption reads “……How sad that it’s come to this! What is God to do with His children? God will not abandon them, yet neither will God put up with their destructive consumption, their greed and injustices. Indeed, their wrongdoing takes its own course of self-destruction, and God will not stop it. Sometimes God’s judgment consists of Him stepping back and leaving people to their devices—letting their will be done.” I heard on the radio yesterday that sometimes we need to thank God for what he has NOT answered of our OWN prayers! Just like the king of Assyria who thought he was invincible because of his so called OWN victories. You cannot become so arrogant/prideful and foolish enough to think that it’s all about you because God always has a purpose as he did with Assyria. Instead let us remember and holdfast to the word as our Proverb for today says in verses 20-27:

    “My son, pay attention to my words and be willing to learn;
Open your ears to my sayings.

    Do not let them escape from your sight;
Keep them in the center of your heart.

For they are life to those who find them,
And healing and health to all their flesh.

Watch over your heart with all diligence,
For from it flow the springs of life.

Put away from you a deceitful (lying, misleading) mouth,
And put devious lips far from you.

Let your eyes look directly ahead [toward the path of moral courage]
And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you [toward the path of integrity].

Consider well and watch carefully the path of your feet,
And all your ways will be steadfast and sure.

    Do not turn away to the right nor to the left [where evil may lurk];
Turn your foot from [the path of] evil.

  2. 27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

The church should not be afraid because the Lord of hosts will intervene, as he has done again and again. The church of the most high God will be free from the fear of the enemy domination.

  3. 27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

Just as in that time we see today a falling away from the truth and a compromised Church, which is attacked by its opposers. We can rest assured that the Lord will preserve a remnant of true belivers because the Lord is in ultimate control.

  4. 12. Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

    13. For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:

    14. And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.

    15. Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.

The tool that God was going to use to punish Jerusalem became arrogant and thought he had been doing all the work on his own. Now, because of his arrogance, when God is finished using him, he will be destroyed as well.

We get into trouble when we start thinking we’re all that and a bag of chips when God was in the background doing all the work.

  5. Isaiah 10:27 And it shall come to pass in the day , that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off my neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Matt. 29-30 Take make yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
    30) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

  7. But now watch this: The Master, God-of-the-Angel-Armies,
swings his ax and lops the branches,
    Chops down the giant trees,
    lays flat the towering forest-on-the-march.
His ax will make toothpicks of that forest,
that Lebanon-like army reduced to kindling. This is the Message translation

  8. 27 and it shall come to pass in that day
That his burden shall be taken away from of your shoulder
And his joke from off thy neck, and the joke shall be destroy because of the anointing.
    —-
    Hallelujah 🙌
Burden( a load, a heavy one, something difficult
Or unpleasant that we have to deal with…).
So what happen while caring that burden?
Two things: either the person will give up …
Or believe in the assurance we have from the word of God ,
Yes, that burden shall be destroyed hallelujah 🙌.
    Because of the anointing.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
( faith, perseverance, love, expectation, endurance
Patience, forgiveness, kindness, obedience, courage, victory and more faith)
Words I thought when thinking about the word anointing .

  9. What will you do when I punish you, when I send disaster upon you from a distant land? To whom will you turn for help? Where will your treasures be safe?
    Isaiah 10:3 NLT

There are no exceptions. You either serve the Lord or you follow idols. The Lord has promised goodness and favor if we are faithful. We cannot serve two masters, so we must choose everyday. I choose to love the Lord and serve Him!

  10. 17 And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;

Not just this verse or chapter but this whole section in Isaiah and in Amos shows you that God can be pushed so far that while his love is everlasting and his Mercy endures forever there are obvious stipulations that go with that. Not pushing or bringing about the wrath of God is usually contingent upon your obedience and devotion to him. This also shows that God deals with people in accordance to their actions as a country but as you can see that God is longing to be merciful to his children and thus takes no pleasure in it but is doing it because he is a just judge

  11. 13 For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:

Again SELF SUFFICIENCY is a sin that it goes unrecognized by many for they don’t even think they’re sinning. In EVERYTHING we do we should recognize God’s hands and give thanks and Glory to Him for without Him we are NOTHING!!!! We are what we are and we have what we have ALL THANKS TO THE ONE WHO GAVE HIS LIFE SO WE MAY BE SAVED!!!! HIS NAME IS JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR. Let go of the I did it attitudes and give ALL GLORY AND HONOR TO JESUS CHRIST!!!

  12. ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:13‬ ‭AMP‬‬ “For the Assyrian king has said, “I have done this by the power of my [own] hand and by my wisdom, For I have understanding and skill. I have removed the boundaries of the peoples And have plundered their treasures; Like a bull I have brought down those who sat on thrones.”

The Assyrian’s were so full of pride they thought God had nothing to do with their accomplishments. They took credit for their success. They were in for a rude awakening. In all we do always give all honor and glory to God.

  13. LIVE – GIVE JESUS2
    JESUS THE BURDEN LIFTER

27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

In the midst of proclaimed judgement, the LORD again speaks HOPE. This promise should encourage all believers to protect their FAITH and believe the promises of GOD that we have in Christ JESUS of HIS coming and Eternal Life with HIM.

JESUS came just as the prophet declared, JESUS death on the cross took away the burden of sacrifice of animals for us and JESUS resurrection destroyed the yoke of sin from off of us.

Why do people turn to a hopeless world and system for hope?

JESUS is my burden lifter, waymaker, yoke destroyer, soul satisfier, my savior, redeemer, hope and deliverer.

  14. Isaiah 10:1,2 Woe to those who decree unrighteousness decrees, who write misfortune, which they have prescribed to rob the needy of justice, and to take what is right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and they may rob the fatherless!

Psalm 58:2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

    Jeremiah 22:13 Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbor’s service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;

    Beware of treating followers unjustly!
God reserves a stern condemnation for oppresive leaders.

Leaders keep serving as these did: Abraham,Moses,Caleb,Samuel, Elijah, Isaiah

  15. 25In a little while my anger against you will end, and then my anger will rise up to destroy them.”

Yes, we all get angry over something. But don’t let that anger brew for a long time, don’t let it disturb you. Pray to God, and peace will come immediately. Learn to forgive and make peace.

  16. 20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

Even though many trials have come against the children of Israel, there will be as the scripture states that the remnants will soon return to the land of God. We find that even those that have been gentiles and adopted into God will be like the remnants of Israel. There will be a great falling away from God and many will turn their backs on God but in the end there will be a great gathering. For the power of God in all his might, will reign supreme among those that will come back to the throne of God.

We have to be ready to receive the many that will come back to God and be ready to love and show compassion to them. We have to be ready to stand before God and be judged accordingly. Let’s get ready church because we will need to be strong in God to make it.

  17. 1-4
A prophetic Word is pronounced against those administrators who pervert justice. These government officials have abused their power and are now called to God’s bar of just

  18. Isaiah 10
27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

    Because of the anointing !
God send your anointing and thank You for your promises even in the midst of judgement . There is hope for this world we must proclaim it everywhere we go. God’s Word .

  19. “When the Master has finished dealing with Mount Zion and Jerusalem, he’ll say, “Now it’s Assyria’s turn. I’ll punish the bragging arrogance of the king of Assyria, his high and mighty posturing, the way he goes around saying, “‘I’ve done all this by myself. I know more than anyone. I’ve wiped out the boundaries of whole countries. I’ve walked in and taken anything I wanted. I charged in like a bull and toppled their kings from their thrones. I reached out my hand and took all that they treasured as easily as a boy taking a bird’s eggs from a nest. Like a farmer gathering eggs from the henhouse, I gathered the world in my basket, And no one so much as fluttered a wing or squawked or even chirped.’””
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:13-14‬ ‭MSG

We all have learned throughout our years that pride is beginning of sin. So why continue to compromise your faith and live according to the ways of the world. The LORD searches the heart of man on all of our actions, let us continue to stay humble and serve in His kingdom.

“God can’t stomach arrogance or pretense; believe me, he’ll put those upstarts in their place. First pride, then the crash— the bigger the ego, the harder the fall. Moderation is better than muscle, self-control better than political power.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16:5, 18, 32‬ ‭MSG‬‬

“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  20. “You will stumble along as prisoners or lie among the dead. But even then the Lord’s anger will not be satisfied. His fist is still poised to strike.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬
This seems to be a little different rendering of the stretching of His hand. In this case, it is the wrath of God. Since they have turned from God, they will go into captivity. The wrath of God is not immediately removed, even after they are captured. They endure many hardships in prison.

  21. Isaiah 10:3-5
[3]What will you do when I punish you, when I send disaster upon you from a distant land? To whom will you turn for help? Where will your treasures be safe?
[4]You will stumble along as prisoners or lie among the dead. But even then the lord’s anger will not be satisfied. His fist is still poised to strike.
[5]“What sorrow awaits Assyria, the rod of my anger. I use it as a club to express my anger.

Turn from your ways and repent.

  22. 1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;
2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

We are living in the last days and God will judge the unrighteousness and evil people. But he is still calling for people who will work to bring in the harvest of lost souls.

  23. 1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;

In trying to be politically correct, our leaders are promoting and celebrating what God declares as sin. It is deceiving to like-minded people. Just because the government declares a thing to be right doesn’t mean God agrees. His word will never change and judgement comes from his word. We must line up with that word or suffer the consequences. Live Give Jesus and be the light to a dark world.

  24. “Doom to you who legislate evil, who make laws that make victims— Laws that make misery for the poor, that rob my destitute people of dignity, Exploiting defenseless widows, taking advantage of homeless children. What will you have to say on Judgment Day, when Doomsday arrives out of the blue? Who will you get to help you? What good will your money do you? A sorry sight you’ll be then, huddled with the prisoners, or just some corpses stacked in the street. Even after all this, God is still angry, his fist still raised, ready to hit them again.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:1-4‬ ‭MSG‬‬

After reading this why would you want anyone to be here when that day comes. This is all for the more reason to win more lost. We’re trying to save people from this day that’s coming. We gotta get to work and share this gospel in Jesus name!

  25. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2

For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent:

Hey yall, what I’m about to say might sound political but it’s not, it is simple truth. I listened to a lot of the speeches from our previous president and he did exactly what this verse describes in almost every speech. He would go into great detail in how he had done tremendous things…almost singlehandedly, for our country. This would almost always make me extremely nervous. The truth of the matter is, God don’t much appreciate the spirit of pride in folks. God don’t like it in me and you and God don’t like it in world leaders.

  26. AMP – 12 So when the Lord has completed all His work [of judgment] on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say, “I will punish the fruit [the thoughts, the declarations, and the actions] of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the haughtiness of his pride.” 13 For the Assyrian king has said,

“I have done this by the power of my [own] hand and by my wisdom,
For I have understanding and skill.
I have removed the boundaries of the peoples
    And have plundered their treasures;
Like a bull I have brought down those who sat on thrones.

We must be careful what we take credit for. We think we have accomplished things all on our own, but here we see God hates that kind of attitude. He declares that He will punish those that have this type of everything.

All that I am, or ever hope to be is only by the grace and mercies of the Lord.

  27. They will have judgment and they will
They take away the rights from the poor and right
People they were helped and when they gave
    Glory to god.

  28. 24 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

    1 Corinthians 9:24
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, † but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain

No matter what is going on around us we need to let God take care of that and keep running, to often we sit down on the park bench and become a spectator, God let us quit being spectators and get up and keep running today in you!

  29. Isaiah 10:12-16 (NLT)
    12) After the Lord has used the king of Assyria to accomplish his purpose on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, he will turn against the king of Assyria and punish him – for he is proud and arrogant.
    13) He boasts, By my own powerful arm I have done this. With my own shrewed wisdom I have planned it. I have broken down… and carried off… I have knocked down…
    14) I have robbed…. and gathered…
    15) But can an ax boast greater power than the person who uses it? Is the saw greater than the person who saws? Can a rod strike unless a hand moves it? Can a wooden cane walk by itself?
    16) Therefore, the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, will send a plague among Assyria’s proud troops, and a flaming fire will consume it’s glory.

We all are an instrument in the hand of God to be used for His Kingdom purpose, BUT be careful that you don’t get lifted up in PRIDE when you are used of God – Thinking more highly of yourself than you ought to think – because ALL GLORY belongs to Him.

  30. As I read today’s blog I thought about the wickedness of the President and his tribute to gay pride this month. He’s leading this country into hell. God help us and forgive our nation

  31. “The Lord, the Light of Israel, will be a fire; the Holy One will be a flame. He will devour the thorns and briers with fire, burning up the enemy in a single night.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As it has been said at the POFW before – Fire can be used to destroy or purify. In this case, both. Here we see God’s anger kindled against the people of Israel. He tells of using the Assyrians to capture His people and then He will destroy them with fire because of pride. Then the verses go on to say Israel will turn back to God after the Assyrians are destroyed. The fire both destroys and purifies!

  32. Isaiah 10

Pride! When Jesus helps you help someone else, make sure they know Jesus did this. You give the glory to God AND you may be witnessing to someone through this. The lost need to be encouraged through Gods love and know how Jesus helps you.
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  33. “The Lord, the Light of Israel, will be a fire; the Holy One will be a flame. He will devour the thorns and briers with fire, burning up the enemy in a single night.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Just like yesterday’s blog!! If we’re going to have a fire in our life. Let it be the FIRE of the Holy Ghost. Not the wildfire of sin

  34. “What will you do when I punish you, when I send disaster upon you from a distant land? To whom will you turn for help? Where will your treasures be safe?”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Warning comes before destruction. You can’t serve two masters. Jesus is the only way. He is the way the truth and the light. He lets us know time and time again what will happen if we choose not to follow him. Those materialistic things are not worth the souk being lost. We must seek first the kingdom of god. We have to live and give Jesus. He is the only way. There is no other way.

  35. 25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

  36. 25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction. H

  37. 11 Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

All idols should be disposed of. Idols are not always physical an idol can be a person or even a mental state. If we are to serve the Lord with all of our heart, we must get rid of anything that gets in the way. God has called us to do a work and only way we can do is to make sure there are no idols in our life and that Jesus is the center of life.

  38. “You will stumble along as prisoners or lie among the dead. But even then the Lord’s anger will not be satisfied. His fist is still poised to strike.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When your turn away from the Lord the enemy will try to get ahold of you and your life you will start feeling all the fear, anxiety, anger, and sadness that the Lord has removed from your life. There will be consequences. The Lord is the only way for us to go, he has our lives planned out he protects us help us grow and become wiser and stronger. I know we have had family lose touch with the Lord and I know we see where they are at now, so I pray tonight that God is first in your life, that you grow more in him make him first in everything. And after reach out to those once saved bring them home.

  39. “What sorrow awaits the unjust judges and those who issue unfair laws.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The judgement of sin. Unjust and sin will be punished by the wrath of God. Beware of the wrath of God, Draw others away from the wrath because it will be unbearable. Reach the lost.

  40. 3 What will you do on the day of reckoning,
    when disaster comes from afar?
To whom will you run for help?
Where will you leave your riches?

When you have bad days, go to God, He’s there for you, He’s a comfort in time of need, I know I will always choose Him.

  41. Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

Even the victory of the enemy is on the hands of God. The Lord will use whatever and whomever to accomplish his will. This scripture should really make us think and see who really is in control and should humble us to know that what we accomplish is because of him. He gives us breath and wisdom. He is the one that keeps our sanity. We are just a pile of glorified dirt. And it is His touch and His breath that gave us form and life. Therefore, we should always be careful when we boast and we should always give him the glory.

21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.

22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.

23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
    Acts 12:21-23

  42. 24 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

God does not give us the spirit of fear.

  43. “In a little while my anger against you will end, and then my anger will rise up to destroy them.””
    Isaiah 10:25 NLT

Merciful and Great is our God, He shows redemption to His people. We must endure firmly on God that we may not sin. God anger turns to those that rise up against us, giving us victory. God is exalted forever glorify and worthy of all our praise! Blessed it be the God my salvation.

  44. We stand for and only support one true living God! He is the light to all of our paths and much more! I pray tonight that we follow His word and it shall lead us to great amazing places!

  46. “In that day the Lord will end the bondage of his people. He will break the yoke of slavery and lift it from their shoulders.”
    ‭‭

  47. “After the Lord has used the king of Assyria to accomplish his purposes on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, he will turn against the king of Assyria and punish him—for he is proud and arrogant. He boasts, “By my own powerful arm I have done this. With my own shrewd wisdom I planned it. I have broken down the defenses of nations and carried off their treasures. I have knocked down their kings like a bull.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:12-13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

All glory be to our God!! It is not by our own strength but by His Spirit that we are victorious. He is the source of our power and wisdom.

  48. Therefore this is what the Lord, the Lord Almighty, says:

“My people who live in Zion,
do not be afraid of the Assyrians,
who beat you with a rod
and lift up a club against you, as Egypt did.
25 Very soon my anger against you will end
and my wrath will be directed to their destruction.”

I chuckled a little when reading this it’s like Gods saying my anger is against you but I will not tolerate anyone else bringing you grief. So soon my anger will turn from you to them. Let us be reminded that God has to correct us when we do wrong but He will not tolerate others tormenting His people.

Be repentant through the correction and patient in the process from His anger to His ablility to take care of your enemy.

  49. Isaiah Chapter 10

21 The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

22 For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.

This prophecy will again happen before Jesus returns the second time to earth.
for all the twelve tribes will be accounted for. I thank you Jesus.
    See Revelation 7:1-8

  50. “What will you do when I punish you, when I send disaster upon you from a distant land? To whom will you turn for help? Where will your treasures be safe?
    Isaiah 10:3 NLT
If you were to get robed of your land what would you do? Would you go cry to a friend ? Would you just be sad? Would you pray that Jesus will help you? I would personally get right with Jesus and then ask him how can I help spread his word. If this happened to me I would give the remanding treasures t ok my family or very close friends. Where would you put all of your treasures if this happened to you? What do you think you would do in this situation if this happened to you? What will you do if this happened to you? What will happen? How would you react if this happened to you?

  51. 15 Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.

When God is working with us and great glory comes from it, it feels like nothing else in this world. There is no better place to be then working in the hands of the master. We must always remember to give all glory to God because without him we would have no victory.

  52. Satan is not the driving factor behind all spiritual warfare. Sometimes the spiritual warfare we may face is an instrument of God’s judgment. (Isaiah 10:5) A response to our disobedience. (2 Kings 17) He is God the Father (2 Corinthians 6:18), God the King (Revelation 19:16), and God the Judge (2 Timothy 4:1; Romans 2). Most believers only know God as a loving Father. He is also the King of kings. He rules, and He governs His children by His law. When we break that law as Isreal did (2 Kings 17), we encounter God the Judge. Thank God, though, that his anger only lasts for a moment. (Psalm 30:5) The rage of the wicked WILL come to an end in Jesus’s name. Amen (Isaiah 10:3) (Isaiah 10:20-23)

  53. “And on that Day also, what’s left of Israel, the ragtag survivors of Jacob, will no longer be fascinated by abusive, battering Assyria. They’ll lean on God, The Holy—yes, truly. The ragtag remnant—what’s left of Jacob—will come back to the Strong God. Your people Israel were once like the sand on the seashore, but only a scattered few will return. Destruction is ordered, brimming over with righteousness. For the Master, God-of-the-Angel-Armies, will finish here what he started all over the globe.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10:20-23‬ ‭MSG‬‬

After all the terrible things that happen, God is still there to hold his people. The remnant returns to God.

  54. Isaiah 11

2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

10 And in that day that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

The love of our Lord shines through this chapter. He is our loving forgiving Father.

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

Our church shows so much love to us. I want to thank you for the card you all gave me Wednesday night. When I read it, I felt a group hug from my church family. This is how God wants us to be. That card meant more than words can describe. Thank you!
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  55. 15 But can the ax boast greater power than the person who uses it? Is the saw greater than the person who saws? Can a rod strike unless a hand moves it? Can a wooden cane walk by itself?
    Isaiah 10:15 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.10.15.NLT

People can boast all day long about the amazing things they’ve done, but it is the Lord who orchestrates and allows things to be.

  56. 3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

When we decide to live a life away from the Lord and think that by “our” own ways we can obtain our own success. All seems to go victoriously… there will be a day where God will visit and bring desolation. All there will be left is imprisonment and no where to hide. So let us stay firm and faithful to God. God made us with a purpose to fulfill for His kingdom NOT to become like the Assyrians who by their “own” might they’re victorious!

  57. “In that day the wolf and the lamb will live together; the leopard will lie down with the baby goat. The calf and the yearling will be safe with the lion, and a little child will lead them all. The cow will graze near the bear. The cub and the calf will lie down together. The lion will eat hay like a cow. The baby will play safely near the hole of a cobra. Yes, a little child will put its hand in a nest of deadly snakes without harm. Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, for as the waters fill the sea, so the earth will be filled with people who know the Lord.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭11:6-9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Oh what a day that will be!!

  58. 6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

Those hypocritical and those against the Almighty, God will take charge over. Now would be as good a time as any to stop a reevaluate your current condition. Now would be a great time to sit done and reflect on your life. Look at every corner of your life and ensure that there is nothing still lurking that doesn’t agree with His Will. Look to be sure there is nothing hypocritical still hanging out. Be sure that you are being the truest you and it should show inside and out.
