Isaiah 13

The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.

Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the Lord, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:

And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

14 And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.

15 Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.

16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.

17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

18 Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.

19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

22 And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

  1. 9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

This shows how God does not like sin at all and how he gives wrath for those who don’t want to change their life and get right with God.

  2. “For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭13:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Here you see the sun ☀️, the moon 🌙 Andy the earth 🌎reveal their gender. So where does all this confusion come from between a male and a female? Again we see the deceit of the enemy at work in our world today.
‘’we know that GOD is not the author of confusion …’

Confusion comes to you when you begin to entertain sin. As we see and understand that sin has no gender here. Sin is sin. And it separates anyone from a loving and merciful GOD. When there is a falling away from the word of the LORD JESUS, from prayer, from worship, from church etc. One makes it easy to put down holiness and pick up unrighteousness. It’s living as the world desires and pushes their agenda on you. And it is so easy for one to accept when there is no root and you’re foundation is not based on the ROCK of Jesus Christ.
“You cannot fool God, so don’t make a fool of yourself! You will harvest what you plant.”

  3. Verse 9 AMP “Listen carefully, the day of the Lord is coming, Cruel, with wrath and raging anger, To make the land a horror [of devastation]; And He shall exterminate its sinners from it.” Verse 11 AMP “In this way I will punish the world for its evil And the wicked for their wickedness [their sin, their injustice, their wrongdoing]; I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud And will abase the arrogance of the tyrant.” The time to listen is now and heed the warnings as this chapter describes the Judgment to come.

Our Proverb for today also reminds us in verses 3-5 AMP “The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold, But the Lord tests hearts. An evildoer listens closely to wicked lips; And a liar pays attention to a destructive and malicious tongue. Whoever mocks the poor taunts his Maker, And he who rejoices at [another’s] disaster will not go unpunished.”

  4. 6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:

10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

The horrors of sin is fear and sorrows to a place that nobody long for.

  5. 18. The attacking armies will shoot down the young men with arrows. They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for children. NLT

Our enemy doesn’t spare our children; in fact, he specifically targets them and tries his best to destroy or imprison them at an early age. We must fight harder now than ever to save our children; they are more precious than gold!

  6. Oh senor JESUS te pido que me ayudes a despertar a nuestras familias de Este dia de juicio eres bueno pero al mismo tiempo implacable, hay de los que no escuchamos .

We know that perilous times are coming!
2 Tim.2-3-4 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient, to parents, unthankful, unholy.
    (3) Without natural affection, truebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that good.
    (4) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
We must save ourselves, and get our mind and heart right before God .
Don’t let your altar move, keep your light burning .
Lord my prayer lead us to souls who are hungry for your salvation.
We need Jesus at all times.

  8. 9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

The day is coming soon and May God find us in repentance!!! If you think being in church is enough you’re a fool. Church does not save JESUS SAVES!!! You can be in church all your life but not be in Jesus or Jesus in you!!! Reflect, search your heart, and repent for the day is nearly here!!!

  9. Till this day. Babylon is still in ruins.

When God says a city will perish unless they turn to the Lord he means it. There was recently a Islamic leader that tried to reside in modern day Babylon also known as Baghdad today. But like the Bible says armies from the north came down to destroy the ones who tried to live there.

To this day that place is empty. And no man lives there. That evil reckless city is gone.

“Babylon, the most glorious of kingdoms, the flower of Chaldean pride, will be devastated like Sodom and Gomorrah when God destroyed them. Babylon will never be inhabited again. It will remain empty for generation after generation. Nomads will refuse to camp there, and shepherds will not bed down their sheep.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭13:19-20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  10. I love POFW. LIVEJESUSGIVEJESUS2! 11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. The end is coming. These words from Gods word are true and cannot be ignored for fear of hellfire.

  11. 22 And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

The wage of sin will always come to an end. Eventually it all comes to surface, it’s best to confess your faults and make the exchange on the altar so you can heal and get back to work for Jesus. We’ve read in multiple places in the Bible where there is no happy ending with sin

  12. 13:22 and the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in the desolate houses and dragons in their pleasant palaces
And her time is near to come and her days shall not be prolonged.
    —-
    ..And her time is near…
Fort the lord is not a man who can lie
Not the son of man who can repent.
What he has said he shall do and who can tell him
    What are you doing?
This is not complicated at all.
If the Lord says it then if she all come to pass.
    Wether it’s a
    blessing
    Judgment
    Revenge
    Instruction
    Deliverance
    Promotion…
He only needs to speak the word
In the beginning was the word and the word was with
god, and the word was God.
He is the beginning and the end.
He gives , and he takes it away
He sends his prophets, and they prophecy
And it will come to pass
    At the appointed time.

  13. 6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty
7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:

This verse remind me that all the evil that is going on today will face judgment. No matter how far people then from God, there will be a day when they face him and stand before judgement.

  14. 11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

The Lord is the same today and yesterday. Even though this account applies to thoes people, we can know that the judgement of the Lord against sin also applies to us.

  15. 7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:

8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

For the destruction of the wicked and sinners that are in Babylon or associated with the city. God is bringing forth the warning of those that are not included with the wicked to remove themselves or suffer the same consequences. This prophecy that Isaiah saw was what will be in the last days when God gets ready to battle the evilness of this world.

We have to remove ourselves from such influences and not allow the world to take away our chance of being saved by the promise of God. When we look at the things that we are influenced by, we have to get rid of the rings that do not align with the word of God. We have so short of time left that we need to cleanse and purify ourselves as the Lord instructs us. We have to make sure we have aligned with the word and commandments of God. We can not afford to waste any time. We have to make our calling and election sure. Let’s have revival among the lost in this world.

  16. Isaiah 13
Wail! God’s Day of Judgment is near—
an avalanche crashing down from the Strong God!
    Everyone paralyzed in the panic,
    hysterical and unstrung,
    Doubled up in pain
like a woman giving birth to a baby.
    Horrified—everyone they see
is like a face out of a nightmare.

    Colossians 3:5
    Living Translation
So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

Do we truly think that there will be no judgement over sin. Each day seems to find our world getting further and further away from God.
God help us to win the lost . Help us to find those wha want to know You who are tired of the way they have lived their lives . Let us speak with your Word and make and make a difference to someone daily through You . We know time is short give us wisdom how to reach before your day of destruction comes. As Abraham prayed for Sodom snd Gomorrah’s must pray for our city and nation . In Jesus name .

  17. 21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

The word satyr here represents a devil. Babylon was a city of sin and fleshly desires. When someone has given themselves over to sin and they become “desolate” that sin becomes their worship. These satyrs (devils) will come dance in the desolate places (sinfulness). When someone slips into sin devils will come and dance in the presence of worship to that sin. That’s why it feels good when someone sins. It’s celebrated. The devil’s dance.

  18. I remember way back many years ago the POFW ladies read Intoxicated with Avalon. It talks about the enticement of the things of the world. Babylon is a type of the world. When God comes to judge Babylon or the world there is no escape from his wrath.

  19. 6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty
11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

We have been warned. The day of the Lord is imminent. We won’t know when but we must be ready. Time is of the essence. Repent and give your life to Christ. That is the only way to have eternal life with Christ.

  20. 11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Everyday we need to give ourselves a check-up from the neck up. Everyday we need to visit the altar and make a sacrifice; crucify this flesh and let God have full reign. Everyday we need to Live and Give Jesus.

  21. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2

‘Hyenas will howl in its fortresses, and jackals will make dens in its luxurious palaces. Babylon’s days are numbered; its time of destruction will soon arrive.’
    Isaiah 13:22

Judgement is sad for sure. These folks are being killed, babies are being killed, women being killed, all because of judgement. God is a righteous Judge we know, however these folks have reaped what they sowed. We must at all costs raise our children so they would have a chance to escape judgement.

  22. 1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see…
Isaiah had a burden for those lost in sin and we must have this same burden to reach for the lost. There is revival now in the church and many more will come at our invitation. “Revival now!” as Bro Fielding would always say and as our Pastor says as well. Today is the day of salvation.

  23. This warning is all too real in the world that we are living in. Children are being murdered and dashed into pieces as we speak ( abortion ). The last days are not in the future, it is upon us. I believe this Babylon is the world we are living in today. The corruption, greed, lust and perversion of the people of this world is great. The only hope that we have is a revival. The only hope our world has is revival. We must revive the altar and bring back the strong teachings and preachings that keep us revived. The last two messages at POFW were exactly what we need. We must have revival.

  24. 19-22
Isaiah closes this chapter by predicting that Babylon will be destroyed and never be rebuilt. Instead it will remain desolate and never be inhabited. The wild beast should be taken literally and not interpreted as demons. Owls and dragons are better rendered ostriches and wild goats

  25. 6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:

8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

Take heed we have been warned regarding the day of the lord. The end times will be horrible. You don’t want to be here. We must repent We must believe in Jesus Christ.

  26. LIVE – GIVE JESUS2
DESTRUCTION OF THOSE WHO ALTER THE ALTAR

19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Babylon in the worlds eyes was the most desirable destination, it was the PLACE.
Babylon was a state in ancient Mesopotamia. The city of Babylon, whose ruins are located in present-day Iraq, was founded more than 4,000 years ago as a small port town on the Euphrates River. It grew into one of the largest cities of the ancient world.

    Babylon – confusion by mixing

It began as the site of the Tower of Babel this reputation is most likely what brought the attraction of the World to Babylon. The sight of the tower, the revenue generated then the great exodus of those whom GOD confused.

The judgement of GOD comes so strong on this place because it is a place the man built for man and not for GOD. Again this illustration reveals to us the danger of making an Alter to the ALTAR of the LORD.

Babylon and the altar of Damascus that we learned of on Wednesday Night are similar in the fact that they were both attractive to the flesh. My flesh is my greatest adversary, even a greater adversary than the devil.

JESUS gave us authority of the devil, but we are responsible to take authority over our flesh. This is the danger of attraction to the things of the world. Their end is destruction, but with JESUS our LIFE is secure.

  27. 6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty

What a timely word for our generation. The day of the Lord is at hand!!! This current world resembles the day of Sodom and Gomorrah and the Lord took all of that He could, and then set it on fire. Lot was warned and was able to escape with just his daughters. We are being warned as well. How many will go with us? How many will escape the judgement of fire, hell and brimstone?

It’s up to us to be the voice telling all those around us – the day of the Lord is at hand – prepare yourself.

  28. 17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

God allowed Babylon to destroy Jerusalem and Juda. Then he allowed the Medes and Persians to conquer Babylon. God judges sin in any nation. He will not allow a people to get away with disobedience and rebellion. America has been a great nation in many ways but she has allowed certain abominations to exist and spread. God’s judgement will come. God is allowing china to destroy America. Covid 19, cyber attacks, corrupting high officials in government are just a few things that come to mind. God will judge the evil regimes of the world. The battle of Armageddon will be the final judgement of God against the evil regimes. Then, God will set up his kingdom. Revival and reaching lost souls is imperative for the Church right now.

  29. 9For see, the day of the LORD is coming— the terrible day of his fury and fierce anger. The land will be made desolate, and all the sinners destroyed with it.

Yes, one day God will come his people, for those that believed. Many don’t believe this, bet will regret it when is does happen. We must get the Word of God out, and convince the unrighteous, the Day of Judgment is coming. Lets continue to reach others and teach them the Word of God.

  30. Isaiah 13:9
For see, the day of the lord is coming— the terrible day of his fury and fierce anger. The land will be made desolate, and all the sinners destroyed with it.

The Lord is coming back very soon. Are you ready?

  31. 6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

The day of the Lord is coming soon and His judgment will be cast upon us.

We need to make sure that not we are right with Lord but that we are telling others.

  32. Babylon used to be a great city. Then they turned away from God and it fell.

20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from gnereation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the sheperds make their fold there.

The USA has always been the “place” to live. Many refugees constantly coming here. God has been taken out of government and schools. People are sinning like Sodom and Gomorrah. Babies are killed daily (like in Babylon) but not from fire but by doctors. Sin is rampant, everywhere!!! Are we the new “Babylon”? We must act NOW. We all must do what our Lord and Savior Jesus wants us to do.
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  33. Isaiah 13:9 & 11 (NLT)
    9) For see, the day of the LORD is coming — the terrible day of his fury and fierce anger. The land will be made desolate, and all the sinners destroyed with it.

    11) I, the LORD, will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their sin. I will crush the arrogance of the proud and humble the pride of the mighty.

“The Day Of The LORD Is Coming”
God is getting tired of all the sin, evil, wickedness, pride, etc… of this world, and when The Day Of The LORD Comes, it will be a terrible day of His fury and fierce anger.

The Time is NOW to get rid of “Our Altar” and get to “THE ALTAR” and REPENT and make ourselves ready for the Coming Of The LORD.

  34. “I, the Lord, have dedicated these soldiers for this task. Yes, I have called mighty warriors to express my anger, and they will rejoice when I am exalted.””
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We are all soldier’s in the Lord’s army and should be ready at any time to war against the enemy. I love the song Surrounded because it reminds us just how great our God is and how we fight. Remember, Jesus will fight for us- we just need to show up ready

  35. 9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

It is easy to forget how mighty and powerful Jesus is,when we do not keep our altar lit…

  36. “For see, the day of the Lord is coming— the terrible day of his fury and fierce anger. The land will be made desolate, and all the sinners destroyed with it.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭13:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The prophet is preaching of the day of Lord and judgment on the sinners. The preaching of the coming of Jesus is to lead people back to repentance so that they can be with Jesus for eternity. We ought to be compel other of the warning of Jesus for day of the is at hand and that Jesus is a righteous judge and will Judge everyone.

  37. 15 Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.

Nothing is stronger than the word of God. No spirit, human, animal nothing! We should rely and always stand on His word. He should build our life based on the word. For His word is a solid rock! A lamp unto my feet, and a light into my pathway! I pray tonight that you put your heart on His word, lay aside and let God have His way in your life!!!

  38. Isaiah 13:6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Ezekiel 30:3 For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

There truly is coming a day of destruction, we must be ready to be with the Lord by living righteous, praying, repenting always and praying for our children,grandchildren/family friends to be ready too.

  39. 11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Those that do evil have their reward. The bible says that they will have their part in the lake of fire. Doing what is right, is how we get to heaven. We can live for God half heartedly and expect to receive the reward of the saved. We must live for God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. In our pushing forward is how we receive our reward.

  40. “And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭13:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God is coming back soon and we need to find ourselves ready. We can’t continue to do the things that we have been doing for so long that we know isn’t right. It’s time to clean up our act and get back on the right path with god because he is tired of the sin and all the things being done that aren’t of him. Warning comes before destruction

  41. God says that he is mustering up a huge army, comprised of people from many nations (meaning the Median-Persian army that will come to defeat Babylon), which will lay waste to all the lands of the known world. The Day of the Lord—when this judgment is passed on the Babylonians—will come with great destruction.

  42. “I, the Lord, have dedicated these soldiers for this task. Yes, I have called mighty warriors to express my anger, and they will rejoice when I am exalted.””
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God has called each and everyone of us, in his eyes were special we have an extraordinary purpose to fulfill. In every battle that we may face I pray that we remember who made us, who gave us strength and wisdom to overcome the enemy. The Lord. As one I pray we stand up for the Lord and his word that we obey his commands for he will use you in mighty ways he will guide you to your purpose. Remember your never alone, you have a God that saved you from all your doubt he brought you out from the dark to use you to be a light.

  43. 9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

A life of sin will cause Gods anger to be poured out onto your life. We not live a life of sin but be righteous before Him. Before God spoke the world into existence it was desolate and void. The same is for th soul if we fail to allow God to work in us. We too will become void and. Live a life of destruction.

“Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭17:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I need to practice this verse more often. Folk need to at lease act wise

  45. I learned that one day god angry 😡 he will rain his anger on the people who sin agentist him and. we should all not go agenst god

I also learned this judgment is passed on the Babylonians will come with great destruction.😁

  46. God was angry because Babylon was sin. Babylon shouldn’t have done that because we shouldn’t make God angry. – Kennedy Shelton

  47. 1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.

2 Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the Lord, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty

What will it take for God to get your attention? What mountain has he not already climb to wave the banner of salvation. Who has he not sent to speak light into your life. Why are you unwilling to heed his warnings and follow his commandments. Why are you determined to endure the same faith as those who have choose this path before. This judgement was not just for them and that time in history but for all who choose to disobey God’s instructions for our lives.

  48. ““I, the Lord, will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their sin. I will crush the arrogance of the proud and humble the pride of the mighty. I will make people scarcer than gold— more rare than the fine gold of Ophir. For I will shake the heavens. The earth will move from its place when the Lord of Heaven’s Armies displays his wrath in the day of his fierce anger.” Everyone in Babylon will run about like a hunted gazelle, like sheep without a shepherd. They will try to find their own people and flee to their own land. Anyone who is captured will be cut down— run through with a sword. Their little children will be dashed to death before their eyes. Their homes will be sacked, and their wives will be raped.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭13:11-16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Since God can shake the heavens and move the earth, and since God Himself is unshakable, it makes a lot more sense to trust in God than even the ground we stand on and the air we breathe.

  49. 6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

God is coming back soon, we need to be ready for when He does, the world is full of destruction and distraction, we only need to be in it, not of it.

  50. 11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

There will be a day when God judges the people of this world so we need to keep His commandments and follow Him and do His will.

  51. Hear the noise on the mountains! Listen, as the vast armies march! It is the noise and shouting of many nations. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has called this army together.
    Isaiah 13:4 NLT

“I hear the sound of an army arising, I heat the sound of an army arising!” It’s time to get up and go accomplish the will of the Lord. We are the army that can be used of God and reach people.

  52. Isaiah 13

“Wail! God’s Day of Judgment is near— an avalanche crashing down from the Strong God! Everyone paralyzed in the panic, hysterical and unstrung, Doubled up in pain like a woman giving birth to a baby. Horrified—everyone they see is like a face out of a nightmare. “Watch now. God’s Judgment Day comes. Cruel it is, a day of wrath and anger, A day to waste the earth and clean out all the sinners. The stars in the sky, the great parade of constellations, will be nothing but black holes. The sun will come up as a black disk, and the moon a blank nothing. I’ll put a full stop to the evil on earth, terminate the dark acts of the wicked. I’ll gag all braggarts and boasters—not a peep anymore from them— and trip strutting tyrants, leave them flat on their faces. Proud humanity will disappear from the earth. I’ll make mortals rarer than hens’ teeth. And yes, I’ll even make the sky shake, and the earth quake to its roots Under the wrath of God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the Judgment Day of his raging anger. Like a hunted white-tailed deer, like lost sheep with no shepherd, People will huddle with a few of their own kind, run off to some makeshift shelter. But tough luck to stragglers—they’ll be killed on the spot, throats cut, bellies ripped open, Babies smashed on the rocks while mothers and fathers watch, Houses looted, wives raped.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭13:6-16‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I can’t help but think of the second coming of Jesus. Just make me want to reach for all who are around me.

  53. 6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Now more than ever is the day of the Lord at hand. The day draws near, when the children of God be no more and the dead in Christ will rise.

The day of the Lord is at hand. We should love our lives on purpose. Loving and giving Jesús!

  54. 7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:
8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Imagine a day. . . In reading throughout this chapter it paints a vivid picture. “. . . the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. . .” So many stories have been told of the end and the day of the Lord’s coming, yet others don’t always reference to these words of passage. It will be an interesting day as this chapter unfolds.
