Isaiah 14

For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the Lord for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.

19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

22 For I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the Lord.

23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the Lord of hosts.

24 The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

25 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

26 This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.

27 For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

28 In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.

29 Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.

30 And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.

31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.

32 What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the Lordhath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.

  1. 5 The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

What a mighty God we serve… he breaks all the works of evil doers and lets us have victory over them. Thank you Jesus!

  2. 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

The fall of Lucifer is the start of the battle between good and evil. The very aspect of one angel that was created to worship the most high god, rose up to think he could be as great as god and could be exalted. The very ego that some in their relationship with God have had, has caused them to fall like Lucifer. Many think highly of themselves and try to exalt themselves to positions that they have not earned or even worked for. The scripture states pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.

There is coming a time where we have to either choose to humble ourselves before God or we will eventually be cast down. God will not have his creation to ruin the very reason He created us to be ruined by jealousy, envy, or strife. We have to allow the will of God to direct us and allow us to bow down before the throne of grace and mercy. We have to remember that even the archangel of God would be punished after he would try to rise up above God. He was cast out of heaven as fast as lightning striking the ground. So why would we think there would be any difference in us trying to rise up above who we are and trying to tell God how and what we are going to do in this relationship. We will suffer the same fate as Lucifer. If we love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and might we must humble ourselves before him so we can reap all the blessings. Let God be the head of your life and He will elevate you.

  3. 1 For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the Lord for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

The Lord in His mercy will restore Israel to their own land and today Church will assist in the return and live peacefully with God’s people. Israel’s s firmer warlord will be her servants.

  4. Verses 24-27 MSG “God-of-the-Angel-Armies speaks: “Exactly as I planned, it will happen. Following my blueprints, it will take shape. I will shatter the Assyrian who trespasses my land and stomp him into the dirt on my mountains. I will ban his taking and making of slaves and lift the weight of oppression from all shoulders.” This is the plan, planned for the whole earth, And this is the hand that will do it, reaching into every nation. God-of-the-Angel-Armies has planned it. Who could ever cancel such plans? His is the hand that’s reached out. Who could brush it aside?” Just as God has a plan for Judgment, he also has a plan for you as we read in Jeremiah 29:11-13 AMP “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” The question is, will you heed the warnings and seek Him NOW? Our Proverb for today says in verse 10 MSG “God’s name is a place of protection—good people can run there and be safe.”

  5. 3. And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

    24. The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

    25. That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

    27. For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it ? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back? KJV

    27. The LORD of Heaven’s Armies has spoken- who can change his plans? When his hand is raised, who can stop him?” NLT

It is the Lord who gives rest or war; what He has purposed shall stand, and who can change His plans, or stop Him?
We serve the one, true omnipotent God that none can change or stop, but He can change or stop any thing or any one at any time at the request of His People!

    Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

  6. Isaiah 14: 2-3 And the people shall them, and bring them to their place ; and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the Lord for servants and handmaid’s; and they shall take them captives; who captives they were; and shall rule over their oppressors.
    (3) And it shall to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve.
We were once in bondage , fear, doubt, worry, etc….
The Lord will restore peace and joy to Israel and church too.
A great gathering of God’s people ; and a song of redemption and salvation and peace .
Peace Peace such wonderful peace coming from the father above.
Be bless in the Holy Ghost!

  7. 6 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

I am convinced that most of the issues we have and problems that are going on in this world are not because the enemy is so incredibly powerful that it overrides the nature to do good. Not only does Scripture tell us but life itself reflects that the enemy, though is wise, cannot force our hand to do anything. People are going to choose whether they want good or evil in their lives based upon how they respond to life issues. If people have a deep rage inside of them and they want to lash out then it isn’t going to take much to bring that out of them and if people want to be purified and want to be near the heart of Christ then they won’t be shaken nor moved. Sometimes, I believe that God allows these things to happen to purge out the intentions of man because God only wants the purest of children in his kingdom. The only way to reveal that at times is to allow fire against them. That’s why we see people walk away from the gospel after serving for so many years because they fell into temptation and did not address the the sinful nature within them.

  8. For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it ? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back? KJV
Why why why would you no grab the hand of the Lord? So many things and his glory we have experienced! Grab on with all you have and sit in his lap! He will love you and help you!

  9. 27 for the lord of hosts had purposed and who
    Shall disannul it?
And his hand is stretched out and who shall turn it back?
    ——
No one! it doesn’t not exist. ( the one who would be ae to stop it, or prevent it)
When the Lord purposes in his heart something.
    That is it.
It’s just a matter of waiting. He has said it
    He has determined it
    It shall come to pass.
🙏 that I may be walking in his righteousness , and with him
    At all times.

  10. Isaiah 14

3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

5 The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

The Enemy Will Be Defeated !

  11. 24 The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

The Lord has an ultimate plan. In light of our daily struggles we can always be comforted by knowing that heaven is our ultimate end.

  12. “Even the trees of the forest— the cypress trees and the cedars of Lebanon— sing out this joyous song: ‘Since you have been cut down, no one will come now to cut us down!’ “In the place of the dead there is excitement over your arrival. The spirits of world leaders and mighty kings long dead stand up to see you. With one voice they all cry out, ‘Now you are as weak as we are!”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14:8-10‬ ‭NLT

They will look to him for power, but he has been rendered powerless by the Lord Jesus Christ. He is defeated. The answer to their question is yes. He is as weak as they are.

  13. I have a plan for the whole earth, a hand of judgment upon all the nations. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has spoken— who can change his plans? When his hand is raised, who can stop him?”
    Isaiah 14:26‭-‬27 NLT

God has it all planned out. Every aspect of our lives even, but, we still have a choice. We can choose to follow His plan and live in grace, or we can choose not to and end up fallen. Choose this day who you will serve.

  14. LIVE – GIVE JESUS2
THE FALL OF MAN IS LIKE THE FALL OF LUCIFER

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

We learn from this passage the painful end of PRIDE. Every fall and every sin is traced back to the original sin of PRIDE. Self will, mans will is the birthplace of PRIDE.

The 5 “I will” professions began in the heart. The HEART is the ALTAR of self-will. If I don’t crucify my will, then “I will” brings me to a fall. When what I want, think or desire is not aligned with what JESUS wants, thinks or desires then self will is rising, for a fall.

Our attitude toward GOD and HIS will is so important to our advancement in the Kingdom of GOD.

Self promotion will always end in GOD demotion. Lucifer promoted himself within himself and was quickly demoted.

3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve

God sees all our labor, sorrow, fear, and hard bondage we go through. He knows all the heartbreak, heartache, and headaches as well. The good thing about God is he knows what we are going through…the challenging thing for us is he knows our thoughts.

Think good things…All good things and God will bless us

  16. 3 AMP “And it will be in the day when the Lord gives you rest from your pain and turmoil and from the harsh service in which you have been enslaved,
5 The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked, The scepter of the [tyrant] rulers”

Choose to live your life for God and you will find rest in Him. The enemy will be destroyed! Don’t be destroyed with him.

  19. 24 The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

He not only has a plan for Israel, but he also has a plan for us, our children and this nation. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. God gave people the Holy Ghost to be saved and it’s not his will that any shall perish. This gives us hope today that his will will be done and the enemy defeated.

  20. 24 The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

He not only has a plan for Israel, but he also has a plan for us, our children and this nation. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. God gave people the Holy Ghost to be saved and it’s not his will that any shall perish. This gives us hope today that his will will be done and the enemy defeated.

  21. 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

The fastest way down is to lift yourself up and become full of pride and indignation. We must cautiously examine our hearts to ensure that we do not let pride take root. Once it gets a foot hold, it will only be destroyed by destruction, just like we witness today.

  22. Isaiah 14:3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

    Isaiah 32:18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

    Their redeemer is strong!

Proverbs 23:11,12 For the redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee. Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.

  23. 26I have a plan for the whole earth,
a hand of judgment upon all the nations.

Yes, God has a plan for each of us. We do our part, and God will open the doors of opportunity, healings and blessings. Only God knows our future. He wants us all to worship and praise him. Don’t sit back and expect God to give you everything. You have to ask God for your wants and needs.

  24. 27 “The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has spoken— who can change his plans? When his hand is raised,
    who can stop him?” NLT

Whose voice are you listening to?
The Lords? Someone in authority who aligns with the Lord? If not why?

Why would we choose to listen to someone other than the one who is All? If you were in school would you rather listen to your History teacher teach you math over your math teacher? In most cases, you would prefer the one with expertise to instruct you on the subject.

Heb 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

It seems logical and wiser to receive direction and correction from the One who is the Author and Finisher!

  25. A REFERENCE TO SATAN
    12-15
Christians have been fascinated with these verses. Many apply what students of prophecy call the law of double reference and see a shift in focus from Babylon to an even more arrogant being Satan.
References to Satan is indirect if present but Christ in Luke 10:18 applies language used in v.12 to Satan. it is not at all unusual for the prophets to see the pride of pagan rulers an arrogance which reflects satanic principles even as David and certain kings of his line reflect qualities found in Christ

  26. Isaiah 14
14:3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

Hope shines through the darkest of Isaiah’s prophecies. We are assured that God will keep his covenant promises to Abraham and David.
As always, we have a choice. Jesus gets our attention at times to remind us that He is in charge and we must follow our Lord. Not to follow Jesus is not even an option for us Christians.
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  27. 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Exalting yourself is the fastest way to be brought low.. pride is the one that looks at self and sees it higher that it is. If you really want to be great, then the Lord says you must be a servant of all. Humbling yourself before God is the way to get exalted by him.

  28. 5 The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

We have to set apart the good from evil in our lives. Some people may leave and some people may go but we have to know who to keep and who to cut off. We must be strong in the word of God! I pray tonight that we ask God to be the solid rock in our lives and the first thing on my heart!❤️

  29. 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

When we tired to lift ourselves up and make ourselves higher than God God will bring you down.
It is only through God we raise it is through Him blesses come thank God for his hand of guidance.

  30. “The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has spoken— who can change his plans? When his hand is raised, who can stop him?””
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There is nothing in this world that can stop the Lord with the plans he has prepared. The enemy has tried so many times to interfere in our lives with the plans the Lord has for us but he never wins. God has spoken to us, he has told us what to do, but the enemy is still tempting, what will you do? Will you have faith in the Lord the one who saved you from all evil and fear, or will you fall into the enemy just because you want to fit in? I pray tonight that we decide to stay with the Lord even if it means being different. With God we can do all, with God we will rise in victory be saved.

  31. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

Many times we give the enemy too much credit. He might have been one of the greatest angels, but now he is under our feet. Or at least he should be.

  32. 27 For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

If God speaks it or moves upon it, then it shall be done. There is no power on earth that can withstand God’s power. He has the ultimate power and whatever we need, we can find in him. We will rejoice in him at all times.

  33. “I will feed the poor in my pasture; the needy will lie down in peace. But as for you, I will wipe you out with famine and destroy the few who remain.”
    Isaiah 14:30 NLT

God is a stronger tower to all those that come to Him wholeheartedly and who’s hope is in the Lord. God is the firm foundation that cannot be shaken. In Him there’s salvation and grace that is everlasting. God is for us not against. God will destroy sin and wipe out everyone that rebels.

  34. 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

    16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

Others might try and place themselves above God, but they will never ascend to a place that high. There is only one GOD and there will always only be one GOD and his name is Jesus!

  35. “For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Nothing or no one can change the plans of the lord. When he puts his hands to work on something nothing can stop it from happening. No matter how hard we try to have the lord change his mind and plans it will not work. We can’t bargain with him and think that he will change his plans to fit what we want. Sometimes his plans may not feel good but we must trust and believe in him knowing that his plans are always the best plans. He knows all. So stop trying to argue with him and submit to his will and his plans.

The slackers must understand that God is not smiling down upon them. We all must learn to be productive and do God’s Will in Spirit and Truth.

  37. 3 And it shall come to pass in the day that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

  38. The continual stroke

6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

I wonder sometimes how folks will keep going down the same path over and over again only to find themselves being punished by their mistakes. God doesn’t change his hand because we don’t learn. It will be a continual stroke. I have come to the point in my life that I am done learning the hard way.

  39. “You said to yourself, “I’ll climb to heaven. I’ll set my throne over the stars of God. I’ll run the assembly of angels that meets on sacred Mount Zaphon. I’ll climb to the top of the clouds. I’ll take over as King of the Universe!” But you didn’t make it, did you? Instead of climbing up, you came down— Down with the underground dead, down to the abyss of the Pit.
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14:13-17‬ ‭MSG

    Pride. Pride. Pride.

It’s what has been said this month. Tired of hearing about this month. But The LORD JESUS has the last word in all things

“Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: Though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. Pride goeth before destruction, And an haughty spirit before a fall.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16:5, 18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  40. When God lets Israel rest from its tribulations, they will be able to taunt Babylon. They will be able to chide Babylon for getting destroyed when it had previously oppressed them. God will turn the tables on Babylon, fiercely persecuting them. The whole world will be at peace and sing, now that Babylon has fallen.

  41. 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:….

There’s an interpretation that states that the stars of God are actually the children of God. That’s why Peter warned for us to be sober and keep watch! Cuz the enemy is seeking whom he may destroy.

  42. 7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

Jesus is the chain breaker he makes ways when we can’t find a way out. In knowing this and seeing Him move in our lives. There should be a continual praise in our hearts that will erupt out of our souls.

I serve a mighty good God and He deserves all the glory and honor. In the valley he is worthy, on the mountain top He is worthy. If anyone understands how hard it is to worship in the trials I DO! Yet, I understand that even when I forget to worship, I repent and move forward in my praise. I praise Him before the storm, in the storm, through the storm, and after the storm. IN EVERYTHING I GIVE HIM PRIASE!!

  43. Isaiah 14

“The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When God speaks you know for sure it’s truth. His Word is a firm foundation that we can stand on. The Truth that we can put all over our trust in.

  44. “On the day the Lord gives you relief from your suffering and turmoil and from the harsh labor forced on you, you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon: How the oppressor has come to an end! How his fury has ended!”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14:3-4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The trials you go through are only for a season. The Lord gives us strength through our trails and it’s not His purpose for us to be in turmoil your whole life.

  45. ““I will make Babylon a desolate place of owls, filled with swamps and marshes. I will sweep the land with the broom of destruction. I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, have spoken!””
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14:23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Little late on this one I had my scriptures picked yesterday and ready to post. Anyways check out this verse

… I will sweep the land with the broom of destruction….

That’s pretty intimidating, it don’t take no effort at all for the Lord to wipe out a problem. He said I’ll sweep it out with a broom. Just like all of your problems Jesus can take that same broom and sweep some things out of your life or even sweep you out of a situation.

  46. 5 The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

The Staff is symbolic for guiding. And the sceptre was symbolic of power.

The result of Gods doing to the enemy was to keep them lost and strip there authority.

This is crucial in understanding how God deals with his adversaries. He leaves them defenseless and lost. This is a win for Gods people to rake advantage of the times that God has given us to triumph.

  47. “What should we tell the Philistine messengers? Tell them, “The Lord has built Jerusalem; its walls will give refuge to his oppressed people.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭14:32‬ ‭NLT‬‬
God loves his people. He loves to fight for his people. Even when we do bad things, God still loves us.

  48. 5 The Lord hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

The Lord will take care of the wicked, the evil, and those opposing us. Our God is an awesome God. . . He reigns. . . With Power and love. . .

7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

As the earth is resting and quiet, we break in to song with praise! However, what I find interesting in this verse is, “. . . no feller is come up against us. . .” No feller! I find the verbiage interesting.
