Hosea 7

When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.

And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.

They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.

In the day of our king the princes have made him sick with bottles of wine; he stretched out his hand with scorners.

For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.

They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.

Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned.

Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.

10 And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the Lordtheir God, nor seek him for all this.

11 Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.

12 When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard.

13 Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.

14 And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.

15 Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.

16 They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.

  1. 13 Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.

14 And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.

Repentance is important to God when you fully come to him and continue to walk with him. He wants you to fully come with your heart, mind , and spirit to love him.

  2. 8 Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned.

9 Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.

10 And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the Lordtheir God, nor seek him for all this.

They mixed with foreigners wasting their substance, and they would not listen to rebuke. The metaphor Ephraim being a cake unturned suggests a lack of balance. On one side the cake is burnt and overdone; on the other side, it is doughy and underdone. In short, Ephraim is completely spoiled.

  3. The caption for this chapter in MSG version says “Despite All the Signs, Israel Ignores God”. This is so true today, despite all of the preaching, teaching and signs that we have been hearing about; many continue in their rut (a habit or pattern of behavior that has become dull and unproductive but is hard to change). The pride/arrogance of Israel was so great and so entangling that they could NOT or rather WOULD NOT repent. Whether they thought they could get away with doing things their own way and didn’t need God or just plain out being defiant, they forgot that verse 2 AMP says “But they do not consider in their hearts (minds) That I remember [always] all their wickedness. Now their deeds surround and entangle them; They are before My face.” We must heed the signs because we do NOT want to fall the same as Israel did as we read in verse 10 AMP “Though the pride of Israel testifies against him, Yet they do not return [in repentance] to the Lord their God, Nor seek nor search for nor desire Him [as essential] in spite of all this.” This can be a very dangerous place to be; so heed the warnings and don’t ignore the opportunity that God is giving you to repent. LIVE-GIVE JESUS².

  4. 6 For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.

7 They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.

Ephraim has hid the ways of the wicked in their hearts and the outward appearance began to show itself toward God. They begin to turn toward the sinful nature of the nations around them and even to say they began to be mixed with them. They fooled even themselves but God was well aware of their hearts and began to deal with them.

Many Christians today have been born again and baptized in the name of Jesus, but have allowed things of this world infiltrate their heart and it has caused them to try to live both sides of the fence. I am a firm believer that what you harbor in your heart will eventually manifest itself on the outside. The word of God states that out of the mouth the heart speaks. So we have to be well aware of the things that try to infect our spirituality and cause us to sin. We have to allow God to continue to cleanse us for his service and not the world’s service. We have to humble ourselves before the throne of mercy and grace that we may be able to find help in the time of need. Hold fast to the unchanging hand of God.

  5. 7 They are all hot as an oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.

Sometimes people can get into the habit of becoming religious without growing into a relationship with the Lord. I see this as similar to what was asked at the commencement of last Sunday’s service; are you here because you are assinged to serve or are you heare to worship?. Are actions are what man sees but God looks at are heart.

  6. 14. And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.

They assemble for corn and wine…
It’s easy to get a crowd to gather for food for the natural body, but what about their spirit? They can gather at restaurants and grocery stores, but not at the Master’s table?
Lord Jesus, open their eyes so they can see that they aren’t hungry for You because they are already full – full of fear, full of doubt, and full of the deception they have been fed by the deceiver. In Jesus name, Amen!

  7. “They look everywhere except to the Most High. They are as useless as a crooked bow. Their leaders will be killed by their enemies because of their insolence toward me. Then the people of Egypt will laugh at them.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What are our eyes fixed upon? Are they looking up and set on Jesus allowing us to be about our Father’s business? Or are they focused on what’s around or in front of us allowing us to become weary about the things of this world?

When our eyes are focused on God, we can be Kingdom minded and stand on a sure foundation. We are in this world but not of this world

  8. Hosea 8: 13- 14 Woe unto them! for them for they have fled from me, destruction unto them
Because they have transgressed against me, through I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
    14) And they have not cried unto me with their heart. when they howled upon their beds they assemble themselves for corn and wine and they rebel against me.
Israel’s has ran from God instead of running to him.
Wow what shame ! Running from God is’nt going to get you anywhere ,But trouble.
No reading or studying your Bible you want get fed.
Prov 1: 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh.
Repent and come back in Jesus name.

  9. To-do lo Malo Malo da to do lo bueno bueno produce asi que fijar los ojos en lo alto ahi tendremos recompensa.

  10. 1 When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.

If we only knew the things that God wanted to do in people’s lives and how much he truly wanted to work in and through us to be that vessel of healing for them but they are stopping themselves. Sometimes, maybe even a lot of times people are standing in the way of their own miracle.

  11. 15 although I trained and strengthen their arms
Fort victory over their enemies, yet they devise
    Evil against me.

And as evil as someone can be and do, so is Gods mercy.
Yes, the Lord will reward according to ones fruit.
As bad as this chapter sounds, we remember
Gods ways of deliverance and forgiveness.
Someone is praying🙏 Someone is interceding.
    In Jesus name.

  12. “Their arrogance testifies against them, yet they don’t return to the Lord their God or even try to find him.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Jesus I know that America isn’t too far from this scripture. We have neglected your word, and we have looked at other outlets to find little replacements as our gods. This is evil. I pray that your church becomes strong in your word that we lift our eyes to Zion for salvation.
Jesus I pray that this country is convicted by your words and that we turn back to you.

Keep us Lord. Forgive us. Redeem us! Set us free from this wicked generation.

  13. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2

15 Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.

God is the One who has given us the victory. He is the One who delivered us from all the wiles of the enemy. Jesus is the One who has raised us up outta the ashes, and put our feet on the solid ground. The Lord saved us from addictions and has given us freedom. We must not forget Him. We have not done these great miracles ourselves, but God has given us the strength to overcome. Don’t forget God.

  14. “They do not consider in their hearts That I remember all their wickedness; Now their own deeds have surrounded them; They are before My face.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Actions speak louder than words. They claimed to know God but their actions contradicted that. They were loyal to people and things of the world instead of being faithful to God.

  15. 9 Worshiping foreign gods has sapped their strength, but they don’t even know it. Their hair is gray, but they don’t realize they’re old and weak.
    Hosea 7:9‭

Not residing in prayer and relying on God can make you feel weary and drained all the time. It’s when we walk in the Spirit and commune with God daily that we as spiritual beings are refreshed and draw strength from Him. Hallelujah 🦋

  16. Hosea 7:8-10
    8) Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned.
    9) Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.
    10) And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.

When a Christian gets “mixed up” in the things of this world, it will cause them to lose their walk (relationship) with God. It will devour their strength, and it will cause them to become spiritual weak. Then Pride will rise up, and they will not return to God, nor seek Him.

JESUS, help me/us to keep our Eyes, Hearts, and Minds Fixed On YOU at ALL Times, (Seek Him and Keep The FIRE On Your Altar Burning), so that we do not get “mixed up” in the things of this world and lose our walk with YOU.

  17. ““The people of Israel have become like silly, witless doves, first calling to Egypt, then flying to Assyria for help.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

A “silly dove” is unaware of the danger of flying head long into a net. Ephraim has forgotten their help is in God. They seek help from Egypt (world), and from Assyria. They are heading for their own trap

  18. Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
This is a dangerous place to be. God has helped you and gotten you out of a mess and now your speaking against him. The next mess he has to get you out if will be more intense I promise you! I love POFW LIVEJESUSGIVEJESUS2

  19. Its people don’t realize that I am watching them. Their sinful deeds are all around them, and I see them all.
    Hosea 7:2 NLT

Be sure your sin will find you out. This is why it’s so important we daily visit the altar and make ourselves right. Repent, and line yourself back up with the Word of God. Lord, may the fire on our altars never burn out!

  20. 10 And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the Lord their God, nor seek him for all this.

That’s one thing about sin, it’s sneaks into your life and before you noticed His Spirit has departed from you and you’re no longer His. Nothing happens all of the sudden is a slow, little by little kind of fade. You begin by tolerating and adjusting about things that you should never tolerate but society says you need to respect their choices so you do and next thing you know you are just like them. You begin by changing little things and next thing you know His Spirit has departed from you. Lord help me stay in your will, help me see what I need to change to make sure I never leave your presence. In Jesus Name I pray AMEN

  21. Hosea 7
    Message
    “Ephraim is bird-brained,
    mindless, clueless,
    First chirping after Egypt,
    then fluttering after Assyria.

Strongly put in the message translation “a silly dove”.
I looked several places to why the five was considered silly . No Google definition it always went right back to the Bible. Accept one place that said the dive is the only bird that does not mourn over the loss of its children. Could this also have been the message God was portraying here.. When sin takes hold it is sad to say that the feelings for everyone and everything seem to disappear from an individual. Children go without food due to parents addictions. Families ate cruelly betrayed and destroyed because of sin. Abusive behaviors because they are running to a d fro seeking for something to satisfy the soul . Over and over again running from one addiction to another on one pleasure to another. If they would just stop a d realize there is a God . People use to allow the presence of God to envelope them now they want to know this and that a s where is that in the Bible and how do you know ? Again when if they would just stop and experience truly experience God !
It is time even for us who love God to be sure we are stable and secure that we are not fluttering here abd there and wake up clueless about what is going on. The message Sunday evening has left a picture in my mind being left behind in a cloud of smoke . Whether due to allowing life to consume us and we forget what God truly has called us to do . Israel had a God that loved them and had provided so many times yet they went after the things of the world . A silly dove .
Only Jesus can satisfy your soul .

  22. Hosea 7:16
They look everywhere except to the Most High. They are as useless as a crooked bow. Their leaders will be killed by their enemies because of their insolence toward me. Then the people of Egypt will laugh at them.

Go to the source. God is our source. He knows everything we need.

  23. Living Bible vs-12
But as she flies I throw my net over her and bring her down like a bird from the sky I will punish her for all her evil ways.
    Flocking together
Israels peer group was foreign nations who arrogantly determined to band together and go their own way rather than depend on the Lord. Getting in with the wrong crowd is just as big a mistake today as in the past. God has a net big enough to throw over the whole flock and will punish their sins

  24. “What sorrow awaits those who have deserted me! Let them die, for they have rebelled against me. I wanted to redeem them, but they have told lies about me. They do not cry out to me with sincere hearts. Instead, they sit on their couches and wail. They cut themselves, begging foreign gods for grain and new wine, and they turn away from me.
    Hosea 7:13‭-‬14 NLT
    https://bible.com/bible/116/hos.7.13-14.NLT

The people of Israel Sinead so bad god didn’t know what to do with them. Well he did but the sins get the Prince drunk lie about god and many many more.

  25. 1 When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.
2 And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

It’s a heart issue!!! JESUS heal my heart!!! Hurting people do not tend to show mercy or gratitude…..

  26. AMP – 14 They do not cry out to Me from their heart
    When they wail on their beds [in unbelieving despair];
For the sake of grain and new wine they [b]assemble themselves [as if worshiping Baal]; They rebel against Me.
15 Although I trained and strengthened their arms [for victory over their enemies],
Yet they devise evil against Me.
16 They turn, but they do not turn upward to the Most High.

The many backslidings of Israel, still God was trying to reach them. Everything they went through it was His way of putting them in a position where they would have to turn back to Him, yet they were stubborn, doing things their own way, and they would turn to other things, but not back to Him.

Let us not be so stubborn in our ways, or they way we have always done something, that we are not willing to do something God’s way. Many people suffer great loss because they are not willing to surrender their ways to God’s ways. Let’s not be stubborn. God’s ways is always best and we would save our self some heart and pain if we would follow Him at the beginning instead of circumventing Him to do things our way.

  27. 1 When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.
2 And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.
3 They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.

Hosea has heard warnings of judgement from God but the kings, princes and people are content to keep right on living their lifestyles of sin and endulgance. The blind are leading the blind and choose to ignore the God of their fathers. So many today choose to ignore God and biblical instruction but as the church of the living God we must reach for souls, saving all who will heard and heed the word of God. We must keep reaching, teaching and living the right way, asking God to stir and open their hearts, so they can receive the apostolic doctrine.

  29. LIVE – GIVE JESUS2
DONT LET PRIDE KEEP YOU AWAY

10 And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the Lord their God, nor seek him for all this.

Pride the original sin committed in the garden of Eden by Adam and Eve was introduced by the father of lies satan. Lucifer as the angel of Worship became so confident in his GOD given talent and ability that he believed his ways to greater and wiser than that of his own Leader, Creator.

Pride kept Lucifer the Angel of Light from his destiny. Pride kept Adam and Eve from their peaceful, perfect destiny. Pride keeps Israel from returning to the LORD for their promised destiny.

I see a trend here. Pride restricts the Kingdom advancement of people that GOD has favored, ordained and destined to Kingdom purpose. Pride opposes submission, pride resists obedience, pride is the opposite of love in that it seeks its own (1Cor. 13).

King Solomon recorded his own futile destiny:
Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

    Paul warned Timothy:
1Timothy 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

Let us receive this warning today that we have the power to walk humbly or arrogantly before the LORD.

DONT LET PRIDE KEEP YOU AWAY from the altar of repentance, the prayer room, the aisles of praise, the post of serving, the call of GOD, but most importantly the KING of Glory.

PRIDE is most often exhibited when we decide that we do not have time to PRAY, read the BIBLE or participate in WORSHIP.

  30. 8 Ephraim, he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned.

Ephraim, the dominant tribe of Israel and influencer of Israel, had so mixed with the heathen nations, that it was like a half-baked cake. One side, the sinful side, was burned. The other side, the Godly side, was raw, not cooked, nothing there. We live in this world, but we are not of this world. We should lay up treasures in heaven and not on this earth. Israel is an object lesson to us. We should learn from her and not make the same mistake of forsaking the living God.

  31. “They do not cry out to me with sincere hearts. Instead, they sit on their couches and wail. They cut themselves, begging foreign gods for grain and new wine, and they turn away from me.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Many would rather sit in agony then cry out to God.

They would rather believe they’re right then admit they need help.

Jesus help the generation to not be so arrogant that we believe we can make it without you.

Lord, I am nothing without you!!

  32. Hosea 7

1 When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.

2 And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

We must love God with all our heart. To truly love our Lord, we would not lie, steal, commit adultry, and be generally wicked. God is LOVE. We must alearn a lesson from Israel. God will judge us as He judged Israel. Do not be vain, and guilty of sinning.

  33. “Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me. And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Actions speak louder than words. God wants our true repentance. We can say sorry but do we really mean what we are saying. God still loves the backslider and loves us all but he is wanting us to be real about it. Time out for being stubborn. It’s time to fully and wholeheartedly submit unto him. No matter what nothing shall separate us from the love of god.

  34. 1 When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.

When we spend our lives ignoring the conviction of God it doesn’t only effect us but others. It also shows us what we have made an idol before God. The very iniquity or sin that we fail to hand over to Him and turn our hearts from us the very thing or things that have become our idols.

    2 chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Our level of repentance determines their level of healing. What a great responsibility we have.

  35. 2 And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

God knows everything we do and every move we make. It is impossible to hide from him. All will find its way to the light. Don’t ever think you are getting away with something. God knows all and sees all.

  36. They do not consider in their hearts That I remember all their wickedness; Now their own deeds have surrounded them; They are before My face. They make a king glad with their wickedness, And princes with their lies.
    Hosea 7:2‭-‬3 NKJV

May our hearts not be hardened. May we pray that the cares of life and the wounds of things that happen to us not harden our hearts. The word tells us that because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold. Offense is one of the greatest culprits of these. Don’t allow it to rob you of life and blessings… don’t allow it to turn your heart bitter that in the end you don’t consider that the Lord sees all that we do and remembers. May we keep a lifestyle of repentance and humbleness.

  37. 15 Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.

What will you do? When everyone around you isn’t in their right mind what will you do? We must always stay strong and follow His word! We must never ever go against Him for others. If your friends or relationship somehow causes you to fade in your relationship with God, just go ahead and drop it! We must never do wrong to please anyone! I pray tonight that we are all making the good and right decisions for the good of our relationship with Christ!!!

  38. “Their arrogance testifies against them, yet they don’t return to the Lord their God or even try to find him. “The people of Israel have become like silly, witless doves, first calling to Egypt, then flying to Assyria for help.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:10-11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Only Hod can help you change and make everything okay. Cry out to the Lord with a sorrow heart, be true full to the Lord. Repent and start over again.

  39. “But it is too late. The people of Israel have rejected what is good, and now their enemies will chase after them.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭8:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The day of the Lord is coming, and when that day is all those who have turned their backs to the Lord those who have sinned and turned their lives to the enemy will be begging the Lord to receive them back and forgive them but it’ll be to late. I pray tonight that we make up our minds and live for the Lord with all will, and not just because we have to. God has done so much for us, let us do the same in return with praise and obedience. Everyday I pray that we continue to spread his word help the lost turn to him before it is to late.

  40. “They do not cry out to me with sincere hearts. Instead, they sit on their couches and wail. They cut themselves, begging foreign gods for grain and new wine, and they turn away from me.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The enemy daily is trying to take over lives, and many have fell i to it. The enemy has taken over their minds, filled it with anxiety, fear, depression, and so many terrible things that they lose hope. As the children of the Lord he has given us the strength to over come all of that, so I pray that we use what God has given us and reach out to those hurting showing them the Lord and that there is hope, peace, and joy. Let us help them turn to God as God will help them win their battles.

  41. 13 Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.

14 And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me.

15 Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.

16 They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.

when people betray God they don’t realize what he’s got you through or all the things he’s done for you. it’s always important to stop for a moment and thank God and what he’s done for you!!

  42. “Its people don’t realize that I am watching them. Their sinful deeds are all around them, and I see them all.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God know everything and He see everything, and He see how the world has rebelled against the Lord making wrong right and right wrong. God see His church and seeing who is willing to wait on the Lord and obey His command. Let God examine our hearts cleansing, and removing all sin that is in our heart and put the full armor of God that we may sin not against the Lord.

  43. Hosea 7

15 Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.

16 They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.

The tongue is mentioned occurs 129 times times in 126 verses in the KJV. I will mention 10 Verses

    1. Psalm 10:7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.

    2. Psalm 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

    3. Psalm 120:2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

    4. Proverbs 26:28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

    5. Acts 2:26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

6 Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

    7. 1Corinthins 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

    8. Philippians 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

9 James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

    10. 1John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

  44. Will you ever learn?

9 Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.

It is sad to see someone go thru the same things over and over again and never learn. These Grey hairs are suppose to be signs of wisdom but the can be just a mark of age. Our scares should teach us and our age should mature us.

    Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
    ‭‭
All things are not good but if we use the experiences to learn it can work fir our good.

Let our grey hairs mark lessons learned not just hear lived.

  45. ““Every time I gave Israel a fresh start, wiped the slate clean and got them going again, Ephraim soon filled the slate with new sins, the treachery of Samaria written out in bold print. Two-faced and double-tongued, they steal you blind, pick you clean. It never crosses their mind that I keep account of their every crime. They’re mud-spattered head to toe with the residue of sin. I see who they are and what they’ve done.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:1-2‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Their sin has so easily beset them. They think they are getting away with things or have infinite numbers of second chances because God already judged that or has given mercy. No! Sin is bad even when there is mercy. Sin is bad even when there has already been judgment. There can always be more punishment that comes if more sin arises. Just like children, just because they got in trouble for throwing toys doesn’t mean they are not going to get in trouble for screaming at adults.

  46. ““I want to heal Israel, but its sins are too great. Samaria is filled with liars. Thieves are on the inside and bandits on the outside!”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Gods desire is to continually help you, but really your the help you get determines on your actions. It all determines how you respond to the Spirit of God. That’s in worship, praise, prayer, reading, and having discipline I’ve ruptured flesh. All of that determines if God will heal you. It’s your response before he heals you

  47. 13 Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.

“Woe unto them” just by the decisions that they have made against what they should be doing or have done. In multiple spots it states that they spoke against God. “. . . I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me. . . and they rebel against me. . . they imagine mischief against me. . .” In speaking against, they are technically cursing themselves in the process. Yet, “. . . shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision. . .” Clearly stating that is a choice and the outcome that holds! Lord, help us to remember to bridal our own tongues! Help us to learn to help control our environment and the words spoken against you.

  48. “Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not. And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the Lord their God, nor seek him for all this.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Sin and pride will cause blindness. It doesn’t seem logical for someone not to notice their strength is gone or some gray hair has set in. That’s a dangerous place to be. You think “I’m doing good I can hear from God just like anyone else” but the truth is you are blinded by sin and pride. And the only antidote is humble yourself and repent. Turn your face and your heart to God quickly!

“First pride, then the crash— the bigger the ego, the harder the fall. It’s better to live humbly among the poor than to live it up among the rich and famous. It pays to take life seriously; things work out when you trust in GOD.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16:18-20‬ ‭MSG‬‬

  49. “The people entertain the king with their wickedness,
and the princes laugh at their lies.

Yes, people will follow the unrighteous or the righteous. If they like the worldly entertainment, they follow Hollywood stars, sports figure and music. But the we righteous people will follow God no matter what. Let’s make a difference in someone and win them to the Lord.
