Hosea 9

Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.

The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.

They shall not dwell in the Lord’s land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.

They shall not offer wine offerings to the Lord, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the Lord.

What will ye do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the Lord?

For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.

The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.

They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.

10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.

11 As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.

12 Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

13 Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.

14 Give them, O Lord: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.

16 Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.

17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

  1. 17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

It’s better to be found by God than to be lost because when you find Jesus you find eternal life.

  2. 1 Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.

2 The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.

Notice the form of speech God uses. A woman is out harvesting and there is a freedom in the midst of the harvest. She take a gift of money a reward on every corn floor she had taken money from someone for her soul. That is what those who had been God’s people had become. The wife of the living God is this in her apostasy.

  3. 17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

Every good thing comes from the Lord. The Lord can and will remove blessing to get the attention of thoes that he want to compell to worship him. The wrath of the Lord is not something to trifle with.

  4. Verse 17 MSG “My God has washed his hands of them. They wouldn’t listen. They’re doomed to be wanderers, vagabonds among the godless nations.” What a sad/dangerous place to be, when you right out choose sin (evil) rather than be faithful to God. You would think “Why would anyone want to be starved” or “Why would anyone want to be homeless”? The choices and actions that you take reveal the nature of your soul. Colossians 2:11-15 NLT says “When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature.[a] For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed[b] the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.” You have to choose to LIVE-GIVE JESUS².

  5. 10. The LORD says, “O Israel, when I first found you, it was like finding fresh grapes in the desert. When I saw your ancestors, it was like seeing the first ripe figs of the season. But then they deserted me for Baal-peor, giving themselves to that shameful idol. Soon they became vile, as vile as the god they worshiped. NLT

The more we worship God, the more we become like Him. Or, like the ones in this verse, the more they worshiped idols, the more they became like them: shameful and vile.

  6. 7 The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

The further I see people get away from God the more I understand this first how someone can call a prophet a fool and say that spirituality is crazy. The more you are in touch with your flesh the less you’re going to understand or even appreciate what dimensions are available in the spiritual world. The more you seek carnality the less you will see in spirituality. I believe it is important to stay vigilant in our walk at all times to test ourselves and make sure that we are not drifting away from the spirit of God

  7. 16 Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.

17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

The word of the Lord to Hosea seems harsh here concerning Ephraim, but as a warning to each and every one of us today. Those that have been a part of the kingdom of God and did his commandments but due to wickedness and a sinful nature many have been tempted and led to a loose theology and doctrine. The things that were sacred are no longer important.

We have very little time to keep in the fight before the Lord gets ready to come and gather his church home with him and we will be no longer have a chance to make a difference. We have to push the word of Godand revival until the trumpet sounds.

  8. Hosea 9
they took to sin like a pig to filth,
wallowing in the mud with their newfound friends.
Ephraim is fickle and scattered, like a flock of blackbirds,
their beauty dissipated in confusion and clamor,
Frenetic and noisy, frigid and barren,

Wallowing in the mud with their newfound friends.
What a sad picture here. Israel/ Ephraim had known God’s love and care. Yet chose idol worship and sin . They became like those they were running with . They left the blessings of God to wallow in sin .
I’ve seen some of the most beautiful people go into the world and soon they were unrecognizable. Sin will take a toll on a life . How long will it take some to return . I pray not before it is too late.
    Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, seeing we also are compassed about by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

  9. The days of visitation are come
The days of recompense are come
Israel shall know if, the prophet is a fool
The spiritual man is mad, for thy multitude of thine iniquity
    And the great hatred.

Only heaven and hell do not have an end. These two are everlasting.
The rest, everything has a beginning and an end.
And it’s the Lords who determines when to put an end to it.

  10. 17 NLT “My God will reject the people of Israel because they will not listen or obey. They will be wanderers, homeless among the nations.”
    ‭‭
If you don’t listen and obey the word of God, He will wash His hands of you. You will be rejected and cast away. Never feeling pure joy or what it’s like to be truly loved or know peace. All those things come from living for God. Life is not worth living without God in it.

  11. Hosea 9 The Message. Don’t waste your life in wild orgies, Israel.
Don’t party away your life with the heathen.
You walk away from your God at the drop of a hat
and like a whore sell yourself promiscuously
at every sex-and-religion party on the street.
All that party food won’t fill you up.
You’ll end up hungrier than ever.
At this rate you’ll not last long in God’s land:
Some of you are going to end up bankrupt in Egypt.
Some of you will be disillusioned in Assyria.
As refugees in Egypt and Assyria,
you won’t have much chance to worship God—
Sentenced to rations of bread and water,
and your souls polluted by the spirit-dirty air.
    You’ll be starved for God,
    exiled from God’s own country.
Will you be homesick for the old Holy Days?
Will you miss festival worship of God?
Be warned! When you escape from the frying pan of disaster,
you’ll fall into the fire of Egypt.
Egypt will give you a fine funeral!
What use will all your god-inspired silver be then
as you eke out a living in a field of weeds?

    * * *

    7-9 Time’s up. Doom’s at the doorstep.
    It’s payday!
Did Israel bluster, “The prophet is crazy!
The ‘man of the Spirit’ is nuts!”?
Think again. Because of your great guilt,
    you’re in big trouble.
The prophet is looking out for Ephraim,
    working under God’s orders.
But everyone is trying to trip him up.
He’s hated right in God’s house, of all places.
The people are going from bad to worse,
rivaling that ancient and unspeakable crime at Gibeah.
God’s keeping track of their guilt.
He’ll make them pay for their sins.

They Took to Sin Like a Pig to Filth
10-13 “Long ago when I came upon Israel,

it was like finding grapes out in the desert.
When I found your ancestors, it was like finding
a fig tree bearing fruit for the first time.
But when they arrived at Baal-peor, that pagan shrine,
they took to sin like a pig to filth,
wallowing in the mud with their newfound friends.
Ephraim is fickle and scattered, like a flock of blackbirds,
their beauty dissipated in confusion and clamor,
Frenetic and noisy, frigid and barren,
and nothing to show for it—neither conception nor childbirth.
Even if they did give birth, I’d declare them
unfit parents and take away their children!
Yes indeed—a black day for them
when I turn my back and walk off!
I see Ephraim letting his children run wild.
He might just as well take them and kill them outright!”

14 Give it to them, God! But what?
Give them a dried-up womb and shriveled breasts.

15-16 “All their evil came out into the open
at the pagan shrine at Gilgal. Oh, how I hated them there!
    Because of their evil practices,
I’ll kick them off my land.
I’m wasting no more love on them.
Their leaders are a bunch of rebellious adolescents.
    Ephraim is hit hard—
    roots withered, no more fruit.
Even if by some miracle they had children,
the dear babies wouldn’t live—I’d make sure of that!”

17 My God has washed his hands of them.
    They wouldn’t listen.
    They’re doomed to be wanderers,
vagabonds among the godless nations. I will stay with God stay under his wing. Please God cover me at all times! I will live for you the rest of my days!! I love POFW LIVEJESUSGIVEJESUS2

  12. “O people of Israel, do not rejoice as other nations do. For you have been unfaithful to your God, hiring yourselves out like prostitutes, worshiping other gods on every threshing floor. So now your harvests will be too small to feed you. There will be no grapes for making new wine. You may no longer stay here in the Lord’s land. Instead, you will return to Egypt, and in Assyria you will eat food that is ceremonially unclean.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭9:1-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

They rejected God and all the goodness that goes with Him. Now God has rejected them.

  13. Hosea 9:17
My God will reject the people of Israel
because they will not listen or obey. They will be wanderers, homeless among the nations.

We should always listen and obey God

  14. Hosea 9: 7 The days of visitation and punishment have come; the days of recompense have come; Israel shall know it. The prophet is
( considered) a crazed fool and the mam who is inspired is ( treated as if) mad ora fanatic, because of the enmity, hostility, and persecution are great.
Luke 21:22 For those are days of vengeance [ of rendering full justice or satisfaction],that all things that are written may be fulfilled.
“” Vengeance is might sayth the Lord”
Stay under God’s covering don’t leave it!
In Jesus the King of Kings and Lord’s of Lord’s.

  15. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus
1 Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.

Back in them there pagan days, there were prostitutes of baal who would “bless” the harvest in exchange for an offering to baal. The pagans believed that this would be pleasing to their gods and that there would be an abundance of crops. I really don’t think folks believed this hogwash, I think it was just smoke screen for folks to have a naughty time…kinda like the Catholic religious festival of Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Whatever the case, the Jewish Nation thought they were missing out on the fun and started practicing what the pagans practiced and God would not be impressed. The prophet would curse the crop if the people went after these lewd practices instead of blessing the crop.

  16. My God will reject the people of Israel because they will not listen or obey. They will be wanderers, homeless among the nations.
    Hosea 9:17 NLT

The same will happen to us all one day. When the Lord returns we must stand before the Kings of kings and He will either know us and welcome us or He will deny us. It’s time we live everyday like Jesus is coming.

  17. 2 The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.
3 They shall not dwell in the Lord’s land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
4 They shall not offer wine offerings to the Lord, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the Lord.

It is better to be a door keeper in the house of my God than to be living in the tents of sin. There is nothing that can compare to the joy in living for God.

  18. Influence

    17. “…because they did not hearken unto him…”

Voices around us scream for our attention to draw us away from the Lord, ignore His voice and listen to them instead. Voices? I don’t hear voices. Consider the following. Compromise tells us how our convictions are not necessary. Materialism entices us with fancy things which we cannot afford – thus focus on obtaining more money to purchase more things. Satisfaction encourages us to settle for where we are. We have worked hard to obtain our current position – rest a while and enjoy the fruits of our labor.

Convenience offers easier ways than what God requires of us. Peer pressure shows us how to fit in and not be called out as a radical or separatist. Pride reflects our perception of things with no reflection of what God wants. Our enemies purpose in this world is to destroy the Kingdom of God. It has been asked, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Satan uses the same tactics in his effort to destroy Gods people – one at a time. Consider Saul in the 15 chapter of Samuel; he did not do as God instructed.

Was it his pride to do things his own way, peer pressure from his army, convenience to get things done quicker. Maybe it was satisfaction that his victory was won or maybe materialism to look upon all the spoils of the war effort or maybe compromising in what God demanded versus his own personal convictions. Saul listened to all the wrong voices and it cost him the throne of Israel. What are we willing to give up?

  19. TLB – 9 O Israel, rejoice no more as others do, for you have deserted your God and sacrificed to other gods on every threshing floor.

2 Therefore your harvests will be small; your grapes will blight upon the vine.

3 You may no longer stay here in this land of God; you will be carried off to Egypt and Assyria and live there on scraps of food. 4 There, far from home, you are not allowed to pour out wine for sacrifice to God. For no sacrifice that is offered there can please him; it is polluted, just as food of mourners is; all who eat such sacrifices are defiled. They may eat this food to feed themselves, but may not offer it to God.

God would not accept their sacrifices because it was polluted, it wasn’t genuine. They were so busy pleasing the flesh that their sacrifice was full of fleshly thoughts and not God thoughts.

How we are so like Israel. We come to church in the microwave mentality. We want everything “quick” and “painless.” We offer God our little handclaps, our 2 minute prayers and expect thunder and lightning from the Heavenlies, when He has seen our sacrifice during the week. He has seen our carnality. He has seen our fruitlessness.

it is time we get our priorities straight and begin living for God everyday not just on Sunday. We cannot live like the world during the week and be “holy” on Sunday. We must clean our hearts of everything that is not God-like and keep it clean. We must cut out those things that are distractions to us that we can not even focus on God when we are in His House.

How easy it would be for God to turn us our nation over to judgement today because we are living in a wicked nation.

Let us RISE UP, TAKE OUR CITY, be true christians day in and day out, WALK IN THE SPIRIT because we are FULL OF HIS SPIRIT. This is the only antidote to avoid the judgements we read about today.

  20. LIVE – GIVE JESUS2
    A CROWD OR A CHURCH

16 Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.
17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

This chapter is tough to read, knowing how much JESUS loves his people. To learn that HE will cast them away and leave them barren is awakening to for us to know the level of judgement pending for those that dishonor and disobey the WORD and Man of GOD.

The thought made me consider the CHURCH. JESUS loves HIS Church. But, if a church falls into the pattern of idolatry, worshipping its possessions more than its savior. The same barren judgement could befall the CHURCH.

At this point it becomes a crowd, regardless of how many or few people.

A CHURCH is the Body of Christ and fulfills the will of GOD. A crowd is a gather of people for their own pleasure.

I pray we maintain the CHURCH status at The Pentecostals of Fort Worth. Love JESUS, Love HIS WORD, Love HIS People, Love the Lost.

  21. “The Lord says, “All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭9:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“I will love them no more…’’

It’s been said many times’I’d rather be right with GOD, than right with man.’ When I see all the wickedness in our nation today, the statement above is true. I can never see me living without Christ. And I don’t ever. Our Nation is in need of a move of GOD. Our Nation needs to put down every ‘false gods and idols’ and turn back their hearts to the ONE TRUE MERCIFUL LOVING GOD!!!

  22. 17 My God has washed his hands of them.
        They wouldn’t listen.
    They’re doomed to be wanderers,
vagabonds among the godless nations MSG

The choices of the parents will affect their children and all Israel will reap the judgement because they would listen to and heed the warnings of their prophet, the man of God. Hosea had to be a strong man in the Spirit to be immune and turn from the sin of that day, but when you truly fall in love with God and his ways it’s easy! He makes a way even where we may see no way! We serve a jealous God of our time treasure and talent.

  23. 7 The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

People sometimes think that because they are prospering and things seem to be going well, that there is no reason to be concerned. They think that the man of God is a fanatic, or a fool, or is mad. People need to listen to the man of God. Trouble lies ahead for America. People need to repent and get right with God , while there is still time.

  24. Hosea 9:17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

Deuteronomy 28:65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the Lord shall give thee a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:

Psalm 81:11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me .

So sad they would not hear God.
We must listen and obey God and reach our City with His WORD, we must not be distracted.

    Serve and Obey God

  25. The Living Bible vs-16
Ephraim is doomed. The roots of Israel are dried up she shall bear no more fruit. And if she gives birth I will slay even her beloved child.
Ephraim is smitten their root is dried up
Through Ephraim had a beautiful geographical situation and experienced the abundant blessing of God yet barrenness of Land and womb as well as near extinction awaited them.

  26. Hosea 9:7 (Voice)
“The days of punishment have come! The time of retribution is here! Israel will know this! But because you ae so hostile and sinful, you say about me, The prophet is a fool! The man of the Spirit is raving mad!”

So many people today are full of hostility (bitterness, anger, ill-feelings) and sin, that when the Prophet, Man of the Spirit – Pastor, Preaches or Teaches the TRUTH of GOD’S WORD, they don’t want to hear it (they don’t want to hear or obey it). They consider the Man of God a fool or mad (demented, crazy, nutty, etc…). To many people today believe a lie. They believe that the Plan of Salvation is nonessential (unnecessary, needless, unimportant) to be Saved. They believe you don’t have to be baptized in Jesus name or even baptized at all. They don’t believe you need the Holy Ghost or to speak in tongues.

I just want to say “Thank You Pastor Watts” for Preaching and Teaching us the TRUTH of GOD’S WORD. Thank You for Preaching and Teaching us that the Plan of Salvation is the only way to be Saved. Thank You for Preaching and Teaching us how to Walk Right, Talk Right, and Live Right for JESUS. And Thank You for Preaching and Teaching to us that even if people think we are foolish or mad (crazy), we need to “GO and Preach the Gospel and Teach all nations.”

Thank You JESUS! “… it pleased God by the foolishness of Preaching to Save them that believe.” (1 Cor. 1:21)

  27. 12 Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

Someday God is going to depart from this world and be no more with whoever is left here, what a sad day that will be but if we live for him it will be the most joyous day we could ever imagine. God help me give more to you everyday, less of me and more of you God.

  28. Hosea 9

1 Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.

2 The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.

17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him; and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

When you turn away from God and have no relationship with Him, why would God want to have one with you? He does love us and will forgive us, but to totally ignore God and not ever get in his presence, is regrettable. To not have our Lord Jesus in my life, I could not bear it. This is so sad for an abundance of people today.

Thank you Jesus for this day.

  29. 9 They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.

With so many corrupt people in the world, we must continue to strive to be holy. Holiness is the only way to live in order to make it into heaven. God will lead and guide those who let him. We must always be about our father’s business.

  30. “The time of Israel’s punishment has come; the day of payment is here. Soon Israel will know this all too well. Because of your great sin and hostility, you say, “The prophets are crazy and the inspired men are fools!””
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭9:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When we begin to reject the word of God and the man of God, we enter into a dangerous space. Here we begin to remove ourselves from the covering God has placed over us. We step out of our protection. I pray we examine our hearts if we feel contempt towards The Word and/or the man of God. Thank you Jesus for the anointed leaders you have placed at POFW!

  31. 17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

God is more than able to cast away any demon or spirit that may come against you! In camp one night our preacher was talking about a time that he saw a demon and he didn’t know what to do. He had to pray and use the tools God gave him. Pofw we can not let anything overcome us and hope for someone else to help us out…we must stand strong and come against these things with the tools that the Lorc has given us!!! I pray tonight that you don’t back away from your fears or trials but face them with the tools that God has placed in your hands!!!

  32. “My God will reject the people of Israel because they will not listen or obey. They will be wanderers, homeless among the nations.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭9:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This is not a place that I ever want to be in. I do not want to be lost and away from the king of kings and lord of lords. I am thankful to have people throughout my life who have taught me the truth and made sure I stayed on the right path and didn’t get lost. I pray we are able to continue in his will and never get lost to where he rejects us. This isn’t a place we want to be in. We want to be in the greatness of the lord.

Without the Lord in our lives helping us guide us, we start turning to the side where we will get ourselves stuck in bad decisions and situations where we cannot get out of. And if we continue as the Lord is coming on the day of judgment, all you’ve done will come into question with the Lord. I pray that we open our hearts and eyes to realize that is is God’s who protects us and it’s him who raises us up to victory in our battles, it’s God who fills us with peace and joy in our hardest moments. Let us give our all unto God and always follow him for he deserves it.

  34. 17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

What a sad and terrible place to fall under. To he cast away from the presence of God and wander. The word tells us clearly why. Why? Because they did not hearken unto him. Harden not your hearts when you hear the word. Don’t allow your heart to get numb to his voice and calling for you. Yet, when he calls, answer.

  35. 17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

His grace is given to us but we must act on it and turn to him. If not at some point He will be gentlemen enough to allow us to follow our heart. So let’s ensure our hearts are right with him.

  36. “The people of Israel are struck down. Their roots are dried up, and they will bear no more fruit. And if they give birth, I will slaughter their beloved children.””
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭9:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God is the true vine, and we are His branches if we abide not in God than He is not with us, and without God we are nothing. When we abide in God His word is with us, and when we leave God we become broken branches that fall off from the vine of Jesus and left to eternal flames to burn.

  37. “Ephraim’s glory will fly away like a bird— no birth, no pregnancy, no conception. I have seen Ephraim, like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place. But Ephraim will bring out their children to the slayer.””
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭9:11, 13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Because they turn away from God and to idols God is allowing them not to be fruitful. That was one of the first tings in Genesis. Be fruitful and multiply. Here we see that as people are not seeking Jesus he can actually close their wombs and dry their nourishment.

  38. “The prophet is a watchman over Israel for my God, yet traps are laid for him wherever he goes. He faces hostility even in the house of God.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭9:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    Pray for the watchman today
Pray for your Pastor, there’s even traps laid out for him and he even faces hostility. This is the one that sees things a little further for us. The one that receives things that could help us or make us stronger. It’s the enemy’s job to try and make sure you and I are put back in danger and take us out.

  39. 16 Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.
17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

I have warned people before, when they are at the point of giving up and throwing in the towel, that whatever decision you make right now doesn’t just effect you right now. Your deductions affect you and those around you, and sometimes those that come after you!! Have you ever been at work and then someone complain about something or go too far with something?? And then after that the company puts a procedure in place and everyone has to follow the new rule. I have been there before and then your frustrated because that person quits and you are stuck following a rule that wasn’t an issue before they worked there. The same concept applies in this situation. Our deductions, choices, and actions can change a course of multiple things, for more than just our circle. Make wise decisions and keep in mind the repercussions for all.

  40. “My God will reject the people of Israel because they will not listen or obey. They will be wanderers, homeless among the nations.”
    ‭‭Hosea‬ ‭9:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God is calling us to be obedient and listen. We must listen to God and the spiritual leadership over us.

“Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning.”
    ‭‭2 John‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Be responsive to your pastoral leaders. Listen to their counsel. They are alert to the condition of your lives and work under the strict supervision of God. Contribute to the joy of their leadership, not its drudgery. Why would you want to make things harder for them?”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:17‬ ‭MSG‬‬

“Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.””
    ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:1-3‬ ‭NLT‬‬
