Hosea 14
1 O israel, return unto the Lord thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
2 Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.
4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.
6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.
7 They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.
8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.
9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.

The Lord is still speaking to the church in verse 8. He wants the idols of His people to be a thing of the past. He reminds us that He is our protector and provider.

Bring your confessions, and return to the lord. Say to him, “Forgive all our sins and graciously receive us, so that we may offer you our praises.
Being baptized in Jesus name is a beautiful life changing moment. No matter how far away we have run from God he always welcomes us back with open arms. He loves us all so much. Thank you Jesus.

People tend to label those of us that struggle in the Christian walk. However the Lord is a God of second chances and our success is not from our abilities, but from what the Lord does in our life. All hope is not lost for the backslider because the Lord is waiting on a repentant heart.

The plea has been given unto those that have turned away from God and to be given a chance to become righteous and holy again. There are many times God will give each of us a chance to return unto the grace and mercy so that we will be renewed by his spirit and turn from our wicked ways. God is gracious Gid and there is none like him. He will easily forgive us and renew us. The greatest thing about God is that he loves us unconditionally and we can be his child even though we have failed him. He wants us to cast our cares on him for he cares for us.
We have the opportunity to show others the true love of Jesus Christ and be an example of what grace looks like. Don’t let the chance pass you by, get out of the church house and spread the gospel and love of Jesus Christ to every sinner and saint alike. We have the opportunity to the greatest revival that the modern day church has ever seen. Time is wasting away, make the most of the time we have left n

Galatians 5:
22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

All of this fruit comes from the same Spirit – the Spirit of God. God is like an evergreen tree; He doesn’t have seasons where He hibernates and His leaves fall, but His fruit is available to us all year long!

MERCIFUL GOD

The nature of our LORD JESUS is Mercy. HE demonstrated this MERCY when HE gave HIS life on the CROSS for our sins. We learn here from the prophet the true depth of HIS love toward us.
REPENTANCE from man turns the wrath of GOD away. The Kingdom of GOD is pretty simple, we REPENT and OBEY GOD. The HE loves, forgives, resrtores, protects, provides and restores us.
JESUS demonstrates HIS MERCY toward us in this way. When we turn to HIM then HE forgives and heals us. Encourage someone today to turn to JESUS, turn away from their sin and rebellion and turn to JESUS.
Our MERCIFUL GOD will forgive and turn HIS judgement away.

We are responsible for the choices that we make in life, and all choices have consequences. We can follow the instructions in this chapter, and if we have gone astray, served other gods, we can return, repent and the Lord will open His arms to us. If we choose to continue in serving other gods, then we will suffer the consequences of that choice as well.
Let us be wise and understand the heart of God. His heart is not to punish us, but to give us the everlasting life that He died for, so that we might live. I choose life today – life eternal, life in the spirit. I choose to live and give Jesus!

Pray for Wisdom today, that Jesus may fill you with his Spirit and you may walk in truth. Ask that he lead your steps today that you may reach someone who no one else can. He will guide you just be sensitive to the Spirit.

All God has ever asked of his people is for their loyalty. If he is casting down judgment it is because he is a righteous judge, but all of his heart has always yearn for a close relationship with his people.
The Lords mercy is just, and beautiful. His gifts come with out repentance. So when we finally decide(decide we finally will) to turn to God and drop our wicked ways. The Lords mercy is still there.
“Its branches will spread out like beautiful olive trees, as fragrant as the cedars of Lebanon. My people will again live under my shade. They will flourish like grain and blossom like grapevines. They will be as fragrant as the wines of Lebanon.”

God has plans for you to prosper this whole time. Because you fail/ and sin doesn’t mean you won’t see it again. Turn to Jesus once more and he’ll fulfill you with joy and promise

A wise person will choose to obey God’s way, knowing it’s the only way. But a foolish unbeliever will ignore them and find themselves stumbling and falling. Be wise, choose God!

This is a simple thought but so true…right here in this verse God is describing what it means to “fall away”. To be caught up in iniquity is to be caught up and tripped in sin. The word “iniquity” here means perverse. Perverse simple is a word that describes “crooked”. Being a “crook” definitely qualifies you as “fallen from the Lord”.

He’s a good, good Father that protects and provides. Hallelujah!! So why not put down every idol that has no life. I’m His word there is no lack of His promises toward us.

Our God is awesome and there is none like Him! Don’t bother making excuses or making your own way, Jesus is the one true living God and we should worship Him as such! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever – we can depend on Jesus in all things!
Repentance from man turns the rath from God away. This statement from the word is so dynamic! God is so faithful and caring! But sometimes this is confused as a green light to do what one wants and just ask forgiveness. The beauty of God’s love and forgiveness .
Watch they are coming !
They are afraid and embarrassed by the lifestyle they have lived. Their hearts are truly wanting to return and some are so close to coming back. We must continue to pray ! We must be ready and be sure that we show the love for them. I was privileged to
be able to share recently with some who have strayed away that God has never left Je is just waiting for their return and though we make wrong choices as have not been obedient He is still the Father waiting.
The backslider needs healing . This verse says that God will heal their backsliding and love them . We are His Hands. We must reach not with condemnation but with love and allow God to mend them. So yes we must keep praying and believing . They are broken and ashamed but I know the Potter Who wants to put them back together again .

There is love in these verses and longing of a father for his son to come home. He knows they need healing for what caused them to backslide and is willing to reach for them. It’s the goodness of God that brings us to repentance many times and it is shown here. Hearts can be softened and minds opened by his hands and our prayers so that many will return, be healed and saved.

We serve a gracious and merciful God who loves and longs for us to abide in His peace He has given us. I thank God for showing us a love that knows no bounds.

God always take care of his people when we walk in his Spirit for he is a righteous and loving God.

What words do we take with us? The best words are the words God gives us in His Word. When we communicate to God in the words and ideas of Scripture, we find an articulate and effective voice before God.

This verse is foretelling that animal sacrifices will cease and we will bring words to God in repentace, sacrifice, praise and thanksgiving. Not vain repetition, but, words from the heart.

WOW! Our GOD is So Good and So Merciful and So full of Love for us!
This chapter reminds us that if we will Return to God and Repent and Confess our sins, He will be Merciful and Heal us, Love us, and Bless us.

Jesus is so merciful. If we turn to him there is forgiveness healing and mercy.

When God heals and recrives sinners He chooses to love us freely. The thought is UNCONDITIONALLY. God doesnt hold our past against us. He simply showers love on us.

Let us understand that repentance is wise and prudent. If we are to righteous than we need a we need clean hands and a pure heart.
Psalm 24:4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. :5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
What a promise and it is for us as we press into him. Let this day be led through the Spirit. Enjoy your walk with Him.

I think this was talked about Sunday morning… trusting in the flesh…

Only when the smiths gone their skills will they be able to walk continually in the ways of the Lord. We have to purposely choose all day every day to seek Jesus, that is why the prudent man knows and walks upright.

There is no cost for the Love of Jesus Christ! He loves us FREELY! He loves us through our inconsistency, our doubts, and faithlessness.
There is no other love like the Love of Jesus Christ! I can’t help but be reminded of the song; Reckless Love.

There is nothing that we could ever do to earn His Love. We are blessed to able to receive and Love Him with our own wills.

Jesus knows that we are liable to fall for a thousand temptations, He does not look to rebuke us, but heal us from those things.
Not because we deserve it but because He loves us.
Jesus Christ to every sinner and saint alike. We have the opportunity to the greatest revival that the modern day church has ever seen.

Oh how good it is to know that we can be loved freely. Thankful that my sins can be forgiven. Thankful for a god who will love me in spite of all that I am. No matter my inconsistency or troubles. “ he loves us oh how he loves us oh how he loves us oh how he loves”. Because of his goodness any mercy we can praise and be thankful in all that we do.

God loves us all! It doesn’t matter how you are or what you have came from. Are you following His path? You should be following His path always. I pray tonight that you put everything aside and make sure you are always right with God!
Hosea 14 is the fourteenth chapter of the Book of Hosea in the Hebrew Bible or the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. This chapter contains the prophecies attributed to the prophet Hosea son of Beeri as an exhortation to repentance and a promise of God’s blessing.

God’s way is right. It has always been and will always be. The way of a transgressor is hard according to the word of God. once we realize that truth comes from the word of God, we can access that power that God has given us. If we are to be what God has called us to be, we must be willing to dive into his word and not turn back.

God has a certain path for each of his children, no one may have the same. The Lord has our whole lives planned out, he knows when we’re gonna do right and he knows when we’re gonna mess up. He will also have us go through many trials in life that we may not understand, but we must have faith in him during it all for he is doing it for a purpose. And while you are following Gods path, he is making you stronger than the enemy and wiser, while those turning away from his path are weaker to the enemy. I pray we trust what God has for us and obey his word and commands, and we help others realize that it is God that is best for all of us.

Gods ways are right. We will walk them. Bad people will fall to hell. That is what the last three verses are meaning to say. We have to walk in the path of god or we will fall to hell. Let’s do the right path. So we can be with god and not fall in fire for eternity.

Repentance is a wonderful gift. It rebuilds our relationship with the Lord. We should never take this for granted or abuse it. Instead allow God’s goodness and grace to mold our character and make us better.

Have you ever wanted to be called wise?? Simple instructions are nestled in this verse. #1 – Be Prudent, #2 The Ways of God Right/Follow Those Ways.the wise understand the severity of these two simple steps.

What a beautiful example of Old Testament repentance. It is a wonderful example for repentance for us putting other things before God. Today we might not call the other things “our gods “ but that is what we have made them. Oh for us to take this example and follow it so that we can follow God with our whole heart!

When I look back over my life I realize how good God is and that because of His goodness there were often time I just didn’t understand. Yet, He kept me close and protected. He kept me from falling and taught me lessons and strengthened me. I would rather walk with Him than to fall into sin.

Our God is not a man that he should lie, it is these promises that we need to grab ahold of, and trust. If God has made the promise, HE WILL!
