Isaiah 55

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

  1. 1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

The Spirit of God sends out the Evangelistic invitation to Israel to return and at the same time invites everyone everywhere to the gospel feast. All that is necessary is a consciousness of need. The blessings are the waters of the Holy Spirit, the wine of joy, and the milk of the good word of God. They are the free gift of grace, without money and price

  2. Verses 6-7 MSG “Seek God while he’s here to be found, pray to him while he’s close at hand. Let the wicked abandon their way of life and the evil their way of thinking. Let them come back to God, who is merciful, come back to our God, who is lavish with forgiveness.” These verses reminded me of our lesson in Sunday School yesterday in the book of Nahum. Nahum 1:7-10 MSG “God is good, a hiding place in tough times. He recognizes and welcomes anyone looking for help, No matter how desperate the trouble. But cozy islands of escape He wipes right off the map. No one gets away from God. Why waste time conniving against God? He’s putting an end to all such scheming. For troublemakers, no second chances. Like a pile of dry brush, Soaked in oil, they’ll go up in flames.”

  3. 2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Jesus paid the price of our redemption. Trying to be good enough to enter the kingdom of God is futile because only the sacrifice of the cross/ Jesus can cover our sins.

  4. Isaiah 55:6-7
    6) Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
    7) Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

What a promise we have from God. If we will SEEK the LORD and CALL upon HIM, if we will FORSAKE our way and our thoughts, and we will RETURN (REPENT) unto the LORD, then HE will have MERCY upon us and abundantly PARDON (FORGIVE) us.

“:.. behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of SALVATION.” (2 Cor. 6:2)
    SEEK the LORD
    CALL upon HIM
    FORSAKE our way and thoughts
    REPENT
AND GOD WILL HAVE MERCY AND FORGIVE US!!

    Thank You JESUS!

  5. 8. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

    9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

When it seems like things are in a mess and we can’t tell what God is up to, that is when we have to trust Him and remember that He can see the past, present, and future all at the same time and that He wants the best for us even if it doesn’t seem like it at the time.

    2 Corinthians 5:7
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

    Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

  7. Isaiah 55: 1 ( amp) Wait and listen, every one who is thirsty! Come to the waters and he who has no money, come ,buy and eat! Yes, come, buy priceless [ spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [ simply for the self- surrender that accepts the blessing].
Rev. 21: 7-8 He who is victorious shall inherit all these things, and I will be there God to him he shall be my son.
For I am the Alpha and the Omega ,the Beginning and the End.
It is done, so let’s rejoice , and get the Lord praise and glory and honer.

  8. 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

There is so much to the Lord to explore and to get close to that our journey and Christianity is ever seeking. That’s the beauty of it. It’s not just coming to him and once you find him, that’s all there is, God Is So broad and so wide in all of his ways and his thinking is incomprehensible and his Mercy is so great that we may never truly understand it until We rise to meet him. God is beyond gracious and beyond loving. That’s why his invitation to seek him out is evermore. Because God, literally, has no boundaries. He truly is that great and magnificent

  9. Come y’all those that are thirsty. Come to the fountain those who thirst, and you’ll thirst no more.

““Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink— even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk— it’s all free!”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Lord is the source and his supply never runs out!

  10. 1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

The Kingdom of God is exactly what this scripture speaks of. Come one come all everyone is welcome in the Kingdom of God! Young and Old Tall and Short. God wants his people to be fed and never thirst agin. No money? No problem the Kingdom supplies!!!

  11. Isaiah 55
12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Through Jesus Christ has been made for anyone who wants to come to Him! Joy in the Holy Ghost

  12. Hungry

2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

At times, it seems a never-ending circle; I am hungry for something. I go and by and cook and ask people to cook certain things only to feel frustrated for all the effort because I am still unsatisfied. Have you ever felt that way? Sometimes we keep spending and keep working, dreaming, chasing, searching, experimenting — different job, different city, different car, different house, different wife, new computer, new boat, new books, new bike, new grill, new season tickets, new diet, new looks — there’s still a lot of looking around left. But still no pot at the end of the rainbow. No fountain of youth. And every triumph peters out. Everything new gets old, and the options get fewer and fewer.

Of course, this is very carnal but this same frustration can occur in our spiritual life as well. When we are honest, we know there is a canyon of need and longing on the inside, no matter how self-sufficient we look on the outside. God knows even better than we do. He has us in mind when He says, Why do you spend your money for bread which is no-bread, and labor for dreams that do not satisfy? We believe we can work, earn or buy our way to God’s grace and ultimately into Heaven.

God’s love and our salvation are not for sale. The extent to which we experience His love depends on one; how much do we love Him – not for what He can do for us but Him for who He is? Ephesians 2:8, For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. This is our deepest need, and God’s greatest gift. He saves us, not because of anything we do, but because of His great love for us, extending His Grace to us, forgiving us. There is simply nothing like it. A one of a kind relationship that we could never afford with a life time of good deeds.

  13. Isaiah 55:1
“Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink— even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk— it’s all free!

All are welcome to the blessings of salvation. Jesus welcomes everyone with open arms. Whoever is thirsty for the truth of the gospel of God come and drink deeply of His excellent provision, which is freely given.
    Thank you Jesus

  14. 3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

We have a call from the Lord to draw near to him, seek him now and allow his word to accomplish in our lives what he has sent it for. Pastor preached about the will of the Lord vs our will and that timely word blends with today’s chapter. Let that word accomplish what God sent it to do in each of our lives. Seek him first.

  15. 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
We may not always understand where God is leading us sometime, but He sees the bigger picture. And in the end His way is always turns out to be the best way.

  16. LIVE – GIVE JESUS2
    FOLLOW JESUS

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

To LIVE JESUS means to follow JESUS. We know that JESUS is the WORD of GOD made flesh. When the WORD of GOD goes forth, (we read the Bible or the hear the preached WORD of GOD). We have a choice to make to either follow the WORD; meaning obey what we read or hear. Or we can follow our feelings that may oppose what we hear or read.

The BLESSING of following JESUS is that, HE will accomplish what HE said, HE will prosper or increase along the way, HE will share PEACE, JOY and PRAISE along the way.

FOLLOW JESUS today and LIVE in HIS Blessing.

  17. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

EVERYTHING HAS A PURPOSE!!! Even the SNOW!!!! EVERYTHING even the “weeds” which I have learned are medicinal. GOD IS SOOO.GOOD TO US!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  18. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
“Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near”

It’s not a popular message, but folks cannot come to God unless the father draws Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

When the Father starts drawing, it’s not wise to reject that pull. We can not save folks, each person has their own free will. It’s up them whether they accept salvation

  19. 11 It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

13 Where once there were thorns, cypress trees will grow. Where nettles grew, myrtles will sprout up. These events will bring great honor to the Lord’s name; they will be an everlasting sign of his power and love.”
    Isaiah 55:11‭, ‬13 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.55.11-13.NLT

The Word of God is so fruitful!! And it is settled in heaven! Anything you speak the Word of God over has the ability to bear fruit! This is why praying Scriptures is so powerful and such an integral and important part of our walk!! Hallelujah!!

  20. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
God word will always produce results It is up to us to spread it

  21. 10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

His Word is yea and amen; it will always stand true. Every word, every promise, it will come to pass. Trust in the Lord in the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind. His Word cannot fail and it will not fail!! Thank You Lord for a firm foundation!

  22. 5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

God will give influence to those that are seeking His Kingdom and His ways. If we will take the time to drink from the ever flowing fountain of His Spirit, He will guide us to people that will not only listen to the gospel of the Kingdom, but will become part of the Kingdom.

  23. 1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

In this world, the people that seem to have everything are the ones who are wealthy. In God’s realm, you don’t have to have a lot of money. You can buy into God’s kingdom without money. He gives freely to us from his riches. We are wealthy in him. We have things that money cannot buy.

  24. “Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://www.bible.com/116/isa.55.7.nlt

    We gotta die daily
You wanna good relationship with Jesus then you need to turn away from your wicked ways and say no to the flesh. Step one to a strong relationship with Jesus
1 say nope to flesh. Turn away and repent for everything even the things you didnt know was sin.
Everyday our mind gets bombarded by the things of this world and we have to find ways to protect ourselves and it’s starts with turning to the Lord and turning away from ourselves

  25. “Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:2-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
The Bible clearly asks a simple question. I guess it depends on whom you’re asking.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭8:36‬ ‭KJV
In today’s chapter 23 of proverbs tells us this:

“Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit. In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23:4-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Ecclesiastics also tells us in the Bible:

“Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity. What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?”
    ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭1:2-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    And theses scriptures are true!

What is most important to me in life is my relationship with Jesus Christ. But not to keep what He has done for me to myself but able to share the gospel with others. That they also will be born again of the water and the Spirit. This is life and the only way to live. This brings joy and peace!!

  26. saiah Chapter 55

Verse 11 above we see that Gods word accomplishes the task or tasks in which it has been sent. Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? His blessings are new every morning.

Because of this we may break out in praise as in verse 12 the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. This is the the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 103:1 ¶ [[A Psalm of David.]] Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Psalm 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Psalm 103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Psalm 103:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Psalm 103:5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Amen Amen

  27. 1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

Continue eating the word of God because it fills your mind, body, spirit, and soul to peace and we can continue going forward in growing with God. He has mercy on those that still have time to return to him and accept Jesus fully and obey his word. Hallelujah!!!
    Thank You Jesus!

  28. 12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Do not let the burdens of this world bring you down stay in the JOY OF THE LORD AND HIS EVERLASTING PEACE!!!

  29. “Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:6, 8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Right here, right now!

Matt 6:10 – Call on Him now and seek His Will be done! For His thoughts are far beyond we can imagine.

  30. vs 6-7
It is in the free pardon that God offers the wicked that the sharpest difference between God’s thoughts and our thoughts are seen. We feel anger and outrage and call for revenge. God feels compassion and love and extends mercy. Thus God’s word is gentle and life -giving in Isaiah’s analogy like the gentle rain that waters the earth and causes life to spring up. What a warm and wonderful view of God.

  31. 1 “Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink— even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk— it’s all free!
2 Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food.
3 “Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David.
    Isaiah 55:1‭-‬3 NLT

The world can offer many things that our will can want and desire. These things will eventually run out and leave you wanting for more. Jesus is saying come to me and I will give you everything you need. All we have to do is take the step of faith and follow Him. He will make a covenant with us that will never fail.

  32. 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Today is the day of salvation. And the price has already been paid. He asks to come and buy free of charge. Yet many still remain afar off. Many that have heard and see and yet still choose to not seek the Lord. It clearly let’s us know that there will be a time when people will seek and will not find him. The window of opportunity is still there.

  33. “For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Never doubt in what the Lord is able to do, for he can do all things, never forget of what he has healed you from and what he has saved your from. Trust in the Lord always, for he has everything prepared for you even when you feel like there’s nothing ahead God has a purpose for you and he knows your worth and what you are capable of.

  34. 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

He is the only name that we should call upon! No other name is deserve our praise. We should always have a good relationship with God for it is well needed! It doesn’t matter what you’re going through, have been through, said, or done….He will always be there. If God will never leave you that means us as the flesh leave Him. I pray tonight that you are making the right decisions for the good of of Christ!!!

  35. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

God’s way is the right way. There is no other way to get to heaven, but by the way of the Lord. His very thoughts are far above our own. Our God is worthy to be praised. Even when we may not feel like it, he’s still worthy to be praised.

  36. 3“Come to me with your ears wide open.
Listen, and you will find life.

Not only to his his Word, but to pay attention when it’s being given. Listen, obey and apply daily and your life will be blessed. Take time to read and listen to God, and you’ll be directed to choose wisely.

  37. 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

Righteousness and unrighteousness cannot walk together in agreement. The ways and thoughts of God are contrary to the ways and thoughts of unrighteousness. God desires to pull those that are walking in darkness into the light of who He is. Yet it requires them to seek Him and turn from their own ways of unrighteousness.

  38. Isaiah 55

7 Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God for he will forgive generously.

We do die daily! This is why we repent daily. We must love Jesus and help the wicked to find Jesus and change their ways.
Thank you Jesus for this day!

  39. 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

We are not promised tomorrow. We must seek Jesus everyday, while we can. We are in the last days, and one day, His Spirit will be removed, and it will be too late then…

  40. “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:10-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We as believers should be like the rain and the snow also. Everywhere we go we should leave it better than when we arrived, whether that’s influencing others to do better or keep moving or simply sparking conversation with the stranger in the grocery store. When we leave situations and people we should know they have been positively impacted and longing for Him.

  41. “It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

With the Word we can always count on it to produce and prosper. We may not see the outcome we think is best because the Word does not make what we want to happen but what God wants to happen. Just know, wherever we apply the Word, production and prosperity are sure to ensue!

  42. Isaiah 55:6 seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

I can’t stress this enough to my family and friends!!

  43. 4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

Some of us speak and say we are not leaders, yet this verse stars otherwise. “. . . I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.” Just simply being a witness is leading people in a path they need to do. Be a witness through your actions, be a witness through your verbiage, be a witness through staying spiritually unwavered in the ups and downs of life. Simply staying true to our beliefs will be a witness to those around us, even when we don’t realize who we may be touching.

  44. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
