Zephaniah 2

Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;

Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the Lord’s anger come upon you.

Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.

Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the Lord is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.

And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.

And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the Lord their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.

I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.

Therefore as I live, saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.

10 This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the Lord of hosts.

11 The Lord will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.

12 Ye Ethiopians also, ye shall be slain by my sword.

13 And he will stretch out his hand against the north, and destroy Assyria; and will make Nineveh a desolation, and dry like a wilderness.

14 And flocks shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the cormorant and the bittern shall lodge in the upper lintels of it; their voice shall sing in the windows; desolation shall be in the thresholds; for he shall uncover the cedar work.

15 This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

  1. 8 I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.

11 The Lord will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.

Next, come Moab and Ammon. God had heard their insolent words and boasts against His people. They will be left desolate, and the residue of God’s people will dwell there. verse 11 anticipates millennial conditions when the Lord has reduced to nothing all the gods of the earth.

3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

Always seek the Kingdom Of God first thing in the morning when you wake up and continue to be righteous everyday to please God.

    Thank You Jesus!

  3. Verses 1-3 VOICE “You shameless bunch of people, gather together now and pray. Do it while there is still time, before all these terrible things happen. I’m warning you they are beginning to happen; The day is blown away like chaff. God will not stand by. Do it before the terrible Eternal’s anger comes down on your head. Do it soon before the appointed time when His anger rains down over you. Seek the Eternal. Only He can save you, Judah. Call out to Him, all who realize their lowly places on the earth, All who are trying to live by His teaching. Pursue what is just and chase after true humility. Maybe, just maybe, the Eternal will hide and protect you from what will happen on that terrible day when His anger is unleashed.” Same verses CEV “You disgraceful nation, gather around, before it’s too late. The Lord has set a time when his fierce anger will strike like a storm and sweep you away. If you humbly obey the Lord, then come and worship him. If you do right and are humble, perhaps you will be safe on that day when the Lord turns loose his anger.” Heed the warnings! Seek and turn to the Lord while you still have the chance to do so.

Isaiah 55:6-7 ANP says “Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call on Him [for salvation] while He is near. Let the wicked leave (behind) his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion (mercy) on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.” Same verses MSG “Seek God while he’s here to be found, pray to him while he’s close at hand. Let the wicked abandon their way of life and the evil their way of thinking. Let them come back to God, who is merciful, come back to our God, who is lavish with forgiveness.” Same verses CEV “Turn to the Lord! He can still be found. Call out to God! He is near. Give up your crooked ways and your evil thoughts. Return to the Lord our God. He will be merciful and forgive your sins.” LIVE-GIVE JESUS².

  4. Zephaniah 2:3 NLT
3 Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you— protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.

If we want to be be saved and receive an answer from God we must have a humbled heart. Humbling ourselves means we are submitted to Him and those in authority over us. A humble heart gives us access to His throne.

  5. 15 This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

Men shouldn’t be alone. Some people tend to think that way: first me, second me, and third me. They call that their priority list. Always put to see what’s in it for them. Pride and selfishness overpower them. They go through life burning bridges, if you did something I didn’t like you’re out never to speak to you again. Little by little they destroy everyone around them and then they say that those weren’t real friends because they didn’t stuck by them. You can only put up with so much. God’s Grace is everlasting but we can go on in life hurting and miss treating people all we want and expect them to stay. Dying all alone has to be the scariest thing but being judge by Christ after knowing the truth has to be worse. The only solution is to REPENT OF ALL YOUR SINS, RUN TO JESUS, AND BE FILLED WOTH THE HOLY GHOST WITH THE EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN OTHER TONGUES. Treat others with love and respect and you will never be alone.

  6. 11 The Lord will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.

Well generally I don’t wish harm on anybody and I do not desire bad for anything to happen, part of me is looking forward to the day when the Lord shows himself kind to his people and all the evil in this world is dealt with righteously. I wish for people to repent and turn from their ways but I know that due to God’s love for free will it’s up to them and with all the atrocities that are committed I pray not just God’s mercy but that if their eyes cannot be open that God deals with them appropriately.

  7. 3. Seek the Eternal. Only He can save you, Judah. Call out to Him, all who realize their lowly places on the earth, All who are trying to live by His teaching. Pursue what is just and chase after true humility. …Voice

  8. 3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

Regent definition: Meekness is essentially an attitude or quality of heart whereby a person is willing to accept and submit without. resistance to the will and desire of someone else.24 In the case of Christians, this is God.

When we come back to God after messing up somewhere this is how it’s done. With meekness. Submission to the will of God. Righteous actions and allowing that righteousness to over take the repented heart.

  9. Zephaniah 2: 3 ( amp) Seek the Lord inquire for Him
Inquire of him ,and require him [ as the formost necessary of your life] all you humble of the land, who have acted in compliance with His revealed will and have kept His commandments; seek righteous, seek humility inquire for them, require [ as vital], It may be you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger.
Jesus can only give you peace in your soul through all the storms of life.
    Hallelujah praise God .

  11. I love pofw LIVEJESUSGIVEJESUS2. Love God with all your heart. Respect him and love him and obey him. Talk to him as much as possible!! Obedience is better than sacrifice. Thank you Lord!!

  12. “This is the boisterous city, once so secure. “I am the greatest!” it boasted. “No other city can compare with me!” But now, look how it has become an utter ruin, a haven for wild animals. Everyone passing by will laugh in derision and shake a defiant fist.”
    ‭‭Zephaniah‬ ‭2:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We have to consistently check our pride. Do we have pride in ourselves or in the Lord? When we go about our day are we interested more in what we can do or what God can do? When we speak with others do they hear/see us or Jesus?

Our answer should be the latter. Yes, it is difficult because we have flesh but it is not impossible. Our God is greater. Our God is stronger. He is higher than any other! I pray as we go about our day we exalt His name and boast in Him and not ourselves

  13. Come together in unity. Come together and be humbled. You don’t want the bad attention from God because you boast about yourself being strong and mighty. Be careful God will put you down and settle you to be humbled.

Come to repentance. Let God run through your city and you’ll never go wrong! Preach through the streets and let the praises of the Lord be heard from city to city!

  14. 10 This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the Lord of hosts.

Mankind often looks at outward evidence of sin, but God looks at the heart. Pride is one sin that the Lord hates and will quickly avenge.

  15. 3 seek ye the Lord, all ye meek off the earth which have wrought his judgment , seek righteousness, seek meekness
It may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

    Oh merciful God. 🙌 hallelujah.
    👉🏼 Seek the Lord

  16. 3 NKJV “Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of the Lord’s anger.”

For those who repent and seek the Lord, mercy and grace is still available. Isaiah 55:6 “Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.”
    ‭‭

  17. Zephaniah 2:3
Seek the Lord, all who are humble and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.

    Seek the Lord

God is looking for seekers! God is looking for those who will not be afraid to try and establish a one-on-one, personal, on-fire, passionate, intense, and willing to tell-all and share-all love relationship with Him. God is looking for a maximum intense kind of personal relationship with no holds barred. Seek, and then you will find God. Draw near to God, and then He will draw near to you. Ask, and then you will receive. Knock, and then the doors will opened up for you. God is telling us to seek after Him with “all of our heart” and with “all of our soul.” Seeking after God with “all” of our heart and “all” of our soul is showing us that God is wanting us to come after Him with maximum intensity, not with a half-hearted or lukewarm attempt.

  18. Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you— protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.
    Zephaniah 2:3 NLT

The choice is ours; it would be wise to heed every call of repentance! No one is exempt. We are all at the mercy of our great and mighty God.

  19. Zephaniah
Seek God, all you quietly disciplined people
    who live by God’s justice.
Seek God’s right ways. Seek a quiet and disciplined life.
Perhaps you’ll be hidden on the Day of God’s anger.

Seeking God daily , submitted and obedience to His Word . Truly we must walk daily hand in hand with Jesus.

  20. 2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the Lord’s anger come upon you.

3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

The call comes again to seek the Lord before he unleashes his wrath. Today is the day of salvation because we aren’t promised tomorrow. Seek him while he can be found with a humble and contrite spirit.

  21. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus

The following is an excerpt from a note in e-sword
“Zephaniah means hidden of the Lord. He lived in Josiah’s reign, and cooperated with that king in his efforts to put down idolatry. His prophecy deals with the sins that were rife in Judah and the fearful retribution that would be inflicted through the Chaldeans.”

Zephaniah was the prophet who assisted righteous King Josiah in turning Judah to the Lord. It appears that the righteousness of Josiah had (at least temporarily) turned the wrath from Judah and had turned it to the surrounding nations who were against Israel

  22. The Lord is gracious and long-suffering towards His people, and exhorted them to turn from their wicked ways, before the fierce wrath of the Lord came upon them. Zephaniah urged the shameful nation to gather themselves together, before the Lord’s righteous decree would be carried out – they were admonished to turn from their wicked ways.

  23. Zephaniah 2:2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the Lord’s anger come upon you.

    A call to REPENTANCE!!

Msg. V.1-3 So get yourselves together. Shape up! You’re a nation without a clue about what it wants. Do it before your blown away like leaves in a windstorm, Before God’s judgment anger sweeps down on you, Before God’s Judgment Day wrath descends with Full Force.

Isaiah 55:6,7 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Psalm 105:4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

  24. 15 This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

Sounds like alot of places in the world right now!!! Unity in CHRIST will be the only to show the love of CHRIST to this world that desires only to destroy themselves (they don’t see it YET!!!)

  25. 8 I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.

Don’t take advantage just because God had given you another chance

  26. 3 Seek the Lord, all who are humble,
    and follow his commands.
Seek to do what is right
    and to live humbly.
Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you—
protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

All throughout the bible we see the the correct way to establish a strong relationship with Jesus. Its putting our flesh under subjection and humbling ourselves enough to seek his kingdom first and pray. Even just 10 minutes a day will change your life. Then 10 turns to 20 then 20 turns to 45 then before you know it your spouse is looking for you because you’re lost in prayer.

  27. 10 This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the Lord of hosts.
11 The Lord will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.

We worship one God and he is righteous. He will destroy all other gods and bring judgement on the earth.

  28. Zephaniah 2:2-3 (NLT)
    2) Gather before judgment begins, before your time to REPENT is blown away like chaff. ACT NOW, before the fierce fury of the LORD falls and the terrible day of the LORD’s anger begins.
    3) SEEK the LORD, all who are humble, and follow his commands. SEEK to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the LORD will protect you — protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.

It is time to ACT NOW! It is time for “all men everywhere to REPENT.” (Acts 17:30).
ACT NOW – REPENT before the fierce fury of the LORD falls and the terrible day of the LORD’s anger begins.
ACT NOW – SEEK the LORD. Humble yourself before HIM. Follow HIS commands. SEEK what is right and to live humbly.
For if we ACT NOW in REPENTANCE, SEEK the LORD and Humble ourselves before HIM, Follow His commands, SEEK to do what is right and live humbly before HIM, I believe HE will be our PROTECTER in the day of HIS fury and anger.

ACT NOW – 2 Cor. 6:2 says, “…: behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of salvation.”

  29. Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

We should seek the Lord daily. Without Him our lives hold no meaning

3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

Here we see a unique connection of Apostolic culture.

The MEEK will SEEK the Lord.

How often have we read in the BIBLE of men who made a choice or decision without seeking the LORD? The root cause is pride. The spirit of pride will persuade and convince us that we know what is right for our lives. This is the initiation of deception.

The instructions here in verse 3 are for the MEEK to SEEK MEEKNESS.

    WHY?

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

If pride is the way out from GOD and meekness is the way in with GOD, we should LOOK for or pursue MEEKNESS.

MEEK – 1 : enduring injury with patience and without resentment : MILD
a meek child dominated by his brothers
2 : deficient in spirit and courage : SUBMISSIVE
3 : not violent or strong : MODERATE

The struggle in this area comes from our flesh. The flesh seeks to be right in a conflict, prove a point in a decision, or speak evil of others to justify the pride.

However the meek will continue to seek the LORD and look for ways to serve the LORD through submission and humility. JESUS I pray you baptize me with the spirit of meekness so that prude will not destroy me.

  31. 11The LORD will terrify them as he destroys all the gods in the land. Then nations around the world will worship the LORD, each in their own land.

Those in authority of our country may think they are getting away with drawing our nation farther away from God. They want to end prayer, remove The Ten Commandments, and stop the voice of Christians. At the end, God will destroy the country and save his people. We just have to have dominion over the enemy, and we’ll be victorious.

  32. Zephaniah Chapter 2

3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

Let us get started. The first word in this verse is seek. God is not a God of vengeance to those that Love Him. Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. Psalm 119:2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart., Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The next word is Meek. This word is the state that we must be in. Psalm 22:26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. Psalm 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Psalm 147:6 The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground. Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 1Peter 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

The Last words of the above verse Zephaniah Chapter 2:3 is a promise it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger. I think His children will not be on earth but with him during that time. We will be hidden in him.

  33. AMP – 3 Seek the Lord [search diligently for Him and regard Him as the foremost necessity of your life],
All you humble of the land
    Who have practiced His ordinances and have kept His commandments;
Seek righteousness, seek humility [regard them as vital].
Perhaps you will be hidden [and pardoned and rescued]
In the day of the Lord’s anger.

Who and what are we seeking after? Even those that walk uprightly before the Lord, must continually seek after Him. It is so easy to get sidetracked in the daily do’s of life. We must be on purpose, and purpose seek Him and His ways. Judgement like in the days of Zephaniah is also coming to our land. We must be prepared. We must be vigilant, prayerful and intentional about staying right with God.

  34. “Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’s anger.”
    ‭‭Zephaniah‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭KJV

It’s not that people have lack of faith, they have no faith. The things of this world, self and last the enemy has stolen this from them/selves.

Many have sold their birthright for a moment of pleasure where they have become blinded.
This is why as a church we have a great responsibility for our region. To continue to reach for S.O.U.L.S/ A.L.M.A.S

Let us not be deceived, Jesus! If we are not careful this could be you and I.
Let us be busy in His Kingdom alone.
… “for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:21‬ ‭KJV

  35. 3 “Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right
and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you — protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.”

When we were younger, it was known that if you had to say “you were cool”. You in fact were not “cool”. I can’t help but believe the same for humble today. If we have to continue to tell others we are humble, we must ask ourselves does our actions portray that we are humble?

As we choose to daily seek the Lord, allow His Word to influence our actions that they may speak louder than our words.

  36. 15 This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

We’re not here to compete or compare, we’re here to serve.

“And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.””
    ‭‭James‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  37. Zephaniah 2

Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you-protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.

We must stay humble and stay righteous so one day we will be with our Lord Jesus Christ.

  38. “Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you— protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.”
    ‭‭Zephaniah‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God sees all of those who sacrifice unto him, those who work faithfully for him, and those who stand up for him and his word. It is important to surround ourselves with those who do the same, those who help eachother preach Gods word, not those who bring you down for it. I pray that we do whatever the Lord commands and faithfully live for him no matter what, for he sees it all and blessings come to those who obey. Living for God is the best thing you can do.

  39. 3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

  40. 3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

When we seek those things that are holy, we receive power. If seek that which is right, we will find it and God will bless. The enemy’s distractions should not deter us from what God has for us. Focus on God and he will show us the way.

  41. Hide and Seek

3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

It’s so funny how God works. A few days ago I watched a group of kids playing Hide and Seek. It brought me a much joy to see them playing a game I loved when I was a kid.

While watching I thought about the person that was “it” starts the game by counting down and ends the game by tagging someone else. The chaos during the countdown tickled me all the kids running for cover while screaming except one little girl. She slowly walked and found her place to hide. The funny thing is she sat there and never moved. She was like a little ninja. She hide so well that I think the other forgot she was even in the game.

One of the greatest mysteries of God is how he can give us such a calm and peace when those around us are screaming and taking cover. The are at such peace that we could do easily forget that we are even at war. This is a special hiding place in Him. Let us learn to stay seeking Him daily so that when the chaos begins we are already battle ready because the battle is not ours but God.

  42. 3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

    First seek Jesus
    Second seek righteousness
    Third seek meekness

First and foremost we should always seek Jesus first, before we do anything, that it be what He has for us to be doing. Second, righteousness, that we fight the good fight, running the race with a determination of doing right and bringing Jesus honor. Third meekness, weeelllll, we must stay humble, seeking Jesus and to help others before ourselves. Meekness is almost the exact direct opposite of pride, what caused 1/3 of the angles to be cast from heaven.

Just think about that for a minute…

  43. 11 The Lord will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.

Every other God or idol should be gone and cast out of our lives. We serve only the one true living God. There is none above or beside Him! I pray tonight that you always giving Him praise for He deserves it truly!!!

  44. 2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the Lord’s anger come upon you.
3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

Seek. . . Seek . . . Seek. . . Seek . . . Seek. . . Seek . . . Seek. . . Seek . . . Seek. . . Seek . . .seek so that you are his from the anger of the Lord! God will grow angry with those who do not support Him or those who decide to go against Him! “. . . seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

  45. 11 The Lord will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.

Every knee will fall and every tongue will confess that He is God. (Ro 14:11-12). We must be accountable of our actions and confess in repentance to God before judgment seizes us. The prophet is trying to warn the people that the terror that is soon to come is because of their wickedness, selfishness, pride and stubbornness. To love God is to love like God. He will always point us in the direction of holiness and righteousness. Anything that is not of God will fall, this is why repentance is so crucial. Mending our relationship with God puts us under submission and protected from wrath. Their is woe unto those who oppose Him. When they see all their places false worship crumble they will know that their is only One true God. One Lord, one faith, one baptism (Eph 4:5). Recognizing this now would avoid the fall that comes after pride.

  46. “They will receive the wages of their pride, for they have scoffed at the people of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”
    ‭‭Zephaniah‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

That’s a lot of pride to pay for…for anybody! Thank God for His mercy, grace, and forgiveness that we are not worthy of!

  47. “Gather before judgment begins, before your time to repent is blown away like chaff. Act now, before the fierce fury of the Lord falls and the terrible day of the Lord’s anger begins.”
    Zephaniah 2:2 NLT

It’s not time to backdown but it’s time to be made right with Jesus for the day of the Lord is near. Surrender yourself to God and let Jesus be King in your life and let Him make you new. There’s no other ways to spend eternity. Jesus, He is the only way obey and let us be submitted to His command.

  48. “Gather before judgment begins, before your time to repent is blown away like chaff. Act now, before the fierce fury of the Lord falls and the terrible day of the Lord’s anger begins.”
    ‭‭Zephaniah‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Gather as much people we can to the Lord. His judgment is coming. Unite together and repent in the Lord blood.

  49. “The coastland will belong to the remnant of the house of Judah; they will find pasture there. They will lie down in the evening among the houses of Ashkelon, for the Lord their God will return to them and restore their fortunes.”
    ‭‭Zephaniah‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭CSB‬‬

This Scripture means that, The Lord will Restore Us what the enemy has taken from us and God will give Greater Things to The Rightgeaus Who follow His Commands.

  50. “Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, you who do what he commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord’s anger.”
    ‭‭Zephaniah‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

It is important to humble yourself before the lord and seek his face daily. You can’t do this walk on your own. This is why a relationship with him is important so you don’t stray away. Seek first his kingdom always.

  51. 3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.

God is giving us plenty opportunities to change our ways and turn to him. It’s all up to us to seek him in the good and the bad times. Obstacles will get in the way but my will to seek God and his righteousness will supersede them all.

  52. 1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;

There is yet hope. Though there is a prophecy and declaration of Judgment or ill, it’s not the end yet. What do I mean by that. In that strong word for God himself there is also life. Life for there is an option of what to do with such great of warning. If the Lord wanted he could immediately destroy, wipe out or kill every enemy, every sinner, every wicked person, without any warning. It’s his kingdom. But the eviction notice is given as a last resort you pay or your out. In God’s kingdom mentality one could put it this way, this is yours space to repent. This is your very short and last time you will be hearing. So you must turn, humble yourself and seek God or he will definitely destroy you. How can we say this is so? Well we hear about the Judgment give to Nineveh in the book of Jonah. Yes the story centers around Jonah a man who didn’t want to do God’s will and prophecy declare the judgement. Yet the story is also about God’s mercy. A whole nation humbled, fasted and repented before God and he forgave them. Also another example with one of the most wicked kings from God’s people, king Ahab, he put ok ashes, sackcloth and humbled himself, and God saw that.
But there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the Lord, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up. And he behaved very abominably in following idols, according to all that the Amorites had done, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel. So it was, when Ahab heard those words, that he tore his clothes and put sackcloth on his body, and fasted and lay in sackcloth, and went about mourning. And the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, “See how Ahab has humbled himself before Me? Because he has humbled himself before Me, I will not bring the calamity in his days. In the days of his son I will bring the calamity on his house.”
    I Kings 21:25‭-‬29 NKJV

We must know what the Bible says about God’s will. It is not God’s will that any should persiguiendo but that all should come to repentance.
