Jeremiah 5

Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

And though they say, The Lord liveth; surely they swear falsely.

O Lord, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.

I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots’ houses.

They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour’s wife.

Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

10 Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the Lord’s.

11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the Lord.

12 They have belied the Lord, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:

13 And the prophets shall become wind, and the word is not in them: thus shall it be done unto them.

14 Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

15 Lo, I will bring a nation upon you from far, O house of Israel, saith the Lord: it is a mighty nation, it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language thou knowest not, neither understandest what they say.

16 Their quiver is as an open sepulchre, they are all mighty men.

17 And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the sword.

18 Nevertheless in those days, saith the Lord, I will not make a full end with you.

19 And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the Lord our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not your’s.

20 Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying,

21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

26 For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.

27 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich.

28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

29 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

  1. 21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

They have lost the awe and the wonder.  They have lost respect for that which is holy.   The most sacred has become mundane.  Wow how merciful is truly the Lord towards us!  If we make remembrance it was only the high priest that was allowed into the holy of holies  onece per year.  In there is where one would find the Ark of the Covenant which represented the presence of the Lord.  That place was sacred, and held with  reverence. His presence was respected and feared.

Today is not so much.  The instruments of the temple, whether a cup, a table, garment or musical instruments were all consecrated unto the Lord.  They were set apart, they were valued.  If those inanimate things were sanctified for God;  how much more should we not present ourselves a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto the Lord.

May we never loose the wonder of his majesty. May we never loose the awe and fear of this terrible God.
It is surely by the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed.   He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords and His words are law in his kingdom.  For the earth is the Lord’s and its fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein.

May your entering in to the house of the Lord be a blessing, may you treasure his presence,  may the awe, wonder and fear of the Lord  be always with you.

We must remember he is Holy.  The angels cry holy, holy, holy.

  2. 14 Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

God marvels at the Obtuseness of His foolish people. The sea obeys Him, but they do not. They show no inclination to fear the One who gives rain even when the rain is withheld. How can God withhold punishment from a nation so defiant, so rebellious, so steeped in sin?

  3. Jeremiah 5:23‭-‬25 NLT
But my people have stubborn and rebellious hearts. They have turned away and abandoned me. They do not say from the heart, ‘Let us live in awe of the Lord our God, for he gives us rain each spring and fall, assuring us of a harvest when the time is right.’ Your wickedness has deprived you of these wonderful blessings. Your sin has robbed you of all these good things.

Rebellion and stubbornness will lead you away from the Lord. They will make you selfish, ungrateful and blind to the blessing of God. If you want to live a blessed and fruitful life don’t let sin robb you from it.

  4. 25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

    James 1:17 (Kjv)
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

What our flesh does to us, totally against us!!! It’s true it limits us!!! If we crucify the flesh we can do the will of GOD!!!

  5. Jeremiah 5:7-9 MSG “Why should I even bother with you any longer? Your children wander off, leaving me, Taking up with gods that aren’t even gods. I satisfied their deepest needs, and then they went off with the ‘sacred’ whores, left me for orgies in sex shrines! A bunch of well-groomed, lusty stallions, each one pawing and snorting for his neighbor’s wife. Do you think I’m going to stand around and do nothing?” God’s Decree. “Don’t you think I’ll take serious measures against a people like this? Verses 26-29 MSG also says “My people are infiltrated by wicked men, unscrupulous men on the hunt. They set traps for the unsuspecting. Their victims are innocent men and women. Their houses are stuffed with ill-gotten gain, like a hunter’s bag full of birds. Pretentious and powerful and rich, hugely obese, oily with rolls of fat. Worse, they have no conscience. Right and wrong mean nothing to them. They stand for nothing, stand up for no one, throw orphans to the wolves, exploit the poor. Do you think I’ll stand by and do nothing about this?” God’s Decree. “Don’t you think I’ll take serious measures against a people like this? Warning again as so many no longer respect the things of God. There is no respect for what is sacred, for those in authority and what is righteous. We must take a stand and call these things out of our lives as verse 25 tells us that God cannot bless bad decisions “Your wickedness has turned these [blessings] away, And your sins have withheld good [harvests] from you.” Same verse MSG “Of course you don’t! Your bad behavior blinds you to all this. Your sins keep my blessings at a distance.”

  6. 22. Do you not realize who I am? Do you not fear Me? Do you not shake in the presence of the Eternal, the Creator of all things? It is I who has drawn for all time the boundaries of the sea. The waves may crash and roar against the sand, But the waters do not cross the lines I have drawn. Voice

Do we not realize who God is? That He created us and the seas? Doesn’t that alone earn Him respect?
Don’t we understand that He could control us as He does the seas, not allowing them to cross the boundaries He has created for them?Instead, He has given us the power of choice and, as a people, we have crossed every boundary He has set.
Where is the fear and respect? If we don’t repent and wake up on our own, He will literally, “Put the fear of God in us”.

  7. 1 Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

While He is a merciful God and a loving father, He is also a righteous judge and bound by his word. God is looking for his children to see him and he is looking for repentance from those that have turned away so that they may have his grace. how is waiting and giving them every opportunity to turn back towards him and receive Mercy but alas there will he judgment on those that have not taken the opportunity

  8. A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
I love pofw live Jesus give Jesus 2. WOW JUST WOW how this so describes today!

  9. 19 And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the Lord our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not your’s.
And this is exactly what happens when we take our eyes off of God. Slowly the end result becomes slavery to something else. We have free will to choose which one- service to a loving God or slavery to things that can bind us.

  10. 3 O Lord, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

Exodus 32:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

Acts 7: 51 You stiff-necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always resist the Holy Spirit! 52 Was there ever a prophet your ancestors did not persecute? They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him

Pride!!!! Pride will take you to your grave!!! The unwillingness to submit or surrender will harm you over and over again. How do I know??? God had to take me to a place where I lost EVERYTHING for me to finally humble myself and completely surrender once I did that I realized that control is an illusion the only one that has absolute control is JESUS!!! I finally learn that all men are created with a free will to choose but all choices don’t only affect yourself but others even people that you don’t know. Is like the drunk that decides to drive and crashes against an innocent person. That small choice of getting behind the wheel affect a person that they did not know. It is that simple. So before you make a decision, think how can this affect my family, my neighbor, my friends, and finally even the unknown person. In the same way GOOD CHOICES, GODLY CHOICES affect all of those around us and even strangers!!! So LIVE, GIVE, JESUS!!!!!!

  11. Mockery.

“God’s prophets are all windbags who don’t really speak for him. Let their predictions of disaster fall on themselves!’””
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The world talks like this. They speak evil against the men of God that speak truth and righteousness. The worldly carnal people will never understand the power God has given our prophets. They talk them down, say that their lying and even call them a cult. This is evil. We should not talk like this. Because the world already does talk this against us.

Jesus will have his vengeance. Have mercy Jesus. Let your justice speak.

  12. Oh Senor JESUS ten misericordia de tu pueblo que se empena en desobedecer tus designios y ayudanos a hacer in Corazon que te valore y te adore.

  13. 19 And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the Lord our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not your’s.

The Lord will not be mocked. When someone is in rebellion from the will of the Lord, their deviant choice will lead to bondage.

  14. 1 run ye and fro Through the streets of Jerusalem and
See now, and know and seek in the broad places thereof
If ye can find a man if there be that executed judgment
That seekers the truth and I will pardon it.
    ——
God wants to save, and in his mercy he still wants to give the last chance before his brings judgment.
The lord says: go! Go and see, maybe just maybe there’ll be one….
    👉🏼 Go!
Take a chance, do it with purpose
And yes, there is still people out there that are just waiting for someone to speak into their life( the word of God)
Through love and an act of kindness).to show Jesus to them.
And yes, the Lord knows the heart of men.some would say “the Lord livery” yet means nothing.
But I believe we can still do our part.
    Hallelujah 🙌
    Blessed his holy name.

  15. “Should I not punish them for this?” says the Lord. “Should I not avenge myself against such a nation? “Go down the rows of the vineyards and destroy the grapevines, leaving a scattered few alive. Strip the branches from the vines, for these people do not belong to the Lord. The people of Israel and Judah are full of treachery against me,” says the Lord.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:9-11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This decision of whether or not to completely destroy his own people is totally in God’s hands. It reminds me of God’s words to Satan in the book of Job. In the case of Job, God wasn’t displeased at all with Job like he is here with Judah. But when it comes to God’s ability to limit the chastening of his people – whether that comes in the form of Babylon in Jeremiah or even Satan himself in Job – God is in full control.

  16. 21-22 NKJV “‘Hear this now, O foolish people, Without understanding,Who have eyes and see not, And who have ears and hear not: Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord. ‘Will you not tremble at My presence, Who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? And though its waves toss to and fro, Yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.”
‭‭ Isaiah 6:10 “Harden the hearts of these people. Plug their ears and shut their eyes. That way, they will not see with their eyes, nor hear with their ears, nor understand with their hearts and turn to me for healing.””
‭‭ Proverbs 1:7 NKJV “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
    ‭‭
It’s quite clear these people were fools. They were warned numerous times but did not take heed. They choose to ignore God and in turn paid the consequences.

  17. Thank you Jesus for today – let’s turn back to God with open spirits

Their weapons are deadly; their warriors are mighty. But my people have stubborn and rebellious hearts. They have turned away and abandoned me.

  18. Jeremiah 5:22 ( amp) Do you not fear and reverence Me? says the Lord, Do you not tremble before Me ?
I, Who place the sand for the boundary of the sea, a perpetual barrier which it cannot pass and by an everlasting ordinance beyond which it cannot go ?
And through the waves of the sea toss and shake themselves, yet they cannot prevail [ against the feeble grains of sand which God had ordained by nature sufficient for His purpose); through the billows roar, yet they cannot pass over that barrier.
[Is not such a God to be reverently fear and worshiped
Ps. 5: 7 But as for me, I will enter Your house through the abundance of Your steadfast love and mercy; I will worship toward and at your holy temple in reverent fear and awe of You.
Don’t listen what this world is telling you.
There nothing trustworthy or truthful than the Lord Jesus Christ.
Be careful what you allow to come in your heart.
Search my mind and my heart O Lord.
Lean me, guide me , and lead me into your righteous.
We need your wisdom, knowledge and guidance.
    Jesus is all you need.

  19. Jeremiah 5
3 O Lord, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

4 Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.

5 I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

6 Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

7 How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots’ houses.

8 They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour’s wife.

9 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

10 Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her battlements; for they are not the Lord’s.

11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, saith the Lord.

12 They have belied the Lord, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:

    Total Collision
    Refused to receive correction .
They lost their Praise verse 3
    Famine came upon them
To be spiritually in chaos is a complete Avenue for destruction. I believe when someone refuses the correction and instruction of the spiritual authority they have wanted amd asked for in complete rebellion there can be nothing but destruction. To say that one will be all right without obedience and receiving instruction is totally against the word of God . His places leaders all throughout the Word and yet Israel and Judah are not walking after the ways of God . When you lose your praise to God what’s left but self gratification. Proven here in these scriptures the people began commuting not only natural sexual sins but spiritual adultery. We must guard every aspect of our walk with God especially our heart . There is nothing worth losing our relationship with God over. Create in me a clean heart amd daily renew my spirit as I walk hand in hand with You. Don’t let my hand in hand just be an outward visual
To the world but let the depth of my love for You Jesus be an inward relationship that is seen and felt by You . To live Jesus when no one else sees me will help me to give Jesus when others see me .
    In Jesus name .

  20. NLT – 5 So I will go and speak to their leaders.
Surely they know the ways of the Lord
    and understand God’s laws.”
But the leaders, too, as one man,
    had thrown off God’s yoke
    and broken his chains.
    6 So now a lion from the forest will attack them;
a wolf from the desert will pounce on them.
A leopard will lurk near their towns,
tearing apart any who dare to venture out.
    For their rebellion is great,
    and their sins are many.

When someone takes God’s yoke off of their life, by walking in their own ways, or by rebelling against God and leadership, they are no longer protected. Oh the enemy will make them believe they are right. In their own eyes, it will appear as they are prospering like never before. Make no mistake, God’s word does not and cannot lie – destruction will come.

We must heed the words of Jeremiah – make our hearts right, repent and follow the Lord, build up our relationship with Him through prayer and the word and allow His ways to become our ways. The more we “get into” Jesus the more Jesus “gets into” us. We are no longer living out of our own will and our own attributes, but we are becoming more and more like Jesus everyday!

  21. Have you no respect for me? Why don’t you tremble in my presence? I, the Lord, define the ocean’s sandy shoreline as an everlasting boundary that the waters cannot cross. The waves may toss and roar, but they can never pass the boundaries I set.
    Jeremiah 5:22 NLT

If the oceans can obey the boundaries of the Lord, so can I and so will I. We can’t keep toying around the boundaries and guards His Word has established for us. They are set there to keep us so we can be holy like unto Him.

Your wickedness has deprived you of these wonderful blessings. Your sin has robbed you of all these good things.
    Jeremiah 5:25 NLT

When we dabble on the lines of sin, and joke about what’s really “serious,” we rob God. I remember a message Pastor preached not too many years ago about robbing God, but it wasn’t about money. When we mess around and try to do our own thing, we rob God of the opportunity to bless us, lead us, and protect us. That’s not a place I want to be!

  22. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2
Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.

God is looking for someone to step into the gap. We the church can step in and pray and watch God send forth his pardon. Most often this occurs at the altar. As ministers of the gospel, we lead people to repentance and God does the rest.

  23. 3 “Lord, you are searching for honesty…” NLT

Thank God, He isn’t looking for the strongest, the smartest, or even the one who has it all put together. He’s looking for the willing, the honest. The illusion that God will only use the smartest, or the holy ones is from the advisory to stop you from being willing.

He can take what you have, and use it for His Kingdom. As long as you are honest and willing.

  24. Jeremiah 5:3,4 O Lord, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return. Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God.

Isaiah 9:13 For the people turneth not unto him that smitheth them, neither do they seek the Lord of hosts.

They were full of pride, pray our City repents and seek God before God’s vengeance.

    Psalm 33:18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

    Walk not as Fools
Ephesians 5:15-20 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another and the fear of God.

  25. 22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.

It is a serious situation when a person has no fear of God and many around us today are in this same state of mind. No fear of God and when God sends judgement there will still be many who will not turn to Him, rather they will blame him for upsetting their world! We pray the Lord will soften the hearts and open the minds of as many as he can move upon -so they can hear his word and be saved!

  26. Jeremiah 5:18
“Yet even in those days I will not blot you out completely,” says the Lord.

The Lord loves us so much. No matter how far we have run he always welcomes us back with open arms. Thank you Jesus

  27. 27This is what the Lord says:
“The whole land will be ruined,
but I will not destroy it completely.
    28The earth will mourn
and the heavens will be draped in black
because of my decree against my people.
I have made up my mind and will not change it.”
First i was gonna blog about how God does not change his word but finishing up the chapter and reading over the last few verses again this caught my eye.

29At the noise of charioteers and archers,
    the people flee in terror.
    They hide in the bushes
    and run for the mountains.
All the towns have been abandoned—
    not a person remains!
    30What are you doing,
    you who have been plundered?
Why do you dress up in beautiful clothing
    and put on gold jewelry?
Why do you brighten your eyes with mascara?
Your primping will do you no good!
The allies who were your lovers
despise you and seek to kill you.
31I hear a cry, like that of a woman in labor,
the groans of a woman giving birth to her first child.
It is beautiful Jerusalem4:31 Hebrew the daughter of Zion.
gasping for breath and crying out,
    “Help! I’m being murdered!”

The church is in need of laborers, people that arent worried so much about their outward appearance but those worrying about their salvation. I’m afraid weve taken a lot of time for US for our OWN glory and our OWN appearance…im afraid some of us have said let me just work on me. Thats the biggest trick from the enemy thinking you need to step down or out of ministry to focus on yourself. My bible says to seek ye first the kingdom and those “things” were worried about will come to us. We have a church that is about to be birthed

  28. 22Have you no respect for me? Why don’t you tremble in my presence?

If you don’t fear God, you don’t respect God. Same with parents, children who don’t fear their parents, don’t respect them. Same with authority, those who don’t fear authority, wont respect authority. We have to have a sense of fear, to give respect for others, authority and to God. Without respect, chaos will soon follow.

  29. 21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

The world is so full of sin that it has made people be blind in the spiritual sense. They don’t know when God blesses them, instead they call it luck. They don’t understand as to how powerful God really is .

  30. 31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

The people wanted to hear good things and smooth things. So the false prophets told them what they wanted to hear. In the end, the judgement of God awaits. Thank God for true men of God who speak the truth.

  31. LIVE – GIVE JESUS2
    A DECLARATION FROM GOD

It seems the LORD was pressed to the point of a strong response. I believe we are wise to learn from the pain of others. Lets look at this DECLARATION from the LORD through his willing prophetic voice:

    1. Even the called need corrected when wrong.
    2. The people were foolish in the eyes of the LORD.
    3. They lacked understanding, because they did not use the resources GOD gave ears and eyes to hear and see what they were doing.
    4. The people lacked fear of the LORD, even though the LORD had proven himself to be creator.
    5. Rebellion showed up in their lives, the result of resistance, stubbornness and unfaithfulness.
    6. When they saw the goodness of GOD they chose not to repent.
    7. They took the BLESSINGS of GOD for granted.

I pray today that we are HUNGRY for The Kingdom of GOD and always promote UNITY and Thanksgiving to JESUS and each other.

  32. “O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭KJV

We are the church that cries out to a people that is in desperate need of GOD. But how much longer do we have? That answer no one knows, only JESUS.
Our job is to continue working in His Kingdom and not our own. To proclaim the good news and compel them to come in, that His house May be filled. As Jesus said in the gospel…’REPENT, for the KING KINGDOM of GOD Is at hand.

  33. Jeremiah 5:22-25
    22) Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
    23) But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone.
    24) Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
    25) Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

It is our iniquities and sins that have turned away and withholden the good things – blessings – of God in our life.
Not Fearing the LORD, and having a Revolting (disgusting, repulsive, appalling, terrible, offensive, despicable, contemptible, etc…) and a Rebellious Heart.
We must get rid of our iniquities and sins. We must get rid of our revolting and rebellious hearts. We must REPENT!! We need to say “Let Us NOW Fear The LORD.” Let us NOW Fear (with awe and reverence) the LORD. Let Us Tremble At HIS Presence. HE’s a MIGHTY and POWERFUL GOD!!
If we will REPENT of our sins, FEAR the LORD, and live Faithfully for Him, then He will bestow His Blessings upon us.

  34. 1 Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.
2 And though they say, The Lord liveth; surely they swear falsely.

Thank you Jesus for truth and judgment in your word. May we hide it in your hearts that we may know what is Righteous and acceptable.

  35. 5 I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.

Thank You Jesus! You are merciful! Hallelujah!!!

  36. 7 How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots’ houses.

No good deed goes unpunished. You can pour your energy, waste your time and invest your treasures into a man and they can forget your goodness in the blink of an eye. Once they no longer feel they need you they’ll leave you without a second thought. Loyalty isn’t a priority and a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. He can look into a mirror and see his face and return later and not recognize himself. It can happen in a blink of an eye to were man can loose sight on what really matters. They can leave behind their first love like yesterday’s garbage. They become so easily distracted by the things of this world and their own selfish desires that they forget the one who was so good to them. God was that source for them. He looked after His people, took care of them, provided for them, protected them and was always their for them when they needed Him. This is how they repay him. They turn away with spoiled rotten and hardened hearts only to love themselves. Where will they run when the wrath of God befalls them? Some call it karma but it’s really God straightening out the crooked paths. By the time they realize how wrong they were it will be too late. The foolish will fall for their pride and the repentant will become the remnant that remains. God will resume provision to His people when they return to Him. Recognizing the error of ones way and sinfulness is the first opportunity. Choosing to change or turn a deaf ear comes with a price. Submission and separation unto God or division and destruction. God gives us the freedom of free will. Man decides his fate, they can bow now or bow later but all will confess that He is Lord.

  37. ““And when your people ask, ‘Why did the Lord our God do all this to us?’ you must reply, ‘You rejected him and gave yourselves to foreign gods in your own land. Now you will serve foreigners in a land that is not your own.’”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:19‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When you turn your back on the Lord, don’t expect him to keep blessing you and guiding you. God has done so much for us, and yet in return we betray him and give ourselves to false gods? God is the only one who can save us from our enemies the only one who can replace our anxiety with peace. I pray tonight that we start living for God fully, start removing things from your life that will keep you from growing in God. It is time for us to start noticing all God does for us, and time for us to start living for him fully!

  38. 25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

Sin will cause trouble to come your way. We miss out on the things that are good because of sin. It keeps us from exceling in God. It will weigh you down and make you feel unwanted. Sin is a destroyer of lives. Many people have fallen because of sin. God wants us to live holy, but in order to do that we must get rid of all sin in our life. Don’t let other get you tangled up in the affairs’ of sin, but lets get tangled up in God.

  39. 22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?

God made boundaries that keep us in our place. He created us to worship Him and honor Him through obedience. Even the birds and seas honor Him through obedience.

Man must turn from their backsliding and follow after Him in all their ways.

  40. 21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

We must always be watching out for what we do and or say. I think this verse is trying to tell us to do what is right. We can’t have the eyes but not the sight, or the ears but not the hearing. We must require the full set of everything. I pray tonight that you are going the good and opposing the wrong!!!

  41. They have turned away and abandoned me. They do not say from the heart, ‘Let us live in awe of the Lord our God, for he gives us rain each spring and fall, assuring us of a harvest when the time is right.’ Your wickedness

  42. Jeremiah 5

3 LORD, do not your eyes look for truth? You struck them, but they felt no pain: you crushed them, but they refused correction. They made their faces harder than stone and refused to repent.

The Hebrew term translated correction means chastisement or discipline or sometimes instruction. In the Prophets, it generally refers to God’s attempts to teach His children faithfulness by means of discipline or punishment. Israel refused correction and continued down the path of self destruction.
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  43. 30 A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;

31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

It’s punishment coming from God on those who ignore him. I’m trusting God will not destroy the relationship that once was there.

  44. “the prophets give false prophecies, and the priests rule with an iron hand. Worse yet, my people like it that way! But what will you do when the end comes?”
    Jeremiah 5:31 NLT

The judgement of the Lord is coming and what our actions and values reveals is where our judgment and eternity lies. Stand firm to the word of God! It is the truth. Keep God’s commands and you will prosper, do not exalt yourself above God. Or delight in the things of this world, doing so you are walking to your own destruction. The Lord our God is one, the only way to salvation no other way but His.

  45. “But these people have stubborn and rebellious hearts; they have turned aside and gone away.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:23‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When you get so far away from god you won’t even realize that the sin you are doing is sin. You become so blind sided by everything. You don’t ever want to get to a point in your relationship with him where you are so far off that what you are doing doesn’t even bring up any conviction. This is why a relationship with him is important because when you have that relationship you can feel when your not in line with him and can realign yourself.

  46. “Your wickedness has deprived you of these wonderful blessings. Your sin has robbed you of all these good things.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:25‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Throughout the Bible we read of the choices and many lost blessings many “could of have” but didn’t. All due to wickedness and sin taking over. What a crime this is! We as children of God have the right to obtain the wonderful blessings and good things. By following and obeying God’s commandments. Do not let the enemy deceive you and steal what God has established for you and your generations! Blessings and good things!

  47. Worse, they have no conscience. Right and wrong mean nothing to them. They stand for nothing, stand up for no one, throw orphans to the wolves, exploit the poor.
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:28 MSG‬‬

Me, Myself, and I – That’s a dangerous place to be. Always looking out for ourselves and not caring about how our actions affect others. In this state, we have no love. In this state, we don’t know how to love others. In this state, we can’t even say we love our own selves. Our fickle minds twist the concept of love because we have no conscience, no morals. And in my experience, this level of damage can only be repaired and restored by Jesus. No amount of therapy, no amount of counseling can teach us how to love. Knowing how to love can only come from Love.

“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
    ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  48. “So I will go and speak to their leaders. Surely they know the ways of the Lord and understand God’s laws.” But the leaders, too, as one man, had thrown off God’s yoke and broken his chains. So now a lion from the forest will attack them; a wolf from the desert will pounce on them. A leopard will lurk near their towns, tearing apart any who dare to venture out. For their rebellion is great, and their sins are many.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:5-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Woooooo This goes to show just how much the enemy is ready to pounce when given the opportunity to catch you with your guard down!

  49. The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

We are in a time where the people of God only want to hear what makes them feel good! The prophets prophesy lies while the preachers preach false truth. As the Apostolic church we must rise up against the norm a d preach the truth not what we want to hear but what we need to hear

  51. “But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭5:23-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In this passage the people had a rebellious “HEART”. According to Strong’s “Heart” means – inner man, mind, will, heart, understanding.
So the people’s mind/will was in rebellion against God’s agreement. As a result of fulfilling their OWN WILL and going against GOD’S WILL they had a spiritual loss. If Jesus isn’t Lord of ALL then He isn’t Lord at all. Thy KinGdOm come. Thy WILL be done in EARTH, as it is in heaven.

“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Keys to the KinGdOm!
We have the keys to win the battle of the mind. It is a sound mind!

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
    ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

    Sound mind means – discipline, i.e. self-control
God has given has the keys of power, love and Self-Control! You have this key right now. Use it!!
