Jeremiah 27

In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,

Thus saith the Lord to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,

And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;

And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;

I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.

And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the Lord, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:

10 For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

11 But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the Lord; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

12 I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

13 Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the Lord hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?

14 Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

15 For I have not sent them, saith the Lord, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.

16 Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the Lord’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

17 Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?

18 But if they be prophets, and if the word of the Lord be with them, let them now make intercession to the Lord of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.

19 For thus saith the Lord of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city.

20 Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;

21 Yea, thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;

22 They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the Lord; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.

  1. 21 Yea, thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;

22 They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the Lord; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.

Sometimes God has to take us down a different path to get us to see what he wants to do and then restore us so we can see the joy of his salvation again. We might need to go through a little darkness sometimes so the light can become brighter in us through him. Thank you Jesus let the light become brighter in us all.

  2. 22 They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the Lord; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.

A conqueror customarily took the idols of a conquered people back to the temple of his own god. Since Judaism was an imageless religion, the vessels of the Temple were taken instead, even human vessels would be the Restore at that time.

  3. Jeremiah 27:8 KJV

If we are not submitted it will lead us to destruction. Even if we don’t think its the right person. God works in mysterious ways.

  4. Verses 9-10 NLT “‘Do not listen to your false prophets, fortune-tellers, interpreters of dreams, mediums, and sorcerers who say, “The king of Babylon will not conquer you.” They are all liars, and their lies will lead to your being driven out of your land. I will drive you out and send you far away to die.” It is so important to discern what is leading you astray and not to be blinded by the lies you are being fed. In the VOICE version it says in verse 17 “Do not listen to them. Serve the king of Babylon, and you will survive. Why would you sacrifice this city because you won’t listen? Why should it become a ruin to the destructive forces of your pride?

In our Proverb for today it says in verses 5-9 MSG “A true witness never lies; a false witness makes a business of it. Cynics look high and low for wisdom—and never find it; the open-minded find it right on their doorstep! Escape quickly from the company of fools; they’re a waste of your time, a waste of your words. The wisdom of the wise keeps life on track; the foolishness of fools lands them in the ditch. The stupid ridicule right and wrong, but a moral life is a favored life.” Verses 11-13 MSG “Lives of careless wrongdoing are run-down shacks; holy living builds soaring cathedrals. There’s a way of life that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell. Sure, those people appear to be having a good time, but all that laughter will end in heartbreak.” Verses 15-19 MSG “The gullible believe anything they’re told; the prudent sift and weigh every word. The wise watch their steps and avoid evil; fools are headstrong and reckless. The hotheaded do things they’ll later regret; the coldhearted get the cold shoulder. Foolish dreamers live in a world of illusion; wise realists plant their feet on the ground. Eventually, evil will pay tribute to good; the wicked will respect God-loyal people.” Verses 24-30 MSG “The wise accumulate wisdom; fools get stupider by the day. Souls are saved by truthful witness and betrayed by the spread of lies. The Fear-of-God builds up confidence, and makes a world safe for your children. The Fear-of-God is a spring of living water so you won’t go off drinking from poisoned wells. The mark of a good leader is loyal followers; leadership is nothing without a following. Slowness to anger makes for deep understanding; a quick-tempered person stockpiles stupidity. A sound mind makes for a robust body, but runaway emotions corrode the bones.”

  5. 10. For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

    14. Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

    16. Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the Lord ; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the Lord’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

Be careful who you let speak into your life. Not everyone loves you like your Pastor does. Someone that doesn’t have your best interest at heart may be prophelying to you instead of prophesying!

    1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

  6. Jeremiah 27: 11-12-13 ( amp) But any nation that brings it’s neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serves him, I will let remain on its own land, says the Lord, to cultivate it and dwell in it.
    12) I spoke also to Zedekiah kind of Judah in the same way, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
    13) Why will you and your people die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the Lord has spoken concerning any nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
This chapter is about submitting! Are you willing to serve one God that saves you, and gives you life.
Or you willing to serve false prophets are just die?

  7. 14 Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.

This is one of the reading why we should be in communication with GOD, EVERYDAY!!! So that no one can come and lie to us saying this saith the Lord….. we should have discernment…….. if we do not then we should ask GOD for discernment …..

    Jeremiah 27:9‭-‬10 NLT

There’s always going to be people pretending to be holy or pretending to be something that they are not. There’s always going to be those out there acting like they are called of God acting like they are doing things in the spirit when they are not. The Bible tells us very clearly shall know them by their fruits and it also tells us that if a prophesy comes across and it’s true then we know that the prophet is real. Many people are going to claim to have the power of God or have some other type of power but they are all just cheap imitations of the true God.

  11. 5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

The Lord is what gives everyone their next breath. The lost may believe that their success is becasue of their own might. We must remember that every ability that the lost or saved have is because the Lord has had mercy upon them.

  12. 15 for I have not sent them saith the Lord
Yet the prophecy a lie in my name that I might drive you out
And that ye might perish ye and the prophets the prophecy to you.

  13. Jeremiah 27
    Jeremiah 27:6 (KJV) 6
And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

How could Nebuchadnezzar be a servant of the LORD if he was a ‘pagan’ who served the Babylonian god Marduk? My exact question is this.
Yet Nebuchadnezzar did what God commanded him to do. God used him to accomplish His will . We may not understand this fully but as we take a look at men and women in authority over our nation they may not serve the God we do and they may not even appear to be Christ like yet God uses those willing to be used for His purpose. God has all authority. The yoke Jeremiah put on I believe again was to show submission unto God . Again if we truly believe God is in control why is submission so difficult. God had a plan a d Ge used King Nebuchadnezzar to fulfill it. If we look through other passages we find this King asking Daniel after being throw. In a Lion!s den had Daniel’s God delivered him. We cannot question whi God will use for the endtime revival coming . There will be a great harvest and also a great destruction coming . Was the yoke to be heavy ? Submission is not heavy when you serve with a willing heart .
A vessel that can be used of God is what God is looking for . Who am I to question whom Ge uses ?

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:29-30

  14. Proverbs 14
15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

  15. 12-13 NLT “Then I repeated this same message to King Zedekiah of Judah. “If you want to live, submit to the yoke of the king of Babylon and his people. Why do you insist on dying—you and your people? Why should you choose war, famine, and disease, which the Lord will bring against every nation that refuses to submit to Babylon’s king?”

By submitting to the king of Babylon they were also submitting to the will of God. It was very plain and simple. Submit and live or rebel and die.

  16. ‘They will all be carried away to Babylon and will stay there until I send for them,’ says the Lord. ‘Then I will bring them back to Jerusalem again.’”
    Jeremiah 27:22 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/jer.27.22.NLT

God always makes a way out. His word says that He will never give us anything more than we can bear and through Him we can know freedom, we can know liberty, we can know peace.

  17. With my great strength and powerful arm I made the earth and all its people and every animal. I can give these things of mine to anyone I choose. Now I will give your countries to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, who is my servant. I have put everything, even the wild animals, under his control. All the nations will serve him, his son, and his grandson until his time is up. Then many nations and great kings will conquer and rule over Babylon. So you must submit to Babylon’s king and serve him; put your neck under Babylon’s yoke! I will punish any nation that refuses to be his slave, says the Lord. I will send war, famine, and disease upon that nation until Babylon has conquered it.
    Jeremiah 27:5‭-‬8 NLT

What God asks of us doesn’t always make sense to us. The truth is though, whether we understand it or not, we still must submit and obey. It may be uncomfortable, it may be absurd, it may even take you on a long undesired detour – BUT GOD, has a greater plan in store! The safest and best, most blessed place to be is in the Will of God.

  18. “I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭27:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Here one must have a spirit of discernment. Why serve the king of Babylon? Wait what’s going on? What’s with all the chaos?
First of all if one is to just submit and obey, your obedience will stand the test of time. But how?! As frustrations begins to settle in the mind of the individual. Let us not forget who GOD IS in your life. He’s the creator of the heavens and the earth, man , and beast. So it will be the right arm of GOD that moves everything and everyone in place so that His name will be glorified!
There will be times in our lives we to shall face the challenges of life as they come. So as soon as we face them we want to throw in the towel and say I give. Or ask the question alone I. ‘ how long will I be here for?’
It could be that through your valley that the LORD desires for one to learn and stop complaining. To TRUST and not doubt. To have faith over fear. Remember that fear will rob you of your faith in GOD. THE LORD JESUS will give you beauty for ashes if you allow him to. A lot of times we don’t understand because we see things through the carnal eye and not with a spiritual eye.
So let us trust GOD through the process. You’ll always see him faithful.
“My son, forget not my law; But let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, And peace, shall they add to thee. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:1-2, 5-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  19. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2

2 Thus saith the Lord to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck…

Wow, if folks could only see the yokes in the spirit realm that were on their necks it might cause folks to repent. The enemy has folks in chains but since they cannot see these chains they think they are free. The prophet put physical chains on to show what was there in the spirit.

  20. 9 Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
10 For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

Listening to the false prophets made the rulers believe that there would not be a judgement of God upon them. “12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12
We must hear and read the word of God daily to stay on the right path.

  21. Jeremiah 27:14-15
[14]Do not listen to the false prophets who keep telling you, ‘The king of Babylon will not conquer you.’ They are liars.
[15]This is what the lord says: ‘I have not sent these prophets! They are telling you lies in my name, so I will drive you from this land. You will all die—you and all these prophets, too.’”

    Matthew 7:15
“Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves.

    Matthew 24:3-5,11,13-14,23-24,26

[3]Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?”
[4]Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you,
[5]for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many.
[11]And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people.
[13]But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
[14]And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.
[23]“Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it.
[24]For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones.
[26]“So if someone tells you, ‘Look, the Messiah is out in the desert,’ don’t bother to go and look. Or, ‘Look, he is hiding here,’ don’t believe it!

  22. 8 And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the Lord, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.

Judah and the surrounding nations were in a difficult situation. God is saying through the prophet Jeremiah that the best choice is to submit to the king of Babylon. Jeremiah tells the people not to listen to the false prophets, who were telling lies. We should not listen to false prophets. We can spot false prophets because they will contradict the written word of God. God does not change and his word does not change. “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

  23. “Yes, this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says about the precious things still in the Temple, in the palace of Judah’s king, and in Jerusalem: ‘They will all be carried away to Babylon and will stay there until I send for them,’ says the Lord. ‘Then I will bring them back to Jerusalem again.’””
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭27:21-22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God keeps his promises. You can count on it. If man contradicts God’s promises of either threats or blessings, don’t listen to them.

  24. ““‘So don’t for a minute listen to all your prophets and spiritualists and fortunetellers, who claim to know the future and who tell you not to give in to the king of Babylon. They’re handing you a line of lies, barefaced lies, that will end up putting you in exile far from home. I myself will drive you out of your lands, and that’ll be the end of you. But the nation that accepts the yoke of the king of Babylon and does what he says, I’ll let that nation stay right where it is, minding its own business.’””
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭27:9-11‬ ‭MSG‬‬

The world will sell you and tell you lies about the Lord and church but that is all the devil, the harvest is there and ready for the gathering!

  25. Jeremiah 27:2 & 12-13
    2) Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck.

    12) I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, and his people, and live.
    13) Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?

    “Life or Death”
Bonds and yokes are a symbol of submission. If the people submitted themselves under the king of Babylon and serve him, they would Live, BUT if they did not submit and serve him, they would Die.

JESUS wants people to Submit to Him and Serve Him. If they do Submit and Serve Him, they will Live, BUT if they don’t Submit and Serve Him, they will Die.

We all have a choice to make.

  26. 21 Yea, thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;

22 They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the Lord; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.

Jesus wants us to remain strong no matter what circumstance we are facing.. only He knows what is ahead of us and He will bring us up and restore us.
    Hallelujah!!!!
    Thank You Jesus!

  27. 5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

6 And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

God knows what he is doing and what is to come. We just have to keep walking in light and in truth to be faithful servants of God.

  28. 11 But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the Lord; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

12 I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

Yoke – a wooden crosspiece that is fastened over the necks of two animals and attached to the plow or cart that they are to pull.

    Matthew 11:28-30
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

The Lord is asking each of us to “yoke” up with Him. Learn His ways. Bare His burden for the lost. Become like Him. Take up our cross and follow after Him, doing His will daily.

No one ever said living for the Lord is an easy, yet He provides the strength to endure every hardship that might come our way through the power of the Holy Ghost and the joy of the Lord that is our strength. It’s only hard living for God if you are living for Him half heartedly.

Its time to give Him our all and our best.

  29. “‘They shall be carried to Babylon, and there they shall be until the day that I visit them,’ says the Lord. ‘Then I will bring them up and restore them”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭27:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I Love the Word. It’s one of the absolutes in our lives. We can trust and stand on His Word because know its Truth! He will not lie!!

    OUR GOD OUR FATHER

    4 And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;
5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

This passage generated a deep FAITH in my mind, heart and spirit. In the back of my mind I live with the FAITH that I am the LORDS and that I am submitted to HIS will and walking in HIS will daily. But reading this verse today, I have a better, greater and deeper understanding of HIS Kingdom.

There are some painful moves in The Kingdom of GOD, I have been involved in some and witness to some. Both of which were very painful to me as a man. When we love deep, we also hurt deep.

The LORD reminds us today that HE is in control of everything and that HE moves and places people where HE desires. Sometimes HE moves people or things to teach us and sometimes to teach others, to punish us or to punish others. The KEY phrase here is:

“given to whom it seemed meet unto me”

Seeing that GOD is in control of everything, we learn to TRUST HIM in all moves.

We choose to continue to LIVE JESUS so that we are positioned to GIVE JESUS and RUN TO THE HARVEST.

When Jesus is getting onto you, it is better to accept your punishment than it is to run from it.

Jonah tried to run from God and got swallowed up.

Many years I ran too, not so much from punishment, but just from Jesus. That price was much more than I ever imagined, and was even more than I could take. Only by His mercy, was I introduced to this wonderful truth.

  33. 9“‘Do not listen to your false prophets, fortune-tellers, interpreters of dreams, mediums, and sorcerers who say, “The king of Babylon will not conquer you.”

Yet so many rely on these fortune teller, and read horoscopes for their future, and some even pay big bucks for it. We only need to rely on the Word, it tells us we will be blessed in all areas. Don’t rely on man, but rely on God and put your future and trust in him.

  34. the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,Thus saith the Lord to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck, And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah; And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

  35. 5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

God has the power to do what he wants. As the children of God, we should not try to question what God has done or is doing. He knows exactly what he is doing. The more we begin to question if what God says is true, the easier it is for the enemy to twist our thoughts. If we are to excel in God, we must be willing to do what he has already put into place.

  36. “Do not listen to the false prophets who keep telling you, ‘The king of Babylon will not conquer you.’ They are liars. This is what the Lord says: ‘I have not sent these prophets! They are telling you lies in my name, so I will drive you from this land. You will all die—you and all these prophets, too.’””
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭27:14-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

You must be careful with what you allow to come into your heart and ears. You can’t listen to every one who calls themselves a preacher or teacher. Not everyone who says they are really are. It is important to guard your heart and mind to ensure that those things that are being spoken to you are the truth because the enemy will come because he wants to just kill steal and destroy.

  37. There’s always going to be those out there acting like they are called of God acting like they are doing things in the spirit when they are not. The Bible tells us very clearly shall know them by their fruits and it also tells us that if a prophesy comes across and it’s true then we know that the prophet is real.

  38. “With my great strength and powerful arm I made the earth and all its people and every animal. I can give these things of mine to anyone I choose.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭27:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We cannot take for granted what the Lord has blessed us each with, we cannot go along receiving blessings and not give thanks to God for it, because in just once second God can take it all away. I pray tonight that we take time in our day no matter how busy it is that we give time to God and make sure your thanking him for all he has done all he has gave you and all he has forgiven you from. For he is our one true God, we are living with joy because of him there is no one greater that deserves praise.

  39. 5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

God created all things and had delegated power and authority to His people. It is up to us to expand His kingdom here on earth. Our obedience and submission to Him activates that power. Let us be willing to follow His will and not our own.

  40. 10 For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

Be mindful of those around whose goal is to pull you in the opposite direction of the word of God.

  41. 5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.

This earth was designated to us, as His people. Every moment and time we live for is going to lead up to that day of judgment. His return is very anonymous, and could happen at any time. Once this day comes we must be ready. There will be no time to catch up, you MUST be ready. Think about this…How is your relationship with God? We should have a sold firm relationship with Him. I hope that everything you do, you realize it will have an outcome. I pray tonight that you are always thinking before you are doing…Some things might feel or be good in the moment, but how will it be later on?

  42. 7 And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.

As for me and my house we will serve the Lord! And as for all nations we will serve the Lord, we don’t need to stop until the whole world knows to serve the Lord.

  43. 17 Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?

The Lord will leave a remnant behind to care for his land while some are killed and others carried away. God lays out the choices the people have to make but they are not accustomed to listening to him. They are used to turning to enchanters, sorcerers and false prophets for answers. The Lord warns them that if they don’t listen to him alone and decide to consult those diviner’s then they are as good as gone. If they would listen to God then they wouldn’t be putting their very city at risk. It’s a matter of submission. Will they submit to the word of the Lord or turn to the lying word of the false prophet? If they submit themselves to Nebuchadnezzar then they will be carried off and live. If they resist they their will be destruction and death. Either way their will be a remnant. God leaves us with the choice of where we want to be and who we will serve.

  44. Jeremiah 27:5 I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it to who it seemed proper to Me.

Psalm 146:5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God.

  45. 11 But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the Lord; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

It may seem like it’s looking bad, but God has a plan. In obedience not only do you obtain life but blessing as well. Some situations we will not understand yet the best thing is to follow the command of God.

  46. For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.

Be careful on who you allow to be a voice in your life.because they could be speaking lies to you that will take you on the wrong path.
We must always keep two voices in our hearts to lead us. That is the voice of God and and Voice of the man of God

  47. “They are all liars, and their lies will lead to your being driven out of your land. I will drive you out and send you far away to die.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭27:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God is warning His people not to give up, or turn away, but stand firm to His word that is a strong tower. In these last, the enemy is using everything or anyone to put fear, and doubt in your mind that It’s not God will don’t believe the lies of the world, for it leads to death and destruction. Trust in the Lord and He will lead and guide your step to eternity with Him.

  48. “With my great strength and powerful arm I made the earth and all its people and every animal. I can give these things of mine to anyone I choose.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭27:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God has proven time and time again what he is capable of, so why do we continue to question him and the way he does things?? He’s more than capable of anything and does not need our help, our approval, nor our opinion.

  49. “With my great strength and powerful arm I made the earth and all its people and every animal. I can give these things of mine to anyone I choose.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭27:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

He paid the debt we owed out of unconditional love. We serve a mighty God who holds all power and command the winds and the waves. He holds our future and despite our shortcomings, He still loves us. He still fights for us. He still chooses to be our Everything if we allow Him to be. He still longs for us.

  50. 11 But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the Lord; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

Ole Jerry probably looked crazy showing up with a yoke around his neck i believe the message he was trying to get was this is only for a season so submit yourselves like an ox would with a yoke around his neck. It goes much deeper than this though the yoke could be symbolic for a lot but to cut to the chase i think its safe to say agree with thine adversary quickly its easier to do that then rebel and fight.

  51. 22 They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the Lord; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.

    God’s timing not our own!

  52. 14 Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
15 For I have not sent them, saith the Lord, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.

“. . . Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you. . .” You cannot serve someone who is not the God Almighty. Prophesy from anyone or anything else is a lie, and sham, and a ruse. Do not be fooled or swayed. Stay steadfast on God. The one true God.
