Jeremiah 28

And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the Lord, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the Lord’s house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:

And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith the Lord: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the Lord,

Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the Lord do so: the Lord perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the Lord’s house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.

Nevertheless hear thou now this word that I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people;

The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.

The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the Lord hath truly sent him.

10 Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and brake it.

11 And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.

12 Then the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah the prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

13 Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.

14 For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.

15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The Lord hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.

16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.

17 So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

  1. 10 Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and brake it.

The servant of the Lord shall not strive. The same man, Jeremiah, who had been like a brazen wall, who had resisted kings and prophets and priests to the face, who refuses to contend with the prophet Hananiah. The reason for his conduct is plain. Jeremiah did remonstrate and warn while there was hope of repentance or when long-suffering grace called for it. But where there was no conscience at work, there was a false pretense of the name of the Lord, he simply goes his way. He leaves God to judge between prophet and prophet. If Jeremiah was true, Hananiah was false.

We can be assured that when we are faithful servants of the Lord, the Lord will protect us.

  3. In reading this chapter, I am reminded of what the Hills’ blogged yesterday warning against whom you let speak into your life because they may be “prophelying to you instead of prophesying”. As our Proverb said yesterday in verses 15-16 MSG “The gullible believe anything they’re told; the prudent sift and weigh every word. The wise watch their steps and avoid evil; fools are headstrong and reckless.” Our Proverb for today says in verses 31-33 “Listen to good advice if you want to live well, an honored guest among wise men and women. An undisciplined, self-willed life is puny; an obedient, God-willed life is spacious. Fear-of-God is a school in skilled living—first you learn humility, then you experience glory.” Come let us experience the glory together. LIVE-GIVE JESUS²

  4. 13 Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.

Oh what a lesson to learn!!! I know way too well. I learn the hard way never to begin with God told me to tell you – let me explain God give all of us a talent and God allow us to see somethings sometimes so we can pray more specifically for the need of our brothers and sisters not so we can go tell them or worse tell others. Before you even think about it I HAVE NEVER TOLD ANYONE BUT THE PERSON INVOLVED!!! Anyway it hurts that person and it made that person uncomfortable that God had showed me that. Thank God she was wise, thank God my Pastor corrected me, and thank God I am a fast learner. I no longer make the mistakes of my youth. I wait upon the Lord and I ask the Lord is it to keep or do you want me to speak with them, etc. Discerning is extremely important. I said a lot just to say that sometimes it can be done without intentions while at other times you have false prophets out there speaking lies that all it does is confuse people that is why reading the Bible DAILY educate us to know when GOD IS ABOUT TO GIVE IT ALL BACK OR ABOUT TO TEACH OUR BACKS A LESSON!! To Hananiah it cost him his life. If God was the God of the Old Testament I wonder how many of this so calls Prophets out on TV will drop dead after lying to their sheep.

  5. Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, but the people believe your lies. Therefore, this is what the Lord says: ‘You must die. Your life will end this very year because you have rebelled against the Lord.’”
    Jeremiah 28:15‭-‬16 NLT

People must be careful when saying that they speak for the Lord. Why prosperity Gospel preaching is more than just dangerous because it does not deliver the cold hard truth. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to prosper and believing things can work for the good, but the preacher must be able to deliver the hard truth in love as well. That’s why it’s one of the most dangerous jobs in the world to be a prophet/preacher, having to hear from God correctly and deliver it to the people. Be careful whenever you say you have a word from the Lord, make sure it is.

  6. 11. And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.

    15. Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The Lord hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.

    16. Therefore thus saith the Lord ; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.

Notice that when Jeremiah heard Hananiah tell the people a lie, he didn’t hang around and chat or go out to eat with him – he went away from him.

It is so important that we don’t change what God has said that He uses some of the very last words of the Bible to remind us again:

    Revelation 22:
    18. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

    19. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

  7. So a prophet who predicts peace must show he is right. Only when his predictions come true can we know that he is really from the Lord.”
    Jeremiah 28:9 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/jer.28.9.NLT

It is so important to make sure that if we have a word for someone or hear from God that we have a point of accountability. To say something “in the Name of the Lord” or “this saith the Lord” can be dangerous. Check yourself before you wreck yourself!

  8. Jeremiah 28: 9 ( amp) But as for the prophet who [ on the contrary ] prophesies of peace when that prophet’s word comes to pass, then [ only] will it be known that the Lord has truly sent him.
Rom. 3: 4 ( amp) By no means ! Let God be found true through every human being be false and a liar,as it is written, to be upright in what you said, and prevail when You are judged [ by sinful men.
God is faithful and true, Test your spirit, If it don’t match the word of the Bible it not true.

  9. 2 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

3 Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the Lord’s house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:

4 And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith the Lord: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

5 Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the Lord,

6 Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the Lord do so: the Lord perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the Lord’s house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.

    Thank You Jesus!!

  10. “So a prophet who predicts peace must show he is right. Only when his predictions come true can we know that he is really from the Lord.””
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭28:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

A reigning theme in this is God will not be mocked. Yes, He’s forgiving and shows mercy but sometimes we forget He is also a jealous God. Like Sonya said last night He is a never changing, ever changing God. His Word is the rock of all ages yet He moves in ways we cannot comprehend.

  11. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS 2. Sis Helm said check yourself before you wreck yourself, I love that and it is so so true. We need yo spend so much time with God that we have little time to go astray. I know it sounds far-fetched but think of what a shining example you would be!!

  12. Jeremiah 28:1-2, 10-11, & 15-16
    1) … that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,
    2) Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

    10) Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and brake it.
    11) And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.

    15) Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah: The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.
    16) Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD.

Yes, there are many false prophets/teachers out there today who cause people to believe a lie (give them false hope) and teach rebellion against the LORD. So be careful who you listen to.
    BUT
My true thought is… We are Blessed at POFW to have a Pastor who doesn’t just let anyone come in and stand and speak from behind the Pulpit, but he is very careful about who he allows behind the Pulpit.
Thank You Pastor for taking caring care of the flock that GOD has made you an overseer thereof. T

  13. 15 then said the prophet Jeremiah unto the prophet
Hananiah : hear now Hananiah the Lord has not sent thee
But thou maketh this people to trust in a lie.

    FALSE PROPHETS

8 The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.
9 The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the Lord hath truly sent him.

There are few indicators of the authenticity of a prophetic word. We need to understand the difference. Most of what we hear today is the WORD of FAITH. A WORD spoken by inspiration, in believing that a thing will come to pass.

However a true prophetic WORD from the LORD is not as common. There are still many prophe-lies unreported of in regard to the recent US Presidential Election. These are FALSE PROPHETS. They said that GOD said and it is impossible to GOD to lie. So who lied?

DO NOT say GOD said when you feel like or believe for. something. It is a Kingdom principal to believe for something. But that does not make it a prophesy.

    Consider the MSG version verses

7-9 Listen to what I tell both you and all the people here today: The old prophets, the ones before our time, preached judgment against many countries and kingdoms, warning of war and disaster and plague. So any prophet who preaches that everything is just fine and there’s nothing to worry about stands out like a sore thumb. We’ll wait and see. If it happens, it happens—and then we’ll know that God sent him.”

    1. When the prophesy was different from all others, was a major indicator of authenticity.
    2. The only way to truly know a prophesy is from the LORD is when it comes to pass as spoken.

It the words do not come to pass, it does not matter how popular the voice is or how many times they prophesied in the past, they become a FALSE PROPHET when they GOD said and GOD didn’t say.

    The result for FALSE PROPHETS:

15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The Lord hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.
17 So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

    • Amen. There r so many today that tickle the ears and not preach the word. Thank God for our pastor who does preach the Word of God.

  16. Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, but the people believe your lies. Therefore, this is what the Lord says: ‘You must die. Your life will end this very year because you have rebelled against the Lord.’” Two months later the prophet Hananiah died.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭28:15-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Don’t give up on trusting the words of the Lord over the words of people. Resist false teachings .But let me also urge us all to resists the false teaching of our own idolatrous flesh. Our flesh lies to us all the time.

  17. iLove the Kingdom of Jesus2

All I can say is wow. These prophets were prophesying in the name of the Lord. They were believers in the God of Israel. They were prophets. They were declaring the Word of the Lord. They were speaking peace towards Gods people. They were speaking revival. They were speaking that the backsliders were coming home. They were declaring it in the name of the Lord. The prophet prophesied the yoke would be broken. The prophet prophesied God would deliver the people from the pagan king of Babylon. The prophet came against the wicked kingdom… but the false prophet was wrong. He preached a good sermon, but it wasn’t true. How many preachers out there fall into the same trap? Jeremiah the prophet was right and Hananiah was wrong.

  18. “So a prophet who predicts peace must show he is right. Only when his predictions come true can we know that he is really from the Lord.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭28:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Guard your heart and guard your mind. We can do this through reading the Word and knowing truth. We can do this through living a life of prayer and discerning. We can do this through submission and accountability by seeking counsel when words are spoken over and to us.

In this day we have to be wise as we hear voices battling each other to be right. Above all the rest, God’s Word is always right and always true. God will never speak a vain or contradicting word against The Bible, His Word, which He has already established in truth. God we will stand on the truth of Your Word!

  19. 2 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

The people were being sent to Babylon because of disobedience, yet the Lord had told Jeremiah after a time, He would deliver His people, and bring them back and restore. Here we see the next step of that prophecy; the yoke placed on the king of Babylon being destroyed, and the captives being returned to their land.

Most of the time prophesies are more than a one step process. You may receive the prophecy today, but the time for it to be completed fulfilled may take weeks, months or even years.

Don’t grow weary in well doing. Keep focused and keep the faith. God is not a man that He should lie, but His words are forever settled in Heaven. If we stay in His plan, it will come to pass.

  20. Prophet Jeremiah stood up to prophet Hananiah in front of the priests and all the people who were in God ’s Temple that day. Prophet Jeremiah said, “Wonderful! Would that it were true—that God would validate your preaching by bringing the Temple furnishings and all the exiles back from Babylon. But listen to me, listen closely. Listen to what I tell both you and all the people here today: The old prophets, the ones before our time, preached judgment against many countries and kingdoms, warning of war and disaster and plague. So any prophet who preaches that everything is just fine and there’s nothing to worry about stands out like a sore thumb. We’ll wait and see. If it happens, it happens—and then we’ll know that God sent him.” (Jeremiah 28:5-9 MSG)

This passage of scripture reminds me of today’s false preachers that are speaking falsely about the Word that once stood for truth. The pioneer preachers were straight and unashamed to preach a firey passage about sin and hell. We don’t hear it enough now. False teachers and preachers are watering it down and even changing the doctrine and saying, “you don’t need the Holy Ghost, Jesus name baptism isn’t important and we can’t grow a church with all these do’s and don’t’s.” I’m thankful for a Pastor that obeys the Lord and hasn’t back down to the trend of this world. Some might call him “Old School” but that’s what I appreciate about my Pastor. Thank you Pastor Watts! I know it’s tough sometimes but we need it. Please be encouraged. And know that we got your six and we love you. This Region of Fort Worth needs it! POFW has what it takes to Impact our Future Together! SO WHAT DEVIL!!! GIVE ME MY MOUNTAIN!!

  21. Ministers must thus lay themselves under the weight and obligation of what they preach to others. The doom both of the deceived and the deceiver is here read. The people that were deceived should have their yoke of wood turned into a yoke of iron, 13 Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.
The fact that they failed to stay close to Jesus and were easily deceived cost them. My wife mentioned in her blog about staying close to God and guarding your heart by reading the Word of God and staying close to the truth.
Lets keep each other accountable guys in the name of Jesus. We’re a family, the body of Christ!

  22. 14 For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.
15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The Lord hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie

Pastor has instructed us many times that if you feel the Lord has given you a word for someone, to run it by him first! This saves the person who is receiving it from conflicting or false words to hope in. It’s better to speak true in the presence of the Lord than to speak at all.

  23. 15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The Lord hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.

16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.

17 So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

Today false prophets are making people believe in lies. Easy believism, unconditional eternal security, Holy Ghost without tongues, faith without works, no hell and no heaven are just a few lies being taught by false prophets. These and many more lies will doom people to everlasting punishment. The false prophets will stand before God and receive their eternal damnation.

  24. Jeremiah 28
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.

Anything contrary to the word of God is rebellion.
Asking the question “ Where is that in the Bible?”
See rebellion gets us no where . Rebellion leads to great consequences. We must guard our hearts snd our minds . I see little bits of the world at times trying to creep in and I ask where is that coming from .The teaching we receive is by Holy Ghost God fearing pastor and I also see the example set before us by our First Lady. So they are not teaching rebellion. Could it be a glimpse of someone else teaching contrary to the word of God and feasting upon it that causes a touch of rebellion to occur? This scripture says they were being taught rebellion is why they were going to be cast off the Earth . Just because everyone else is doing it makes no reason for us to follow.
Israel truly had gotten their self in a mess following leaders who rebelled against the God of Abraham Issac and Jacob . Thankfully there was still a prophet hearing the voice of God. We must guard against anything that opposes the Truth . Guard our hearts and .minds No not everyone is going the right direction some will be led right to destruction. God help us to refrain from anything that had any appearance of rebellion.
    God hates rebellion.
    I Samuel 15:23
    nternational Version
For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.”

  25. 15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The Lord hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.
17 So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

The fear of The Lord was not in his heart!!! My GOD IS FAITHFUL!!! HE CANNOT BE MOCKED!!!

  26. 15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The Lord hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.

When we are not set right and on God ‘s path then what God says to do becomes of no importance. When he tells you what you need to do but you go and do something different, you will be punished if you don’t turn from your evil ways.

  27. “Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD. So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭28:16-17‬ ‭KJV
The truth will and must prevail in our land! No room for false profits. Death will come to all who believed a false word. Beware of who you decide to listen to.

“for false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.13.22.KJV

  28. Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The Lord hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.

16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.

We must be careful who we trust. Just because we hear the words of a preacher doesn’t mean he is preaching the Word. So many preachers want to tickle our ears and preach only good things. They r like false prophets. So read and study the Word and test what u hear.

  29. Jeremiah 28:10-11
[10]Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke off Jeremiah’s neck and broke it in pieces.
[11]And Hananiah said again to the crowd that had gathered, “This is what the lord says: ‘Just as this yoke has been broken, within two years I will break the yoke of oppression from all the nations now subject to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon.’” With that, Jeremiah left the Temple area.

Yoke is a picture of the oppressions and burdens of the enemy like sickness, emotional problems, psychological problems, financial problems, unforgiveness, bitterness, marital problems, bad habits etc. So the key to breaking the yokes of the enemy is not by human exertions and will power. The key is in spiritual growth. This is one reason why you have to take your spiritual development very seriously. If you don’t grow, the enemy will continue to yoke you with his oppressions and burdens – you will still struggle with those challenges for years – yeah that’s the way it is. So, give attention to spiritual activities like study of God’s word, prayer and fasting, attending church regularly, reading anointed books and listening to anointed preaching, which helps you to grow spiritually. And when you have grown so fat, you don’t need to pray for the yoke to break; it will break by itself – it will just not fit your neck anymore. Hallelujah!

This really spoke to me. Thank you Jesus

  30. 13 Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.

Be very careful who you listen to. False prophets will say things like “thus says the Lord” but all they are, are sly serpents. God has is own timing, and we will not understand the reasoning.

  31. vs-17
Hananiahs confontation of Jeremiah took place in the fifth month. God did not wait the whole year to bring about Hananiahs death but did so in less than two months. there was no the people and priests of Judah who witnessed the confrotation that took place could avoid linking Jeremiahs prediction with Hananiahs demise, God shouts out His warnings.

  32. Jeremiah 28

13 Go and tell Hananiah, saying, saith the Lord; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.

The yokes of iron are much stronger than those of wood. More severe sickness, problems will happen. Watch out for the slippery slope of the enemy!

  33. 6He said, “Amen! May your prophecies come true! I hope the LORD does everything you say. I hope he does bring back from Babylon the treasures of this Temple and all the captives.

Many tell us the same thing, “I hope your God saves you or heals you”. They don’t know God, and don’t have the faith in God. It’s like they’re telling us good luck. The righteous don’t need luck, we have God on our side, who will bless us.

  34. “Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, but the people believe your lies.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭28:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Don’t be going around spreading false doctrine to people as well as be careful with what you allow to come into your ears. Not everything said is the truth. You can’t believe everything some preachers and teacher say. This is why it is important that you know the word for yourself and hide it in your heart.

  35. Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.

You should be really careful when you go and or try to deliver a “word from the Lord” to anyone. God doesn’t take it lightly when one speaks out what he has not. You are saying lies in the name of the Lord and he is not of lies. The devil is the father of lies. There is an order to everything. If you feel you have a word, go and tell it to the man of God in charge. They will know whether to release or not for one to go deliver a word.

  36. 16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.

God does not like rebellion. He is completely against it. This is why obedience is key to moving forward in God. He will keep us if we abide by his word.

  37. 9 The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the Lord hath truly sent him.

    Amen

  38. Make when you are serving the Lord that you don’t start to confuse His will for your will or His voice for yours. His will and voice will never contradict His previous words.

  39. 16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.

We should only speak “Thus switch the Lord” when the Lord is actually speaking. Telling anyone we have a word for them is not to me taken lightly but to be cleared by the man of God first. Hananiah was supposed to be a man of God but chose rather to show up Jeremiah with a lie. He had fed the people lies for years and misleading them now would be no different. False prophesy was all he knew because he never actually sought out Gods word. Imagine if he had, how different would the state of the people be? Leadership has influence that can build or tear down nations. Hananiah will be taken down for his lies and false prophesy. Breaking wood is not the same as breaking iron.

  40. Jeremiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion.

God hates rebellion, he is a jealous God.

    Deuteronomy 6:15 13:5

  41. 16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.

God doesn’t like it when we rebel, He wants us to follow His word and be the most Christ like we can.

  42. “Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah, “Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, but the people believe your lies.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭28:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Now days many people will speak against the Lord and his word, they will speak false of what they want others the Lord has done bad. But as the children of the Lord we need to come together as one and stand up for the Lord and his word, he has done so much good in our lives and he has rescued us in so many ways when we were falling. It is time we go out into crowds and tell them the truth and good news of the Lord! Show them there is salvation and freedom in his name forever and always!

  43. 2 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

God is more than able to handle any need that we may have. No problem is too big, or too small for God to fix. We must be aware of how we gave things, in order to do it in the correct manner. We can not let this world come in between us. We should know what is right, and do as so. I pray tonight that we are bringing fourth our problems and situations towards Him, for He is more than capable of handling anything!!!

  44. 16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.

Our words, actions, and lifestyle will teach others. We have to daily examine what we are teaching to them. If we are teaching unrighteousness and rebellion let us turn away in repentance and correct this. This path will not only lead us to destruction but lead others with us.

  45. Nevertheless hear thou now this word that I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people;

We must hear what the man of God preaches and teaches. We gain faith by going to church and hearing not listening to the word of God and applying it to our lives to be more like God.

  46. 15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The Lord hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.

Be very careful what you speak in His name. Be very careful what you say is “A word from the Lord,” there are many that will push their own agenda and say it is God. Or those that speak words of faith or prophesy by learning of someone’s gossip or hearsay. Doing so could result in the most undesirable results. . . Death. . . “. . . I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, . . .”

  47. ““Go and tell Hananiah, ‘This is what the Lord says: You have broken a wooden yoke, but you have replaced it with a yoke of iron.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭28:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It’s pretty human of us to take take one yoke off and replace it with another, honestly probably not even noticing it because we’re so used to being held down.

But don’t put yourself back into a yoke when nobody has put you there. Walk in the freedom that God gives you!
