Daniel 5

Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.

Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.

Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.

They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

In the same hour came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

Then the king’s countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.

Then came in all the king’s wise men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof.

Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were astonied.

10 Now the queen by reason of the words of the king and his lords came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:

11 There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;

12 Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.

13 Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?

14 I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.

15 And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:

16 And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.

17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.

18 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:

19 And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.

20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

21 And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;

23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

24 Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.

25 And this is the writing that was written, Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin.

26 This is the interpretation of the thing: Mene; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.

27 Tekel; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

28 Peres; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

29 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.

31 And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.

  1. Verses 22-23 AMP “And you, his [h]son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart (mind), even though you knew all this. And you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven, and the vessels of His house have been brought before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or understand. But the God who holds in His hand your breath of life and your ways you have not honored and glorified [but have dishonored and defied].” Beware of not humbling your heart (mind) and exalting yourself!! James 4:10 AMP says “Humble yourselves [with an attitude of repentance and insignificance] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up, He will give you purpose].” We must remember that it is not about us; but, all about Him and being GREATER!

  2. 17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.

18 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:

Again we see that having pride in one’s self and not giving God the glory can bring severe and immediate tragedy.

  4. Daniel 5: 13-14 ( amp) Them Daniel was brought in before the king said to Daniel ,Are you Daniel of the children of the captivity of Judah? Whom the king my father brought out of Judah?
    14) I heard of you, that the Spirit of the holy God [ or gods] is in you,and that light and understanding and superior wisdom are found in you.
Two guestions pop in my mind.
When the world talk about me, what do are they talking about!
What do they see in me!
Do they see the light in me! Are do they see integrity in me!
Thanks be to God,I have be Baptized in Jesus name, and I have the Holy Ghost .

  5. Even though Belshazzar knew what happened to Nebuchadnezzar when he became arrogant and full of pride he still did the same thing. By disregarding GOD and His holiness he condemned himself.

  8. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER! Wow another miracle, a unattached hand writes on a board?? Wow God in on a move!!

  9. Then at Belshazzar’s command, Daniel was dressed in purple robes, a gold chain was hung around his neck, and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.
    Daniel 5:29 NLT

I love and appreciate how God positions us into the right place, at the right time. In this instance, Daniel did not approach the king but rather was called in to interpret the writing on the wall, and was promised that if he interpreted it he would be rewarded. God placed Daniel in the perfect position to not only interpret the dream and prophesy but a place of authority to have influence over those that held his people captive. Even though it may seem like our position is very difficult sometimes God is just setting us up for something down the road

  10. GREATER
WISDOM = LEARNING FROM OTHERS FAILURES

    22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

The FINGER of GOD wrote on the wall of the earthly palace to confirm that HE is GOD and WORDS matter. (I SEE GREATER)

The rebuke from the LORD was for failure to acknowledge the GOD that judged his father. The act of idolatry, that Belshazzar initiated was considered by GOD a mockery of the Holy utensils of The Kingdom of GOD.

Belshazzar failed to learn from the failures of his fathers arrogance and idolary, it cost him not only his kingdom, but it also ended his life. May JESUS give us WISDOM to learn from the idolatry failures of others and choose to serve our LORD JESUS with humility and gladness.

  11. You are his successor, O Belshazzar, and you knew all this, yet you have not humbled yourself. For you have proudly defied the Lord of heaven and have had these cups from his Temple brought before you. You and your nobles and your wives and concubines have been drinking wine from them while praising gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone—gods that neither see nor hear nor know anything at all. But you have not honored the God who gives you the breath of life and controls your destiny!”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭5:22-23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It is easy to spend a lot of my time trying to get ahead in this life rather than doing things for the kingdom of God. What priority changes do we need to make to make the kingdom first in our life?

  12. Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.

3 Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.

4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

    God is not mocked

  13. “but hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy Lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭5:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Your self will will destroy you! Your kingdom, your friends, your riches cannot stand against the TRUE LIVING GOD!

You would think that Belshazzar would remember what happened to his own father, but, again rejected what is truth. His concern was to show all his possessions and way of living that at the end can do nothing for him.

“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:28‬ ‭KJV

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭14:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  14. 20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

This is similar to pride in the heart of Licifer. Pride in oneself on the top of the list of what Gods hates. Anything we have have is because the Lord has allowed us to possess, and when honor to the Lord is not given the Lord will render punishment.

  15. “This is the message that was written: Mene, Mene, Tekel, and Parsin. This is what these words mean: Mene means ‘numbered’—God has numbered the days of your reign and has brought it to an end. Tekel means ‘weighed’—you have been weighed on the balances and have not measured up. Parsin means ‘divided’—your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”
    Daniel 5:25‭-‬28 NLT

When I pray the Tabernacle prayer and I come to the Laver of Water (reflection, cleansing, and the bronze represents judgement)
I ask God to weigh me against His Word. Now this sounds scary, but I would rather God do this while He is still merciful and gracious. When we die and stand before Him on the Day of Judgement He will be Judge. Mold me with Your Loving Gentle Hand, Lord❤️🕊️

  16. 18 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:

    22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;

Nebuchadnezzar had the opportunity to make things right, humble himself before God and give God the glory due Him, but instead he took the prideful path, which caused him much pain.

Now we see his son following in the same footsteps. Even after being warned by Daniel of the writing on the wall, Beltshazzar lifts himself up in pride and destruction/death comes to him as well.

in today’s proverb – “Proverbs 17:2 A wise servant shall have rule over a son that causeth shame, and shall have part of the inheritance among the brethren,” we find instructions as parents to rule over our household, teach them the right way, give them a legacy of truth and spiritual disciplines that they can build their life and ensure they stay humble and submitted to the Lord and those that rule over them. Does it always work? No, but if we do our part, we can be rest assured that God will do His part.

  17. 30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.

Our God is a jealous God, many have attend to take his glory and fail on their knees in repentance. In many Pride took over fail in their knees and fail to get up.

  18. “Then at Belshazzar’s command, Daniel was dressed in purple robes, a gold chain was hung around his neck, and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭5:29‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://bible.com/bible/116/dan.5.29.NLT

Because of the simple relationship Daniel had with the true King of kings he was promoted in the natural.
We may go through the fire of trial and tribulation but there’s always greater things in store when you have a true authentic relationship with Jesus.

  19. Daniel 5:20-23 (VOICE)
    20) But there came a point when his heart was so proud and his spirit so haughty that he acted arrogantly; he lost his royal throne and was stripped of his royal honors.
    21) He was driven away from all that is human, and he took on the base instincts of an animal; he lived in the company of wild donkeys and bent over to eat grass like the oxen; every night the dew of heaven fell heavy on his body and made him wet until he learned his lesson and acknowledged that the Most High God is the true sovereign over all earthly kingdoms, and He grants authority to anyone He wishes.
    22) But even though you knew all this, you, Belshazzar, his descendant, have followed in his ways and not lived humbly.
    23) On the contrary, you have risen up against the true LORD of heaven. By demanding that the sacred vessels from His temple be brought before you and having you, your officials, your wives, and your concubines drink from them, you have issued a challenge you cannot win. You have made toasts and offered praise to the idols crafted in silver and gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone — idols which cannot see you, hear you, or know anything at all. And you have failed to honor in all you do the One True God who holds the breath of life in the palm of His hand and makes possible all your days.

Question: What happens to a person who is Proud in heart, haughty in spirit, fails to humble himself before the One True God, challenges the One True God, offers praise to idols, and fails to Honor and Glorify the One True God who holds the Breath of Life in His Hands and makes All our days possible?
Well, we should all know Proverbs 16:18 by heart now, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”
So the Answer is: He will see destruction, he will fall, and he will be humbled by the One True God.
The One True GOD wants ALL the HONOR and GLORY that is due unto HIM!

So, stay Humble before GOD – Humble Yourself Before GOD, and give HIM ALL the HONOR and GLORY that is due unto HIM!

  20. The Kingdom of God is GREATER

God is not mocked. We need to all fear the Lord. The Kings father had simply said (either to himself or to someone around him) how great he had made the kingdom. Then his son used the temple cups praising false gods and God removed him. God sees and hears everything we do. He knows our thoughts and knows our heart. Let’s fear the Lord and stop thinking we are getting away with sin.

  21. 27 Tekel; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

If we invite the warnings of God that he has given us we are sealing our soul’s destiny.
God help us to follow and heed to your warnings that you have given us.

  22. ““Listen, O king! The High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar a great kingdom and a glorious reputation. Because God made him so famous, people from everywhere, whatever their race, color, and creed, were totally intimidated by him. He killed or spared people on whim. He promoted or humiliated people capriciously. He developed a big head and a hard spirit. Then God knocked him off his high horse and stripped him of his fame. He was thrown out of human company, lost his mind, and lived like a wild animal. He ate grass like an ox and was soaked by heaven’s dew until he learned his lesson: that the High God rules human kingdoms and puts anyone he wants in charge.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭5:18-21‬ ‭MSG‬‬

When we don’t give God the credit He deserves, He will remind us that is is the one in control.

  23. 29 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

I learned that they had to get Daniel ready to be the next king bin the kingdom

  24. 22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;

We would be just as foolish today as we read these testaments to think we are exempt from such consequences. Even today we see people rise and fall because of pride, but we can’t think ourselves the exception. We must humble ourselves everyday before the Lord and let Him sanctify us at the altar and through His Word.

  25. “Suddenly, they saw the fingers of a human hand writing on the plaster wall of the king’s palace, near the lampstand. The king himself saw the hand as it wrote,”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭5:5‬ ‭NLT

We serve the Creator; why wouldn’t He be a creative God! God has avenues we cannot access and ways we cannot comprehend. He could have used any means to get Belshazzar and his party to stop but He used an example that would not only influence decisions made back then but also today. Thank You Jesus for imagination and creativity and doing the impossible!

  26. 20 “But when his heart and mind were puffed up with arrogance, he was brought down from his royal throne and stripped of his glory.” NLT

The scripture illustrates that his HEART and MIND were puffed with arrogance. We must not only protect our heart, but also our mind. Whatever we dwell on will become part of who we.

Proverbs 23:7 “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.” NKJV

We must take responsibility for our thoughts, we must renew our minds and clean up our thinking:

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8, ESV

    Greater THOUGHTS
    Greater HEART
    Greater ACTIONS
    Greater 2022

  27. 23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:
29 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.

Balthazar heard the interpretation of the writing, remembered how God dealt with his father, yet did not repent and humble himself before God. Instead, he rewarded Daniel and went on his merry way so to speak. His life ended that very day when he could have humbled himself. No doubt his pride before his lords and wives was too great. We know pride goes before destruction- so we must be willing to be corrected and apply it to our lives. God gives us the chance to repent and correct the wrong, but we must take that path voluntarily.

  28. vs.-16 (The Living Bible)
“I am told that you can solve all kinds of mysteries. If you can tell me the meanings of those words, I will clothe you in purple robes, with a golden chain around your neck, and make you the third ruler in the kingdom.”

    Belshazzar
For many years the reference to Belshazzar was pointed to as proof that the Book of Daniel lacked historical accuracy, and was of a late date. Then archeologists discovered evidence not only of his existence, but of his role as regent for his father Nabonidus! Thus Belshazzar’s promise to make Daniel “third highest: ruler was explained. Belshazzar himself was only second highest! What had been presented as proof of Daniel’s late date became evidence that it was written hundreds of years earlier than supposed, before the historical records of the era had been lost.

  29. 11 There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;

My thought came as I read this part, we must lift up our man of God, our Pastor. God has put him in the position to guide and lead us to becoming Greater, by becoming closer to God and living for Him. God has given him ( Bro. Watts) the Holy Spirit to lead. I have found some of these ways overwhelming and intimidatingly. But when I put each task into perspective, I can see how each step could bring me closer to living for Him as the Bible tell us to. My Prayer. Lord, help me as I take on these ways of becoming closer to you, to follow through on my commitments and not choose my own rewards but to glorify you and give you the honor you are due.

  30. Jesus is always watching when ever you think he’s not he is he’s in control and will help u if your in need or yes just trying to show you something but yeah he’s always here

  31. Daniel 5:22,23
You are his son and have known all this, yet you’re as arrogant as he ever was. Look at you, setting yourself up in competition against the Master of heaven! You had the sacred chalices from his Temple brought into your drunken party so that you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines, could drink from them. You used the sacred chalices to toast your gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, —blind deaf and imbecile gods. But you treat with contempt the living God who holds your entire life from birth to death in his hand.

Wow! You will be humbled one way or another.

Isaiah 2:12 For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

Acts 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

  32. 22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;

Belshazzar should have known better. He brought the vessels from the temple and defiled them by drinking from them. He worshiped all of the inanimate gods of metal, wood and stone, who could not see, hear or know. The kingdom was taken from him and he was killed that night. It is dangerous to insult the true God. He should be feared, worshiped and served.

  33. “But when his heart and mind were puffed up with arrogance, he was brought down from his royal throne and stripped of his glory.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

You can become so puffed up and arrogant that God Himself will humble you.

“Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”
    ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

  34. The fear of the Lord is the moment by moment awareness that HE is judging every thought, word, and with a genuine respect and reverence for Him and HIS WORD.
    No room for pride.

  35. Daniel 5

Belshazzar Nebuchadnezzar’s son, did not humble himself and had the gold and silver goblets brought out and worshipped the gods of silver, gold, bronze and wood. He knew what had transpired with his father.Nebuchadnezzar had the mentality of an animal until God restored his mind. Belshazzar was slain after Daniel told him what the writing meant. God is powerful and do not praise other gods before him. He is a jealous God!
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  36. “But when his heart and mind were puffed up with arrogance, he was brought down from his royal throne and stripped of his glory. “You are his successor, O Belshazzar, and you knew all this, yet you have not humbled yourself.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭5:20, 22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Once again we see here that if we become so prideful and arrogant god will humble us. When god humbled us it doesn’t feel good. This is why it is important to examine yourself daily and if you aren’t in the will of him that you get back to where you should be so that way you won’t have to be humbled by god.

  37. 11 There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;

Many people read and try and give meaning and understanding especially the things of God without having the Spirit of God in them. The word of God was inspired by the Spirit of the Lord. To truly understand this Word of God we must be filled and ask for revelation of his secrets and precepts.

  38. 30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
31 And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.

God’s word is always reliable and true. The word was fulfilled that same night just as Daniel said.
Nothing goes by that God doesn’t know about. As I was ready this chapter I wonder what would the same hand would write about us today? How many times have I put other things before Glorifying God first? Oh Lord have mercy!!!

  39. 20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

    Pride.
Pride is kind of a quality to not have much of. Bring prideful is like being full of yourself and not being considerate. We must be watching this feature, for it may drive many people away. I pray tonight that we do not have pride but we are giving God the credit, because He is the one who deserves it all!!!

  40. 20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

Pride gets us nowhere, satan had pride and we see where that got him.

  41. In the same hour came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

6 Then the king’s countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

He was terrified of the hand that wrote. Yet it shouldn’t take us get to this point to rid us from pride or any other sin. God is drawing us we must be humble and listen

  42. “Daniel answered the king, “Keep your gifts or give them to someone else, but I will tell you what the writing means.”
    Daniel 5:17 NLT

Leaders lead at all times. Leaders should always be ready to lead in every situation and allow God to minister to His people. To lead we must decrease and Jesus must increase in our life, and we must surrender to His will and be faithful to Jesus. Let us give our all to Jesus and help impact this world that needs more of Jesus.

  43. 12 Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation.

When you have the direct connection with God, people will remember you. The enemy hates this because he knows that people will come to you when they get into trouble and there is not a thing he can do about it. God gives his people power to overcome everything that pertains to the enemy.

  44. “But when his heart and mind were puffed up with arrogance, he was brought down from his royal throne and stripped of his glory.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Having pride in us can’t ever do any good, it will not take you anywhere but far from God and his kingdom. The enemy will try so much to get into your head and tell you that everything you have its just because of you and yourself not God, and that right there can build up pride in you if you believe it. I pray tonight that no matter what the enemy tries to do, you never forget what God saved you from, never forget how many times he has blessed you even in your hardest moments. I pray we continue to praise God daily, for without him none of us would be where we are at.

  45. 20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

Pride will cause you to loose more than you ever dreamed..

The Word says that pride comes before the fall…

  46. 29 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

God could put you in places you would never imagine. What could he do in your life. What are you doing for him. What have you done return to my and continue to serve and to carry one.

  47. 29 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

God could put you in places you would never imagine. What could he do in your life. What are you doing for him. What have you done return to my and continue to serve and to carry one.

  48. 23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

24 Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.

Taking The time God has given us for granted and not using it wisely comes at a cost

  49. A peaceful house is far superior than an mansion full of pride, privilege, and strife. Many folk out The Who were born into unbelievable riches, but often these riches do not lead to peace.
Pro 17:1  Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife

  50. 23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

Very hard spot to be in!!! We need to be on the right side!!! The only side would be with GOD, NOT AGAINST GOD!!!
