Daniel 6

It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.

All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.

10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

12 Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king’s decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

13 Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.

16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.

18 Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.

19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.

20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

23 Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

25 Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.

26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

  1. 1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.

3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

In this chapter one of the best known in the whole Bible, Daniel is living under Persian rule. He has been promoted by Darius the king to become one of three governors to be over the one hundred and twenty satraps. Due to the excellent spirit in Daniel, like Daniel sometimes the Lord opens opportunities by the way you carry yourself and when you yield to the Holy Ghost.

    A.L.M.A.S.

  2. 3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

This is one scriptural citation which can give credence to the proclamation that we are going to get a raise on our
job (declared in church prior to tithes and offerings).

22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

When we are in the service of the Lord and full of faith, we are assigned an angel for our protection. Daniel faced a problem but he was delivered from that problem. This is important to comprehend because the scriptures teach us that being saved does not abolish problems from our life, but it gives use deliverance from thoes problems.

  3. But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.
    Daniel 6:10 NLT

One of my favorite history moments in the Bible, not just the story of Daniel being thrown in the Lion’s den, but his resilience to hearing about the new law was to start praying as he always had done before. Daniel knew god. He wasn’t just a man that prophesied what God told him, he communed with him and listened to the Lord on a regular basis. And that’s how he remains secure and who he was and what God had called him to do. His foundation was solid, because he stood with God

  4. 26. I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

In other words, everybody should serve the God of Daniel; He is GREATER!

And don’t set a trap for others, or you could be the one caught in it!

  5. The prophetic vision of Daniel is so powerful. We as Christians must remember that there is an end to all of this. This world is not our home. Our job is to try to bring as many people as we can with us. Get people in loved in Church. Teach the. Gospel. Make disciples. Preach Holiness! The vision talked about God’s holy people. Lord, draw us near to You. Our lifestyle is a testimony of Your precious covering.

  6. Verse 16 MSG “The king caved in and ordered Daniel brought and thrown into the lions’ den. But he said to Daniel, “Your God, to whom you are so loyal, is going to get you out of this.” The very king spoke a word to Daniel into existence. 2 Corinthians 4:13-15 MSG says “We’re not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the psalmist who wrote, “I believed it, so I said it,” we say what we believe. And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive. Every detail works to your advantage and to God’s glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise!” Even the king knew what it would take as we read in verse 18 MSG “The king then went back to his palace. He refused supper. He couldn’t sleep. He spent the night fasting.” Verses 19-20 MSG shows how the king went with HIGH EXPECTANCY the next morning after his fast “At daybreak the king got up and hurried to the lions’ den. As he approached the den, he called out anxiously, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve so loyally, saved you from the lions?” Verse 23 MSG says “When the king heard these words, he was happy. He ordered Daniel taken up out of the den. When he was hauled up, there wasn’t a scratch on him. He had trusted his God.” Trust in the one who holds your life in His hands! Your faith may be a witness to those around you! GREATER faith.

  7. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER! Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

And God was greater once again!!!

  8. To die is gain.

“But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It does not matter what laws are established. It does not matter the consequences that get placed before you. They will come and threaten your life. But keep going.

As Christian’s it will become a time very soon that the government will do their absolute best to get you mess up and fall. Just worship Christ.

Worship the Lord. And your reward will be in heaven.

  9. And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage. In these one paragraph I learned that over those three men Daniel was first princes might give accounts unto them.

  10. Daniel 6: 22-23 ( amp) My God has sent His Angel and has shut the lions mouths so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent and blameless before Him; and also before you,O king, [ as you very well known] I have done no harm or wrong.
    (23) Then the king was exceedingly glad ,and commanded that Daniel should be taken up out of the den, So Daniel was taken up out of the den,and no hurt of any kind was found on him, because he believed ,relied on, adhered to and trusted in his God.
Ps. 91: 11 For He will give His angels [ especial] charge over you,to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [ of obedience and service].
Put your trust in God at all times, and he will take care of it , My God can do anything.

  11. 23 then was the king exceedingly glad for him
And commended that they should take Daniel
    Up out of the den.
So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

    —-
Because he believed in his God.
AMP._ because he believed in and relied on and trusted in his God.
Wow!!! We believe God, but can i( we) rely on Him? Can I take a step back and let God be God?
    Hallelujah!!!
I will bless you Lord, as long as I live
And in your name, i will lift up my hands.
I plead the blood of Jesus
    My trust is in him.
    He is my shield
    Hallelujah

Trust in the Lord with your heart
Lean not on your own understanding
But in all of your acknowledge him
And he shall direct your path.
Daniel believed God, trusted Hod and relied on him.
    Hallelujah!!!
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  12. My GOD has sent His angel and has shut the mouths of the lions so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also before you, O king, I have committed no crime.

    Hallelujah 🙌🙌

Daniel’s faith did not move! But, his faith moved mountains. His eyes seen the salvation of The LORD HIS GOD!
There will be many times in our lives that the mouth of the enemy will rise up against you, keep TRUSTING and keep your FAITH in GOD.

  13. ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:12-14‬ ‭NLT
“So they went straight to the king and reminded him about his law. “Did you not sign a law that for the next thirty days any person who prays to anyone, divine or human—except to you, Your Majesty—will be thrown into the den of lions?” “Yes,” the king replied, “that decision stands; it is an official law of the Medes and Persians that cannot be revoked.” Then they told the king, “That man Daniel, one of the captives from Judah, is ignoring you and your law. He still prays to his God three times a day.” Hearing this, the king was deeply troubled, and he tried to think of a way to save Daniel. He spent the rest of the day looking for a way to get Daniel out of this predicament.”‬‬

Making decisions with out thinking it through or paying about can be very costly not only to us but to others. Especially if it is to boast ourselves or receive something that’s not meant for us. Thankfully God is always looking out for us, no matter what our leaders decide. He is always faithful to those that trust and faithfully serve Him.

  14. 1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.

3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

Thats amazing how Daniel was preferred and shows you the hand of The Lord was upon him to his favor. Greater!!!
Daniel was faithful because he knew Jesus was faithful to him and had him covered so no one can harm him.
    JESUS IS FAITHFUL!!!
    HALLELUJAH!!!
    Thank You JESUS!
    KING OF KINGS!

  15. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Daniel was faithful to God and God protected him.

  16. 3Daniel soon proved himself more capable than all the other administrators and high officers. Because of Daniel’s great ability, the king made plans to place him over the entire empire.

Yes, we all have to prove ourselves in some manner. To get promoted, or get new job, in relationships you have to prove yourself to be worthy. Same with God, prove your commitment to God. Prove yourself by prayer, being faithful and serve in his Kingdom. Once proven, you’ll be accepted into his Kingdom forever.

  17. Daniel soon proved himself more capable than all the other administrators and high officers. Because of Daniel’s great ability, the king made plans to place him over the entire empire. Then the other administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn. He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:3-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

People often don’t like people who are different… especially if they can’t be controlled. And even more so if they are godly! Daniel was striking three out of three on those counts. On top of that, King Darius was now thinking of placing Daniel over the whole kingdom. So through no fault of his own, he soon had some pretty powerful enemies. Jealousy was rearing its ugly head!

  18. 10 NLT “But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.”
‭‭25-26 NLT “Then King Darius sent this message to the people of every race and nation and language throughout the world: “Peace and prosperity to you! “I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, and he will endure forever. His kingdom will never be destroyed, and his rule will never end.”

Daniel did not stop his worship to God. He had faith and trust that God would save him if it was His will. Daniel didn’t sneak around to worship. He did it by an open window as usual. Daniel’s faithfulness to God served as a witness to king Darius that the living GOD is GREATER.

  19. Daniel 6:20-22,27
[20]When he got there, he called out in anguish, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you serve so faithfully, able to rescue you from the lions?”
[21]Daniel answered, “Long live the king!
[22]My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.”
[27]He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.”

God closed the mouths of the lions. God is our protector and will ALWAYS take care of us.

  20. Daniel 6:21,22
Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.
My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

2 Timothy 4:17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

Thank God for His protection always and giving His Angels charge over us.
He did it back then and can do it now.

  21. 16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions.

All along the true purpose of this plan was for the glory of God. Not once was there hesitation or question. The rebellion of others trying to take down a man of God, but Daniel knew God would see him through. In the midst of trouble, God shows off His mighty hand. All we have to do is trust and believe that God has something greater in store and in His time, He will show off for His glory!

  22. 5 “So they finally gave up and said, “We’re never going to find anything against this Daniel unless we can scheme up something religious.” MSG

Thats the life goal. To live and give Jesus so intentionally the only way to find something against you is to scheme up something!

  23. 26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

Possessing the “right spirit” at all times will place us in positions of favor not only with God but men of influence.

The kings decree was to be followed, so Daniel was placed in the den of lions. However, even the king fasted for Daniels deliverance, and expected his God to answer.

Because of the integrity and spirit that Daniel carried, God not only delivered him, but the decree was turned around and was made a new decree that the people would fear the God of Daniel.

May our testimony of possessing a “right spirit” and our integrity of honesty, faithfulness and dependability place us in the company of influential people whose heart will be turned to God because of our witness.

  24. 5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Don’t let anyone find any thing against you unless it is for living for God. For this world will try to trip you up and accuse you of whatever you are doing that is righteous. “You go to church too much, don’t have time for whatever because of your commitments, your spending too much time on reading the bible and praying, you think your better because your a goody to shoe”. The accusations go on and on. In our world today, the sinner is being praise and the Godly and righteous ones are being punished. Just as in Daniel’s day and just like him we must CONTINUE living for God openly and confessing what He has done for us. God will direct our ways and protect us from our enemies.
We will become GREATER with Him and He through us. Thank you Jesus

  25. The Kingdom of God is GREATER
Dan 6:4  Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

Daniel wasn’t forced to go to prayer meeting, he chose to go to prayer meeting… it’s dangerous and unwise to bring accusations against the man of God. These men who blamed Daniel not only lost their lives, but destroyed their whole family. Their innocent wives and children were eaten alive because of their accusation of the man of God. How many folk who have left the church have lost their entire family in the process

  26. GREATER
    FOUND PRAYING

10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

We observe the evidence of a FAITHFUL man. Daniel was a faithful man because he was FOUND PRAYING to GOD when ordered not to. Daniel had already established his commitment to, faith in and life toward GOD with choices he made in regard to the kings food, idol worship and gifts from the earthly king.

Now we have witness of the FAITHFULNESS of Daniel in PRAYER. Faithfulness in PRAYER is the reason Daniel is able to make the other wise choices. When warned and instructed to not pray. Daniel PRAYED.

In todays FAITH community it seems backwards from the FAITH of Daniel as we are instructed to PRAY and not many are FOUND PRAYING. This is not a new digression as JESUS witnessed it in his PRAYER at the Gethsemane.

Mark 14:32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
    33 And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;

Mark 14:34 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

Mark 14:37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?
38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
39 And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.
40 And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.
41 And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

JESUS took the 3 closest to him on the earth as he walked and charged his 3 closest disciples to PRAY and when he returned they were not FOUND PRAYING.

I wonder how many of us that are close to him will be FOUND PRAYING when HE returns for HIS Church. I pray the spirit and attitude of Daniel would baptize us with the tenacious desire to PRAY that Daniel had. Therefore we will be FOUND PRAYING when JESUS returns.

Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

    FAITH

Jude 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

  27. 3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

There are always going to be those few that will envy or get convicted by your excellent spirit. They will look for a way to send you to the lions den. It is up to you to keep your excellent spirit!!! Continue to do your best, do not lose your faith, and above all SHARE YOUR EXCELLENT SPIRIT AND THE ONE THAT GAVE IT TO YOU!!! SHARE JESUS CHRIST!!!

  28. 16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions.

Daniel has now served 3 kings and God has shown himself mighty to them-whether in blessing Daniel with wisdom and knowledge or by preserving his people due to not serving the pagan gods. Even king Darius knew the power of the living God that Daniel served. When we receive miracles, healings and blessings we need to share to others what a might God we serve so they too can come to him and be blessed and saved.

  29. Daniel 2:47, “The king (Nebuchadnezzar) answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.”
Daniel 3:29, “Therefore I (king Nebuchadnezzar) make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
    Daniel 6:25-27:
    25) Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied unto you.
    26) I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
    27) He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

For a couple of days, I talked about how Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had to go through a Process to get a Higher Position to become GREATER, yet isn’t that what king Nebuchadnezzar and king Darius have done for God.
When they realized and saw who God really was, God of gods, Lord of kings, revealer of secrets, the Living God, stedfast God, Deliverer, Rescuer, worker of signs and wonders, because of Daniel’s, Shadrach’s, Meshach’s, and Abednego’s witness and faith and trust in God, didn’t they Promote God to a Higher Position and make Him GREATER?

Our witness and faith and trust in God should also help others realize and see who God really is, and may they make God – the Living God – Higher and GREATER in their lives.

  30. The Living Bible
    VS-(9-10)
9-So King Darius signed the law.
10-But though Daniel knew about it, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs bedroom, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, and prayed three times a day, just as he always had, giving thanks to his God.

Daniel prayed where he always had, in his own home, in an upstairs room. He did not directly challenge Darius’s law, but also he would not retreat from his open commitment to God. There’s a balance here at times could be not as easy to maintain.

Daniel prayed three times a day, just as he always had.
I think praying three times a day, would be a great to do as for myself and the church. I pray every day and talk to the Lord off and on during the day. During this last week fast the Church did I prayed at least three times a day and for myself I fill lifted up. I think it’s a great idea
to pray three times a day.
6: 16: Events can turn hope to faith.
Keep on doing what is right, and rely on God to guard you.

  31. 24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

When enemies of God’s chosen conspire against them, often times they fall into the trap they set for others. The king acknowledged Daniels God and praised him though out the kingdom.

  32. Greater Excellence
v3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

Paul exhorted the Ephesians to seek the will of God, “ Not with eyesevice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart “

Proverbs 17: 27 He that hath knowledge spare the his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.

Someone with true knowledge will think before he speaks; he will be careful to use the right word to express his intent, and he will use no more words than necessary.

    • He will demonstrate his excellent, or calm spirit. He is not excitable or given to ill conceived displays of temper or fears.

  33. Daniel 6

Faithfulness had gotten Daniel in trouble; and faith had gotten him out of it!!! Trust in Jesus always.
Thank you Jesus for this day.

  34. 4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

Daniel live in great integrity. So they had to make up an occasion for him to be placed in a compromising position. Even in that position He was still standing in integrity and in relationship with God. Unable to change Daniel he was thrown in with the lions and still stood in integrity and God stood with him.

Now this is a man of God we can learn a lot from.

  35. 3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

When you have an excellent spirit, it can open many doors for you. No one wants to work with anyone who is negative all the time. To have a good spirit means you have the ability to find favor with others. God helps his people to excel and move forward even when road blocks are put in the way.

  36. This was about how the king did not believe in Jesus but Daniel did and so he got thrown into the lions den but he had Jesus with him so he did not get hurt
I learned that when got is with you you have nothing to fear because what ever is trying to get you won’t

Daniel never changed up anything. He continued to pray as he always did. We can all learn a lesson from Daniel that regardless of what may go on in our outer world we should never change up what we are doing. Don’t change up your prayer life don’t change up your fasting. Stay committed to god. Honor your covenant that you made with him.

  38. “He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It is incredible what God can do! He can and will do the unimaginable! We serve a God who heals, delivers, saves, and restores. We have to be willing to put all of our faith and trust in him, even in the moments where you feel like giving up. God will never let his children fail, he will give them all the strength they need to defeat the enemy. I pray tonight that we go out and spread his word, share to the lost that what they are facing isn’t greater than our God, let them know that with him they can and will overcome anything.

  39. “So King Darius signed the law.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭NLT

Be careful what you sign and attach your name to. Before we make any commitment or decision we should consult God first. Nothing or no one is more valuable than His knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Thank You Jesus for Your Word!

  40. 4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him

The Word of God tells us that we would be the head and not the tail. Some key things to take notice of is that Daniel possessed an excellent spirit. This gains him favor with God and men. Thus he was exalted. We must remember that he first served the kings that were before in Babylon. Nebuchadnezzar and then his son. He wasn’t in it because of what was being offered to him, like gold chains, garments and titles. Also, God does not leave us in the dark about the challenges we might expect by rising to the top. Of course there will be some animosity, envy and accusation. And you will be a target for occasion against you. And the antidote, the counter attack, is yet so simple but can be so hard in the midst of the hardship. The Word tells us clearly that they could not find any occasion nor fault; for as much as he was found faithful. Stay in your post. Keep giving your best with the same excellence and humbleness that God recognized. A good attitude, excellent spirit and vision of who you are serving and with what goal, will keep you on your tracks that no fault be found in you. Why? without vision the people cast off restraint, says one translation. You leave your guard down. you cast off a little restraint here ad there, you stop caring a little about the small things that make up the foundation for excellence and soon enough you will stumble over time. Be found faithful and do not give room for the enemy to find fault in you.

  41. 22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

    Daniel and the lions den.
This is truly a classic story but let’s take a deeper look into it.

In the scripture that I have laid above Daniel is explaining to the king what had happened. The king threw him into the lions den excepting him do die, but God. God protected Daniel and they both proved the king wrong. Many may have their doubts bad assumptions, but with God anything is possible. It doesn’t matter the situation, time, nor circumstance God can do anything! I pray tonight that we are realizing that God is more than able to solve our problems we just have to put our faith and trust in Him! So if you’ve gotten anything from this message it is to always Trust God for He will get you out of your situations and struggles!!!

  42. “We are all in agreement—we administrators, officials, high officers, advisers, and governors—that the king should make a law that will be strictly enforced. Give orders that for the next thirty days any person who prays to anyone, divine or human—except to you, Your Majesty—will be thrown into the den of lions.”
    Daniel 6:7 NLT

As we faithfully serve the Lord our God with all hearts we will be put to test of our faithful to see if will be obedient to God. Daniel trust the Lord in every situation God’s favor was with him, and Daniel being faithful to Jesus was protected and prospered in victory. Let us not lose hope for Jesus is with His people and let’s continue to be faithful to the Lord and shall be victorious.

  43. 16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

King Darius even knew the great power of our God! So much so that he first told Daniel not to be afraid and then came to check on him the next day asking if God kept him safe. I don’t believe he was asking in disbelief, or empathetic, or patronizing. I believe he was genuinely asking as he believed in God great power as well.

    • Be that witness to your co-workers, your peers, and your neighbors. That they would have believe in the faith and association through you!

    • Be that witness to your co-workers, your peers, and your neighbors. That they would have believe in the faith and association through you!

  44. “We are all in agreement—we administrators, officials, high officers, advisers, and governors—that the king should make a law that will be strictly enforced. Give orders that for the next thirty days any person who prays to anyone, divine or human—except to you, Your Majesty—will be thrown into the den of lions. Hearing this, the king was deeply troubled, and he tried to think of a way to save Daniel. He spent the rest of the day looking for a way to get Daniel out of this predicament.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:7, 14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It’s easy to get caught up in the race for the top, easy to take what seems the easy road, the one that will get you there first. Seems gunning for the top and manipulated those around you will always lead to you hurting them instead of building them up and taking them to the top with you.

  45. “Daniel soon proved himself more capable than all the other administrators and high officers. Because of Daniel’s great ability, the king made plans to place him over the entire empire.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬
Your gifts will make room for you. You don’t have to assert yourself or boost.

  46. Im sorry, I read it last night and for some reason it didn’t post!!!

10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

This is key, it might be a bit much for some but to be in prayer 3 times a day is a great start!!!

Because of Daniel’s faith and testimony the king had hope that GOD would deliver him!!!

18 Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of musick brought before him: and his sleep went from him.

He couldn’t sleep for Daniel was in the lion, this king had conviction and wasn’t a man of GOD……BUT GOD was feeling with him in Daniel’s cause!!!
    GOD IS FAITHFUL!!!

GOD was dealing with the king, but sometimes us as servants , children and believers of the Most high GOD, must go through situations sometimes to glorify GOD that they would come unto GOD!!! After all of that he prospered……

  47. “So at last the king gave orders for Daniel to be arrested and thrown into the den of lions. The king said to him, “May your God, whom you serve so faithfully, rescue you.” Very early the next morning, the king got up and hurried out to the lions’ den. When he got there, he called out in anguish, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you serve so faithfully, able to rescue you from the lions?” Daniel answered, “Long live the king! My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.””
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:16, 19-22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There is nothing that could stand against Jesus. Daniel was thrown in a lions den but what they didn’t know was that he was worshipping the Lion and the Lamb. He was already walking with the toughest Lion. We need to stay close to Jesus you never know when you’re gonna be thrown in a den full of Lions

  48. 3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

6 Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.

There will be times when people get jealous over the way God has moved in your life, but you just have to keep believing in him and pushing forward.
