Daniel 9

In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;

In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lordcame to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

14 Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

15 And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;

21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

  1. Daniel 9: 3-19

    Daniel’s petitions were based on the character of God ( His greatness, awesomeness, faithfulness, righteousness, forgiveness, mercies)and His interests ( y por people, your city, your holy mountain, your sanctuary). Thank you Jesus!

  2. Verses 4-6 ERV “I prayed to the Lord my God and told him about all my sins. I said, “Lord, you are a great and awesome God. You keep your agreement of love and kindness with people who love you. You keep your agreement with the people who obey your commands. “But we have sinned. We have done wrong. We have done evil things. We turned against you. We turned away from your commands and good decisions. The prophets were your servants. They spoke for you to our kings, to our leaders, to our fathers, and to the common people in our country. But we did not listen to them.” Confessing our sin within our rebellion is a good start. 1 John 1:6-10 ERV says “So if we say that we share in life with God, but we continue living in darkness, we are liars, who don’t follow the truth. We should live in the light, where God is. If we live in the light, we have fellowship with each other, and the blood sacrifice of Jesus, God’s Son, washes away every sin and makes us clean. If we say that we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do this. He always does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrong things we have done. If we say that we have not sinned, we are saying that God is a liar and that we don’t accept his true teaching.” Same verses AMP “If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness [of sin], we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations]. If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude ourselves and the truth is not in us. [His word does not live in our hearts.] If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. If we say that we have not sinned [refusing to admit acts of sin], we make Him [out to be] a liar [by contradicting Him] and His word is not in us.” Be GREATER in the Light!

  3. 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

    Understanding the book of Daniel is vital to understanding the book of Revelations. Daniel speaks of how the coming of Jesus will establish His holy reign with the redeemed.

  4. “O Lord our God, you brought lasting honor to your name by rescuing your people from Egypt in a great display of power. But we have sinned and are full of wickedness. In view of all your faithful mercies, Lord, please turn your furious anger away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain. All the neighboring nations mock Jerusalem and your people because of our sins and the sins of our ancestors.
    Daniel 9:15‭-‬16 NLT

    There’s some things that God cannot do, and that is to intercede for his children. God has called his people who are faithful and obedient to see on the behalf of those that need it most. It is an hour seeking God that he forgive them and redirect their paths to one that leads back to him. God called Daniel to not only stand for his word, but to advise the king in babylon, and to prophesy the word of God but he also called him to intercede on the behalf of his children which were held captive.

  5. 21. As I was praying, Gabriel, whom I had seen in the earlier vision, came swiftly to me at the time of the evening sacrifice.

    22. He explained to me, “Daniel, I have come here to give you insight and understanding.

    23. The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision. NLT

    God always answers our prayers.
    Sometimes we get a “yes”
    Sometimes we get a “no”
    Sometimes we get a “later”
    Sometimes we get an explanation or clarity about what we are praying for.

    Keep praying; God isn’t ignoring you, He may just be wanting to see how bad you really want what you are praying for.

  6. Daniel 9 : 19 – 20 ( amp) O Lord hear! O Lord, forgive ! O Lord, give heed and act! Do not delay for Your own sake,O my God, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name.

    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:21-23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    We can fulfill the Word of God by prayer. Prayer and Bible reading go together.  There is a cyclical relationship between the two.  Prayer leads to the Word, and the Word leads to prayer.

  8. 22 He instructed me and he talk with me and said:
    “ O Daniel i have now come to give you insight
    And wisdom and understanding”.

    One of the most beautiful things and times that would not change for anything is when I start reading his word
    Or praying or just sitting in the living room and just starting to talk to him, and His Spirit falling on me taking over and just having fellowship talking to each other, me asking
    Him responding👉🏼 Giving me insight and understanding of matters…
    Hallelujah!!
    What I noticed here was that it says that the Ángel Gabriel was the one who visited him…
    Wether it’s the Lord or an angel sent by Him
    Its wonderful, it’s beautiful, it’s breAth taking
    When this happen.
    Yes, Daniel prayed and fast….
    God is great and greatly to be praise.
    Glory to His name
    Bless the Lord O my soul.

    ‭‭GOD hears our prayers from the moment we begin praying. He may choose not to answer when we want Him to however HIS timing is always on time. We must continue to confess our sins, repent, fast and pray. Then wait on the Lord.

  11. 16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

    17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

    19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

    20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;

    22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

    This is a great example why GREATER PRAYER is so important in our relationship with JESUS. Daniel knew the impact it would make not just for him but for the city that the people dwelt on.
    Thank You JESUS!
    Hallelujah!

  12. 18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
    19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

    In Daniel’s repentance he didn’t ask forgiveness because of their righteousness, but rather because of God’s great mercies. It’s not who we are, it’s who He is! Our righteousness is as filthy rags, but his mercies are sure. I remember David and God’s great mercies to him and I’m so thankful today he gives us this same mercy and grace.

  13. Daniel 9:4,9
    [4]I prayed to the lord my God and confessed:“O Lord, you are a great and awesome God! You always fulfill your covenant and keep your promises of unfailing love to those who love you and obey your commands.
    [9]But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him.

    Thank you Jesus for mercy, unfailing love and forgiveness.

    Lamentations 3:22-23
    [22]The faithful love of the lord never ends!
        His mercies never cease.
    [23]Great is his faithfulness;
        his mercies begin afresh each morning.

  14. 22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
    23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

    With deeper relationship comes deeper understanding. God loves us and wants is to be intimately close to Him, and with that comes deeper or greater revelations into who He is and what He desires. Just to be close to you, is my desire Lord!

  15. 2 “During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned from reading the word of the Lord…”

    We can learn multiple things in our life, however some the most valuable lessons learned is from the Bible. We should not take for granted the wisdom and guidance that is at our fingertips.

  16. ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:21‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    “As I was praying, Gabriel, whom I had seen in the earlier vision, came swiftly to me at the time of the evening sacrifice.”

    If we can just realize and see how crucial having a prayer life is.
    When we pray we have the ability and power to move God on our behalf. The moment we truly pray it activates Gods authority to dispatch angles to help, answer and lead us through any situation. So if you think God doesn’t answer. He does!!

  17. 11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

    The cost of sin is higher than one believe in the moments leading up to the act. Our relationship with God is the most important relationship we have. This fact should be in the for front of our minds each day. To remind us to take a moment and weigh our actions and life each day. We must be intentional when it comes to hearing and obeying the voice of God.

  18. The Kingdom of God is GREATER
    *These are prophecies for the endtime generation.

    *Why was it so important for Daniel to understand prophesies that wouldn’t occur until thousands of years later?

    *Daniel prayed and fasted for answers. Why?

    *Why did it matter to Daniel? He would not see fulfillment in his lifetime.

    *These prophesies are coming to past in our lifetime yet many denominations don’t care to understand these prophesies. Who’s praying for revelation? Who’s studying for revelation? Who’s teaching the revelation? Who’s fasting for the understanding of the endtime? Most folk in the church don’t think it matters, but Daniel thought it mattered…. 🤷‍♂️

  19. “we have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:5-6‬ ‭KJV

    Here Daniel never stopped praying for GOD’s people. He kept praying knowing what ‘we’ had done. Prayer can keep the mercy and grace of GOD upon our lives not only us alone, but, for every prodigal child. Even though we deserve the wrath of GOD upon our lives.
    In His name we become alive. His love for His creation remains for us. So keep praying, for he hears every prayer and will answer according to HIS will.

    “Pray without ceasing.”
    ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭KJV

  20. GREATER
    GREATER PRAYER

    20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;

    WHILE I WAS PRAYING!

    The ANGEL of the LORD flew in while Daniel the man of GOD was speaking in prayer. GREATER things happen when we PRAY. The LORD sent Gabriel the ANGEL of Announcement to confirm to Daniel of the attentive ear of the LORD to the PRAYER of Daniel.

    At the beginning of thy supplications Gabriel informed Daniel he was heard.

    NIV
    23 As soon as you began to pray, a word went out, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed. Therefore, consider the word and understand the vision:

    When we speak words in PRAYER. JESUS hears us. PRAY, HOPE and TRUST. JESUS hears us when we PRAY. Dont be discouraged, dismayed or defeated. JESUS hears us when we PRAY.

  21. Daniel s vision of the 70 weeks is pivotal for those who interpret prophecy in any literal way. Daniel learns from Scripture that God intense to restore His people (9:1-3) and goes to prayer to beg God to keep His promise of restoration soon(4-19). God sends Gabrielle who explain that God has decreed seventy sevens for the Jews and the Holy City (20-23). At the end of that time He will complete His plan for the world(24). Gabriel goes to explain when to begin counting, and how the time period is divided, focusing on events in the 70th week, Which is separated from the other 69 by the (cutting off) of the Messiah (25-27)

  22. 17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

    20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;

    21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

    Repentance before the Lord will always bring an answer from the heavenlies.

    2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

    Let us cry out to God for our region, cry out to God for our Church body, for the backsliders, for those lost in the house, those lost during the pandemic to come home, repent before God for our selfish, unrighteous ways, and watch God turn it around. We are too close to give up Now! Now is the time for Harvest! Now is the time for Revival! NOW is the time for GREATER!

  23. 11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

    We could replace Israel with America. Our nation has turned from God, excepting sinfulness into our lives. We have not obeyed the laws of God, but the laws of man. But just as Daniel we should go to the Lord and pray and we must pray whole heartedly for our City, State and Nation. For our leaders, pastors, our families, people of this century, for it is now that we are seeing the visions given to Daniel. A curse is upon all our land for the evil that we have let infiltrate our schools, churches, government, homes. It has become normal but yet is a sin against God. I believe that He our Savior will save us from the destruction of America if we have a great revival by prayer & fasting. Turning from our sinful ways and finding the truth. I believe that God loves us so much that He wants us to come to Him and live for Him so that we can forever be with Him.
    Thank you Jesus for your saving grace and forgiveness.

  24. O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

  25. Daniel 9:2-3 & 20 (NLT)
    2) During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel learned from reading the word of the Lord, as revealed to Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years.
    3) So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and fasting. I also wore rough burlap and sprinkled myself with ashes.

    20) I went on praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people, pleading with the Lord my God for Jerusalem, his holy mountain.

    When we READ the Word of God, what do we learn? How do we respond to it?
    Does it cause us to PRAY and FAST and cause us to Humble ourselves before God? Does it cause us to Confess our sins and the sins of others – our families, our friends, our neighbors, our co-workers, our city? Do we plead to God for His FORGIVENESS and His MERCY?
    IT SHOULD!!

    GREATER PRAYER
    GREATER FASTING
    GREATER HUMBLENESS
    GREATER CONFESSION
    GREATER FORGIVENESS of GOD
    GREATER MERCY of GOD

  26. 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

    26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

    This prophecy tells of the Messiah coming and his crucifixion. It is a shame that the majority of the Jews were blinded and could not see this. Thankfully a remnant of the Jews and a multitude of Gentiles saw it and believed in Jesus.

  27. 22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

    23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

    We will never be able to fully understand His ways but the more time we spend with Him the deeper our understanding will be.

  28. Greater
    Great Mercies
    v18 O my God, incline thine ear, and hear open thine eyes , and behold our desolation, , and the city which is called by thy name : for we do not present our supplication before thee for our righteousness, but for thy great mercies.

    God has given us many promises that we may embrace and claim as our own.
    So thankful it’s not our own righteousness ( for they are as filthy rags) but in the righteousness of God, whose Holy Spirit we have. He has clothed us in His own righteousness by His Spirit.

  29. He was repeating for all the bad things the city done they sin and sin and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments.

  30. 12 And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

    They brought great evil upon heaven has not been done be Jerusalem

  31. 2 During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned from reading the word of the LORD, as revealed to Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years.

    Yes, we learn from reading and studying. The more time you put into studying, the more you will learn. Yes, God want us to know more about him, so we read the Word. The more you know of God, the stronger you’ll be spiritually. And the enemy can’t deceive you easily.

  32. Daniel 9:17-19
    Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake. O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies. O Lord hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

    Psalm 80:3 Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

    God’s grace, mercy and forgiveness displayed in their restoration to their land.

  33. Daniel 9
    There are many examples of people who pray to learn the will of God. There are also examples of people who do not pray and find themselves in trouble. We must learn that the most important
    way to learn the will of God is through prayer. If any one lacks wisdom, we should ask God, and through prayer and fasting we can find the answers.
    Thank you Jesus for this day.

  34. “But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Thankful for a god that is forgiving. Even though I may at times fall short of his glory he still loves and forgives me. So why wouldn’t I want to worship and magnify his name.

  35. 9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

    We serve a really great God who is very understanding and willing to forgive. He has forgave each and everyone of us from things we have done and we should be grateful! I pray tonight that we are always asking for forgiveness from Him in our troubled times!!!

  36. 22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

    God can give an understanding of his word that will blow our mind. When we begin to understand the word of God, mysteries will be revealed to us. By his word, we are more than conquerors.

  37. We should be able to understand how the Bible functions and operates, if we understand that, then it would be easier to understand.

  38. “The moment you began praying, a command was given. And now I am here to tell you what it was, for you are very precious to God. Listen carefully so that you can understand the meaning of your vision.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:23‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    You may feel like you’ll never understand the Lord and his ways, and you may feel like you can quite understand yet what he wants to use you for. But just know God has brought you here specifically you for a special reason. God has wonders for your life, he knows you are strong enough to accomplish anything in his kingdom. So I pray tonight that you continue to search God daily, continue to read and live his word, for there is when you grow stronger in him and grow more in his understanding. Trust in the Lord and the plan he has in store for you, for it is big and you will be able to help others guide them to the Lord.

  39. Proverbs 21:9

    It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

    Fellers need to make peace with his wife if he ever expect to find peace

  40. 3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
    4 And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

    If the prophet humbles himself so, why would we think we are entitled to come so disrespectfully demanding Jesus to do as we want?

    Second, just a thought, but he didn’t pray any silent prayers..

  41. 22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

    23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

    God gives knowledge and understanding when we seek him

  42. 3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
    4 And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

    We should all be so transparent and just seek His face. To come with confessions, seeking in prayer and supplication. How often do you seek His face? How often do you turn in prayer? Daily should be the answer. If not multiple times a day. Seek His face!!

  43. 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

    No matter the storms, no matter the situation GOD IS GOD ALL BY HIMSELF!!! THE KINGDOM OF GOD MOVES FORWARD WITH OT WITHOUT US!!!

  44. During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned from reading the word of the Lord, as revealed to Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years.
    Daniel 9:2 NLT

    It should be that reading the Word of the Lord should bring understanding, and shed light into the dark areas of our lives. It will speak to your soul and spirit and will let you know what you must do.

  45. ““O my God, lean down and listen to me. Open your eyes and see our despair. See how your city—the city that bears your name—lies in ruins. We make this plea, not because we deserve help, but because of your mercy.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

    Not because we deserve it but because of your mercy. This reminds me of a song

    Your grace and mercy, brought me through. I’m living this moment, because of You. I wasn’t to thank You and praise You to. Because Your grace and mercy brought me through.

    Jesus, thank You for Your grace and mercy! We serve a righteous God who is faithful to the end!

  46. Now listen and understand! Seven sets of seven plus sixty-two sets of seven will pass from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem until a ruler—the Anointed One—comes. Jerusalem will be rebuilt with streets and strong defenses, despite the perilous times.
    Daniel 9:25 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/dan.9.25.NLT

    God will always make a way for those He loves.

  47. “All Israel has disobeyed your instruction and turned away, refusing to listen to your voice. “So now the solemn curses and judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured down on us because of our sin. You have kept your word and done to us and our rulers exactly as you warned. Never has there been such a disaster as happened in Jerusalem.”
    ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:11-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://bible.com/bible/116/dan.9.12.NLT

    God don’t break promises so everything that we’ve learned everything that we’ve been taught about curses about being rightfully judged all these things will come to pass and there’s nothing that we can do about it other than live just in righteously we have to seek ye first the kingdom and we can’t let anything stand in our way doing it
