40 Days of FIRE – Day 26 – Acts Chapter 26

Day 26: Acts Ch.26. Paul finally gets an opportunity to defend himself before high ranking Roman officials. However, instead of making it a defense for his release, Paul proclaims and defends the Gospel. Pray for a desire to contend for the Gospel and see others come to Christ.

Acts 26

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:

I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.

My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;

Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.

And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:

Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.

12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,

13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.

16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

21 For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.

22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

24 And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.

25 But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.

26 For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.

27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.

28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

30 And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:

31 And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

32 Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.

  1. 20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Faith gives us saving faith. Nevertheless our faith is proven to be true faith by the works that we do, which express our repentance.

  2. King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know you do—” Agrippa interrupted him. “Do you think you can persuade me to become a Christian so quickly?” Paul replied, “Whether quickly or not, I pray to God that both you and everyone here in this audience might become the same as I am, except for these chains.” Then the king, the governor, Bernice, and all the others stood and left. As they went out, they talked it over and agreed, “This man hasn’t done anything to deserve death or imprisonment.”

Why would Agrippa ask this if he didn’t feel a tugging in his spirit? Perhaps it made him uncomfortable and that’s what prompted him to ask that.
Praying we have more moments to share the Gospel and those uncomfortable moments turn into moments of prayer and people being taken over in the Holy Ghost!!

  3. Verses 17-20 MSG “‘I’m sending you off to open the eyes of the outsiders so they can see the difference between dark and light, and choose light, see the difference between Satan and God, and choose God. I’m sending you off to present my offer of sins forgiven, and a place in the family, inviting them into the company of those who begin real living by believing in me.’ “What could I do, King Agrippa? I couldn’t just walk away from a vision like that! I became an obedient believer on the spot. I started preaching this life-change—this radical turn to God and everything it meant in everyday life—right there in Damascus, went on to Jerusalem and the surrounding countryside, and from there to the whole world.” Let us also be like Paul and take this life-changing radical turn to God to everyone in our city as we have a charge “Impacting Lives To Change The World”. Let us have a GREATER impact!

  4. 14 NLT “We all fell down, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is useless for you to fight against my will.’”
    ‭‭
When GOD has chosen you to accomplish His purpose, It doesn’t matter how hard you kick and resist, GOD’s Will be done. You can learn to submit the easy way or like Paul the hard way.
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:12-13‬ ‭NLT “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him, even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief.”

  5. Agrippa interrupted him. “Do you think you can persuade me to become a Christian so quickly?” Paul replied, “Whether quickly or not, I pray to God that both you and everyone here in this audience might become the same as I am, except for these chains.”

And Agrippa said to Festus, “He could have been set free if he hadn’t appealed to Caesar.”

Agrippa suggested to festus that he would have been set free if he had not appealed to caesar, but also if he had not appealed the Caesar he would not have been able to testify to festus and Agrippa and give them the opportunity to turn their hearts towards Jesus. Everywhere we go, and virtually every decision we make can results in our pathway leading to being able to witness to someone who needs to hear it. Even though we make mistakes I truly feel and believe that God orchestrates things ahead of time to put us in the pathway of those people. Sin is never justified but we serve an almighty God who knows how it will turn out and is able to create opportunities to witness around it. Our job, as servants, is to trust God and witness at every opportunity

  6. “But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This isn’t the time to be silent. I/We must testify!!!
Just last week at the end of the service, Pastor Watts mentioned ‘The Black hole’ he played the sound of it. Pure darkness it was. The sound was something I had never heard before in my life. If you go back and listen, close your eyes and hear. Your imagination will begin to think of souls going into pure darkness that you will realize I must continue to be a witness of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the reason why I live, and continue to testify.

“And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭14:23‬

  7. 18. It will be your mission to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the kingdom of Satan to the kingdom of God. This is so that they may receive forgiveness of all their sins and have a place among those who are set apart for a holy purpose through having faith in Me.” Voice

How will we turn their eyes from darkness to the Light? Let them see Greater in us than they see in those around them.

Greater is He that is in me
Greater is He that is in me
Greater is He that is in me
Than he that is in the world

  8. Acts of the Apostles 26:8
Why does it seem incredible to any of you that God can raise the dead?

    Hallelujah, wonder-working God
    Wonder-working God
    Don’t you ever stop believing
    ‘Cause He’s so, so good
    So, so good

  9. The revelation of the first phrase on this verse change my life forever!!!! I remember like it was yesterday how our Pastor Watts preached about this and how joy is just a choice! Since then I make a conscious decision to be happy every morning and once I chose JOY there is no turning back. I do not allow anyone or anything to steal my joy!! Thank you Jesus for your Homy Ghost and it’s fruits.
2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

  10. 27 King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

In his heart, the king believed, but I believe his position caused him to reject turning to the truth. How miserable the king must have been in his heart of hearts. We must encourage our guests to return to church, offering Bible studies so they can understand their need to come to him completely.

  11. Acts 26:15-19 (AM)
    15) And I said, Who are You, Lord? And the Lord said, I am JESUS whom you are persecuting.
    16) Get up and stand on your feet, I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you (to serve) as a minister and as a witness (to testify, with authority) not only to the things which you have seen, but also to the things in which I will appear to you.
    17) (Choosing you for Myself and) rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you,
    18) To open their (spiritual) eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness and release rom sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified (set apart, made holy) by faith in Me.
    19) So, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, (NLT says, I obeyed that vision from heaven).

    “Obey The Vision”
Paul was Obedient to the Vision JESUS had given him. He was a Minister and a Witness. He was sent to open people’s (spiritual blind) eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to Light and from the power of satan to God, and so they would receive forgiveness of sins and have an inheritance among the people of God who are sanctified by Faith in Him.
Paul Impacted Lives with the Gospel.

We too must be “Obedient To The Vision” of POFW. IMPACTING LIVES TO CHANGE THE WORLD!

  12. 19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

Paul carried out the vision of the Kingdom regardless of his personal circumstances. When placed before men of power, he witnessed about Jesus Christ. When placed before common men, he witnessed about Jesus Christ. He and the other disciples and converts to the gospel turned the world upside down in 3 short years.

We must become obedient to this heavenly vision as well. What could we, united in spirit do if we all worked together to turn this region of Fort Worth upside down? All it takes is for all of us to allow the fire of the Spirit of God to ignite within us, and consume us with that burning passion to be obedient to the heavenly vision.

  13. 25 But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.

When you tell others how Jesus saved you from darkness to light and filled you with The Holy Ghost. Jesus will tug at their hearts and they also will feel the call from GOD to be filled with The Holy Ghost and be baptized in The Name Of Jesus.
    Hallelujah!
    Thank You Jesus!

  14. The Living Bible
    vs-24
Suddenly Festus shouted ,Paul you are insane. Your long studying has broken your mind!

Ever the pragmatic Roman, Festus was amazed at the idea of a resurrection. He believed Paul had become so engrossed in Jewish studies that he had lost his grip on reality. Like modern scientific thinkers cannot imagine a spiritual reality beyond the material universe.

  15. GREATER
    CONSTRAINED BY AN APPEAL

32 Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.

In chapter 25 we learned of the appeal of Paul to a higher authority. Here we learn of the consequences or committment of that appeal. Paul would have been set free from the bonds that held him. But, his appeal placed him in the process of promotion that could not be altered.

I believe our appeal to JESUS is likewise, when we appeal to JESUS we are positioned to be used at HIS will for HIS Kingdom. Which at times will include some hardships.

The apostle demonstrates trates for us the commitment to the message JESUS has given us even when on trial or in hardships. I pray that these final 14 days of this 40 Day climb will teach us of our commitment to JESUS, HIS Kingdom and HIS will as we continue to share with anyone that will listen of a Love that is GREATER than any other. JESUS.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iLive
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo
    iBlessYouInTheNameOfTheLordJESUS
iSee a REVIVAL and HARVEST building that is GREATER than anything I have ever seen coming to The POFW.

  16. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER! 24 And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.

25 But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.

The name calling so relevant to today’s nonbelievers!

  17. Acts 26: 18 ( amp) To open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God ,so that they may thus receive forgiveness and release from their sins reand a place and portion among those who are consecrated and purified by faith in me.
Isaiah 42: 7 ( amp) To open the eyes of the blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness from the prison.
Yes amen, Through hardships it is revival and harvest time.
Praise God and Give him Glory.

  18. 28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

How many people have been almost persuaded to be a Christian. Paul was fervent in his testimony and very persuasive. He wanted everyone to be saved, but he didn’t want others to be in bonds.

  19. Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

No matter what Paul preached Jesus

  20. The Kingdom of Heaven is GREATER than our past
10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

I guess this is the first time I really saw this. Paul says “many” of the saints… then it he says, “and when they (plural) were put to death”. So, it looks like Paul was a part of many saints being put to death. I always thought it was only Stephen, but here it appears more than one. Jesus is truly GREATER than our past.

  21. 29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

  22. 6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:
7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
From the law the was given to mosses in writing and into all the prophets. now the very same people the who were waiting for this promise they persecuting everyone where the promised is forefeeling.
The prophet Jahn saw this persecution before happen.
Revelation 12;17, Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.
The killing started in the time of Jesus ends when the church shook hands with the pagans.
now pagans and Christians follow the same region until the great reform, But now follow a great deception with the three demons of revelation 14, ???

  23. 22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

We must continue to witness to the lost and plan seeds of salvation because we never know what God is doing. We must pray always for the Harvest.

  24. 2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa,

It didn’t matter what the situation was for him! Nor matter how down or no matter how people thought his situation was broken. He thought himself happy. We need to start making ourselves happy and get out of a broken and in the slums mindset and think your self happy!

  25. 2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

Sometimes in our times of trouble, we must think ourselves happy. It’s not always easy, but it can be done. God gives his people the power to push through. We are stronger when we are with Jesus.

  26. Verse 18 is an excellent summary of what the gospel does:
    1. It relieves from darkness.
2 it releases from the power of satan.
    3 it remits sins.
4 ir restores a lost inheritance.

    A.L.M.A.S.

  27. Greater
    Hope
    vss.22-23
“ Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sick, ye that dwell in dust: for thy few is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead “ Isaiah 26:19

We have the great hope of our resurrection upon Jesus’ return , hope of glory.

  28. 22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:

Witnessing both to small and great. There is no difference when your trusting in the savior. He fills our lives and hearts. He gives us the words to say.

  29. 6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:

7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

Paul declared before the king, that he was judge because what he believed. For the hope in the resurrection and the promise to see the New Jerusalem according to the promise made to Abraham.

He was willing to suffer even to death , for what he believed.
He mentioned in his letters: It is necessary thought many tribulations we will be saved.
Paul leaded us in good example to endure until the end.
These days it is hard to stand for your own opinion. The day will come when be a Christian will be like a plague. Our Lord is with us. He said do not be afraid!

  30. 18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

God will do anything he needs to open our eyes to follow him, God can put us though a struggle just like we’ve been learning in service the past couple of weeks, God puts us through things so we can see that the world isn’t where we belong, but instead we belong with God teaching other people about him and his word and serving him.

  31. Acts 26 Vision brings victory!
V.19-20 Therefore, king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.

The apostle paul teaches us the power of a vision God’s vision for Paul accomplished number of things:
it stopped him. Vision Allows us to see ourselves.
It sent him. Vision allows us to see others .
It strengthen him. Vision enables us to continue despite struggles and lack of resources.
it stretched him. Vision gives his conviction to stand, confidence to speak, and compassion to share.
it satisfied him. It’s satisfied him. Obedience to this vision motivators to act, it fulfills us.

  32. 2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

In any situation thinking myself happy, isn’t always easy, BUT it’s only as hard as we make it to be!!! GOD IS JUST AND THERE IS NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM!!!

  33. 28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

It’s sad that he almost turned. He should have become a Christian.

    —— Bella

2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

Happiness is a choice. Peace is a choice.
It is hard to imagine someone in prison can be happy.

  34. “Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Like Bro Azzolini said on tonight, we are nobody’s savior. We can’t make anyone be saved but we can tell them our testimony and what the Word says.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  35. 18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

When Jesus gives a vision, we must work to achieve it.

  36. 29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

Paul spoke and said for them to hear what he has spoken. For them not only to hear but to believe and see the truth.

  37. “Get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you for this purpose, to appoint you [to serve] as a minister and as a witness [to testify, with authority,] not only to the things which you have seen, but also to the things in which I will appear to you,”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Each and everyone of us has a purpose. God has revealed that purpose to each and everyone of us and if he hasn’t yet he will when it is time. Whatever purpose we may have in his kingdom we must not sit and lay dormant. We need to do what he has called us to do. Whatever he has for us to do is for us to do. We shouldn’t question it because he places each and everyone of us in a certain position. We all may have different callings and purposes but it all goes back to winning souls and seeing lives changed and people coming to the kingdom of god. Don’t sleep on the gift gift god has given you! Rise up & take your place!! It’s time to get to work in his kingdom. Those lost souls need us!

  38. 28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

Christian life is more than roses. Paul had his life shook up . We must understand we tooo will be shaken,

  39. 18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

For that very reason has God called us. To be a witness that will open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light. There is the purpose of the power that lives within us.

  40. 22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

. . . To where my help comes from.

  41. 1 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:

2 I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:

Everyday is a new day, waking up with the intent to have a good day is proven to be far more successful than waking up and wishing a bad day, God woke us up to give us another chance to think ourselves happy and have the joy of the Lord!

  42. 28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.

29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.

  43. One day I was on such a mission to Damascus, armed with the authority and commission of the leading priests. About noon, Your Majesty, as I was on the road, a light from heaven brighter than the sun shone down on me and my companions. We all fell down, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? It is useless for you to fight against my will.’ “‘Who are you, Lord?’ I asked. “And the Lord replied, ‘I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting. Now get to your feet! For I have appeared to you to appoint you as my servant and witness. Tell people that you have seen me, and tell them what I will show you in the future. And I will rescue you from both your own people and the Gentiles. Yes, I am sending you to the Gentiles to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭26:12-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Without a purpose I will wander aimlessly through life and will have nothing to show for the time spent on this earth. Lord, help me to keep my focus always on you!

  44. 22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

Bound and still testifying. Paul could’ve tried to get himself off easy but instead he recounted his testimony that might reach the souls who could hear it. What will we do when times back us into a corner? Will we hush and find ourselves an easy escape or will we declare the goodness of God? I pray we’d all be bold enough to share the great things God is doing!

  45. 18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Bro. Azzolini spoke of how God could be shaking up someone’s life to bring them to Him and we are not their savior. This brought realization to me of how many times I get in the way of what Christ is doing in the lives of my family. I pray earnestly daily for their salvation, but when things start to happen in their lives to open their eyes, to see the power of God make changes where they come to the realization of His love. I step in, I don’t want to see them go through trails and hurts. But this is a must, they must have a pig pen moment to want to return home. Lord help me to step aside and put my faith in you, for you are the only way for my family to be saved. Thank you Jesus , shake them up if that is what it takes.

  46. 18 to open their [spiritual] eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness and release from their sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified (set apart, made holy) by faith in Me.’ AMP

We must have the same prayers today. Turn from darkness to light. Turn to repentance and live for God.
