40 Days of FIRE – Day 29 – Acts Chapter 19

Day 29: Acts Ch.19. Paul was run out of the synagogue after teaching and preaching for three months, he simply went to another place. His ministry soon touched all of Asia, and those who passed through Ephesus (Christians and non-Christians alike) who sat under his teaching, took the word of God with them throughout Asia. We never know the impact of our faithfulness. All God has called us to do is to be obedient, and He does the rest. Ask God to help you be faithful to serve Him despite opposition from the world.

Acts 19

And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.

Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

And all the men were about twelve.

And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.

10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

21 After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

22 So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.

23 And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.

24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;

25 Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth.

26 Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:

27 So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.

28 And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

29 And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

30 And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not.

31 And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.

32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused: and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.

33 And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.

34 But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

35 And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

36 Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.

37 For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.

38 Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them implead one another.

39 But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.

40 For we are in danger to be called in question for this day’s uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.

41 And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

  1. 18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

So mightily did the Spirit of God work those who had practiced various forms of magical art that a great number turned to Christ, confessing their deeds. After doing so they made a public demonstration of their faith by gathering up the books that dealt with magic and burning them in a great bonfire. The original cost of the books would have been fifty thousand pieces of silver. It is difficult to determine exactly how much that would be in our currency perhaps between eight and ten thousand dollars. Noticed that they didn’t try to get any profit back from those books.

  2. Verse 4 “That explains it,” said Paul. “John preached a baptism of radical life-change so that people would be ready to receive the One coming after him, who turned out to be Jesus. If you’ve been baptized in John’s baptism, you’re ready now for the real thing, for Jesus.” We must remain faithful as many are still waiting to hear about the real thing, about Jesus. Romans 15:1-6 MSG tells us that “Those of us who are strong and able in the faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter, and not just do what is most convenient for us. Strength is for service, not status. Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?”That’s exactly what Jesus did. He didn’t make it easy for himself by avoiding people’s troubles, but waded right in and helped out. “I took on the troubles of the troubled,” is the way Scripture puts it. Even if it was written in Scripture long ago, you can be sure it’s written for us. God wants the combination of his steady, constant calling and warm, personal counsel in Scripture to come to characterize us, keeping us alert for whatever he will do next. May our dependably steady and warmly personal God develop maturity in you so that you get along with each other as well as Jesus gets along with us all. Then we’ll be a choir—not our voices only, but our very lives singing in harmony in a stunning anthem to the God and Father of our Master Jesus!” GREATER faithfulness=GREATER help=GREATER harmony!

  3. 32Inside, the people were all shouting, some one thing and some another. Everything was in confusion. In fact, most of them didn’t even know why they were there.

Just like in today’s time, many go protest but really don’t know why. Many don’t know the facts from the other side. Take the time to know God, understand God, and feel God. The more you know God the less confusion there be. For God will bring clarity, and understanding to you thru prayer.

  4. God gave Paul the power to perform unusual miracles.
Acts of the Apostles 19:11 NLT

This one verse says so much. It speaks volumes with so few words, and it echoes all throughout the rest of the chapter. Miracles are for our healing but they are also to be done to reach the Lost. Unusual miracles tells us that is not only something in the miraculous field it’s something that was even more uncommon among them. As we pray and as we seek the face of God let our hearts be leaning on him for understanding and to be empowered to do whatever he has called us to do.

  5. 28 And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
29 And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

Satin is the author of confusion. The confusion of not being in one accord with scriptural principles, which allows the door to be open to all manner of deception. The Christian walk is a walk of daily sacrifices to our will. Satin desires the fallen nature of man to seek after things that fulfill the desires of the flesh, which creates a doctrine of personal justification for all acts contrary to the scriptures.

  6. 17. The story of what happened spread quickly all through Ephesus, to Jews and Greeks alike. A solemn fear descended on the city, and the name of the Lord Jesus was greatly honored.

    18. Many who became believers confessed their sinful practices. NLT

When they heard what happened, they became believers – or, as Bro. Azzolini preached: “Hearing Is Believing.”

  7. Acts 19: 4-5 (amp) And Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, continually telling the people that they should believe in the One Who was to come after him, that is,in Jesus [ having a conviction full of joyful trust that He is Christ, the Messiah, and being obedient.
    (5) On hearing this they were baptized
[ again, this time] in the name of the Lord Jesus.
This is what the Kingdom of God is what the Kingdom of God is all about.
    Deliverance, Healing, Salvation, Miracles.
    Hallelujah Praise the Lord.

  8. 17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

18 And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.

19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

    Hallelujah!
The Word Of GOD will always prevail and grow!
    Thank You Jesus!

  9. But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?”
Acts of the Apostles 19:15 NLT

    https://bible.com/bible/116/act.19.15.NLT

This is a good question, (with exception to the source😬)
Who are we? What impact are we making in the spiritual realm? Are we walking in authority and dominion? We cannot cower behind the Name of Jesus and “hope for the best”. To fast, give ourselves in the studying of the Word, walking with God everyday and praying with authority, give ourselves over to the Holy Ghost. We can stand and use the power of the name of Jesus as a banner, a badge that lets evil know under what authority we come. If I get pulled over by someone in civilian clothes I will chuckle and drive off. If I get pulled over by someone in a uniform and a badge that says POLICE I don’t question their authority.
    Who are we??

  10. 13 NKJV “Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.””

They learned the hard way that its not enough to just know the name of JESUS if you want the power that goes with it. You must also have a relationship with Him and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
    ‭‭

  11. But as you have seen and heard, this man Paul has persuaded many people that handmade gods aren’t really gods at all. And he’s done this not only here in Ephesus but throughout the entire province! Of course, I’m not just talking about the loss of public respect for our business. I’m also concerned that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will lose its influence and that Artemis—this magnificent goddess worshiped throughout the province of Asia and all around the world—will be robbed of her great prestige!” At this their anger boiled, and they began shouting, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!” Soon the whole city was filled with confusion. Everyone rushed to the amphitheater, dragging along Gaius and Aristarchus, who were Paul’s traveling companions from Macedonia. Paul wanted to go in, too, but the believers wouldn’t let him. Some of the officials of the province, friends of Paul, also sent a message to him, begging him not to risk his life by entering the amphitheater.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭19:26-31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When the church effectively spreads the gospel, Satan will arouse opposition.
    Why would people oppose Christians?
The answer is that there is an evil spirit, the devil, who is at work in the world to oppose God.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Eph 6:12

  12. “And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we allow for the spirit of fear to take place in our hearts, then the gospel will never be spread, shared, spoken of. Our region will be lost. Jesus has given us a command. We must be willing to obey.

“And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭14:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”
    ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  13. Acts of the Apostles 19:3-6
[3]“Then what baptism did you experience?” he asked. And they replied, “The baptism of John.”
[4]Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.”
[5]As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
[6]Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied.

Jesus I pray for a great outpouring of the Holy Ghost.

    Matthew 3:11
I baptize with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I’m not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

  14. 19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

When idolatry is thrown aside, His truth prevails! This is the kind of revival we need!

  15. Acts 19:19
Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

There comes a time when we need to put away our childish things and become adults. Throwing away these strange books was a step and commitment to their faith. I remember after receiving the Holy Ghost I went to my little garage house and threw away everything. 50 gallon trash bags full of bud light platinum bottles and Heineken bottles. Empty rum and whisky bottles. I threw it all away, I begin to baptize my social media deleting anything that would cause me to stray. It’s a check up from the floor up and Jesus loves it when you clean house.

  16. GREATER
    GREATER ANOINTING

11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

The connection of GOD and man is unique. GOD speaks to man then uses man to speak to man. Humanity is witness to a connection here of GOD working through man. The apostle Paul walks in a unique GREATER ANOINTING than others. JESUS chose Paul to work through.

Imitators attempted to mimick or match the apostle Paul, but without the JESUS connection and embarrassment, humiliation and failure was the result. I believe there is some insight in this passage into how we can gain GREATER ANOINTING.

Listening to the adversary usually grants us insight and wisdom.

15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

This principal makes our Apostolic Prayer life so important. The evil spirits know when we have been with JESUS. We place ourselves in spiritual danger when we attempt SPIRITUAL VICTORY without proper SPIRITUAL preparation.

GREATER ANOINTING = GREATER CONNECTION = GREATER PRAYER = GREATER FAITH = GREATER MIRACLES

  17. 13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

We are in the last days as we see all The violence and the weather changing and earthquakes in diverse places that is the word of God all these will happen before he comes. We must get closer to God and reach out to the loss lost. We must be full of the Holy Ghost so that we can cast out demons and bring souls to God.

  18. 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

These scriptures show us that they took a cloth from Paul to give to the sick and they were healed. Today we still use a prayer cloth, anointed with oil and with prayer to heal. God is able and knows the need and is mighty to heal!

  19. The Kingdom of Jesus is GREATER
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?

This is only one of many New Testament scriptures that confirm evil spirits live in folks. There are many instances in the Word where demons came out of folk in the Bible. I think one day I’d like to do a study and mark down every instance of possession, but the fact of the matter is that there are many times folks were delivered. I myself, was delivered from demonic spirits that were in me. When I received the Holy Ghost, them rascals were ripped outta me (I felt them leave).

We need freedom in our land, We need folk delivered just like they were delivered in the book.

  20. 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

I have met others that say the same thing!!! I can say that most of them now are filled with the HOLY GHOST!!! HALELUJAH!!! But it still throws me for a loop when I hear these words from others still!!! How can this be that there are people that don’t know that there is HOLY GHOST OR HOLY SPIRIT?
The church must do GREATER at getting to these that know not!!! HALELUJAH!!!

  21. 14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.

They were being foolish and were trying to cast out demons without having any knowledge of what to do. They didn’t have a relationship with God themselves and they didn’t have faith in God so the devil spoke and overpowered them because of their lack of knowledge.

  22. Demetrius was more concerned about his carnal wealth, than his spiritual man. When we focus on the carnal things – getting a promotion, getting more money, getting bigger houses, buying, buying, buying, we squeeze out the spiritual things and bring confusion to our lives. The bible clearly states, “seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things….. will be added unto you.”

God knows exactly which job we need, how much money we need, and He is able and will supply those needs, but when we make that our first priority and we miss time spent with God’s people at the sanctuary, or time teaching a bible study, or time in prayer, time with our families, because we are so focused on the bigger job, the more money, we are out of balance. If we will God our best, our first, He will multiply what we have and it will go further, we will be able to do more with it and we will be blessed because of our obedience.

  23. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

When Paul found disciples of John the Baptist in Ephesus. He wanted to know if they had received the Holy Ghost since they believed. This shows that a person does not receive the Holy Ghost automatically when they believe. He inquired about their baptism. They said it was John’s baptism. Paul explained that John’s baptism was incomplete, so He baptized them in the name of the Lord Jesus. He laid his hands on them and they received the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues and prophesied. So, this passage verifies the correct baptism and the evidence of the Holy Ghost which is tongues.

  24. 20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
    *********************
For the word of God to grow in this city, it must first be told. For God’s word to prevail we must first share it. Not everyone reads the bible, listen to a sermon or even know that they need to know. As Christians we must show who we are, followers of Christ. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? When you tell others about the Lord and His salvation, do they see in you the one you confess? The Holy Spirit in us will prevail to reach a city of sin and bring about a revival. I look around the sanctuary and I can see Christ in so many, the true believers, the ones who would sacrifice it all for Him. I hope others can see that in me. Thank you Jesus.

  25. 34 But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
35 And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?
Even when the crowd had seen the miracles and wonders of God through Paul with all that they still don’t walk away from the idolatry they were so in love with them.
These phenomena still going on today days in many Christian churches in a different way of I idolatry, The prophet Jeremiah saw all these deceptions witch revealed by John in revelations chapter 14 the three demons that went out to deceive the world.
Jeremiah 2;25 Your shoes are worn out, and your throat is parched from running here and there to worship foreign gods. “Stop!” I shouted, but you replied, “No! I love those gods too much.”

  26. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Praise Jesus for the Holy Ghost

  27. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

It matters how we are baptized. It’s only by the name of Jesus that our sins will be washed away

  28. 19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

Revival is here. God’s word will prevail!!

  29. The Living Bible
    vs-2
Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?he asked them.
No they replied, we don’t know what you mean. What is the Holy Spirit.

As Paul became acquainted with the disciples at Ephesus it became clear something was lacking. His question about receiveing the Holy Spirit shows that Paul expected any true believer to have received the Spirit conversation. His discovery that they knew only Johns baptism explained everything.Like Apollo’s, they knew the Messiah was coming. They just didn’t know He had arrived.

Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed.
When you are wittiness you always need to ask this question and be able to answer it.
    (Neither religion nor superstition satisfies)
    ONLY JESUS

  30. Acts 19:17-20
    17) And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also swelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord JESUS was magnified.
    18) And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.
    19) Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
    20) So Mightily Grew The Word Of God And Prevailed.

What caught my attention in vs.20 was “The Word Of God – Prevailed.”
Prevail means to persuade (coax, convince, sway, prompt, etc…) someone to do something.
God’s Word Grew and also Prevailed. It caused – persuaded men to Come, Confess, and Shew their deeds. They were persuaded to do something about their curious arts books, and they burned them.
Also Prevail means to prove more powerful than opposing forces; be victorious.
Heb. 4:12 says, “For the Word of God is Quick, and Powerful, and Sharper than any twoedged sword,…
God’s Word will always Prevail because it is MORE POWERFUL than any opposing forces; It will always Be VICTORIOUS!!

The Power of The Holy Ghost Cannot Be Bought

    vss 13-16

The Name Of Jesus is not to be used as magical.
We exercise authority through relationship with Jesus Christ.

  33. “This went on for the next two years, so that people throughout the province of Asia—both Jews and Greeks—heard the word of the Lord.

So the message about the Lord spread widely and had a powerful effect.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭19:10, 20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There’s a message that we must get out to the world. The Word of God must increase within us first and then to those around us. Then miracles will begin to happen in people’s lives. We will see souls saved. Increase the Word in your life! Let Jesus out and we will see miracles signs and wonders.

“And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭6:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But the word of God grew and multiplied.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭12:24‬ ‭KJV‬

  34. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

The people heard and then obeyed. It take a wise man to present the word in a way that loves immediately take notice and obey.

  35. 8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.

We must speak with boldness at all times. The enemy wants us to be timid, but God has given us boldness. The power to stand firm is within us.

  36. 26 Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:

In some chapters before, The Holy Spirit did not let Paul speak the Word in Asia at that moment,Acts 16:6),but later he did. It was not the right time and hour for people to receive the word.
Demtrus, the silversmith was worried about his business. He described that almost in ALL Asia this man has separated people to the Way.
The Lord knows exactly the right time for everyone to know the Lord. Just pray for the harvest, that the Lord make thisty for God.

  37. 3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Don’t be afraid to admit when you are wrong. It takes a very big person to admit or agree when they are wrong about something. Not only did these people admit to baptizing the wrong way, but they rebaptized them and those around them. Also, be open to change. We live in a fast paced world now. Change is not a bad thing. It helps us to grow, it helps us to learn, and it helps us to to recognize some personal growth areas as well.

  38. “and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?” “John’s baptism,” they replied.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:2-3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

All it took was asking a question. All we have to do is get the conversation started and god will lead us through the rest of it. We don’t have to be afraid to talk to people about the baptism of Jesus Christ and how to get to heaven. All we have to do is come to them with a nice spirit and ask a question. You will be surprised how far the conversation will go with asking just one question. That’s all it took was one question. Don’t be afraid to ask and speak up. Let the lord use you as he sees fit.

  39. So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.

Whom all Asia and the world worshppeth… That is the lie, the deception that the enemy would like for you to believe. That you are the odd ball, that you are the wrong one. Becuase the whole world is doing it and you’re not. Therefore you experience the fear of missing out. Don’t fall into this lie abs trap. Not the whole world is given to falsehood.
Don’t be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

  40. Acts 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

“Heard”…….We must keep doing what we are commanded to do so they may HEAR and believe.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all Nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things.

  41. 1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

When people are hungry, they are ready to receive when Jesus is calling.

  42. 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

Soon, we too will see many special miracles here at PoFW.

  43. 13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

You might ask, how could this be good, well, because the enemy knows who has a relationship with Jesus, and who is clueless.

  44. 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

How awesome would it be to be a modern day Paul? To be one of the most amazing vestals that God used. The same power lives in us and I pray to let this light shine for all to see.

  45. 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

  46. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER! 12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

    So great!

  47. “When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬
