Acts 1

The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.

13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

  1. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

While Jesus walked with the disciples, they were followers. After Jesus assended into heaven, the disciples received the Holy Ghost. It was after this receiving of the Holy Ghost, the disciples became leaders. The Holy Spirit dwelling in us will give us power to lead others into the Kingdow fold.

  2. 3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

They were all in unity with Jesus that’s why they saw many infallible proofs.
    Hallelujah!
    Thank You Jesus!

  3. Verses 21-22 MSG “Judas must now be replaced. The replacement must come from the company of men who stayed together with us from the time Jesus was baptized by John up to the day of his ascension, designated along with us as a witness to his resurrection.” I had a thought last night about being identified by your fruit and wondered how it would tie into today’s blog. When they spoke of replacing Judas, they wanted someone who was designated among them, someone who was a witness to what had just taken place. So can you bear witness to what God is doing among us? Can people see that you have been designated among His people? Let our fruit witness to the people around us of what God is doing in these last days. Be a fruitful witness!

  4. 3. To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

Jesus could have arisen straight from the tomb and kept rising up to heaven. He stayed forty days to settle by infallible proofs that He is alive so that there could be no doubt in the minds of those that were to carry on His mission.

  5. Acts 1: 14 -15 ( amp) All of these with their minds in full agreement devoted themselves steadfastly to prayer,
( waiting together) with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
    (15) Now one of those days Peter arose among the brethren, the whole number of whom gathered together was about a hundred and twenty.
2 chronicles 7: 14 If My people who are called by My name shall humble themselves , pray, seek, crave and require of necessity My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven ,forgive their sin,and heal their land.
As we come together in unity and seek the Lord first, Repent, and Pray in the Holy Spirit everyday.
    Thank you Jesus for Salvation.

  6. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

We were left with a promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. That’s all I need to endure a promise from my Lord Jesus Christ.

  7. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Let your light shine everywhere you go so your life can be a witness to the world!!!!

  8. 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

The hardest thing to do is wait! But it is through the waiting that we learn who we are and why we are waiting.
Jesus said go wait for a promise of the Holy Ghost being poured out. We know many started out waiting but git tried of waiting and left. Jesus was saying yes it is a little wait but the reward is worth it.

What has God promised us that it hasn’t happened yet?
We need to stay with it hold to it until God brings it to pass. Enjoy the process God is taking you through.

  9. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts of the Apostles 1:8 NLT

The Holy Ghost is given to us for empowerment. Every individual has been given a unique but yet similar assignment from Christ. We are called to be witnesses to this earth. We are to live and to speak all the things the Lord would have us to say and do, the Holy Ghost we receive is actually for other people, but for it to reach them it must use us as a vessel, so that they might receive the same empowerment

  10. 16 Brothers it was necessary for the scriptures to come true concerning Judas, who betrayed Jesus by guiding the mob to him, for this was predicted long ago by the Holy Spirit
    Speaking through King David.
    ——
Let us not be surprised, nor disturbed if things happened while waiting, while praying, while worshiping
Hoping for those promises that God has given to us to come to pass.
Again, let us keep those promises alive
And when the flesh says” it’s not gonna happen
    It’s too late..”
The Spirit says “ white God, all things are possible “
For the promises of God are yay and amen.”
    Hallelujah
Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Certain things must happen before the glorious day.
To God be the glory because He is in control.

  11. 3 NLT “During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.”
    ‭‭
JESUS made sure His apostles had no doubt he was alive because he appeared to them several times emphasizing certainty of His resurrection.

  12. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth .

Greater witnesses with power of the Holy Ghost in all the world in these last days.

  13. In my first book I told you, Theophilus, about everything Jesus began to do and teach until the day he was taken up to heaven after giving his chosen apostles further instructions through the Holy Spirit. During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God. Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1:1-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I am sure that it was not easy for the disciples to wait on the Lord to give them the power needed to do His work. It may not be easy for us to wait on Him either but if we try to do things without His power it will be useless. I just want to be faithful in sharing the gospel as He opens the doors and gives me opportunity.

  14. I love POFW LIVE JESUS GIVE JESUS2 GREATER! What a phenomenal experience the apostles experienced! Praise God and his mercy endureth forever. Thank you Jesus ! Without you we would be nothing, sinners saved by nothing.

  15. GREATER POWER = GREATER WITNESS

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

There is much to be thankful for serving in The Kingdom of GOD. As Born Again APOSTOLIC believers we are BLESSED with all the benefits of JESUS and HIS Kingdom.

JESUS gave clear and specific instructions to the disciples in regard to their MISSION. They were instructed to wait until they received the POWER of GOD, the Holy Ghost and then GO from there with the POWER from GOD and be witnesses everywhere.

Somehow as believers it is tempting to lose focus in regard to why we have been given a GREATER POWER from GOD. Some use it to chase devils, some use it operate Spiritual Gifts, some use it to feel better (joy, peace, hope). Some use to apprear spiritual and all of these are benefits of being FILLED with the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

    BUT

JESUS gave us GREATER POWER to be GREATER WITNESSES. We must honestly answer the question, “when was the last time that I used the power of the Holy Ghost to show someone else the POWER and LOVE of JESUS”.

Lets purpose to apply this GREAT opportunity over this remainder of this week and see JESUS restore backsliders and draw sinners to HIS Gracious Kingdom.

We need just tell others what we have in the BIBLE that JESUS has done, what we have seen JESUS do @ThePOFW and most importantly what JESUS has done for us.

    iRepent
    iPraise
    iPray
    iWork
    iLive
    iGive
    iReap
    iGo
    iBlessYouInTheNameOfTheLordJESUS
iSee a REVIVAL and HARVEST building that is GREATER than anything I have ever seen coming to The POFW.

  16. The Kingdom of Heaven is GREATER
3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

Jesus is awesome! He left nothing to chance. He knew the disciples needed confirmation and he walked 40 days on earth giving that confirmation. I’m grateful I serve a God who understands human frailties.

  17. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There is an undeniable power that comes with the HG!!

  18. The Living Bible
    vs-8
But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify about me with great effects, to the people in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria and to the ends of the earth, about my death and resurrection.

Witness: A witness is a person who “gives” evidence basing his or her testimony concerning actual events on direct personal knowledge. The apostles gave this kind of evidence concerning Christ’s life and resurrection. You and I can give this kind of evidence concerning God’s work in our lives.

Thank you Jesus God has done many miracles in my life that I can witness about. I had eye surgery and had cristal clear in plants put in my eyes. About a year later my eyes got very infected. Whent to the eye doctor and was told this would be a lengthy process to fix. A week later I was at church praying and when I opened my eyes God had healed them. That was Sunday night the next morning I had an eye doctor oppointment. When I got to my appointment she checked my eyes and she totally
(Freaked out) She told me you have new eyes she couldn’t believe it.
This gave me an open door to witness to her why my eyes were brand new. Also inviting her to church. Once a year she checks my eyes 👀 and they always came out still like new eyes.
Every year I get to wittiness to her and invite her to church.

  19. “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Don’t hold back what GOD has put within you!
It’s already in us to proclaim the good news to all people. Away with doubt, fear, faithless. All these are tools of the enemy that he brings to your mind. It makes you doubt who you are in Christ Jesus, when you begin to meditate on these lies.
    Let us all rise up ;
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
    ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

  20. 4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

The process of “waiting” is hard sometimes. We get anxious, we get angry, we get frustrated, yet we must have faith to believe above all that. Just being transparent today – the waiting for those things prophesied to POFW is a struggle right now. We hear the word of the Lord, the prophecies, the faith expressed, but in the natural we see the empty chairs, the effort going for in prayer and outreach, and yet the promise has not come. We must not grow weary in well doing in HIS time and HIS season we WILL REAP.

  21. Acts of the Apostles 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

    Romans 15:13
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

  22. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

They prayed without ceasing. They prayed together in unity. Greater things can happen when we do the same. Build a life of prayer and watch what God can and will do!

  23. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

    10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

People are still searching the skies. They are looking for answers in astrology, the stars and whatever they can make sense in their own minds. Instead of looking in the bible for the answers. Jesus ascended into heaven and one day will come back the same way. Except this time He will return on a white horse as King, we will hear the trumpet sound. We must not stand around gazing into the sky wondering when, we must be about our Lord business, testifying, warning, evangelizing. We will know when He returns, we just have to be ready and show others of His returning so they too can be ready. Thank you Jesus

  24. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Where ever you go there is no stipulation on sharing Jesus. Jews and gentiles, believers and non believers, Jesus must be preached. Share your testimony and share others testimonies because someone somewhere needs to hear what God is doing!

  25. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

    Hallelujah

  26. 13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

They were in one place and in one accord praying for the promise Jesus gave them: to be filled with power from on high. They obeyed without even knowing what it was going to be, but prayed with expectancy. Our prayers must have this same expectancy- that God will answer and we will receive. The most urgent prayer of this hour is for souls to be born again into the kingdom of God.

  27. ““So now we must choose a replacement for Judas from among the men who were with us the entire time we were traveling with the Lord Jesus— from the time he was baptized by John until the day he was taken from us. Whoever is chosen will join us as a witness of Jesus’ resurrection.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1:21-22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It wasn’t just the 12 who travelled with Jesus. He had followers that may have never been recognized but they still followed Him. Your position/title doesn’t matter, what matters is your willingness to follow Him through it all.

  28. Acts 1:12, “Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.”

The mount of Olivet “Olives” is a mountain range which is made up of 3 peaks located on the Eastern border of the city of Jerusalem. The highest peak is 2,684 feet and offers a scenic view of Old Jerusalem.
After all the times I/we have read Acts 1, this verse popped out at me. Why? On our 40 Days of Fire this year the theme was “See You On The Mountain Top.”
It was on “The Mountain Top” where JESUS gave a PROMISE to the disciples; HE gave them a MISSION of what they were to DO; and they saw JESUS ascending up into Heaven, a MIRACLE.
    PROMISE, MISSION, & MIRACLE!
So the question is, “Since reaching ‘The Mountain Top,’ what PROMISES has God given to me/you? What MISSION has He given me/you? What MIRACLES are me/you about to see?
GREATER Things Happen On “The Mountain Top”

  29. 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

    Let go, and let God.
We might not always understand the process but it’s for the best. God had a plan for each and every one of us and we just need to follow accordingly to the plan. We must not let our flesh have its own desire but follow through His spirit. I pray this day that we are all praying and asking God to lead us in the path that we need to be taking!!!

  30. I learned that To he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being to see the forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God and, being assembled together with them, he commanded them they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for a promise of the Father, which, says he, you have heard of me.

  31. “Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before.”
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Sometimes we leave the place God brought us to because we are impatient to wait for God instructions to send us to receive our promise. I have seen many people leave a church all because they were not patient waiting for their promise.
If God already promise you something, WAIT on Him and the time he has set. Because of our disobedient we loose the promise. We chance our blessing for a bowl of lentils.

  32. 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Jesus is going to come back just like he left. He will descend from heaven. We must have the Holy Ghost in order to be caught up to meet him. We must have oil in our lamps. Our lamp must be burning.

  33. 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

We don’t need to know when God will return or when miracles will happen, we just have to have faith because either way the will of God will be done there is no changing it wether we know when he will move or whenever he comes for his bride. We have to have faith in God.

  34. Acts 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

What happens if you knew everything? One may say that is a great power to have! But is it? I’d say it could be a dangerous thing. I don’t belive a human could handle that kind of knowledge. Would you be able to still love and forgive knowing that someone was going to do you wrong in the future? Would you be able to trust, knowing that a few months down the road someone will betray your trust and hurt your heart? Would you fall in love and get married knowing all the wrongs, faults, let downs and heartache your spouse was going to commit in the road of life ahead? There wouldn’t be any civilization. No marriages no children, no families. And yet without knowing we take a step of faith in love. We trust not filling knowing someone or what they may do. Not knowing can actually be better. Put your trust, faith, hope, and love in God. Yes, yes I know it’s hard. It’s hard to lose control, to not know, but take it one step at a time. Change your attitude and perspective. It is not for us to know the times and the seasons but can you see God’s love behind it all. Live life. Live it with and for God. Have life more abundantly in Christ Jesus and be not afraid. One step at a time life, and events will unfold itself. He is a good father. So it may be that you may have a little fear of the future or a situation in your life or you may not know how something needs to happen. Rest in Him. Rest in God’s love. And allow your heart to learn to trust Him. May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding guard our hearts and minds, and may we simply Rest at his feet experiencing his love. He cares for us, therefore cast your cares upon him and encourage yourself in the Lord your God.

  35. Greater
    Testimony Of The Holy Ghost

Acts 1:5 “ But ye shall be baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence “

God delivered what He had promised when He sent the Holy Ghost,
The Holy Ghost will transform , empower, give you a boldness and direction. What a wonderful testimony!
The work of the church is simply a continuation of Christ’s work on earth, inspired and directed by the same Spirit.

  36. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

We need more baptized in the power of the Holy Ghost. It is the Holy Ghost that saves us from this world. If we are to be conquerors, we must abide by the word of God. In him we live, move and have our being.

  37. Acts 1

1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Due to Jesus dying on the cross for us, we now have the opportunity to receive the Holy Ghost.

1:8 You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses …to the ends of the earth.
We must have the Holy Ghost in order to have true salvation. God gives us a way to be saved!

  38. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samari

We have to go, we cannot stand still.

  39. 16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

We often fail to realize the importance to, and the impact on our ministries that those who come against us, or those that hurt us have. If we never know pain, we never can know how good the joy can be when we walk in it.

  40. “But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.””
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Once we become saved and receive the Holy Ghost and get baptized it doesn’t stop there. We are his disciples and it is our job to be witnesses and win souls. We must not stop with ourselves being saved, but we must have that discerning spirit to see everyone around us saved. Our souls should cry out to those who are lost and don’t know him.

  41. “John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.””
    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://bible.com/bible/116/act.1.5.NLT

Big impact tool decisions need to be made with the knowledge of the Holy Ghost. We need to seek God’s wisdom and knowledge. Jesus let them know don’t leave until you receive the Holy Ghost. Sometimes we need to stay put where God has put us. The Holy Ghost will guide us.

“Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before.”

Jesus let them know don’t leave until you receive the Holy Ghost. Sometimes we need to stay put where God has put us. The Holy Ghost will guide us.

    ‭‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬
    https://bible.com/bible/116/act.1.4.NLT

  42. 22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

Have you made sure to do the one thing? For unto us. . . And we are. . . There are three things you have to do. . . If you want to go to Heaven!!

  43. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

  44. Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

  45. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Hallelujah!!! My God! Thank You for the Power of Your Spirit!!

  46. “They all came together regularly to pray. The women joined them too. So did Jesus’ mother Mary and his brothers.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭NIRV‬‬

There’s noting like coming together in prayer. There’s something very powerful when we gather together in one place. When we are united in prayer is when things begin to move. The Kingdom begins to come and things change.
“Spend a lot of time in prayer. Always be watchful and thankful. Pray for us too. Pray that God will open a door for our message. Then we can preach the mystery of Christ. Because I preached it, I am being held by chains. Pray that I will preach it clearly, as I should.”
    ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭4:2-4‬ ‭NIRV‬‬
